Abstract:
A characteristic feature of the first guesthouses and hotels in the towns located in the Giant Mountains was their location in close connection with nature. Usually, the developments from the turn of the 20th century freely blended in with a green space amongst immeasurable mountain landscape or a romantic park layout as well as sports and recreation areas. Sports venues such as toboggan runs, bobsleigh runs, ski jumping hills, ski lifts, ski runs, tennis courts, swimming pools and ice rinks were situated in a way giving the impression of a compositional and functional whole with villas and guesthouses. They were placed within larger green spaces with a wide view of the Giant Mountains range from one side or the Jizera Mountains on the other, in direct contact with forest nature and fresh air. The tourist and residential developments were supposed to be an elegant background for sporting events with the mutual use of all natural values of the landscape. Over time, a change in the needs and expectations of tourists and athletes resulted in the fact that some sports areas lost their original purpose or were re-developed. In this situation, guesthouses and hotels lost their attractive neighbourhood. Apart from many other reasons, the harmony between developed areas and open, green areas was disturbed.

Abstract:
A special role in the development of a new educational system in West Volyn was given to the Kremenets Lyceum, in which physical education occupied an important place in upbringing process. The Lyceum created a clear system of physical education. Interclass collectives with the same level of physical development were formed, which allowed to differentiate approach to the process of physical training. The division of pupils into such groups created close contact with physical education teachers. The Lyceum created the team, whose pupils participated in various competitions, and in 1936, interschool sports club, which had its statute and leadership. Lyceum teams took part in competitions not only in Kremenets, but also in other towns. Jan Targonsky, Galina Falkovska and Julian Kozlovsky made a significant contribution into the development of physical culture and sports in Kremenets and Kremenets Lyceum. Professor Yulian Kozlovsky became a great popularizer of sports not only in the lyceum, but also among the town residents. He also participated in competitions, in the organization and judging of competitions of various levels in many sports. At his initiative, thanks to the organization of annual competitions, which took place alternately in Rydzyn and Kremenets educational institutions, there was a rapprochement of student youth. On December 29, 1931, the Section of State Defense and Physical Education of the Association of Public Organizations was established in Kremenets, the tasks of which were to unite the joint efforts of the organizations. Thanks to the enthusiasm of schoolchildren, the ski movement gained popularity and went into the extracurricular sphere. The production of ski equipment on machines in school workshops helped to reduce its price and made it possible to involve first-graders and then older sections of the population in skiing. Key words: Volyn, Kremenets Lyceum, interwar period, physical culture and sports.

Abstract:
Relationship between the built environment and nature is particularly noticeable in areas with valuable natural assets. The special physiographic conditions over there often initiate the development of towns, becoming even the impetus for the new, modern settlement. Many times the environmental advantages, paradoxically turn into theirs doom. Building imprints mark. Initially, it becomes the model complement with the natural world, until it does not exceed the difficult to define boundaries. The aim of this thesis is to search for solutions that will allow for spatial sustainability between the built and natural environments of the Karkonosze. The attractive mountain area used for sports and tourism now meets with the processes of urbanization. These issues are subject to analysis by the use of comparative method providing the different concepts of towns located in the high mountain areas of Austria. Described resorts with well-developed ski and tourism infrastructure can be examples of saving the scale and unique character, despite growing new needs and expectations of tourists and athletes. There is a chance to evolve their own local standards for space use in the Karkonosze. Key findings relate inter alia the size and the level of density of the villages. Because they affect the possibility of maintaining a proper relationship between man and nature. The issue of protection and use of historical complexes in the context of efficient space management is not without a significance.

Abstract:
Decentralized governance offers opportunities for achieving development through good governance and community participation at grass root (Ayenew, 2007).Thus, this study examines the contribution of decentralization for town development and; the opportunities and challenges of wereda decentralization for town development. The study was conducted in two selected Wereda capital towns in Metekel zone, Bulen and GilgelBeles. Data were collected from primary sources with the help of questionnaires, interviews and observation. The primary data were also supported by secondary documents such as federal and regional constitutions, proclamations, regulations, local development plans, official performance reports, and magazines. The data was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The study revealed that wereda level decentralization actually has influenced development at grass root level in Metekel zone in general, and towns in particular. Better infrastructural provisions (education and health) were witnessed in the towns. This is due to better community participation in decision making process and availability of opportunity to express their interest. Though, more is expected, the financial capacity of towns has also registered progress. However, the situation in urban land delivery does not show an improvement. Partiality, bias, and unaccountability are major hindrances in urban land delivery. The top down hierarchy between town administrations and wereda administrators has become a major challenge for a full exploitation of town resource and administration. Besides, shortage of qualified manpower and weak community participation in development activities were also other factors that have impacted the further performance of towns.Int. J. Soc. Sci. Abstract:
Indoor ski slope is an innovative type of active indoor recreation. This new urban character is simulating the concept of mountain ski resort and is considered to be a strong attraction point all year-round. Due to a big scale and complexity, sustainable integration into an urban context should be very carefully considered. Economical, social, environmental and aesthetic impact on surrounding territories is an important factor to be evaluated. International practice shows that the appropriate integration of the above mentioned typology into urban parks increase their popularity and use of the recreation zone. On the other hand, the alien architecture and egocentric dominance of complexes can cause conflict with the existing urban territories and natural environment. Having indoor ski slopes in mind at the stages of regional and town territorial planning is an important point. Only complex development can bring positive results for sustainable town development, town economy, tourism and social life.

Abstract:
This project examines how three groups in a winter resort town develop criteria of distinction through their everyday interactions. These groups—working-class locals, ski bums from privileged backgrounds holding low-wage jobs, and wealthy vacationers—each employ the idea of “nature” to distinguish themselves. Locals perform their perceived connection to “nature”—their interaction with and dependence on physical surroundings—to ski bums. Ski bums then draw on prior knowledge to redefine “nature,” stressing its separation from humans, in order to apply it as a criterion of exclusion back toward the locals. Vacationers adopt a similar definition and use it to ally themselves with the ski bums, exclude the locals, and establish their own legitimacy. Challenging most models of cultural diffusion, the privileged ski bums and vacationers implicitly recognize the terms of distinction set by the marginalized locals, indicating that group’s potential for cultural innovation.

Abstract:
In Japan's ski boom of 1960–80 Hakuba's subsistence farmers collectively transformed adjacent mountain slopes into ski areas and built new incomes by individually offering accommodation. Since the domestic market went bust, they have reorganized collective and individual efforts to create a destination resort attractive to inbound tourists. A differentiated common pool resources approach, using concepts from evolutionary economy geography, is utilized to evaluate their success in this endeavor. This structure evolved path dependencies that inhibit coordination of ski areas, generate some divisions in resort governance, and preclude integration of mountain and town activities. The structure does, however, enable reformulation of social capital and a competitive selection of firms that enables dynamic downsizing of the resort.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper explores the role of small towns in the Mazovia region in Poland which is both characterized by rural areas and the suburban zone of Warsaw. The analysis of changes in the local labour markets reveals that microregions formed by small peripheral towns were more resistant to changes than those located in the suburban area of Warsaw. The latter were absorbed by the capital city whose zone of influence expanded in the detriment of adjacent small towns and their microregions. Using the concept of exogenous functions performed by small towns, we also shed light on their role with regard to the surrounding areas (with dominant agricultural function) in the past decade. The values of the service concentration index (SCI) and the level of population concentration showed that the majority of services to local and neighbouring inhabitants were delivered in small county towns located in the periphery. On the other hand, small county towns located in the vicinity of Warsaw mainly provided services to their inhabitants.

Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of the present study, which was based on the increasing relationship between sports and the environment and the importance of this relationship, was to calculate the carbon footprint of Sarıkamış Ski Facilities in the city of Kars, Turkey. To do this purpose, an answer was sought to the following study question: What is the carbon footprint of Sarıkamış Ski Facilities?Methodology: The study was conducted within the scope of quantitative research methods design, which are used frequently in social sciences in recent years. The amount of electricity consumed on the cable car line in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities in Kars and the natural gas consumption amounts of the three hotels that have the highest bed capacity and overnight stays in the hotels area were used as the dataset in the study. To answer the study question, the carbon dioxide emission amount (carbon footprint) of the ski Facilities was calculated by using the calculation methodology (Tier 1 Method) that was put forward by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).Results/Findings: The carbon dioxide emission (carbon footprint) occurring because of the natural gas consumption of three accommodation facilities and the electricity consumption of the cable car lines on the ski slopes in the 2022 ski season in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities was calculated as 12.140.58 tons. According to these calculations, 86% of the carbon footprint of the ski facilities occurred because of electricity consumption. This can be associated with the increasing demand in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities and the intense use of cable car lines to cover this demand. These results, which were limited to Sarıkamış Ski Facilities in Kars in Turkey, indicate that it is necessary to turn to renewable energy sources in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities. Also, it can be argued that the increasing demands on skiing should be covered in an environmentally friendly manner with increasing awareness of environmentally friendly energy. It is inevitable to develop sustainable environmental and sports policies to resolve environmental problems such as climate change, global warming, and carbon footprint. This study, which was limited to only Sarıkamış Ski Facilities, is expected to prepare the ground for a study throughout Turkey, and it is also aimed to help the development of an environmentally friendly sports concept in Turkey.

Abstract:
The remarkable reduction of tsetse fly and its vector disease trypanosomosis in the South West zone of Nigeria has led to the development of agropastoralism in the zone. This study was carried out by administration of structured questionnaires to farmers in three towns (Oyo, Ogbomosho and Saki) in order to highlight some of the factors influencing production in the area. It was found that in all the three towns animals were maintained on free range grazing, browsing and offer of crop residues. The most favoured breed kept is the Bunaji and Ogbomoso had the highest concentration (52.16%) of this breed. Labour allocation among agropastoralists was based on sex. Diarrhoea was the prevalent disease among the adult animals in wet and dry seasons while sand eating was common among the calves. In all the centres, cattle constituted the major ruminant in stock(77%) while sheep and goats accounted for 15% and 8% respectively. A preponderance of female cattle over the male for all the breeds was recorded in all the towns, But Saki had the highest number of cattle in stock and Ovo the lowest. Feed supplements offered all year round were salt lick and grains. Most of the agropaturalists depended on the use of local herbs and such other orthodox methods of combating diseases affecting the herd.

One of the technologies to overcome is by planting drought tolerant varieties rice. Therefore, the assembly of drought tolerant varieties is carried out continuously by evaluating lines intended for drought stress. This study aimed to select, evaluate the decline in yield, and determine the drought tolerance index of rainfed lines resulting from advanced generation selection. Study-1 of drought stress selection experiment was carried out in WS 1 2016 (March – November) with 135 genetic lines and Mekongga as susceptible checks and Inpari 38 as resistant check planted in drought stress conditions (61-72 centibar / Kpa), and study-2 was an evaluation of selected strains carried out in WS 1 2017 (February – July) with 19 selected lines and 3 checks (Mekongga and Ciherang as susceptible check and Inpari 38 as resistant checks) by using a randomized block design with 3 replications. The results of the selection activities (Study-1) obtained as many as 19 of the best lines which had tolerance to drought stress and these lines were continued in further evaluation activities in rainfed lowland with optimum conditions (Study-2). The results showed that 4 of 19 lines were tolerant namely BP17586-2-0-JK-3-IND-2-SKI-10-PWK-1-SKI-2 (DSI - drought stress sensitivity index = 0.49), BP18354-1 -2-JK-3-IND-1-SKI-3-PWK-1-SKI-1 (DSI 0.49), BP18360-2-3-JK-1-IND-1-SKI-7-PWK-2SKI-1 (DSI 0.16), and BP18406c-JK-1-IND-0-SKI-3-PWK-2-SKI-1 (DSI 0.1). The BP18354-1-2-JK-3-IND-1-SKI-3-PWK-1-SKI-1 (Y = 4.77 tons ha-1) line was the best strain that had the potential for high yield better than the Inpari 38 Rainfed Check and had tolerance to stress. This strain has the potential to be further tested and developed in rain-fed rice fields.

Abstract:
"Aspenization" is an inherently political term that by the 1980s had evolved into a code word for "selling out" in the American West and elsewhere, yet it is as much a refection of changes that happened to ski bums as they "grew up," or came of age, as it is a refection of growth in a resort community. When we look at the Aspenization of Aspen itself, or of Telluride, we are looking at stories about places that change, but we are also exploring how some people might change, too, as they both grow older and conceptualize and re-conceptualize what particular ages mean when associated with mountain-town lifestyles.

Abstract:
Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and psychological human development that generally begins with the onset of physiologically normal puberty to the age of legal adulthood. This period of development corresponds roughly to the period between the ages of 10 and 19 years, which is consistent with the World Health Organization’s definition of ‘adolescence’. During this period adolescents need life skills to face the realities of life. Life skills help the young people to take positive actions to protect themselves and to promote health and meaningful social relationship. Social media like internet is playing a major role in maintaining social relations by becoming an integral part of many adolescents’ lives. The Internet can be known as a kind of global meeting place where people from all parts of the world can come together. The present study was conducted to assess the life skills of adolescents according to the usage of internet. The sample were adolescent students studying 7th, 8th and 9th standards in Chittoor district. Multi-stage stratified random sampling technique was used to collect the data. In the first stage, one private and one Govt. school were identified randomly from four towns of Chittoor district Viz., Chittoor, Madanapalle, Srikalahasti and Tirupati. In the next stage 7th, 8th and 9th standard students were selected from each school giving equal choice to girls and boys using systematic random sampling technique. Thus, 90 students from each school, 180 students from each town and 720 from four towns constituted the sample of data collection. The tools used were Internet Usage Questionnaire and Life Skills Self Rating Scale. Adolescents differed significantly in their life skills score based on their internet usage. Comparatively low internet users have more life skills score than heavy internet users. Results also revealed that there was significant negative correlation between amount of time spent in internet usage and life skills scores of adolescents. Int. J. Soc. Sci. Manage. Abstract:
Biological/genetic diversity is a key factor in the stability and disease tolerance of streetside tree populations. Low species diversity may leave the tree population more vulnerable to new stress environments, both abiotic and biotic. Monitoring and enriching the species diversity level has become an important issue in streetside tree planning and management. The present study introduces an index to species diversity in streetside tree populations (SDI). SDI allows quantitative comparisons of species diversity between tree populations. SDIs of 21 cities and towns are calculated based on literature published in the past 10 years. The diversity levels of streetside trees in our cities may have to be doubled to avoid species-specific catastrophic losses.

Abstract:
Although most people believe animations can be very effective for STEM instruction and engagement, research often leads to findings that they are not superior to static graphics or other information presentations. The reason for these failures is not inherent in animations. Rather, the failures often reflect non-adherence to principles of good graphics design and a lack of understanding of principles of STEM learning. Sci-Toons, a series of animations dealing with diverse STEM topics, were developed based on a theoretical learning framework and the use of teams comprised of individuals with scientific expertise and individuals with visual design expertise. The process employed in the development of these animations is presented along with data on the wide-spread dissemination of Sci-Toons, its impacts on viewers, and its impacts on students involved in their production.

Abstract:
A new ski resort village plan proposed for Lake Louise in Banff National Park triggered intense opposition at public hearings in 1972. Local proponents, backed by Imperial Oil, had entered into agreements to expand services at Lake Louise, which led to federal public consultations. We investigate Parks Canada’s early public consultation process and how it was institutionalized in federal policy making from 1964 to 1979. Public debate was significant and influenced political decisions in the Village Lake Louise controversy. The National and Provincial Parks Association of Canada, Bow Valley Naturalists, Environmental Law Association, mountain clubs, academics, and others advocated for protection as conservation lobbyists and the Government of Alberta also objected to the proposal, leading Minister Jean Chrétien to halt the plan. It was a win for citizens, environmentalists, and ecological integrity as Village Lake Louise debates became Canada’s town hall. Past environmental protection is relevant to civil society and public space in a moment of new approvals for massive ski hill industry expansions in national parks. Precedents in civil society and governance can inform understanding of public consultation and a new environmental politics.

This paper analyzes second episode of the popular dystopian sci-f show Black Mirror, “FifteenMillion Merits,” as a utopia for the capitalists that are in charge of the commune in which theepisode’s characters live. Through comparisons to American company towns and an analysis ofthe psychology that these capitalists employ, I come to the conclusion that, while a dystopia for thecitizens that the episode follows, this society is a utopia for those in charge. Furthermore, I positthat, even though the community we see is set far in the future and seems very removed from ourown world, it may not be as far away as we may like to think.

Abstract:
Background. Although several studies have been conducted on the lived experiences of persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) in high income countries, there is no published data on such experiences in Ghana. The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of persons with SCI in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region of Ghana. Material and Methods. A qualitative descriptive design involving thirteen participants was conducted at the Tamale Metropolis-Ghana. A purposive sampling technique was used to recruit participants, using the Neurosurgical Unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital as an outlet for recruitment of the sample. Data was gathered mainly through face-to-face in-depth interviews. The data was analyzed concurrently with data collection, using thematic content analysis. Ethical approval was obtained for the study from the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and the research unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital. Results. The three main themes that emerged from the data during analysis were “physical effects,” “psychological effects,” and “social issues.” Conclusion. The findings from the study suggest that SCI is a life threatening condition and that persons with SCI grapple with a myriad of physical symptoms that range from chronic pain and paralysis of lower and/or upper limbs, to bladder and bowel incontinence. These physical symptoms have significant psychological and social effects on the functioning of the affected persons.

Abstract:
Kirovsk town, located near Hibiny Mountain in the Murmansk region, is known as the industrial center as well as the favorable area for tourism industry development. On the example of Kirovsk town we examined the problem of functional urban zoning of the territory with intensive tourism and recreational development. Based on anintegrated assessment of the territory, analysis of space images and the general scheme of the city development we created the map of functional planning of Kirovsk town and territories of its jurisdiction. The content of existing and projected planning zoneswas disclosed and detailed. In total 10 categories of urban landuse are identified: residential, public, tourist and recreational, sport, industrial, agricultural lands, parks and forest plantations, etc. Current spatial-functional conflicts between the zones used for public utilities, industrial facilities and the zones of potential tourism and recreational (mountain skiing) development are defined as well as the recommendations for its mitigations are proposed. The ecological risks of urban development are analyzed, and the list of environment protection actions is proposed for the functional zones of Kirovsk town. The territories were ranked by favorable and relatively favorable zones of tourist-recreational and sports-recreational developmenttaking into account the identified natural and natural-anthropogenic processes. The conclusion of necessity to adjust the territorial city structure to its new role of tourism, recreational and ski center is made. The general factors, which should be considered in process of urban development, are identified. They include the comprehensive design of city environment considering the greening, the recultivation of industrial plots, located close to tourism and recreational, public zones of the city center, and the features of urban landscape and revealed risks of natural and natural-anthropogenic processes.

Abstract:
The ski resort town of St Moritz, Switzerland, is partially constructed on a large creeping landslide, which has been causing damage to buildings and infrastructure. At the town centre, the landslide is constrained by a rock outcrop, creating a compression zone in the sliding mass. After decades of gradual slowing down,s in the beginning of 1990s the landslide started to accelerate, in spite of the fact that the average yearly precipitation and the pore water pressure on the sliding surface remained fairly constant. The paper shows that a constrained creeping landslide experiences progressive failure caused by the propagation of a zone of intense shearing along the slip surface resulting in significant earth pressure increase and visco-plastic yielding of soil in the compression zone. This basic physical mechanism, relying on extensive laboratory and field tests and long-term displacement monitoring, explains the paradox of the St Moritz landslide acceleration. Although the model predicts that the landslide could eventually slow down, its displacements may become excessive for some buildings, requiring an early warning system and further stabilization of the historic Leaning Tower. In general, by predicting the onset of yielding, the model can provide an important timeframe for stabilization of constrained landslides.

Abstract:
In the present study, two time periods were selected to obtain critical data, the first period is 2010-2019, and the second one is 2022. The literature related to winter sports tourism from 2010-2019 and 2022 was checked to review the history of winter sports tourism in China. Winter sports tourism development in China was obtained from 2010-2019 and 2022. The comparative analysis of a large amount of data found that the development of China's winter sports tourism industry is linear, and the overall development level is rising. Before 2015, China's ski resort infrastructure was poor, the number of people involved in winter sports tourism was low, and the demand for winter sports tourism in China had to be met abroad. After Beijing won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics in 2015, China proposed to let 300 million people Participation in winter sports, and the country officially vigorously developed the winter sports industry. 2016-2022, China's winter sports tourism heavy asset projects close to 1 trillion, and the total investment reached 2.47 trillion yuan. China's winter sports characteristics in the town gradually increased, improving the construction of ski resort infrastructure, deep excavation of cultural connotations, and active propaganda. Whether the number of people involved in skiing, the category of people involved in skiing, or the level of participants in skiing has a greater changed than before.

Kata-kata kunci: jembatan pelengkung, lifting, heavy crane, pancang baja.Abstract: The bridge is an integral part of the road infrastructure that is built to support the connectivity and mobility of the Indonesian people in economic activities. To ensure that the bridge construction is built safely and according to the design, it is necessary to choose the right construction method, especially for the 140 m long steel arch which is the main span of the Sei Wampu Bridge. The Sei Wampu Bridge is a bridge located on the national road and connects the Stabat area with Tanjung Pura in North Sumatra Province. The Sei Wampu Bridge construction package ended the contract in 2019 where the main span floor system of the bridge in the form of stringers and cross girders was installed in the middle of the river using a shoring system. Therefore, following up on the follow-up tender plan, innovation in the lifting method of arch elements and hangers is needed to complete the main span installation work. Using a literature study and field review approach, the lifting method was determined using a tower backstay and segment lifting using a heavy crane on a temporary concrete platform on both sides of the abutment. From the results of the analysis of checking the radius and load chart of the crane for the heaviest segment of the Top Chord (TC), a heavy crane of 450 tons was chosen to carry out lifting 6 segments in the Stabat direction and a heavy crane 450 tons + 180 tons superlift for lifting 9 segments in the Tj direction. There are 9 temples with steel pile platform foundations of 60 cm. With the lifting method determined, a tender for the construction package of the Sei Wampu Bridge can also be carried out. Keywords: arch bridge, lifting, heavy crane, steel pile.

Abstract:
Language was born naturally and has word that have “twin meaning” with other words called synonym word (ruigigo). As language which is have a tons of expression, Japanese have so many ruigigo that spreaded in class word including noun, verb, adverb, ect. Especially in class word noun, focus on this research is about to analyse three formality-noun which is not mention the meaning of the word itself but build the meaning of the sentence. The “three” of formality-noun are toki, koro, and sai that have meaning “pada saat” in Indonesia. Purpose of this research is to find, to research the utilities, differences/equality, and to analyse the atmosphere, condition as possibility to replacing each others in Japanese sentence. This research using descriptive analytic research method. This method will find out an equality/difference, utility condition, meaning, and possibility of replace as answer of the problems. The result of this reaserch is toki, koro and sai could translated “pada saat” in Indonesia directly while koro has meaning “sekitar” in Indonesia as well. Density of synonym that showed by three formality-noun toki, koro, and sai make toki could replacing koro and sai in every single condition except when toki accompanying with condition which is sai cannot. In other side, koro and sai has a little chance to be replaceable in sentence because koro and sai have a tons of requirement to replacing each other. All of the substitution have impact to meaning, period, and emphasize of the sentence.

Abstract:
Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district is an agricultural production center in Deli Serdang Regency. The area of irrigated paddy field in Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district comprises of 3,610 ha and 1,616 ha of non-irrigated paddy field. The farmer association groups (tani mitra) consisting of Farmer Group "Pasar II" and Farmer Group "Mulia" are located in Tanjung Selamat Village. Much land in Tanjung Selamat Village has been converted into an industrial area; previously the paddy field area reached 600 hectares, but only 200 hectares remains now. The Farmer Groups "Pasar II" and "Mulia" consist of 30 and 76 farmers with paddy rice field area of 25 ha and 23 ha respectively, and rice productivity amounts to 6.2 tons/ha and 7 tons/ha. The problems of the farmers were the high land use conversion resulting in reduced harvested area and only a few farmers change the local location-specific organic materials into organic fertilizers independently. The purposes of this community service activity were to increase the farmers' income through the implementation of salibu technology whereby farmers can harvest 2-3 times in one planting and to increase the farmers’ understanding and knowledge about the manufacturing process of organic fertilizer and pesticide. The solutions offered were including counseling, a training and plot demonstration on salibu technology, and the production of bokashi straw. The outcome of this IbM has resulted in several things: bokashi of compressed hay with Local Microorganism from cattle intestine and Trichoderma, organic pesticide products based on Corynebacterium and Trichoderma, and farming analysis with salibu technology.

Abstract:
Snow cover is an effective accumulator of dust fallout and provides objective information on the level of pollution, but its sampling in large areas takes a long time. The use of remote sensing data (RSD) makes it possible to significantly simplify the assessment of the dust load in the atmosphere. Based on RSD from the town of Tobolsk, we evaluated the information value of various indices used to assess the distribution and properties of snow cover (NDSI, normalized S3 index, and SCI). Data on dust load and physicochemical properties of the snow obtained during sampling and subsequent analysis were compared with the spectral properties of the snow cover. It was determined that the dust load in the town averaged 32,1 mg/m2 per day, which is approximately 8 times higher than the background values. The degree of alkalinization is moderate, an increase in pH and salinity of snowmelt waters is observed. In comparison with other functional zones of the town, no increase in dust fallout was detected in the industrial zone (Tobolsk Petrochemical Plant). The level of dustiness is maximum in the zone of multistory buildings and on the streets with the highest traffic intensity. It was established that spectral indices indicate the amount of solid impurities in snow and the level of alkalinization. A statistically significant correlation was found between the amount of insoluble particles in snow and the S3 index as well as between pH and the SCI index. The paper concludes that these indices can be used to assess the environmental situation in urbanized areas.

Abstract:
What is happening in the global economy change is inevitable ska-outlined the way forward on the situation of small and medium-sized cities, providing both positive and negative effects, providing new opportunities for the development or threatening the very existence of municipalities. The negative processes include the acceleration of planetary migration flows, the difference in the socio-economic development of different regions of the country, the geographical remoteness of settlements from each other, the unresolved problems of single-industry towns, as well as competition from megacities. At the same time, a number of positive processes (better environment, peace and quiet, affordable housing) make small and medium-sized cities an attractive place to stay and rest for many citizens of our country and foreigners. The contradictory trends suggest arguments for and against the consolidation of urban settlements. Due to the ambiguity of the situation in the development of state programs for the development of urban areas of small and medium format, it is necessary to approach each specific case separately, taking into account the peculiarities of the population point, trying to preserve the diversity of urban construction in Russia. A skillful combination of state support and rapid response to global economic and social trends will enable the best way to realize the benefits of small and medium-sized cities.

Abstract:
Knowing the quantity and the composition of waste is essential to designing and delivering sound waste management policies and waste management systems. Bhutan’s 12th Five-Year Development Plan emphasizes effective waste management as one of its key performance indicators and globally, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development emphasizes the importance of waste in two of its seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. In 2019, the Bhutan National Statistics Bureau undertook its first ever survey of solid waste management. The survey covered waste generating sectors including households, commercial units, institutes, health centers, industries, Government offices and vegetable markets. Results show Bhutan generated more than 170 metric tons of waste daily – equivalent to 170,000 kilograms of sugar. More than 50 percent of solid wastes came from households, almost 50 percent was food waste, and around 50 percent was potentially recyclable. The survey posed many challenges for Bhutan, a land-locked least developed country in the Eastern Himalayas in South Asia, yet provided the opportunity to strengthen stakeholder engagement in the Bhutan National Statistical System and delivered statistics which meet a practical use for Bhutan and its people.

Abstract:
This study aims to test if there is a positive relationship between role ambiguity and cyberloafing, assuming higher role ambiguity, the lower cyberloafing is, on the other hand, the lower the ambiguity role, the lower is cyberloafing. The research subjects were all employees at PT. Furnilux Indonesia consisting of 105 people or commonly termed as saturated sampling method. Data were obtained from the scale to measure role ambiguity and cyberloafing. The calculations performed by prerequisite analysis uses shows that r = 0.544, and p = 0.000 (p<0.05) showing that there was a positive relationship between role ambiguity and cyberloafing. The results of this study indicated that the contribution (R2) is given by the variable role of ambiguity tons of cyberloafing up to 29.6 percent, the remaining 70.4 percent was affected by other variable not studied. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the hypothesis can be accepted.

Abstract:
The West Branch of the Little River in Stowe, Lamoille County, Vermont has been widely studied, and this area is regularly subject to flooding. The West Branch joins the Little River, which flows into the Winooski and drains into Lake Champlain. This area has undergone extensive development as an economic response to the ski resort industry over the past 50 years, and the recreational pathway is on the banks of the river. The Little River is adjusting to the loss of historic floodplain area, channel modifications (straightening and gravel mining), and runoff changes. In this project, a DEM with 10 and 30 meters resolution will be used to determine the watershed area for the outlet point at the south of Stowe for hydrological analysis. This project intends to describe the watershed flow direction with a unit hydrograph that shows when water discharge at the outlet is at its height during a rainfall event and produce the floods prediction map by predicting the nature of flood events to help in planning and responding to flood events effectively using ArcGIS Pro 2.0. The results show the time it takes water to flow to the outlet ranges from 0 seconds (rain that falls on the outlet itself) to over 8 hours and 46 minutes. The amount of water has accumulated, indicating that water will flow at its fastest when funneling toward the outlet point downstream of the town with no exception, indicating that water will flow at its fastest when funneling toward the outlet point downstream of the town.

Abstract:
The Government of Bangladesh has identified food security as an important factor contributing to its socio-economic stabilization and development. Bangladesh has made a steady progress in the expansion of food production. But because of the increasing population pressure there has been an extensive use of land to meet the growing demand for food. Despite the growth in food production and its availability, food insecurity is still a major problem mainly because of the lack of purchasing power and thus of access to food, especially for the ultra poor community. This paper focuses on the availability of food as an essential element of the concept of food security and role of government to get food sufficiency. In addition to rice and wheat that constitute the staple food of Bangladesh, the paper deals with the production and availability issues of other major food commodities, such as potato, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables and fruits, and fisheries and livestock products. The food production of the country both rice and wheat, was 10.46 million metric tons in the 1971-72. Bangladesh attained self sufficiency in food production in 2010-2011 with a gross production of rice and wheat of 35.3 million metric tons which marginally met the country’s requirement of 23.64 million metric tones for the population of 148.69 million, taking 453.6 g per capita per day requirement. Production of vegetables and fruits has increased, from 1.5 million tons and 1.46 million tons in 2001-02 to 7.19 million tons and 3.56 million tons in 2009-10 respectively. Fish production increase from 2.0 million tons in 2001-02 to 3.0 million tons in 2010-11. Livestock product (meat, milk and egg) has also increase 50% over that last ten years. Of these, domestic production is critical in ensuring food availability at both national and household levels. Government of Bangladesh is trying to integrate and address all the elements associated with food security to achieve touch the MDG setting for the country. However, in recent years, the Government is putting additional efforts to increase production of important food crops as well as fisheries and livestock. Abstract:
Present status of solid waste generation of Jahangirnagar University campus was assessed and its probable utilization was examined and a suitable management option is prescribed. Study includes waste generation in the teachers and staff quarters, central cafeteria and different student’s halls. It is found that every day about five metric tons of waste generated from different locations and they are dumped into the open environment and deteriorating the environment. Calculations suggest that 30 kW/h electricity along with 300 metric tons of compost can be generated from the organic part of the waste in the campus every year. This electricity can be used for continuous electrification of research laboratories or class rooms. The compost generated from the solid waste, can replace the organic and inorganic manure for gardening in the campus which can save a handsome amount of money from the yearly budget of Jahangirnagar University in this sector. Abstract:
Cycling and general sustainable mobility has become a topical issue around Europe, and gradually also in Latvia, including Valmiera – a medium size town, which is a research-base for this study where the governance and development of the municipal cycling infrastructure is analysed. The rapid growth of cycling in Valmiera not only highlights some deficiencies in urban infrastructure developments, but also reveals the management problems: the expectations and needs of users of different means of transportation and also pedestrians are not met. Looking towards solving various cycling development issues, it is necessary, first of all, to develop an understanding of system’s approach and the systemic governance of the cycling infrastructure. The urban transport/mobility system must be developed as a whole, integrating cycling mobility in it as an independently and continuously developing component, promoting a process of cooperation between all parties involved. Thus, to facilitate the cycling mobility of inhabitants in Valmiera, the involvement/participation of all the interested parties shall be pro-actively communicated – informed, educated/trained, pro-cycling behaviour encouraged. During this integrative case study, both quantitative and qualitative research methods were applied complementary: analysis of documents, infrastructure observations in the town with photo documentation, survey of inhabitants, also in-depth semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions. Additionally, a participatory observation was conducted through participation in cycling activities, forums, working groups, etc., elaborating suggestions for the municipal planning document - Transport Infrastructure Development Concept of Valmiera.
