Abstract:
Chinese teenage women's soccer is often overlooked in China's overall efforts to improve sports literacy and develop soccer talent. This research paper explores the reasons for why Chinese girls' soccer has not expanded in popularity. My research methods included an online survey with over 100 respondents and extensive literature review, covering Chinese sociology and studies on Chinese soccer. This paper will argue that Chinese girls soccer's development is hindered by traditional ideas in society around gender and insufficient government support. These social elements limit the popularity of amateur female soccer, and also creates unfriendly sports policies for female athletes, and slows down the development of Chinese girls' soccer. Based on the current situation and needs of change and innovation in Chinese women's soccer, this paper examines the existing problems and offers detailed solutions for improving the imbalance between men and women's soccer.

Abstract:
In order to provide empirical evidence for soccer’s promotion of teamwork ability and to examine whether sociability and social connection have an effect on this promotion, we explored the relationship between soccer participation (volume, duration), teamwork ability and sociability and social connection (SSC). Using the method of stratified sampling, a questionnaire survey was carried out in four universities in Shanghai. All the respondents are undergraduate students, which include the specially recruited soccer athletes and the soccer participants from ordinary college students. The findings from this study indicate that participating in soccer can positively predict the teamwork ability of college students, and SSC can negatively moderate the effect of soccer participation on teamwork ability. The effect of soccer participation on teamwork ability was different in the collegiate soccer athletes and collegiate soccer participants groups. An important value of soccer, which is often overlooked, is the help it provides college students, who have insufficient sociability and social connections, in better integrating into the team and in improving their teamwork ability. We highly recommend that college students participate in soccer to improve their teamwork skills in study and work and to better prepare for their careers.

Abstract:
Abstract Background: Hero-making and hero-worship are common in human society. Yet despite the universal appeal of heroes, the features attributed to these figures and the attitudes toward them change depending upon the circumstances. Heroes have been the topic of extensive discussion in the academic literature. Nevertheless, little research attention has been directed at sports heroes. Examining soccer heroes is of special importance, particularly in view of soccer’s popularity across the globe and the celebrity status of top soccer stars. Purpose: The objective of this paper is to examine and map the defining features of soccer heroes as subjectively perceived by their fans. Methods: We conducted a qualitative study that entailed semi-structured interviews with 18 young Israeli soccer fans as well as content analysis of fan chants. Results: The research findings indicate that fans attribute special importance to three main characteristics that are not perceived as dominant among heroes in other contexts: loyalty to team and family, modesty and morality, and the ability to influence their surroundings. Based on the findings, the paper discusses the unique nature of soccer heroes in contrast to other elite players and the role played by these heroes for their fans.

Abstract:
This study investigates soccer video games as a platform to promote soccer engagement (i.e., involvement, behavioral intentions) among those who do not physically play soccer regularly. Perceived soccer literacy is proposed as a construct explaining the promotional effect, consisting of the four sub-themes of affective attitude, perceived functional knowledge, perceived critical knowledge, and perceived competence. A study was conducted based on an online survey and with US and Canadian adults who do not physically play soccer on a regular basis. With structural equation modeling, (1) the association between soccer video game use and perceived soccer literacy was examined (via mean comparison) and (2) perceived soccer literacy’s link to soccer involvement and behavioral intentions was tested (via latent variable path analysis). Positive links were reported from soccer video games usage to all four sub-themes. Perceived soccer literacy imposed significant influences on soccer involvement/intentions, where perceived critical knowledge was the most influential.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to compare the external loads (i.e., displacement distances and velocities) of 10–11 years-old soccer players during Soccer-7 (i.e., seven-a-side), Soccer-8 (i.e., eight-a-side), and Soccer-11 (i.e., eleven-a-side) official matches. Male athletes (n = 133; age, 10.9 ± 0.8 years) were measured during official matches for total distance (TD), relative distance (Drel), maximal velocity (Vmax), acceleration (ACC), deceleration (DEC), and absolute and relative distance covered at different velocities. Data during matches were collected using a Global Positioning System unit. Greater TD was recorded during Soccer-11 compared to Soccer-7 and Soccer-8 (p < 0.01), and greater Drel during Soccer-11 compared to Soccer-8 (p < 0.05). Absolute ACC was greater during Soccer-11 compared to Soccer-7 (p < 0.01), although relative values for %ACC and %DEC were greater during Soccer-7 and Soccer-8 compared to Soccer-11 (p < 0.01). Globally, results show that Soccer-11 matches induce greater external loads compared to Soccer-7 and Soccer-8 matches. Current results may help coaches and soccer-related organizers to plan more suited soccer competitions for young players, with lower external loads.

Abstract:
Weber’s legitimacy theory has been diffused widely throughout the corporate and political context but not to thesporting world. This paper adopts Weber’s legitimacy theory to better understand the context of Australian sport, particularly as it relates to soccer’s standing in the culture. For the majority of its Australian existence, soccer wasnot part of the mainstream, and academic and other writing has labelled it illegitimate. However, despiteappropriating the illegitimacy label, no theoretical model has been applied to the assertion. Weber’s Theory ofLegitimacy depicts three types of legitimacy; charismatic, legal/rational and traditional. This qualitative researchutilized interview data collected from a purposive sample (N=22) of the influential people who determined soccer’slegitimacy as a result of the sport’s restructure in 2003, through to the nationally acclaimed triumph of winning themen’s Asian Cup in 2015. The data was then compared against Weber’s theory to better understand soccer’stransformation, showing that Australian soccer was legitimised by the recruitment and leadership of Frank Lowy(charismatic), the intervention of the Federal Government (legal/rational) and the inter-generational growth of thesport’s popularity and participant base (traditional). This paper not only attempts to theorise Australian soccer butalso raises some important questions regarding Australian soccer studies in general.

Overall, the essay is mainly about the women’s soccer games due to nowadays people’s over-widening interests about women’s soccer games and women’s World Cup. I focused on basically three prospectives of women’s soccer games and especially focused on the disparity between women’s soccer games and men’s game. There is huge disparity between male players’ salary and female players’ salary, there is also huge difference of public acceptance about women’s soccer game and men’s soccer games(especially the different reasons which drove audiences watch the game)In addition, the investments of women soccer clubs is fortunately increasing in China mainly because the government support and more and more companies already realized the huge market behind women’s soccer game as well.

Abstract:
This qualitative study examined Korean college soccer players’ perceptions of and need for agents and the roles and competencies expected of them based on in-depth interviews with college soccer players. By exploring the significance of soccer agents as perceived by college soccer players, this study aimed to provide basic data necessary for training soccer agents for college soccer players and establishing regulations for college soccer agents. The research results can be summarized as follows: (1) The players interviewed generally showed a positive attitude toward soccer agents and were aware of the need for an agent; (2) the roles expected of an agent by college soccer players were different from those expected by professional soccer players: preparing opportunities to join Korean and foreign professional clubs, supporting and managing players, and facilitating smooth communication; and (3) the core competencies expected of a soccer agent by college soccer players were official agent certification, networks with professional soccer clubs, and understanding of the soccer industry. The results of this study highlight the need for stakeholder organizations in soccer to establish a systematic agent platform for college soccer players and take efforts to eliminate unregistered agents who engage in inappropriate activities. Qualified agent education and training for college soccer players will help protect them from unregistered agents and foster high-quality agency services.

Abstract:
The paper studied the problems of soccer detection and tracking in soccer tracking, in soccer detection; as the size of the soccer is too small to extract distinguishable feature, it is difficult to detect the soccer automatically. To solve this problem, a soccer detection algorithm was based on class weighted spatial Fuzzy C-means (ws-FCM) was proposed. Firstly, the target function of the spatial Fuzzy C-means was improved. Subsequently, a bi-threshold strategy was proposed to detect the soccer automatically. In the aspect of soccer tracking, existing methods fail to detect the soccer when it was occluded by several players successively. To solve this problem, the motion state of soccer of broadcast soccer video was analyzed, which is inspired by the contextual cueing effect of human visual search. According to the motion state of the soccer, parameters updating function of dynamic Kalman filter (DKF) were improved. Thus, a soccer tracking algorithm based on multiple search regions dynamic Kalman filter (MDKF) was proposed, which enhances the robustness of soccer tracking by extending the search area. The experiments show that the proposed algorithm can automatically detect soccer in images with high detection accuracy and can track the soccer more robustly, with better occlusion handle ability.

The problem in this research is soccer coaching. The purpose of this study is to look at the motivation of athletes, coaches, and infrastructure in coaching football. This research is a descriptive quantitative study. The population in this study are all people who are members of MENARA FC. The sampling technique in this study used a total sampling technique, the sample in this study was 28 people. This research was conducted in 3 days, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The instruments of this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study using the Likers scale. Results of the study: 1) Motivation is needed in coaching athletes. Between the two forms of motivation is more dominant internal motivation even though it is not separated from external motivation in the field or at home. 2) The trainer is very influential in coaching so the trainer must have a good foundation. The trainer already has a license and has participated in FILANESIA training, but cannot carry out the training program that he has made well because of incomplete infrastructure. 3) Infrastructure facilities at MENARA FC are sufficient but still unable to cope with all forms of training provided by the coach, there are still many that must be completed

Abstract:
Purpose – As an exploratory study, the purpose of this paper is to examine the underlying motivations for attending soccer games. Design/methodology/approach – Attendees at two soccer games in Athens, Greece were surveyed about their frequency of attendance at soccer games and their attitudes toward soccer. In total, 252 people from five randomly selected sections of the stadiums participated in the survey. Findings – The results indicate that there are three major motivations – emotional excitement, socialization, and soccer atmospherics – and two identity salience factors – ardent soccer fans and rational soccer fans – for attending soccer games. The most important factor for attendance is being an ardent soccer fan closely followed by the emotional excitement factor. Among the demographic factors considered, only gender significantly affects soccer game attendance. Originality/value – In contrast to previous studies that are somewhat descriptive, this research explicitly introduces factors related to social identity theory and attempts to predict soccer game attendance on the basis of a scale of factors that focus on the major motivations for attendance of soccer games, identity salience reasons, and demographic factors. The inclusion of social identity theory as a factor in the attendance of soccer games is a major contribution of this study. Contrary to most of the earlier studies, this study showed that the socialization factor is not related to attendance at soccer games.

Abstract:
We administered neurocognitive batteries to 49 youth soccer athletes (9–15 yr), who were selected from competitive soccer teams in Central Florida. We collected observational data on soccer heading, self-reported soccer heading, as well as demographics, including school, medical, and soccer history. Both the frequency and intensity of heading the ball in soccer was low in comparison with adolescents and adults. In our sample, the vast majority of soccer headings were of low to moderate intensity and direct (i.e., the incoming flight of the ball was perpendicular to the forehead). Age significantly correlated with frequent heading. Parents were reliable observers of their children’s soccer heading behavior and other at-risk behaviors during games. The majority of soccer headings were direct rather than flicks. Almost half of our participants reported headache and one-fourth reported dizziness after instances of heading the ball. Frequency of soccer heading was not related to neuropsychological score data.

Abstract:
Coaching a youth soccer player is important, and the coach’s role is key. Actually, there is no profile or coaching program for grassroots-soccer coaches that favor the practice of soccer and disability, according to different research and experts. The main purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the professional profile of the grassroots-soccer coach who has soccer players with disabilities (learning and coaching context). This research applies a quantitative method, specifically, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, and inferential methodology. The sample of analysis is the staff members of the professional soccer clubs of LaLigaSantander Genuine (Spain). An important result is that half of the grassroots-soccer coaches have not received specific education to coach youth soccer players with disabilities. Finally, one important conclusion of this research is that by generating a climate of trust and empathy, grassroots-soccer coaches improve the performance of their soccer players with disabilities by recognizing and understanding their emotional states.

Abstract:
This study aims to produce electronic soccer teaching materials (ebooks) in basic soccer subjects. This study uses research and development methods by developing electronic soccer teaching materials based on competency standards through needs analysis from lecturers and students. Based on the results of the needs analysis for soccer course lecturers, 90% and 95% of students taking basic soccer courses stated that it was necessary to develop electronic soccer teaching materials for the needs of basic soccer lectures. The results of the validation of the feasibility of content, media feasibility and material feasibility obtained an average of 77.7% (very good) for content feasibility: 81.7% (very good) for media feasibility: and 80.3 (very good) good) for the feasibility of the material. With the average validation result of the three components is 79.9% (very good). The results of the effectiveness test of electronic soccer teaching materials in small-scale trials obtained an average percentage of 89.6%. In testing the effectiveness of electronic soccer teaching materials in small-scale trials, an average percentage of 91.4% was obtained. The conclusion is that the electronic soccer teaching materials developed can be used in online and offline basic soccer lectures.

Abstract:
American soccer has been besieged by lawsuits. In the last two years alone, the United States Soccer Federation (“U.S. Soccer”) has been hit with two antitrust lawsuits, two Equal Pay Act and Title VII gender discrimination lawsuits, and a trademark lawsuit, while two of its professional league members are engaged in their own trademark lawsuit. One threshold question that has received scant attention in the media is whether these disputes should be in federal court at all. Under the Statutes and Regulations of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (“FIFA”), soccer’s global governing organization, all disputes are required to be arbitrated. Taking a dispute to an ordinary court of law is potentially subject to sanction, which could include suspension or even expulsion. Given this forced arbitration rule, this article considers several possible explanations for why there has been no push to arbitrate the disputes in most of the lawsuits: (1) The enforceability of FIFA’s arbitration requirement has been called into question by recent rulings against forced arbitration clauses; (2) FIFA focuses the enforcement of its arbitration requirement on certain types of cases; (3) FIFA does not consider certain types of claims subject to arbitration; and (4) U.S. Soccer’s bylaws do not impose the arbitration requirement in such a way as it would apply to these types of cases. Although none of these entirely resolve the matter in a satisfactory way, in the aggregate they may help to define the emerging limits to arbitration for sports governing bodies in the U.S. and elsewhere.

Abstract:
"Soccer is a high-level skill sport that requires aerobic and anaerobic strength, as well as physical skills related to speed, agility, strength, and power. To meet these physical needs of soccer players, coaches now offer a variety of aerobic exercises that essentially use the lower and upper extremities, as well as large muscle groups. Correct technical performance of exercises protects not only from various injuries but also saves unnecessary energy consumption. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to critically analyze research that has examined the importance of aerobic endurance in young soccer players. The following databases were searched: Pub Med, Scopus, Google Scholar, CrossRef, etc. to find all relevant publications. The following keywords were used in this search: ""soccer"", ""young soccer players"", ""VO2 max"", and ""soccer performance"", along with adjectives such as ""effect"", ""change"" and ""impact"". It was found that the aerobic demands of soccer players are crucial and strategic for the game. Keywords: ""soccer"", ""young soccer players"", ""VO2 max"", ""soccer performance"", ""effect"", ""change"" and ""impact""."
