This thesis describes the analysis of social security in the context of social policy. Main attention is paid to the historical development of social policy or social security and integration into the social security tax system. The aim was to confirm or disprove the hypothesis: "Whether Social Security tax or not." Attention to two major historical patterns, the European developments and the current situation in the area of social policy. Then you take the analysis of social security in the Czech Republic. In the last chapter analyzes income and expenditure on social security and social policy in the Czech Republic and the European Union. Finally, I concluded that Social Security can see the hidden tax, which is very favorable for the tax system.

Diploma thesis focuses on the social economy and social entrepreneurship. Its aim is to identify possible directions of further development of the social economy in the Czech Republic. The starting point for this work is the assumption that successful development of social entrepreneurship is dependent on access to financial resources, a good legislative definition and availability of the necessary information. The operational objective is to analyze the range of financial instruments available to social enterprises. The work is divided into several parts. The first chapter summarizes the historical development of the social economy in Western European countries and subsequently in the Czech Republic. The next chapter presents the approaches to the concept of social economy from the perspective of several European institutions. The chapter is also a case of good practice from Italy. The following chapter, in which are presented the main theoretical approaches to the social economy in the Czech Republic. In the analytical part of the work are first defined problem areas of social entrepreneurship, it is also stated range of financial instruments available to social enterprises and subsequently defined possible directions of further development of the social economy.

The thesis is focused on social housing - public policy, that is applied in many countries of the EU. Czech Republic is currently trying its implementation. Due to rising household's costs of housing, rising expenses on demand-oriented housing policy in form of housing benefits and difficult to solve social exclusion, social housing appears to be one of the more accessible ways of solution. The goal of the thesis is at first to analyze and evaluate known forms of social housing and its application from the economic perspective, then to form reccomendations for the Conception of Social Housing for the Czech Republic in the period 2015-2025 using comparison to already-existing Austrian model. This text answers the main research question how does functioning model of social housing look like and what are the economic impacts of it on households.

Questions relating to social services and social security are the topic of our time. These themes are actually for all age groups since they are currently affecting or them sooner or later they will touch.
The aim of this thesis is to answer the research question which sounds: "Why does Lata-Programs for youth and families, z.ú. and his program "Two are better than one" concluded his registration of social activation services for families with children in early 2016?" To find an answer, it is necessary to become familiar with non profit organization Lata-Programs for youth and families, z.ú., with its programs and its funding. It was also necessary to analyze the offered social activation services for families with children through the register of social service providers in capital city of Prague.
This diploma thesis as a whole includes knowledge of theory and practice and it is based on the legislative situation in the Czech Republic 1st January, 2016.

The paper is discussing German social policy with an emphasis on labour market policy. The topic is set into the context of European social policy and European employment policy. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part informs the reader about European employment policy as a whole. It describes its evolution and targets specified by the European union. The second part is devoted to German labour market policy with an accent on the extensive reforms of the last years. Subsequently, the evaluation of these reforms and the current situation on the labour market in Germany are described. The last part is dealing with German labour market policy in the European context: German National reform programme and a comparative analysis with other member states of the EU. At the end of this chapter there are implications for the German labour market policy. The aim of this paper is to answer the question: How efficient is the German labour market policy comparing with other member states of the EU with regard to the target indicators of European employment policy? What direction is it heading and what are the possibilities of making it more efficient?

The thesis analyzes the relevant methods of enforcement of debts to the social security contributions and evaluates the succes rate of individual procedures within the Czech social security administration. The first part of the work is focused on defining the theoretical background, as the basic concepts, including the basic layout of the social security. Furthermore, it presents the general procedure of enforcement of claims in the splitting of the administrative and judicial enforcement of the decision and the application of the claims in the other proceedings. In the analytical part are analyzed and compared different methods of enforcement, both in cooperation with court executors and tax execution, especially their impact on the development of receivables and collection of premiums in 2013 and 2014, and the effectiveness of various methods in practise. Based on the survey proposes some possible solutions leading to increased succes practices of individual methods of recovery and also to streamline, improve and speed up the work of employees who deal with debt recovery.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current situation of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. It emphasizes the importance of social economy, the field between the public sector and the private market sector. This thesis is interested in existing companies which consider themselves as "social" and describes their common features. It presents the social companies' founding years, what their legal forms are, their areas of business and why they consider themselves social. This paper also examines social entrepreneurship in an international context, it endeavours to identify where and how the Czech Republic could inspire itself to improve. Social entrepreneurship in Ireland is analyzed in detail according to the same criteria as social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. The purpose of this work is to create an overview of social entrepreneurship.

Na příkladech konkrétních států EU se snaží zhodnotit efektivnost a udržitelnost jednotlivých sociálních modelů. Blíže se věnuje současným výzvám evropského sociálního modelu, zejména pak demografickému vývoji, problému nezaměstnanosti v EU, udržitelnosti veřejných financí a globalizaci. V práci jsou také popsány některé reformy sociální politiky ve vybraných zemích EU a aktivity EU jako celku, které mají za cíl najít společné řešení problémů evropského sociálního modelu.

70 Resumé In my thesis named " Rights of a child within the scope of the social-legal child protection authorities" I tried to focus on the activity of different entities relating to the social-legal protection of children. I have chosen this theme because I think this problem is very important and each advanced society should protect and take care of children as they can't take care of themselves. The thesis provides an initial introduction to the statutory regulations relating to the social-legal protection of children, which are primarily set out in Act No. 359/1999 Sb., on social-legal protection of children. In the present work I offer a brief overview of the most important child protection institutes, with focusing on the specific activity of the public authorities and the private entities operating in this area. My thesis is conceptually devided into seven, logically linked chapters in which I am trying to demonstrate the protection of children. The submitted diploma thesis has been focused on the chosen socio-pathological phenomena in terms of socially excluded Roma adolescents. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part there I clarify first of all concepts as a social standard, a deviation and its basic theories, a culture of the poverty, I also deal with a delinquent and criminal behaviour in a context of the ethnicity, further I describe a social pathology in the Roma minority, a social exclusion of the Roma ethnic group including issues of social-excluded localities and in the end of the theoretical part I deal with an explanation of the concept Romany or the Roman ethnic group. An aim of the diploma thesis is to identify how Roma adolescent men and women living in social excluded localities perceive the social pathology. Because of the objectives and particularity of the research sample as well as the research investigation, I chose a qualitative research, a method of an interview and a technique of a half-standardized dialogue with open questions. The target sample includes 14 respondents aged 13 to 20 years. I addressed respondents in two socially excluded localities as follows: ? a dormitory of defaulters ? a dormitory of the housing estate type The result of the thesis is a recognition which phenomena are perceived by the social excluded Roma adolescents as pathological ones and which are their standard and whether they represent a factual standard for them or in what extent they have a personal experience with them.

The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters, the first is devoted to familiarization with the problems of homelessness. I deal with the social aspects of this phenomenon, such as social exclusion and associated problems of social inclusion in the second chapter. The final chapter discusses the possibilities of assistance directed at homeless people. The practical part includes qualitative research where I try by means of ten case studies to bring the fate of homeless people who seek the services of institutions, where they can find qualified help in solving a wide range of problems that may be the cause of their present situation. By analyzing data, I try to figure out what is behind the possible success or failure of such persons in the pursuit of social inclusion.

In the following text I will consider possible ways of using social theatre in social work. Studying connections between these fields is preceded by a brief introduction of chosen terms of the theory of social work and theatre, with definitions as the frame. The main objective of my work is the basic division of forms of social theatre and desribtion of its conditions in the Czech Republic. Social theatre as a self-contained system is not defined in the Czech literature yet. Comparing foreign sources and the terminology used in the Czech literature with knowledge of the protagonists' way of work were used to make the structure, so that the main representatives, authors and organizers could be named in relation to particular forms. Based on such a map of contemporary social theatre in our country using definitions and theoretical terms, the answer is offered to the question , whether theatre is a valuable tool of social work, what areas could benefit from it most, and what the specific benefits are from the point of view of values and objectives of social work. Socially excluded localities are found all over the Czech Republic. They are whole neighbourhoods, houses or streets, usually situated on the outskirts of towns, threatened by a symbolic, territorial, cultural, economic and social exclusion. The inhabitants of the socially excluded localities usually have debts with the town, which is the reason why they were moved to this locality. Problems that frequently occur in the socially excluded localities include insufficient education, high unemployment rate, financial problems and a high occurrence of socially pathological phenomena. Drawing on the facts obtained, it is possible to recommend social services that missing here at present. At the same time, the results of this thesis may serve to social workers as a detailed survey of the social situation of the locality in question.

V roce 2003, kdy jsem nastoupila jako terénní sociální pracovník do Poradny pro občanství, občanská a lidská práva, se pojem sociální vyloučeni zvolna dostával do povědomí české odborné i laické veřejnosti. Poprvé se koncept sociálního vyloučeni objevil ve Francii na začátku 70. let minulého století, postupně získával pojem na popularitě i v ostatních zemích Evropy a v 90.letech se stal součástí sociální politiky Evropské unie. Je to pojem, který se stal běžnou součásti této problematiky a to i z důvodu, že je vlastně doslovný, což může v samém důsledku vést k nepřesnému výkladu a k omylům. Důvodem je i to, "že termin sociálního vyloučeni neni vykládán jednoznačně a má mnohé interpretace (což je ovšem příznačné pro sociální vědy všeobecně). Různé významy jsou tomuto konceptu přikládány v různých národních kontextech a společenských perspektivách." The diploma "Accommodation social services as an instrument of social integration of social excluded people" deals with accommodation social services, focuses on Asylum. There are essential informations about all accommodation social services in the diploma. The diploma mentions concepts of social exclusion, social and culture capital, social integration and equality and equity as theoretical starting point. The diploma examines legal and other documents in the Czech Republic and within the European Union, which relate to the issue of social services for social excluded people. There is an analysis of one particular Asylum. The conceptions of social work had been researched in more detail. The diploma focuses on Asylum users and their unsatisfactory integration to the society. For this research was used the Asylum for men and mothers with children in Děčín town. The diploma mentions the reasons of admission of 17 users, who used the Asylum services in 2009. It analyses their reasons to come to the Asylum. And it also examines the reasons why they are not integrated to the society after they leave the Asylum. Which results in repetitional apply for Asylum.

Diploma thesis "Free concept maps in social research" deals with the possibility of using the free concept map technique in social research. To cope with this question, the author defines three domains of examination. The first one addresses the theoretical background of the research technique along with it's evolution from it's precursor - the mental models. Terminology used in literature and also later in the thesis will also be introduced within this domain.The second domain is dedicated to the introduction of our research, which used the free concept maps as a research tool. The analysis of data and their interpretations will pose as one of the conditions for the third domain - the comparison of the free concept map technique with the social survey technique. Research reports with a similar topics as the one we studied, the motivation od students to apply to university, will be used for comparison. Both techniques will be compared on the basis of in-advance prepared factors defined on the the basis of individual characteristics of each method. The outcome of the paper has the form of summary and critical analysis of the method.

This thesis focuses on the intersection of social entrepreneurship and community gardening. In the middle of both of these initiative is man, his wellbeing and the wellbeing of the whole planet. Both of these social and civil initiatives can potentially become places of social integration of handicapped people. Therefore, this work is paying attention to concepts of social exclusion and inclusion, social entrepreneurship and community gardening. Moreover, it deals with the notions of employment and work of disabled people. This theses also contains a program evaluation of a community garden and a social enterprise, Kokoza,o.p.s, which employs people with a mental disease. Looking at the case of this enterprise we can see that the conjunction of a community garden and a social enterprise can be a fitting solution for all the stakeholders: for the establishing organization, for the employees as well as for the community using the garden. Ačkoliv jsou Romové součástí české společnosti již několik staletí, postoj Cechů k tomuto etniku se stále ukazuje jako rozporuplný. V projevených postojích příslušníků majority vůči romské menšině lze pozorovat širokou škálu často protichůdných tendencí. Od aktivistické rétoriky zapálených bojovníků za práva menšin, přes romanticky laděný obdiv k životnímu stylu Romů, až po rasistické a diskriminační jednání, jehož nositelé řadí všechny Romy do skupiny obtížných a nepřizpůsobivých "spoluobčanů". Soužití Romů a Cechů je stále plné konfliktů a mnoho Romů se následkem neschopnosti zvládnout nároky majoritní společnosti ocitá na okraji. Na okraji pracovního trhu, vzdělávacího systému, ale i městské čtvrti či města, ve kterém dosud žili. This thesis deals with the social work in the context of early formation of family in socially excluded localities. In the first part of the thesis there is theoretical basis in which the basic terms are described and the main factors of social exclusion are distinguished. The second, empirical part, presents processed results which are chronologically divided into four consecutive chapters which follow the sequence of events directly connected with early parenting. Three-stage coding - open, axial and selective - was used. The aim of this work was to find out the reasons for adolescent girls living in socially excluded localities to start a family early, to summarize the opportunities of preventing the emergence of socially undesirable phenomena and to identify the key sources of support in managing child care. The main result of the research is finding out, that the most important influence on the circumstances connected to early parenting is undoubtedly the family and following its model. The mothers family and her partner are then the main sources from which can the young primiparas draw. The prevention of socially undesirable phenomena is adequate and appropriately mediated sexual education of underage girls and boys. Higher education can also be considered a protective factor. However the most important support of a young family does not consist in the amount and quality of social worker interventions but in the families the young parents come from. The families take care of the intergenerational transfer of childcare capacity and they are also involved in direct care to a great extent. So the family is on one hand a model due to which we can encouter higher birth rates of adolescent girls in socially excluded localities, on the other hand it can be considered the most valuable source of support for these girls. The present state can be considered looped and a solution is as uncertain as in the vicious circle of whole social exclusion.

The main objective of the thesis was to map possibilities of a co-operation among the intervention centre and other entities interested in helping to people threatened by the domestic violence. The current status was taken from the professional literature. There is described an issue of the domestic violence, types and forms of the domestic violence, its characteristics and dynamics, causes, consequences, legal framework of the domestic violence, its actors, entities helping to people threatened by the domestic violence and an interdisciplinary co-operation. The qualitative research was used in the thesis. A tool for the data collection was a semi-standardized interview. Questions were based on theme ranges concerning the examined issue. The research sample consisted of 13 workers of the entities helping to people at risk of the domestic violence in the Highland (Vysočina) region. The research showed that the domestic violence is a very wide-spread and still underestimated issue. At the same time it is seen a considerable progress in the area of the help to people at risk by the domestic violence. Further the research showed that workers do not exactly know services provided by the Intervention Centre of the Highland (Vysočina) region. Thanks to this fact there can occur a disinformation of people threatened by the domestic violence. The staff can determine the most often demanded help from the side of the potential service users. They can also recognize that not always it is about the help the intervention centre is able to provide. The research does not confirm that the personnel generally would be influenced by prejudices at their work with people at risk by the domestic violence. But they were certainly also in their professional life influenced by a personal experience with the domestic violence that acquired in their neighbourhood. The research raised a possibility of a co-operation among the intervention centre and other entities, namely organizing case conferences. This thesis can be used in practice for an acquisition or addition of professional experience related to the issue of the domestic violence and available provided services.

1 Abstract Migration has been an inherent part of population development, and due to its role in shaping settlement system and societal changes also one of the key research interests of social geography. Due to the political regime and the limited movement across state borders, attention was predominantly given to internal migration in Czechia in the second half of the 20th century. Conversely, international migration has only been coming to the fore of academic debate since the 1990s. Despite the broad diversity of aspects of international migration in Czechia and the fact that the city has traditionally been the environment associated with the majority of immigrant population, little consideration has been given to the deeper understanding of the relationship between international migration, the presence of foreign citizens and the urban environment, especially foreigners' influence on socio-spatial differentiation and on social environment of particular urban locales. Czechia is a specific case: a country which was isolated from international migration for four decades became one of the main immigration countries in the post-socialist Central Europe after 1989. It deals with individual psychological aspects selected by comparison of the specific literature and researches in that area. Chosen terms consist of social interaction, social communication, social intelligence and empathy. Social communication emphasizes social pedagogical communication which is used by the social pedagogue during the communication process with clients. Further, it specifies the problematics of social interaction as a basis of the creation of interpersonal relationships. The thesis defines basic paradigms in the area of social intelligence and social competence, especially it deals with the term of social skill. Specifically, it shows the skill of active listening, which is classified as a basis of dialogue with clients. At the end the thesis emphasizes the significance of empathy among helping professions, it defines models and theories of empathy. The diploma thesis focuses on social enterprises and their use of marketing tools for their communication. In its first part the field where they operate within the Czech Republic is laid out including the legislative setting. Since the concept is relatively new here, approaches and inspiration from abroad are a cited. The part dedicated to marketing introduces different approaches to marketing presentations and to the overall communication of social enterprises and social firms. The outcome of this was to portray the possibilities of their communication with their target audiences. The research itself looks at the communication of social enterprises from several viewpoints. First of all it aims to show the approach taken by the subjects of social economy themselves. This is done through questionnaires and content analysis of documents. Also the view on the matter is expressed through an interview with a consultant of NESsT, an organization which deals with the theme of social entrepreneurship. The last angle, which is represented by a questionnaire for a selected segment of the public looks at their view of social enterprises and firms and their communication.

In my essay I focused especially on the new Act on Social Services, which came into force on January 1, 2007 and replaced a regulation coming even from the time of communism. For a long time the previous regulation wasn't corresponding to the development of contemporary society, its needs and trends in social services, which were brought along with the revolutionary year 1989. A new law was called after by professional public, and also by the very beneficiaries of social services. The new law has been awaited for a very long time, probably longer than it had originally been expected. For a long period a way which the new regulation should take, couldn't be found; adoption process was also complicated due to the political situation. Many discussions took place about a new law. Themes that can be included in the area of social services are now more up-to-date than ever before. It is a topic that touches many of us, sometimes even more than we would like. Social field-work directly with families is most suitable form of social orphanhood prevention. Because the terminology is not unified, definition of the notions is presented to be sure what each notion describes. This thesis compares actual situation in Czech republic and Germany. Further describes legal regulations and state offices dealing with this problem. Describes used methods of social orphanhood prevention. There is not missing examples of good practice from CR, e.g. program "Aunt at home, kind Aunt in the family" as well as from Germany e.g. program "strong parents - strong kinds". The thesis tries to draw attention to advantages and disadvantages of both systems. Conclusion evaluates both systems and picks some points from Germany system, which can improve social orphanhood prevention in Czech Republic.

I tried to outline the issues of social services and its legislation with the fact that my work is marginally oriented to the senior citizens as users of social services. The first chapter is devoted social services in the social security system in the general and the interpretation sense. I focused on the concepts of social assistance and social welfare as well as I tried to approach them closer. In this part of my thesis I have mentioned the legislation of social services which is enshrined in Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on social services, and the implementing decree of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs No. 505/2006 Coll. This study is focused on actual problems, which came up after the new Social Services Act came into force on January 1, 2007 and its updating, from the view of one group of the user sof social services- seniors. In the thesis is important charter, which described restrictive measures issues. Legislation is inadequate in this direction and even in comparison with international rules, which deals mainly with the protection of human rights. Fortunately, the situation is improving and with increasing demands on social service facility level of care is improving rapidly. In this work we find an important chapter focused on the gentle self-defense, which uses techniques of Aikido martial arts in conjunction with the restrictive measures and self- defense, so that the intervention was friendly to the client, but also the most effective. The basis, however, is the desire to avoid any physical intervention of moderate means, such as distraction, and active listening are. I attend to this topic more in in recent years and I add my lecture on this subject in Annex I, which was intended for workers in social services. In particular, the provision of new social benefits - care allowance, contract for the provision of social services, registration of providers, social services inspection, defining of required qualified assumptions for the work in social services and, of course, financing the entire region. Main shortcomings of these institutes are solved separately. Of the many services offered the thesis deals with one particular - personal assistance, its treatment in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The thesis brings information concerning the non-profit organizations, primarily because they belong to one of the leading providers of social services.

My diploma thesis focuses on finding out what health and social services are provided to the inhabitants of socially excluded localities in České Budějovice. Social exclusion is a process within which the access of individuals, groups of individuals or a community to sources, positions and opportunities enabling the involvement into social, economic and political activities society, is substantially impeded or completely prevented. The seriousness of the situation is illustrated by the fact that the year 2010 was declared the European European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. One of the possibilities to deal with this situation is to provide health and social services, such as field programmes, social counselling, low-threshold services for young people and crisis assistance. My thesis aims at finding out whether health and social services provided to the inhabitants of socially excluded localities in České Budějovice are available, sufficient, oriented in the right direction, and whether they are used. At the beginning of the theoretical part, I made a brief definition of the terms social exclusion and poverty. Further, I described the main problem spheres of socially excluded citizens to which health and social services should react, and I also added a description of the current situation in individual socially excluded localities selected and of the specification of health and social services that the thesis deals with. The end of the theoretical part contains a summary of the theoretical part and subjects for my own research. The objective of my thesis was to survey the availability and sufficiency of services, especially in the health and social services offered to the inhabitants of socially excluded localities in České Budějovice. The defined objective of my thesis was achieved. To achieve it I used in the practical part the qualitative research, questioning method, the semi-controlled interview technique and analysis of the available data. Research was carried out in two selected sets, one of which consisted of inhabitants of chosen socially excluded localities, and of providers of health and social services in České Budějovice. The data obtained may be used by providers of services to consider an extension of these services. Further, it may serve as an output for an expert article or a basis for further research realised in this field.

This paper analyzes the content of the concept of social justice involvement in the broader context of the application of the principles of state social policy applied in the field of social security of citizens. The first part is devoted to the major theories of justice of the last century and their analysis in terms of the evaluation criteria of two most prominent schools of thought, i.e. liberalism and communitarianism. The paper describes the difference of opinion on the formation of a just society with emphasis on the difficulty of choice associated with preferences of the basic ideas of liberalism and communitarianism. The conclusion contains argumentative attitudes related to a different interpretation of the concept of social justice in the context of the degree of implementation of the principles of solidarity, subsidiarity and market mechanism in the field of social policy. What has become desirable in today's society is a necessity for legislative changes, but chiefly changes in citizens' behaviour and access to their own lives.

The secondary data analysis explores social enterprises registered at czech social enterpreneurship website as well as the groups they employ and compares different approches of the enterprises. The qualitative empirical research uncovers enterpreneurs' motives and furthermore explores connections between the types of social enterprises and the target groups they employ.

Social innovation used in the research of this work is an example of good practice, from the area of social economy, with lasting impact, which can be studied. This thesis analyses the interception of the social change in the social science and politically expert literature from a historical perspective of the post-soviet development of the Republic of Moldova. The first chapter introduces the main hypotheses and the research design of the master thesis. The following chapter offers the development of the concept social change in a larger context of the classical and new theories. The aim of the thesis is to find out theories of social change in the Moldovan literature between after 1991. The results of a content analysis will be presented in the third chapter. Finally, the last section of the thesis focuses on suggestions for the further development of this analysis.

The introductory section also mentions the importance of the family for the child and for society, the characteristics of the contemporary family, as well as divorce and its possible impact on the child and the wider surroundings of the family. In the empirical part, the work focuses on comparing the practices of social workers of the authority child protection offices in Prague with practices of social workers at the offices of towns in the Central Region in divorce issues, particularly in the area of investigation in the family. ABSTRACT: The thesis, in which the view through the sociological prism is enhanced by the lens of psychology, theoretically and empirically examines non-cognitive personality traits and characteristics ('Big Five', Self-esteem, Locus of Control, Willpower), within the context of the social and psychological aspects of attaining social status (influences by one's family, peers and teachers, and others), with a specific focus on intergenerational upward mobility and the identification of its sources. Research for this paper was designed as a combination of (primarily) representative questionnaire surveys among the adult population in the Czech Republic, and qualitative interviews with selected individuals who have shown intergenerational upward mobility. The principal aim of the thesis is to chart the development of social insurance in the Czech Republic and the sub-goal is to evaluate the influence of changes in the social insurance on social incomes of the Czechs. The practical part is at first focused on the development and changes of the social insurance in a social security insurance, sickness and retirement insurance from 2005 till now. Then there is a description of the development of social incomes in the Czech Republic from 2005 till 2009 followed by a comparison of social incomes with full incomes of the Czech inhabitants. Subsequently, a comparison of the social benefits with the disposable income in the Czech Republic and the European Union is done. In conclusion, there is an evaluation of the effectiveness of the changes in the social insurance system connected with the social incomes of the Czech inhabitants.
