Abstract:
Les mesures de conductivite en continu sont un moyen d'analyser les proprietes electriques d'un materiau, mais des problemes de resistances parasites peuvent apparaitre. De plus, si on a affaire a des echantillons en poudre ou a des couches minces tres fragiles, cette technique est inadaptee. Les mesures aux hyperfrequences que nous exposons ici permettent de s'affranchir de ces problemes de contacts et de tenue mecanique des echantillons. Ainsi, on a pu etudier la conductivite de solutions solides de perovskites de terres rares en fonction de la temperature et mettre en evidence leur transition de mott isolant/metal. Une cause d'erreur liee aux effets thermiques dissipatifs lors d'experiences aux hyperfrequences a ete ecartee par une etude complete de l'echauffement d'un echantillon sous l'effet de transitions spectroscopiques ; nous avons etudie l'exemple du dpph en rpe. Des mesures d'effet hall aux hyperfrequences ont donne le signe des porteurs de charge majoritaires responsables de la conduction dans les perovskites ainsi que leur concentration. Afin d'acceder a des mesures quantitatives, nous avons egalement etudie en detail le circuit equivalent basse frequence de la cavite resonnante et les perturbations resultant de l'introduction d'un corps dielectrique a l'interieur. L'etude est realisee pour des mesures de conductivite en reflexion et d'effet hall. L'etude de l'effet de l'introduction d'un corps dielectrique dans la cavite a souleve une question importante quant a la perturbation du champ electrique initial qui en resulte. Nous avons resolu le probleme en nous placant dans des cas ou l'equation de maxwell pouvait etre resolue moyennant de legeres approximations et en ayant recours aux calculs informatiques par elements finis. Ceci nous a suggere de mettre au point une methode permettant de determiner avec rapidite la constante dielectrique d'un compose pulverulent contenu dans une eprouvette calibree de quartz fondu.

Abstract:
Ce mémoire consiste en une étude par diffusion Raman des manganites à structure perovskite non-dopés AMnO[indice inférieur 3] avec A = Pr, Sm et Y. Il apporte des éléments de compréhension dans les dynamiques vibratoires et orbitales des manganites. L'excitation orbitale récemment découverte fait l'objet d'une polémique dans la communauté scientifique. La présente étude s'oriente donc de manière à procurer des arguments permettant de trancher entre trois modèles en compétition dans la description de l'excitation orbitale. Il sera montré que l'onde orbitale délocalisée rapportée dans la littérature semble être soutenue par une théorie incomplète ne pouvant pas supporter les résultats présentés ici. En prenant d'abord un soin particulier dans le régime pliononique, les phonons des manganites étudiés sont assignés à leur triode respectif. Par la suite, les spectres d'ordre supérieur sont corrélés aux phonons. Une théorie dans la limite localisée et considérant le couplage électron-phonon se montre plus adéquate puisqu'elle prédit la combinaison de phonons. Mais la dépendance de l'excitation orbitale en fonction de la température et de l'ordre de diffusion présente une dynamique plus complexe, cadrant mieux dans un modèle où orbitons délocalisée et phonons sont couplés.

Le travail a consiste a etudier les processus de synthese et les proprietes en hyperfrequences de ceramiques dielectriques appartenant aux systemes (bao)(sm#2o#3)(nd#2o#3)(tio#2). Dans un premier temps, nous avons etudie la physico-chimie de synthese par reaction en phase solide du compose (bao)#0#. #1#5(sm#2o#3)#0#. #1#5(tio#2)#0#. #7 a l'aide de diffraction x, atd, atg, dilatometrie, et observations microstructurales. Nous avons pu mettre en evidence l'influence des phases secondaires tio#2 et ba#2ti#9o#2#0 tant sur la physico-chimie du frittage que sur les proprietes physiques. Dans un second temps, une etude de diverses compositions des diagrammes ternaires (bao)(sm#2o#3)(tio#2) et (bao)(nd#2o#3)(tio#2) a ete entreprise dans le but de minimiser le role des phases secondaires. Ces deux etudes paralleles nous ont amene dans un troisieme temps a etudier des compositions du type (bao) ((sm#1#-#xnd#x)#2o#3)(tio#2). Ainsi nous avons pu minimiser le role des phases secondaires tout en maintenant des proprietes hyperfrequences equivalentes a celles obtenues pour des resonateurs ne contenant pas l'oxyde de neodyme. Enfin, divers essais d'ajouts, (mno#2, wo#3, cao), et des substitutions du baryum par du plomb ont ete effectuees. On a ainsi pu observer la potentialite des compositions (bao, pbo)(nd#2o#3)(tio#2) qui permettraient d'atteindre des performances elevees a base de compositions de faible cout et frittant a basse temperature. Des constantes dielectriques superieures a 80 ont ete obtenues, pour des produits facteur de qualite par la frequence de resonance superieurs a 9000 ghz, et pour des coefficients en temperature de la frequence de resonance compris entre 5 ppm/c

Esta tesis versa en la síntesis, mediante métodos de baja temperatura(sol-gel y solvotermal), la caracterización y el estudio de las propiedades eléctricas, mediante Espectroscopia de Impedancia, de dos tipos de materiales ferroeléctricos: el óxido mixto de titanio y bario, BaTiO3(BT), dopado con diferentes iones (con estructura perovsquita), y la familia de compuestos Ba2LnTi2Nb3O15 (Ln = ión lantánido), con estructura de bronce de tungsteno tetragonal (TTB). Los principales
resultados en el primer sistema estudiado (BT) es el descubrimiento de un nuevo fenómeno en materiales dopados con iones aceptores relacionado con la respuesta no-óhmica de su resistencia al aplicar un pequeño voltaje dc, tanto de la frontera como del interior de grano, lo que los hace prometedores para aplicaciones tales como dispositivos de memoria (similares a los memristores), de protección o sensores. Respecto al segundo sistema estudiado (TTB), el principal resultado fue la inusual histéresis térmica en la transición ferroeléctrica y la gran diferencia entre la temperatura de transición y la temperatura de Curie-Weiss. En todos los materiales se ha analizado en detalle la relación
existente entre estructura, composición y propiedad.

AbstractThe technology used by Open, Distance, and Digital Education (ODDE) to deliver educational content includes social media (SM), which provides many opportunities to support learning in ODDE processes. This book chapter explains the use of SM in educational processes and the use of SM as a web-based educational technology, focusing specifically on the development of web technologies and SM from the perspective of ODDE. Furthermore, the chapter explores the affordances and limitations of SM through theoretical/conceptual lenses to better understand social media and its use in ODDE. In examining the research patterns on SM, four themes emerged, suggesting SM supports ODDE learning through: (1) social communication, interaction, and collaboration in online learning communities, (2) improved engagement, motivation, and satisfaction of learners, (3) functionality as an alternative learning management system for blended courses in higher education, and (4) facilitation of networked and connectivist informal learning. With its many social features, SM can be used to assist both formal and informal learning, but there still are some issues to resolve before ODDE can fully adopt it.

Abstract:
Multivalent rare earth ion, Sm+2/Sm+3 was incorporated into aluminosilicate glass fiber using an aerosol delivery technique. Co-doping of trivalent and divalent states of the ions has been spectroscopically confirmed. Irradiated by multi-line CW Ar ion laser of 1 Watt, the fiber showed photoinduced refractive change of 7.6 × 10−5. Bleaching of Sm+2 absorption band was also observed. Photoionization of Sm+2 is believed to be a main cause of the photosensitivity.
