Abstract:
Western Eco-socialist Ideas, combined product between the contemporary western eco-movement and socialist ideas, and important part of new socialist movement in the west, is the rising western social thought of the left wing since the 1960s and 1970s. Broadly speaking, eco-socialism can be divided into three closely-related parts, eco-Marxist theory, eco-socialism (narrowly) theory and the "red-green" political movement theory. Confronted with the increasingly serious eco-crisis, eco-socialism puts forward to build a harmoniously-developing socialist society of between people and nature, between people and people, and between people and society, on the basis of maintaining ecological balance, in establishing a sustainable model of economic development, health and peace of rational consumption mode, and aiming at harmonious interpersonal relationship as the main content. It throws light upon us in the socialist harmonious eco-construction for today. In reference to and on the basis of the ecological socialism valuable ideas, we aim to provide reference for the socialist harmonious ecological construction and development, and finally achieve China's economic, political, cultural and ecological and social harmonious development and progress, which is the purpose of this article.

Abstract:
The activities of establishing rules and regulations of the CPC have always been closely related to the development of the party, and the inner-party rules and regulations system has been steadily advancing around politics. To improve the inner-party rules and regulations system, the CPC has made great efforts: the initial establishment of the new democratic revolution period, the tortuous development of the socialist revolution period, the restoration and development in the reform and opening up and the socialist modernization construction in the new period, and the overall reinforcement in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. With democratic centralism at the core and party constitution as the basis, the inner-party rules and regulations system is an organic unity composed of the self-construction regulations, the inner-party leading rules and regulations, and other inner-party rules and regulations at various fields and levels. At this point, it has generally formed an ‘one-unitary, two-dimensional, multi-level and multi-branch’ inner-party rules and regulations system structure mode. The construction of the inner-party rules and regulations system needs to implement the party’s guiding ideology, adhere to the party’s overall leadership, serve for the general situation of the party and the state; maintain the flesh-and-blood ties between the party and the people, and promote the overall strict governance of the party to deepen development; adhere to and improve the construction of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics, and promote the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity. The construction of the inner-party rules and regulations system is always on the way, and it needs to resonate and develop steadily with the party construction and the party’s cause in the future.

Abstract:
In the Chinese theory of the "triple revolution" the three major stages of the entire period of the PRC's existence were named as follows: 1) the "revolution of the seizure of power", which led to the overthrow of the old regime and the establishment of a new one; 2) the "revolution of reform", which paved the way for self-improvement and development of the socialist system; 3) a "transitional or transformational revolution", which completes the primary stage of building a socialist society. The dates of the turning points of a revolutionary nature are considered to be 1949 (the proclamation of the PRC), 1978 (the beginning of the policy of "reforms and opening-up"), 2012 (the holding of the 18th Congress of the CPC). The revolution of 1949 was of a new democratic nature and consolidated a socialist orientation. However, soon after the revolution, during the lifetime of Mao Zedong, the leftist course won and all phases of socialist construction (the policy of "new democracy", socialist transformations and the transition to communism through the "cultural revolution") were passed in an accelerated mode. The program of market reforms and the "mixed economy" launched at the end of 1978 made it possible to increase economic potential and raise living standards, but resulted in a number of negative consequences of the "loss of the banner", i.e. deviation from the ultimate goal of socialist construction. The coming to power of the fifth generation of Chinese leaders in 2012, led by Xi Jinping, was marked by a significant adjustment of the policy of "reform and opening-up" and the implementation of a number of important social transformations, including the fight against corruption and poverty. China's "own path" can be seen as a transition from "state capitalism" to "market socialism" with features of specific convergence and growing socialism. Given the complexity of China's current internal and external situation and the difficulties of a "trailblazer," the implementation of the new strategy will be far from cloudless.

Abstract:
The world is undergoing a profound revolution in the technical conditions of production due to the rapid buildup and pervasive use of digital machinery. It constitutes a radical transformation in the scale and mode of labor cooperation in the reproduction of our lives. As with any other technological development under the rule of capital, the fruits of labor cooperation are expropriated from the workers and weaponized against them as vehicles of class exploitation, capital accumulation, imperialist domination, and militarism. Three ideologies accompany this revolution in capitalist production: disembodied technology, technological determinism, and the fear of the rebellious machines. Socialists face the challenge of appropriating and redirecting technology, turning it into a means of radical liberation and socialist construction.

Abstract:
This article argues for the construction of a new political economy based on Chinese practices. It begins with an explanation of the research approach of starting from practice, and from a distinctive mode of thinking that is akin to that of medicine, rather than Newtonian physics and mathematical logic. Then it discusses the present-day Chinese practices of combining socialism with market economy, state enterprises with private enterprises, the peasant economy with an industrial economy, and the party-state with the economy—all distinctive realities about the new Chinese political-economic system. The foil for the discussion is the long-standing hegemonic ideology and worldview of Anglo-American classical and neoclassical liberal economics and law. This article suggests that we employ China’s traditional dyadic integration worldview, evident in today’s practices, to arrive at a new integrative cosmological view that rises above both. To a considerable extent, this article is also a reinterpretation of classical Marxist political economy. What the article advocates may be termed a “participatory socialist market economy,” to be distinguished from a bureaucratized and controlling socialist planned economy. This is a system that is still very much in the process of formation, its particular content and characteristics yet to be clarified and specified through a sustained period of searching through practice.

Abstract:
In order to strengthen the moral education work in colleges and universities, this paper takes the software testing course as an example to construct the ideological and political teaching mode of the first-class courses in ordinary colleges and universities. This paper organically combines teaching content with ideological and political elements, and proposes a student-centered teaching model and evaluation system reform. It has gradually formed a comprehensive training model of in-class and extra-curricular, pre-class and after-class, promoting learning through competition, and improving the level of scientific research, in order to cultivate socialist builders with both political integrity and talent, and realize long-term training for students at different levels in and out of class. Judging from the two years of teaching practice, the innovative curriculum design has effectively improved students' ideological and political literacy, and the educational function of professional courses has been effectively brought into play, laying a solid foundation for students' further development.

Abstract:
This article examines how conventional studio production strategies were active in the construction of political meaning in the 1974 television play ‘Absolute Beginners’, written by Trevor Griffiths. Produced for the BBC anthology series Fall of Eagles, the play dramatises Lenin's involvement with the Russian Social Democratic Workers Party (RSDWP) and explores the contradictions between personal ethics and political necessity. Through close textual analysis and contextual discussion of other plays in the series, this piece demonstrates how shot patterns and spatial and performative devices in ‘Absolute Beginners’ supported the drama's socialist-humanist and feminist themes. Drawing on existing writing about the studio mode, it argues that the qualities of intimacy and presentational distance that it engendered were highly appropriate for the personal and the political dialectic in ‘Absolute Beginners’. While using authorship as a convenient category for referring to the coherence of Griffiths' thematic concerns and dramatic structure during this period, the article complicates notions of the television dramatist as author by arguing for the importance of visual style and showing how ‘ordinary’ studio form was operational in the play's political meanings.

Abstract:
Abstract This article investigates how cultural workers from the 1950s to the 1970s served China’s hydraulic engineering campaign in artworks depicting human resource extraction. Focusing on Tian Han’s drama The Caprice of the Ming Tombs Reservoir (1958) and Jiang Yunchuan’s documentary Red Flag Canal (1970), the article tells two tales of Chinese hydraulic construction to analyze the theatrical and cinematic aesthetics of socialist labor reform and rural industrialization. In China’s history of transforming water from a natural threat to a natural resource, Tian Han and Jiang Yunchuan represent the Chinese cultural workers who used their works to mobilize the masses to navigate the hostile natural environment and overcome technological insufficiency, portraying the body as corporeal machine. This mode of cultural representation went beyond revolutionary culture’s conventional task of reinforcing class consciousness. Instead, it aimed to generate and maintain the energy of the infrastructure builders to change the nature of labor in socialist industrial planning. The Chinese cultural works on hydraulic engineering draw attention to the materiality of the laboring bodies often ignored in current infrastructure scholarship.

Abstract:
Fighting against inequality and discrimination, Gandhi developed his famous non-violent resistance, first in South Africa, and then later on in India, in the fight for independence. However, non-violence was not only his “experimented truth”, but also an essential requirement in the socio-economic arena. According to Gandhi, economic equality was not to be achieved through violence or revolution, as communists suggested. Rather, a peaceful shift in people’s self-transformation, and the construction of Swaraj and Swadeshi were desirable in order to make a true socialist India, in a Gandhian sense. On the other hand, Gandhi’s theory of trusteeship has made a comeback in the 21st century along with a continuous discussion on sustainable development. This paper critically reviews and discusses Gandhi’s conception of Trusteeship and its worth as a sustainable and equitable mode of production. How does Gandhi’s trusteeship model put emphasis on the decentralization of power and sustainability? How is it still relevant in the late modern world? What kind of impact can this model of trusteeship have on the current problems of climate change and sustainability? Does corporate social responsibility partially realize this Gandhian model of economic production? Observing corporate social responsibility in the light of Tata Group and its obligations and accountability for effects on society, a new framework is formed supporting Gandhi’s model of trusteeship, which, as observed nowadays, is starting to have a global appeal.

Abstract:
Since 2016, a culture of participatory leftism has emerged on Facebook that has yet to be substantially documented. Scholars have established ideographic criticism of memes as a critical/cultural tool for analysis. However, there is little to no work on broader, systems-based analyses of alternative social media platforms, and the role they play in the creation and maintenance of political identities. These socially mediated communities, alternatively known as Leftbook (or Left Facebook), advertise themselves as places to learn about Marx, socialism and philosophies centred on labour, revolution and worker freedom. Research from traditional online group pages suggests there is a distinct split between neutral observers and harsh critics of Leftbook. These online spaces often result in odd, hilarious and peculiar behaviours that the untrained eye is quick to dismiss as meaningless Internet drivel. However, humour and satire have long been used tactfully by counterculture organizations/movements to communicate the absurdity of the status quo. For instance, Waisanen argued that unlikely sources of comedic rhetorical criticism creatively influence and critically reframe political discourse; guiding audiences towards new possibilities of insight and democratic civil discourse. Using Johnson’s explanations of memetics as a guiding theory, I discuss Burke’s various works on human paradox, identification, Dramatism and the comic frame to provide insight on notions of: identity performance, ‘slacktivism’ and burgeoning political resonance within this digital environment. I code preliminary themes of the post content of one Leftbook page, ‘Sassy Socialist Memes’, over the course of a month. My guiding research questions are ‘[a]s platforms such as Leftbook become environmental, how do they contribute to a mode of socio-political identity construction for members of the Left?’ and ‘[a]s extensions of political identity, how does the ‘Sassy Social Memes’ page impact experiences of political organizing and engagement?’.

Abstract:
New Marxism in Eastern Europe, as an important part of the development of Marxism, has rich theoretical connotation, and its emergence also has a unique social and cultural background. This paper mainly analyzes the causes of the emergence of neo-Marxism in Eastern Europe from the humanitarian perspective. The formation and development of new Marxism in Eastern Europe is rooted in the theoretical cornerstone of Marxism at the level of ideological origin, and its ideological and theoretical basis is the reinterpretation of the humanitarian concept in traditional Marxism. It also accepted the influence of contemporary Western European modern ideological trend and Western European neo-Marxism, which promoted the deep humanitarian thinking in Eastern European neo-Marxism. At the same time, the special meaning of the new Marxism in Eastern Europe lies in that it was formed in socialism, and it was a new Marxism that introspected and criticized the socialist construction mode at that time. It is also a neo-Marxism that absorbs the national spirits of different countries in Eastern Europe and is highly localized, showing different specific contents in different countries. Neo-Marxism in Eastern Europe is a philosophical system produced under the unique social background, in which the humanitarianism thought has promoted the development of Marxist thought, and made Marxism integrate with modern society. The criticism of the Soviet model also impacted the rigid system at that time, and after it was introduced into China, it also played a positive role in emancipating the mind of our ideological and literary circles in the new period.

Abstract:
The paper covers Ernesto Guevara’s views on managing the economy of Cuba which he expressed in the economic debate in the first half of 1960s. Participating in this discussion as a proponent of the budgetary finance system Guevara opposed advocates of the auto-financing system. During the debate he appealed to Marxist theory relying on original works of Marx, Engels and Lenin. From Guevara’s perspective, constructing socialism meant a transition to a qualitatively new system of categories among which centralized planning was the crucial one. Thus, this new system was utterly different from the one which was revealed by Marx in Das Kapital when the German scientists focused on capitalist mode of production. On the contrary, Guevara’s opponents highlighted that socialist construction could and should count on categories which functioned on the capitalist phase in order to promote efficiency. Being the Minister of Industries, Guevara brought his theory into practice at the production units that belonged to his Ministry. The author investigates several fundamental articles written by Guevara during the polemics, other sources the show Guevara’s vision of socialism and works of theoreticians whose ideas were used by the debaters. The paper also introduces archival materials (Russian State Archive of the Economy) that reveal some peculiarities of Cuban planning system formation.

Abstract:
In the historical context of the new era, socialist education with Chinese characteristics faces many opportunities and challenges. With the further deepening of globalisation and informatisation, traditional economic, cultural and technological boundaries are becoming blurred, while bringing about social challenges such as intensified global competition and the polarisation of the rich and the poor. As the world's second largest economy, China is striving to find a development path suitable for itself in the wave of globalisation. In the age of information technology, cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data are reshaping the economy and society, while the Internet and mobile communication technologies have made the flow of information more rapid, which not only facilitates the dissemination of knowledge, but also has a significant impact on the mode of education and the way of work. By promoting the "Internet Plus" action plan and the development of the digital economy, the Chinese government aims to improve governance capacity and efficiency, and draw up a blueprint for a digital China and a smart society. In the new era of ideological pluralism, China faces the challenges and opportunities of both socialist core values and traditional cultural heritage. China is trying to find a balance between inheritance and innovation, and to strengthen citizens' moral construction and cultural confidence. Such an endeavour not only enhances the country's cultural soft power, but is also a positive response to the changes of the times. At the same time, socialist education with Chinese characteristics is also placing greater emphasis on people's livelihoods and fairness and justice in the new era, and the public's pursuit of a high quality of life has become more intense. The rising demand for education, health, housing and the environment requires the government to pay more attention to livelihood improvement and social equity while promoting economic development. The concept of environmental protection and green development has become a social consensus, pointing to the goal of sustainable development. China's economic system is transforming into a more globally competitive modernisation and is seeking a broader space for development under the new pattern of globalisation. The changes brought about by this new era to Chinese education are not only challenges, but also opportunities. China not only needs to play an important role in the international arena, but also needs to deepen its internal reforms in order to raise the level of national education and contribute to the grand blueprint of high-quality economic development and national rejuvenation. Marxist education, as a guiding ideology, will continue to play an important role in this process, aiming to cultivate the talents needed by the times, promote the internalisation and practice of socialist core values, and ultimately realise socialist modernisation and the overall revitalization of the country.

Full text
Abstract:
Traveling in Russia and Central Asia in 1932–33, the German-Jewish portrait photographer Lotte Jacobi produced an extraordinary archive of several thousand photographs documenting Soviet industrialization, collectivization, modernization, and, most profoundly, the revolution's human face. Yet she never assembled a photo book or other reflection about her experience. Based on a study of the archive in its entirety, this essay tells the story of Jacobi's journey through the lens of her photographs, building a portrait of the worlds in which she moved under the auspices of the Soviet photo agency Soiuzfoto. It discusses her portrayal of a diverse array of workers, collective farmers, peasants, street traders, intellectuals, and political figures, first in Moscow and Michurinsk and then in the newly established socialist republics of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, where she was hosted by leading indigenous communists such as Abdurahim Hojiboyev and Fayzulla Xo'jayev. The essay theorizes some of the key problems that her corpus raises: the relative weight of political commitment and external control in its production; whether it operates in a realist or mythic mode; the extent to which it presents Soviet Russia's role in Central Asia as that of a modernizing state or colonizing empire, as its tsarist predecessor had been; and the critical status of what she called “types” with respect to the nineteenth-century racist “type” photograph. A coda considers Jacobi's belated return to her Soviet corpus for the first time in the late 1950s and early '60s, a period characterized by a post-Stalinist thaw and the nominal end of the Red Scare in the United States, to which she had emigrated in 1935 in the wake of Hitler's appointment as chancellor and Germany's subsequent transformation into a one-party dictatorship.

Abstract:
AbstractFrom the mid-1970s through the mid-1980s, a network of young urban migrant men created an underground pulp fiction publishing industry in the city of Dar es Salaam. As texts that were produced in the underground economy of a city whose trajectory was increasingly charted outside of formalized planning and investment, these novellas reveal more than their narrative content alone. These texts were active components in the urban social worlds of the young men who produced them. They reveal a mode of urbanism otherwise obscured by narratives of decolonization, in which urban belonging was constituted less by national citizenship than by the construction of social networks, economic connections, and the crafting of reputations. This article argues that pulp fiction novellas of socialist era Dar es Salaam are artifacts of emergent forms of male sociability and mobility. In printing fictional stories about urban life on pilfered paper and ink, and distributing their texts through informal channels, these writers not only described urban communities, reputations, and networks, but also actually created them.

Abstract:
In the context of the New Era, colleges and universities should always adhere to the leadership of the CPC, deeply integrate ideological political education into the entire process of talent cultivation, cultivate highquality talents with both moral cultivation and professional technical abilities through the “three comprehensive” (comprehensive, whole process, the full range) education model, and lay a talent foundation for socialist modernization. In response to the fact that the integration of Party building, ideological and political education in colleges and universities is not deep, in order to build a good campus political ecological environment, colleges and universities should take collaborative theory as the basis, party building, ideological and political education as the focus of the work, explore the collaborative education mode of deep integration of the two, and then break through the difficulties brought about by the development of the New Era. Based on the background of the New Era, this article elaborates on the current implementation status of collaborative education between Party building and ideological, political education for college and university students, and further proposes optimization strategies for collaborative education models which is aiming to promote the reform of ideological and political courses and promote innovative development of Party building.

Abstract:
With the development of commodity economy, loan consumption is becoming more and more common. Under this consumption mode, debtors are very likely to fall into the vicious circle of insolvency, which is a great obstacle to the development of individuals and society. The emergence of personal bankruptcy system has helped debtors get rid of debt difficulties and promoted a new cycle of social economy. The establishment of personal bankruptcy system is a correct way to conform to the historical trend. In the face of the vacancy of China's long-term personal bankruptcy system, this topic explores the basic way to construct the personal bankruptcy debtor's debt avoidance system in China by analyzing the obstacles to the establishment of personal bankruptcy in China, and analyzing the existing personal bankruptcy systems in the continental law system and the Anglo American law system. And based on the key historical node of the promulgation and implementation of the Personal Bankruptcy Regulations of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, we pay attention to the real situation of the implementation of the regulations to discuss the construction of the debt avoidance system of personal bankruptcy debtors in China.

Abstract:
In the new stage of urban development in China, the dominant way of urban regeneration has transformed from the traditional mode of radical reconstruction on massive scale to the organic renewal in gradual process on micro scale. During the practice of organic renewal, the concept of ‘micro-regeneration’ has been developed, aiming at local adjustment and micro-transformation of urban space through small-scale development and renewal, so as to realize space renovation and environment improvement. As a lightweight and practical organic renewal method, ‘micro-renewal’ has been widely discussed and applied in the practice of urban community regeneration in recent years. Campus is a special type of community, but it faces similar problems as urban communities, which is the mismatching of existing environmental quality, functions and actual use demands with the change of development stage. Especially under the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, how to improve the overall cultural atmosphere through the renewal of campus public space is an important issue. Due to the special ownership and use mode of campus space, large-scale renovation is not applicable. While, the concept of ‘micro-regeneration’ provides a possible way for the sustainable development of campus environment. This article takes the regeneration project of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music as an example, applying the theory and method of ‘micro-regeneration’ to carry out the practice of cultural construction of campus public space. In this project, in terms of space renovation, the creation of a cultural atmosphere in the campus public space was achieved through ‘small-scale’ detailed design; in terms of investment costs, the cost control of ‘micro-input’ ensured the balance between social and economic benefits; In terms of the implementation process, the precise deployment of ‘quasi-operations’ avoided the interference of large-scale construction on the daily operation of the campus. In the course of the project, multiple departments and interests were collaborated, which contributed to the whole process control of the ‘microregeneration’ of campus from planning and design, communication and negotiation to construction and operation. The research shows that the concept of ‘micro-regeneration’ provides a suitable path for the reconstruction of the campus cultural, which can realize the continuous improvement of the campus space and cultural quality under the premise of maintaining the normal operation. At the same time, under the concept of ‘micro-regeneration’, the implementation mode of small-scale, micro-investment and quasi-operation is relatively easy for the whole process management from planning to landing, which is conducive to the full realization of the vision of regeneration.

Abstract:
‘Rural community building’ is one of the most prominent policies of rural urbanization and village renovation in China. Since the nationwide implementation of this policy within the scope of the programme ‘Building a new socialist countryside’, the large-scale construction of new residential complexes has accelerated the transformation of the country’s rural landscape. However, extensive demolition and relocation have drawn increasing criticism, and the policy has become synonymous with the seizure of rural land resources by local governments. When Xi Jinping came to power, the new leadership initially appeared to abandon the policy but has eventually revived it. This article studies the implementation and evolution of the rural community building policy as a case of policy learning. The analysis of national and local policy documents and implementation practices in four provinces highlights a new framing of the policy, more intensive hierarchical controls over rural land use, and the state’s increasing reach into village governance, as well as new incentives for local governments to continue with demolition and relocation projects. These changes reveal a mode of policy learning in the context of an authoritarian regime whose goal is to improve policy implementation in the face of growing public criticism and social tension.

Abstract:
The article examines the issues concerning the perception and promotion of socialist ideas on the African continent in the 1960s and 1970s. The purpose of this article is to show how socialism was perceived and interpreted in African countries that chose the "socialist way" of development, namely Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Ghana, Tanzania, Angola, Mozambique, Sudan and Ethiopia. The author set the task to show the reasons for the failures in the promotion of Soviet socialism in Africa. Attention was focused on the analysis of difficulties and obstacles in the promotion of socialism in the economic, political and cultural spheres. The work is based on the information of a survey conducted by the author among representatives of the African intelligentsia from different countries, many of whose representatives studied in the Soviet Union. The research showed that, despite the fact that the USSR spent an active policy in Africa, developing economic, military, political, educational cooperation, it was unable to implement its plans for socialist construction on the continent. This can be explained by the fact that after independence, Africans developed their own views on the socialist system. Perceiving socialism at the level of ideology, African leaders could not accept the socialist economic system. It was impossible to fully accept the Soviet model, since it did not correspond to the realities of African life in many ways. The fact that many African leaders studied in the West also played a role. The materials contained in the article can be used in educational and training activities, as well as for a better understanding of why Soviet socialism could not gain a foothold in Africa.

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to present a means to utilise elements of post-modern theory in the process of renewing class analysis, to a point where the historic conflicts between class theory and feminism dissolve. In other words, I call for a post-modernist-inspired feminist and post- Marxist understanding of the class concept. From the multifaceted tradition of post-modernism, I have primarily applied the method of critical deconstruction of grand narratives, as well as its urge to question the classical dichotomy of structure/agent, economy/culture, and material reality/language. I start out by discussing the modern class narrative from the perspective of its founders, Karl Marx and Max Weber, and with a particular regard to the internal feminist critique directed towards it. I then move from Joan Acker, via Beverley Skeggs, to Nancy Fraser and Judith Butler. By way of reasoning with others feminists, past and present, I reach the conclusion that the most promising potential for reconciliation between feminism and class analysis is to be found in socialist radical feminism, especially with those who have put forward the important role of sexuality in the construction of the capitalist system. My conclusion is that we need a broader class narrative with a relevance for pre-/early-modern as well as late-/post-modern times, not predisposed to run in any given direction; including reproduction as much as production; status, culture, consumption and life style at the same time as hierarchy and conflict; counting both redistribution and recognition. From a post-Marxist perspective, class will be seen as a social construction – in the process of classifying groups, or in the way in which we talk and move in space – in a similar mode to the making of sexual difference or gender.

This article revisits the socialist city and argues for the validity of the concept historically and in the present. Looking qualitatively at this distinct paradigm in Europe, two analytical frameworks are offered, infrastructural thinking and the socialist scaffold. The analysis shows that the universal aspiration for socialist cities was their continuous operation as synchronized instruments of economic production and social transformation in physical space. Distinct from capitalist cities, they had an ideological role in an economic model that instrumentalized cities as nodes in an integrated system, described using Stephen Kotkin’s term, “single entity.” The agency of the socialist scaffold has continued into the era of neoliberalism, shown here to have previously unexplored roots in socialism.

Intangible cultural heritage involves a large number of national traditions, or folk unique knowledge, language, and customs, derived from folk dance and music as well as traditional medicine and other forms of art. China’s intangible cultural heritage plays a key role in the whole national traditional culture. Strengthening the protection of intangible cultural heritage and promoting its continuous development is an important way and inevitable choice to strengthen cultural self-confidence and build a cultural power. As the builders and successors of the socialist cause, college students must strengthen their cultural self-confidence and shoulder important responsibilities in the construction of a cultural power. Big data is a new technology in the Internet era. Using big data technology to realize the collection, preservation, retrieval, reproduction, integration, dissemination, and utilization of intangible cultural heritage information can better meet the requirements of the times, so as to provide new opportunities, conditions, and means for the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage. This article will discuss the use of big data to analyze the research talent training of the deep integration of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and art design education in colleges and universities. This article introduces the background and significance of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and educational integration, introduces its related methods, and then designs a new mode of intangible cultural heritage learning in colleges and universities based on big data. Finally, this article applies the model to college education and then investigates the students’ experience of the new model curriculum, and comes to the conclusion that the proportion of people who choose to like and very much like the new model is 69.3%; 83.3% of the people who chose to agree and strongly agree with the new model were helpful to themselves. In short, the application and design of the new curriculum model is still relatively successful.

Abstract:
This article examines the evolution of socialism as a political ideology, from its primitive origins in past societies to its contemporary incarnations. It opens with an overview of the foundational and universal principles of socialism concerning equality and common welfare, which can be established as the historical vertical of socialism from its inception to the present. The focus then shifts to the Industrial Revolution, with special emphasis on the significant contributions of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, who envisioned a classless society as a product of revolutionary engagement. The 20th century, marked by key events such as the Russian Revolution and the Cold War, witnessed the practical implementation of two versions of socialism: a hybrid one existing as ?real-socialism?, a competitive project to Western capitalism, and the other - also hybrid but in a different way - existing within Western capitalism, as part of a concession to dominated classes, in the form of the ?welfare state.? As a result of the global strength and desirability of the socialist project, this period was marked by many social and civilizational achievements, in both the West and the East, but also confronted with challenges of authoritarianism, economic crises, and democratic dysfunctionality. On the other hand, by the end of the 20th century, the socialist project - with the fall of the USSR - experienced a complete delegitimization in the West, while in China it was maintained in a perverted form. At the beginning of the 21st century, growing dissatisfaction with economic inequalities and political disillusionment, especially after the financial crisis of 2007/2008, reignited interest in an alternative socialist model, particularly in something vaguely and theoretically underdeveloped called ?democratic socialism.? The authors in the text argue that this renewed interest should be transformed into a theoretically and strategic-politically fruitful maneuver, constructing a new, radically democratic socialist project as the only project that emerges as a sustainable alternative to today?s socio-economic-ecological challenges.

This is a study of those Chinese political economists and political philosophers in the early 1950s who sought to distance China's transition to socialism from the Soviet model for development. Writing for the leading economic and philosophical journals, Xin Jianshe [New Construction] and Xuexi [Study], these theorists attempted to apply Mao's 1937 call for a sinified Marxism to their contemporary reality by insisting upon a national strategy for socialist construction. Their arguments provided a source for the later break with the Soviet command economy. And it is the emphasis upon Chinese solutions to national problems that forms a line that connects this past with China's present.

Retreat from socialism at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s conditioned significant social, economic and environmental changes for former socialist countries. Transformation from the centrally planned economy under the authoritative regime to market economy and democratic system re-structured also economies of rural areas. As a result, the conversion to capitalism constructed successful rural localities enjoying growing wealth whereas, on the other hand, other rural localities struggle with high unemployment, low incomes and following emigration of qualified people. This paper, on the example of rural space in Czechia, analyses time spatial development of number of jobs on local level and reveals main factors which have been constructing economically successful and unsuccessful rural localities in the post-socialist period. Based on this, six model responses to post-socialist economic rural restructuring are identified: globally integrated service-oriented, entrepreneurial, industrialised, post-productivist, deindustrialised and post-mining and energy-producing rural localities.

High-quality and equitable primary education services promote the building of a harmonious socialist society and are an important basis for improving people’s quality of life and promoting high-quality and sustainable regional development. Here, we take Chengdu City as a test area, integrate data from multiple sources, use the random forest model to simulate the distribution data of primary school-age children in Chengdu City in 2020, and use the kernel density estimation method and the multi-traffic mode two-stage floating catchment area method to measure the spatial distribution characteristics and accessibility of primary school educational facilities in Chengdu City and combine the imbalance index and spatial autocorrelation analysis, examination of the equalization of the distribution of primary school educational facilities, and the correlation between school-age population and accessibility. The results show that in the past decade, the population of Chengdu has grown rapidly, and the number of primary school-age children has also been increasing. The overall distribution of primary school-age children in Chengdu presents a decentralized pattern of “one point with multiple cores”, with the population decreasing from the center to the periphery, and the population distribution dominates the spatial distribution of primary school facilities, which also highlights the imbalance in the construction of primary school facilities to some extent (S = 0.257), which was mainly manifested by the fact that the central-eastern part of the city has more primary school facilities, while the western part has fewer. In addition, the results of both accessibility and autocorrelation analyses show that the overall accessibility of the central circle of Chengdu was high, while the accessibility of the second and third circles was at a lower level and below, with very obvious cross-regional and cross-circle differences. This study can not only provide more accurate recommendations for the allocation of educational facilities but also serve as a reference for evaluating the spatial equity of other public services in the city.

Abstract:
Ecological construction is a vital problem that China has always consciously faced in the process of industrialization. But in general, my country has not completely jumped out of the vicious circle of "pollution first, governance later". The domestic and international isomorphic dilemma of China's ecological problems shows us the fundamental contradictions of ecological problems. In this sense, the practical and effective achievements of China's ecological civilization construction in recent years are of special significance: the solution of ecological problems can be truly formed within the framework of socialism only through the reflection of capitalist modern society. Therefore, this paper systematically combs the construction path of ecological documents in the process of China's industrialization, explores the structural problems and international mirror images in the process of China's ecological civilization construction, and concludes that the achievements of China's ecological civilization construction are an important representation of the advantages of the socialist system. Combined with China's "double carbon" development goal and the overall policy of reducing pollution and carbon synergy, this paper constructs an industrial development path model, analyzes and explores the industrial green development path and its important enlightenment to global green and low-carbon development, which is also an organic part of promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Abstract:
Culturing college students' concepts of the country is an important part of the current ideological and political education work in colleges. The education of the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development, as an important work to enhance the education of college students' ideals and beliefs in the new era, contains rich and valuable resources for cultivating college students' concepts of the country. In the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development, the precious historical facts, heroic model resources, and historical law resources can be used for cultivating college students' concepts of the country. In the new journey of building socialist modernization in an all-round way, it is necessary to dig deep into the historical facts passed on in the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development to promote college students to deepen their understanding of the basic state construction and functions, and the heroic models passed on in the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development. The understanding of the national spirit and the historical laws transmitted in the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development promote college students to deepen their political identification with the socialist country with Chinese characteristics, and the ideals and beliefs transmitted in the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development promote college students to deepen their cognition of the country. Educating people with history not only has an important resource advantage in the ideological and political education work of college students, but also plays an important role in correcting and deepening the concepts of the country of young college students, so as to become qualified future socialist builders for young people, and build with a high-spirited attitude. The cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics is of great significance to promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Abstract:
One of the ethical tasks and practical effects of IT is bridging and spanning different locations, thereby “socialising” across diverse “geographies of understanding”. A dozen documented case studies use IT (especially Geographic Information Sciences) in distance learning. The underlying conceptual model of a network society combined with empirical research on long-term civilisational and economic evolution leads to a general understanding of Information Technologies as facilitators of a multi-perspectivist and multi-disciplinary construction of world views (m:n type of science). Such a synopsis of education, structural evolution, social spaces and institutional change provides insight into IT’s strategic role of facilitating consensus building and constructing common world views that can socially converge (“socialise”) isolated cultures of understanding. “Geography” is here seen as a provider of world views that emerge from communicative action. The presented cases in this paper span both geographic locations as well as constructed cultures of understanding.

Abstract:
Based on the combing and analysis of historical documents and newspaper images, this paper examines the early Soviet social costume style in the New Economic Policy (NEP) period, and the reasons for its transformation from the perspective of social history of art. The research shows that the dress reform during the NEP period of the Soviet Union experienced multiple model stages such as the paradigm shift from “simple imitation” to “self-construction”, and the discourse integration of “modern” and “national”. At the same time, the aesthetic discourse of socialist fashion, as the politics of aesthetics in daily life, become the mythic metaphor of socialist utopia in the process of constructing national ideology, social and cultural concepts and citizenship consciousness.

Abstract:
China has proposed two major measures to address the “three rural issues”: the first is to abolish the agricultural tax, which has been in place for over 2000 years; the second is to propose the construction of a new socialist countryside, which would mark the end of the old era and the beginning of the new. As a result, this paper employs in-depth learning technology to enhance rural tourism development and the creation of a new socialist countryside. This paper investigates deep-learning-based rural tourism and the creation of a new socialist countryside. Because MSE and MAE reflect the prediction error score, the lower the value, the better the recommendation accuracy. The MSE value of the machine learning algorithm is 2.456, the MSE value of the data mining algorithm is 2.324, and the MSE value of the convolution neural network algorithm is 2.102, when the number reaches 80. It can be concluded that the convolution neural network algorithm proposed in this paper has the lowest MSE and MAE values of the three methods, implying that the convolution neural network algorithm is the best of the three. The use of the convolution neural network algorithm to implement the scientific concept of development and the construction of a new socialist countryside is an important part of creating a harmonious society that fully meets the central government’s objectives and requirements for the construction of a new socialist countryside.

Abstract:
The emergence of Chinese platform technology, WeChat (微信) an application that singularly incorporates functions of messaging, social media, financial services and more, marks a new development in the construction of Chinese socialism and the Chi- nese nation-building project. What then of the Western critiques of platform tech- nology and their interaction with political economy: technofeudalism and platform capitalism? This article argues that these analyses which successfully critique the way Big Tech platforms have manifested as technologies for capitalist extraction in the West do not accurately account for the function of WeChat in China's system of socialist de- velopment. Notably, both platform capitalism and technofeudalism presuppose that platform technologies emerge out of neoliberalism. Arguing that WeChat's advance- ment and success is partly attributed to China's rejection of neoliberal austerity politics and policy, this article looks to WeChat as a potential alternative to Western modes of digital capitalism.

Abstract:
This article addresses one of the key dimensions confronting the Russian and Chinese revolutions, that of the agrarian question for the peasantry which constituted popular majorities in each of these countries at the time of their revolutions. In commemoration of the centennial of the Russian Revolution, two challenges are presented here. The first concerns the manner through which historical capitalism has ‘settled’ the (agrarian) question in favour of minorities comprising the populations of the developed capitalist economies of the centre (about 15 per cent of the total world population). Is the reproduction of this model of ‘development’ feasible or achievable for the populations of contemporary Asia, Africa and South America? It is argued that the agrarian question of the peoples of the South can only be solved by a bold vision of socialism. The second challenge concerns the strategy of stages which I propose as a longer-term process of constructing a socialist alternative for the populations of these three continents. As it must, the new agrarian question is the key issue to be addressed in the processes of building socialism in the twenty-first century.

Abstract:
On October 18, 2017, Chinese President Xi Jinping presented the blueprint for building a modernized socialist nation through the realization of the Xiao Kang (every nation enjoys a peaceful and affluent life; it is meaningless to eliminate the poor) social construction at the 19th Congress of China. Subsequent to the 2008 financial crisis, the world has moved on to the new economic status of the “new normal”. China has also entered the era of Xinchang Thai, which is moving from the high-growth to the moderate-growth phase. Therefore, the government of China emphasizes privatization, liberalization, and deregulation. China is also influenced by government policies due to the nature of socialism. This study confirms China’s current stage of economic development, based on Barro’s theory. Thus, we use a quantile regression model and examine the correlation between economic growth and functional classification of government expenditure during Xi Jinping’s term of office. Furthermore, we selected Korea as a comparative country, as the two countries have common features.
