Abstract:
Il pluralismo ecclesiologico nella teologia cattolica influisce sulle soluzioni giuridiche della Chiesa cattolica, anche in materia dell’ecumenismo. Qui osserviamo una grande differenza tra i due codici del diritto canonico della Chiesa Latina. L’autore dell’articolo presenta dunque la dimensione ecclesiologica della teologia postconciliare, sottolinea il pluralismo teologico ed ecumenico esistente nella Chiesa cattolica e nelle altre Chiese ed Comunità ecclesiastiche. Di conseguenza analizza la dipendenza tra l’ecclesiologia, lo stato dell’azione ecumenica e il diritto della Chiesa cattolica.

Abstract:
La Teologia del Diritto sviluppatasi nella Canonistica cattolica con l’insegnamento di Mörsdorf mostra le proprie radici più profonde nel problema espressamente germanico dell’autonomia giuridica delle Chiese rispetto allo Stato. La questione venne posta da Sohm negando ogni fondamento a tale autonomia: il Kirchenrecht è di competenza esclusiva dello Stato e contraddice la natura della Chiesa. A Barmen (1934), guidata da Barth, la Chiesa evangelica si ruppe rifiutando le leggi razziali naziste per dotarsi di una regolamentazione autonoma intra-ecclesiale (ancora: Kirchenrecht) da fondare attraverso una Kirchenrechtstheologie anziché filosoficamente. Nel dopo-guerra Mörsdorf seguì tale linea per rivitalizzare il Diritto canonico (Kanonischenrecht) pre-conciliare. Ciò avvenne, tuttavia, scambiando il Kanonischenrecht col Kirchenrecht, poiché il vocabolario e la cultura tedesca erano ormai cambiati. Il Kirchenrecht di Sohm era Diritto dello Stato sulle Chiese (Diritto ecclesiastico); quello di Mörsdorf era Diritto della Chiesa su se stessa (Diritto canonico). Un solo termine per due realtà inconciliabili.

In un’epoca segnata dalla necessità di un vero dialogo ecumenico e interreligioso, è importante riflettere sulle iniziative e momenti chiave di questo riavvicinamento tra la Chiesa cattolica e alcune confessioni luterane; quindi, analizziamo l’urgente necessità di un dialogo interreligioso che storicamente é stato in costante tensione e conflitto. C’ é la speranza che emtrambe le chiese potessero trovare una nuova unitá nel loro servizio comune del mondo, secondo il vangelo di Gesú.

La caduta dell'Impero ottomano comportň un mutamento anche nelle relazioni interne al mondo cristiano ortodosso. La creazione e il consolidamento degli Stati nazionali balcanici e delle Chiese ortodosse autocefale posero le basi per la ridefinizione dei confini giurisdizionali delle Chiese nazionali. Negli anni Venti e Trenta l'Albania e la Grecia cercarono di manovrare le istituzioni religiose ortodosse per esercitare pressione sul Patriarcato ecumenico: obiettivo delle azioni diplomatiche greche e albanesi era quello di spostare l'influenza culturale esercitata dalle istituzioni religiose sulle popolazioni dell'area dell'odierna Albania meridionale, abitata in prevalenza da fedeli ortodossi. Lo Stato greco era desideroso di poter avanzare rivendicazioni su questi territori: la difesa della popolazione ortodossa rappresentava una giustificazione ideale. La zona oggetto della disputa divenne cosě una, contesa tra la tradizionale giurisdizione patriarcale, la nascente Chiesa ortodossa albanese e la Chiesa di Grecia, desiderosa di ereditare da Costantinopoli il prestigio e il retaggio storico della cristianitŕ orientale.

Abstract:
Il saggio ricostruisce la genesi della ‘Premessa’ al Trattato del Laterano del 1929, in cui le Due Alte Parti – governo italiano e Santa Sede, con le firme di Mussolini e del cardinale Gasparri – garantirono alla Chiesa «una sovranità indiscutibile pur nel campo internazionale». Da qui la «necessità di costituire, con particolari modalità, la Città del Vaticano […] con giurisdizione sovrana della Santa Sede», e l’art. 2, «l’Italia riconosce la sovranità della Santa Sede nel campo internazionale come attributo inerente alla sua natura, in conformità alla sua tradizione ed alle esigenze della sua missione». Il saggio considera che i giuristi – Vittorio Emanuele Orlando, che, da presidente del Consiglio nel maggio giugno 1919 tentò una trattativa con la Santa Sede per la risoluzione della Questione romana, e Amedeo Giannini, che tra i primi suggerì a Mussolini un «nuovo codice della legislazione ecclesiastica» – legarono la Conciliazione alla crisi dello Stato liberale ed al «regime diverso», insediatosi in Italia il 28 Ottobre 1922. Il saggio considera che già nel 1925 il guardasigilli Alfredo Rocco coglieva nelle ‘due sovranità’ una pietra d’inciampo nella costruzione dello Stato totalitario, anche se dichiarava di dover abbandonare l’«agnostico disinteresse del vecchio dottrinarismo liberale». Il saggio considera che Rocco rimase ai margini delle trattative con la Santa Sede, dal momento che metteva in guardia dal riconoscimento del «Pontefice sovrano, soggetto di diritto internazionale», e da «un altro Stato nello Stato», principio su cui convergevano giuristi quali Ruffini, Scaduto, Schiappoli, Orlando. Le trattative segrete furono affidate a Domenico Barone – consigliere di Stato, fiduciario del Duce – e Francesco Pacelli, avvocato concistoriale e fiduciario del cardinal Gasparri; la sovranità della Chiesa ed un suo ‘Stato’ appariva come la posta in gioco. Il saggio considera che la nascita dello Stato della Città del Vaticano complicava l’‘immagine’ del Regno d’Italia persona giuridica unitaria, ‘costruita’ dalla giuspubblicistica nazionale, difesa anche da Giovanni Gentile sul «Corriere della Sera». Mostra che il fascismo intese riconoscere il cattolicesimo «religione dominante dello Stato» per rafforzare la legge 13 Maggio 1871 n. 214, «sulle guarentigie pontificie e le relazioni fra Stato e Chiesa», che aveva previsto un favor religionis per la Chiesa cattolica. La Conciliazione risalta come l’approdo di un lungo processo storico, che offriva forma giuridica al ruolo che il cattolicesimo aveva e avrebbe rivestito per l’identità italiana; non a caso nel Marzo 1929 Agostino Gemelli celebrava una «nuova Italia riconciliata con la Chiesa e con sè stessa, con la propria storia e la propria bimillenaria civiltà». Il saggio mostra che la sovranità della Chiesa e lo Stato della Città del Vaticano furono molto discusse nel dibattito parlamentare sulla ratifica dei Patti firmati l’11 Febbraio 1929, con i toni duri di Mussolini, che definì la Chiesa «non sovrana e nemmeno libera». Rocco affermò che il «regime fascista» riconosceva «de iure» una sovranità «immutabile de facto»; rispondeva agli «improvvisati e non sinceri zelatori dello Stato sovrano, ma anticlericale», che «lo Stato è fascista, non abbandona parte alcuna della sua sovranità». Jemolo e Del Giudice – estimatori delle « nuove basi del diritto ecclesiastico – colsero il senso di questa «pace armata» tra governo e Santa Sede. Il saggio esamina l’ampio dibattito sulla «natura giuridica» della sovranità della Chiesa e sulla «statualità» dello Stato della Città del Vaticano, tra diritto pubblico, ecclesiastico, internazionale, teoria generale dello Stato. Coglie uno snodo nel pensiero di Santi Romano, indicato da Giuseppe Dossetti alla Costituente come assertore del «principio della pluralità degli ordinamenti giuridici». Il saggio esamina poi il confronto sullo Stato italiano come Stato confessionale, teoria sostenuta da Santi Romano, negata da Francesco Scaduto. Taluni – Calisse, Solmi, Checchini, Schiappoli – guardavano ai Patti Lateranensi come terreno del rafforzamento della sovranità dello Stato; Meacci scriveva di «Stato superconfessionale, cioè al di sopra di tutte le confessioni»; Piola e Del Giudice tematizzavano uno «Stato confessionista». Jemolo – che nel 1927 definiva la «sovranità della Chiesa questione forse insolubile» – affermava che, dopo gli Accordi, «il nostro Stato non sarà classificabile tra i Paesi separatisti, ma tra quelli confessionali». Il saggio esamina poi il dibattito sulla sovranità internazionale della Chiesa – discussa, tra gli altri, da Anzillotti, Diena, Morelli – a proposito della distinzione o unità tra la Santa Sede e lo Stato Città del Vaticano – prosecuzione dello Stato pontificio o «Stato nuovo» – e della titolarità della sovranità. Il saggio si sofferma poi sul dilemma di Ruffini, «ma cos’è precisamente questo Stato», analizzando uno degli ultimi scritti del maestro torinese, il pensiero di Orlando, Jemolo, Giannini, una monografia di Donato Donati e una di Mario Bracci, due dense «Lectures» di Mario Falco sul Vatican city, tenute ad Oxford, Ordinamento giuridico dello Stato della Città del Vaticano di Federico Cammeo, in cui assumeva particolare rilievo la «sovranità, esercitata dal Sommo Pontefice», per l’«importanza speciale» nei «rapporti con l’Italia». Quanto agli ecclesiasticisti, il saggio esamina le prospettive poi sviluppate nell’Assemblea Costituente, uno scritto del giovane Giuseppe Dossetti – docente alla Cattolica – sulla Chiesa come ordinamento giuridico primario, connotato da sovranità ed autonomia assoluta non solo in spiritualibus; le pagine di Jannaccone e D’Avack sulla «convergenza tra potestas ecclesiastica e sovranità dello Stato come coesistenza necessaria della Chiesa e dello Stato e delle relative potestà»; un ‘opuscolo’ di Jemolo «per la pace religiosa in Italia», che nel 1944 poneva la libertà come architrave di nuove relazioni tra Stato e Chiesa. Il saggio conclude il percorso della «parola sovranità» – così Aldo Moro all’Assemblea Costituente – nell’esame del sofferto approdo all’articolo 7 primo comma della Costituzione, con la questione definita da Orlando «zona infiammabile». Sull’‘antico’ statualismo liberale e sul ‘monismo giuridico’ si imponeva il romaniano pluralismo; Dossetti ricordava la «dottrina dell’ultimo trentennio contro la tesi esclusivista della statualità del diritto». Rispondeva alle obiezioni dei Cevolotto, Calamandrei, Croce, Orlando, Nenni, Basso in nome di un «dato storico», «la Chiesa cattolica […] ordinamento originario […] senza alcuna compressione della sovranità dello Stato». Quanto al discusso voto comunista a favore dell’art. 7 in nome della «pace religiosa», Togliatti ricordava anche le Dispense del 1912 di Ruffini – imparate negli anni universitari a Torino – a suo dire ispiratrici della «formulazione Lo Stato e la Chiesa cattolica sono, ciascuno nel proprio ordine, indipendenti e sovrani». Tra continuità giuridiche e discontinuità politiche, il campo di tensione tra ‘le due sovranità’ si è rivelato uno degli elementi costitutivi dell’identità italiana, nel segnare la storia nazionale dei rapporti tra Stato e Chiesa dall’Italia liberale a quella fascista a quella repubblicana, in un prisma di temi-problemi, che ancora oggi ci interroga.

Abstract:
Teologia si trova da qualche tempo di fronte a una sfida legata alla questione dell'identita de l cristianesimo e della Chiesa nel contesto del postmodemismo, del pluralismo nonche della molteplicita delle religioni, il quale fatto richiede a livello teologico un'interpretazione adeguata della situazione.L' articolo pone al centro della riflessione la persona di Gesu Cristo in quanto inseparabilmente legata alla Chiesa. L'agire del Cristo al di fuori dei confini visibili della Chiesa ha anche il carattere ecclesiale, dato che il ruolo del Capo della Chiesa descrive la sua identita propria come lo indicano la Lettera agli Efesini e ai Colossesi. Pertanto il ruolo teologico della Chiesa non e stato mai visto, a partire dal testo del NT, in base ai dati statistici riguardanti la comunita ecclesiastica, non e stato mai dipendente dalle coordinate quantitative, ma scaturisce esclusivamente dal suo legame con Cristo-Capo, il che deve essere preso in considerazione a qualsiasi tentativo di reinterpretare lo status teologico della Chiesa e delle religioni non-cristiane.

Daiio studio emerge che questo vescovo di Roma era cosciente dell'incarico intrapreso, „per Dei gratiam", di avere cura per tutte ie Chiese. In modo particoiare e stata anaiizzata ia cosiddetta questione antiochena, ia causa dei vescovo Bonoso, dei vescovo Bagadio, nonche ii probiema dell'istituzione dei patriarcato occidentaie in Oriente (Iiiirico). In tutti questi casi Siricio si dimostra come responsabiie per ia pace ed unita deiia Chiesa, impegnandosi sia in persona che attraverso i suoi iegati.

Abstract:
“Le Persone disabili nell’economia della salvezza di Dio” è uno studio dedicato alla ricerca inerente il posto e il ruolo delle persone con varie disfunzioni nella e per la comunità ecclesiale. Il punto di riferimento risiede nei presupposti fondamentali dell’antropologia e della pedagogia cristiana. Nell’articolo è stato fatto il tentativo di approfondire teologicamente la risposta a tre domande: Chi è la persona disabile per la Chiesa? Che cosa la Chiesa può offrire a una tale persona? Che cosa la persona disabile può donare alla Chiesa? La ragione e il significato di questa riflessione fondata sulla Sacra Scrittura e sui risultati del pensiero critico e teologico derivano da una inclinazione sociale ancora attuale a trattare le persone malate come passive, quasi “inutili”. Proprio questo contesto stimola noi stessi e gli altri a ripensare, in prospettiva cristologica ed ecclesiologica, questo stato di cose. Anzi, la credibilità della Chiesa si fa più esplicita nella misura in cui essa si apre e tratta seriamente la questione della disabilità umana, dimostrando di vivere secondo lo spirito del Vangelo.

Si ripercorreranno le tappe fondamentali (in ambito tributario) che hanno portato all'introduzione dell'ICI (e poi dell'IMU), valutando se tali agevolazioni fiscali costituiscano per l'Europa dei veri e propri aiuti di Stato o meno.

Abstract:
La conquista dei territori dello Stato della Chiesa da parte del governo piemontese inasprì le tensioni con la Santa Sede. Il pontefice si dimostrò irremovibile nel respingere il nuovo stato di fatto e fu altrettanto inconciliabile sull’ipotesi di consegnare Roma allo Stato italiano, rinunciando così al potere temporale. Il timore di internazionalizzare una questione che il governo piemontese desiderava risolvere senza valersi del diritto internazionale, suggerì all’Italia un atteggiamento circospetto. Tuttavia, constatata l’ostinata intransigenza di Pio IX, contrario a qualsiasi accordo che prevedesse l’implicito riconoscimento del nuovo stato delle cose, l’Italia accelerò i tempi per risolvere il problema romano. Il governo italiano, esperito un ultimo infruttuoso tentativo diplomatico, ruppe gli indugi e conquistò Roma con la forza delle armi. Pio IX rifiutò sdegnato qualsiasi compromesso respingendo anche l’apparentemente favorevole legge delle guarentigie, rinchiudendosi nei palazzi apostolici e dichiarandosi prigioniero dell’Italia. Il contrasto, ben lungi dal limitarsi ai confini nazionali, ebbe non poche conseguenze a livello internazionale. Da parte dello Stato, il periodo legislativo favorevole alla Chiesa terminò molto presto. La legislazione ecclesiastica, al contrario, ricalcò quella degli Stati italiani preunitari, in virtù di una plurisecolare tradizione giurisdizionalista. Da parte della Chiesa, la strategia vaticana fu largamente incentrata sull’astensionismo. Nata in base a valutazioni di convenienza e opportunità politica, la strategia del non expedit non fu uniforme del corso dei decenni, trasformandosi e adattandosi di volta in volta a seconda delle circostanze. Questa condotta, però, provocò confusione nel mondo cattolico. Priva di una chiara e ben delineata linea politica, la strategia vaticana si risolse in un sostanziale fallimento. Al contempo, qualsiasi tentativo di partecipare alla vita diplomatica internazionale venne puntualmente contrastato dall’Italia, timorosa che un’opportunità del genere avrebbe offerto al Vaticano la possibilità di internazionalizzare la vicenda romana. Di conseguenza, i rapporti tra Stato e Chiesa non registrano alcun reale progresso fino allo scoppio della prima guerra mondiale. Nel pieno del conflitto bellico il nuovo pontefice si dimostrò propenso ad un importante cambio di strategia. Dopo aver tentato senza successo di rilanciare l’azione della Santa Sede proponendosi come mediatore tra i paesi in guerra, Benedetto XV autorizzò le gerarchie ecclesiastiche ad avviare contatti diretti con il governo italiano. Terminato il conflitto, una bozza di accordo presentata dal Vaticano e accettata dal governo italiano venne respinta dal re. Successivamente, i turbolenti anni che investirono la politica e la società italiana portarono ad uno stallo delle trattative. In ogni caso, la nuova linea tracciata dalla Santa Sede era ormai avviata. Accantonata la strategia dell’astensionismo, il nuovo corso portò alla creazione di un partito cattolico che alle tornate elettorali del 1919 raccolse un grande successo. Nel frattempo, l’ascesa del fascismo portò a profondi mutamenti nei rapporti tra Stato e Chiesa. Spinto da precisi calcoli politici, Mussolini si dimostrò disponibile ad accogliere molte delle richieste della Chiesa, se ciò avesse permesso di arrivare ad uno storico accordo che avrebbe chiuso il pluridecennale dissidio. Dopo diversi anni di negoziazioni, non prive di momenti di grande tensione, l’accordo venne raggiunto con la firma dei Patti del Laterano. La thèse porte sur deux objectives : 1) décrire le parcours politique et institutionnel qui a conduit dans le Royaume de Naples à la soustraction de la matière funéraire à l’exclusif contrôle ecclésiastique; 2) évaluer l’impact sociale de ce procès par l’examen des transformations dans l’organisation des services funèbres. La période sur laquelle a été conduite la recherche corresponde aux premières années de la domination autrichienne (1707) jusqu’aux années 1850, en correspondance de la consolidation de l’invention typologique du cimetière publique. Pour ce qui concerne les résultats obtenus, l’enquête montre soit la conformité du cas napolitain au modèle plus général de l’Europe continentale soit la consistance très importante du marché funéraire comme source des revenues pour les paroisses urbaines dans une mégalopole méditerranéenne d’ancien régime
The thesis aims to two objectives: 1) Illustrating the political and institutional process that leaded in the Kingdom of Naples to remove the exclusive ecclesiastical control of the funerals and burials system 2) Evaluating the social impact of this process through the analysis of transformations in the organization of funeral services. The investigated period correspond to the first years of the Austrian domination (1707) until the years 50s of 19th century, when the invention of the public cemetery typology was achieved. With regard to the results obtained, the research shows both the conformity of Neapolitan case to the European burial reform and the importance of the funeral market as source of revenues for the urban parishes in a Mediterranean megalopolis during the Ancien Régime

La tesi riguarda complessivamente il trattamento giuridico degli spazi dedicati al culto delle confessioni religiose, tutti meritevoli di essere favoriti come luoghi di libertà, nonostante il diritto civile si occupi solo di "edifici destinati all’esercizio pubblico del culto cattolico", e delle relative pertinenze. La parte iniziale, oltre a citare le innumerevoli definizioni di dottrina e di giurisprudenza per l’individuazione di tali spazi, ripercorre la genesi storica e normativa dell’istituto. Se per la Chiesa cattolica vi sono da sempre "edifici" ben identificati, per altri gruppi religiosi, considerata la variegata pratica cultuale espletata, risulta più appropriato riferirsi ad onnicomprensivi “luoghi per il culto”: il loro trattamento giuridico è divenuto sempre più egalitario rispetto agli “edifici” cattolici, soprattutto grazie ai molteplici interventi della Corte costituzionale, che ha giudicato incostituzionali le leggi regionali sul finanziamento dell’edilizia di culto, richiedenti un’”intesa” (art. 8 della Cost.) alle confessioni destinatarie del contributo. Vi è inoltre uno studio dei “luoghi sacri” per il diritto canonico, e della loro destinazione al culto, menzionata dall’art. 831 cod. civ., con riferimenti alla proprietà e alla loro natura giuridica. Va poi considerato il problema della pianificazione urbanistica, in quanto gli attuali piani di organizzazione del territorio, non si adeguano totalmente alle nuove esigenze religiose. L’ultima parte è dedicata alle “pertinenze” di culto, che sono legate funzionalmente all’edificio principale e soggette al medesimo regime normativo. Nelle conclusioni si evidenzia la necessità di una “Legge generale sulla libertà religiosa”, in quanto la disponibilità di edifici di culto, come un aspetto della libertà individuale di religione, nella sua dimensione collettiva di esercizio associato del culto, va garantita non da singole e sporadiche intese, bensì da una legge applicabile a tutte le confessioni.
The argument concerns the legal treatment of the space devoted to the worship of religious denominations, all deserve to be favored as places of freedom, despite the civil law only deal with to public buildings for Catholic worship, and related appliances. The initial part, in addition to citing the many definitions of doctrine and jurisprudence for the detection of these spaces, traces the genesis and history of the legislation. If the Catholic Church there have always been "Buildings" clearly marked, for other religious groups, given the varied practice of worship performed, it is more appropriate to refer to inclusive "places for worship": their legal treatment has become more and more egalitarian than the "buildings" Catholics, largely due to multiple interventions by the Constitutional Court, which has held unconstitutional laws on the financing of regional worship, applicants' "Intese" (Article 8 of the Constitution) the confessions of the target contribution. There is also a study of "sacred places" to the canon law, and their devotion to the destination mentioned by. 831 cod. civ., with references to the property and their legal nature. It should also be considered the problem of urban planning, as the current plans of organization of territory, not completely adapt to the new demands of religion. The last part is devoted to "appliances" of worship, which are functionally linked to the main building and subject to the same regulatory regime. The findings highlighted the need for a "General Law on Religious Freedom", as the availability of places of worship, as an aspect of individual freedom of religion, in its collective pursuit of the cult involved, it should be guaranteed not by individual and sporadic “Intese”, but by a law applicable to all denominations.

Lo studio condotto sulla delegazione di Clementi rappresenta anche l’occasione, attraverso il caso messicano, per riflettere e contribuire a fare maggiore chiarezza sui rapporti tra Stato e Chiesa e individuare le ragioni del perché l’equilibrio tra il trono e l’altare venne meno, aprendo così la strada all'avvento delle società secolarizzate in cui oggi viviamo. La delegazione apostolica rappresenta il punto di incontro, il perno che permette di osservare e di far luce sulle dinamiche, le posizioni e i punti di vista di quelli che furono i tre principali attori: la Santa Sede, il governo e il clero messicano. Attraverso lo studio condotto sulla missione di Clementi è possibile meglio comprendere come questi tre soggetti si relazionarono tra di loro e quali furono i problemi delle loro interazioni. Seguendo lo sviluppo e soprattutto i problemi incontrati dalla delegazione apostolica, ci si soffermerà sugli obiettivi della Santa Sede, sulle esigenze e gli interessi che mossero la politica dei governi messicani e su come si collocò, rispetto alla volontà della prima e dei secondi, il clero messicano.
The present research aims to reconstruct and explain the reasons that led to the first papal representation in Mexico, the difficulties encountered, the contributions of the apostolic delegation and its outcome, but not only. The study carried out on the Clementi delegation also represents the occasion, through the Mexican case, to reflect and contribute to clearly explain the relations between State and Church and to identify the reasons why the balance between the throne and the altar lessened, thus paving the way for the advent of the secularized societies in which we live today. The apostolic delegation represents the meeting point, the pivot that allows observing and shedding light on the dynamics, positions and points of view of those who were the three main actors: the Holy See, the Mexican government and the Mexican clergy. Through the study conducted on Clementi's mission it is possible to better understand how these three subjects relate to each other and what were the problems of their interactions. Following the development and above all the problems encountered by the apostolic delegation, we will focus on the objectives of the Holy See, on the needs and interests that moved the policy of the Mexican governments and on how, with respect to the will of the first and second, the Mexican clergy.

Questa tesi si occupa di analizzare il lavoro di Stanley Hauerwas, uno studioso di grande fama nel mondo accademico americano i cui testi sono molto letti in tutto il mondo. Tramite la lettura critica dell’intero corpus degli scritti di Hauerwas la tesi intende riflettere sul rapporto problematico tra Cristianesimo e liberalismo. A questo scopo, la tesi si concentra inizialmente sui presupposti filosofici che sono alla base delle argomentazioni di Hauerwas. In secondo luogo, riflette sulle idee ed istituzioni tipiche del liberalismo e sul loro rapporto con il Cristianesimo. Infine, descrive la proposta etica di Hauerwas e il modo con cui questa determina il tipo di politica che la chiesa e i cristiani dovrebbero avere. Seguendo l’ampiezza del lavoro di Hauerwas, la tesi si interessa di un gran numero di filosofi, teorici della politica e teologi, spaziando dagli scritti di Aristotele e Tommaso d’Aquino, alla filosofia del linguaggio di McCabe, Murdoch, e Wittgenstein, dalle riflessioni etiche di Kovesi, Anscombe, e MacIntyre, alle teorie politiche di Rawls, Stout e Coles. The dissertation provides an in-depth analysis of the scholarship of Stanley Hauerwas, a very prominent figure in the American academy whose body of work is widely read in many countries. By providing a close reading of Hauerwas’ entire corpus, the dissertation aims at discussing the contested relationship between Christianity and liberalism. It does so first, by focusing on the philosophical presuppositions that shape Hauerwas’ overall argument. Second, it reflects on the main liberal commitments and institutions and their relationship with Christianity. Third, it describes Hauerwas’ ethical proposal and its bearings on the political commitments that the church and Christians ought to have. Following the breadth of Hauerwas’ work, the dissertation deals with a great number of philosophers, political theorists, and theologians, spanning from the writings of Aristotle and Aquinas, to the philosophy of language of McCabe, Murdoch, and Wittgenstein, to the ethical reflections of Kovesi, Anscombe and MacIntyre, and to the political theory of Rawls, Stout, and Coles. Through his stress on the role of virtues and moral formation, and by emphasizing the importance that the church’s tradition, language, and practices have in shaping the imagination and lives of Christians, Hauerwas gives a constructive and fruitful description of what a genuine Christian politics looks like and helps us navigate the complex world of today.

Abstract:
Genocide or, to say the least, ethnic cleansing towards Muslims in Rakhine State, Myanmar, conducted by fanatic Buddhist monks and the military has been on the agenda in recent months. This opening speech aims at finding out real causes of this inhumane incident and investigating whether or not it is solely a result of some kind interreligious conflict in Myanmar. My research has convinced me that Rakhine inter-ethnic question has international economic and security related roots that deserve close and detailed investigation. In my point of view, the Rakhine Question depends heavily on economic security considerations such as: a) security of natural gas and petrol reservoirs in Rakhine State and pipelines connecting Rakhine State to China, b) security of railway link connecting Kyaukpyu Deep Water Sea Port in Kyaukpyu Special Economic Zone in Rakhine State to China which has developed by China to bypass Malacca Strait. The potential that Muslim dominated Rakhine State may cause security threats to some of the foreign Chinese investments in Myanmar in medium term should be taken as a main cause that gives way to ethnic cleansing against Muslim Rakhine population.

The article aims to discuss the main features of teaching reading in the lessons of RFL (Russian as a foreign language) in the Chinese audience. Foreign language reading is significant speech activity because it is the basis of developing other speech activities. The article analyses the phonetical and methodological barriers, which may meet Chinese students while improving their reading skills, and provide some methods of removing the difficulties in reading. When teaching Russian to Chinese students, especially outside the linguistic environment, teachers do not pay due attention to practicing various types of reading, and, consequently, automating verbal forecasting. In the methodological literature, to overcome oral speech problems, the need to focus on spontaneous oral speech is noted, directly related to reading as a resource for expanding vocabulary and grammatical structures. Using system analysis, comparison, typology, theoretical and methodological forecasting, the work compares the most popular types of reading in China and Russia when teaching international students, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of using these types of reading. Based on Chinese students’ most frequent difficulties, a developed balanced type text is proposed that considers the most problematic phonetic cases. Also, a system of various exercises is proposed, aimed at developing the skills of oral speech. The exercises and use of phonetically balanced texts might contribute to the further enrichment of RFL methodology. Abstract:
Since the industrial revolution of the 18th century, the modern economic system gradually matured and rapidly expanded in the world, especially the state capital investment relying on the railway, which drastically changed the urbanization process and city agglomeration pattern around the world. At the end of the 19th century, due to the important strategic value of the Far East, Russia raised state capital, built the Siberian Railway directly to Vladivostok, especially the C.E.R. across Northeast China, induced capital competition among China, Japan and Russia around the port and railway construction right and management right, formed the SMR system centered on Dalian, the C.E.R. system centered on Vladivostok, and the Chinese railway system centered on Huludao, laid the city structure of the “hub-railway network-hinterland” model centered on the port city in Northeast China, which promoted the development of commercial cities, hub cities and industrial and mining cities. Under the special tariff system, China, Japan and Russia relied on port-railway capital competition, forming the city development dynamic mechanism oriented by the export-oriented economy, that has the important theory value for how to effectively use the state capital advantage to promote the development of the macro-regional city system in the context of economic globalization.

Abstract:
Computational heat transfer became one of the major tools for engineering system design in 1970’s. It has been introduced into Chinese society since 1980’s, especially after Brian Spalding’s first lecture in 1984 in China. As one of Brian’s a few early visiting scholars from China, Professor W. C. Fan has begun his endeavor to expand computational heat transfer to fire research. This paper will first briefly introduce the history of the development of computational modeling with particular applications in fire research — a state funded large project, and then present some representative research work in fire research including recent works on high altitude fire and performance based design.

Abstract:
Confucius was born over 2,500 years ago and Confucius died at the age of 72 in 479 BCE (Rainey 2010: 21). Though he is called Confucius throughout most of the world, that name is actually the Latinized form of his Chinese name, Kong Fuzi, or Master Kung (Dorothy & Hoobler 2009: 10).Confucianism became the ascendant philosophical system of China for more than 2,000 years. It is a system of thought based on the teachings of Confucius, who lived from 551 to 479 BCE (Dorothy & Hoobler 2009: 10). It has been imbued in every aspect of Chinese life which steeps through its history, state affairs and social life. Most importantly, its ethics aided immensely to shape society and remarkably impacted on daily lives. Consequently, still on any given day one can see hundreds and hundreds of people, most in family groups or tour groups visit Confucius’ birthplace in the Chinese city of Qufu which is considered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Confucianism elements also can be seen in Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese cultures due to the expansion of Chinese civilization. Thus, the majority of the three million tourists who visit Confucius’ birthplace within a year are from China, Korea or Japan. Even though in the past decades East Asia has had a blistering phase of modernization, one can still see that Chinese, Korean, or Japanese remnants contending with the ancient morals of Confucius. “Confucius, then, ranks with Abraham, Jesus, Muhammad, and Siddhartha Gautama (better known as the Buddha), and Aristotle and Plato, as one of the founders of modern civilization” (Schuman 2015: 14).

Abstract:
In this article, the author considers various aspects of teaching Chinese in Russia, and also specifies some factors that affect the successful mastery of the Chinese language, in particular, learning in a natural language environment as a part of student exchange programs, during which students study language material in class with native speaker and have the opportunity of extensive language practice outside the school. In addition, the author notes the importance of the sociocultural component in learning - familiarity with the traditions and holidays of China, thereby increasing students' interest in the culture of the country of the language being studied. The article also notes the difficulties that both students and the teacher encounter in the classroom at North-Eastern State University, caused by the fact that in the same group are both students who have undergone language training in China and those who have not yet had a chance to study there. This is manifested in different levels of language proficiency by students, primarily in the level of their oral speech skills. This situation affects the group's learning speed and requires the teacher, in turn, to have a differentiated approach to conducting classes. The author suggests maximizing the practice of students using the Chinese language - conducting classes in the language they are studying, stimulating them to communicate only in Chinese within the class, and also, if possible, beyond. The basis of this practice is proposed to put thematic-situational training, for example, within the framework of the topic “Shopping”, interactively consider situations “in a clothing store”, “in a mobile phone store”, etc. At the same time, the author notes that the same situations proposed in the educational literature are perceived differently by native speakers and students, since they are filled with realities characteristic of China and different from the usual realities of Russia. To familiarize students with similar sociocultural content, it is proposed to use multimedia teaching aids - video and graphic presentations.

Review question / Objective: Patients who meet the clinical diagnostic criteria of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (DSM-IV/DSM-V) are included, regardless of race, sex, age, etc. Deep brain electrical stimulation for the treatment of Tourette's syndrome, with no limit on the specific procedure and duration of stimulation. Randomized controlled trials were selected, the language was limited to Chinese and English, and there were no restrictions on race, age, sex and so on. The main outcome indicators were the Yale Global tic severity scale score. Other outcome indicators included the Modified Rush Video Rating Scale score, Beck's Depression Inventory score, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory score, Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome-Quality of Life Scale score and Yale Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale score. Abstract:
While China has been increasingly contributing to the recent growth in electricity generation in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), the effects of China-funded investment on host countries’ debt burden and transition to renewable energy sources have not been sufficiently explored. Drawing on secondary data, combined with deep dive studies of Ethiopia and Uganda, this paper shows that despite significant liberalisation of the power sector in SSA, Chinese investments in the electricity industry continue to follow state-led project contract-based models. We show that this approach has failed to encourage Chinese firms to build compelling investment portfolios for competitive procurements within the region and, instead and inadvertently, it has exacerbated the debt burden of host country governments. Second, in spite of the global drive towards climate resilient energy generation, Chinese funding of electricity generation in SSA is not sufficiently channelled towards modern renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power that could reduce vulnerability to climate change. While recognising that the private sector-led competitive model of power generation is not without limitations, we argue that SSA’s electricity generation strategy that leads to less public debt and more climate resilience involves increased involvement of Chinese investment in the competitive model, with more diversification of such investment portfolios towards modern renewables such as wind and solar energy resources.
