Abstract:
In strategic contexts actors may costlessly renege on verbal commitments. Many analysts consequently reject negotiation talk as an empirical basis for examining political interaction. They focus on deeds (e.g., missile deployments, troop movements, defense expenditures), which more likely than cheap talk signal sincere intent. Dialogical or pragmatic analysts, however, apply tools of linguistics and formal logic in systematic examinations of negotiation talk. They finesse the problem of insincerity by imposing upon themselves the burden of showing the consistency of actors possibly insincere utterances with their interests and prior commitments. We present a dialogical analysis of the initial conversations between US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Chinese leaders in February of 1973. The Chinese leaders test Kissingers sincerity by attempting to trap him in contradictions or drive him into implausible conversational commitments. This practice lends support to the heuristic proposed by dialogical/pragmatic analysts for finessing the problem of insincerity.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a scale for host sincerity. Design/methodology/approach The ten-item host sincerity scale was developed by following a multi-stage scale development procedure (Delphi technique, qualitative interviews and surveys). Findings The findings reveal that host sincerity is a second-order construct with two underlying dimensions: “sincere social interaction” and “sincere emotional response”. By incorporating host sincerity into the consumer-based model of authenticity, the findings established significant relationships among all constructs, confirming the predictive validity of the host sincerity construct. Research limitations/implications Data were gathered from visitors to troglodyte heritage sites (Kandovan and Cappadocia). Future studies should test the newly formed sincerity scale at other cultural destinations to further explore the generalisability of the scale. Further, data were gathered from tourists. Future studies should consider host sincerity from a host perspective. Practical implications Cultural destination managers and local hosts can use this instrument as a supplementary tool to evaluate how sincere their hospitality offering appears to tourists. Originality/value This paper develops a host sincerity scale to explore the importance of sincere host–guest interactions and tourists’ emotional response to these interactions. It extends the consumer-based model of authenticity by drawing further attention to the importance and impact of host sincerity in stimulating memorable tourism experiences.

Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to develop the Honesty test using situation judgment test format to reduce the possibility of faking good in personality scales and to identify construct validity and concurrent validity of the developed scale. Total 359 employees(male, 46.24%; female, 53.76%) were used in this study. The Honesty test developed in this study consists of 5 to 6 items 6 items for each 4 sub-constructs (i.e., sincerity, fairness, greed avoidance and modesty) of honesty-humility factor in HEXACO model. Confirmatory factor analysis to assess the construct validity of the Honesty test resulted in favorable goodness of fit indexes for the 4-factor model(CFI = .946, TLI = .925, RMSEA = .046). Also, favorable goodness of fit indexes(CFI = .934, TLI = .911, RMSEA = .049) in the higher-order factor analysis showed that the 4 sub-constructs were converged into the single honesty-humility factor. To investigate the possibility of faking good could be reduced in the situational judgment test format compared to the Likert test format in measuring honesty, correlations between the honesty scores in each test format and the scores of faking good were compared. Although the correlations between the humility sub-constructs(i.e., greed avoidance and modesty) and faking good scores were not significantly different depending on the measurement format, the correlations between the honesty sub-constructs(i.e., sincerity and fairness) and faking good scores were significantly low in the situational judgment test format than in the Likert test format. The concurrent validity analyses revealed that the Honesty test using situational judgment test format had significant correlations with Machiavellism personality(r = -.21) and self-control(r = .27). Limitations of the study and directions for future study were discussed.

Abstract:
In this article it is argued that individual sincerity has become the most significant determinant of whether or not a religious or philosophical belief is to be recognised as such for the purposes of accessing putative legal protections for individuals. However, a clear test of individual sincerity has not been fully articulated by the courts in the UK or indeed elsewhere. In this context, the possibility of developing a test based in large part on consistency of individual behaviour is considered in this article, and some objections noted. The article concludes that such a test is both useful and desirable in principle, and should be developed; however, it must be applied with great care in order to remain inclusive of those who may be driven to apparent inconsistency by fear or as a result of other factors.

Abstract:
Recently, the Supreme Court of Canada (SCC) returned to the test of individual sincerity for determining whether there has been an infringement of freedom of religion pursuant to section 2(a) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (the Charter) in SL c Commission scolaire des Chênes. Sincerity of belief or in practice as necessary for religious expression on the part of a complainant has been accepted from some of the earliest Charter cases as the triggering requirement for a section 2(a) claim, and, in itself, sufficient to establish a claim which a court must then balance against conflicting claims pursuant to section 1 (‘reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society’) or section 15 (equality rights). In SL, the court confirmed that mere sincerity is no longer sufficient and that an objective burden of proof now rests on a claimant to show how a state-sanctioned requirement infringes the fundamental right to freedom of religion before competing claims will be assessed. In SL, the court found that the complainants had failed to show how a religious education course mandated for all students without exception by the Government of Quebec interfered with what they argued was their religious freedom as Roman Catholic parents to pass on their faith to their children. This result has also been interpreted to mean that the state has a right prior to parental rights in the religious formation of their own children, and, on this reading, has been highly controversial. The court's new formulation of a sincerity test may be of interest elsewhere. The earlier formulation in Syndicat Northcrest v Anselem was adopted by the House of Lords in R (Williamson) v Secretary of State for Education and Employment, and the subsequent spread of its use has since been subject to consideration in England.

Abstract:
Simply stated, sincerity is an intention to express the truth, while insincerity is an intention to mislead. A sincere person can be wrong and give false information, while an insincere person can make a mistake and speak the truth. Sincerity – and not the truth – is what is detected with a polygraph (a mentally ill person responding to the question “Are you Napoleon?” with a negation may well register as lying on a polygraph test). In this paper I bring different examples (from texts which belong to various spheres of discourse) that illustrate a splitting of consciouscess in an otherwise mentally sane person : fantastic accusations (both self-accusations and accusations of others) are presented in a state of both belief and disbelief. Usual triggers for this phenomenon are fear and anger (which often occur together), but reasons may also be found in erotic desire or else in aesthetic licence, etc.

Abstract:
This study investigated the main effects of a subordinate’s (ratee) political skill dimensions (social astuteness, apparent sincerity, interpersonal influence, and networking ability) on supervisor (rater) performance rating and further analyzed the interactive effects of social similarity in the subordinate–supervisor dyad on the relationship between political skill dimension and performance rating. To test these relationships, hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) was used on a matched sample of 337 subordinate–supervisor dyads who worked in South Korea’s central government. Findings showed that subordinates with higher social astuteness, interpersonal influence, and networking abilities (but not apparent sincerity) will likely achieve more positive supervisor ratings. More importantly, the relationship between these political skill dimensions and performance ratings is stronger when there is greater social similarity between a subordinate (ratee) and his or her supervisor (rater). The findings’ practical and academic implications and future research directions are discussed.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the current state of development of information technologies of psychometric state of the person, features of definition of mental states of the person and methods of observation of changes of the state of the person. The analysis of information technologies of decision support in monitoring tasks concerning the state of the person is carried out. Eysenck computer test information technology has been developed. The results of the tests tested using Eysenck's computer psychometric testing were conducted. According to the test results, algorithms for secondary processing of test results were developed during testing several times and during the process of monitoring the subjects. Based on the results of the study, information technology for decision support in personality monitoring tasks was developed based on the Eysenck computer version of the test. According to the results of the study it is determined that it is necessary to use different approaches to be processing the test results, which will confirm the sincerity of the subject. Therefore, the article discusses several criteria for determining the quality of test results and their sincerity. It has been determined that computer-based psychometric monitoring is aimed at objectively assessing changes in mental state based on the results of retesting. The research in the tasks of monitoring the mental state of a person is to apply the processing of statistical psychometric measurements (initial processing of test results), quantitative assessment of changes in psychometric parameters and identify their trends in long-term observation. Data from such measurements indirectly contain information about changes in the mental state of the subject.

Abstract:
Purpose This study aims to examine how employees’ perceptions of customer-related and employee-related corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives influence their job satisfaction. Further, the study investigates whether employees’ organizational commitment mediates this proposed relationship and, more importantly, tests how such mediated relationships change according to the level of employees’ perceptions of their company’s sincerity in investing in CSR activities. Design/methodology/approach This study used an online survey to collect data and collected a total of 490 responses for the main analysis. A regression analysis and standard path-analytic approaches described by Hayes (2013) were conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings Findings support the main effect of customer- and employee-related CSR on employees’ job satisfaction mediated by employees’ organizational commitment, as well as the moderating effect of the perceived sincerity of customer-related CSR but not employee-related CSR. Originality/value The current study focuses on comparing two types of CSR initiatives, i.e. employee- and customer-related, because these two groups are any company’s core stakeholders with the closest relationship to its operations, and they represent the internal and external stakeholders, respectively. Further, the current study investigates the moderating effect of employees’ perceptions of the sincerity of their company’s CSR initiatives on the relationship between the two types of CSR initiatives and employees’ job commitment.

Abstract:
The identity of subjects participating in social processes or the daily functioning of social structures is a result of many factors – such as their representativeness and social typicality, the social programming of their personalities and activities, but also their personal experiences and individual characteristics. Formal expressions and testimonies of identity associated with the sense of belonging to a group, ideological belonging, are unreliable. An objectified and effective test of the real identity of an individual as a member of society, citizen, employee, follower of certain views, is the model of authenticity in participation. The components of this model include the criteria of authenticity of existence, authenticity of bonds and social structures, authenticity of the status of participants, authenticity of their needs, authenticity of attitudes, actions and works. Authenticity in this meaning is not the same as simply being authentic, or factual, genuine, original or consistent in reference to the original, or as a testimony’s conformity with the facts. It is a combination of such traits as autonomy, autotelic quality, consistency, functionality of the relationship between the whole and its elements, while, in relation to human consciousness and activity – sincerity, spontaneity, adequacy in relation to one’s own needs and nature.

Abstract:
The study is aimed to test the structural relationship between brand personality dimensions, selfcongruity (i.e., actual and ideal self-congruity) and revisit intention. Brand personality was conceptualised as a five-dimensional construct including sincerity, excitement, competence, sophistication, and ruggedness. When Chinese outbound tourists perceived various personality traits of destination brand, it might influence their revisit intentions to Glasgow, UK. The current study proposed that self-congruity exerted mediating effects between five dimensions of brand personality and revisit intention. Structural equation modelling was applied to confirming the hypothesis testing. Findings of current study suggested that only two dimensions (sincerity and excitement) had an indirect impact on revisit intention through ideal self-congruity. Furthermore, this study contributed to the extant literature by partially confirming self-congruity theory in the setting of Glasgow tourism. Research findings are also beneficial to destination marketing organisations (DMOs) in their efforts to make Glasgow destination attract more repeated Chinese tourists.

Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to identify criterion-related validity of the developed Honesty test using situation judgment test format and 2) to test mediating role of moral disengagement process including self-sanction. For these purpose, the situational judgment test measuring sub-constructs (i.e., sincerity, fairness, greed avoidance and modesty) of honesty-humility factor in HEXACO model(Lee & Ashton, 2004) was developed. eria(i.e., counterproductive work behavior, task performance and contextual performance). Total 365 employees(male, N=170, 46.58%; female, N=195, 53.42%) were used in the study. The Honesty test developed in the study included 24 items(i.e., 6 items for each 4 sub-constructs). The criterion-related validity analyses results showed that the Honesty test using situational judgment test format had significant correlations with counterproductive work behavior(r = -.49) and task performance(r = .39). The results of structural equation model revealed that the effects of honesty on counterproductive work behavior was mediated by moral disengagement process and the direct effect of honesty on counterproductive work behavior was also significant. Overall goodness of fit indexes of this model were favorable except for the chi-square value(χ2(32) = 50.44, p = .0202, CFI = .990, TLI = .986, RMSEA = .040). Abstract:
Existing studies report on tendencies for first-party victims of a transgression to be less considerate of apologies compared to third-party observers when deciding on forgiveness. The present research investigated the conditions in which such discrepancies arise, focusing exclusively on the factor of one’s relational involvement with the transgressor. We presented Japanese participants (N = 116) with hypothetical cases of transgression, while varying on victim/observer standing, involvement with the transgressor, and the sincerity of presented apologies. As a result, the victim/observer discrepancy—where people who took the victim’s perspective rather than the observer’s perspective indicated decreased discrimination of the apology’s sincerity—emerged under high relational involvement. We further examined the role of trait evaluation of the transgressor as a mediator of the effect of apology on forgiveness. The test revealed that high involvement strengthens the mediation effect among the observers, while weakening the mediation among the victims. Based on the obtained findings, we discussed insights into how the relational factor facilitates different motives in victims and observers, leading to discrepancies in their reactions.

Full text
Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to build a moderate mediation model to delineate the effects of leader humility on employee constructive voice behavior based on conservation of resources theory and crossover of resources model. Specifically, when a leader behaves with humility, the followers will be more likely to feel they receive psychological resources from their interactions with the leader (i.e. relational energy), and thus engage in more constructive voice behavior. In addition, this energizing effect only occurs when the leader is perceived as having higher apparent sincerity by their subordinates. Design/methodology/approach The research hypotheses of this study were empirically tested using multi-timepoint and multi-source (i.e. supervisors and subordinates) survey data in China. Study 1, based on data from 449 subordinates and 88 immediate supervisors, was conducted to test the proposed mediation effect. Study 2, based on data from 185 subordinates and 50 immediate supervisors, was conducted to replicate the findings of Study 1 and test the integrated model. Findings The results of Study 1 support the proposed mediation effect that leader humility positively predicts followers’ constructive voice behavior via boosting followers’ relational energy. The results of Study 2 replicate the findings of Study 1 and further indicate that leader humility is only positively related to perceived relational energy when a leader is perceived as having higher apparent sincerity by their subordinates. Practical implications This paper provides detailed instructions for business practitioners. First, given that employee constructive voice behavior is related to employee relational energy and is beneficial to organizations, leaders are encouraged to behave with humility when interacting with their subordinates. Second, from the perspective of human resource management, well-designed training programs can be used to help leaders to develop leader humility. Third, the findings of this paper call attention to a potential risk for humble leaders. Organizations should educate leaders on the potential negative consequences of false humility and encourage leader humility that will appear in leaders’ sincerity. Originality/value Overall, drawing on conservation of resources theory and crossover of resources model, this paper reveals that boosting relational energy is a mechanism via which humble leaders can shape employees’ voice behavior. Second, by examining the moderation effect of apparent sincerity of leaders from followers’ perspective, this paper suggests an actor–recipient perspective to identify the boundaries of the energizing mechanism. Third, the findings of this paper add to the knowledge on voice research by highlighting an additional source of energy for employee constructive voice behavior.

Abstract:
From a global perspective, the hypocrisy of enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibilities has become a common phenomenon. However, theoretical research on corporate hypocrisy, especially in the micro level, is still insufficient. To enrich the theoretical achievements of corporate hypocrisy in the micro level, this study adopted the grounded theory methods to explore the employee attributions of corporate hypocrisy in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and dig deeper into the internal links and role paths between the attributions. After the process of defining problems, collecting data, three-level coding, construction theory, and saturation test, we used dates from 21 employees and found that the employee attributions of corporate hypocrisy consist of six major categories: capacity limitation, external pressure promotion, lack of supervision, sincerity of keeping promises, speculation, and external tolerance. Besides, this study proposed a mechanistic model of the employee attributions of corporate hypocrisy in CSR and pointed out that the degree of external tolerance, the sincerity of keeping promises, and speculation play moderating roles in the main effect. Moreover, the speculation also plays a mediating role in the moderation effect of external tolerance’ moderation.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine how reference to a rival or favorite sports team within cause-related sports marketing (CRSM) campaigns affects fans’ intentions to support the cause. The purpose of the studies is to assess the perils of featuring a specific team in league-wide activations of cause-related marketing. Design/methodology/approach The research comprises three experiments. Study 1 employs CRSM advertising to test fans’ responses when rival or hometown team imagery is featured by Major League Baseball (MLB). Studies 2 and 3 utilize a press release to activate a cause partnership in MLB and the National Basketball Association (NBA) and assess the potential influence of team involvement and schadenfreude toward the rival team. Findings Contrary to previous research, results demonstrate that rival team presence in league-wide activation can reduce intentions to support the cause effort across both leagues, but not in all circumstances. The influence of rival team exposure on perceived sincerity is moderated by team involvement with the cause in MLB, but not the NBA. However, sincerity consistently enhances cause support across all studies. While conditional effects of schadenfreude are noted, it is not a significant moderator of cause support. Research limitations/implications This research exposes the nuance of league-wide CRSM activations. Specifically, the rival team effect on perceived sincerity seems to be league dependent, and subject to team involvement with the cause. Moreover, these results are limited to the leagues studied. Practical implications League administrators and their cause-related partners should exercise due diligence when promoting their affiliation using specific teams and levels of involvement with the cause. Originality/value These studies produce results that differ from the limited prior research within the domain of league-wide CRSM, and therefore advance the conversation regarding how best to activate such campaigns.

Abstract:
Advertisements from “Lonely Hearts” columns in the major daily Portuguese newspaper (Jornal de Notícias) were used to test hypotheses about the mate preferences of men and women. A total of 484 advertisements were coded for demographic descriptors and offers of and appeals for attractiveness, financial security, sincerity, expressiveness, and instrumentality, e.g., intelligence and ambition. Some results supported social exchange and evolutionary predictions: men sought younger women and offered security; women sought older men with status and resources. However, other results challenged such predictions: attractiveness and expressiveness did not differ by sex.

Abstract:
The HEXACO model offers a complement to the Big Five model, including a sixth factor, Honesty–Humility, and its four facets (Sincerity, Fairness, Greed-avoidance, and Modesty). The four facets of Honesty–Humility and three indicators of intelligence (one performance-based cognitive ability test, one self-estimated academic potential, and one self-report of previous IQ test results) were assessed in students entering higher education ( N= 187). A significant negative correlation was observed between Honesty–Humility and self-reported intelligence ( r =−.37), most evident in the Modesty facet. These results may be interpreted as tendencies of exaggeration, using a theoretical frame of psychological image-management, concluding that the Honesty–Humility trait captures students' self-ambitions, particularly within the context of an individualistic, competitive culture such as Sweden.

Abstract:
The author attempts to demonstrate the difficulty of applying the new test provided by s. 244(4) of the Criminal Code and concerning the sincerity of the accused's belief in a case of sexual aggression. Even if the judges of the Supreme Court of Canada, in two recent decisions (Bulmer and Robertson), reaffirmed the principle of Pappajohn that an honest and sincere mistake of fact to the existence of the victim's consent can constitute a defence to a criminal charge, we must give an explanation why the legislator changed the law by introducing this partly subjective and partly objective test. The author think that this new test creates much confusion ; it will be very difficult for judges to explain it adequately to the jury and for jury members to understand its real meaning. In conclusion, the author believes that once again the legislator created an ambiguous situation because he did not dare to impose a clearly objective test.

Abstract:
Companies can engage in event marketing either by creating and hosting an event or by sponsoring a preexisting event. Although these are well-established event marketing strategies, consumer responses to event origin (hosting vs. sponsoring) have received limited scholarly attention. This article presents an experimental study of event origin and brand-related event leveraging. The first purpose was to investigate consumers' evaluations of hosted versus sponsored events and hosting versus sponsoring companies, and to test mechanisms that may explain these differences. The second purpose was to test consumer responses to brand-related leveraging activities for both types of events. Results show that consumers' evaluation of the event and the company differs significantly depending on the event origin, and that both types of events have much to gain from brand-related leveraging. Key explanatory mechanisms for these effects are perceived sincerity of company motives, company–event fit, and perceived amount of resources invested in the event.

Abstract:
<p>The objective of this study is to investigate how brand personality and customers’ ‘self’ affects brand engagement. This has become necessary because the focus of most research into brands has often neglected how brand personality and customers’ ‘self’ can be harnessed to achieve brand engagement. This study used Aaker’s brand personality, Keller’s brand engagement, and Sprott et. al. self-concept measurement scales. The research methodology includes the following steps: adaptation of the measurement scales to suit the research context, assessment of reliability and validity of dimensions, and test of goodness-of-fit of model. In all 252 valid responses out of 302 questionnaires distributed were used for the study. The research found that brand personality and customers’ ‘self-concept’ have positive effect on brand engagement. Sincerity has negative relationship with brand engagement and self-concept whiles hedonism has negative relationship with self-concept only. Competence, sophistication and excitement dimensions have significant effects on customers’ self-concept and brand engagement. Sincerity and hedonism also have negative effects on self-concept and brand engagement. Competence, sophistication and excitement can be used as differentiate strategy by Private Universities to deal with the growing competition in Ghana. The findings suggest that Private Universities can differentiate themselves by developing brand personality that is competent and exciting, whereby they can successfully engaged their customers. The authors’ investigations also suggest that self-concept can be measured by splitting Sprott et al measurement scale into two (self-congruence and value-congruence). In the same way, brand engagement can be measured by splitting Keller’s measurement scale into two (identification and ambassador dimensions) for theoretical insight. In addition, hedonism has been identified as a useful measure of brand personality but not clear with faith-based Private Universities’ brand personality. Private Universities’ differentiation strategy should be based on competence, sophistication and excitement.</p>

Abstract:
In Alberta v. Hutterian Brethren of Wilson Colony, the Supreme Court of Canada reconfigured its approach to section 1 of the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms by holding that the final step of the R. v. Oakes test—the requirement of proportionality between a measure’s salutary and deleterious effects—provided the critical framework for its analysis. The author suggests that the Court’s emphasis on the last step of the Oakes test was not the most appropriate response to the specific minimal impairment argument Alberta presented. Alberta argued that the reason it could not safely offer an exemption from its licence photo requirement to Hutterites who objected to photos on religious grounds was because Syndicat Northcrest v. Amselem restricted government inquiries into the sincerity of religious beliefs. Ontario intervened in support of Alberta’s concerns. Although the Court did not address this minimal impairment argument, the author argues that it reflects an unnecessarily strict reading of how Amselem’s guidelines would apply in this context. In support, the author presents an exemption that would have cohered with Amselem and achieved Alberta’s safety objectives. The author then argues more broadly that the provinces’ concerns in Hutterian Brethren demonstrate the critical role the minimal impairment step of the Oakes test plays in generating solutions to clashes between laws of general application and minority religious practices. The Court’s new emphasis on the proportionate effects test, in contrast, may unfortunately discourage both parties from formulating potentially innovative alternatives.

Abstract:
Anxiety often occurs in maternity mothers and not being treated will have an impact on the mother's physical and psychological. As many as 9% of mothers who experience anxiety will increase pain and result in a long labor process. Therefore, it is necessary to take action by the midwife to control anxiety so that the delivery process runs smoothly. SEFT is a psycho-religious therapy that can reduce maternal anxiety without causing side effects. To determine the effect of SEFT on anxiety in maternity mothers during the active phase I. This is pre-experimental research with one group pre-post-test design. This study used purposive sampling. The statistical test used the dependent t-test. The average anxiety score before SEFT therapy was 24.44, with a minimum score was 20 and a maximum score was 29. The average anxiety score after SEFT therapy was 19.06, with a minimum score was 14 and a maximum score was 25. The results of the dependent t-test showed a p-value 0.000 (0.05) which means that there is a difference in the average anxiety score before and after the application of SEFT. There is an effect of the Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) on reducing maternal anxiety scores during the Active Phase I in the Dempet Health Center Work Area. The application of SEFT can increase the relaxation that can be obtained from conditions of solemnity, sincerity, resignation, confidence, and gratitude so that mothers can produce responses that can reduce anxiety during the delivery process.

Abstract:
Being a role model for students is closely associated with teachers’ values. If teachers lack the values required for educational activities, they cannot be a good model to their students and might lead to the dying-away or even disappearance of the values that students already have. The main purpose of this study is to determine at what levels teachers display behaviors that erode values and to investigate these values in terms of different variables. The research sample, determined through the stratified sampling method, included 157 primary, 171 secondary and 148 high school teachers. The research data was collected using the “Scale of Teacher Behaviors Damaging Values”. The scale consists of 27 items and five factors. The results of the study indicated that teachers’ levels of exhibiting behaviours that erode values were low, which means that teachers had high levels of positive values. According to the Kruskal-Wallis test; in relation to the school type, teachers’ levels of displaying behaviours that erode values differed significantly in the total score and in the dimensions of “student discrimination” and “patience and sincerity”. According to the Mann-Whitney U test, it was revealed that teachers’ levels of displaying behaviours that erode values did not show a significant difference in the total score and in all sub-dimensions in terms of gender. According to the Kruskal-Wallis test; concerning seniority, “patience and sincerity” was the only dimension where a significant difference was found. Various proposals have been developed according to the findings of the research.
