Full textTaking for granted that the Industrial Archaeology considers the evidences of man’s work in the territory as cultural heritage, the research was addressed to study the complex hydroelectric system of Adige river carried out between the nineteenth and twentieth century, between Pilcante (Tn) and Zevio (Vr), with particular attention to the components for hydropower, in most cases, still working. It was taken note of the current state of the sites for power generation, recording artifacts for the production, infrastructures, residential areas and examining what has been done in terms of protection and their preservation. Of such reality, history of the realization and the inclusion of such artifacts in the territory has been investigated. The focus was initially intended to update the bibliographical panorama on the theme. Furthermore, on the basis of unpublished archival sources, it has been persisted with less investigated aspects, with the aim of reconstructing the historical memory and returning an identity to artifacts worthy of preservation. From my surveys carried out in national and international field, it was showed that hydroelectric power stations, dismantled or still working and the related environmental contexts, characterized by the presence of water and by undeveloped green areas, are strategic elements for the redevelopment of the historical landscape for a future plan aiming at an urban regeneration. On the basis of these premises, they were evaluated cases of renewal and enhancement of power plants contemporary with the Veronese ones, with historical and environmental characteristics related to my cases. This in order to identify possible solutions for the preservation and enjoyment of these areas, in the perspective of an intelligent management of the local industrial heritage. In order to provide the interpretative keys for future plans of enhancement of this heritage, they were highlighted two levels according to which we can consider the systems. A first level, macroscopic, aimed to consider the synergy, functional, historical and economic, between the individual cases in the territorial complex hydroelectric network. A second level, analytic, investigates the role of the industrial components in the interpretation of the historical structure of the local context in which they occur.
