Abstract:
The article addresses European social protection standards from the perspective of the existence of several models of national social protection systems throughout the European Union and the need to develop general principles for all European countries in order to ensure the well-being of citizens. Thus, on the basis of the development of those standards, the balance between the interests of society in general and the rights of the individual were respected, taking into account economic development and levels of social protection. As a result, the European social model has been created which provides a high level of social protection and covers activities vital to social cohesion, being structured by a series of legal rules.

Abstract:
Efficient individual protection of the employees from air pollution requires high quality respirators, their correct selection and use. International Organization for Standardization (ISO) prepared standards that can become the basis for the development of similar standards in Russia. However, direct copying of the texts from ISO documents to GOST can reduce the efficiency of the employee protection. When using personal respiratory protection equipment, exhaled air with a high content of carbon dioxide fills the mask and is then inhaled again. ISO standard, which substantiates the requirements for the permissible concentration of CO2 in the inhaled air, ignores the available information on CO2 toxicity and Russian hygiene standards. This may lead to the certification and issuance of personal respiratory protective equipment to the employees, in the use of which the concentration of carbon dioxide on inhalation will exceed the maximum allowable concentration. In order for the efficiency of the personal respiratory protection equipment to correspond to the degree of air pollution, the protection coefficient was applied and measured. Significant differences between the efficiency of personal respiratory protection equipment in real and laboratory conditions are considered. The proposed ISO method for determining efficiency may lead to the use of respiratory protective equipment that is known to be ineffective. Using personal respiratory protection equipment it is required to change gas mask filters in a timely manner. When assessing their condition, ISO standard forbids relying on the subjective reaction of the employee feelings. At the same time, a more reliable method is ignored - introduction of special sensors. Recommendations are given to avoid all of these shortcomings.

Abstract:
The article examines the specificities of personal data protection at the international level, clarifying the meaning of concepts such as “personal information”, “personal data”, “person” and “identity”. The analysis and synthesis of existing norms of international standards have been carried out, allowing to identify the range of issues requiring elimination of contradictions at the legislative level, in order to increase the efficiency of their application, given the rapid processes of globalisation, development of high technologies and as a consequence – appearance of a new international terrorism form – cyber terrorism, the society requires new approaches and definition of new standards for modern personal data system, resolution of contradictions arising in modern law, legal control over the development of electronic environment and computer systems. To address these issues, the dynamics and specifics of legal regulation in this area have been studied. A significant number of monographs and periodicals are devoted to the issue personal data protection. Among them, we can highlight the scientific achieve-ments of M. Bem. K. Bennett, V. Bryzhko, S. Vorren, T. Kostetska, T. Obukhovska, A. Paziuk, K. Polinkevych, I. Sopilko, M. Shvets. Given a large number of statutory regulations and their differences in defining conceptual and categorical apparatus, mechanisms of application of personal information protection standards, a large range of issues in this area of relations are unresolved today, in connection with which their consideration and systematization are relevant. Definition of the content and scope of essential features of the "personality", "natural person" and "personal data" terms. The statutory regulations of the European legal system regulating issues related to the protection of personal data are investigated and the most important provisions are highlighted. New European standards in accordance with Regulation 2016/679 are identified. It should be noted that international documents in the field of personal data protection have a similar purpose, but at the same time, they do not have a single definition of basic concepts, such as natural person, information, information about a natural person, identified natural person, personal data processing, etc. that complicates their effective understanding and application by all participants of these relations. It is worth noting that the adoption of Regulation 2016/67 was a breakthrough in the simplification of the legal regulation. After all, the framework Directive 95/46/EC, which was in force before its adoption, was interpreted differently by each country, which caused many misunderstandings and created obstacles to ensure the human right to privacy. That is why the issue of unification of legal regulation in this area is always relevant and requires continuous improvement and timely response to changes in the information technology space.

Abstract:
: At present, the coppice-with-standards system has become so rare in floodplain forests that it is considered a natural monument. In 1990, the coppice-with-standards system was not recorded in the territory of the Czech Republic. This state contradicts the increasing interest of nature protection organizations in the relict remainders of the coppice-with-standards system, which is to be considered the closest to naturally preserved lowland forest type, and is, therefore, recommended as the final state of the biocentres and biocorridors in today’s floodplain forests. The aim of this paper is to present the results of the inventory dealing with the present occurrence of the coppice-with-standards system in the floodplain forest of the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area (PLA) in a historical context.

Abstract:
Fire protection and design of fire protection systems present very important engineering tasks in protection of human lives, animals and material properties. Because of its great significance, everything in fire protection and fire protection systems design must be defined by appropriate standards. There are several different standards in use in different countries around the world. Very often, in solvation of different fire protection tasks, there are many questions asked which standard should be used. There are many similarities between standards, but there are also many differences between standards. Also, some standards don't define at all some cases that can be found in fire protection. This paper was written to present solutions for some particular tasks by some valid standards (EN 54, BS, NPB 88-2001, VDE 088-2 and NFPA 72) in fire protection and differences between them in the same cases.

Abstract:
On October 23, 2019, the European Union adopted the Directive on protecting whistleblowers. The Directive was intended to be a groundbreaking tool in protecting whistleblowers. The Directive introduces essential and correct standards to protect the interests of the European Union and whistleblowers who report breaches of EU law. The whistleblower protection model is designed to go beyond any standards of whistleblower protections in the Member States. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of the Directive is difficult to assess without complete transposition in the Member States. The process did not end with the saying as of December 17, 2021 in Poland, which is only at the draft bill stage. The author notes that the Directive does not provide a comprehensive model for reporting irregularities, which results in an incomplete conceptualization of this institution.

Abstract:
Abstract The Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) in its Part III which regulates standards of protection guaranteed to foreign investors by the ECT States members, together with the Article 24 of the ECT, constitutes a kind of autonomous investment treatment within the ECT. The ECT provides for a very broad spectrum of standards of protection: fair and equitable treatment; most constant protection and security; prohibition of unreasonable or discriminatory measures; „umbrella clause”; national treatment; most favoured-nation standard and effective means to assert the claims. It can be said that at the time of its drafting the ECT enclosed all standards of protection as recognized in BITs and NAFTA. There have been more than 100 publicly known investment arbitration cases where the ECT was invoked, more than 30 of which concluded by arbitral awards. This comprehensive arbitral practice strongly influences the practice applying other IIAs and vice versa.

Child abuse is protected by international law and acts and includes all types of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Child abuse is a global problem with serious consequences throughout life, it is also a global problem with serious consequences for children and their families. In order to prevent this phenomenon, the awareness and consciousness of everyone (society, state) must be increased. Work on joint projects should include the UN, WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, the EU and the CoE. Knowledge, legislation and ideas in protecting children's health belong to health and safety experts. The case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union obliges states to include in their legislation the protection of children from all forms of ill-treatment.

Abstract:
Abstract Technological development put international organisations to effort in order to issue and continuously reassess standards concerning electromagnetic radiation protection issues. Protection standards have to be continuously reviewed as new data become available. This article provides a brief overview of updates implemented by the latest available protection standards. Currently, standards do not incorporate appropriate safety factors for protection against long-term effects of exposure to electromagnetic fields, thus protection is provided only for the established short term effects of electromagnetic fields on the human body. However, there is still a great deal of questions related to differences in limitations set by international organisations that have issued recommendations for personnel protection against electromagnetic fields.
