Abstract:
Abstract The topic “Dynamic analysis of multistoried irregular building using Staad pro”is a topic of major concern as with industrialization and development most of the population opt for urban areas. The structural stability of a building has to be compromised in order to attain lateral loads due to earthquake and wind in concurrence to gravity loads. Hence, it is quite evident for a structure to have sufficient strength and enough stiffness to resist loads. Design and analysis nowadays are convenient as well as affordable just because of the availability of computers and specialized programs. The multistoried building is designed using software Staad pro v8i. The paper deals with analysing three different models of irregular multi story building (G+10) with a height of each floor as 3m having response factor as 5, importance factor as 1.2, soil type as medium soil, structure type 1 with a damping ration of 5% is taken into consideration. The loads being used in the analysis are Dead load which is considered as per IS 875 part 1, live load as per IS 875 part 2 and seismic load as per IS 1893 part 1. The beams, columns and slabs are celibately designed in software. Results of three models are then compared as per storey drift, displacement and base shear.

Abstract: Designing with economy, grace, and sturdiness is the art and science of structural planning and analysis. To compete in the highly competitive market, structural designing necessitates a thorough structural analysis on which the planning is predicated. The use of software can reduce the number of man hours and efforts required for structural analysis, and an effort was made in the current study to accomplish this goal. This study's objective is to assess and design a solid-deck slab bridge using STAAD-Pro and a manual process under various loading circumstances. Additionally, STAAD-Pro, which runs through numerous load combinations, was used to check the analysis results in terms of shear, bending moment, axial force, and deflection. Abstract:
Abstract: Now a days construction of the RC frame is common because of the simplicity in construction. The masonry walls are mainly used for partition and insulation purposes rather than for structural purposes. However, during the earthquake, this filling contributes to the response of the structure and the behavior of the filling frame is different from that expected for the structure of the bare frame. The fill acts as a compression strut between column and beam. For this purpose, linear dynamic analysis were carried out on the structure of the RC masonry frame to study the influence of the resistance variation of the structure with n without a infill wall, filling effect on dynamic parameters such as the natural period, displacement and state of the hinge. In this rear-end collision effect high building is studied. All analysis are performed by the STAAD PRO v8i software. building modeling and analysis are performed on STAAD PRO v8i. For the analysis the building with G + 10 RCC frame is modeled. In this analysis the width of the strut is calculated manually according to the expression given in the FEMA-356. The infill panels are modeled as equivalent single diagonal struts. Several equations for calculation are considered for these diagonals. In this study the comparison of time verses acceleration , time verses velocity , time verses displacement with respect to the floor is made . The study shows that the influence of filling on the structure is significant. It increases the rigidity of the structure and makes the structure able to withstand a seismic region with respect to the bare frame. Abstract:
: In the literature, provisions for analysis and design of steel-RCC composite deck type truss and cable-stayed bridges do not exist. A composite deck type truss bridge model is analyzed using STAAD Pro V8i software and a model with the same dimensions is tested in the laboratory. The experimental test results are used to validate the STAAD analysis results. Bottom chord strain and mid-span deflection of the composite bridge model as found from the STAAD analysis and the laboratory experiment closely tally with each other. This validates the standard STAAD analysis results. However, in the top chord member, due to shrinkage cracks in the deck slab concrete, the experimentally recorded strain is higher by about 100% than the STAAD analysis result. Shear force in studs is considerably large near supports and joints as compared to the midsection. Therefore, the design of shear studs may be carried out based on the shear forces in the studs found from the STAAD analysis. Thus it is recommended that STAAD or any other standard finite element analysis software can be used for analysis and design of the composite bridges.

Abstract:
Abstract The aim of this paper is to analysis of a multi-stored building [G+5] using STAAD Pro by considering different seismic zones. The analysis of a multi-stored building [G+5] initially for all type of loads (Seismic load, Dead load, Live load and Wind load) and possible load combinations are performed as per Indian codes. The seismic analysis is done under different zones which are Zone-II, Zone-III, Zone-IV, Zone-V and also zone factor values are considered as per IS 1893-2002 (Part-1). By considering each zone factor value and loads including self-weight, member weight, floor weight in seismic load, dead load, live load and wind loads the structure may affect. Also observing the Shear force, bending moment and deflection values for the whole building in different Seismic zones by using STAAD Pro. In analysing the whole structure considering all parameters like all loads (live load, dead load, seismic loads wind load) and type of structure, damping ratio, importance factor, response reduction factor, zone factor/different cities under different zones plays major role in building how it reacts to it and by shear force, bending moment, deflection values states that it is safe in particular zones or all the factors must be taken in consideration to imply the building is safe or not.

Abstract:
Abstract: Cooling tower is a device which converts hot water into cold water due to direct air contact. It works on the temperature difference between the air inside the tower and outside the tower. Natural draft cooling tower is one of most widely used cooling tower. Hyperbolic shape of cooling tower is usually preferred because of its strength and stability and large available area at the base due to shape. As it is very important structure in nuclear and chemical plants, it should be continuously assessed for its stability under selfweight, and lateral loads like wind load and earthquake load. Therefore, cooling towers have been analyses for wind load by assuming fixity at the shell base. The wind loads on these cooling towers have been calculated in the form of pressures by using the circumferentially distributed design wind pressure coefficients as given in IS: 11504 -1985 code along with the design wind pressures at different levels as per IS:875 (Part 3) - 1987 code. These towers with very small shell thickness are exceptional structures by their sheer size and sensitivity to horizontal loads. The present study deals with the analysis of cooling tower maximum displacement, support reactions, support moments, stresses and bending moments in plates due to seismic loading, wind loading and dead load i.e., its self-weight on a hyperbolic cooling tower is continuous function of geometry. Abstract:
Abstract: Cable-stayed bridges were originally developed in the late 16th century but became less popular towards the end of the 20th century when suspension and reinforced concrete designs became more commonly used. However, advancements in material and methods have made them popular again in 21st century, particularly for longer -span crossings. They are suitable for spans longer than cantilever bridges but shorter than suspension bridges, and their main feature is the direct connection of cable from the tower to the deck. Cable-stayed bridges have undergone significant technical advancements and now have impressive aesthetic appearances, thanks to improvements in material, engineering analysis and design, and construction methodology. This thesis focuses on the design and analysis of four different pylon -shaped cable- stayed bridges with semi-fan cable arrangements using STAAD.Pro V8i software for designing and MS excel for comparative analysis. The primary aim of the thesis is to provide a detailed description of the structural behaviour of these bridges and present a comparative analysis.

Abstract: During the past few years the earthquakes have dealt a lot of damage to life and property in India. To overcome this, the need for advancement in construction is necessary. With Scarcity of area and overgrowing population the need of constructing High Rise building has been increasing. Traditional high rise structures are tend to be weak against additional load pressure or earthquakes. To counter such situations and to reduce the effect of such calamity with the help of structural analysis and use of methods like Base Isolation, X bracing and Shear Wall, the intensity of such problem can be reduced to a wide extent. This paper represents the comparison of various methods on normal high rise building with the use of Midas Gen ,ETABS and STAAD pro..We took the case for Seismic zone 2 with medium soil category. Abstract:
Abstract: Creating a world class infrastructure that stands aesthetic and performs well structurally is not that easy. As an engineer one must have to keep in mind the applications and structural needs of a building. Talking of structures, RCC structures are quite common to work out with and on the other hand steel structures gives good weight per unit length. Steel structures are also easy to construct and helps in reducing project time. In this paper we have discussed about how structurally a model behaves in regards to its comparison among two computer simulating software viz., etabs and staad pro. Staad pro is there for long in the field of simulation and etabs is easy to workout with the interactive design and functions. We have compared here mainly three types of structures made entirely of steel sections. A Howe roof truss, a Howe bridge truss and a transmission tower. All of them were modeled in both etabs and staad pro and the results were matched. Both the software showed quite same base reaction, bending moment and shear forces. But Etabs shows slightly less bending moment, shear forces & Base reaction with more precision in the respective members as compared to StaadPro. And on the other hand etabs also shows which members is stressed or utilized fully upto its strength, by which one can use an optimized way of designing a structures.

Abstract: In comparison to many other emerging nations, India uses a fairly little amount of steel in the construction industry. Other nations' experiences suggest that this isn't because steel isn't economically viable as a building material. Maximum Axial Forces On Column Base Of The Structure Column RCC Structure (kN),steel Structure (kN) ,Difference in Foundation Size and Reinforcement Requirements Property RCC Structure, Steel Structure Size:- are found by staad pro software. .With the existing development requirements in India, there is a tremendous opportunity for raising the volume of steel in teaching. A significant loss for the nation results from not utilising steel where it is cost-effective as an alternative construction material. Also, it is clear that modern composite sections made of steel and concrete are a time, money, and cost-effective alternative for important civil structures like bridges and tall skyscrapers.

Abstract: In steel structure design the Pre-engineering building (PEB) system is a modern technology that provides economical, eco-friendly, and sustainable structures. The pre-Engineered Building (PEB) concept is a new conception of single-story industrial building construction. This methodology is versatile not only due to its quality pre-designing and prefabrication but also due to its lightweight and economical construction. This concept has many advantages over the Conventional Steel Building (CSB) concept of buildings with roof trusses. This paper mainly focuses on the PEB concept and CSB concept. The study is achieved by designing a Warehouse building as PEB and as CSB with the help of Staad Pro. The CSB is designed and analyzed by IS 800:2007 (LSM) and PEB is designed and analyzed by AISC 360:10. Abstract Nowadays, multi-storey structure portal frames are most commonly used worldwide. Multistory frames are used in structural systems in all metropolitan cities, future cities, and important businesses. The present study the effect of various point loads varying from 22 to 32 kN in steps of 2 were applied on the center of horizontal beams of the frame structure. The deflection behaviour in form of deflection, reaction, beading moments under point loading were discussed analytically according to stiffness matrix method and the results are validated with the help of simulation using STAAD Pro software. Results revealed that the analytical method using manual calculations in excel sheet provides approximately similar results as obtained by the costly simulation technique using STAAD Pro software. Therefore, the implementation of this excel sheet can be recommended for standard analysis of portal frame structures based on the outcomes of this study.
