Abstract:
Studie se zaměřuje na spiritualitu pedagoga jako významnou dimenzi osobnosti člověka, který vstupuje do edukačního procesu a ovlivňuje jej. Představuje výsledky výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření zjistit míru spirituality u pedagogů základních škol (N = 192), rozdíly v míře spirituality mezi pedagogy tradičních a alternativních škol a souvislost spirituality s empatií. Ukazuje se, že míra spirituality pedagogů alternativních škol je významně vyšší v dimenzích ekospiritualita, etický entuziasmus, sounáležitost, mystika, svědomitá starostlivost a latentní monoteismus než míra spirituality pedagogů tradičních škol. Bylo zjištěno, že celková míra spirituality pozitivně koreluje s mírou empatie a že je spiritualita pedagogů významným prediktorem jejich empatie.

Abstract:
Abstract This article offers a corrective to the widely held idea that the modern concept of spirituality is traceable to the seventeenth century French notion of spiritualité. Instead, the argument is made that the sixteenth and seventeenth century Spanish terms spiritual and spiritualidad are earlier expressions of the modern concept of spirituality. The article opens with an examination of the place of spirituality in the academic study of religion and proceeds to a discussion of the premises of conceptual history and modern lexicography. In the closing section, the author analyses a plethora of lexicographical and other primary source material from the medieval to the early modern periods that demonstrate the usage of the terms spirital and espiritualidad in Spain as well as in colonial Latin America. Among the sources examined are Sebastián de Covarrubias Orozco, Tesoro de la lengua castellana (Madrid: Luis Sánchez, 1611); Fernando de Valverde, Vida de Jesu Christo nuestro señor (Lima: Luis de Lyra, 1657); and Diccionario de la lengua castellana (Madrid: En la imprenta de Francisco del Hierro, 1726–1739).

AbstractThe author has used - in his paper - two different expressions related to spirituality in its entirety: that is, spirituality (the spiritual sphere in superficial sense and meaning) and spiritualism (the spiritual sphere in deep sense and meaning). The author presented selected different definitions and manifestations of spirituality and spiritualism.The considerations on so-called “spirituality” - related to different phenomena of culture - without notions of spirituality and spiritualism - are a testimony to ordinary, typical common sense thinking only.Author would like to underline, that contemporary professional, spectator sport and the Olympic Games are only a mass culture phenomenon. A phenomenon of mass culture can be only a mirror of superficial spirituality, but not a testimony to spiritualism (that is, deep spirituality).The ancient Olympic Games - in contrast to the concept of Coubertin’s idea of Olympism - were a manifestation of deep spirituality, that is spiritualism. The Greek Games were based on an internal unity between religiosity, art and sport.

Seiring perkembangan studi agama, muncul konsep religiusitas dan spiritualitas yang diperdebatkan oleh para ahli. Agama dan spiritual mulai mengalami pemisahan ketika terjadi sekulerisme Barat pada pertengahan abad 19 masehi. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research). Religiusitas lebih dianggap sebagai suatu yang formal dan instusional, sedangkan spiritualitas dikaitkan dengan sesuatu pengalaman personal dan bersifat fungsional, serta mencerminkan upaya perolehan tujuan dan makna hidup. Spiritualitas dan religiusitas berbeda dari segi konsep, namun aspek tertentu keduanya bersinggungan. Teosofi yang berarti kebijaksanaan Tuhan adalah suatu perkumpulan yang dipelopori oleh madam Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Substansi dari ajaran agama ialah spiritualitas sehingga agama tidak bisa lepas dari spiritualitas. Agama dan religiusitas merupakan bentuk formal atau institusi untuk menuju spiritualitas. Regiusitas terpaku oleh tatanan yang dibentuk oleh struktur teologi tertentu sedangkan spiritualitas memiliki kehendak bebas. [ As the study of religion developed, the concepts of religiosity and spirituality were debated by scholars. Religion and spirituality began to experience separation when Western secularism occurred in the mid-19th century. In this research, the author uses the type of library research. Religiosity is more considered as something formal and institutional, while spirituality is associated with something personal and functional experience, and reflects efforts to obtain the purpose and meaning of life. Spirituality and religiosity are different in terms of concepts, but certain aspects of both intersect. Theosophy, which means the wisdom of God, is an association pioneered by Madam Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. The substance of religious teachings is spirituality so religion cannot be separated from spirituality. Religion and religiosity are formal forms or institutions of spirituality. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran spiritualitas pada penyintas bencana Sinabung yang mencakup sembilan dimensi spiritualitas, yaitu dimensi transenden (transcendent dimension), makna dan tujuan dalam hidup (meaning and purpose in life), misi dalam hidup (mission in life), kesucian hidup (sacredness of life), nilai-nilai material (material values), altruisme (altruism), idealisme (idealism), kesadaran akan peristiwa tragis (awareness of the tragic), dan manfaat spiritualitas (fruits of spirituality). Subjek penelitian adalah 303 orang dewasa yang berusia di atas 21 tahun. Mereka berasal dari tujuh desa yang dikenai status relokasi karena tempat tinggalnya merupakan kawasan rawan bencana. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala psikologi Spirituality Orientation Inventory (SOI) untuk mengukur kesembilan dimensi spiritualitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas pada penyintas bencana Sinabung yang dikenai status relokasi berada pada kategori tinggi (87 %) dan sebagian kecil berada pada kategori sedang (13 %). Berdasarkan faktor-faktor spiritualitas, ditinjau dari usia, gambaran spiritualitas tertinggi adalah pada usia dewasa akhir (94 %), kemudian dewasa madya (88 %), dan yang terendah adalah dewasa awal (82 %). Ditinjau dari faktor agama, semua subjek umumnya menunjukkan spiritualitas yang tinggi dan sebagian kecil menunjukkan spiritualitas tingkat sedang. This study aimed to see a picture of spirituality in the survivors of the Sinabung disaster which includes nine dimensions of spirituality, namely the transcendent dimension, meaning and purpose in life (meaning and purpose in life), mission in life (mission in life), sanctity of life (sacredness of life), material values (material values), altruism (altruism), idealism (idealism), awareness of tragic events (awareness of the tragic), and the benefits of spirituality (fruits of spirituality). The subjects of the research consisted of 303 adults over the age of 21 years. They came from seven village subjects to relocation status because their residence was a disaster-prone area. The instrument used was a psychology scale Spirituality Orientation Inventory (SOI) to measure the nine dimensions of spirituality. The results of the study showed that spirituality in the survivors of the Sinabung disaster subject to relocation status was placed in the high category (87%) and a small portion was in the moderate category (13%). Based on spirituality factors, in terms of age, the highest picture of spirituality was in late adulthood (94%), then middle adulthood (88%), and the lowest was early adulthood (82%). Judging from the religious factors, all subjects generally showed high level of spirituality and a small portion showed moderate level of spirituality.

Spirituality education is a necessity in the church. This becomes very important to note because in the educational process there is a tendency that educators only maximize cognitively and ignore the spirituality of students. This paper aims to build the spirituality of educators in the church. This goal helps educators carry out spirituality education in the church. The method used to achieve the goal is descriptive qualitative. The result is that educators need to build and maintain Christian spirituality as the basis for educating educators in the church.Pendidikan spiritualitas merupakan kebutuhan dalam gereja. Hal ini menjadi sangat penting untuk diperhatikan sebab dalam proses mendidik ada kecenderungan bahwa pendidik hanya memaksimalkan kognitif dan mengabaikan spiritualitas nara didik. Tulisan ini bertujuan membangun spiritualitas pendidik dalam gereja. Tujuan ini menolong para pendidik dalam melakukan pendidikan spiritualitas di gereja. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasilnya pendidik perlu membangun dan merawat spiritualitas Kristen sebagai dasar dalam mendidik naradidik di gereja.

Abstract:
The Islamic spirituality permeating the practice of Muslim religious beliefs, values, and norms, is positioned to play a pivotal role in addiction prevention, treatment, rehabilitation therapy and recovery of Muslim addicts. This study seeks to explore potential interconnections between spirituality, addiction treatments, recovery, and the ways and means with which Islamic spirituality may assist addicts in coping with inner urges, relapse, and recovery. This study seeks to lay the groundwork for future theoretical and empirical research on spirituality and addiction, development of spirituality-based addiction programs, and the assessment of related current spiritual philosophies, methods, and strategies. This inquiry discusses spirituality as a source of meaning-making and purpose cultivation, self-discipline, motivation, support, reintegration, and related issues arising in these regards, and highlights the need for utilizing spirituality as a critical instrument in addiction treatment programs. Islamic spirituality however is neither – and should not be considered - a sole treatment scheme, nor does it appreciate absolute reliance on non-spiritual means of recovery in favor of positivistic empirical methods. [Spiritualitas Islam meresap ke pelbagai praktik keberagamaan, nilai dan norma, yang mana hal ini juga berperan penting pada pencegahan, pengobatan, terapi rehabilitasi dan pemulihan kecanduan pada umat muslim. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi potensi keterkaitan antara spiritualitas, penyembuhan kecanduan, pemulihan dan cara serta sarana spiritualitas Islam dalam membantu pecandu mengelola kondisi batin, ketika kambuh dan pemulihan. Studi ini berusaha meletakkan dasar bagi penelitian teoretis dan empiris dimasa depan tentang spiritualitas dan kecanduan, pengembangan program kecanduan berbasis spiritualitas, dan penilaian filosofi, metode, dan strategi spiritual terkait. AbstractThis essay examines the life of Ignatius of Loyola (c. 1491–1556), founder of the Society of Jesus [Jesuits], whose religious experience defined the contours of Ignatian spirituality. Through an exploration of foundational documents such as Ignatius's “autobiography,” the Spiritual Exercises, the Jesuits' Constitutions, and early Jesuit writings, this essay shows how the diversity of early Jesuit ministries – as spiritual guides, opponents of Protestantism, schoolteachers, and missionaries to lands outside Europe – can be subsumed under the single rubric of “apostolic mission.” Constitutive features of Ignatian spirituality impinging upon the Jesuit notion of and concrete practice of apostolic mission included the priority of prayer, the Trinitarian missio Dei, the positive embrace of creation and culture, a commitment to seek God in all things, go wherever others needed help, form them to help others, and choose ministries according to what most served the universal good. These principles, not always realized in actual Jesuit ministries, prove useful today for theorists and practitioners of Christian mission. Cet article examine la vie d'Ignace de Loyola (c. 1491–1556), fondateur de la Société de Jésus (Jésuites), dont l'expérience religieuse a défini les contours de la spiritualité ignatienne. A travers l'exploration de documents fondamentaux tels que la « biographie » d'Ignace, les Exercices spirituels, les Constitutions des Jésuites et les premiers écrits jésuites, l'article montre comment la diversité des premiers ministères jésuites – comme guides spirituels, opposants au Protestantisme, enseignants et missionnaires vers des terres hors de l'Europe – peut être rassemblée sous la rubrique unique de « mission apostolique ». Les traits constitutifs de la spiritualité ignatienne qui eurent des répercussions sur la notion et la pratique jésuite de la mission apostolique comprenaient la priorité de la prière, la missio Dei trinitaire, l'accueil positif de la création et de la culture, un engagement à chercher Dieu en toutes choses, à aller partout où il y avait besoin d'aide, à former à aider les autres, et à choisir les ministères en fonction de ce qui contribuait le plus au bien universel. Durch eine Untersuchung der Gründungsdokumente wie der ,,Autobiografie“ des Ignatius, der Geistlichen Übungen, der Konstitutionen der Jesuiten und früher jesuitischer Schriften zeigt dieser Artikel, wie die Vielfalt der frühen jesuitischen Dienste – als spirituelle Leiter, Gegner des Protestantismus, Lehrer und Missionare außerhalb Europas – unter der einen Rubrik ,,apostolische Mission“ zusammengefasst werden kann. Grundlegende Züge der ignatianischen Spiritualität, die das Verständnis und die konkrete Praxis der apostolischen Mission beeinflussen, schlossen den Vorrang des Gebets ein sowie die trinitarische missio Dei, einen positiven Zugang zu Schöpfung und Kultur, die Hingabe Gott in allen Dingen zu suchen, dorthin zu gehen wo andere Hilfe brauchten, sie auszubilden, damit sie anderen helfen können und jene Dienste zu wählen, die das höhere Gut am meisten förderten. Diese Prinzipien, die nicht immer in den aktuellen jesuitischen Diensten umgesetzt werden, erweisen sich heute als nützlich für Theoretiker und Praktiker der christlichen Mission. Este ensayo examina la vida de Ignacio de Loyola (c. 1491–1556), fundador de la Compañía de Jesús [jesuitas], cuya experiencia religiosa define los parámetros de su espiritualidad. A través de un análisis de documentos fundacionales, tales como la “autobiografía” de Ignacio de Loyola, los Ejercicios espirituales, Constituciones de la Compañía y otros escritos de los primeros tiempos jesuíticos, este ensayo señala cómo la diversidad de los ministerios de los jesuitas en su etapa inicial – directores espirituales, opositores del protestantismo, maestros de escuelas y misioneros a lugares fuera de Europa- puede clasificarse bajo la categoría de “misión apostólica.” Elementos importantes de la espiritualidad de Ignacio de Loyola que inciden en la noción y la práctica concreta de la misión apostólica jesuítica incluyen la prioridad de la oración, la missio Dei trinitaria, el aceptar la creación y la cultura, el compromiso de buscar a Dios en todas las cosas, ir a donde otros necesitan ayuda, proveer instrucción sobre cómo ayudar a otros y elegir ministerios que sean más beneficiosos para el bien universal. Abstract:
This article aims to analyze spiritualism education in the Quran. The discussion focuses on four sub-discussions, namely: (1) The meaning of spiritualism in the Quran; (2) spiritual aspects of the Quran; (3) methods of Quran spirituality; and (4) the implications of Quran spirituality. This literature review documents various books, journals, and other research results as data sources. The collected data were then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the concept of spiritualism in the perspective of the Koran is related to the world of the spirit, close to God, contains mysticism and interiority, and is equated with the essentials. Based on tracing the verses of the Quran, the three dimensions of spirituality in it are the dimension of transcendental, the dimension of norms, and the dimension of values. There are three methods of Quranic spirituality, namely tazakkur (remembrance of Allah), tafakkur (thinking about nature), and tadabbur (thinking about revelations or verses of Allah). The implications of the spirituality of the Koran are manifested in two terms in tasawuf spiritualism, namely al-maqāmat (the path to Sufism) and al-aḥwāl (the Sufi character).

Abstract:
Despite evidence in college students indicating a hunger for spiritual insight and spirituality’s application in health care, there continues to be guardedness within the academy towards inclusion of curricula that address spirituality. The purpose of this article is to examine the ethical considerations of teaching spirituality in the academy by describing current trends, issues relevant to nursing education and practice, legitimate concerns of the academy, and the importance of an ethical instructional response when teaching about spirituality. Data supporting the interest and desire by students to explore meaning and purpose in the context of spirituality will be presented. Challenges and barriers inherent in teaching this topic will be described, including the affective response, the lack of a universally accepted definition of spirituality, and spirituality’s relationship to religion. Pedagogical strategies consistent with an ethical instructional response will be discussed as the key to eliciting trust within the academy. A model of teaching spirituality and health will be offered to illustrate these possibilities.

Spiritualitas adalah hidup menurut roh. Dalam konteks hubungan yang transenden, roh itu adalah Roh Allah sendiri. Spiritualitas adalah hidup yang didasarkan pada pengaruh dan bimbingan Roh Allah. Spiritualitas bertujuan untuk membuat manusia hidup sesuai dengan cita-cita Allah atau tujuan Allah. Spiritualitas merupakan peningkatan hidup beragama yang bersumber pada religiositas. Dengan menghayati spiritualitas, manusia menjadi orang spiritual, yaitu orang yang menghayati Allah dalam hidup nyata sehari-hari sesuai dengan panggilan dan peran hidupnya. Hasilnya adalah kaum wanita Kristen akan tekun mencari Tuhan, mengandalkan Tuhan, menjaga kekudusan hidup dan setia menepati janji. Spirituality is living according to the spirit. In the context of a transcendent relationship, that spirit is the Spirit of God Himself. Spirituality is a life based on the influence and guidance of the Spirit of God. Spirituality aims to make human beings live according to God's ideals or God's purposes. Spirituality is an increase in religious life which is rooted in religiosity. By living spirituality, humans become spiritual people, that is, people who live God in real everyday life according to their vocation and role. To find the answer, a study was made using descriptive bibliological research methods. The result is that Christian women will diligently seek God, rely on God, keep their lives holy and faithfully keep their promises.

Penelitian ini memanfaatkan teori struktur naratif Vladimir Propp, yang terdiri dari dua tahap analisis. Pertama, analisis mengenai identifikasi motif spiritualitas dalam enam novel serial Supernova secara tekstual. Kedua, hasil identifikasi tersebut menunjukkan adanya unsur yang berulang terkait dengan motif spiritualitas yang disebut sebagai fungsi. Fungsi-fungsi tersebut kemudian dirumuskan sesuai dengan urutan kemunculannya dalam setiap novel. Melalui kedua tahap analisis tersebut dapat diperoleh makna dari adanya motif spiritualitas dalam keenam novel serial Supernova. Berdasarkan tahap analisis, ditemukan konsistensi motif spiritulitas dalam keenam novel merupakan sebuah proses pencarian dalam suatu kehidupan, serta merupakan usaha pemenuhan kekosongan diri untuk menemukan makna kehidupan. Plastisitas spiritualitas dalam keenam novel lebih menitikberatkan pada posisi sains sebagai unsur pembangun kesadaran setiap individu. This research utilizes the theory of narrative structure Vladimir Propp, which consists of two stages of analysis. First, an analysis of the identification of spirituality motif in six Supernova novel series. Second, the results of the identification indicate a recurring element related to the spirituality motif called function. These functions are then formulated according to the order in which they appear in each novel. Through these two stages of analysis can be obtained the meaning of the existence of a spirituality motif in the six serial Supernova novels. Based on the analysis phase, consistency of spirituality motifs can be found in the six novels as a process searching in life, and it is an attempt to fulfill the self-emptiness to find the meaning of life. Le but de cette réflexion théologique est de montrer, à l’aide d’un modèle théorique, comment l’application de la spiritualité bénédictine au loisir des personnes âgées peut favoriser le bonheur spirituel. L’analyse s’est articulée notamment autour d’un syllogisme. Le cœur de la spiritualité bénédictine est la contemplation. Or, les personnes âgées sont tout naturellement disposées à la réminiscence, à l’introspection et à la contemplation. Donc, la spiritualité bénédictine convient particulièrement au loisir des personnes âgées. Quatre valeurs bénédictines ont été retenues, à savoir la fraternité, la modération, l’hospitalité et l’humilité. Dans le modèle, la spiritualité bénédictine est reliée à la contemplation, à l’union avec Dieu et au bonheur spirituel. Par ailleurs, la spiritualité bénédictine, le loisir contemplatif et les personnes âgées sont interreliés; en plus, les personnes âgées et le loisir contemplatif sont directement reliés à la contemplation. Bref, il s’agissait de jeter un regard bénédictin sur le loisir, le vieillissement et le bonheur. The purpose of this theological reflection is the application of Benedictine spirituality to the leisure of older people. Based on a syllogism, it presupposes that the heart of Benedictine spirituality is contemplation. Hence, older people are predisposed to reminiscence, introspection and contemplation. Therefore, Benedictine spirituality is particularly appropriate for the leisure of older people. Four Benedictine values were selected namely fraternity, moderation, hospitality and humility. Also in a proposed theoretical model, Benedictine spirituality is related to contemplation, union with God and spiritual happiness. Furthermore, Benedictine spirituality, contemplative leisure and older people are all interrelated while older people and contemplation are directly related to contemplation. Essentially, this paper aimed at providing a monastic outlook on happiness, aging and contemplative leisure.

Abstract:
Cases of violence and discrimination against marginalized people are a condition that still often occurs in our society. In this situation, the role of spirituality becomes something fundamental in helping this social challenge, as well as with Christian spirituality, how Christians can apply human rights in this issue. The discussion in this article uses qualitative research with a literature review approach. The results of the study show that mature Christian spirituality through the source, namely the Lord Jesus, is manifested by the work of the Holy Spirit to be able to understand and interpret every teaching of God's Word, then it is applied in behavior and actions. The values of Christian spirituality in respecting God, respect for others, justice and love are the basic human rights for church members against the marginalized. Christian spirituality must touch the church, family, and school segments to continue to form church members so that they have mature Christian spirituality so that they are able to apply it to the marginalized. AbstrakKasus kekerasan dan diskriminasi kepada kaum marginal merupakan sebuah keadaan yang masih kerap terjadi di masyarakat kita. Dalam situasi ini, peran spiritulaitas menjadi sesuatu yang fundamental dalam membantu tantangan sosial ini, demikian juga dengan spiritualitas orang Kristen, bagaimana orang Kristen dapat mengaplikasikan HAM dalam persoalan itu. Pembahasan dalam artikel ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka atau literture review. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa spiritualitas Kristen yang matang melalui sumber yaitu Tuhan Yesus yang diwujudkan dengan karya Roh Kudus untuk dapat memahami dan menginterpretasikan setiap penagaja- ran Firman Tuhan, kemudian di aplikasikan dalam perilaku dan tindakan. Nilai spiritualitas Kristen dalam menghargai Allah, menghargai sesama, keadilan dan kasih menjadi dasar HAM bagi warga gereja terhadap kaum marginal. Spiritualitas Kristen harus menyentuh segmen gereja, keluarga dan sekolah untuk terus membentuk warga gereja supaya memiliki spiritualitas Kristen yang matang sehingga mampu mengaplikasikannya kepada kaum marginal.

Abstract. Spirituality is one of the psychological aspects that is very important for humans. All the conveniences and speeds obtained in the digital era today can have positive or even negative impacts on one's spirituality. Some of the factors that affect one's level of spirituality include the stage of development, culture, family, religion, life experience and crisis and change. This study aims to determine how the effect of parental attachment on spirituality by using the internet as a moderator variable in generation Z (students) obtained through simple random sampling technique. The study was conducted with a quantitative method of causality to 400 students of UIN Bandung. Analysis of the data used is multiple regression analysis techniques MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis) interaction test. The results of this study indicate that parental attachment has no effect on spirituality (p> .05, R2 = .000) and internet use can moderate the effect of parental attachment on spirituality in generation Z (students) (p <.05, R2 = .039). Abstrak. Spritualitas merupakan salah satu aspek psikologis yang sangat penting bagi manusia. Segala kemudahan dan kecepatan yang diperoleh pada era digital saat ini dapat berdampak positif atau bahkan berdampak negatif bagi spiritualitas seseorang. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat spiritualitas seseorang diantaranya adalah tahap perkembangan, budaya, keluarga, agama, pengalaman hidup serta krisis dan perubahan. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh parental attachment terhadap spiritualitas dengan penggunaan internet sebagai variabel moderator pada generasi Z (mahasiswa) yang diperoleh melalui teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif kausalitas terhadap 400 mahasiswa UIN Bandung. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi berganda uji interaksi MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa parental attachment tidak berpengaruh terhadap spiritualitas (p > .05, R2 = .000) dan penggunaan internet dapat memoderasi pengaruh parental attachment terhadap spiritualitas pada generasi Z (mahasiswa) (p < .05, R2 = .039).

Abstract:
This article argues that secular humanists’ scholars like postmodernists are developing great interest in spirituality as though they are beginning to have a positive approach towards religion and as though they are beginning to abandon their secular humanistic beliefs. Despite such positive approach towards spiritualism, they have not changed their position against religion. In fact, in the spiritual practices of Eastern religions such as the transcendental meditation of Buddhism and Hinduism in healing Western troubled souls has however no clear relationship with religiosity. In the same vein, Postmodern preaches that mental growth, development, inner peace and contentment are gained on a personal and individual level instead of developing a relationship with God. This kind of secularization to spirituality is absurd and confusing to Muslims who do not differentiate between the Western conceptions of spirituality and religiosity. Hence, the objective of this paper is to address the issue of spirituality brought forth by secular humanism and postmodern, by drawing the distinction between western secular conception of spirituality and Islamic spirituality, the nature and the significant of spirituality and the relationship between spirituality and religiosity and spiritual intelligence. This paper concludes there is a necessary and positive relationship between religious and spiritual practices and psycho-spiritual wellbeing and life as a whole. From Islamic perspective, no spirituality without religiosity. Spirituality is the essence of religiosity and they are undoubtedly of equal important and significant to understand the role of religion which is revealed from God, as a way of life. Hence, there is no good without God.

Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) kondisi spiritualitas keagamaan Ustadz-Santri diketahui dari aspek beribadah kepada Allah SWT. secara vertikal dan hubungan antar sesama dari aspek horizontal, (2) pesan komunikasi ustadz-santri diketahui dari cara santri dalam menerima dan menolak pesan sehingga pemahaman keagamaan santri lebih baik lagi dari sebelumnya, (3) adanya berbagai bentuk komunikasi (interpersonal, kelompok besar, kelompok kecil) sehingga ustadz-santri dapat memperbaiki kondisi keagamaan menjadi lebih baik, (4) berbagai teknik komunikasi (informatif, persuasif dan human relations, koersif) sehingga para ustadz-santri dapat memperbaiki kondisi keagamaan menjadi lebih baik, (5) melalui pesan, bentuk, dan teknik komunikasi disimpulkan bahwa spiritualitas keagamaan santri menjadi lebih baik daripada sebelumnya, baik dalam ibadah kepada Allah secara vertikal ataupun kepada sesama manusia secara horizontal. This study aims to: (1) find the condition of religious spirituality of ustadz-santri in Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN SGD Bandung, (2) find communication message of Ustadz-Santri in improving religious spirituality of students, (3) find communication form Ustadz- santri in improving the religious spirituality of the students, (4) finding communication techniques of ustadz-santri in improving the religious spirituality of students, (5) finding communication of ustadz santri in improving the spirituality of students' keagmaan. The method used in this research is phenomenology. This study concludes that: (1) the condition of religious spirituality Ustadz-Santri is known from the aspect of worship to Allah SWT. (2) communication messages of ustadz-santri is known from the way santri in accepting and rejecting the message so that the religious understanding of santri is better than before, (3) the existence of various forms of communication (interpersonal, large group, (4) various communication techniques (informative, persuasive and human relations, coercive) so that the religious teachers can improve religious conditions for the better, (5) through the message, form, and communication techniques concluded that the religious spirituality of santri becomes better than before, whether in worship to God vertically or to human beings horizontally.

Abstract:
Risk factors such as depression and low SES often affect an HIV infected mother’s ability to function within her family. Spirituality may interact with such risk factors contributing to the resiliency of these mothers. The current study explored spirituality’s influence on the relationship between depression and perceptions of family functioning in African American women living with HIV. High levels of spirituality were associated with decreased psychological distress and spirituality served as a significant predictor of family cohesion. Findings from this study support the importance of spirituality in the lives of African American women living with HIV and their families.

Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the threat of death. Some older people feel they are not ready to face the end of their lives, so psychosocial problems arise, such as loneliness, anxiety, and depression. This research study aims to explore some psychosocial aspects, namely spirituality, social support, depression, anxiety, and loneliness in the elderly during the pandemic. The research design was cross-sectional. The total sample was 142 people selected using the purposive sampling method. Data collection used various scales to look at spirituality, depression, anxiety, and loneliness. The results showed that median spirituality and social support scores were high. The median depression and loneliness scores were mild. The average anxiety score for the elderly was normal. Based on the Pearson and Spearman correlation tests, relationships were shown between spirituality and anxiety scores, social support and anxiety scores, anxiety and depression scores, and loneliness and depression scores. The elderly need spirituality and social support when facing the end of life, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, to prevent the emergence of psychosocial problems. Social support and high spirituality must be maintained, even though the pandemic has subsided, in case such a health crisis occurs again. Abstrak Kecemasan, Depresi, Kesepian, Spiritualitas, dan Dukungan Sosial pada Lansia Saat Pandemi COVID-19. Pandemi COVID-19 mengancam banyak jiwa. Sebagian dari lansia merasa belum siap menghadapi akhir kehidupan seperti kematian sehingga muncul masalah psikososial seperti kesepian, cemas, dan depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aspek psikososial lansia yaitu spiritualitas, dukungan sosial, depresi, kecemasan, dan kesepian selama pandemi COVID-19. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 142 orang yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan berbagai kuisioner untuk melihat spiritualitas, depresi, kecemasan, dan kesepian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa median skor spiritualitas dan dukungan sosial termasuk tinggi. Nilai median depresi dan kesepian tergolong ringan. Rata-rata skor kecemasan lansia adalah normal. Berdasarkan uji korelasi Pearson dan Spearman, ditunjukkan hubungan antara skor spiritualitas dan kecemasan, skor dukungan sosial dan kecemasan, skor kecemasan dan depresi, serta skor kesepian dan depresi. Lansia membutuhkan spiritualitas dan dukungan sosial dalam menghadapi akhir kehidupan maupun saat pandemi COVID-19 untuk mencegah munculnya masalah psikososial. Dukungan sosial dan spiritualitas yang tinggi harus tetap dijaga, walaupun pandemi COVID-19 sudah mereda, agar mampu bertahan jika krisis kesehatan muncul kembali. Sensitivitias moral merupakan ketentuan penting dalam praktik keperawatan dan menjadi tuntutan dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan secara holistik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan spiritualitas dan sensitivitas moral mahasiswa keperawatan di Provinsi Bali. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan deskriptif korelasional ini mengikutsertakan 122 mahasiswa keperawatan di Bali sebagai sampel dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner data demografi, spiritualitas, dan sensitivitas moral. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan antara spiritualitas dengan sensitvitas moral mahasiswa keperawatan di Provinsi Bali (r = 0.320, P<0,001). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang lemah antara kedua variabel dengan arah hubungan yang positif dengan makna semakin tinggi tingkat spiritualitas mahasiswa keperawatan maka semakin tinggi sensitivitas moral mahasiswa keperawatan. Faktor-faktor lain yang dapat memengaruhi sensitivitas moral mahasiswa keperawatan perlu diteliti lebih lanjut. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between spirituality and moral sensitivity of nursing students in Bali Province. This quantitative research with a descriptive correlational design included 122 nursing students in Bali as samples and used purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using demographic, spirituality and moral sensitivity data questionnaires. This study found that there was a relationship between spirituality and moral sensitivity of nursing students in Bali Province (r = 0.320, P <0.001). These results indicate that there is a weak relationship between both of variables with the direction of a positive relationship which means that the higher level of spirituality of nursing students then the higher level of moral sensitivity among nursing students. Spiritual practice is training one’s mind, spirit and emotions, so that one becomes closer to God, for example personal prayer, Bible study, fasting, Sunday worship, community cell seminars and service as part of the process of forming spirituality. The research method used for this writing is a qualitative method by observing experiences and reviewing literature. The analysis used is descriptive in nature with a study of practical theology. Through spiritual practice, believers will experience the formation of spirituality. Spirituality is a power that a person has to be able to have strength, goodness, holiness, obedience and sensitivity in Jesus Christ. Analisa yang digunakan bersifat deskrisi dengan kajian teologi praktik. Melalui latihan rohani orang percaya akan mengalami pembentukan pembentukan spiritualitas. Abstract:
This research aimed to investigate the relationship between workplace spirituality and organizational hypocrisy from teachers' perspectives. The study employed a cross-sectional quantitative survey design. The data for the research was collected from 276 teachers working at lower secondary schools in Turkey. Stepwise multiple regression was performed in the analysis to identify the predictive power of workplace spirituality dimensions for organizational hypocrisy dimensions. The findings suggest that workplace spirituality significantly predicts organizational hypocrisy. In the model, the highest explanatory power of the total variation belonged to workplace spirituality's self-perception, meaningful work, and organizational values dimensions. Consequently, this research emphasizes the importance of workplace spirituality in reducing the effects for schools that have to act hypocritically. This research is the first research on the potential impact of workplace spirituality on organizational hypocrisy behavior in schools. In this context, it was concluded that workplace spirituality was important in reducing perceptions related to hypocritical behavior displayed by school administrations among teachers in the schools.

In many of the contemporary writings, the scholars have talked about spirituality as a constant pursuit of humanity throughout history. Throughout history, the search for spirituality has found numerous cultural interpretations, but its critical and comparative study in the global and intercultural context is an emerging phenomenon of the twentieth century. Although many contemporary dictionaries and encyclopedias refer to spiritualism, spiritual associations, and spiritual experiences, or spiritual ways, they are not necessarily included an entry for spirituality in the true sense of the word. Some religions do not have a precise word for the term ‘spirituality’ which derives from the Christian tradition, but nevertheless the notion of spirituality has become popular today and is now used both inside and outside the religions as well as in the inter-faith and secular fields. The tendencies that are common in contemporary times to spirituality emphasize individuality and self-development and have been accompanied by a different understanding of human psychology.

Abstract: In this qualitative study, the spiritual experiences and leadership of 15 Black collegiate men enrolled at higher education institutions were examined. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand how Black men student leaders make meaning of spirituality. The first finding described how Black men students make meaning of spirituality to navigate life challenges and empower their leadership. The second finding revealed how Black men student leaders defined spirituality, which was influenced by but not exclusive to their religious beliefs. And the last finding underscored who they were as Black men and leaders, providing context to spirituality's meaning in their leadership experiences. Overall, the central focus of this study was the phenomenon of spirituality and leadership; however, this study revealed that research needs to focus on the intersection of leadership development, racial identity development, and spirituality. This article provides recommendations for administrators, faculty, and staff to be more inclusive of spirituality in the leadership development of Black men college students.

But in the present, by elaborating on the results of literature studies and paying attention to the context of terrorism in Indonesia and the historical journey of theological view of political spirituality in the church, the author shows that we need to pay attention to the five foundations of political spirituality theology, namely to realize a secular faith, promote moral values and political mediation, love justice and peace, serve the public interest, rule through service and love. The limitation of children with disabilities raises the idea of the barriers of the church and church members in developing spiritual and religious environments. This paper portrays an exploratory study that explores the perceptions of companions or volunteers on the spirituality and religiosity of Christian children with disabilities. Data were collected by focus group discussions among five participants. The finding shows that the mentoring process needs to be criticized, which links the spirituality and religiosity of children with disabilities to praying and singing hymns. The church has not fully implemented inclusiveness both in physical facilities and services. Families have an essential role in developing the spirituality and religiosity of children with disabilities. Characteristics of children more or less hinder the companion in facilitating the development of spirituality and religiosity of children with disabilities. Keterbatasan anak penyandang disabilitas memunculkan gagasan tentang hambatan gereja dan anggota gereja dalam mengembangkan lingkungan spiritual dan keagamaan. Tulisan ini menggambarkan sebuah studi eksplorasi yang menggali persepsi pendamping atau relawan terhadap spiritualitas dan religiusitas anak-anak penyandang disabilitas Kristen. Data dikumpulkan dengan diskusi kelompok terfokus di antara lima peserta. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa proses pendampingan perlu dikritisi, yang mengaitkan spiritualitas dan religiusitas anak difabel dengan berdoa dan menyanyikan lagu-lagu pujian. Gereja belum sepenuhnya menerapkan inklusivitas baik dalam fasilitas fisik ataupun pelayanan. Since ancient times philosophers have been concerned with the issues of spirituality. The characteristic of the personality from the spirituality viewpoint gives the chance to see in a person the already created moral values. These values are reflected in his/her education and reactions to the arising situations demanding instant actions. It is important to underline that the spiritual world of a man is formed both within the religious and the secular system. In this article, the authors tried to show the difference between spiritualty and morality and to present spirituality from the perspective of such moral values as “freedom” and “conscience”. In this regard, a theoretical analysis was carried out and the definitions of “spirituality” given by philosophers of some epochs were proposed. Moreover, the authors find it necessary to present such concepts as “spirit”, “morality” associated with the concept of “spirituality”, as well as views of some ancient, Western and Russian philosophers. The article also describes spiritual values such as «morality», «freedom», and «conscience». The authors come to the conclusion that conscience is the highest measure of morality, which determines man’s spiritual world and culture.

Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), melalui kolaborasi partisipatif antara pengelola, tokoh masyarakat, dan pemuda komunitas Bina Mitra Mandiri untuk mengembangkan Wisata Bi-Land. Hasil program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa para calon instruktur wisata spiritualitas memahami materi-materi etos dan budaya kerja berbasis spiritualitas, serta pendekatan psikoterapi di alam yang dapat dintegrasikan ke dalam program wisata. Selain itu, hasil pengabdian ini dapat mengembangkan program sprituality camping yang diintegrasikan ke dalam program Wisata Bi-Land. Pengabdian ini berhasil membentuk kelompok instruktur wisata spiritual serta memberdayakan pengelola wisata Bi-Land dan masyarakat komunitas Bina Mitra Mandiri untuk bersinergi dalam mewujudkan program wisata berbasis spiritualitas. This community service aims to develop the potential of spiritual tourism in Bi-Land Tourism, Sundaland by focusing on three problems, namely human resources for instructors, spirituality-based tourism programs, and management of spiritual tourism program management. The method used in this community service program was Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), through participatory collaboration between managers, community leaders, and youth of Bina Mitra Mandiri community to develop Bi-Land Tourism. The results of this community service program show that prospective spirituality tourism instructors understand the materials of spirituality-based work ethic and culture, as well as psychotherapeutic approaches in nature that can be integrated into tourism programs. In addition, the results of this service can develop a spirituality camping program that is integrated into the Bi-Land Tourism program. This service succeeded in forming a group of spiritual tourism instructors and empowering the Bi-Land tourism manager and the Bina Mitra Mandiri community to work synergistically in realizing a spirituality-based tourism program. This community service program has theoretical implications that the management of natural tourism management based on spirituality must have a theo-eco-agro-tourism paradigm. This article aims to analyze religiosity and spirituality's roles to prevent the impulsivity of buying. Impulse buying is an irrational, unplanned, spontaneous buying behavior aimed to seek pleasure and emotional fulfillment. The research method is a literature study of journals related to religiosity and spirituality in customer decision making. The study results concluded that several factors cause impulsive buying, such as less self-control, hedonic lifestyle, and materialism. Abstract:
This article aims to examine the views of Hindu and Buddhist spiritualism related to efforts to deal with environmental damage in Indonesia and try to find common ground between Hindu and Buddhist spiritualism regarding environmental preservation with the teachings of Sufism in Islam. The method used in this article is library research with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The research shows that the ecological damage that has occurred in Indonesia is very worrying. This happens because humans have no concern for their environment, they only focus on taking the maximum benefit for profit alone. Religion has authority in environmental preservation by instilling ethics and morals in humans. Spirituality in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam is aimed at getting closer to God. There is a concept for each religion to increase one's spirituality, namely through bhakti marga yoga in Hinduism, hasta ariya magha in Buddhism, and Sufism in Islamic teachings. The concepts shared by each of these religions have in common to shape one's spirituality which can be reflected in a moral person. Immoral cases such as environmental damage are a big thing that can be solved by increasing one's spirituality.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of spirituality variables on student learning motivation. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression statistical tests. Data collection techniques used a Likert attitude scale with four answer choices distributed to 76 students who were respondents in this study. The results showed that the Spirituality variable obtained an average score of 21.36 which was included in the high category while the Student Learning Motivation variable obtained an average score of 14.78 which was also included in the high category. The results of data processing showed that there was an influence of Spirituality variables on Student Learning Motivation by 9.9%, meaning that changes in the Learning Motivation variable by 9.9% could be explained by changes in Spirituality variables. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pengaruh variabel spiritualitas terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala sikap Likert dengan empat pilihan jawaban yang dibagikan kepada 76 orang mahasiswa yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel Spiritualitas memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 21.36 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi sementara variabel motivasi belajar mahasiswa memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 14.78 yang juga termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan ada korelasi variabel spiritualitas terhadap moti-vasi belajar mahasiswa sebesar 9.9%, artinya perubahan dalam variabel motivasi belajar sebesar 9.9% dapat dijelaskan oleh perubahan dalam variabel spiritualitas.

Consistent with Terror Management Theory (TMT), COVID-19 has made us question our mortality and past studies have indicated the importance of religiosity to enhance subjective well-being (SWB), however, studies on spirituality’s impact are incomplete. The pandemic has created an environment where both religiosity and spirituality may play a vital role. Israel was selected due to the emergence of Jewish spirituality, a phenomenon that is growing in importance but understudied. In response to these caveats, the current study examines the mediating role played by spirituality on the SWB of the religious during the pandemic. Participants from Israel (n = 138) were recruited via Qualtrics’ online panels. Findings showed Jews’ religiosity was important to enhance their SWB, i.e., religious beliefs bring certainty and happiness to one’s life, especially, during the COVID-19 pandemic. More importantly, spirituality mediated the effect of religiosity on SWB, specifically, spirituality was important to enhance the well-being of low religious Jews. Implications for health messaging during a global pandemic are discussed.

Background: Bereavement after a life partner’s suicide can be a complex experience marked by a grieving process and post-traumatic reactions. Transforming the continuing bond after such a loss is a difficult but important task. Little is known about how spirituality can function in the context of continuing bonds during suicide bereavement. This study aimed to reveal how women bereaved by their life partners‘ suicide experience a spirituality-related continuing bond with the deceased. Methods: The sample consisted of 11 women who lost their life partners due to suicide 2–5 years ago. Participants attended semi-structured interviews. Results were analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis. Results: Five themes were generated: Feelings towards the deceased—a tribute to his life; Spirituality provides methods to continue the bond; Continuing bonds in the context of the afterlife; Continuing bonds through spiritual experiences; Spirituality as a way to not continue the bond. Conclusions: The findings reveal the complex nature of spirituality-related experiences of continuing bonds after a life partner’s suicide. Spirituality, if important for the bereaved, influences how the continuing bonds are perceived and maintained. The postvention strategies should consider spirituality’s role in the process of grief and continuing bonds.

Implikasi manajerial pada penelitian ini adalah pada industri yaitu dengan memberikan lebel halal pada produk makanan. Abstract Sport activity of achievement-oriented (professional, Olympic, spectacular character) is first of all exposition of rivalry and striving for variously understood sports success (resulting from measurable or discretionary criteria). It refers to winning a competition or taking another expected place as well as to other forms of satisfaction, such as financial gratification or social (political, ethnic, professional) recognition. Spirituality is here neither an aim, nor an expected value - it constitutes rather an additional or redundant quality. A competitor focuses his/her attention first of all on the main aim assumed in planned or current rivalry. Emotional sensations which are experienced by athletes before, during or after competitions testify to mental and emotional stress which accompanies sports combat. It is also difficult to associate spirituality or spiritualism with sport for all - like, for example, that of health-oriented character - sport of the disabled, physical education, sport of playful character or physical recreation. That difficulty results from the fact that neither spiritualism, nor spirituality inspires for physical activity in the abovementioned fields; neither spiritualism, nor spirituality is the outcome of activity in the realm of sport for all. Exceptions are constituted by ancient Olympic Games as well as by some experiences connected with recreational forms of tourism mediated through achievement-oriented sport (also by pre-Columbian Native American societies and Maoris aboriginal population of New Zealand). For example Hellenic Olympic Games were a highly spiritualized form of sports rivalry - including also rivalry in the field of art, and especially in the field of theatre. They were one of numerous forms of religious cult - of worshipping chosen gods from the Olympic pantheon. On the other hand, during mountain hiking and mountain climbing there can appear manifestations of deepened spirituality characteristic for the object of spiritualization of non-religious, quasi-religious or strictly religious qualities. I would like to explain - at the end of this short abstract - that spiritualism (which should not be confused with spiritism) is - generally speaking - first of all a philosophical term assuming, in ontological and axiological sense, that spiritual reality, self-knowledge, consciousness or mental experiences are components of the human being - components of a higher order having priority over matter. They constitute, in the anthropological context, beings of a higher order than the body. Spiritualism according to its popular interpretation means spirituality. Qualities which are ascribed to that notion in particular societies can be determined on the basis of empirically oriented sociological research. They make it possible to determine various ways of interpreting and understanding that notion as well as views or attitudes connected with it.

Purpose: Existing literature has uncovered many benefits of spirituality in the workplace. However, building a sound theory of spirituality in the workplace requires testing its benefits in narrower contexts. We test spirituality’s effects on employees’ well-being and the company’s relationship with customers in the context of the retail industry in Puerto Rico. Design / methodology / approach: We developed a model using Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square. Then, we use the expert debriefing triangulation technique to assess the validity and reliability of our sample of 131 employees. Findings: This research shows spirituality in the workplace has positive effects on employees’ well-being and the company’s relationship with its customers in the retail industry of Puerto Rico. Originality: Our model links spirituality in the workplace with two variables of (Heskett et al., 1994) Profit Chain Value. Although our subject has been widely studied, literature in narrow contexts is needed to develop a unified theory. We contribute insight into spirituality in a narrow context plus a quantitative model to be used when large samples are unfeasible.

Purpose This paper aims to understand water and wastewater industry leaders’ perceptions of the current and future role of workplace spirituality, including the challenges and benefits of incorporating workplace spirituality in government utilities. Design/methodology/approach The Delphi technique was used to gather input and gain consensus from an expert panel of executive level managers. Findings The panel achieved consensus that workplace spirituality is evident in a higher sense of purpose for those working in the water and wastewater industry which is likely to be the greatest future benefit of workplace spirituality in the industry. Other central themes included making a positive environmental impact, going beyond compliance, collaborating with the community, creating a connection to peers and encouraging organizational belonging. Consensus was also achieved regarding obstacles to workplace spirituality’s future role in the industry, including concerns about terminology and the need for supportive leadership. Practical implications The water and wastewater industry face challenges including climate change, rising costs, aging infrastructure, increased regulatory requirements and a rapidly changing workforce. Workplace spirituality seems likely to support the industry in facing these challenges and can be promoted through encouraging a sense of purpose and meaning, collaborating with the community and recruiting individuals with resonant values and sense of calling. Originality/value Workplace spirituality has received growing attention in the private sector. However, workplace spirituality research in the public sector is minimal. This expert panel of top leaders from US water and wastewater agencies provide insight into the role of workplace spirituality in the public sector.

This article argues that secular humanists’ scholars like postmodernists are developing great interest in spirituality as though they are beginning to have a positive approach towards religion and as though they are beginning to abandon their secular humanistic beliefs. Despite such positive approach towards spiritualism, they have not changed their position against religion. In fact, in the spiritual practices of Eastern religions such as the transcendental meditation of Buddhism and Hinduism in healing Western troubled souls has however no clear relationship with religiosity. In the same vein, Postmodern preaches that mental growth, development, inner peace and contentment are gained on a personal and individual level instead of developing a relationship with God. This kind of secularization to spirituality is absurd and confusing to Muslims who do not differentiate between the Western conceptions of spirituality and religiosity. Hence, the objective of this paper is to address the issue of spirituality brought forth by secular humanism and postmodern, by drawing the distinction between western secular conception of spirituality and Islamic spirituality, the nature and the significant of spirituality and the relationship between spirituality and religiosity and spiritual intelligence. This paper concludes there is a necessary and positive relationship between religious and spiritual practices and psycho-spiritual wellbeing and life as a whole. From Islamic perspective, no spirituality without religiosity. Spirituality is the essence of religiosity and they are undoubtedly of equal important and significant to understand the role of religion which is revealed from God, as a way of life. Hence, there is no good without God.
