Abstract:

Abstract:
The main objective of this thesis concerns the study of silylenes stabilized by coordination of a phosphine ligand. Particularly, this study is focused on the influence of the nature of the ligand and the silicon substituents on the properties of these phosphine-silylene complexes. The first part of this thesis is a review concerning the different modes known about the stabilization of the silylene moiety, with a particular focus on silylene-Lewis base complexes. The second chapter deals with the first synthesis of phosphine-stabilized hydrogenosilylenes. In the presence of an olefin, an original hydrosilylation reaction was observed in mild conditions and without any catalyst. Functionalized silyl- and stannyl-silylenes also react readily with olefins through an insertion migration process, which is perfectly reversible in the case of the stannylsilylene derivative. This Béta-elimination reaction of the olefin at the silicon center demonstrates that phosphine-stabilized silylenes can behave in some cases like transition metal complexes. The third chapter is devoted to the study of the dimerization process of phosphine-silylene complexes, playing on the steric hindrance of nitrogen and phosphorus substituents. A lower kinetic protection of the Si(II) center led to unstable silylenes, which dimerise through an original and reversible Si-H or Si-Cl bond activation. In the fourth chapter is reported a study concerning the reactivity of a C-phosphino-silyne. Due to the implication of the phosphino group on the stabilization of the SiC-triple bond, this molecule can behave as a 1,3-dipole, and reacts readily with benzonitrile through a [3+2] cycloaddition process. The corresponding cycloadducts can be related to cyclic carbodiphosphoranes, particularly concerning the electronic properties, and therefore they present a strong nucleophilic character

Abstract:

Abstract:
Our research propose a confrontation between hermeneutics and psychoanalysis. Although one and the other appeal to the interpretation, our thesis is that the freudian method of investigation is + anti- hermeneutic ;. The meaning of this + anti-; which refer to the technical difference of interpretation is to elucidate considering two other involvements of hermeneutics in psychoanalysis: hermeneutics, as the research logic and as the philosophical theory of human understanding. The first part of our study apply to read some founders of philosophical hermeneutics, as schleiermacher, dilthey, heidegger and gadamer. This reading is guided by the question of otherness which we put forward as the motor of hermeneutic mouvement. Our study of different hermeneutic theories of understanding tries to underscore the dimension of message constituent of the birth of hermeneutics but forgetted today. The second part of our research is devoted to the debate in psychoanalysis, around the + hermeneutic turn ;. To examinate the caracteristic of revival of this turn, we apply to study differents authors who reinterpret the psychoanalysis in a hermeneutic point of view : p. Ricoeur, s. Viderman, d. Spence and r. Schafer. And then comes the examination of the jungian method, first explicit hermeneutic version of psychoanalysis. At last, we return to freud to establish, inspired by the work of laplanche, in particular, by his conception of seduction, translation and interpretation, why psychoanalysis is defined as stranger to any hermeneutic mouvement, exactely for the same reasons why freud was compelled to define his method in contrast to all psychosynthesis

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The study of impurity diffusion in semiconductor hosts is an important field that has both fundamental appeal and practical applications. Ion implantation is a good technique to introduce impurities deep into the semiconductor substrates at relatively low temperature and is not limited by the solubility of the dopants in the host. However ion implantation creates defects and damages to the substrate. Annealing process was used to heal these damages and to activate the dopants. In this study, we introduced several species such as alkali metals (Li, Na, K), alkali earth metals (Be, Ca,), transition metals (Ti, V, Cr, Mn) and other metals (Ga, Ge) into semiconductor substrates using ion implantation. The implantation energy varies form 70 keV to 200 keV and the dosages vary between ~ 1.0x1012 and ~5.0x1015 atoms/cm2. The samples are annealed at different temperatures from 300°C to 1000°C and for different time intervals. The redistribution behaviors of the implanted ions are studied experimentally using secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). We observed some complex distribution behaviors due to the defects created during the process of ion implantation. The diffusivities of some impurities are calculated and compared to previous data. It was found that the diffusivities of implanted impurities is related to the dosages, annealing temperatures and the defects and damages caused by ion implantation. Additionally, as we go from one type of semiconductor to another, the diffusion behavior of the impurities shows a different trend.

Abstract:
More than 100 species of large odontocete cetaceans (i.e., families Ziphiidae, Physeteridae, and Kogiidae) have been described since our binomial nomenclatorial system was initiated by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. Only a fraction of these are currently recognized as valid species. The taxonomic revisions that are being recommended by recent and ongoing studies within this group require a detailed understanding of their nomenclatural history. We here review all 114 nominal species of extant beaked and sperm whales. Of these, 27 species are currently considered valid, 6 are nomina dubia, 10 are nomina nuda, and the rest (71) are junior synonyms. In addition, we provide several appendices that attempt to settle the controversy over the name of the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus), provide biographies of the main authors of names, give a glossary of terms, and summarize information on the status of type specimens. Because beaked whales are still so poorly known, there are likely to be future splits and descriptions of new species and/or subspecies. This paper is intended to assist in sorting out nomenclature in such taxonomic cases.

The known world fauna of the monotrysian family Adelidae previously consisted of approximately five genera and 294 species (Nieukerken et al. 2011), occurring in all major geographical regions except Antarctica and New Zealand. Prior to this study, four of these genera, Adela (14 species), Cauchas (5 species), Ceromitia (15 species), and Nemophora (1 species), were known to occur in North and South America, totaling slightly less than 12% of the global diversity of the family. In this study, we are reporting 52 new species, most of which are (36 species) within the large pantropical genus Ceromitia. Additionally, we present gene trees for Adela, Cauchas, Ceromitia, and Nemophora and discuss their phylogenetic relationships.

Godfrey, Stephen J., ed. The Geology and Vertebrate Paleontology of Calvert Cliffs, Maryland, USA – Volume 2: Turtles and Toothed Whales. Washington, D.C.: Smithsonian Institution Press, 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.5479/si.23847438.

Abstract:
This volume is a follow-on to a work published by Smithsonian Institution Scholarly Press in 2018 on the Miocene vertebrate fauna from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland, USA. Two chapters are included in this compendium, one on turtles (chelonians) and the other on toothed whales (odontocetes). It is anticipated that two more volumes will be needed to complete the taxonomic review. Robert E. Weems details the occurrence of 19 kinds of chelonians that have been discovered in the Miocene and Pliocene marine strata of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, USA, 13 of them in the Calvert Cliffs. The most commonly found remains are those of an extinct sea turtle, Trachyaspis lardyi. Remains of four other marine turtles, Procolpochelys grandaeva, Lepidochelys sp., a generically indeter¬minate cheloniid, and a leatherback turtle (Psephophorus polygonus), are far less common. The other 14 chelonian taxa are nonmarine forms that inhabited the land, rivers, and marshes west of the Mid-Atlantic Seaboard during the Miocene. They were washed into the coastal marine environments that were then accumulating the sediments exposed today as the strata in the Calvert Cliffs. Stephen J. Godfrey and Olivier Lambert review the taxonomically diverse odontocete fauna of 29 named species. Nine of these Miocene taxa represent newly named species. Fragmentary remains hint at even greater diversity. Reviewed taxa are restricted to those known from along the Calvert Cliffs and other Miocene age deposits on the Atlantic Coastal Plain in Maryland and Virginia, USA. They range in age from approximately 22 to 8 Ma and derive from the Calvert, Choptank, and St. Marys Formations. This fauna preserves one of the most abundant and diverse assemblages of extinct toothed whales known. None of the named odontocete species included in this review are known from beyond the North Atlantic Ocean. In terms of their chronostratigraphic distribution, collectively, they range in age from the Aquitanian through the Tortonian, with the large majority occurring within the Burdigalian, Langhian, and Serravallian stages (the latter two being the most speciose). The greatest taxonomic diversity occurred during the Miocene Climate Optimum, a time (ca. 17–15 Ma) when global average temperatures were as much as 4°C to 5°C above today’s average temperatures, at least for much of that interval.

Abstract:
Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 54 of 2015, it is stated that medical devices in hospitals need to be calibrated or tested at least one time period in 1 year by the health facility testing center. However, radiation PPE testing or commonly referred to as personal protective equipment from radiation exposure, has not been registered in any health facility testing center. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the owner of the radiation PPE to carry out periodic maintenance and testing so that the performance of the PPE is maintained and monitored, in this case, the hospital in each agency that has radiation PPE. Medical Physicists and Radiation Protection Officers play an essential role in this process directly in the field. This paper will discuss how to treat radiation PPE in Radiology by a medical physicist who works at the Radiology agency at Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Kelapa Gading. Radiation PPE care includes the placement of suitable PPE and routine testing, which is carried out regularly once a year or if needed according to the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1250 of 2009. The results of radiation PPE treatment will obtain an excellent place to put PPE and will monitor performance. Therefore, each radiation PPE owned can optimally reduce or protect body organs from radiation exposure. Keywords: personal protective equipment, PPE care

Abstract:
Ionizing radiation, when it hits our bodies, can ionize and excite the atomic nuclei of cells. Ionization and excitation will cause DNA damage either directly or indirectly. DNA damage is direct if ionizing radiation hits DNA, while DNA damage is indirectly through the formation of free radicals (atoms with unpaired electrons) and has a very damaging effect on DNA. Therefore, safety in ionizing radiation, including its use in the medical world, is essential. Protection includes safety avoiding deterministic effects and stochastic effects. To protect against both deterministic and stochastic effects, the role of the radiographer is significant. Heinrich (1980) estimates that (85%) accidents are the result of the contribution of unsafe work behavior (unsafe act). Radiation accidents reported by the United States Energy Atomic Commission from 1960-1968 were caused by operator error (68%), procedural errors (8%), equipment damage (15%), and others (9%). When viewed in detail, the operator's errors were not conducting a radiation survey (46%), not following procedures (36%), not using protective equipment (6%), human error (6%), and calculating radiation exposure errors (6%). Therefore, the radiographer must know and understand ionizing radiation, its dangers, and the application of radiation protection from the results of a survey conducted at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto to 22 radiographers showed that the level of understanding of ionizing radiation, the dangers, and the application of radiation protection is still low. Therefore education and training are very much needed for them. Keywords: Radiation Hazard, Radiation Protection, Radiographer Education and Training

Ionizing radiation safety in the medical field, referred to as radiation safety, is an action taken to protect patients, workers, community members, and the environment from the dangers of radiation. One of the efforts to achieve this is by increasing the qualifications of radiation workers in understanding and implementing radiation protection and safety through ionizing radiation safety and security training initiated by the Radiation Protection Officer (PPR) team at Dr. RSUP. Kariadi Semarang. During the current pandemic, implemented the training by modifying what was previously done using face-to-face and field practice into online delivery of material and making videos as a substitute for field practice. As a result, these activities can run well and smoothly. The impression from the training participants stated that this training was beneficial and should be done regularly. Abstract:
X-ray-based medical imaging has become one of the most popular imaging modalities today. Computed tomography (CT) and interventional procedures can result in higher radiation exposure for patients compared to other radiographic examinations. There has been an increase in the effective dose of > 100 mSv from some procedures. Recent studies have shown that multiphase CT imaging and repeated imaging provide larger radiation doses in some patients. In considering the effective dose (E) for each patient, it is essential to note that the risk per Sv tends to be greater on average in pediatric patients than in adults. In addition, E can be used to describe the possible risk to the patient. Dose management is essential in monitoring and controlling patient doses. Consistent and systematic monitoring of radiation dose is needed to improve the quality of diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Dose monitoring activities include performance control, optimization of protocols used, corrective actions against non-standard practices, and raising awareness for radiation workers to minimize risks. The use of a dose monitoring system (Dose Monitoring System) responds to concerns about the radiation risk that comes from diagnostic imaging modalities, particularly Computed Tomography (CT) and fluoroscopy in interventional procedures. The dose monitoring system (Dose Monitoring System) has developed into a requirement in monitoring and controlling patient doses and is one of the applications of radiation safety culture that can improve diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Abstract:
Ionizing radiation in the medical world has long been used, both for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. But the use of ionizing radiation, besides helping a lot in diagnosis and therapy, ionizing radiation is also hazardous for us. The effects of ionizing radiation on humans are divided into two types, namely stochastic effects, and non-stochastic (deterministic) effects. Of the two kinds of effects caused by ionizing radiation, the stochastic effect needs special attention. Because the dose-limiting parameter does not exist, how much radiation dose can cause the stochastic effect. We only have the principle that no matter how small the radiation that hits us, it will still impact us. The mechanism for this effect is either a direct effect or an indirect effect, or a newly discovered effect, namely the bystander effect, all of which lead to DNA damage. This DNA damage will cause various kinds of health problems for us. Keywords: Stochastic Effect, DNA Damage. Gene Mutation, Bystander Effect

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) with Smart mA software on water phantom image quality and CTDIvol dose. The researched image quality is CT Number and noise. In addition, the CT Number is evaluated for accuracy, uniformity, and noise using the Noise Power Spectrum method. The results of image measurements with and without Smart mA on CT Number accuracy are still in the Standard range of ± 4 CT, the uniformity value of CT Number and noise is also still within the Standard, namely ± 2 CT. The use of Smart mA increases the noise value by 14.29%. The noise value from the noise power spectrum analysis when using Smart mA is higher than without using Smart mA. Meanwhile, the CTDIvol radiation dose from using Smart mA decreases by 52.33%. Image quality using Smart mA has a CT Number value almost the same or uniform with the test object, namely water phantom, so that the use of Smart mA can characterize body tissues well, but the noise value generated is more significant than without using Smart mA. Although the noise value generated by Smart mA is more excellent, visually, the noise value does not disturb the radiologist too much in determining the diagnosis because the image quality is still in good condition so that it can give a dose according to the patient's body thickness according to the ALARA principle.
