Abstract:
Příspěvek pojednává o metodice a výsledcích statistické analýzy dat pořízených při léčbě pacientů s psoriázou na Der-matovenerologické klinice nemocnice Na Bulovce v letech 2015-17. Poměrně velký rozsah datového souboru (čítající K=485 standardních klinických markerů pro N=289 pacientů) vyžaduje aplikovat statistické postupy jako by šlo o hromadné zpracování dat. V příspěvku bude představena logistika tohoto zpracování vycházející z metodik etablovaných v minulosti na oddělení Biostat při 1. LF UK Praha s ukázkou hlavních výsled-ků. Při zpracování takto poměrně rozsáhlého klinického sou-boru dat můžeme používat zavedené statistické metodologie (One-Way resp. Two-Way ANOVA pro opakovaná měření nebo χ2-testy nezávislosti v kontingenčních tabulkách), které však musíme redukovat na několik málo nejefektivnějších třídění. Na jejich základě pak analyzujeme výstupní sestavy statisticky významných p-hodnot pro řadu simultánních a odvozených marginálních testů.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with processing of real data regarding waste collection. It describes select parts of the fields of statistical tests, identification of outliers, correlation analysis and linear regression. This theoretical basis is applied through the programming language Python to process the data into a form suitable for creating linear models. Final models explain between 70 \% and 85 \% variability. Finally, the information obtained through this analysis is used to specify recommendations for the waste management company.

Abstract:
Quality, as well as stability of processes check is nowadays gaining on its significance. The main driving force of its increasing importance is the rapid expansion of series production. Large-scale manufacturing processes are concerned, in terms of the number of operators, direct and indirect influence on rejects, but also on process stability. There are several quality characteristics, defined by utility properties, that can be easily measurable (linear dimensions, solidity, elongation, humidity, concentration) or directly immeasurable, mostly subjective (fragrance, taste, color, comfort while using, appearance). Statistical Process Control-SPC features the preventive tool of quality control, because based on the early detection of significant divergences of the process from the predetermined level, it is possible to execute interventions in the process with the aim of maintaining the acceptable and stable level and improving the process. This manufacturing process check will be the topic of my thesis. At first, Shewhart's control charts analysis will be done to determine strong process instability. Consequently, analysis will be carried out in test chi-square, used to determine the influence of each factor on the process of stability (operators, type of shift, type of product, type of defect on the product). All the practical part will be processed in statistical software MINITAB15. The thesis will be complemented by the findings from the examination of the features of interval estimates of parameter p for binomial distribution - numeric stability in the various statistical software (specifically Minitab 15, Statistica, Matlab 7.8.0). Master's thesis was supported by project from MSMT of the Czech Republic no. 1M06047 Center for Quality and Reliability of Production.

Tématem této diplomové práce je statistická regulace výrobního procesu. Cílem bylo analyzovat data z reálného technologického procesu revolverového vstřikovacího lisu. Analýza byla provedena za užití statistického testování hypotéz, analýzy rozptylu, obecného lineárního modelu a analýzy způsobilosti procesu. Analýza dat byla provedena ve statistickém softwaru Minitab 16.

Abstract:
The subject of this master’s thesis is to analyze and evaluate the economic indicators of selected company and comparison of these indicators with the nearest competitors. The thesis is divided into three main sections. First part is theoretical and contains information about used economical and statistical terms. Second part contains of analysis of economic indicators, comparison of actual and predicted values and comparison with the nearest competitors. In order to predict future values of indicators, on selected indicators appropriate regression function has been applied. The last part of thesis contains of program created by using VBA in MS Excel, which is designed to calculate the economic indicators, and the part containing proposals for improving the situation of company.

Abstract:
Gamma-ray bursts are still not fully understood events. However, their exploration could pro- vide a useful tool for a better understanding of the early Universe because they belong to the most distant and violent objects that astronomers know. This thesis tries to bring more information about a so-called group of intermediate-duration bursts claimed by different authors employing dif- ferent data samples. Firstly, duration and spectral hardness properties of bursts from the Reuven Ramaty High-Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager are statistically analysed. The obtained results bring a suspicion that these intermediate bursts gather into a separate group. Secondly, these bursts are investigated in more detail with respect to their spectral lags, peak count rates, red- shifts, supernova observations, and so forth. Thirdly, long-duration bursts with known redshifts and with derived pseudo-redshifts detected by The Burst and Transient Source Experiment, Swift and Fermi bursts with known redshifts, are used to study the cosmological effects on the observed flux and fluence distributions.

Abstract:
In this thesis the Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) are studied, the brightest explosions in the universe. GRBs have been observed since year 1967, but there are several unsolved problems. In the first chapter there is an introduction to the issue of GRBs, and the history of observations are briefly described. The Fermi satellite, the latest satellite devoted to gamma-ray burst observations is described in chapter two. Characteristics of the Fermi instruments are also described. The observed data of GRBs are characterized in the third chapter. The distribution of GRB durations, distances, and spectral hardnesses are described. The characteristics of long and short GRBs (distance, isotropy of distribution, metalicity dependence, isotropic energy) are described. A chance of the appearance of a GRB in the Milky Way is discussed. New Fermi observations are described too. Fourth chapter is about models of GRBs. The fireball and canonball models are described. Fifth chapter is focused on the exposure function of CGRO-BATSE, Fermi-GBM, Swift. I have created the exposure function for GBM on Fermi satellite. It is quite difficult, and I have assumed some simplified hypotheses. Information of the satellite's position, position of detectors on the Fermi satellite, have been found on the Fermi web pages and in the article...

Abstract:
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are one of the phenomena that still puzzle the astrophysi- cists. Due to their extreme luminosities, they are visible in cosmological distances. They could provide a tool for understanding the early Universe. This thesis focuses on the estimation of the total energy released by the GRBs, their luminosities and how these quantities depend on the redshift. For a sample of 28 long GRBs with known redshifts, a dependence of their total energies and luminosities on the redshift is found. The thesis further studied if this dependence is either an observational bias or a real astrophysical phenomenon. Firstly, proper use of k-correction revealed that it has lit- tle effect on the redshift dependence of these quantities. Secondly, a new approach has been proposed to investigate the redshift dependence of the luminosity function. Thirdly, selection effect has been found, when investigating the sample of bursts with known redshifts, implying a caution when combining data from different sources. All these efforts show that the observational bias can still explain the redshift dependence.
