Abstract:
The issue of the old age – senectus arise in abundance in the writings of many ancient authors. First of all we can see it in the biographic works written both in biographies of Saints and in other works. In most cases the purpose of these works was the admiration of an exceptional person, whose the author sometimes was a disciple, and the education and sanctification of the Christian reader as well. Therefore the authors of ancient biographies used some known in antiquity forms for reaching their purpose. One of them was the fi­gure of old man (senex, senior), who was a synonym of wisdom and holiness. Gregory the Great writes relatively much, although not directly, about the education of man. Certainly the cause of such his attitude was the disastrous situation of Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire. Gregory wants to teach his reader the wisdom. The wisdom (which is a synonym of old age (senectus) is seen first of all in the lives of the old men (senes, seniores). This article is a presentation and analyse of above-mentioned problem on the basis of three latin terms: senectus, senex, senior used by Gregory the Great.

Abstract:
Produksi minyak sereh di Indonesia merupakan salah satu yang terbesar di dunia. Akan tetapi, pemanfaatan dari minyak sereh masih sangat kurang. Minyak sereh diisolasi dari daun sereh wangi Jawa (Cymbopogon Winterianus Jowwit). Minyak sereh ini mengandung bermacam senyawa, salah satunya senyawa geraniol. Senyawa ini memiliki struktur yang sama dengan feromon yang digunakan oleh lebah madu (A. Mellifera) dalam berkomunikasi dengan lebah madu lain. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengisolasi minyak sereh dari daun sereh adalah metode distilasi uap. Pengkayaan kandungan geraniol dalam minyak sereh digunakan refluks. Distilasi fraksinasi vakum dilakukan untuk mengisolasi geraniol dari minyak sereh. Minyak sereh yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diisolasi dari 10 kg daun sereh wangi dengan distilasi uap dan menghasilkan minyak sereh sebanyak 42,5 mL (0,373%) dengan warna kuning bening mengkilat bau khas sereh. Data kromatogram GC-MS minyak sereh menunjukkan kandungan geraniol sebanyak 65,34%. Kandungan geraniol dalam minyak sereh meningkat menjadi 81,96% setelah direfluks dengan larutan NaOH dalam etanol akibat terjadinya reaksi hidrolisis geranil asetat menjadi geraniol. Geraniol diperoleh dari minyak sereh dengan distilasi fraksinasi vakum pada tekanan 110 mmHg. Geraniol yang diperoleh terbukti mampu menarik lebah madu.Kata kunci: Minyak sereh, geraniol, feromon, lebah madu

Abstract:
Grand Theater Senen (GTS) is one of the first cinemas in Jakarta. Now the cinema is no longer tied to a single building, which reduces the relevance of a theater building and causes degradation in the use of this building. The misuse of the building as a blue film screening venue, prostitution and drug sales were the reasons for its closure in 2017. It is located at Simpang Lima Senen, one of the busiest crossroads in Jakarta. Inheriting the unique Art Deco style in its design, GTS which has been around for a long time since the 1970s is a silent witness to developments and tangible evidence of changes in Senen. However, after the fifth year, there has been no follow-up or plan from the government or related parties to revitalize the Grand Theater Senen building. Through an adaptive reuse approach, the Grand Theater Senen building is promoted to complement the spatial, social, programmatic and demographic structures of Senen. Carrying this old building into a modern office with a touch of Art Deco architectural characteristics, it becomes the basic design basis which is further developed as the main feature of the building, which is combined and matched with modern architectural styles, so as to create a harmonious design that combines old and new elements. Continuing the collective memory of Senen as a form of identification of the true identity of the Senen area. Keywords: Grand Theatre Senen; Revitalization; Adaptive Reuse; Art Deco; Senen Abstrak Grand Theater Senen (GTS) merupakan salah satu gedung bioskop pertama di Jakarta. Kini bioskop tidak lagi terikat dengan sebuah gedung tunggal, yang menyebabkan relevansi sebuah gedung theater berkurang dan meyebabkan degradasi dalam penggunaan bangunan ini. Penyalahgunaan gedung sebagai tempat pemutaran film biru, prostitusi dan penjualan narkoba menjadi alasan penutupannya di tahun 2017. Terletak di Simpang Lima Senen, salah satu persimpangan jalan tersibuk di Jakarta. Mewarisi gaya Art Deco yang unik dalam desainnya, GTS yang telah berdiri lama sejak tahun 1970-an menjadi saksi bisu perkembangan serta bukti nyata perubahan di Senen.Namun, setelah tahun kelima, belum ada tindak lanjut atau rencana dari pemerintah atau pihak terkait untuk merevitalisasi gedung Grand Theater Senen. Melalui pendekatan adaptif reuse, gedung Grand Theater Senen dipromosikan untuk melengkapi struktur spasial, sosial, program dan demografi Senen. Mengusung bangunan tua ini menjadi sebuah perkantoran modern dengan sentuhan ciri khas arsitektur Art Deco, menjadi landasan dasar desain yang dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai ciri utama bangunan, yang dipadukan dan dicocokkan dengan gaya arsitektur modern, sehingga tercipta desain yang harmonis yang memadukan unsur lama dan baru. Seeing these issues, the desain project aims to restore the identity and popularity of Senen as a trading center in Jakarta by using urban acupuncture and datascape, where the desain is planned through scientific data and research related to Senen, and current trends/phenomena by creating Senen Shoppertaintment, which is a combination of entertainment and shopping based on the current trade trend, namely live shopping, where digitally Senen, shops, and products can be marketed and sold, which is useful for attracting visitors to come to Senen with something new and interesting and liven back Senen as Jakarta's trading center. Namun demikian, saat ini kawasan Pasar Senen mengalami penurunan popularitas dan menjadi kawasan yang kumuh serta kehilangan identitasnya. Melihat isu tersebut, proyek perancangan bertujuan untuk mengembalikan identitas dan popularitas Senen sebagai pusat perdagangan Jakarta dengan menggunakan urban acupuncture dan datascape, dimana perancangan direncanakan melalui data dan penelitian ilmiah terkait kawasan Senen, dan tren/ fenomena saat ini dengan membuat sebuah proyek Senen Shoppertaintment yang merupakan gabungan antara hiburan dan shopping ditinjau dari tren dagang saat ini yaitu live shopping, dimana secara digital Senen, toko, dan produk bisa dipasarkan dan dijual, yang berguna untuk menarik pengunjung untuk datang ke Senen dengan sesuatu yang baru dan menarik serta menghidupkan kawasan Senen sebagai pusat perdagangan Jakarta kembali.

Genus claudicans ou genre de 'travers', la comédie plautinienne est à la fois dérivé négatif ou forme inversée des grands genres et le lieu d'une actualité politique voilée qui lui donnent, ensemble, toute sa spécificité. Inscrite, sans discussion, dans une tradition gréco-hellénistique héritée, elle est l'objet de choix personnels et d'une originalité créatrice chargée d'intentions. Plus exactement, l'interprétation et l'adaptation des modèles induisent des moments de réflexion critique sur le rapport de l'oeuvre avec le pouvoir. Politique et poétique sont donc au centre d'une réécriture auctoriale où le senex ridiculus a aussi sa place. Dans sa lecture des sources et du monde, Plaute privilégie donc les laissés pour compte, notamment une figure parentale déviante, le vieillard souvent lubrique, capable de susciter, non seulement une satire critique, mais aussi une lecture politique en texte caché. A la polémique diffamante de son ami Naeuius, il substitue la dénonciation d'un défaut reconnu selon les règles du blâme épidictique. Mieux encore, il use d'une 'manière' cynique et d'une plaisanterie urbaine et raffinée, le lepos, qui sont les fondements mêmes d'un art poétique. Celui-ci est complété par une traversée et un mélange des genres où Aristophane et Naeuius apparaissent. Au total, parce qu'elle amuse et réclame un spectateur intelligent et perspicace, qui comprend les sens cachés, la comédie plautinienne est un théâtre complexe et intellectuel en réception spectaculaire
Genus claudicans or 'lame' genre, Plautus' comedy bears both the inverted form or negative image of predominant genres and topical political hints which together provide its genuineness. Undisputedly embedded in the Greco-hellenistic heritage, it becomes the subject of personal choices and a creative originality laden with intention. More accurately, the interpretation and adaptation of the models induce moments of critical thinking toward the link between the work of art and power. Politics and poetic art thus lay at the core of authorial rewriting in which the senex ridiculus is awarded pride of place. Throughout his study of sources and the world, Plautus sides with the left-behinds, among others the deviant father figure of a more than often lustful old man, who has a knack into initiating not only scathing satire, but also political insight woven inside the text. Contrary to his friend Naevius' prone inclination to tackle bones of contention, he levels veiled accusations against well-known faults according to the rules of epidictic blame. Better still, he uses the lepos, urbane and refined puns, albeit in a 'cynical' way, as the very basis for poetic art. The latter being supplemented by a crossing and blending of genres out of which Aristophanes and Naeuius emerge.All in all, because it amuses and calls for an acute and discerning audience, in full awareness of hidden meanings, Plautine comedy is manifold and intellectual, it's theater given spectacular reception

Abstract:
A espécie Drosophila antoneitae é cactófila, ovipositando principalmente no cacto hospedeiro Cereus hildmaniannus. Ambas as espécies são encontradas em solos drenados ou afloramentos de rocha na região de Missiones, um dos núcleos de Floresta Tropical Sazonalmente Seca (FTSS), e no litoral sul-brasileiro. O núcleo de Missiones compreende a base dos rios Paraná-Paraguai e é uma possível área de estabilidade climática durante as oscilações do Quaternário. Para avaliar a distribuição atual da diversidade genética de D. antonietae e sua associação com alterações na paisagem, foram realizadas as seguintes análises: estruturação populacional, estabelecimento de hipóteses filogeográficas e de eventos demográficos, testes de neutralidade e modelagem de nicho atual e paleoecológico. O gene mitocondrial COI e nuclear period foram analisados. O gene period é pouco variável e a distribuição da variabilidade genética é homogênea. O gene COI é bastante polimórfico e há estruturação entre as populações formando três agrupamentos: um em Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul, outro no Paraná e São Paulo e o terceiro no centro-oeste brasileiro. A população do centro-oeste brasileiro provavelmente é a mais antiga, coincidente com a área do estudo mais estável climaticamente. Este agrupamento forma uma rede de haplótipos separada, devido alta estruturação e isolamento, provavelmente tendo no rio Paraná uma importante barreira de fluxo gênico. Sugere-se que o provável centro de dispersão das demais populações de D. antonietae se localiza no sudeste brasileiro, e que houve diversos eventos de migração para as demais regiões de sua distribuição. Há indícios de polimorfismo compartilhado devido à recente diversificação das populações. Ambos os agrupamentos genéticos exibem sinais de expansão populacional, especialmente nas áreas de borda no núcleo de Missiones, onde o clima parece ter sido menos estável. O período de expansão demográfica é recente e coincidente com a maior extensão da vegetação seca, que também pode ter papel fundamental na estruturação das populações.
Drosophila antoneitae is a cactophilic species, ovipositing primarily in the host cacti Cereus hildmaniannus. Both species are found in drained soils or rocky outcrops in the Missiones region - one of the Seasonally Dry Tropical Forest (SDTF) nucleis, and in south Brazilian coast. The Missiones nuclei comprises the basin of the Paraná-Paraguai Rivers and it is a possible area of climatic stability during the Quaternary oscillations. To evaluate the current distribution of the genetic diversity of D. antoneitae and its association with landscape modifications, the following analyses were performed: populational structure, establishment of phylogeographic hypotheses and demographic events, neutrality tests and paleoecological niche modeling. The mitochondrial gene COI and the nuclear gene period were analyzed. The gene period had low genetic diversity and an homogeneity on the distribution of genetic variability. For gene COI analysis we found a high polymorphism and genetic structure among populations, forming three groups: one in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, another in Paraná and São Paulo and the third in the midwestern Brazil. The midwestern population is probably the oldest one, coinciding with the most climatically stable area of this study. This group forms a network of separate haplotypes, due to a high structuring and isolation, probably with Paraná River acting as major barrier for gene flow. We suggest that the possible center of dispersion of the remaining populations of D. antonietae is located in southeastern Brazil, and there were several migration events to other regions of its distribution. There is evidence of shared polymorphism due to recent diversification of populations. Both gene clusters exhibit signs of population expansion, especially in border areas at the Missiones nuclei, where the climate seems less stable. The demographic expansion period is recent and coincides with the major expansion of dry vegetation, which can also play a critical role in structuring populations.

Abstract:
This is the first academic study of the socialist critical design practice known as artistic projecteering [khudozhestvennoe proektirovanie], developed at the Central Experimental Studio of the Soviet Union Artists between 1964 and 1991 (commonly referred to as Senezh studio). While some Soviet designers saw their practice as ‘applied science,’ Senezh studio was established to develop practical and theoretical tools for overcoming technocratic tendencies in Soviet design. The aim of the studio’s founders was to create a space for design that would not be subsumed by the constraints of technology or economics, or the bureaucracy of Soviet central planning. Senezh studio was tasked with creating new design methodologies that could be applied following the transition to communism to produce a material environment that would maximise the creative and collaborative potential of humankind. During the 1970s, however, the failures of the Soviet Thaw became apparent and designers at the studio worked on critical projects that highlighted how the government’s treatment of citizens, urban heritage and the environment were materially manifest in daily life. The projects produced at Senezh came to reflect the aspirations, hopes and anxieties of the Soviet cultural intelligentsia during and after the ‘Thaw’ of the 1960s. Based on archival research, extensive interviews and analysis of images in private collections – this dissertation engages Mannheim and Ricoeur’s theories of utopia to show how experimental design projects reflected changing relationships towards communism, ideology, history and the state.

Abstract:
Social Science scholars study how the New Left - the wave of leftist governments in Latin America since 1999 - redefines leftism in the Post-Cold War. Part of this redefinition is a new social pact between the Queer community and those Latin American governments. Chapter 1 traces the ideological itinerary of this new social agreement and establishes the methodology of the study. El lobo, el bosque y el hombre nuevo (The Wolf, the Forest and the New Man) by Senel Paz reformulated the relationship between the dissident subjects of the patriarchy and the leftist state in Cuban society of the 1990s. Chapter 2 highlights Paz's text for its separation from the Cold War narratives centered on the leftist armed insurgent movements. Chapter 3 studies how the film adaptation of Paz's work globalized the argument and structured it within the Post-Cold War. Chapter 4 analyzes the theatrical adaptations of Paz's work made in Latin American countries after 1999. Two are compared from countries with New Latin American Leftist governments, Venezuela and Argentina, with others made in non-Latin American countries, the United States and Spain. The critical reception of the two theatrical adaptations done in Latin America showed the argument as part of their reality, in contrast to the representations made in the United States and Spain. Chapter 5 analyzes the repercussions of Paz's text in popular culture through the reggaeton "Fresa y chocolate."

This dissertation aims at investigating the manifestations of imaginary in marketing communication processes. Specifically, it seeks to ascertain how the images of the eternal child and the wise old man (Puer and Senex) are presented in the media discourse. Relations were established between these images and communication processes associated with the creation and development of brands. For discussion of the images of Puer and Senex we reviewed the studies developed by Jung, von Franz and Hillman. The corpus consists of three advertising campaigns for companies of different fields, whose brands are recognized in the media discourse and the global imaginary: (1) Chanel; (2) Ray-Ban; and (3) Apple. The theoretical basis interweaves concepts from various areas of knowledge, particularly of media studies (Jenkins); communication, culture, image, imaginary (Durand, Maffesoli and Leão); creation processes in the media (Salles and Leão); advertising (Carrascoza and Covaleski); and analytical and archetypal psychology (Jung, von Franz and Hillman). To achieve the proposed objectives, the research is organized in three steps: (1) literature review; (2) implementation of three case studies (descriptive, interpretive and relational); and (3) analysis and interpretation of the corpus according to the creation method proposed by Leão. Analyzes have identified the presence of Puer and Senex as constituent elements of the marketing discourse and noted the importance of the imaginary media in the construction of brand identity
A presente dissertação de mestrado tem como objetivo principal investigar as manifestações do imaginário nos processos comunicacionais mercadológicos de empresas. Especificamente, busca-se verificar como as imagens da eterna criança e do velho sábio (Puer e Senex) são apresentadas nos discursos midiáticos. Foram estabelecidas relações entre essas imagens e os processos comunicacionais associados à criação e ao desenvolvimento de marcas. Para a discussão das imagens do Puer e Senex foi realizada uma revisão nos estudos desenvolvidos por Jung, von Franz e Hillman. O corpus engloba três campanhas publicitárias de empresas de diferentes campos de atuação, cujas marcas são reconhecidas nos discursos midiáticos e no imaginário global: (1) Chanel; (2) Ray-Ban; e (3) Apple. A base teórica entretece conceitos de várias áreas do conhecimento, especialmente dos estudos de mídia (Jenkins); comunicação, cultura, imagem, imaginário (Durand, Maffesoli e Leão); processos de criação nas mídias (Salles e Leão); publicidade (Carrascoza e Covaleski); e psicologia analítica e arquetípica (Jung, Von Franz e Hillman). Para atingir os objetivos propostos, a pesquisa está organizada em três etapas: (1) revisão bibliográfica; (2) realização de três estudos de caso (estudo descritivo, relacional e interpretativo); e (3) análise e interpretação do corpus segundo o método de criação proposto por Leão. As análises permitiram identificar a presença do Puer e Senex como elementos constituintes do discurso mercadológico e constatou-se a importância do imaginário midiático na construção da identidade da marca

AbstractIn view of the particularity of micro expression, there are some problems, such as resource waste or parameter redundancy in micro expression training and recognition by using large convolutional neural network model alone. Therefore, a method of using lightweight model to recognize micro expression is proposed, which aims to reduce the size of model space and the number of parameters, and improve the accuracy at the same time. This method uses mini-Xception as the framework and Non-Local Net and SeNet as parallel auxiliary feature extractors to enhance feature extraction. Finally, the simulation experiments are carried out on the two public data sets of fer2013 and CK+. After a certain training cycle, the accuracy can reach 74.5% and 97.8% respectively, which slightly exceeds the commonly used classical models. It is proved that the improved lightweight model has higher accuracy, lower parameters and model size than the large convolution network model.
