Abstract:
Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are productive economic enterprises owned by individuals and business entities that meet the criteria as micro-enterprises from the agricultural, fishery, processing industries, handicraft industries and creative industries, the problem that occurs is that there is no regular updating of data. from the sub-district government so that many micro and small business actors have not been recorded thoroughly, with limited data it is certainly difficult for the sub-district government to convey information to micro and small business actors, delays in information also affect the relationship between the sub-district and business actors who are not good . This research was conducted to create and implement a knowledge management system that is equipped with location features so that it can facilitate data collection and knowledge management on micro and small businesses in Rowosari sub-district. This application is made using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results of this study indicate that the application of this knowledge management system can make it easier to collect data and manage information and knowledge about micro and small businesses.

Abstract:
Financial processing is currently widely used for business purposes. The business includes small and medium businesses. With these small and medium businesses, the system used still uses financial processes manually in its processing. As a result, there are often errors in the calculation process as well as income and expenditure. And not the same as the results of the calculation. In this cash processing application system, it can help small and medium entrepreneurs to calculate large amounts of data. And will reduce the error rate. The application model is designed using Finite State Automata. With this model, it can be seen that the value of the design testing process shows that the first and second designs have smaller processing processes compared to the third design. It can be said that to conduct data processing in a large way the third design is more accurate than the first and second. It is hoped that this application can be applied by other small and medium micro-entrepreneurs, and can assist in carrying out a more efficient financial management process.

Abstract:
Technology has an important role in the implementation of human activities at this time, including in business activities. Today's technology is widely used to manage business activities with various forms of display/templates that are easy to use. Dashboards are used to display data concisely. Reports can be viewed quickly through a summary of the data displayed on the dashboard. So much data processing makes business activities that still carry out manual recording and see the report data sequence is felt to be less effective. Utilization of technology is highly needed by owners of small businesses when facing business management constraints such as a long time to manage data, loss of sales data, purchases and reports recapitulation errors. Besides, the need for fast and accurate data and information access is also needed to support and monitor business management. Based on these problems, a solution is needed to manage the overall sales and purchasing data, and display reports quickly and accurately by carrying out a study entitled "Dashboard Management of Sales and Purchases of Fish in Fish Spots".

Abstract:
To cope with the increasingly fierce market competition environment, enterprises need to quickly respond to business issues and maintain business advantages, which require timely and correct decisions. In this context, the general mathematical modeling method may cause overfitting phenomenon when using small data sets, so it is difficult to ensure good analysis performance. Therefore, it is significant for enterprises to use limited samples to analyze and forecast. Over the past few decades, the grey model and its extensions have been shown to be effective tools for processing small data sets. To further enforce the effectiveness of data uncertainty processing, a fuzzy-decomposition modeling procedure for grey models is developed. Specifically, Latent Information (LI) function is employed to decompose the initial series into three subseries; next, the three subseries are used to build three grey models and create the estimated values of the three subseries; finally, the weighted average method is applying to combine the estimated values of the three subseries into a single final predicted value. After the actual test on the monthly demand data of the thin-film transistor liquid crystal display panels, the proposed fuzzy-decomposition modeling procedure can result in good prediction outcomes and is thus an appropriate decision analysis tool for managers.

Abstract:
Purpose The development within storage and processing technologies combined with the growing collection of data has created opportunities for companies to create value through the application of big data. The purpose of this paper is to focus on how small and medium-sized companies in Denmark are using big data to create value. Design/methodology/approach The research is based on a literature review and on data collected from 457 Danish companies through an online survey. The paper looks at big data from the perspective of SMEs in order to answer the following research question: to what extent does the application of big data create value for small and medium-sized companies. Findings The findings show clear links between the application of big data and value creation. The analysis also shows that the value created through big data does not arise from data or technology alone but is dependent on the organizational context and managerial action. A holistic perspective on big data is advocated, not only focusing on the capture, storage, and analysis of data, but also leadership through goal setting and alignment of business strategies and goals, IT capabilities, and analytical skills. Managers are advised to communicate the business value of big data, adapt business processes to data-driven business opportunities, and in general act on the basis of data. Originality/value The paper provides researchers and practitioners with empirically based insights into how the application of big data creates value for SMEs.

Abstract:
We have entered an era of information technology. Many financial and taxation management tasks have been applied to big data technology. Through big data technology, we can efficiently collect data and Internet information, realize efficient management of information, and establish a complete set of tax database. The research results of the article show the following. (1) We analyze the application status of big data technology and put forward the problems and solutions in data processing in our country. (2) Most financial managers of small and medium-sized enterprises are rather vague about the definition of taxation. Training in this area should be strengthened. Taking the industrial chain of Chinese enterprises as the survey object, the concept of taxation compliance and influencing factors have been elaborated, and a taxation respect model has been established. The investigation method can be analyzed through the model. (3) We established the coefficient of variation model with Pilka coefficient and found that the main business income has the highest correlation with the value-added tax payable and has the strongest linear relationship; the correlation between return on assets and value-added tax payable is the weakest, and there is a weak relationship. There is a strong negative correlation between sales profit margin and VAT payable (4) Taking a pharmaceutical company in our country as the subject of investigation, the company’s financial operating conditions have been studied for the past ten years, and it is concluded that the company’s main business income is increasing year by year, and the corresponding tax revenue is also increasing, and the tax growth rate is relatively unstable. Among them, the financial risk coefficient of corporate income tax is the largest.

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze business liquidity perceptions during the Covid-19 lockdown and how the lockdown affected businesses. The research methodology used in this paper consists of a literature review on businesses in the lockdown and an analysis of data collected through a survey conducted in the second quarter of 2020, immediately after the Covid-19 restriction measures were imposed. The sample used contains 180 businesses from a population of 166,386 businesses in Albania, providing a 7.30% error according to the Raosoft calculator. A more in-depth analysis was made by comparison, using box-plots for liquidity issues and problems faced by small, medium and large businesses (SMLEs) during the pandemic. The degree of significance of factors taken into consideration in this study is expressed by Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient (PCC) and an econometric model. The processing and analysis of data was made using SPSS V21. From the analysis of the factors considered and the size of the business, two important conclusions emerge: (1) the exercise of activity for Albanian businesses is closely related to the payments and the business perspective (bankruptcy risk); (2) the fear of bankruptcy was felt more by big business, while medium business had fewer problems referring to all the factors taken into consideration. The econometric model determined the most important factors for assessing the level of impact of Covid-19: Failure Perception, Support from Solidarity Packages, and Cash Reserves Usage. Surprisingly, it is noticed that businesses attribute the use of cash reserves (C.R.U) to different expenses/liabilities compared to the traditional ones treated in this study.

Abstract:
Recent advances in data analysis and processing methods can improve the ability of computational applications to perform complex steps of different tasks. With the progress of information and communication technologies (ICT), Blockchain-based complex data processing for transaction analysis and smart contract agreement has become a new research area in the fields of mathematics and computation. Stability of financial sector based on the ICT is a core component for growing the economics of medium and small enterprises. This stability brings the innovation to businesses productivity, while the management of information takes more prospective for improving the efficiency and more ways for innovating the business of products. In this study, we use the autoregressive distribution lag (ARDL) model with Blockchain-based complex data processing approach to emphasize the role of ICT in the field of trade credit maintainability. Actually, the ICT connects the industries in the entire world and makes business sectors that use its technologies be more advanced. Based on the ARDL model conducted on the records gathered from 2000 to 2019, the analysis concludes that the ICT-based complex data processing is a critical component of trade credit. The statistics of ICT are chosen based on the economy penetrations through the Internet and mobile phones. The causality exposed between the trade credit and ICT is bidirectional in nature. Also, it is found that the usage of mobile phones has a substantial influence on the business sectors, as a substantial amount of trading and business transactions are conducted over the phone. Therefore, the primary concern is the association between the Blockchain and trade credit, which is thoroughly discussed in this work. The trade credit improves the stability of financial sector and the Blockchain supports its maintainability by the role of ICT. The results of the study can help the business stakeholders and investors to estimate the marketing for future useful execution.

Abstract:
It can be said that Integrated Information Systems (IIS) are a fundamental operating tool in modern business systems and form the basis of successful company management. The goal of our research was to determine the IT level of business operations in Croatian wood processing industry and to assess how significant it has been in enhancing its business performance. A survey method was used to collect data, which resulted in gathering predominantly small and medium-sized companies. Our results indicate an average use of IIS modalities among surveyed companies. Using cluster analysis, three types of companies were identified with respect to the degree of system implementation. Analysis of financial benefits of the IIS implementation did not find any statistically significant relationship. However, subjective impressions on non-financial indicators show that companies in all three clusters see the greatest benefit of IIS in the improved inventory efficiency and sales efficiency.

Abstract:
The agro-industry plays an important role in the Indonesian economy. However, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this industry face various challenges to be competitive, one of which is the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) agreement. The study aims to develop a model for the agro-industry Micro-Small Medium Enterprises to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) using entrepreneurial marketing approaches. This research was conducted at three centers of agro-based industry clusters in Indonesia. The respondents were business actors representing the leading Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the fruit-processing industry cluster, fish processing industry cluster and milk processing industry cluster. Primary data collection was conducted through structured interviews using close ended questionnaires. This study used Structural Equation Modelling analysis with a Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach to develop a model of enhancement for the agro-industry clusters in dealing with AEC. The findings suggest that the entrepreneurial marketing has significant impact in increasing business development and business competitiveness. The MSMEs possessing great competitiveness would be more ready to penetrate their business into other ASEAN markets. In addition, supportive government policies that encourage and improve innovativeness can significantly increase the entrepreneurial marketing ability.

Abstract:
PurposeThe purpose of this paper was to investigate the factors influencing financial performance of small hotels, particularly in developing countries like Tanzania.Design/methodology/approachThis investigation used financial ratio analysis on business performance data collected from small hotels in Tanzania through face‐to‐face interviews. Currently there is no existing data on such aspects of the hotel industry in Tanzania. As a consequence, Arusha region was selected as the sample for this study due to a significant amount of hospitality industry activity in this area.FindingsFindings of this investigation suggest that operating factors in small hotels such as inefficiencies due to lack of employee training, low investments in fixed assets and technology may be equally responsible for low profitability as are government policies that ignore appropriate emphasis on ensuring safety and security, and quick processing of licenses and permits.Research limitations/implicationsEven though this is one of the few studies that has investigated the profitability of small hotels in a developing country, its findings are based on the analysis of one (even though a prominent) tourist area of East Africa.Practical implicationsNevertheless, findings provide preliminary evidence for professionals and policy makers to critically evaluate factors that would ensure profitability of small hotels in countries such as Tanzania.Originality/valueAs this paper highlights, this is critical because such businesses are locally owned and may truly and positively influence economic development.

Abstract:
Purpose Subsistence small businesses (SSBs) do not seek the maximum benefit; they only seek a benefit that enough satisfies their basic needs. In consequence, a dual behaviour of companies is expected and possibly the competitiveness of these companies is different. The purpose of this paper is to study the dual behaviour of SSBs and the differences about their competitive advantages. Design/methodology/approach Data were obtained by conducting surveys with owners and managers of wood processing companies located in a region of Misiones (Argentina). The results were checked by interviews in 2012 and 2015. The research uses principal component analysis and K-means to classify the different behaviour and MANOVA analysis to study the relationships. Findings The findings suggest two types of SSBs and show that competitive advantages are different into two groups of companies. Research limitations/implications The data used refer to a certain period of time, with interviews in next periods. Sample is in a particular region and sector and generalisations should be done carefully. The variables are measured with subjective questions. Practical implications The findings suggest instruments to change the strategy of unsatisfied SSBs to grow. Social implications The growth of SSBs is very important in poorest areas. The paper suggest governments’ politics that facilitate a stable environment for improving competitiveness of SSBs. Originality/value SSBs are very important in developing countries, but they are not sufficiently studied. The research shows the importance of satisfying principle in the competitiveness of subsistence entrepreneurs.

Abstract:
Purpose An efficient policy supporting clustered business operations necessitates an appreciation of the dynamics of rivalry and collaborations among businesses. This paper postulates that variation in competition and cooperation can significantly influence the nature of business relationships among clustered businesses, which is essential for cluster policy particularly (Newlands, 2003) as most research on rivalry and cooperation in clusters have been in developed economies. The purpose of this paper is to seek to fill the gap in the literature in African clusters based on original empirical research. Design/methodology/approach The study adopts a mixed-method research design allowing for data triangulation to study two food processing clusters. The approach comprises a survey and in-depth interview with key actors along the supply chain. Findings The findings show that business clusters with more formal business structures tend to have minimal horizontal competition but higher vertical cooperation. Comparatively, clusters with more socially embedded milieu tend to have higher levels of cooperation and minimal competition in both vertical and horizontal relationships. The research also shows that such variations in inter-business relationships have an effect on cluster operations in terms of business access to finance, formal contract, sharing of innovation and the way they relate to different stakeholders in their supply chain. Originality/value This paper advances a critical case for international business theory on clusters in Africa to incorporate the distinctive business relationships in small and medium enterprises (SME) clusters. It also demonstrates how unique location-specific attributes of developing economies hold the key to sustaining the operations of SME-based clusters.

Abstract:
PurposeThe purpose of the paper was to analyze the financial risk perception of owners/managers and to link such perception to the performance of their ventures.Design/methodology/approachThe paper employed PLS-SEM to analyze financial risks and its impact on SMEs in the food processing sector. Financial risks data on the operational, market, technological, credit and liquidity risks and financial performance including compliance, social and resource efficiency performance were collected from 214 food processors in selected cities in Ghana. Higher-order constructs were employed in assessing the relationship between financial risks and SME performance.FindingsFinancial risk spurs a firm's financial performance. Increased financial risks cause firms to be resource-efficient and compliant. Furthermore, an assessment of how the various performance indicators interplay showed increased compliant improved social performance and vice versa.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper looked at food processing firms in three major cities, analyzing the financial risks of the businesses and their effect on their performance. Although, these cities have the largest number of these firms, generalizing the findings from the study should be done taking into consideration the scope of the study.Practical implicationsThe study exposes owners/managers to the critical issues of financial risk, its components and how this could impact on their operations. It expected that owner/managers in the food processing sector would craft the necessary risk mitigating strategies to deal with the different financial risks they face. For theoretical implication, the paper suggests the need to highlight the risk exposure of firms due to the business–stakeholder interactions as contained in the stakeholder theory.Originality/valueThe paper employed the higher-order construct of PLS-SEM to analyze the financial risks of food processors. Abstract:
Enterprises have established a number of business processing systems and business websites according to their own characteristics and business needs, such as e-commerce websites and shopping websites. Over time, a large number of sales transaction data and customer purchase information have been generated, but no useful information has been generated stored in the database. Therefore, the management and decision-making levels of enterprises try to get useful information from huge and complex data. With the development of network technology and database, data mining technology has emerged. Nowadays, data mining technology has become one of the most concerned technologies of e-commerce. It can select appropriate data mining methods according to the characteristics of commodities, carry out effective statistical analysis and decision support for data, predict and analyze future market trends, greatly improve the business intelligence analysis of e-commerce enterprises, and make enterprises have greater advantages in market competition. This paper explains some important methods related to data mining and designs a data mining system. One of the systems can help e-commerce decision-makers analyze and predict data. Through experiments, it is concluded that the average absolute percentage errors of prediction data are 8.6% and 5.3%, respectively, with small errors and high accuracy. Second, make better recommendations for users. After investigation and analysis, the highest satisfaction has increased by 25% after using the system.

In response to potential litigation, numerous CPA firms have purchased liability insurance for protection. AT present little is known about the types of firms that become insured, and factors influencing the sources from which insured firms buy their coverage. Results o this study indicate that insurance coverage is less likely among small firms and firms that provide data processing services, while tax firms are more likely to acquire coverage. Among firms that purchase insurance, premiums tend to be higher among older firms, partnerships, and firms providing data processing services. Provision of auditing or tax services tends to be associated with lower premiums, other factors held constant. We do not find evidence of self selection bias in the determination of premiums. Further results provide insight into choices among insured firms regarding the sources of coverage.</span>

Structural Equation Model was adopted to analyze the data and verify the hypotheses. The outcomes indicate that financial and business benefits, competitor pressure and national environmental regulations positively influenced the adoption of green manufacturing adoption initiatives. Management and staff commitment influenced adoption slightly. These outcomes are vital to developing strategies for improving green practices implementation within firms for positive environmental and economic performance. Governments in developing nations especially Ghana will be well informed on which parts of the regulations to strengthen and enforce for improved environmental responsibility from Ghanaian agro processing small and medium enterprises and other businesses.

Abstract:
Data mining is a method used to obtain valuable information contained in data banks. The information obtained can be used as input for determining the business strategy for the head of the company's agency. One of the most widely used data mining techniques is clustering using the K-Means method. Print on Demand (PoD) is one of the printing business units of PT. Gramedia which specifically provides printing services for various types of products, including: books, magazines, calendars, posters, promo materials such as product catalogs and brochures, as well as small-sized products such as business cards, tickets, coupons or vouchers and stickers. Currently every sales transaction data is stored in a SQL Server database, but until now the data processing is still done manually for reporting needs for company management. The purpose of this research is to perform K-Means Clustering analysis of the transaction data of sales of print services using the RapidMiner application to classify routine customer data based on the number of transactions made for each type of print product. The results of the application of the K-Means Clustering method resulted in 8 groups of customer data where the largest group consisted of 92.89% of the number of customers. The results of the analysis can be used by the company's management to determine various business strategies to increase the company's competitiveness.

Abstract:
Purpose of Study: The purpose of this study is to explore the process of small and micro business in dealing with their competitors and competitive power in the market. This study uses an information-processing approach that examines three activities, scanning competitive environments, interpretation of competitive actions, and reactions based on those assessments. This research is motivated by the low competitiveness of micro-business, especially deaf businessmen in Surabaya. Methodology: This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, where researchers try to explain or reveal the meaning of the concept or the phenomenon of experiences based on the awareness that occurs in subjects. In this study, the researchers collect, summarize and interpret the data obtained, which then re-processed so as to obtain a clear picture, directed and comprehensive of the problem that became the object of research. The phenomenological approach is used to analyze the original data collected from interview questions and dialogue with informants. The structure of an experience is illustrated by the researchers' interpretation of the participant description. Results: The final results of this study are expected to enhance the competitiveness of micro business actors, especially those engaged in the culinary field. Implications/Applications: The result of the analysis of Competitive Environment Scanning can be concluded that the deaf business group gets enough threat from numbers of new food and beverage traders that keep emerging in Surabaya. In addition, competitors have a good concept of starting services, outlet design, marketing management, and financial management. Competitors are also promoting more vigorously.

Abstract:
According to the Russian standards in the field of information security management (IS), which are authentic international standards, such as [1, 2], the organization must regularly conduct an internal audit of the information security management system. An audit is an independent review and evaluation of an organization's activities by analyzing and evaluating processes, projects, reports, and products. Audit, as an activity, is not static, unchanging, it evolves. From the point of view of leading international audit companies, in particular [3, 4], the current stage of audit evolution is the transition from reactivity (identifying shortcomings after the fact) to proactivity (predicting the results of actions or events before their completion). The validity of the statement for the Russian Internal Audit is confirmed by the results of the IX National Scientific and Practical Conference [5]. The movement towards proactivity in the audit determines the relevance of the following tasks: 1) processing up to 100 % of the information generated by the activity that is the focus of the audit; 2) processing information in a close-to-online mode; 3) the availability of powerful tools for data analysis and modeling on their basis the further development of the investigated events, as well as the appropriate skills of working with it from the auditors. When conducting audits, the auditors have a dilemma – on the one hand, they are obliged to provide the owners/shareholders/management of the organization with data as close as possible to the reliable state of the information security management processes, information about the identified shortcomings and recommendations for their elimination, on the other hand: the audit time is strictly limited; unloading the initial data from the organization's information systems takes considerable time; the data obtained from various information systems and other sources have different, not always standard formats; the tools used have disadvantages, since the most frequently used spreadsheets (MSExcel, LOCalc), due to internal limitations, are no longer able to provide the required functionality. The above-mentioned factors, as well as other factors, such as unwillingness to cooperate, hidden opposition of the personnel of the audited organization, evaluation of the work of auditors only by quantitative indicators (the number of observations or the time spent on one observation), lead to the fact that the checks are carried out superficially. At the same time, shortcomings in the information security management processes can be detected, but it becomes difficult to explain their nature and give effective recommendations to the business auditor. As a result, the goal of independent audits defined in GOST ISO/IEC 27002-2012 – “ensuring confidence in the continued efficiency, adequacy and effectiveness of the organization's approach to information security management” [2] – cannot be achieved. One of the options for eliminating some of the above-mentioned shortcomings is the use of programs developed by the auditors themselves and designed for operational data processing, the so-called “small automation”, during audits. This approach, although it is a low-level link in the chain of automation of audit procedures and, nevertheless, is within the framework of the audit development paradigm in the direction of robotization of procedures and the use of artificial intelligence, which is discussed, for example, in the works [3, 6, 7], and also confirmed by the results of conferences of the Institute of Internal Auditors [8].

Abstract:
Distribution of agricultural products from the aspect of farms is a continuous issue. Efficient application of the distribution model should provide a farm owner with regular income, as well as with a competitive advantage. Assessment of distribution channels in the context of an agricultural producer is subject to multi-criteria decisions, including both qualitative and quantitative factors. The aim of this paper is to develop a model which enables a structured analysis and an efficient assessment of distribution channels. The methodology based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) will be a useful tool in setting various criteria for deciding on distribution channels, as well as a tool for managing a multi-variant qualitative assessment of data included in decision-making processes. The survey results show that the most important distribution channel for agricultural products is the channel of sales via processing plants (cooling and drying facilities, silos and agricultural combines), compared to sales through advertising (which significantly increased its share with the COVID-19 pandemic), sales through sales channels or at farmers’ markets.
