Once occupied by a shallow lake, this karstic depression (polje) has been used by the local population through time for timber production, herding and, more recently, irrigated agriculture. The study of the long-term evolution of this rural community is proposed to highlight in an historical perspective the introduction, functioning and shortcomings of one of the most impressive pre-industrial “renewable Aeolian

Full textThe constant transformation of the contemporary world points to an urgent need for new descriptions of reality, able to synthesize the complex relationships between direct decision makers in socioeconomic systems and point to actions that ensure their sustainability. One proposal to deal with this issue in a strategic environment is the hypothesis of symbiotic dynamics. This theoretical approach, despite providing consistent option in other areas of knowledge, still lacked conceptual expansion and validation of certain assumptions to legitimize it in management. This research aims to validate this effort and determine the principles that make the emergence and maintenance of sustainable socioeconomic systems. Therefore, a search based on synthetic ethology experiments was built specifically to validate the hypotheses in question. This method found that organizations such as socio-technical systems have autopoietic dynamics, where the incorporation and size of new components are the most influential factors in their survival. When interconnected with other agents, including those of the same type, these organizations make up a socioeconomic environment subject to disruptions that lead to different quality levels. In this context, the work of these frameworks to support the environmental stability, seeking to establish an appropriate balance between consumption and resource regeneration, promises to increase the chances of a socioeconomic system perpetuating it over time.

Full textOver the past 20 years, the agroforestry systems has been part of an alternative proposal for agriculture production, especially for family farms, because this production model favors and contributes to a production with environmental sustainability because their forms of managements. Thus the aim of this study is demonstrate the feasibility of this system of production within and outside the Reserva Legal inside the Apiaú city, Mucajaí city, Roraima, Brasil. For both we used like material and field methods, questionnaires, interviews and observations holistic. Witch were compiled and transformed into socioeconomic assessments of economic feasibility assessment of the SAF. Thus it was found that the study site there is low demographic, result of adverse conditions of survival on the local, is the lack of public policies, infrastructure, financial incentive, lack of preparation to deal with the land by the rural farmers and technology diffusion capable to keep them in production conditions with equity to patronal system. So is in this sense that had the intention to demonstrate how production alternative to small farmer in the area of legal reserve through the SAF may be an option of quantitative and qualitative, by virtue of its ability to better use natural resources in agricultural production while minimizing the use of non-renewable inputs and conserving the environment, generating income and gain socioeconomic local population.

Full textThe present study as a main objective to evaluate the socioeconomic importance of the Fumiculture for the Familiar Agriculture of the region of Sobradinho, a country located in the Vale do Rio Pardo, State of the Rio Grande do Sul. The research dealt with the characterization of the agrarian space, showing the particularitities of the evolution process and differentiation of the local agriculture. In this sense, it was aimed of to observe the relation of the man with the nature using as a reference the systemic approach, more specifically the concept of agrarian system. The study found out the existence of an agriculture of familiar matrix of the colonial type, formed by a colonization process of European settlers beginning in the midst of 19th century. Initially with the emphasis of the diversification and great autonomy, this colonial agriculture gradually adopted the culture of the tobacco that quickly was changed into the main activity of income of the country. In this perspective, the current period is characterized for the great dependence of the income of the productive units generated by the specialized systems of Tobacco production, beyond the loss of autonomy of the families, where it was identified that the majority of the agricultulrists only produces the tobacco or tobacco and grains for commercialization, inverting the previous productive process diversified, based in the production and sales of nourishing products and for subsistence level.
