Abstract:
Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) maturity model is conceptualized as a five-stage maturity model. To identify the maturity stage of SISP, a model for assessment of SISP is developed. The development of these models is based on the ‘Integral Engineering’ approach and a unique implementation of the Analytical Network Process theory (ANP). The SISP assessment model is structured as a multi-order system. High level constructs are presented in this paper. A new approach to SISP offers improving our understanding of the concept of SISP, and a means of structured evaluation and reformlation of SISP. The SISP assessment model can be used as an early warning diagnostic tool to draw attention to particular aspects of the SISP that need improvement or to justify the undertaking of SISP.

Abstract:
In this paper Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) maturity models are empirically validated in Australian environment. A research instrument used to determine the degree of SISP maturity in Australian organisations is described. While empirical testing of a five-stage SISP model has only confirmed the existence of three levels of SISP maturity, statistical methods confirmed the adequacy of the establishment of the SISP assessment model as a third-order system. The study also opens the way for SISP thinking beyond the conventional approaches by introducing the Analytic Network Process and the Analytic Hierarchy Process methods to reduce complexity of SISP measurement in a natural and structural way. By using these methods, it was possible to obtain a single overall measure of SISP maturity, thus overcoming a problem of result synthesis measured by different scales.

Abstract:
This study examines the use of formal Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) approaches and methodologies in Australia. The authors analyze the relationships between SISP success, SISP objectives, company size/type and SISP approaches and methodologies. The authors find that the most popular methodologies are not the most successful. Emerging methodologies, such as Fuzzy Cognitive Maps and Information Engineering, could be considered for improving the success of SISP. They also find that a combination of SISP approaches is more successful than the implementation of any one approach. This can be interpreted that the boundary lines that distinguish theoretical approaches are blurred and that SISP theory needs a new way of thinking to stay relevant for practice. In addition, many findings of significant importance to SISP practitioners, in the context of various industries, are presented.

Abstract:
Strategic information systems planning (SISP) is more difficult in today’s world of rapid change and uncertainty. The dynamic changes in the environment require a fit between SISP and internal resources of the firm. A need exists to study SISP success based on a broad set of organizational attributes of firm. In this regard, a resource-based view (RBV) has gained increasing dominance in the strategic management field and views organization as a bundle of resources. Reviewing SISP literature reveals little on what the essential Information Systems’ formulation (IS) capabilities for SISP are and how they affect success. In this study, the relationship between capability factors and SISP success are explored. Capability factors were compiled through literature review and validated by using interviews. Hypotheses were developed and tested utilizing responses collected from 167 medium to large Iranian organizations. Using PLS for data analysis, the results show the important role of capability factors in SISP success that could be beneficial for both practice and research.

Abstract:
Worldwide spending of enterprises on information technologies (IT) in 2011 is projected to total USD 2.6 trillion with 350 enterprises each investing more than USD 1 billion. Despite such large and rapidly growing investment figures, the success rates of IT deployment projects over the past 20 years remained relatively low: approximately half of IT deployment projects were unsuccessful. Literature review reveals that inadequate strategic information system planning (SISP) is one of the main reasons for low deployment success rates of IT deployment projects and, thus, one of the current critical IT management issues. For this reason researchers and practitioners in the SISP field are currently directing their efforts into expanding the traditional understanding of SISP as a pure IT planning activity. In addition to the activities dedicated to the planning of IT investments, new SISP models should also include the contextual activities that enable adaptation of the deployed IT to the environment and knowledge transfer from the environment. In this paper, the authors propose an extended SISP model that includes influences of environmental stakeholders. The developed SISP model was empirically tested on a sample from the population of 1000 largest enterprises in Slovenia. The authors believe that the findings of their research and the suggested extended SISP model will improve understanding of SISP success factors in enterprises and consequently enable them to manage their IT investments with greater success.

Abstract:
Over the last few decades, technological advances in computer and telecommunications technologies have promised much to organisations. Yet it is clear that, in practice, the reality generally seems to have fallen well short of the ideal. Organisations seeking strategic advantage from their information systems frequently undertake a Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) exercise as an initial step. However, despite the substantial increase in SISP activity over the last decade, it would appear that most strategies have not been successfully implemented. In this paper, some important recent research in support of this contention is summarised, and key problems in SISP implementation are identified. It is argued that: (i) the objective of data and systems integration is a distinguishing characteristic of SISP work; (ii) such integration may cause major changes to the balance of organisational power; (iii) SISP implementation is unlikely to be successful unless political turbulence caused by potential power losses is adequately addressed; and (iv) political turbulence may well be the single most important issue facing SISP implementors. Strategy implementation problems are illustrated through reference to a recent, major (three-year) case study of a SISP implementation in one of Australia's largest organisations. We conclude by presenting some suggestions aimed at offering a way forward out of the current malaise.

Abstract:
Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) has been a topic of considerable importance and interest to Information Systems (IS) professionals since the 1970's and consistently ranked as a top issue for IS executives in both developed and developing countries. Studies have shown that SISP can assist manager in defining the information systems, develop IS strategy, and allocate resources for IS strategy. However, the use of SISP in healthcare sectors in developing countries like Bangladesh is underdeveloped and under-researched. This study examined the benefits of SISP in healthcare organization in developing countries in general and Bangladesh in particular. This study also focused on the current practice and key implementation challenges of Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) in healthcare sectors in developing and transitional economies. Finally, some recommendations are proposed to overcome the challenges using a ‘hybrid’ approach.

<p>Little is known about how Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are linked in a developing country. SISP has also been a concern for many in the Information Technology (IT) industry and IT based businesses as a whole. This research seeks to address this shortcoming by exploring what constitutes a typical SME, what role Information Systems (ISs) play in SMEs and what role SISP plays in SMEs. Consequently, a Delphi panel comprising a questionnaire in the first phase and an interview in the second phase was employed. Some correlation was found to exist with the literature, with the exception of the role of IS in SMEs, whether SISP is an on-going activity, and the fact that SISP can be outsourced. Abstract This paper aims to illustrate how the case study methodology may be used in novel and productive ways for research into strategy practice. Instigated by the quest for a research design that could target the ‘practice’ of strategic information systems planning (SISP), a review of the strategy-as-practice (SAP) literature uncovered parallels with the SISP domain from a methodological standpoint. A SAP perspective was employed in conjunction with the case study methodology to investigate SISP (the strategy practice) on the part of senior managers (the practitioners) at the meso level (the level of praxis). Ultimately, this approach was found to offer original insights and uncover valuable new directions for future academic enquiry.

Abstract:
The view of evaluating Strategic Information Systems Planning (Grover & Segars, 2005) process and effectiveness has matured. However, the inter-organizational view or network view is understudied. The introduction of information strategy in networks seems more reactive than proactive; many organizations continue to use SISP as a way to support their internal decision-making process without actually cooperating with their business partners. This article aims to qualitatively explore and validate, respectively, context and process dimensions in two inter-organizational cases: a network of municipalities in Finland and a network of healthcare organizations in the Netherlands. The first case study explores the network context and theorizes how network context influences inter-organizational SISP, discovering that the inter-organisational SISP process is influenced by the context, especially by the role of trust and complexity. The second case study is the exploration of three process dimensions: contingency, certainty and contractual agreements.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT In Brazil, meat inspection occurs in a decentralized manner and consists of three types: (i) federal inspection (SIF), (ii) state inspection (SISP), and (iii) municipal inspection (SIM). The objective of this work was to discuss the three current inspection systems through the apparent prevalence of bovine brucellosis, a zoonosis that has an eradication program implemented by the Brazilian government. Nine abattoirs from federal, state, and municipal inspection systems were assessed and 1,490 animals were sampled. Serology for brucellosis was determined by the rose bengal test and the complement fixation test. The overall apparent prevalence (and 95% confidence interval) of brucellosis was 2.2% (1.5 to 2.9%). Apparent prevalence stratified by inspection system for SIF, SISP, and SIM was 0.4% (0.0 to 0.9%), 2.0% (0.8 to 3.2%), and 4.3% (2.5 to 6.1%), respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed the odds ratio for finding an animal positive for brucellosis among inspection systems. A statistical difference (P &lt; 0.0015) was observed among surveillance systems, with SISP × SIF, SIM × SISP, and SIM × SIF having an odds ratio of 4,996, 2,304, and 11,494, respectively. Hence, the need for increasing official surveillance in state and municipal inspection systems seems to be necessary and could assist in the surveillance of bovine brucellosis and other diseases of interest to the federation. In addition, an increase in official presence would help to improve the selection of slaughtered cattle during ante- and postmortem inspection, with consequent impact on food safety and public health.

In this paper we argue that electronic data interchange (EDI) should not be viewed simply as a technological infrastructure, but as a technology which may enable an organization taking a strategic view to derive comparative advantage from utilizing it as part of a process of business re-engineering – in other words, as a sociotechnical entity. We suggest that strategic information systems planning (SISP) is a suitable superstructure within which EDI implementation may be considered from an appropriate strategic, as opposed to tactical, perspective. Finally we describe the theory and current practice of SISP and present guidelines for its application in relation to EDI.

Despite the potential of Strategic Information System Planning (SISP) to reduce cost and improve quality, hospitals have been slow to have strategic plans on Information Systems. Our objective was to explore which organizational characteristics influence SISP in healthcare. Data on Information Systems plans from the HIMSS analytics database was combined with organizational characteristics data from the American Hospital Association. Logistic regression analyses on a sample of 2,495 hospitals revealed that hospitals with system membership and for profit status had a greater likelihood of selecting ‘computerized medical records’ (OR=1.88, OR=6.60 respectively, p<0.05), ‘decreasing medical errors’ (OR=7.02, p<0.05), ‘resolving integration issues’ (OR=1.36, OR=0.15 respectively, p<0.05), ‘migrating towards a paperless environment (OR=1.66, OR=8.28 respectively, p<0.05), and ‘reducing the number of software vendors’ (OR=1.78, OR=0.23 respectively, p<0.05) as their Information System plans. System membership and ownership status are associated with SISP. An understanding of the hospital characteristics that may impact Strategic Information Systems Planning, managers would assist managers in making informed decisions about planning and implementing Information Systems at their hospitals.

Abstract:
Many hospitals in Taiwan have started to encounter new and fierce competition as a result of the enactment of the National Health Insurance Policy in 1995. Hospitals should strive to use information technology (IT) strategically to improve their competitive advantage and meet the dynamic challenges in this competitive environment. This study adopts the Technology-Organization-Environment framework to understand the effects of contextual factors (e.g., environmental uncertainty and information intensity) and information service competence on the effectiveness of strategic information systems planning (SISP) to improve hospital management efficiency. A field survey was conducted using questionnaires distributed to accredited hospitals that serve patients from different regions/districts and with academic teaching qualifications/capabilities. These hospitals represent approximately a quarter of all hospitals in Taiwan. The findings show that the environmental unpredictability and business competence of IS executives are negatively related to the two SISP constructs: IT participation in the hospital planning and alignment of the IT plan with the comprehensive hospital plan. In addition, the findings demonstrate that information intensity has a significantly positive relation to both aforementioned SISP constructs. Finally, both constructs justify the significant positive correlations with the use of IT in increasing competitive advantages and improving the satisfaction of customers and end users. This research intends to guide the healthcare industry in raising competitive advantages to improve the operational efficiency of hospital management in today's highly digitalized environment.

Abstract:
Proliferation in the use of digital data in manufacturing led to a new industrial revolution by virtue of which user groups and researchers from multiple industrial enterprises have introduced Rapid Prototyping (RP) into their product development processes. This paper presents a coupled field thermos-structural analysis of new RP process namely, Selective Inhibition Sintering Process (SISP) for the evaluation on the effect of temperature in various polymer materials. The present study provides information of the requirement of heat source to achieve effective sintering phenomenon. The structured Finite Element (FE) model with a dimension of 30 X 30 X 1.5 mm is considered for the analysis where in different heat quantity is applied in an iterative manner to examine the sintering temperature. Based on the simulation results, for each polymer, required amount of heat to observe sintering characteristics is evaluated. The effect of applied heat on the examination of structural aspects of polymer materials including thermal stress, distortion and displacement is carried out. The simulation results affirms that the polymer materials are within in the safe structural and thermal limit and the selection of low cost heat source will be useful for the development of cost-effective SISP system.

Abstract:
IT investment is a crucial issue as it does not only influence the performance in Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) but it also helps executives to align business strategy with organizational performance. Admittedly, though, there is ineffective use of Information Systems (IS) due to a lack of strategic planning and of formal processes resulting in executives’ failure to develop IS plans and achieve long-term sustainability. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the phases of Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) process that contribute to a greater extent of success so that guidelines regarding the implementation of the process in SMEs can be provided. Data was collected by 160 IS executives in Greek SMEs during February and May 2017. Multivariate Regression Analysis was applied on the detailed items of the SISP process and success constructs. The results of this survey present that managers should be aware of the strategic use of IS planning so as to increase competitive advantage. Senior executives should choose the appropriate IT infrastructure (related to their business strategy and organizational structure), so as to align business strategy with organizational structure. The findings of this paper could help IS executives concentrate their efforts on business objectives and recognize the great value of the planning process on their business.

Findings The results of this paper indicate that IS executives do not focus on defining goals, which will be used to improve the operations of the supply chain for the IS development. Both IS executives and managers from the logistics department of each organization should participate in the process of information technology (IT) strategy formulation and implementation. Executives from the logistics department of each organization should be aware of implementing environmental and organizational analysis with greater meticulousness, to identify IT opportunities and apply IT strategy with greater agility rather than now. Practical implications A strategic planning process for IS development in the logistics sector is required to achieve the consistently IS planning objectives. This is an important challenge for executives in SMEs who do not concentrate on implementing a strategic planning process for IS development. Originality/value This paper examines the factors that influence the strategic development of IS in the logistics sector and improve the effectiveness of decision-making regarding the supply chain’s operation.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTEnterotoxigenicEscherichia coli(ETEC) is a major cause of diarrhea in piglets; ETEC cells colonize the intestinal mucosa with adhesins and deliver toxins that cause fluid loss. This study determined the antiadhesive properties of bacterial exopolysaccharides (reuteran and levan) and related glycans (dextran and inulin) in a small intestinal segment perfusion (SISP) model. The SISP model used 10 jejunal segments from 5-week-old piglets. Five segments were infected with ETEC expressing K88 fimbriae (ETEC K88), while five segments were treated with saline. Every two segments (ETEC and non-ETEC infected) were infused with 65 ml of 10 g liter−1of glycans or saline (control) for 8 h. High-resolution melting-curve (HRM) quantitative PCR (qPCR) indicated thatE. coliis the dominant bacterium in infected segments, while other bacteria were predominant in noninfected segments. Infection by ETEC K88 was also verified by qPCR; gene copy numbers of K88 fimbriae and the heat-labile toxin (LT) in mucosal scrapings and outflow fluid of infected segments were significantly higher than those in noninfected segments. Genes coding for K88 fimbriae and LT were also detected in noninfected segments. LT amplicons from infected and noninfected segments were 99% identical over 481 bp, demonstrating the presence of autochthonous ETEC K88. All glycans reduced fluid loss caused by ETEC K88 infection. Reuteran tended (P= 0.06) to decrease ETEC K88 levels in mucosal scraping sample, as judged by qPCR. Fluorescentin situhybridization analysis demonstrated that reuteran significantly (P= 0.012) decreased levels of adherent ETEC K88. Overall, reuteran may prevent piglet diarrhea by reducing adhesion of ETEC K88.

Abstract:
The decline of regional Australia in terms of wealth and population during the two decades since 1980 has compelled the Federal Government to intervene. In 1997 the Australian Federal Government devoted in excess of $A460 million to a grant award scheme called the Regional Telecommunication Infrastructure Fund (RTIF) in which regional communities identified local telecommunication problems and applied for funds to correct them. Our project examines, through the lens of a conceptual framework extended from and informed by Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP), the effectiveness of the mechanism of this and similar schemes. The primary purpose of this paper is to present a study of the experience of Ballarat in relation to the Australian RTIF programme.

Abstract:
Abstract Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) is a major cause of diarrhea in piglets. In vitro, high molecular weight β-galactosylated chitosan-oligosaccharides (Gal-COS) had strong anti-adhesive activity against ETEC-expressing K88 fimbriae (ETEC K88) binding to porcine erythrocytes. This study assessed the effects of Gal-COS differing in structure on anti-adhesive properties against ETEC in a small intestinal segment perfusion (SISP) model in 8 piglets (BW 10 kg; 5-wk old). With 10 jejunal segments in each pig, 5 segments were infected with ETEC K88, and the other 5 segments were infused with saline (non-ETEC). Every 2 paired segments (ETEC or non-ETEC) from the same pig were treated for 8 h with 64 ml of 10 g L-1 of one of the following test products: 1) α-Gal-COS; 2) β-Gal-COS; 3) exopolysaccharides produced by Lactobacillus reuteri; and 4) raffinose in a double 4 × 4 Latin square with a saline control. Infection by ETEC K88 was verified by quantitative PCR. Net fluid loss was calculated as difference of fluid loss between ETEC segment and its paired non-ETEC segment. Data were analyzed using the mixed model with segment and test product as fixed effects, and pig as random effect. Number of eubacterial rRNA genes was 10-fold greater (P < 0.001) in ETEC segments than non-ETEC segments, indicating that ETEC K88 accounted for > 90% of bacterial gene counts. Test product did not affect (P > 0.10) the number of ETEC bacteria in the outflow fluid. Furthermore, net fluid loss caused by ETEC tended (P = 0.08) to be decreased by β-Gal-COS compared to all other treatments. In conclusion, the in vivo SISP model confirmed that Gal-COS had anti-diarrheal effects, indicating that β-Gal-COS is a potential feed additive to reduce the ETEC-induced diarrhea in piglets.

Abstract:
A novel concept of a compact mm/submm integrated spectrometers for environmental monitoring for hazardous materials of chemical and biological origin as well as for remote monitoring of the Earth atmosphere is discussed. The agents will be exactly identified by their unique spectral signatures. The assembled on a multi-chip module, cryocooler-mounted Superconducting Integrated SPectromer (SISP) exploits the superior performance of superconducting Josephson junction technology and unique on-chip integration of analog components, analog-to-digital converter, and digital components. Analog components include a superconductor-insulator-superconductor (SIS) mixer with integrated quasioptical antenna, mm-wave local oscillator, and SQUID amplifier for the down-converted (IF) signals. Upon amplification, the IF signal is digitized using a bandpass delta-sigma modulator, followed by real time processing with rapid single flux quantum (RSFQ) circuitry. Experimental results showing both operation of spectrometer components and the way to their successful integration are presented.

The solutions of the corresponding homogeneous equations are represented by an evolution family(UB(t,s))t≥s. For various function spacesℱwe show conditions on(UB(t,s))t≥sandfwhich ensure the existence of a unique solution contained inℱ. In particular, if(UB(t,s))t≥sisp-periodic there exists a unique bounded solutionusubject to certain spectral assumptions onUB(p,0),fandu. We apply the results to nonautonomous semilinear retarded differential equations. For certainp-periodic retarded differential equations we derive a characteristic equation which is used to determine the spectrum of(UB(t,s))t≥s.

Abstract:
The phenomenon of urbanisation is becoming increasingly prevalent on a global level, and the health issues regarding the urban environment are of primary importance in public health. Accordingly, the present manuscript describes an analysis of the housing conditions of Italian urban areas, referring to the city of Sassari (Sardinia), Italy, focused on the dwelling structural and sanitary conditions issued by the Italian regulations. Data relating to the housing conditions of the population were acquired by the Local Hygiene and Public Health Service (SISP), in a period between 2012 and 2016. Qualitative variables were summarised with absolute and relative (percentages) frequencies, whereas quantitative variables with means and standard deviations depending on their parametric distribution. Statistical comparisons for qualitative and quantitative variables were performed with the χ2 test or Student’s t-test, respectively. A p value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Finally, the dwellings and the collected variables were georeferenced on a city map. During the 2012–2016 observation period, 363 certification requests were received from 193 (53.2%) foreign-born citizens and 170 (46.8%) Italians at the SISP offices. The main reasons relate to the request for a residency permit (46.6%) and to obtain a subsidy from the local government (32.8%). Overall, 15.4% of dwellings were found to be improper, while 35.3% and 22.0% were found to be unhygienic and uninhabitable, respectively. The foreigners’ homes were found to be suitable in 82.7% of cases; the housing of Italian citizens, on the contrary, was found to be suitable in 28% of the observations. The present study offers a cross section of the housing conditions of Italian urban areas, referring to the city of Sassari. To the authors’ best knowledge, this observation is the first one carried out in Sardinia and one of the first observations in Italy. It has emerged that “hygienically unsuitable” homes are those that, in most cases, are located in the city centre. Moreover, the Italian population is hit by a significant housing problem, due to overcrowding, uninhabitability, and unhygienic conditions. Overall, our findings suggest that it is necessary to develop a multidisciplinary approach to guarantee public health, with safe dwellings homes and the surrounding urban context alongside the development of social relations. Nevertheless, there is still little evidence available today on the population housing conditions, especially regarding the private indoor environment, and further research is needed to bridge this knowledge gap.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The gram-positive eubacterium Bacillus subtilis is the organism with the largest number of paralogous type I signal peptidases (SPases) known. These are specified both by chromosomal and plasmid-borne genes. The chromosomally encoded SPases SipS and SipT have a major function in precursor processing, and cells depleted of SipS and SipT stop growing and die. In this study, we show that the SPase SipP, specified by the B. subtilis plasmid pTA1015, can functionally replace SipS and SipT, unlike the three chromosomally encoded SPases with a minor function in protein secretion (i.e., SipU, SipV, and SipW). Unexpectedly, SipP is not specifically required for the processing and secretion of Orf1p, which is specified by a gene that is cotranscribed with sipP. These two genes form a conserved structural module of rolling-circle plasmids from B. subtilis. As previously shown for the chromosomalsipS and sipT genes, the transcription of plasmid-borne copies of sipP is temporally controlled, reaching maximal levels during the post-exponential growth phase when the cells secrete proteins at high levels. However, increased transcription of sipP starts at the end of exponential growth, about 2 h earlier than that of sipS andsipT. These data suggest that SipP fulfills a general role in the secretory precursor processing of pTA1015-containing cells.

Abstract:
Agritourism is long established and the interest in diversification of agricultural enterprises into tourism has increased. However, many challenges have emerged regarding the lack of appropriate skills, strategic planning, Information Systems (IS), as well as increased costs in production processes. In Greece, the contribution of agritourism to economic growth has increased in the last decade, but the relationship between the agricultural sector and agritourism is a reason for certain people having largely taken advantage from the development of tourism in a specific area. Greek businesses operating in the agritourism sector are seeking long-term sustainability. However, they lack strategic planning and effective use of IS. As the strategic implementation of Information Technology (IT) in Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the agritourism sector is under-researched, this paper aims to investigate how the process of Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) affects the success of Greek SMEs in the agritourism industry. IS executives completed the survey and ANOVA analysis was used for data analysis. The findings of the paper indicate that IS executives do not focus on the analysis of the external environment and the evaluation of opportunities for IS development. In addition, the lack of formulation of the IT strategy creates inefficient and unsuccessful IT projects.

Abstract:
This article outlines a K-12 college learning partnership that has evolved over the past two years at the University at Albany, SUNY. Two faculty members with the School of Information Science & Policy (SISP) Joette Stefl-Mabry and Jennifer Goodall Powers, with administrative support of their Associate Dean, Carol Doll, have integrated problem-based learning (PBL) into graduate and undergraduate curricula to establish partnerships with local K-12 school districts. Dynamic PBL environments link K-12 schools, School Library Media (SLM) graduate students, and undergraduate students majoring in information science to develop content, delivery, and assessment methods for K-12 curricula while at the same time strengthening graduate and undergraduate curricula by incorporating real-world challenges into coursework. Through this partnership, K-12 schools benefit from research-based best practices in educational technology and information science graduate and undergraduate students experience real career situations within educational environments. Over the course of a semester, SLM graduate students wrestle with theory and practice in K-12 curriculum, as undergraduate students develop Web pages based on research theory summarized by their graduate student partners. Stefl-Mabry and Powers collaboratively create and/or adapt instructional methods to meet the educational requirements of graduate and undergraduate curriculum as it relates to the specific needs and abilities of their students and the learning needs of K-12 environments. PBL enhances learning and provides new instructional models for SLM graduate students to emulate as educators when they are employed in K-12 communities.
