Abstract:
Teachers and parents involved with gifted and talented programming disseminate something which carries with it a great need for resourcefulness and initiative, that of distributing roles and responsibilities within a given organisation. This process of allotting responsibility, giving room for individual initiative and resourcefulness in carrying out that responsibility, and ultimately requesting accountability for what has been accomplished is referred to as stewardship. The principle of stewardship functions on all levels in a heirarchy of leadership. An effective leader once suggested a leadership procedure for one who has supervision or direction over others' lives: “Teach them correct principles, and then they govern themselves.” Based on this perspective Five Stewardship Principles suggest a practical process by which leaders may effectively handle their own stewardships and effectively guide those who work under them in fulfiling their stewardships as well.

Junaid, Ilham. "THE VALUE OF STEWARDSHIP FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF BIRA BEACH AS TOURISM ATTRACTION." Jurnal Kawistara 7, no. 2 (June 9, 2018): 156. http://dx.doi.org/10.22146/kawistara.26223.

Full text
Abstract:
Asean Economic Community (AEC) requires the tourism industry to employ human resources based on competencies as well as the necessary to manage tourism attraction (including beach) in sustainable ways. This research aims at proposing recommendation or strategies in managing Bira beach as tourism attraction under the framework of ‘stewardship’ for sustainable tourism. This research also investigates the visitors’ perception about the actual condition of Bira beach which then links to the value of stewardship. A qualitative research in 2015 (and updated in 2017) was employed to achieve the research goals through participant observation and interviews. The research reveals that in order to support Bira beach as tourism attraction, attention by different stakeholders is needed by implementing strategic management through the concept of stewardship. This paper recommends three kinds of stewardship including structural, functional and independent stewardships. The paper also argues that the stewardship concept is useful if there is high commitment and consensus among stakeholders to work based on the principles of responsibility.

Simmons, Frederick V. "What Christian Environmental Ethics Can Learn from Stewardship’s Critics and Competitors." Studies in Christian Ethics 33, no. 4 (June 28, 2019): 529–48. http://dx.doi.org/10.1177/0953946819859513.

Abstract:
In this article I distill a trio of lessons for Christian environmental ethics from the stewardship model’s detractors and rivals. I begin by delineating stewardship and explaining the model’s initial prevalence as Christians’ primary response to widespread recognition of environmental crisis and their faith’s alleged culpability for it. I then distinguish two waves of criticism that, by denouncing stewardship’s substance and method, thoroughly discredited the model among Christian ethicists. Yet, as stewardship was being rejected for its susceptibility to anthropocentrism, one of its chief competitors—the land ethic—was being repudiated for its liability to misanthropy. I argue that these developments give Christians cause to (1) affirm a hierarchical non-anthropocentrism that prioritizes human interests; (2) premise such priority in part on human embrace of non-anthropocentrism; and (3) interpret environmental ethics as more than a matter of models like stewardship.

Abstract:
The discovery of antibiotic drugs was one of the most significant medical achievements of the 20th century. The improper use of antibiotic drugs to prevent and treat infections has resulted in the emergence of resistance. Antimicrobic stewardship programs are becoming a mainstay in the fight against multidrug-resistant organisms. Individual clinicians should be encouraged to adopt the principles of antibiotic stewardship when treating lower-extremity infections in their scope of practice. First, a review of the available literature outlining the concept and practice of antibiotic stewardship is offered. Second, a discussion describing how to adopt and apply these principles to the individual clinician's practice as it applies to lower-extremity infections is offered. Finally, specific antimicrobial pharmacologic spectra and antibiogram information are offered.
