At present, there is extensive experience in the use of sulfuric acid ameliorant for soils with soda type of salinity. The authors found that as a result of using a weak solution of sulfuric acid on soils containing sodium and hydrocarbonates in their salt composition, their agrochemical characteristics are significantly improved. The article presents the results that show that the production of fertilizers and ameliorants from the waste of energy enterprises will increase their environmental safety. The use of sulfur oxides captured from the flue gases of coal-fired energy enterprises as a raw material for the production of sulfuric ameliorant will allow solving a double task: to reduce pollution of the zone of influence of enterprises and improve the condition of lands with soda salinization.

The crisis conditions of economic development, the growth of the number of unprofitable enterprises, high level of bankruptcy and other unfavorable economic factors encourage the search for ways to improve the efficiency of economic entities and ensure their stable functioning. One of these areas is the provision of the economic security of an enterprise. The ways to ensure the economic security of enterprises have many features, so recently this problem has become a separate area of research. The purpose of the article is to determine and summarize the criteria and methods for the assessment of financial and economic security of domestic enterprises, establish the relationship between them on the basis of the analysis of existing scientific approaches. The paper presents the systematization and generalization of scientific works of many scientists, analyzes the existing conceptual apparatus of determining financial and economic security of an enterprise, and generalizes scientific approaches to the assessment of the level of financial and economic security at the macro level. The article analyzes the methods and approaches used to determine the level of economic security of a modern enterprise. The article defines the dependence between indicators of financial and economic activity of enterprises and a condition of their economic safety. The authors make the generalization of existing methods of assessing the economic security of an enterprise, analyze their features, and choose the methods which are expedient to the use in the diagnostics of economic security of a modern enterprise. The researchers analyze economic security of one of the largest enterprises of the Republic of Crimea – PJSC “Crimean Soda Plant” according to a set of indicators for the assessment of financial conditions and define the indicators and boundaries above (below) which the enterprise under analysis faces financial crisis. The prospect of further research in this direction is the choice of criteria (indicators) for the assessment of economic security of an enterprise, system of indicators charactering it, and methodological approaches determining the level of financial and economic security.

In the Russian Federation, since 2018, the implementation of the Federal project “Clean air” has begun, planned until 2024. Within the framework of this project, a set of works is planned to reduce the level of atmospheric air pollution and improve the quality of monitoring of harmful substances in the atmosphere. Our research was aimed at improving the monitoring of the quality and condition of atmospheric air in the city of Volkhov, Leningrad region, in the industrial zone of which modern production facilities are dynamically developing. Pollutants of 78 types are released into the atmosphere of the city from 13 enterprises. The total emission of pollutants into the atmosphere from these enterprises is 9.12 thousand tons/year. The most significant contribution is made by the following enterprises: JSC “metachem” (JSC “Apatit”) — 23.7 %; JSC “pikalevskaia soda” (LLC “Glatsem”) — 62.6 %, located on the same industrial site.

The article considers the approaches to building a circular economy based on the example of a functioning Russian industrial hub. Among the features analyzed are the specificities of the industrial symbiosis development of chemical enterprises and material flows that link different technical processes, namely the production of soda ash, lime, salt, and gypsum. This study assesses the pollutant emissions from the new technical processes and the use of accumulated chrome production wastes as secondary material resources. Likewise, the article demonstrates the possibility of direct absorption of carbon dioxide, as a byproduct of lime production during soda ash manufacturing. The study ends with recommendations for considering the aspects for the use of secondary resources in determining the sectoral and inter-sectoral best available techniques. Similarly, it sheds light on possibilities for optimizing the system of technological regulation and general binding rules application for managing insignificant environmental aspects of industrial production.

White mud is generally known as the residue of soda ash production by ammonia-soda process. The treatment of it has been one problem in soda ash industry due to the large amount of production, strong alkalinity and corrosiveness. In China, the treatment of white mud is stacking currently, which not only occupying land but also causing environment pollution. The main composition of it is the calcium carbonate. If white mud replaces the limestone as the desulfurization agent in wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (W-FGD) system, it can attain the goal of treating the waste with another, achieve the circular economy between enterprises, and reduce the desulfurization cost significantly. In this paper, the research of white mud in 660 MW Unit W-FGD systems was investigated. Study shows that the properties of white mud and limestone are significantly different. Because of smaller particle size and active MgO, the alkaline and reaction activity of white mud are better than that of limestone, results to higher desulfurization rate and lower running cost. However, the purity of white mud is lower because of CaSO4, Cl-, and other impurities, so the dewatering system of gypsum needs to increase output by about 17%; the output of the slurry feed system needs to be increased by about 30%; the discharge capacity of wastewater needs to be increased by about 23 t/h.

Object of research: optimization of the operation period of bicarbonate columns by optimizing their design features.
Investigated problem: increasing the efficiency, environmental friendliness and duration of the bicarbonate columns by optimizing the design of the sludge discharge unit.
Main scientific results: the article analyzes the main design features of bicarbonate columns for the production of purified sodium bicarbonate. A relationship has been established between the design of the apparatus, the intensity of mixing and the duration of the apparatus operation without stopping for washing. On the basis of the existing problems, laboratory and industrial experiments were carried out at one of the soda plants, aimed at increasing the efficiency of operation of the bicarbonate columns of the purified sodium bicarbonate shop. So, due to the modernization of the design of the sludge unloading unit and the identification of the optimal amount and month of the location of the mesh trays, an increase of 1.5-2 times in the duration of operation of the columns without stopping for washing was achieved. This contributed to an increase in plant productivity and environmental friendliness of the process due to a decrease in the amount of liquid waste generated during the washing of the column equipment.

In Ukraine there is a tendency to increase the number of man-made emergencies, which directly affects the state of the environment and the population. Particularly dangerous situations are formed in case of disturbance of objects with high risk conditions, which include oil extraction enterprises. Observing the state of the environment and the operation of technological equipment at such enterprises, warning of the risk of emergencies that are hazardous to human health and the environment, are the basis and task of monitoring. The results of engineering and ecological analysis of the state of ecological and technogenic danger on the example of private joint-stock company «Kropyvnytskyi oil extraction plant» are presented in the work. The main probable factors of its formation at each technological stage of production are established. The sources of environmental and human hazards are technological equipment and materials. Pollutants of land, water and atmospheric air are dust of vegetable origin and meal, solvent of hexane and its vapors, carbon dioxide and washing solution - soda ash, etc. Expert evaluation of the main production operation - oil extraction was carried out in detail. The extraction process is the main production operation for both press oil and extraction oil, as well as cake and meal. The results of the study can be used to clarify the program of monitoring the sources of technogenic and environmental risk at high risk facilities, planning activities and means of improving the resilience of the enterprises of the industry, preventing emergencies and minimizing their consequences. Awareness enhances management efficiency and minimizes environmental and population risks.

The safety of milk and dairy products as a whole can be determined by a comprehensive indicator - animal health. Thus, in accordance with modern international requirements, the farm where raw milk is produced for the production of dairy products must: comply with the rules of hygiene and veterinary sanitation; meet the requirements of good manufacturing practice; carry out identification and registration of animals; ensure proper documentation on the receipt of feed, hygiene and sanitation of medicines; to monitor in the pre-fermer laboratory the quality and safety of milk; compulsory registration of feeds coming from animals because of the feed that can cause human health hazardous substances (hormones, antibiotics, etc.); record veterinary medicinal products used for the treatment of animals; to record the occurrence of those diseases in animals that threaten the safety of milk. EU standards require strict compliance with food safety and quality requirements. The country, which cannot keep track of all stages of production, is closed to the European market. The analysis of quality indicators of milk received for processing is made. It has been established that milk from households has low quality indicators. Higher- and first-grade milk comes from agricultural enterprises. Milk quality means its high hygienic performance, the content of a certain amount of protein, fat, vitamins, enzymes, hormones, mineral salts and other substances. It should not contain any neutralizing substances (antibiotics, soda, hydrogen peroxide). The content of heavy metals, pesticide residues should not exceed the maximum permissible level. Therefore, the safety of raw materials is a guarantee of the safety of finished products in the domestic market and its competitiveness in foreign markets.

The authors suggested the use of maple syrup as a flavor component in the production of sweet dessert oil of a dessert type. Maple syrup is a sweet syrup made from juice of a tree of sugar maple, red maple, black maple or horseradish maple. Has found its application as an additive for ready meals and as a recipe component of sweet dishes. An important advantage of maple syrup in front of other sweeteners (brown sugar, stevia, agave syrup, honey, etc.) is that it contains a very small amount of oxalates and purines, and therefore does not cause food allergy. Thus, it also possesses antibacterial, antidiabetic properties, improves the functioning of the cardiovascular system, etc. The analysis of the vitamin and mineral composition of maple syrup showed a high content of vitamins В1 and В2, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc. The work was carried out on the selection of optimal dosage of vegetable syrup in the production of sweet and sour oil with flavor components. The mass fraction of syrup varied in the range of 0.5 to 10%. The optimum dosage is set to 8%. The technological scheme of the soda oil with maple syrup involves the following operations: acceptance of raw components; milk separation and cream production; pasteurization of cream; Cream separation and preparation of high-fat cream; introduction of maple syrup; normalization of high-fat cream; conversion of a normalized mixture into an oil; oil packing. The indexes of quality of oil of a sweet-soup with maple syrup are studied. The conformity of oil to the requirements of GOST 32899–2014 is established. The expiration date of the product packed in aluminum foamed foil has been determined for 15 days at a temperature of (3 ± 2) °С. On the basis of the data obtained, it is possible to draw a conclusion on the expediency of developing and implementing the technology of the sweet and sour album oil with maple syrup at the enterprises of the oil and fat industry.

For the last few years, a rise has been observed in research activity in Service Oriented Architectures, with applications in different sectors. Several new technologies have been introduced and even more are being currently researched and aimed to the future. To meet the goals of a successful SOA implementation, enterprises need to reconsider how they provision decision aspect. This paper puts forward one novel idea and architecture about how enterprises move to a new SOA which leverages with decision aspect. In this paper, the authors describe an extended Service-Oriented Architecture - SOAda for supporting a decision aspect. The authors also present our DMS meta-model (Decisional Model of the Service) to define a new set of concepts necessary for modeling the three levels: business, information and decision. Some of them are already known, whereas others are new and are proposed as an element of this work.

Industrial chemical plants of soda ash mainly adopted the ammonia-soda production process and the combined process (Hou's process for soda manufacture), during which the mother liquor was recycled and the exhaust gas purified and recovered, realizing continuous manufacturing. However, in practical operation, there was still a small amount of fugitive ammonia emitted during storage and transport of materials. To improve the environment, an idea of using ammonia-containing exhaust gas for process improvement was introduced: collecting the ammonia-containing exhaust gas, extract some of the thin liquid from the circulating mother liquor for preparation of pure water, from which the concentrate return to the mother liquor circulation system and the pure water for absorption of the ammonia-containing gas; dilute ammonia water that took in the ammonia-containing gas and the feedstock ammonia were again used for preparation of ammonia water for industrial use, which, at the service of the boiler desulfurizing installations of the enterprise, helped achieve internal energy saving and emission reduction.

Frantz Fanon's contribution to psychiatry is foundational and constitutive to the politics of commitment. This political commitment can be seen in the manner in which Fanon made psychiatric interventions to counter subjection which was inherent in colonial psychiatry. The argument here is that madness in relation to black subjects is subjection. As such, colonial psychiatry, instead of apprehending madness, served as an auxiliary of the colonial enterprise which institutionalised, naturalised and normalised madness. So then, the facility of the psychiatric hospital in the colony which houses black subjects – who are at the receiving end of racist colonial psychiatry – is in fact trapped in the colony itself. This kind of psychiatric facility cannot be clinical as it is contaminated by subjection directed to black bodies as things inherently plagued by madness.

One of main problems of modern society there is complex safety of the difficult systems of different nature. Today the problems of creation of the difficult nonlinear dynamic reliable systems go out on the first plan. It stipulates exceptional theoretical and practical meaningfulness of the use of methods of synergetics in a management the systems. An improvement of the existent theoretical and methodological going is near organization of control system by economic security of enterprise from position of sinergistical approach. An increase of multi-variant approach of development of the economic systems is reason of change of methodology of economic researches and a nonlinear economic theory comes on changing to the traditional economic theory. Invariants, non-linearity, coherentness and factorable synthesis, are the base concepts of sinergistical theory of management. Any socio-economic system presents by a soba complex of functional subsystems, that is bound by inter se the processes of intensive dynamic cooperation, exchange information. Application of synergetics showed in researches of economy, that most cases have an evolution direction of that through nonlinear character of connections in the system is determined by the action of insignificant factors basic direction of motion of the socio-economic systems, as a rule, informative, that prove in bifurcational processes. The condition of development and viability of any enterprise are maintenances of dynamic equilibrium, that are the aim of the system of economic security of enterprise — it’s attractor. By principles of management of enterprise economic security from positions sinergistical approaches are: complication, non-linearity, dynamic. The system of economic security of enterprise is base on principle of feed-back. Leaning on sinergistical approach, set forth raising of sinergistical synthesis of nonlinear control system by economic security. Exactly sinergistical effects that are characterized as management results in the systems cause the change of quality, and are the adequate instrument of providing of economic security.

This study aimed to know the integrated communication marketing used in food processing MSME in Pontianak City. This study was involving 100 participants chosen based on the purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used was descriptive and qualitative analysis. Through a descriptive analysis, the variable studied was described. While, the qualitative analysis applied in assessing the data sources, data reduction, and deducting conclusions or verifications. The result showed that integrated communication marketing that consisted of media advertising, sales promotion, and direct marketing are highly contributed to the food processed sales performance in Pontianak City.

Many scholars assert that the U.S. state promotes free market economic policies abroad through the leverage it wields within international financial institutions (IFIs), such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Other scholars have focused on U.S. bilateral aid programs, such as those implemented by USAID, and their emphasis on free market economic policies. In many middle-income countries, though, IFIs and U.S. development agencies do not maintain economic development programs. If the U.S. state cannot promote free market policies through IFIs and its bilateral development agencies, how does it promote them at all in middle-income countries? In this paper, I provide a case study of U.S. foreign policy toward Venezuela, a middle-income country, under the government of President Hugo Chávez (1999–2013). I draw on interviews with U.S. state elites, including several former ambassadors and State Department employees, and U.S. state documents to show how the U.S. encourages free market economic reforms through its support for civil society organizations that embrace these reforms. In particular, I focus on the work of the Center for International Private Enterprise, which has explicitly linked political freedom with economic freedom. Through this organization, the U.S. works with free market think tanks and promotes free market initiatives, all in the form of political rather than economic assistance.

The ‘Qasab’ case is designed to teach students about the characteristics of social entrepreneurship and the impact it has on the society. It also describes how sustainable development and social innovation are interlinked. ‘Qasab’ was an organization whose main focus was to preserve the traditional art of the Kutch region. The case describes the genesis and the journey of ‘Qasab,’ how it preserved the traditional art forms, and the personality traits of Pankaj Shah (the social entrepreneur who started ‘Qasab’). The case talks about the problems faced by the artisans in the region, which led to the formation of this social venture. Also, it touches upon the HR challenges faced by a social entrepreneur. At the time this case was written, ‘Qasab’ had become a collective enterprise comprising 1,200 rural master craftswomen from 11 ethnic communities spread across 62 villages in the arid interiors of Kutch and has been formally structured and registered as a ‘Producer Company’ owned by traditional craftswomen. ‘Qasab’ included different communities such as — ‘Mutwa’, ‘Sodha Rajput’, ‘Jat-Daneta’, ‘Meghwal’, ‘Sindhi Memon’, ‘DhebariyaRabari’, ‘KacchiRabari’, ‘Ahir’, ‘Halepotra’, ‘Sumra,’‘Hingorja’ and ‘Pathan’ — that had distinct embroidery styles and emphasized maintaining these styles (since the embroideries were an integral part of their cultural identity) — to preserve their unique identities. ‘Qasab’ was known for its outstanding quality of authentic Kutch embroidery, appliqué and patchwork products, its hallmark being traditional motifs reflecting the cultural identity of each community in contemporary designs through items of premium quality. ‘Qasab’ had made artisans stakeholders in the organization and was able to preserve the distinct art of each community. The case is based on the theme of social entrepreneurship and analyzes the process of the emergence of such enterprises, their importance and the factors that lead to their success and sustainability. Students can assess how these organizations are different from other types of organizations. The case should help students to find the parameters that show that social innovation and sustainable development are interlinked. The case can be used to study the business model of social innovation.

The expectations of students in the digital era of the Business Administration course and the concern with the preservation of the environment demand new performances from professors. The complexity of the problem provokes strong reflection on the teachers’ role. This study proposes the re-thinking of sustainable pedagogical practices anchored on a vast theoretical referential, articulated with the active teaching-learning methodology based on problems and projects. It describes the strategy of this method in an experience carried out in a higher education public institution, with the creation of a fictitious enterprise “PuffPet University Industry” by students, with the reuse of pet (plastic soda) bottles, in puff. Student-managers from the university industry formed an innovative ecosystem, learned to learn, to live together, and to integrate people using management technologies, sharing the knowledge of this production. This space of circular creation and academic production was achieved by the support of faculty members in the process of observation and listening to students’ desires, in the mediation of the learning process, which requires the appreciation of the subjects, their autonomy and respect for the environment. It encouraged students to play a leading role in their history, in the stake of emancipation, by becoming transformative entrepreneurial professionals in society, as environmental agents responsible for their actions.

The purpose of the paper is to determine the conditions for the maximum transition of fluorine from the technogenic raw materials of primary aluminum production (mature sludge) into solution under alkaline leaching. The object of research is the mature sludge, which is formed from technogenic finely dispersed materials of aluminum production in the baths with Soderberg anodes (tailings of coal foam flotation, gas cleaning sludge, electrostatic precipitator dust) and stored close to the enterprise. Analytical studies of the initial sample and leaching products have been carried out according to the certified methods using chemical, X-ray phase and titrimetric analysis methods. It is shown that, the main percentage of the three sludge components belongs to the dust of electrostatic precipitators (~ 79.7%) and coal foam flotation tailings (~ 15.8%). It has been determined that the gas cleaning sludge features the richest composition of useful components (in the sum of F, Na and Al ~ 63%). According to the data of X-ray phase analysis, the sludge sample from the sludge storage mainly contains cryolite (up to 78.7%), carbon (11.9%), calcium-magnesium carbonate from the dolomite series (4.44%), and trace amounts of corundum and fluorite. The results of the conducted experiments on fluorine leaching from the sludge sample by the caustic soda solution allow to estimate the main process parameters: temperature - 75–80°С, duration - 60 min, NaOH concentration - 3.0% (with the W:T ratio of 10:1 and a stirrer speed of ~ 1005– 1010 rpm). According to the analytical data on the chemical composition of leaching cake, the fluorine content in the solid phase reduces by 88.1%. The experiments carried out on alkaline leaching of fluorine from the sample of mature sludge formed under primary aluminum production by the electrolysis of cryolite-alumina melts in the baths with self-baking anodes allowed to find out that the maximum decrease of fluorine content in the sample is achieved under the conditions of maintaining the process parameters including temperature, duration, reagent concentration in optimal modes.

The article discusses some of the institutional constraints characteristic of urban municipalities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The main formal and informal institutions for nominating candidates for the post of heads of municipalities are considered. It has been established that when appointing to a post, informal standards for the selection of candidates are of great importance. The institutional and cultural environment from which the selection of staff for the post of heads of municipalities takes place is limited by the following general provisions: non-core education, gender inequality and the practice of appointment. The emergence of an institutional trap in the field of finance is justified, debt on overdue loans is growing, and consumer loans keep stability. All this is associated with a decrease in real cash incomes of the population. There is a decrease in the average per capita cash income of the population, which is associated with a decrease in real and disposable cash incomes of the population; all this leads to a high debt load on the population. It has been revealed that aging industrial enterprises and a resource-dependent economy in the republic, including the development of Shahan for the production of soda ash, shows a strong dependence on old institutions in the Russian economy and is defined as the “gauge effect”. Institutional constraints lie in the problem of the resource dependence of the old type of production. The greatest resonance in the public opinion of the republic is caused by the development of the Shihan by the Bashkir soda company. Production does not bear significant transaction costs for technical and technological modernization of production.

Purpose. Estimation of the impact of State Enterprise ‘Kolky Forestry’ pollutants emissions on atmospheric air. Methods. Environmental chemical analysis, instrumental analysis, computational method, generalization and systematization methods, comparativeanalytical, descriptive and cartographic methods. Results. The sources of pollutant emissions of State Enterprise ‘Kolky Forestry’ were examined. During the equipment operation, the following substances are emitted into the atmospheric air: iron oxide, manganese and its compounds, nitrogen oxides (in terms of dioxide), carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, substances in the form of chemically undifferentiated suspended solids, hydrogen sulfide, benzene, hydrocarbons, xylene, toluene, sodium hydroxide, greenhouse gases (methane, carbon dioxide, dinitrogen oxide, NMVOCs). The assessment of pollutants emissions impact on the state of air pollution is carried out according to the results of the estimated dispersion of pollutants in the air and data obtained via instrumental research methods. The concentration of pollutants in the atmospheric surface layer at the borderline of the 100 m sanitary bufferis as follows: nitrogen oxides (in terms of dioxide) – 0.18 MPC, suspended solids – 0.55 MPC, sodium hydroxide (lye, caustic soda) – 0.10 MPC. Conclusions. The estimationof pollutants concentrationon the basis of actual and estimated emission rates revealed that harmful substances concentration in the atmospheric surface layer does not exceed the maximum permissible concentration and does not have a negative effect on human health and the state of the environment at the borderline of the sanitary buffer.

This article aims at exploring kingdom politics in South Africa as a guerrilla drama, not only of a contemporary play of wisdom as human virtue, but specifically in the form of the personified Wisdom’s play (cf. Christ’s parable of the children on the marketplace; Lk 7). Firstly, it investigates the availability of hermeneutical space for such an enterprise, attending to the concept of rebellion vis-à-vis a scripture-based, imaginative, theodramatic articulation of the Wisdom’s play of the parable. Secondly, the public space for the enactment of such a ‘wisdom’s rebellion’ is probed. It should not be neutrally indifferent to, but positively advancing of, the nearly universally accepted ‘golden rule’. The public space should, in the public imagination, be seen and treated as a kind of public theatre, hospitable to a plurality of worldviews, each freely and imaginatively enacting its own political alternatives before the critical eyes of a democratic voting public. A follow-up article will attempt to outline the difference it might make to the human dignity of the participants (actors) and in their humane political actions (theodramatic roles), if they can imagine themselves as performing (not only theorising about and not only feeling passionately about) wisdom’s subversive play of God’s kingdom in South Africa. Hierdie artikel stel ondersoek in na koninkrykspolitiek in Suid-Afrika as ’n guerrilladrama wat die vorm van ’n wysheidspel aanneem; nie alleen ’n eietydse spel van wysheid as ’n menslike deug nie, maar veral as spel van die gepersonifieerde Wysheid (vgl. Christus se gelykenis van die kinders wat op die markplein speel; Luk 7). Eerstens word na die beskikbaarheid van ’n hermeneutiese ruimte vir so ’n onderneming gevra. Daarby word aandag geskenk aan die konsep van rebellie in verband met ’n skriftuurlik gefundeerde, verbeeldingryke, teodramatiese uitwerking van Wysheid se spel na aanleiding van die genoemde gelykenis.Tweedens word die publieke ruimte vir ‘Wysheid se rebellie’ heuristies afgetas. Hierdie ruimte mag nie neutraal-onverskillig wees nie, maar moet positief-bevorderend staan teenoor die feitlik universeel-aanvaarde ‘goue reël’. Die publieke ruimte moet in die publieke verbeelding as ’n soort publieke teater gesien en hanteer word, waar ’n pluraliteit van wêreldbeskouings gasvry verwelkom word sodat elkeen vrylik en verbeeldingryk, tussen die ander, sy eie politieke alternatief voor ’n kritiese, demokratiese kieserskorps kan ‘uitbeeld’. ’n Opvolg artikel sal probeer aantoon watter verskil dit aan die menslike waardigheid van die deelnemers (akteurs) en aan hulle menswaardige politieke aksies kan maak, wanneer hulle in hulle verbeelding hulleself nie net as denkers oor of passievol-voelendende deelnemers van Wysheid se subversiewe drama van God se koninkryk in Suid-Afrika beskou nie.
