Abstract:
In this paper, we examine factors affecting owners’ intention for renovation of their detached houses. Furthermore, we analyze their interest in choosing a one-stop-shop (OSS) service for the renovation, even though such a concept is not yet established in Sweden, but emerging in other parts of Europe. Our study is based on responses to an online questionnaire survey of 971 house owners residing in Kronoberg Region in Sweden. About 76% of the respondents intend to renovate in the near future, with approximately 71% of them preferring to renovate individual components of their dwelling and 5% to renovate their whole house in steps. House owners of younger age, higher income, higher education, and those with an interest for environmental issues, were the ones most interested in physical renovations, which improves energy efficiency of the building. For those house owners, one-stop-shop can facilitate the decision-making process, and help them to choose those measures that will improve their quality of life. Approximately 20% of the respondents had a positive view towards an one-stop-shop, which is an indicator that market for such a service exists. Parameters such as quality of work, cost and energy savings and specification of measures to be adopted are the key for the promotion of one-stop-shop. Additionally, house owners want to have a certain level of involvement in the selection of actors performing the renovation. Moreover, financial incentives, e.g., loans, do not play a significant role for the selection of one-stop-shop, but act as complementary motive for house owners.

Abstract:
The paper means to explore how people use and perceive the shop house corridor as the most built environment found in Medan, Indonesia. The research observed the adaptation and or adjustment pattern of people in their built environment through behavioral mapping. The study did an interview with users of the space to get people perception of the built environment quality. The result indicates that people used space mostly for market activities, in particular for the movable street vendor, besides the circulation path function. The users make some adaptation to fit their needs. They “divided” urban space and mark their territory based on the “unwritten agreement” and tolerance. Keywords: Urban corridor; built environment; environment behavior; Medan.eISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. Abstract:
Given the very high variety of self-built shop houses in Indonesia, this paper unfolds the pattern of the shop house layout through its spatial connectivity. The method of Hillier and Hanson (1984) is modified and used to discover the type of connectivity and its effect to the functional spaces. By analyzing samples from Chinese & Javanese settlement in Yogyakarta, the result shows that the spatial connectivity of the Chinese shop houses has the inclination of direct connectivity than is the Javanese. This may assume that in Chinese shop houses the access to the rooms is more strictly controlled and circulation is more regulated than in Javanese shop houses. Further results also show the distinct characteristic differences that are inward/outward orientation, multi-unit/single-unit, linear/cluster organization, and closeness/openness. The 2020 COVID-19 outbreak has deeply redefined our relationship to public spaces. Fear of transmission (both direct and indirect) has strucked all sectors and put down public facilities such as schools, restaurants, and offices. The implementation of restrictions on community activities in Jakarta alone has resulted in 1030 restaurants permanently closed and 400 restaurants to temporary closed from early 2020 to 2021. Public preference has shifted to outdoor area with open air space to reduce the possibility of transmision. The younger Franz joined the family business in 1821 and between 1821–1829 worked as a bookseller in Olomouc. He moved to Brno in 1829 and took over the management of the publishing house and bookstore. He founded the first public book-rental shop at the bookstore in 1831. His brother decided to sell him his printing business in 1836, which made Franz Gastl the sole owner of an ever-growing company (the company of Franz Gastl became a printing company, lithographic shop, type foundry, publishing house, bookstore and book-rental shop). Franz Gastl died in 1855, and his company was taken over by his son Georg Gastl, who continued his father’s activities.

Abstract:
This paper on the urban preservation has dual themes to discuss that preserve the value of the architectural culture, and satisfy the needs of the architectural renewal. The intention is to set up a suitable way for the urban preservation on the view of the dwellers. Therefore, we should be allowed to renew the part of the traditional shop-house on the needs of contemporary life-style, but also have to preserve a minimal space for the historical characters. From the case study on the traditional shop-houses of Sheen-None street, Wu-tiao Gang, in Tainan city, Taiwan. We survey to understand what spaces the dwellers transfer, when they live in their traditional shop-houses for contemporary lifestyle. And we use the information to work out the minimal preservation space by “volume control”. In conclusion, the minimal preservation space is “the first hall and the first atrium”, but it also needs to keep the use of the first floor and the second floor of the second hall, so these total spaces could be sufficient for a household living.

Abstract:
This study on the settlement preservation has dual themes of ensuring the continuation of the architectural history and culture, and emphasizing on the needs of contemporary living space. We survey to understand what spaces has been changed when the dwellers lived their traditional shop-house for contemporary life. The intention is to set up a suitable way for settlement preservation on the view of the dwellers. We study these transformations on the traditional shop-houses of the Sheen-None street, Wu-tiao Gang, in Tainan city, Taiwan. The results indicate that preservation projects proposals should make a balance between preservation and alteration in the future. The north shop-houses preserve the first hall to the second hall, and the third hall could be rebuilt, and satisfy the needs of the architectural renewal. The south shop-houses preserve the first hall to the first atrium, and the second hall could be rebuilt, and satisfy the needs of the architectural renewal.

Abstract:
Comprehensively understanding the factors influencing crime is a prerequisite for preventing and combating crime. Although some studies have investigated the relationship between environmental factors and property crime, the interaction between factors was not fully considered in these studies, and the explanation of complex factors may be insufficient. This paper explored the influence of environmental factors on property crime using factor regression and factor interaction based on data from the central city of Lanzhou, China. Our findings showed that: (1) The distribution of crime cases showed the pattern of a local multi-center. Shop density, hotel density, entertainment density and house price were the four dominant environmental drivers of property crime; (2) The relationship between the light intensity and property crime had different correlation explanations in temporal projection and spatial projection. There was a normal distribution curve between the number of property crimes and the Price-to-Earnings Ratio (PE Ratio) of the community house price; and (3) The results of the factor interaction indicated that the effect of all factors on crime showed a two-factor enhancement. As an important catalyst, shop density had the strongest interaction with other factors. Shop density gradient influenced the degree of interpretation of spatial heterogeneity of property crime.

Abstract: Shop house is one of the building type in the city centre. This type emerged because of the additional trade activity. Both activities, household and trading, harmonically live side by side for a quiet long time. Problems emerged when the tradeing activity became more dominant and demands more space while the lot was limited. This condition tends to drive function and the physical of the building to transform. Nowadays its difficult to recognize the genuine form of a shop house, it has transform into a new shape that don’t reflect the existence of a recidence function. At night, the city centre become quiet and dark, little or no existence of life, complete opposite with the daytime. By observation and typo-morfology approach this research will investigate the transformation on shop houses. Are the shop houses still occupied? Will the building transformation shift or even eliminate the occupancy function of the shop houses? The mass transformation on this area is feared to change the city centre into a busy trade area but no life at nights. The city centre as one of the most expencieve area is only properly to be used maximally both daytime and nightime, so the interference of the Local Government is expected to arrange the rules of changes. Transformation that occour is expected not to change the mixed area function: trade and residence, comfortable and worthy to be used day and night. Keywords: shop house, building transformation, liveable area Abstrak: Rumah-toko adalah salah satu tipe bangunan hunian di kawasan pusat kota. Abstract:
: One of the key challenges confronting a production system is the accurate prediction of flow time (completion time) and due date of jobs coming into the job-shop. The inaccuracy in the determination of flow time and due date could lead to problems of dead line misses, high holding cost for waiting jobs and/or completed jobs, technical and cost inefficiency; and customer dissatisfaction, among others. In this paper, a Computer-Aided System which is based on an empirical model for predicting job-shop flow time and due-date was developed. The Computer-Aided System makes use of historical production data and other peculiar in-house factors of an organization. The Computer-Aided System was tested with real life job-shop data in order to test its efficiency and it was found to be efficient in predicting flow time and due date of jobs.

Abstract:
The houses in early modern European cities almost all had names and signs. These are usually taken to be an early form of advertising, or else a way of finding one's way around the city in times before street names and numbering. This article argues that their primary purpose was to mark the individual, family or ethnic identity of the house owner or tenant. During the eighteenth century the names and signs changed in character, and by the mid-nineteenth century they had almost disappeared from city centres, primarily as a result of changes in individual and family identity among the urban middle classes, and of the transformation of neighbourhood communities under the pressure of urban economic and social integration. The evolution of house names and shop signs therefore illustrates the changing relationship between the city's residents and the urban environment.

Abstract:
Socioeconomic attributes are essential characteristics of people, and many studies on economic attribute inference focus on data that contain user profile information. For data without user profiles, like smart card data, there is no validated method for inferring individual economic attributes. This study aims to bridge this gap by formulating a mobility to attribute framework to infer passengers’ economic attributes based on the relationship between individual mobility and personal attributes. This framework integrates shop consumer prices, house prices, and smart card data using three steps: individual mobility extraction, location feature identification, and economic attribute inference. Each passenger’s individual mobility is extracted by smart card data. Economic features of stations are described using house price and shop consumer price data. Then, each passenger’s comprehensive consumption indicator set is formulated by integrating these data. Finally, individual economic levels are classified. From the case study of Beijing, commuting distance and trip frequency using the metro have a negative correlation with passengers’ income and the results confirm that metro passengers are mainly in the low- and middle-income groups. This study improves on passenger information extracted from data without user profile information and provides a method to integrate multisource big data mining for more information.

Abstract The millennial lifestyle encourages the development of coffee drinks, accompanied by the proliferation of coffee shops. Coffee and avocado are some of the potential plantation products in Dusun Sirap, Semarang. Currently, there is no processing of avocado plantation products at the coffee shop. This study aimed to produce avocado coffee at the Doesoen Sirap coffee shop according to consumer preference by Quality Function Deployment method. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaires showed that seven attributes, namely taste, texture, color, size, price, topping, and drinking aids in avocado coffee on the market today, have not satisfied consumers. Therefore, technical needs are required to achieve customer satisfaction on these attributes. Avocado coffee has eight technical requirements. One of the highest technical requirements is the mass ratio of avocado, ice, water, and sugar to create the sweet taste of avocado juice. After forming the House of Quality matrix, there are three design concepts for the avocado coffee prototype that will be made. Based on interviews with the shop barista as a trained panelist, avocado coffee products with a sugar dose of 25 mg were the chosen concept.

Indonesia is a nation consisting of various ethnicities, races, and cultures. It is because the location of the Indonesian archipelago was in the traffic trade in the early days of the 5th century AD. Chinese ethnic is one ethnicity that already has had a relationship with the Southeast Asian region. In the 19th century shop houses were spread in the coastal areas and concentrated only in the Chinatown. Research used qualitative method with a historical approach. Data were obtained from a variety of literature, both journal articles, books, and the Internet. The results show that in the beginning the shop houses were built by the colonial government to implement a plot system such in the Europe. However, by the influence of the Chinese descendants, limited land with a high population density makes the system become a clever problem solving. Acculturation is a process that refers to the cultural and psychological changes due to encounters with culturally different people. This process allows culture and ethnic groups adapt to another culture. Research concludes that shop house can be seen as a result of Chinese descendants and Dutch acculturation existing in the coastal cities of Indonesia.

Abstract The history of the design decisions directly related to the construction of the Sydney Opera House remains largely anecdotal. A rich group of items recently discovered in Australia may now start filling this gap, as documents brought to light include the drawings issued by the general contractor to build the concrete formwork for the shells, drawings of the temporary structures and falsework, site images, and contractor’s notes. All in all, the drawings display sophisticated combinatory solutions for attaining the structural form required whilst introducing repetition and flexibility in the making of the discrete pieces. While suggesting a remarkable combination of manufacturing and structural shrewdness, these blueprints call into question the canonical history of the building roof’s famous ‘sails’, the rhetoric of the ‘spherical solution’ used to arrive at them, and, most importantly, the information production and knowledge management model we conventionally work within.

Toko A mendapatkan nilai sebesar 6.0144, 2. Toko B mendapatkan nilai sebesar 6.0117, 3. Toko C mendapatkan nilai sebesar 5.5871, 4. Toko E mendapatkan nilai sebesar 5.1253. 5. Toko D mendapatkan nilai sebesar 4.8253, 5. Kata kunci—Ruko, WASPAS. ABSTRACTA shop house or more commonly referred to as a shop house is a designation for buildings in Indonesia which are generally made of two to five floors, where they have more than one function, namely residential and commercial functions. The lower floor is used as a place of business or office, while the upper floor is used as a residence. Construction of shop houses is now being carried out in various cities and regions. This is in line with the community's need for means of buying and selling transactions in an increasingly developing economic system. Shop buildings are also known as shop houses or houses that are also used as places of business. The shop buildings are generally built next to other shophouses. This aims to build a certain complex that will make it easier for the community to carry out all their business activities in one place. Strategic location is also important when managing shop houses. Therefore, the researcher intends to analyze determining strategic shop houses using the WASPAS (Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) method. WASPAS (Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) is a method that can reduce errors or optimize the assessment for the selection of the highest and lowest values. In this study, researchers used several criteria including distance, socio-economic conditions, environment, transportation and infrastructure completeness. From these calculations, the results obtained from the analysis to determine the best shophouse using the WASPAS (Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) method are as follows: 1. Store A gets a value of 6.0144, 2. Store B gets a value of 6.0117, 3. Store C gets a value of 5.5871 , 4. Store E got a value of 5.1253. 5. Store D received a score of 4,8253.5.Keywords—Ruko, WASPAS.

Abstract:
The Zelenyi [Green] Bazaar is like a self-contained village, where each house is a small shop. The Chinese traded and lived here. They represented ninety percent [of the bazaar population]; the rest of the territory was inhabited by the poorer Russian emigrants, who were only able to buy small, cheap houses and only lived in these, without trading in them. At the other ends of the city these people were referred to as the Zelenobazarskie [the people from Zelenyi Bazaar], which was not exactly a compliment. The small house-shops were closely packed together—God forbid a fire was to break out—when this happened, the flames were carried from house to house with unbelievable speed and destroyed the wooden constructions. And when it had rained, the ground was thick with mud. The bazaar itself was abundant with all possible products, with meat and fish as well as many kinds of textiles. There were two or three photographic studios and even several small tailors. The bazaar was generally seen as the place where it was practical to have a look at all possible goods.

Abstract:
Geophysical measurements were conducted to locate building sites at a nineteenth‐century fort in Michigan. The survey area, Fort Wilkins, was built during the copper boom of the 1840s and is located at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Resistivity and magnetic surveys were conducted over the locations of former privies, a guard house, a carpenter house, and a blacksmith shop. The resistivity surveys were made using a half‐Schlumberger array with electrode spacings of 0.3, 0.6, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 m. A masonry foundation and the privies are indicated by high‐low resistivity pairs. Analog modeling was used to create anomalies similar to those seen over the privies. Measurements of the vertical magnetic gradient yielded anomalies which are associated primarily with modern objects.

Abstract:
The buying and selling service (Jastip) is a new symptom of Indonesian society. Jastip is a bridge for online shoppers who want to shop, from teenagers, and new rich people to socialite mothers. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, jastip has actually become a new style for consumers to shop without the need to leave the house, in addition to not being tired, to minimize the spread of Covid-19. This article will explore these symptoms as part of the consumptive culture of society, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study indicate that the culture of shopping through courier services cannot be separated from what Jean Baudrillard calls a mode of consumption. As for the meaning, this phenomenon is also interpreted as a way to raise one's social status. By using certain products or brands, they feel that others will respect them. Keywords: Jastip, Behavior, Consumptive Culture, Society.
