Abstract:
The aim of this work was to create a program to visualize voxel scenes in real time using ray tracing. It included the study of various methods of such a rendering with a focus on shadows. The solution was created using Unity engine and experimental packages Unity Jobs and Burst. The thesis presents multiple ray tracing passes and SVGF technique, that is used to turn a noisy input into full edge-preserving image. The final program is able to render hard shadows, soft shadows, and ambient occlusion at speed of fifty frames per second.

Abstract:
This study describes the development of land consolidations. It summarizes their main goals, forms, procedures and possibilities of financing. It is concerned with the plan of common facilities which defines the protective measures for landscape, e.g. pathway networks, erosion control, water management and other elements for the protection and creation of the environment. The main part of the study deals with the executed elements, which are designed in the plan of common facilities in the cadastral area of Hlízov, Přítoky, Miskovice, Rašovice by Uhlířské Janovice and Opatovice I in the district of Kutná Hora. Executed elements are described and evaluated according to project documentation and field research. The enclosed maps complete an overall survey of designed and executed elements in the area.

Abstract:
The chronic inflammation in tonsilar (chronic tonsilitis) and nasal (polyposis nasi) tissue has quite a lot of similarities. The chronic inflammation and malignant transformation are biological processes controlled by many cytokines taking part in the process of cell to cell signaling and it is also known that chronic inflammation can be accepted as a factor facilitating the conversion of malignant process. The aim of this project was to follow and prove a potentional role of antimicrobial peptides, eNOS, VEGF, TGF- and the level of cell proliferation (Ki-67 marker) and apoptosis (cleaved caspase 3) in the development of nasal polyposis and chronic tonsillitis and to determine the relationship between the inflammatory and malignant processes in tonsils. Samples were obtained from patients with nasal septum deviation and SAS - sleep apnoe syndrom (as healthy controls), nasal polyposis, chronic tonsillitis and oropharyngeal carcinoma. Immunohistochemical procedures for detection of all studied substances and antigen determinants were carried out on cryostat and paraffin sections. (...) Summarizing it can be concluded that malign transformation can be facilitated by the attenuation of the local mucosal immunity (the reduction in beta-defensins synthesis - especially HBD-2) but also by hypoxia - the...

Abstract:
Monitoring of airway inflammation in patients with various types of bronchial obstruction. Monitoring of oxidative stress biomarkers in exhaled breath condensate of patients with severe refractory asthma. Background: Asthma is chronic inflammatory disease associated with bronchial hyperreactivity. Various cells plays and cellular products are involved in asthma pathogenesis. Oxidative stress plays also a significant role in mechanisms of asthma via action of reactive oxygen (ROS) and nitrogen (NOS) species. These free radicals develop from inflammatory airway reaction and from exogenous exposure of air-pollution (ozone, cigarette smoke). ROS and NOS and its products cause damage of bio- membranes, proteins and nucleic acid. Several studies showed correlation of asthma severity to intensity of oxidative stress. Aim of the study: The main goal of the study was to describe differences in concentrations of various markers of oxidative stress in exhaled breath condensate of severe refractory asthma (SRA) patients and healthy controls (HC). Secondary aim was to show correlation of oxidative stress intensity to severity of eosinophilic inflammation described by peripheral blood eosinophilia or exhaled nitric oxide concentration. Methodology: We harvested exhaled breath condensate in 40 SRA patients and 19...

Abstract:
Path tracing is a basic, statistically unbiased method for calculating the global illumination in 3D scenes. For practical purposes, the algorithm is too slow, so it is used mainly for theoretical purposes or as a base for more advanced algorithms. This thesis explores the possibility of improving this algorithm by augmenting the sampling part, which computes outgoing directions during ray traversal through the scene. This optimization is accomplished by creating a special data structure in a preprocess step, which describes approximate light distribution in the scene and which then aids the sampling process. The presented algorithm is implemented in the PBRT library.
