Abstract:

Onomatopoeic vocabulary in Japanese is defined as a word that not only symbolizes the sounds/ sounds of living things such as animals and humans, sounds produced by inanimate objects, and sounds produced by natural phenomena. This study aims to describe phonological structures of CV-type onomatopoeia used in battle-themed shounen manga. This research's objects are all onomatopoeias used purely to symbolize sounds, movements, and conditions in the manga. This research was conducted using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data sources for this study were eight titles of battle-themed manga series contained in the shuukan shounen manga tabloids published throughout 2018. The results of this study were the discovery of 41 types of phonological structures from CV-type onomatopoeia used in battle-themed shounen manga. Then, from the 41 types of phonological structures, it can be concluded that the tendency to use CV-type onomatopoeia in battle-themed shounen manga is onomatopoeia with phonological structures ending in a long sound (/R/). Sehingga usaha yang dilakukan seseorang untuk mencari informasi dapat dinamakan dengan proses belajar. Metode proses belajar dapat dilakukan dengan murid didampingi oleh tutor yang menguasai suatu materi dengan suatu jadwal tertentu. Hal ini disebut dengan metode belajar tradisional, namun seiring berkembangnya waktu proses belajar dapat dilakukan secara otodidak dengan menggunakan media tutorial yang dilengkapi ilustrasi. Salah satunya adalah menggambar anatomi manusia dengan gaya Shounen Manga yang berkembang seiring kejenuhan pada target audience. Sehingga diperlukan perancangan buku tutorial menggambar anatomi Shounen Manga yang mampu meningkatkan minat dan mempermudah pembelajaran bagi remaja. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan metode secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa studi pustaka, kuesioner, dan observasi. Lalu didukung oleh media seperti buku sketsa, cover pen tablet, cat air, dan akun Instagram.

Abstract:

Shounen is one of the most popular genres of anime. Although Shounen is usually targeted at younger boys, it is often consumed by audiences of all ages, such as Naruto and its sequel, Naruto Shippuden. In this study, I will focus on identifying the masculinity within the male ninjas in the series and analyzing the motivations behind the exercise of masculinity to find the ideal masculinity. I will combine the masculinity theory with the Japanese’s manhood, to analyze the ideal masculinity in the text. Through my analysis, I find that the male ninjas of these anime series show different kinds of masculinity, which divides them into two roles, protagonist and antagonist. The protagonists are the ones who thrive to fight for others while the antagonists fight only to benefit themselves. As a result, the protagonists are able to possess the ideal masculinity as they can exercise their masculinity positively.Keywords: anime, masculinity, male ninjas, protagonist, antagonist.

Abstract:

This study aims to describe the topic-comment structure in the discourse of the lyrics of the song Shounen to Mahou no Robotto. The method used in data collection is the free-to-talk method, while for the study of data, the method used is the distributional method. The data is taken from the discourse of the lyrics of the song Shounen to Mahou no Robotto. A distributional study method is used at the data analysis stage, which uses a determining tool for language elements. From the results of the research, most of the topics found in the form of subjects that were topicalized with the topic particle marker wa, but topics can also be stated by moving elements that are not subjected to the beginning of the sentence, even though the particle wa does not mark them. Topicalization can occur in single or compound sentences. In compound sentences, the same topic can be used in both clauses, or the two clauses can have different topics. This study found more topicalization data without wa particle markers than previous studies, indicating the characteristics of song lyrics data that used language more flexibly than written data sources.

Abstract:

This study examines the phobia phenomenon on character Tokujira Aoi from manga Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mau Uso wo Kasaneru created by namo. The reason for this study is because, amongst the character with phobia in any anime or manga, Tokujira Aoi is one of androphobia character that not using any violence nor passive-aggressive behaviour toward the subject of her fear, which is male. Therefore, the purpose of the study of this study is to examine how reaction of androphobia occurs on Tokujira Aoi. The data source of this study is using the dialogues between Tokujira Aoi and other characters on manga Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mau Uso wo Kasaneru. Reading and note-taking procedures are used in this study, which also utilized a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The data analysis presentation is by using informal method which the data presented by word-by-word descriptive explanation. The result on this study are concluded that androphobia phenomenon on Tokujira Aoi is classified a specific phobia. Tokujira Aoi has two reaction regarding her fear of man, which are physical and emotional reaction, that caused by trauma.

This research discusses about “Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Tokoh Sata Senda in Manga Keppeki Shounen Kanzen Soubi!! By Touya Tobina”. The research aims to provide psychology knowledge about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The research metdod used was descriptive analysis. There were five theories used in this research, they were the psychology literature theory by Wellek and Austin (1989), theory of OCD by Wilson (2001) ,Oltmanns and Emery (2003), theory of Cognitive therapy by Aron T Beck (1976) semiotics by Danesi (2007). The result obtained from this research , Sata Senda is suffer from OCD with behavior (1) , Washing and Cleaning, (2) Ordering, (3) Checking, (4) Ritual. Physiology, Sata Senda has a neat and reclusive appearance to avoid germ and disease. Psychology, Senda OCD can be seen from his excessive behavior like washing and cleaning, ordering all things around, over checking a things again and again, and do ritual repeatly everyday. Sociologically, Senda OCD can affect people around him like ordering his friends to washing everytime they touch something. The Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Sata Senda caused by two factors there is internal factors that can from trauma ans stress and external factors that came from people around him. The efforts of Sata Senda figure to decrease his OCD behaviour is from internally is Senda has intention to be a normal person, which is make Senda trying to overcome his OCD by decreasing his anxiety from the things that are surrounding him. Salah satu komponen penting dalam sebuah film atau serial animasi selain dari cerita adalah karakter. Karakter utama sebagai penggerak plot pada umumnya menjadi titik fokus dan seringkali menjadi karakter favorit dari penggemar. Dalam beberapa serial tidak jarang ditemukan adanya penggemar yang lebih menyukai karakter pendamping. Mengapa hal tersebut dapat terjadi? Belum banyak penelitian mengenai topik resepsi penggemar terhadap karakter dan topik ini sangat menarik dan penting untuk dipelajari. Masalah resepsi dalam pemahaman karakter dapat dipahami dengan pendekatan naratologi kognitif dengan teori ‘kategorisasi dan personalisasi’ oleh Schneider. Struktur simpati dari Murray Smith juga digunakan untuk secara lebih jauh melihat tingkat keterikatan penggemar dengan karakter favorit mereka. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada karakter-karakter dari serial anime shounen yang memiliki karakter pendamping yang lebih populer dibandingkan dengan karakter utama. Dari penelitian ini, teridentifikasi enam kategori dalam resepsi penggemar yaitu kepribadian, perkembangan karakter, tujuan, desain/audio-video, jalinan hubungan antar karakter dan emosi. Penggemar yang secara berkelanjutan mengevaluasi tindakan yang dilakukan oleh karakter dan seberapa dalamnya mereka memahami emosi dan hubungan antar karakter akan berpengaruh pada rasa keterikatan penggemar dengan karakter.

Abstract:

Anime is an animated film with a distinctive graphic design originating from Japan, which is widely favored by various groups. anime itself has a genre like a movie in general, but there is a slight difference from ordinary films, anime has additional genres that are not in ordinary films, such as the Ecchi, Mahou Shoujou, Seinen, Shounen, and Josei genres. Since those genres only exist in anime, this research is devoted to predicting those anime genres. The prediction will use posters from the anime itself, with the help of image processing, namely the Convolutional Neural Network method and Transfer Learning. Transfer Learning will be implanted as a comparison of the performance of the existing architecture with the architecture that will be created, whether the architecture is able to process the dataset properly. The dataset to be used is a dataset of posters and csv documents containing images and details of the anime, the dataset contains anime data from 1980 to 2021 and contains 11651 anime poster data which has different resolution sizes. The ResNet50 model has the highest accuracy rate of 48% with a loss rate of 36%, while InceptionV3 produces 35% accuracy with 69% loss. At the time of testing ResNet50 gave the smallest genre percentage value of CustomModel and InceptionV3, while CustomModel gave the highest genre value. In addition to the value, all modes also predicted the genre well. Especially InceptionV3 is able to predict the music genre, because the music genre has a very small number of datasets, and this music genre is difficult to predict by the ResNet50 and CustomModel models.

The numerical simulation of multipahse flow characteristics during the launch process from the tube of the submarine vehicle are investigated, obtains the variation rules of the movement characteristic of the gas inside the tube, the cavity shape of around the vehicle body, the surface pressure coefficient during the movement process. Abstract:

In this study, the guava-origin fruits were collected from different cultivated regions in Jordan, then scanned using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to reveal the chemical constituents. The chemical contents were then used with the help of multivariate analysis to classify the regions. Guava fruit was collected from; Northern Shouneh-1, Northern Shouneh-2, Madaba, Saham Al-Kfarat, and Southern Shouneh. Hydrodistillation was implemented to extract the essential oils from guava fruits. Comprehensive chemical profiling of the extracted essential oils was achieved using (GC -MS). A total of thirty-eight chemical compounds have been detected and identified with variances from one region to another. Limonene, longifolene, β-copaene, and t-muurolo were found in high concentrations among the other detected compounds. The GC-MS data were subjected to Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) to reveal the similarities/differences between guava fruit regions. The Northern Shouneh-1 and Madaba regions' fruits showed high similarity to each other due to the distinct contents of limonene and longifolene. On the other hand, cadinol was the main compound in Saham Kfarat and Southern Shouneh regions. Finally, Northern Shouneh-2 guava samples showed different content than other regions due to the distinguished levels of t-muurolol. Guava classification based on the GC-MS profile will meet the practical needs of its applications in food production and will contribute to the standardization of commercially available cultivars in Jordan.

Abstract:

This study investigates differences in respiratory-laryngeal coordination between normal and shouted speech in the production of a vowel-plosive-vowel utterance, with the goal toward synthesis of such utterances in loud speech. The results showed that compared to normal condition, shouted speech produced higher intraoral pressure during vocal tract closure, higher airflow at the release of vocal tract closure, increased fundamental frequency and increased duration of glottal closure during the following vowel, and increased respiratory activities. For unvoiced plosives, shouted speech also produced increased voice onset time of the following vowel, but its importance to the perception of shouted speech was small. Computational simulations further showed that such increased voice onset time is likely due to increased maximum vocal fold abduction and/or delayed initiation of vocal fold adduction, which are necessary to avoid voice onset immediately after the release of vocal tract closure in conditions of high subglottal pressure.

Abstract:

Shoumei is a kind of white tea (slightly fermented Camellia sinensis) that is rich in polyphenols. In this study, polyphenols were extracted from Shoumei. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) showed that the polyphenols included mainly gallic acid, catechin, hyperoside, and sulfuretin. In an in vitro experiment, H2O2 was used to induce oxidative damage in human normal hepatic L-02 cells. In an animal experiment, CCl4 was used to induce liver injury. The in vitro results showed that Shoumei polyphenols inhibited oxidative damage in normal hepatic L-02 cells, and the in vivo results showed that the polyphenols effectively reduced liver index values in mice with liver injury. The polyphenols also decreased aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), nitric oxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 12 (IL-12), tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and interferon gamma (IFN-γ) levels and increased albumin (ALB), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) levels in the serum of mice with liver injury. Furthermore, pathological observation showed that the Shoumei polyphenols reduced CCl4-induced hepatocyte damage. qRT-PCR and Western blotting showed that the polyphenols upregulated the mRNA and protein expression of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), manganese- (Mn-) SOD, copper/zinc- (Cu/Zn-) SOD, CAT, and inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) alpha (IκB-α) and downregulated the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and NF-κB p65. The Shoumei polyphenols had a preventive effect against CCl4-induced mouse liver injury equivalent to that of silymarin. The four polyphenols identified as the key substances responsible for this effect mediated the effect through their antioxidant capacity. These results suggest that Shoumei polyphenols are high-quality natural products with liver-protective effects.

AbstractGiven his grand humanistic vision, how should one explain Wang Yangming's (Wang Shouren; 1472-1529) deep engagements in borderland warfare? What did he think he was doing, and how should one place his approaches in the broader contexts of the intellectual and political discourses of mid-Ming China? Focusing on Wang's activities in the southern province of Guangxi in 1528 (particularly his "pacification" of the native domain of Tianzhou as well as his military campaign against the "Yao bandits" in the Rattan Gorge area), this essay explains not only how Wang dealt with the perceived problems of the "non-Chinese" (man, yi, etc.) but also how his approaches should be understood in terms of the inner logic of his thoughts as well as the intellectual and political debates of his time. Étant donné sa noble vision humaniste, comment expliquer que Wang Yangming (Wang Shouren, 1479-1529) ait pu s'engager à fond dans des guerres frontalières? Comment envisageait-il ses propres actions, et comment comprendre son approche dans le contexte plus large du discours intellectuel et politique au milieu des Ming? The film The King's Speech takes the theme of British work history about Prince Albert's journey to overcome his stuttering problem with a therapist named Lionel Logue who later becomes his best friend. This film has received many awards from various world-class awards, one of which is the Oscar. This study focuses on analyzing the cinematographic aspect of the use of shot over shoulder in the film The King's Speech. Analytical method with interpretive visual with descriptive qualitative research type. The results showed that the use of shot over the shoulder was built in stages with the motivation to show the close friendship between the characters.

Zhecho Chankov is an example of a person who has dedicated his life to geography and who has contributed a lot to its consolidation and popularization in Bulgaria. He has also contributed greatly to the foundation and organizational consolidation of the Bulgarian geographical society. He is the author of the first monograph on the population of Bulgaria and the author of geography dictionaries and textbooks. Chankov is one of the greatest donators of Dobri Voynikov chitalishte in his hometown Shoumen. Because of his professional, academic and social work he should be considered one of the most prominent Bulgarian geographers from the first half of the 20th century.
