Abstract:
Abstract Available scholarship on trans* pornography has favored mainstream studio and alternative/queer productions. Relatively little work has examined the phenomenon of trans* micropornography: user-made remixes of copywritten source material that are shared online within networks of pornographic fandoms. Trans* identities hold a significant purchase on microporn networks, evidenced by the ubiquity of trans* bodies and the work of trans* microporn video makers, who while hidden behind screen names and avatars, largely identify as trans* women and cis male “sissies.” Drawing on textual analysis of these videos and their methods of addressing the viewer, the author identifies a practice within microporn networks that she calls trans* porno remix (TPR). Through digital editing techniques, TPR creates haptic spaces for the viewer to imagine themselves as trans* subjects. Through modes of direct address to the viewer, on-screen captions, and audio-visual montage, TPR videos construct a trans* imaginary that is coproduced with the porn consumer and create space for viewers to experiment with gendered embodiment through imagining a future-oriented transformation into a trans* subject.

Abstract:
For the past decade, queer and trans rappers have been the dominant force in New Orleans bounce, a dance-centric hip hop genre specific to that city. Inspired by the language of bounce rappers themselves, such as Sissy Nobby, who self-identify as gay and reclaim a once pejorative term to openly express their sexual and gender identities through their performances, music journalist Alison Fensterstock coined the term “sissy bounce” to describe this current phenomenon. Since the genre first developed in the early 1990s, dancing, or “shaking” as it is called locally, has gone hand-in-hand with the music. More recently, bounce dance styles, including twerking, have drawn mainstream attention, fueled in part by controversial performances such as those by Miley Cyrus. “Twerking” is now part of the national vocabulary, but is largely misunderstood, especially its distinctly queer iterations. Drawing on interviews and fieldwork conducted in New Orleans, this article illustrates the ways in which gendered shaking styles have been adapted among its queer and trans participants and its role as kinetic community response to trauma inflicted by Hurricane Katrina. It demonstrates that shaking is an example of both a racialized and gendered performance and a performative act in which gender and racial identity are co-constructed. Finally, it considers the implications of twerking’s exposure on a national stage and how New Orleans bounce artists have reacted. Bounce music and dance are interconnected forms of expression; considering them together helps us to better understand the relationship between sound and gesture in hip hop.

Abstract:
The Widodomartani community has practiced land management in their yard with simple agroforestry as a form of intensification. For the younger generation to understand the practice of agroforestry from an early age, it is necessary to introduce it so that they are motivated to practice it as part of the family income. There are 4 forms of agroforestry, namely trees planted regularly with non-tree plants, there are 2 compositions, namely sengon trees with kimpul, Japanese papaya, sissy. Trees were planted around the land and non-tree trees, such as mahogany, cassava, sweet potato, chili, papaya, ginger, turmeric, galangal, and sissy were planted inside. Mixed trees with 2 trees, namely the composition of mahogany trees, coffee, and mahogany trees, wadang, melinjo, coffee, sissy. Mixed trees next to it are land planted with non-tree 1 composition of mahogany, melinjo, ketapang, johar and the land next to it is banana, papaya, moringa, ginger, chili, spinach, tomato, eggplant, sissy. 2 plants are trying to be more popularized, namely the Sissy plant and Cassava or Cassava. The sissy plant is popularized because it is easy to grow in various conditions, can help treat intestinal and digestive disorders, and is easy to consume like spinach. Cassava or cassava plants for added value, one of which is used to develop Samia silkworm silk.

Abstract:
This essay argues for a queer rereading of José Antonio Villarreal’s classic Chicano novel, Pocho, by highlighting the role of “books” as a leitmotif that functions as a queering mechanism for protagonist Richard Rubio. In Pocho, books and all they signify code a spectrum of queer (“soft,” “ruined”) masculinity, from male effeminacy and emasculation to homosexuality and other non-heteronormative desires. I analyze how the narrative places Richard Rubio in a lineage of two queer masculine characters in the novel, René Soto and Joe Pete Manõel, demonstrating the queer continuities symbolized by and associated with the leitmotif of books. My analysis of Pocho seeks to intervene in current scholarly discussions about queer reading practices, gay Chicano and Latino literary production, and the limits of conventional categorization of literature. Ultimately, a queer analysis of Pocho reveals its uneasy, if not troubled, literary categorization as an otherwise normative and formative “first” canonical Chicano novel and bildungsroman, creating new possibilities for contemporary rereadings of such historic, canonical Chicano works.

This article is result of library research with a normative legal approach. Legal materials and data were obtained from Islamic legal norms regarding inheritance and khuntsa obtained from the texts of the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as the opinions of the jurists. This thesis discusses the distribution of khuntsa inheritance based on the opinion of Imam Ali As-Shobuni and Imam Abu Hanifah. People who do not have a clear gender status, not male and not female, are called khuntsa in Islamic law. One of the problems of khuntsa is in determining the right of inheritance. The Qur'an does not clearly state the portion of khuntha inheritance. This study concludes that in the unclear gender of khuntsa, it can be determined by two things, namely first, signs of maturity and second, where does urine come from. Abstract:
In a scholarly yet playful conversation, the authors explore why analytic thought about trans remains so intransigently difficult. They propose that countertansferential responses to trans patients manifest not just in clinical work but also as blockages to psychoanalytic theorizing. They draw on extensive experience treating trans and non-binary patients, on teaching and supervisory work, and on analytic scholarship to think about why and how theorizing on trans stalls. Whereas in the social realm trans bodies are often hyper-sexualized, in metapsychology and the consulting room trans is notably desexualized. What is the cost of that and why does it occur? The authors locate the problem in the disaggregation of gender from the sexual, arguing that not only has this separation outlived its (once exigent) metapsychological utility, but that it is itself a defense against the anxiety of polymorphous perversity and psychic bisexuality that trans bodies can awaken in analysts of all genders, and especially in cisgender analysts.

Abstract:
A biographical film is a film that tells the life story of the character. There are many messages and values contained in biographical films, because they are taken from true stories. One of them is the film Guru Bangsa Tjokroaminoto. This film tells the journey of a fighter and pioneer of Indonesian independence, Haji Oemar Said Tjokroaminoto. The focus of this study is to find out the representation of masculinity from HOS Tjokroaminoto and how the impact of this masculine trait on film audiences, masculinity is the social role, behavior and meaning assigned to men. The masculinity indicators are taken from Deborah David & Robert Brannon's theory of masculinity, namely No Sissy Stuff, Be a Big Wheel, Be a Sturdy Oak, Give em Hell. This study uses a qualitative research method, while to examine the film using theAnalysis approach Framing from Zong dang Pan & Gerald M. Kosicki. The results showed that HOS Tjokroaminoto represented the masculinity of Be a Big Wheel, Be a Sturdy Oak, Give em Hell. However, the researcher did not find that HOS Tjokroaminoto represents the masculinity of No Sissy Stuff, because in his daily life he uses jarit cloth, while the jarit itself is identical to the cloth worn by women. The impact of HOS Tjokroaminoto's masculinity on film audiences is that some of the characteristics of HOS Tjokroaminoto's masculinity should be imitated by the current generation.

Abstract:
Abstract The construct traditional masculinity ideology (TMI, Levant & Richmond, 2016), like the construct dominant masculinities (Coles, 2009; Messerschmidt, 2019), refers to culturally-based principles about proper gender practices for men. The present study aimed to create a briefer and psychometrically stronger form of the Male Role Norms Scale (MRNS), a long-standing and important measure of TMI. Using an archival data set (N = 626) with men age 25 and older, the MRNS was shortened using a set of recommended practices. Confirmatory factor analysis and assessment of measurement invariance showed the resulting MRNS-BF satisfies good fit principles with configural, metric, yet not reliable scalar invariance for age. It is a 6-item measure whose common factor measures TMI through two dimensions that mimic tenets Brannon (1976) and Connell (1995) theorized as underlying principles of masculinity ideologies in Western cultures: Earning and maintaining Respect/status, and No sissy stuff/avoidance of femininity in gender practices. Mean scores importantly show perhaps generational, certainly age cohort differences – aging men differed from established and middle-aged men by more moderately endorsing norms that specify men must strive to earn others’ respect and the cultural emphasis on no sissy stuff. Younger age cohorts strongly adopted principles of gender equality. These observed differences must be interpreted with great caution, since the men in the three age groups did not seem to have a common zero point. Still, the MRNS-BF has good psychometric properties, and its brevity can assist future research on how gender guidelines influence aging men’s health decisions and behavior.

Abstract:
This literary research paper employs psychoanalytic literary theory to delve into the complex interplay between identity formation and transgender experiences in Jacob Tobia’s memoir titled Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story. Through the lens of psychoanalysis, the study aims to unravel the intricate layers of self-discovery, acceptance, and resistance present in the text. By closely examining the text, the paper explores how psychoanalytic concepts like the unconscious, symbolism, and repression contribute to an enriched understanding of transgender characters' psychological landscapes. The analysis focuses on the representation of transgender characters in literature, examining how their narratives echo and diverge from psychoanalytic frameworks such as those proposed by Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan. The paper argues that psychoanalytic approaches can shed light on the internal conflicts and external societal pressures that shape transgender identities within the literary realm. Through carefully examining character motivations, symbolism, and narrative structures, the study elucidates how these works engage with psychoanalytic concepts to offer nuanced and empathetic portrayals of transgender experiences.Furthermore, this research explores the broader implications of employing psychoanalytic perspectives in the analysis of transgender literature, contending that such an approach can deepen our understanding of the complex and often subconscious dynamics at play in the construction of gender identity. Drawing connections between psychoanalytic theory and literary representation, this paper contributes to ongoing discussions surrounding the psychological dimensions of transgender experiences in literature, offering insights into the intricate relationship between identity formation and psychoanalytic frameworks within transgender narratives.
