The experience of Russian and foreign scientists on the use of soda waste has been summarized and analysed. A list has been presented of the major industrial enterprises involved in the production of soda salt both in Russia and abroad. Gaps in the use of existing soda technology solutions have been addressed. The main focus is on the existing and scientifically sound methods of recycling the wastes formed and the secondary uses of still waste liquid.

Abstract:
At present, there is extensive experience in the use of sulfuric acid ameliorant for soils with soda type of salinity. The authors found that as a result of using a weak solution of sulfuric acid on soils containing sodium and hydrocarbonates in their salt composition, their agrochemical characteristics are significantly improved. The article presents the results that show that the production of fertilizers and ameliorants from the waste of energy enterprises will increase their environmental safety. The use of sulfur oxides captured from the flue gases of coal-fired energy enterprises as a raw material for the production of sulfuric ameliorant will allow solving a double task: to reduce pollution of the zone of influence of enterprises and improve the condition of lands with soda salinization.

Abstract:
The crisis conditions of economic development, the growth of the number of unprofitable enterprises, high level of bankruptcy and other unfavorable economic factors encourage the search for ways to improve the efficiency of economic entities and ensure their stable functioning. One of these areas is the provision of the economic security of an enterprise. The ways to ensure the economic security of enterprises have many features, so recently this problem has become a separate area of research. The purpose of the article is to determine and summarize the criteria and methods for the assessment of financial and economic security of domestic enterprises, establish the relationship between them on the basis of the analysis of existing scientific approaches. The paper presents the systematization and generalization of scientific works of many scientists, analyzes the existing conceptual apparatus of determining financial and economic security of an enterprise, and generalizes scientific approaches to the assessment of the level of financial and economic security at the macro level. The article analyzes the methods and approaches used to determine the level of economic security of a modern enterprise. The article defines the dependence between indicators of financial and economic activity of enterprises and a condition of their economic safety. The authors make the generalization of existing methods of assessing the economic security of an enterprise, analyze their features, and choose the methods which are expedient to the use in the diagnostics of economic security of a modern enterprise. The researchers analyze economic security of one of the largest enterprises of the Republic of Crimea – PJSC “Crimean Soda Plant” according to a set of indicators for the assessment of financial conditions and define the indicators and boundaries above (below) which the enterprise under analysis faces financial crisis. The prospect of further research in this direction is the choice of criteria (indicators) for the assessment of economic security of an enterprise, system of indicators charactering it, and methodological approaches determining the level of financial and economic security.

Abstract:
In the Russian Federation, since 2018, the implementation of the Federal project “Clean air” has begun, planned until 2024. Within the framework of this project, a set of works is planned to reduce the level of atmospheric air pollution and improve the quality of monitoring of harmful substances in the atmosphere. Our research was aimed at improving the monitoring of the quality and condition of atmospheric air in the city of Volkhov, Leningrad region, in the industrial zone of which modern production facilities are dynamically developing. Pollutants of 78 types are released into the atmosphere of the city from 13 enterprises. The total emission of pollutants into the atmosphere from these enterprises is 9.12 thousand tons/year. The most significant contribution is made by the following enterprises: JSC “metachem” (JSC “Apatit”) — 23.7 %; JSC “pikalevskaia soda” (LLC “Glatsem”) — 62.6 %, located on the same industrial site.

Abstract:
The article considers the approaches to building a circular economy based on the example of a functioning Russian industrial hub. Among the features analyzed are the specificities of the industrial symbiosis development of chemical enterprises and material flows that link different technical processes, namely the production of soda ash, lime, salt, and gypsum. This study assesses the pollutant emissions from the new technical processes and the use of accumulated chrome production wastes as secondary material resources. Likewise, the article demonstrates the possibility of direct absorption of carbon dioxide, as a byproduct of lime production during soda ash manufacturing. The study ends with recommendations for considering the aspects for the use of secondary resources in determining the sectoral and inter-sectoral best available techniques. Similarly, it sheds light on possibilities for optimizing the system of technological regulation and general binding rules application for managing insignificant environmental aspects of industrial production.

Abstract:
White mud is generally known as the residue of soda ash production by ammonia-soda process. The treatment of it has been one problem in soda ash industry due to the large amount of production, strong alkalinity and corrosiveness. In China, the treatment of white mud is stacking currently, which not only occupying land but also causing environment pollution. The main composition of it is the calcium carbonate. If white mud replaces the limestone as the desulfurization agent in wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (W-FGD) system, it can attain the goal of treating the waste with another, achieve the circular economy between enterprises, and reduce the desulfurization cost significantly. In this paper, the research of white mud in 660 MW Unit W-FGD systems was investigated. Study shows that the properties of white mud and limestone are significantly different. Because of smaller particle size and active MgO, the alkaline and reaction activity of white mud are better than that of limestone, results to higher desulfurization rate and lower running cost. However, the purity of white mud is lower because of CaSO4, Cl-, and other impurities, so the dewatering system of gypsum needs to increase output by about 17%; the output of the slurry feed system needs to be increased by about 30%; the discharge capacity of wastewater needs to be increased by about 23 t/h.

Abstract:
Object of research: optimization of the operation period of bicarbonate columns by optimizing their design features. Investigated problem: increasing the efficiency, environmental friendliness and duration of the bicarbonate columns by optimizing the design of the sludge discharge unit. Main scientific results: the article analyzes the main design features of bicarbonate columns for the production of purified sodium bicarbonate. A relationship has been established between the design of the apparatus, the intensity of mixing and the duration of the apparatus operation without stopping for washing. On the basis of the existing problems, laboratory and industrial experiments were carried out at one of the soda plants, aimed at increasing the efficiency of operation of the bicarbonate columns of the purified sodium bicarbonate shop. So, due to the modernization of the design of the sludge unloading unit and the identification of the optimal amount and month of the location of the mesh trays, an increase of 1.5-2 times in the duration of operation of the columns without stopping for washing was achieved. This contributed to an increase in plant productivity and environmental friendliness of the process due to a decrease in the amount of liquid waste generated during the washing of the column equipment. Area of practical use of the research results: enterprises for the production of purified sodium bicarbonate of food and pharmaceutical quality. Innovative technological product: design solutions for bicarbonate columns and the technology of carbonization of soda-bicarbonate solution for the production of purified sodium bicarbonate. Scope of application of the innovative technological product: soda production, food and pharmaceutical industries.

Abstract:
In Ukraine there is a tendency to increase the number of man-made emergencies, which directly affects the state of the environment and the population. Particularly dangerous situations are formed in case of disturbance of objects with high risk conditions, which include oil extraction enterprises. Observing the state of the environment and the operation of technological equipment at such enterprises, warning of the risk of emergencies that are hazardous to human health and the environment, are the basis and task of monitoring. The results of engineering and ecological analysis of the state of ecological and technogenic danger on the example of private joint-stock company «Kropyvnytskyi oil extraction plant» are presented in the work. The main probable factors of its formation at each technological stage of production are established. The sources of environmental and human hazards are technological equipment and materials. Pollutants of land, water and atmospheric air are dust of vegetable origin and meal, solvent of hexane and its vapors, carbon dioxide and washing solution - soda ash, etc. Expert evaluation of the main production operation - oil extraction was carried out in detail. The extraction process is the main production operation for both press oil and extraction oil, as well as cake and meal. The results of the study can be used to clarify the program of monitoring the sources of technogenic and environmental risk at high risk facilities, planning activities and means of improving the resilience of the enterprises of the industry, preventing emergencies and minimizing their consequences. Awareness enhances management efficiency and minimizes environmental and population risks.

The safety of milk and dairy products as a whole can be determined by a comprehensive indicator - animal health. Thus, in accordance with modern international requirements, the farm where raw milk is produced for the production of dairy products must: comply with the rules of hygiene and veterinary sanitation; meet the requirements of good manufacturing practice; carry out identification and registration of animals; ensure proper documentation on the receipt of feed, hygiene and sanitation of medicines; to monitor in the pre-fermer laboratory the quality and safety of milk; compulsory registration of feeds coming from animals because of the feed that can cause human health hazardous substances (hormones, antibiotics, etc.); record veterinary medicinal products used for the treatment of animals; to record the occurrence of those diseases in animals that threaten the safety of milk. EU standards require strict compliance with food safety and quality requirements. The country, which cannot keep track of all stages of production, is closed to the European market. The analysis of quality indicators of milk received for processing is made. It has been established that milk from households has low quality indicators. Higher- and first-grade milk comes from agricultural enterprises. Milk quality means its high hygienic performance, the content of a certain amount of protein, fat, vitamins, enzymes, hormones, mineral salts and other substances. It should not contain any neutralizing substances (antibiotics, soda, hydrogen peroxide). The content of heavy metals, pesticide residues should not exceed the maximum permissible level. Therefore, the safety of raw materials is a guarantee of the safety of finished products in the domestic market and its competitiveness in foreign markets.

Abstract:

This paper shows that Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) systems can be developed at lower costs, less risk and with a faster time to market than a traditional developed IT system. The primary reason for this is that SOA enables reuse; by loosely coupled reusable services and business processes.

However, this is not the main benefit; still a great side effect. SOA can and should deliver good value for the business. The main benefit with SOA is therefore to create new and better opportunities for the business. Today’s rapid changes and fierce competition increases the importance of flexible enterprises; SOA has the ability to develop and modify services quickly which leads to flexible and thus winning enterprises.

It is important to keep in mind that SOA is an architecture, not a technology. Like any other architecture one finds value over time; long term thinking is important in the implementation of SOA.

This paper also covers a number of technologies common in SOA, and a prototype to show how these technologies can be implemented in a SOA system.

O crescimento do tamanho, complexidade e demanda por qualidade dos sistemas de software são alguns dos motivos que tem aumentado o interesse na área de arquitetura de software. Consequentemente, processos de arquitetura de software surgiram a fim de auxiliar os arquitetos na construção dessas arquiteturas. Arquitetura Orientada a Serviços (SOA) surgiu como um tipo de arquitetura de software para construir sistemas através da composição de serviços. Assim como o paradigma de orientação a objetos, o paradigma de orientação a serviços tem trazido uma abordagem de projeto distinta que introduz princípios que governam o posicionamento e o projeto dos componentes arquiteturais. Além disso, SOA é um paradigma para organização e utilização de capacidades distribuídas que podem estar sob o controle de diferentes domínios. No contexto empresarial, SOA permite que organizações, que tenham uma infra-estrutura de aplicações fragmentadas sob a administração de diferentes áreas de negócio, possam integrar estas aplicações no nível de serviço. Por um lado, os processos de arquitetura tradicionais não abrangem estes aspectos de SOA. Por outro lado, as abordagens de SOA disponíveis não satisfazem todos os fundamentos da arquitetura de software. Neste sentido, esta dissertação propõe um processo sistemático de arquitetura de software baseado em SOA que compreende os principais fundamentos da arquitetura de software e características inerentes a SOA a fim de guiar os arquitetos na construção de uma descrição arquitetural para SOA. Service-oriented computing is an emerging IT innovation. Among its manifestations is service-oriented architecture (SOA), an approach to designing and implementing IT solutions. Organizations adopting SOA are facing implementation challenges. Examining factors affecting SOA adoption at an organizational level can reduce uncertainty about SOA, its advantages and disadvantages, and implementation issues. This study uses quantitative analysis to investigate organizational SOA adoption in South Africa from DOI theory and TOE framework perspectives. Results highlight a number of factors influencing SOA adoption: use of multiple standards and platforms, complexity, compatibility, cost, top management support, good governance and strategy, adequate human and financial resources, vendor support for integration and development tools.

The thesis summarizes the history of enterprise application integration and shows the estimated benefits and risks that arise from attempts to harmonize corporate IT infrastructure. It also describes the main approaches to the integration and evaluates their resistance in terms of time. The thesis relates a modern interpretation of the integration of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), including related standards. Particular attention is paid to the life cycle of services in SOA. It explains possible approaches and key principles of communication layer integrated business application system in terms of architectural design. The last part of the thesis examines for opportunities, risks and benefits of system application integration within the SOA implementation and assesses the economics of integration and the question of the investment protection.

Affärsnytta är ett mångtydigt och svårdefinierat begrepp, men det är något som alla verksamheter vill uppnå.Uppsatsen avgränsar sig till särskilda kvalitativa egenskaper som definieras av ISO/IEC FDIS 25010:2010 under kapitlet "Quality in use". Uppsatsen går ut på att utvärdera de kvalitativa egenskaperna och om SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) bidrar till dessa samt inom vilken aspekt av affärsnytta. För att svara på frågan var det relevant att utvärdera begreppen Affärsnytta och Kvalitativ nytta samt definiera SOA.Resultatet fick vi genom kvalitativa intervjuer från fyra respondenter som har deltagit i ett lyckat SOA projekt och har goda kunskaper inom SOA och dess koppling till affärsnytta inom olika aspekter.Utifrån litteraturen och resultatet ser vi indikationer på att SOA bidrar till de utvalda kvalitativa egenskaperna. Resultatet visar även indikationer på att SOA bidrar till kvalitativ nytta och att det är en drivande kraft för strävan av affärsnytta.
Business value is ambiguous and very hard to define, but it is something that all enterprises strive for.The thesis focuses on specific quality characteristics defined by ISO / IEC FDIS 25010:2010 chapter "Quality in use". The thesis aims to evaluate the qualitative attributes and to find out if SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) contributes to these and in what aspect of business value. To answer the question it was relevant to define Business Value, Qualitative value and SOA.Our results are based on four qualitative interviews from respondents who have participated in a successful SOA project and have knowledge about SOA and it’s connection to business value in various aspects.We see indications that SOA contributes to the selected qualitative characteristics based on the litterature and result. The result also indicates that SOA contributes to qualitative value and that it is the driving force behind the pursuit of business value.

Abstract:
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architectural approach designed to provide scalable, resuable, and extensible software by dividing the software into self-contained services. Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) is an approach for data management that supports resolving ad hoc and complex multidimensional analytical queries. In this thesis, a case study for adapting these two technologies to an existing off-board train diagnostics system, called AddTrackEnterprise, is presented. The thesis also present a proposal for how to visualize the data contained in this system, such that it accommodates the OLAP approach. The thesis outlines the study of the subject matter and of the implementation of software for AddTrack based on these approaches.

Abstract:
Early European accounts document the presence of Labrador Inuit in northern Newfoundland, the Strait of Belle Isle, and the northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence in the late sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Controversy over the interpretation of the historical record and the extent and nature of Southern Inuit presence has been clarified by recent archaeological research on the Quebec Lower North shore, which demonstrates a series of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century winter sod-house villages in every major region from Brador to Petit Mécatina. House types are similar to those found on the Central Labrador coast, and all contain much Basque and other European material culture, indicating extensive trade contacts rather than the spoils of sporadic raids. The Hare Harbor Inuit settlement at Petit Mécatina is found at a Basque/European whaling and fishing station and appears to have been a European-Inuit enterprise facilitated by the Little Ice Age expansion of Arctic marine mammals.

Территориально-структурные проблемы эффективности использования природоохранных инвестиций в регионах страны недостаточно исследованы с научно-практической стороны. Об этом свидетельствуют экологические последствия и размеры экологического ущерба в результате аварий в 2020 году на Норильской ТЭЦ, химических предприятиях «Усольехимпром» (Иркутская область), «Башкирский содовый комбинат» (Республика Башкортостан). В статье предлагается методика территориально-структурного анализа природоохранных инвестиций и затрат региональных разноуровневых систем (городские агломерации, города, территориальные промышленные системы, муниципальные образования и др.). Предлагается типологизация региональных разноуровневых систем по совокупности экологических признаков. Предложены экономико-географические показатели эффективности природоохранных мер и затрат региональных разноуровневых систем. В качестве примера дан территориально-структурный анализа природоохранных инвестиций и затрат городских агломераций Башкирии и территориальных промышленных систем Башкирского Зауралья. The territorial and structural problems of the effectiveness of the use of environmental investments in the regions of the country are not sufficiently studied from the scientific and practical side. This is evidenced by the environmental consequences and the extent of environmental damage as a result of accidents in 2020 at the Norilsk Thermal Power Plant, chemical enterprises Usolekhimprom (Irkutsk region), Bashkir Soda Plant (Republic of Bashkortostan). The article proposes a methodology for territorial-structural analysis of environmental investments and costs of regional multi-level systems (urban agglomerations, cities, territorial industrial systems, municipalities, etc.). The typology of regional multi-level systems according to a set of environmental characteristics is proposed. Economic and geographical indicators of the effectiveness of environmental protection measures and the costs of regional multi-level systems are proposed. As an example, a territorial-structural analysis of environmental investments and costs of urban agglomerations of Bashkiria and territorial industrial systems of the Bashkir Trans-Urals is given.

This evaluation was designed to investigate if and how the GEM programme contributed to its intended outcomes – not only in the lives of individual women smallholder farmers targeted by the programme but also in terms of changes in their communities and the larger market system. It also sought to capture any potential unintended outcomes of the programme. This summary report outlines the key findings from the three individual country evaluations in Bangladesh, Tajikistan and Zambia - for which the full reports are also available.

The evaluation was designed to investigate if and how the GEM programme might have contributed to its intended outcomes – not only in the lives of individual women smallholder farmers targeted by the programme but also to changes in their communities and the larger market system. The project aimed to establish 84 producer groups for smallholder dairy farmers, and this was achieved during the first year. Building on these local networks, GEM aimed to deliver a suite of training and support covering assertiveness, rights and leadership skills, agricultural practice and disaster risk management. The evaluation was designed to investigate if and how the GEM programme might have contributed to its intended outcomes – not only in the lives of individual women smallholder farmers targeted by the programme but also in changes in their communities and the larger market system.
