Abstract:
Abstract. In Physical education classes, teachers’ autonomy support is evident when professors provide students diverse choices during class activities, as well as some tasks to be solved by their own, in counterpart, eliminating or reducing control and pressure environments. One of the most used instruments to measure autonomy´s support in learning environments is the well known “Learning Climate Questionnaire”, however the absence of instruments adapted to physical education and validated in the Mexican context, limit the development of studies in this area. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to adapt and validate the “Learning Climate Questionnaire” to physical education context in junior high school students. A total of 859 students were selected (Boys: n =438; Girls: n=421), with a range age of 11 to 15 years; from the three scholar grades for this education level. Results from the exploratory and confirmatory analysis revealed only one factor structure (autonomy support) with satisfactory fit indexes and internal consistency. Now, we have a reliable and valid instrument that can be used to increase the knowledge generation and scientific production for this field in México.

Abstract:
In this article, a study focusing on the perceptions and motivations of middle school students in physical education classes is described. The Physical Education Learning Environment Scale (PELES) was developed to measure student perceptions of learning environment, or class climate, in physical education on dimensions of perceived challenge, perceived threat to sense of self, perceived competitiveness, and perceived control. The PELES was administered, together with the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI) to a sample (N = 622) of middle school students. Exploratory factor analyses provided evidence of adequate construct validity for the PELES, following elimination of the perceived control subscale. Multiple regression analyses indicated that perceived threat and perceived challenge predicted intrinsic motivation for both males and females. These findings are discussed in terms of their implications for practicing teachers and for future research.

Abstract:
The position of universities is of great importance in climate change education (CCE) if the scientific, environmental, social, and political challenges the world confronts are to be met. It is, therefore, crucial to comprehend the CCE being engaged in globally by higher education institutions (HEIs). It is also important to discover and analyze the ways that HEIs can better address this challenge. Consistent with the requirements of research, this study offers an analysis of climate change awareness-raising of preservice teachers (PSTs) in a university science classroom with a flipped class intervention. A total of 109 students participated in this research: 55 students in the control group (Group 1) and 54 students in the experimental group (Group 2). A questionnaire was used to detect any significant difference in the students’ awareness of climate change for the two groups and before and after course completion. The analyzed results exposed the improved awareness of climate change in PSTs after a flipped class intervention, and, therefore, PSTs were more willing to engage in climate change teaching. Hence, the results of this study will contribute significantly to reducing existing drawbacks, which will be vital to comprehend the professional teaching developments of preservice teachers. Thus, this research can offer various instances of clarifying how climate change education may be placed in a higher science education context with certain adaptations.

Abstract:
As the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic expanded worldwide, most Japanese universities launched online learning as an emergent measure; hence, securing the quality of online learning remains a challenge. This study aimed to understand reasons behind students’ preferred mode of online learning during the pandemic and to explore the impact of online cooperative learning on students’ class participation by analyzing their voluntary comments. A qualitative content analysis identified three factors that are related to students’ decisions and motivation about participating in synchronous online classes: mutuality resulting from interaction, the impact of COVID-19 on their life and learning, and individual circumstances. This small-scale study was conducted under the unusual circumstance of the pandemic, and the quality of student interaction was excluded from the analysis. However, their enjoyment arising from interaction encouraged their participation in a synchronous class and discussion. They expressed themselves and listened to others attentively, creating a favorable climate for learning. Students’ positive interdependence observed in this study suggests that cooperative learning cultivates a classroom culture where students are willing to contribute without the fear of losing face. This study indicated that participation, cooperation, and active engagement create a positive feedback loop, promoting each aspect even in an online setting.

Abstract:
The main aim of the present study was to examine whether perceived autonomy during physical education (PE) classes, the perceived motivation, and students' intentions for physical activity outside of school differ based on their educational level and gender. The sample consisted of 551 children (266 boys and 285 girls), of which 320 were attending primary school and 231 were attending high school. Four instruments were used for collecting data: (a) a demographics questionnaire; (b) the Perceived Autonomy Support in Physical Education scale (P.A.S. in PE) for assessing students’ motivation; c) the Learning and Performance Orientations in Physical Education Classes Questionnaire (LAPOPECQ) for assessing the perceived motivational climate within the PE class, and (d) a questionnaire based on the Theory of Reasoned Action which assessed the participants' intentions for physical activity outside of school. The results showed that as children grow up and change educational levels, the perceived motivational climate with an emphasis on tasks, the sense of autonomy in PE, and the intention to exercise are on the decline. In addition, it appeared that girls exhibited less intention to exercise compared to boys, especially in the highest level of education, and were more likely to perceive the motivational climate in the PE lesson as task-oriented rather than ego-oriented. To sum up, the gender and educational level of students are considered two key factors for both motivation and a sense of autonomy in PE, as well as for their intention to exercise outside of school.

Abstract: In the present article, we analyze the place that cooperative physical activities should have in the present Physical Education curriculum. In the first part, we show that the actual trend that can help our field of knowledge gain rigour and effectiveness to order the learning outcomes is known as «Programming through Action Domains», based on the Motor Praxiology theory. In the second part, we show five lines of work that will help establish the role of cooperative physical activities inside the Physical Education curriculum: 1-as a learning content; 2-as a common strategy and resource; 3-as a temporary activity; 4-as a basic resource for improving class’ climate and coexistence and 5-as a permanent resource for the classroom.

Abstract:
Physical activity at school can be beneficial to children’s psychosocial well-being. To realise this potential, a school environment that supports physical activity is crucial. Self-Determination Theory provides the basis for one approach, namely to focus on pupils’ need to feel competent, autonomous and related. The purpose of this study was to investigate how pupils experienced a school physical activity intervention based on Self-Determination Theory and to assess whether the components developed for the intervention appeared to increase the pupils’ sense of competence, autonomy and relatedness, thereby furthering their psychosocial well-being. Two schools were selected to take part in a qualitative case study, with one grade four (ages 9–10) and one grade six (ages 12–13) class selected for closer monitoring. Ten semi-structured focus group interviews were carried out, involving 36 pupils, combined with 28 days of participant observations. The data were analysed based on the principles of deductive content analysis, using competence, autonomy and relatedness in the categorisation matrix. Findings showed that the pupils’ sense of relatedness was central to well-being and influenced their sense of competence and autonomy. Changing the physical activity climate to focus on mastery and learning instead of competing and performance was challenging, but in some instances brought about more positive experiences, especially for pupils with limited motivation in school physical activity. Finally, while being given influence and choice evidently promoted the sense of autonomy, some pupils felt uncomfortable choosing activities on behalf of the group.

Abstract:
This study examined differences in students' motivation in Greek physical education classes depending on age and amount of experience in sport and the extent to which these differences reflected divergent perceptions of competence and classes' motivational climate. 1,393 students responded to questionnaires measuring motivational climate, perceived competence, preference for challenge, interest in the lesson, and perceived importance of the lesson. Students who were not involved in out-of-school sport activities had lower scores on perceived physical competence, perceived learning orientation of the class, preference for challenge, interest in the lesson, and perceived importance of the lesson than students who were involved in organized sport. These differences in students' motivations decreased when scores on perceived learning goals and perceived physical competence were adjusted. Senior high school students (16 yr. old) were much less motivated than junior students (13 yr. old), but these differences were decreased or eliminated when scores on perceived learning orientation were controlled. These results suggest that to increase all students' motivation in physical education, a strong emphasis on personal progress should be adopted.

Abstract:
Buildings play a critical role in the stability and resilience of modern smart grids, leading to a refocusing of large-scale energy-management strategies from the supply side to the consumer side. When buildings integrate local renewable-energy generation in the form of renewable-energy resources, they become prosumers, and this adds more complexity to the operation of interconnected complex energy systems. A class of methods of modelling the energy-consumption patterns of the building have recently emerged as black-box input–output approaches with the ability to capture underlying consumption trends. These make use and require large quantities of quality data produced by nondeterministic processes underlying energy consumption. We present an application of a class of neural networks, namely, deep-learning techniques for time-series sequence modelling, with the goal of accurate and reliable building energy-load forecasting. Recurrent Neural Network implementation uses Long Short-Term Memory layers in increasing density of nodes to quantify prediction accuracy. The case study is illustrated on four university buildings from temperate climates over one year of operation using a reference benchmarking dataset that allows replicable results. The obtained results are discussed in terms of accuracy metrics and computational and network architecture aspects, and are considered suitable for further use in future in situ energy management at the building and neighborhood levels.

Abstract:
Testing and application of suitable learning tools and methods can facilitate learning environments conducive to skill acquisition for the target group. This also applies to sports education at school level, including extracurricular activities. On the one hand, traditional learning methods are still effective in sports education; on the other hand, keeping up with societal and technological developments, new learning strategies are continuously being researched to complement existing pedagogical tools. An innovative tool that has been increasingly used in various fields of application in recent years is Virtual Reality (VR) as part of the Extended Reality (XR) domain. It enables learning in immersive and specifically designed learning environments and is particularly suitable for learning in (sports-)motor contexts due to its flexible use. In our study, we test a VR-based rotation task in an extracurricular dance class with the objective of supporting the crucial didactic, collaborative, and perceptual components of dance training in educational contexts. We conducted feedback sessions with the students and used direct observation to examine their behavioural actions. Based on the qualitative content analysis of the written feedback and the overview from the observations, we can identify integrative potentials of this innovative tool in sports education, especially extracurricular dance classes.

Abstract:
The ballet class is a complex pedagogical phenomenon in which an embodied tradition is transmitted in practice from one generation to the next, shaping not just the dancing but the attitudes and perceptions of dancers throughout their careers. This paper emerges from observations and experience of recent and current ballet class practice, and theoretical investigations into embodied learning in the arts. It outlines the influential role of large hegemonic institutions in shaping how ballet is currently taught and learned; and the effect of this on the class's evolving relation to ballet's repertoire of old and emerging dances as artworks. It notes the increasing importation into ballet pedagogy of thinking rooted in sports science, engendering the notion of the dancer as athlete; and of historic attitudes which downplay the agency of the dancer. I propose an alternative model for understanding the nature of learning in the ballet class, relating it to what Donald Schön calls ‘deviant traditions of education for practice’ in other performing and visual arts ( Schön 1987 p16). I look at the dancer's absorption via the class of ballet's danse d’école, its core technique of academic dance content. I suggest how this process might more constructively be understood through the lens of craft learning and the development of craftsmanship via apprenticeship, the dancer learning alongside the teacher as experienced artist practitioner who models behaviours that foster creativity.

Abstract:
In recent years, the social economy has achieved remarkable development, and the income of residents has increased substantially. With the increasing income, residents begin to pursue a high quality of life, and the ways of entertainment also begin to become diversified. In this context, leisure sports have gradually come into the public’s view, and more and more people have started to participate in leisure sports. Aerobic gymnastics, as a popular form of fitness, is an important carrier to carry out national fitness sports and promote national health, and the development of national fitness sports cannot be carried out without scientific and effective aerobic gymnastics teaching, training, and guidance. At the present stage, the traditional aerobics teaching content and teaching methods of leisure sports majors are difficult to meet the needs of students learning. Therefore, the hybrid teaching system of aerobics classes based on cloud computing and neural networks is proposed, which combines the advantages of a network teaching and traditional teaching to comprehensively and effectively improve the efficiency and quality of aerobics teaching and improve the classroom teaching effect. At the same time, it promotes leisure sports students to systematically master the basic theoretical knowledge, skills, and methods, improve the comprehensive ability of independent learning and inquiry learning, have the ability of leisure sports program guidance and aerobics teaching organization, enhance their employability, and cultivate “multidiscipline” students who can adapt to the needs of the times and engage in technical guidance of aerobics and participate in leisure sports market services in leisure fitness clubs, industry associations, and educational institutions. This course aims to cultivate “multidiscipline” applied talents who can work in leisure and fitness clubs, industry associations, and educational institutions.

Abstract:
According to Bernstein, the central nervous system solution to the human body’s enormous variation in movement choice and control when directing movement—the problem of degrees of freedom (DF)—is to freeze the number of possibilities at the beginning of motor learning. However, different strategies of freezing DF are observed in literature, and the means of selection of the control strategy during learning is not totally clear. This review investigated the possible effects of the class and objectives of the skill practiced on DF control strategies. The results of this review suggest that freezing or releasing the DF at the beginning of learning does not depend on the class (e.g., discrete skill class: football kick, dart throwing; continuous skill class: athletic march, handwriting) or objective of the skill (e.g., balance, velocity, and accuracy), in isolation. However, an interaction between these two skill elements seems to exist and influences the selection of the DF control strategy.

This article aims to provide information about learning based on behaviorism learning theory through a drill learning model in football game material in grade VII Junior High School. Behaviorism learning theory, which has the principle of providing a stimulus that results in a response. The stimulus is given by the teacher in the form of material that needs to be done by students, resulting in students responding by doing assignments from the material. Physical education, sports, and health (PESH) learning activities involve moving activities to achieve competence. The game of football is one of the materials used in learning PESH movements. The principle of learning PESH is to involve students to move happily. The drill learning model is an alternative that can be used in soccer learning for seventh-grade students of junior high school. The exercise learning model is repeating movements in sports techniques that have been compiled by the teacher. In conclusion, with a variety of exercise learning models, students can learn PESH material to achieve better and more active sports movements and feel happy. Teachers need to innovate continuously to design learning models that are following the characteristics of students.

Abstract:
This article compares the characteristics and advantages of flipped sports classrooms with other disciplines and traditional sports classrooms, and analyzes the characteristics and advantages of flipped sports classrooms, using the method of experimental comparison and comparative analysis to sort out the characteristics of Flipped classes in the application of teaching practice. Adjusting the teaching process and structure, with sports skill teaching as the main line, can create conditions for the deepening and expansion of PE. Students are the main body in a flipped class, which confirms the teaching concept. With the advent of the Internet era, students can access the information network at any time and from any location to gain PE knowledge. To meet students' learning needs, teachers must interact with them more and grasp teaching feedback more quickly. To sort out and research flipped classroom teaching in physical education, compare the use of flipped classroom teaching in physical education to traditional PE teaching over time, and demonstrate that flipped classroom teaching in physical education should be based on sports skills teaching and the teaching process. Making the necessary adjustments can help students learn in a positive environment. Then it examines two levels of technology and operation implementation in order to provide theoretical support for Flipped classroom teaching and improve student learning efficiency.

Abstract:
The present sports teaching model research is inevitably single functional and lack of interactive, the students can hardly encouraged which especially reflected in sports teaching model system research, meanwhile, it also weaken the operability of sports teaching model. Thus, it is necessary to combine practical teaching with sports teaching model during systematical research, and it is propitious to the sports teaching reform of our country. Though the construction and demonstration of information interactive feedback teaching model, this paper shows that: with student as subject and dominated by teachers, the information interactive feedback teaching model is a systematical model with the combination of teaching and learning, it can effectively improve teaching level, help to achieve teaching objectives and accomplish teaching tasks.

Abstract:
Every learning process has its own challenges, one of which is due to the conditions and learning programs pursued by students. For example in the special class ASIFA foundation in collaboration with SMAN 7 Malang. There is a special class of soccer athletes studying at the school, namely in class XI IPS 6. Students in the class have programs in the field of sports that are quite high. Meanwhile, the results of observations and interviews indicate that the development of learning innovations through models and types of media is still not much developed by teachers. The impact, there are symptoms of low interest and lack of creativity in students. Therefore, researchers try to address these problems by conducting classroom action research using Jigsaw models accompanied by comic-making activities in the learning process. The results show that the level of student interest in learning and creativity has increased. In cycle one, there was an average increase of interest of 62%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle there was an increase in interest on average by 74%.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the problem of transition to hybrid learning in physical education in different countries and possible lessons that Ukraine can learn and implement. It is investigated that for Ukraine the transition to distance learning meant the introduction of digital inequality. 35% of the population simply do not have an Internet connection at home or do not have enough computers or phones to participate in online classes. In the field of physical education, Ukraine has additional critical factors: economic, housing (too small area of apartments in the majority of the population and their unsuitability for sports), climate (3 cold seasons out of 4), infrastructure, bureaucracy (non-recognition by the government of the key role of mobility for the formation of immunity and healthy mind and body). The experience of transition to hybrid learning in physical education of the leading countries of the world – the USA, Germany, China, Great Britain and Norway was analyzed. It was found that even for developed countries, the transition to digital has led to a significant decline (by 30-35%) in physical activity. The claim that outdoor activities are available only to the population of countries with warm climates is refuted. It is proposed to introduce a Scandinavian standard of physical activity for Ukraine, using the potential of its nature – fresh air, sun, joy of movement and interaction in the game.

Abstract:
Statistical analysis and modeling is becoming increasingly popular in professional sports organizations. Sophisticated methods and models of sports talent evaluation have been created for this purpose. In this research, we present a different perspective from the dominant tactic of statistical data analysis. We deploy Convolutional Neural Networks in an attempt to predict the career trajectory of newly drafted players from each draft class. We created a database consisting of about 1500 image data from players in every draft class since 1990. We then divided the players into five different quality classes based on their NBA career. Next, we trained popular image classification models in our data and conducted a series of tests in an attempt to create models that will provide reliable predictions of the rookie players’ careers. The results of this study suggest that there is a potential correlation between facial characteristics and athletic talent, worth of further investigation.
