Finally, the social engagement and self-accommodation to the social change build the resilient sales-force of the concerned retail organization. A conceptual model is developed that justifies the above outcomes, which is the major contribution or novelty of this study. Thus, the industrial implication of the said outcomes is that any commercial organization should develop the social orientation of their sales-force by developing their social communication continuously, which in turn enables the concerned sales-employees for better adoptability to any social changes, for insulate themselves for adverse social (market) conditions, and for productive social engagement in the marketing orientations. The said causal relationship ultimate give the return to the organization in the form of resilient sales-force. And, social implication refers that the society will be aware of the truth regarding the functioning of sales-functions of organization in the context of social contribution of those organizations.

Abstract:
This article conceptualizes a new area for social marketing practitioners by focusing on individual behavior change that might occur within organizations. Organization-Based Social Marketing (OBSM) draws from organization change theory and internal marketing theory, while maintaining social marketing’s focus on beneficial behavior modification. The article argues that as such, OBSM represents a viable approach for organizations seeking to address the increasing demand for change strategies that promote proenvironmental behavior among their employees.

Abstract:
Online platforms, such as Meetup and Plancast, have recently become popular for planning gatherings and event organization. However, there is a surprising lack of studies on how to effectively and efficiently organize social events for a large group of people through those platforms. This thesis provides the first systematic study on key computational problem involved in organization of social events. We understand the Social Event Organization problem as assigning a set of events for a group of users to attend, where the users are socially connected with each other and have innate levels of interest in those events. We then introduce a set of formal definition of a restricted version of the problem and show that it is NP-hard and is hard to approximate. We propose efficient heuristic algorithms that improve upon simple greedy algorithms by incorporating the notion of phantom events and by using look-ahead estimation. Using synthetic datasets and three real datasets including those from the platforms Meetup and Plancast, we experimentally demonstrate that our greedy heuristics are scalable and furthermore outperform the baseline algorithms significantly in terms of achieving superior social welfare.

Abstract:

Chapter 1 studies the optimal strategies of a monopolist selling a good to consumers who engage in word of mouth communication. The monopolist uses the price it charges to influence both the proportion of the population that is willing to purchase the good and the pattern of communication that takes place within the social network. I find a number of results: (i) demand is more elastic in the presence of word of mouth; (ii) the monopolist reduces the price to induce additional word of mouth for regular goods, however for goods whose valuation is greater for well connected individuals the price may, in fact, be greater; (iii) the optimal pattern of diffusion involves introductory prices which vary up and down; and (iv) exclusive (high priced) products will optimally target advertising towards individuals with many friends whereas common (low priced) products will target individuals with fewer friends. Chapter 2 presents a model of friendship formation in a social network. During each period a new player enters the social network, this player searches for and forms friendships with the existing population and all individuals play a prisoner's dilemma game with each of their friends. The set of friendships a player forms reveals some information to a friend about how likely she is to subsequently cooperate. Cooperative types are able to separate themselves from uncooperative types by becoming friends with people who know one another.
(cont.) The threat of communication amongst people who know one another prevents an uncooperative type mimicking a cooperative type. Chapter 3 analyzes the effects of policies which support electricity generation from intermittent technologies (wind, solar). I find that intermittent generation is a substitute for baseload technologies but may be complementary or substitutable for peaking/intermediate technologies. I characterize the long run implications of this for carbon emissions.

Abstract:
Social networks like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn offer the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with friends and family in our personal life through the social technology without seeing each other on daily bases. This different approach is already common to be used for the majority of people and brings new benefits to now-a-day global environment. The same users of these external social networks are working in companies with various internal collaboration and communication tools. This fact has become stimulus for the theory of using social network technologies inside of the organization called Social Business. Social Business brings multiple new benefits for the organization, which were not possible to be gain through the previous approaches of communication and collaboration. In the present work we study the process of transforming organization into Social Business.

Abstract:
The primary purpose of this study is to explore financial management strategies among administrators of small nonprofit social services organizations. This study addresses the gap in empirical literature with a specific focus on small nonprofit organizations. This study avers that the available literature on social service organizations is fundamentally flawed. It argues for a reevaluation of the available literature based on apparent errors in methodology and research design. The literature reveals that nonprofit organizational empirical research excludes small nonprofit organizations and disproportionately presents a representation of large- and medium-sized nonprofit organizations as the norm for social service organizational financial operations. Previous studies that explore nonprofit organizational sustainability select organizations with annual revenues or assets at a minimum of $100,000. Furthermore, the empirical research excludes small non-profit organizations by design and offers findings that include generalizations that are erroneously attributable to all nonprofit organizations. This dissertation outlines the aforementioned errors in the first two chapters. In order to appropriately investigate the aforementioned, this study draws upon the Afrocentric Perspective to supplement the dominate focus of the available literature on small nonprofit financial management. In chapter three, this study explains the study’s design rationale and presents this study’s significance to the field of social work administration. Additionally, chapter three elucidates this study’s contributions to nonprofit social service organizational research and knowledge. The research questions consider possible correlations between small nonprofit organizations’ sustainability strategies and social work mangers’ education and experience. The study’s research questions also consider how financial management strategies affect organizational sustainability. The research design notation O occurs through the developed questionnaire titled “Nonprofit Organization Sustainability Survey.” Statistical procedures examined grouped questions by themed content and computed the group variables scales: financial management, business experience, educational influence, organization sustainability strategies, entrepreneur activities, and budget planning. More than two-thirds of respondents reported that they had experiences with establishing a nonprofit organization; however, they are more comfortable working with clients than conducting financial management tasks. Additionally, while nearly all of the respondents believed that they can secure funding for the organization, 60% reported that their organization had challenges with securing funding.

Abstract:
This thesis applies game theoretic tools to the investigation of the dynamic effects of several forms of local interaction externalities. It consists of three chapters. The first, "Competition and Reputation", is devoted to study repeated interaction among oligopolits in markets with asymmetric information. The second, "Trade Policy and Industrial Structure", focuses on interaction among monopolistic competitors facing foreign competition, and on their learning externalities. The third, "Economic Growth and Social Development", investigates the patterns of private and social capital accumulation, arising from individual choices in an environment with social interaction externalities.

The prolific use of social media tools such as blogs and wikis is leading several organizations to adopt these tools. However, success of social media depends on its use by employees to share and seek knowledge. Based on a unique data set obtained from a large multi-national corporation, I examined three different aspects of knowledge seeking and sharing. First, I investigated two-sided network externalities on seeking and sharing. My analysis shows that significant network externalities occur not only at the demand side, which has been the primary focus in prior literature, but also at the supply as well as cross-sides (from supply to demand as well as from demand to supply). Second, I also explored the impact of hierarchical and geographical distribution on knowledge seeking and sharing. My results show that how a firm is structurally organized can yield different influences on the use of corporate social media based on whether the employee is seeking or sharing. Finally, I investigated the impact of social capital. New insights are captured in how different dimensions of social capital influence employee use of corporate social media for seeking and sharing knowledge within the organization.

Abstract:
The monograph is a continuation of the monograph by L.G. Pochebut, A.L. Sventsitsky, L.V. Mararitsa, T.V. Kazantseva, I.V. Kuznetsova "Social capital of personality" (Moscow: INFRA-M, 2014). It contains the theory, methodology and empirical studies of the social capital of organizations. The scientific literature on the problems of social capital of organizations is analyzed. The theory of social capital and research methodology developed by the authors are presented, and empirical research results are presented. The main attention is paid to the socio-psychological approach describing social capital as a system of relationships between employees of an organization. Four aspects of the study of social capital are considered: resource, network, economic and socio-psychological. A methodology for studying social capital has been developed, a socio-psychological methodology "Components of an organization's social capital" and a questionnaire "Personality Networking strategies" have been created. For sociologists, managers, heads of firms and corporations, teachers and researchers, all whose work is related to the management of employee relationships in organizations.

Abstract:
Background: The volunteer movement in Ukraine, which has always intensified in times of greatest threat, has since February 24, 2022, accumulated the efforts of volunteers, directing all their efforts to help the army. This has led to an increase in the number of volunteer organizations helping the military. The social demand and the needs they respond to set high expectations for volunteers. In such circumstances, volunteer organizations must pay special attention to the organization of volunteer activities. The question arises: how do volunteer organizations working to help the military cope with the risks and challenges that have arisen in connection with a full-scale war? The lack of qualitative knowledge about how they organize activities, engage volunteers, and keep them motivated, what are the peculiarities of communication and evaluation of their work, etc. determines the applied significance of the study, the results of which are reflected in the abstracts. Objective: To find out the peculiarities of management of volunteer organizations in the field of assistance to the military in war and to identify ways to strengthen their organizational capacity. Methods: The research was qualitative in nature. The theoretical method of the study was to analyze documents on the topic of volunteer management. The main method of empirical research was a structured interview with representatives of volunteer organizations working to help the military, aimed at studying: the content of volunteers' work, the risks of working in war, the difficulties of conducting activities, the peculiarities of volunteer management, assessment of the organization's capacity and ways to strengthen it. To process the results, we analyzed and compared the content of the respondents' answers. Results: Volunteer organizations working to help the military are different from others and have their own special internal organization. During the war, they faced a number of challenges, the answer to which is determined by the specifics of volunteer management of different types of organizations. The article reveals differences in the work of old (those that functioned before the full- scale invasion) and newly created volunteer organizations. The key factors that weaken the capacity of a volunteer organization include internal (misconceptions about management, in particular, about engaging volunteers in work, organizing their activities and motivation, ignoring the risks of burnout, insufficient communication with former volunteers, etc.) and external (decline in active involvement of volunteers, people's distrust of the organization and the organization – of the state authorities, legal insecurity of volunteers, funding risks, chronic stress). Conclusion: Since the outbreak of full-scale war, the activities of organizations that help the military have changed dramatically, and these changes can be recorded in a certain sequence: 1) a new stage of development; 2) a decline in activity (a decrease in the number of contributions and people); 3) transformation of approaches to volunteer management, including resource mobilization. Volunteer organizations, regardless of their type, need to strengthen their capacity in such areas as developing internal policies, facilitating strategic planning, developing an organizational structure, and maintaining staff motivation and development. Older and younger organizations have different needs for strengthening their advocacy and communication capacities. One of the ways to strengthen the organizational capacity of volunteer organizations can be training aimed at overcoming false stereotypes about volunteer management. Keywords: volunteer activity, volunteer management, war, volunteering to help the military.

Abstract:
Organizations do not function in isolation in society. On the part of society, it is expected that organizations will work in the interest of society and have a sense of obligation to it, to be concerned with solving the problems they have caused. Therefore, the organization should have ethical standards and practice a solid organizational culture and social responsibility to ensure the sustainability and success of the business. The paper aims to address social responsibility and business ethics concerns by building the framework of relationships between social responsibility (SR) and organizational ethics (OE) and determining the moderating effects of organization's reputation (OR), organizational communication (OCm), employee engagement (EE), and organizational culture (OCt). Following structural equation modeling, the paper determines the relationships between the variables and the moderators between these variables. The research results show that CR and OCt strongly moderate the relationship between SR and BE, while OCm and OCm slightly moderate the relationship between SR and OE.

Abstract:
Background: Social changes associated with martial law, created new conditions for the work of organizations of various industries and forms of ownership in Ukraine, including state and non-state social agencies. In these conditions organizations must use innovative approaches and technologies to solve the tasks, as well as constantly reflect on their own activities, look for perspective strategies for its development. Purpose: To determine strategies for the activities of social agencies in Ukraine under martial law. Methods: To achieve the goal, the methods of theoretical analysis, as well as the methodology of qualitative analysis of empirical data, were used. The semi-standardized interview method was used as the main method of data collection. Also, to analyze the strategic position of social agencies in Ukraine and develop strategic options, strategic planning methods were used, in particular, the SWOT analysis method and the TOWS matrix. Results: It is provided an overview of the results of a survey of managers and leading specialists of social agencies in Kharkiv city and some regions of Ukraine, which was conducted in November 2022 as part of the research work on the topic "Actual trends in the management of social agencies" of the Department of Sociology of Management and Social Work of the Sociology School of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University with the participation of students of the 4th year who are studying in the specialty Social work. Within the framework of the study, respondents were asked to answer 4 classic SWOT-analysis questions: to name the internal features of the organization that significantly contribute to its activity, as well as those that significantly hinder its activity; to name the external conditions that can significantly contribute to the development of the organization's activity, as well as those that can significantly threaten its activity. Conclusions: Based on the use of generalized information about the strategic position of organizations, which was obtained as a result of the SWOT analysis, the TOWS matrix was applied, which made it possible to generate and characterize four possible strategies for the development of social agencies in Ukraine. Two of them are focused on using existing opportunities or overcoming threats that exist in the external environment, based on their strengths. The other two strategies are aimed at getting rid of their weaknesses or reducing their impact on the organization's activities. The article also concludes that the choice of one or another strategic option is directly determined by the specifics of the internal and external environment of a particular organization and may become the subject of further research. Keywords: social agency, strategic planning, strategy, SWOT analysis, TOWS matrix.

Abstract:
After the financial-economic crisis of 2008 there has been an increasing diffusion of discourses by international institutions stressing the necessity towards the adoption of impact evaluation methods both by for profit and SSE organizations. This craze for impact measurement is generally led by the need of the stock exchange to find new financial markets (demand) for an increasing offer of socially or environmentally oriented financial products (such as the Social Impact Bond). This pressure had the effect to spread terms and concept typically of the financial world to other domains, such as the welfare policy (Social Investment State) and the traditional philanthropic sector (Social Return on Investment). Even the SSE has not been immune from this “epidemic” of measurement, standardization, quantification of its activities’ effects (Salathé-Beaulieu, G. in collaboration with M. J. Bouchard and M. Mendell, 2019). The paper’s main aim is to argue in favour of the adoption of a broader conceptualization of the SSE contribution to the local community (and to the society as a whole) that the one implied by the term “impact”. It proposes a conceptual framework based on the “social value” notion, which requires to consider the worth (Bouchard, M. J. ed., 2009) linked to the presence of the organization itself and not only of its activities/ programs/services. The paper will illustrate and comment the main results from an empirical research on the Social Added Value Evaluation of an umbrella recreation association in the Emilia-Romagna Region. The inquire adopts an experimental design based on qualitative methods such as: focus groups, face to face interviews and on site observations, in order to build a consensual system of social value/impact evaluation to be adopted by the local branches of the regional association.
