Abstract:
The relevance of the article is determined by the uncertainty of the terms «self-realization» and «professional self-realization» used in modern pedagogical research. It is proved that the term «professional self-realization» is applicable to the higher education system, since, according to the Federal State Educational Standard, students must master both general and professional skills. In addition, the person’s professional development is continuous. The article analyzes and substantiates the content of the term «professional self-realization of students» in pedagogy. The terms «self-realization», «professional self-realization», «pre-professional self-realization», «pre-professional self-realization» are defined; the features of their use in scientific literature are analyzed. It is proposed to use the generic concept of «professional self-realization» in relation to school, college or university stages. Professional self-realization is presented as a long and multidimensional process involving the formation, self-determination and personal development within a profession, starting from the first courses of study at a university. The content and difference of professional self-realization at the university and at the enterprise are described. Examples of multidimensional cooperation and joint educational programs with enterprises are given.

Abstract:
Spinoza and Kant are considered to be polar opposites with respect to ethics. The radical difference between them is supposed to consist in Spinoza’s ethical egoism, or interest-based Strebensethik, and Kant’s duty-cantered, deontological Sollensethik. I challenge this opposition and argue that both in Kant and Spinoza we deal with a notion of the self’s realization that is “interest”-based and therefore does not involve self-sacrifice. I show, on the one hand, that the streben in Spinoza’s Strebensethik consists in realising one’s essentially human interest, which resides in ethical-rational action, and, on the other hand, that sollen in Kant’s Sollensethik is in fact a streben of the Kantian “proper self” (eigentliches Selbst) after the realization of its ethical-rational interest.

Abstract:
Background: It is obvious from literature within the nursing discipline that nursing is related to moral or moral–philosophical related ideas which are other-oriented. The socio-cultural process of change in modern society implies that more self-oriented ideas have been found to be significant. Aim: The overall aim of this article is to highlight self-oriented moral or moral–philosophical related ideas as an important part of the nursing discipline. This is achieved by (a) exploring self-realization as a significant self-oriented moral or moral–philosophical related idea based on a philosophical anthropological perspective, (b) demonstrating how moral or moral–philosophical related ideas are expressed by nurses, (c) discussing the relevance of self-realization for the nursing discipline, and (d) pointing out possible consequences for the future development of the discipline of nursing. Research design: This theoretical study draws empirical examples from interviews. Participants and research context: Data consisted of interviews with 13 nurses with varying work experience within the primary and secondary somatic and psychiatric health service, from inside as well as outside institutions. Ethical considerations: The empirical study was approved by the Norwegian Social Science Data Services. Information was given and consent was obtained from the study participants. Findings: Findings are presented in two themes: (a) other-oriented ideas and (b) self-oriented ideas. More concretely, the findings show that nurses hope to make life as good as possible for the patient and they have a wish to improve themselves as human beings, to become better persons. Discussion: The relevance of self-realization for the nursing discipline is discussed along two lines, first, by connecting nurses’ self-understanding to a horizon of identity and second, by considering what self-realization could offer. Conclusion: It is of ultimate concern for the nursing discipline to highlight self-realization connected to the positive view of freedom understood as an exercise-concept. Further identifying and articulating the contribution of self-realization to nurses and nursing practice is of particular importance.

This literature review delves into the symbolic aspects associated with snowman. The study examines the symbolism connected to both the process of constructing snowman and the eventual melting of snow. Furthermore, it explores how snowman can be seen as representations of life's patterns and natural processes. Particularly, the analysis scrutinizes snowman as integrative symbols within a broader dramatic context. The research also reveals how the cyclical processes of nature parallel the concept of individualization, leading to self-understanding and Self-realization. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, this study investigates the symbolism of snowman, shedding light on their relevance in enhancing our understanding of human nature.

Abstract:
In the article, the author reveals the category of psychological safety of the individual in the scientific literature. It was established that there is still no unified point of view regarding the concept of psychological safety and all its prerequisites. Scientists interpret this concept as a dynamic, integral and complex phenomenon, a feeling, experience or state of protection from internal and external dangers, controllability of life events, self-confidence, the ability to maintain balance and resistance to threats, satisfaction with life and basic personal needs, inner peace and a favorable environment for development in the future and its self-realization. The author claims that the main signs of psychological security of an individual are a sense of security and psychological well-being, satisfaction with one's life, confidence in the future, in the possibility of self-realization and self-development, faith in oneself, in one's ability to cope with difficulties in life, relative predictability of changes in the external environment and society. The article reveals three factors that determine personal safety, in particular, the security factor, the environmental factor, and the human factor. The levels of psychological safety and its structure were also analyzed.

Abstract:
Self-realization is an important factor of successful social adaptation, especially in the early stages of a professional career in the dynamic conditions of the modern economy and society. The purpose of this study was to assess the general level of self-realization of students in socionomic and bionomic professions. It also performed comparative analysis (previously insufficiently represented in the empirical literature) of subjective perception of self-realization, depending on the length of professional training and the level of emotional intelligence. The subjects were students of the Southern Federal University, 109 representatives of socionomic and 75 of bionomic professions. The respondents completed a multidimensional self-realization questionnaire (S.I.Kudinov) and the test of emotional intelligence (EmIn, by D.V.Lucin).The study found significant differences between the representatives of the two professional types as in their subjective assessment of success of three types of self-realization, as in the direction and relative contribution to the subjective sense of self-realization of the two factors under consideration: duration of professional training and the level of emotional intelligence.Emotional intelligence was a significant predictor of all types of self-realization, compensating for the negative influence of duration of training in bionomic professions and enhancing its positive effect in socionomic professions. The authors emphasize the importance of developing and using specialized innovative programs for effective training of emotional intelligence as one of the key components in the work of practical psychologists with young people in the early stages of professional training and career.

LAVROVA, Larisa, Viktoriya SAVCHENKO, and Natalia HIRLINA. "SELF-ACTUALIZATION AND SELF-REALIZATION AS EDUCATIONAL PRIORITIES OF THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL." Abstract:
The article analyzes the content of the terms self-actualization and self-realization in the context of the goalsetting process of the New Ukrainian School. It is shown that the identification of the terms self-actualization and selfrealization, which is often carried out in scientific works and directive documents, is methodologically unjustified and harmful to the practice of educational reforms. The prerequisites for a scientifically based delimitation of the content of both terms are defined. The main approaches to distinguishing the concepts of self-actualization and self-realization in scientific literature are summarized. It is appropriate to include the interpretation of the concepts of self-actualization and self-realization as a component of each other, demarcation as cognitive and activity phenomena, separation based on the dichotomy of ideal and real, and the use of philosophical categories of content and form. The methodological and practical expediency of using the concepts of human potential and the human factor to substantiate the specificity of the concepts of self-actualization and self-realization is shown. It is concluded that self-actualization reproduces the ancestral (spiritual) essence of a person in his individual being, therefore it contains a humanistic and sociocentric ideal in the form of guidelines for self-development, actualizing the future through the deployment of a person’s self-development potential. Within the process of self-actualization, the attitude to constant self-improvement necessary for modern education is provided as a search for oneself, coordination of one’s own competencies, values, meaningful life priorities with the needs of society and universal human values. Self-actualization within the priorities of the New Ukrainian School should be considered as the main goal, which ensures the self-development of the individual and is an integral goal of educational activity. In turn, self-realization reflects the pragmatic-competent dimension of educational activity, orients education and a person to the development of one’s own skills, knowledge, talents and their use in real life to ensure success and self-affirmation in the personal and professional sphere. Within the process of self-realization, the formation of a personality is also carried out, but mainly of a pragmatic nature - as the realization of one’s own plans and desires regarding the profession, social status, and individual achievements. Therefore, the global strategy of the New Ukrainian School should be oriented towards subordinating the goals of self-realization to more general tasks of self-actualization.

Abstract:
The research is relevant because there are not enough studies investigating the potential of cadet institutions’ learning environment regarding its impact on pupils’ self-realization. The purpose of the research is to study a set of conditions of the learning environment of a cadet boarding school that shape pupils’ self-realization. Hypothesis: successful self-realization of cadets at a boarding school depends on three factors: modeling of the learning environment (it should include theoretical and methodological justification, identification of resources and conditions for successful self-realization of cadets), determination of criteria, indicators and diagnostic tools, and development and testing of extracurricular activities, additional education programs, innovative technologies, methods, forms and socio-cultural practices. The study is designed to last three years (2021–2024). Methods: theoretical analysis of scientific literature; analysis and synthesis of teachers’ experience in cadet boarding schools; modeling of the learning environment of a cadet boarding school. The theoretical model includes such components of the learning environment of a cadet boarding school as conceptual, resource-environmental, motivational-value, contentactivity and evaluative-effective. Participation in projects is considered to be a leading activity that provides cadets with opportunities for self-realization. To study self-realization, the authors’ questionnaire “The study of self-realization of cadets in the learning environment of a cadet boarding school” was developed (the authors are E. V. Kamaeva, L. P. Shustova, N. A. Lobankova). This questionnaire diagnoses pupils’ satisfaction with the conditions of the learning environment in a cadet boarding school in terms of their self-realization in various activities. Results: the authors have carried out a theoretical analysis of the problem of how to create a learning environment in cadet institutions; the authors have also identified the resources and conditions for successful self-realization of pupils at a cadet boarding school; additionally, the authors have determined the criteria and indicators to monitor the effectiveness of this process as well as the directions and content of cadet self-realization activities. Main conclusions: modeling the learning environment of a cadet boarding school and testing it in practice will contribute to the successful development of the processes of personal and professional self-determination of cadets and their self-realization in various types of socially useful activities. The educational-methodical and scientific-methodical support of the process of self-realization of pupils at a cadet boarding school developed on the basis of the pedagogical model can be used to create the learning environment in cadet institutions of the Ulyanovsk region and Russia.

Abstract:
Purpose: This paper analyzes the development of the concept of subsidiarity, its relationship with management theories and the implementation of the principle of subsidiarity in the context of local self-government in Poland and Lithuania by conducting comparative research. Design/ methodology/ approach: The research was conducted based on methods of desk research of scientific literature, analysis of documents and their content from the Lithuanian and Polish parliaments’ commissions and using comparative approach methods. Findings: The research reveals the essential aspects of the concept of subsidiarity and the extent to which this principle is relevant in the work of the Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and Self-Government and Regional Policy Commission of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in shaping the policy of self-government. The study demonstrates that subsidiarity principles are used in practice in a very incoherent way regarding public service regulations. Practical implications: The analysis is relevant, as an implementation of public policy in Lithuania and Poland increasingly calls for the integration of values into politics, which cannot be done without relying on certain principles. Research limitations: The generalizability of the results is limited by the number of parliamentary terms that have been taken into consideration. Originality/ value: The originality of this paper lies within the context in which this study took place—an international comparison of Lithuanian and Polish concepts that is rarely taken into consideration in the scientific literature.

Abstract:
The problems of professional self-realization of social workers are not sufficiently studied in modern pedagogical discourse. In the context of the stated problem, the focus of scientific analysis is aimed at identifying possible conditions for professional self-realization of social workers. In addition, specifying the necessary conditions, researchers focus on the fact that in the scientific literature they are designated as certain circumstances that contribute to the formation or development of a phenomenon or process. Our study provides a concise compilation of the results of theoretical and applied research and demonstrates the need not only to involve social workers in effective professional activity, but also to create scientifically sound conditions for their professional self-realization, which allowed us to focus on factors determining these conditions and methodological components, allowing to implement the identified conditions. In order to objectify the results of a theoretical study, the method of expert evaluation was applied to the obtained data. The expert group consisted of lecturers of the Kuban State University and lecturers of the Adyghe State University in the amount of eighteen people.

Abstract:
In the article the author conducts a theoretical analysis of the scientific literature on the definition of self-realization of a young person, reveals its structure, shows the areas where it works. And also shows the place of self-education in the structure of self-realization of the individual.Purpose of the article is to reveal the essence of readiness for self-education in the structure of self-realization of a young person.Methods. To achieve our goal, we used the following research methods: analysis, synthesis of theories of self-actualization and readiness for self-education, structuring scientific and psychological sources of information, which allowed to generalize and systematize the views of scientists on the research.Results. The author argues that the concept of self-realization in modern psychological science is under development, that is, there is still no generally accepted definition of this term. The most commonly used definition is the realization of the possibilities of self development through effort, co-creation, cooperation with other people, society and the world at large. The author argues that the features of personal self-realization are influenced by external and internal factors that hinder and contribute to the factors of self-realization, because each person by nature has a huge potential, which in the process of human life is realized under external influences. The degree of capacity development also depends on personal factors, external environmental conditions and their interaction with each other. He states that the mechanism of self-realization is launched in the case when the individual reaches the appropriate level of development. Orientation is based on self-determination and self-knowledge of the individual. Personal self-realization is individually special, manifested in the components of its structure and in quantitative indicators. There are different levels and types of self-realization, the highest of which meets the criteria of usefulness and satisfaction of self-realization for the person as a whole and for the environment.Conclusions. It was found that the readiness for self-education lies in the plane of additional areas of self-realization on a par with social interaction, social activity, hobbies, etc. Since self-education is motivated by intrinsic motivational factors of self-improvement and requires the use of special means of finding and mastering social experience, the author concludes that the readiness for self-education should be developed at student age, as during this period a person is able to overcome obstacles. her intellect is the basis for choosing the means and forms of active self-educational activity. Thus, the readiness for self-education has every chance to become a stable personal characteristic. Readiness for self-education is a system consisting of the following components: skill, efficiency, awareness, awareness and is represented by the unity of moral and volitional, cognitive and motivational components. The study of those components and individual aspects of self-education is the main requirement for their knowledge in the relationship and unity.Key words: self-realization, self-education, readiness for self-education, self-improvement, professional development, competitiveness.

Abstract:
Amidst the existential crisis in contemporary society, young individuals worldwide find themselves susceptible to self-inflicted harm or even self-destruction in response to their psychological ruptures and injuries, while lacking the requisite self-awareness and the patience to persevere on the journey of self-understanding. In this article, we draw upon Rosenblatt’s (1995) notion of Literature as Exploration to propound a text-to-self pedagogical approach to reading Haruki Murakami and Can Xue and to teaching contemporary existentialist literature. Comprising three strategies, namely The Art World in My Eyes, The Mind Film, and The Literary Conversation, this approach encourages students to engage deeply with the portrayal of death in the writers’ flagship novels that view death as an unwavering companion to young individuals’ life journey and growth. Based on Rosenblatt (1995), the three strategies, and our survey-based analysis of 2,000 Vietnamese high school students’ existential perceptions, we propose a model for literature instruction through promoting students’ transition from literary interpretations to self-discovery and self-realization of death associated with the existential crisis. This four-stage model, we expect, will get students poised to reconcile with their lost, solitary, and vulnerable ego, actively befriend their ‘inner child’, and develop into individuals with healed hearts and positive worldviews.

Abstract:
The author of the article, based on the method of imagological analysis, discusses the competing scenarios of a contemporary person’s existence – to have and to be, which emerge in their especially relevant forms in the contemporary prose by Lithuanian and Latvian emigrants. The prevailing economic causes of emigration determine the predominance of having in the contemporary emigration literature. Consumption as an impetus for happiness is more typical of former societies of lack, who do not yet understand the imagological nature of such happiness – the illusiveness of possessing. In the social structure of the host countries, Lithuanian and Latvian emigrants are usually the disadvantaged class, and therefore their desire to flaunt externally, to demonstrate their superiority by externals, is eminently obvious. They strengthen their symbolic power and self-realization by displaying themselves wearing demonstrative emblems in the form of expensive items, cars, and bright makeup. The article identifies other contemporary changes of values that have emerged in the literature written by emigrants: the shredded concept of freedom, loss of dignity and self-worth for the sake of money, and imperatives of bondage (dog imagotopics). The tendencies of such behavior (distorted conception of power, dominance, prestige, dignity, and freedom) unveil the general common problems of post-Soviet societies, revealing the erosion of existence, the distorted values, and sometimes the reverse of these two social forms, when possessing finds itself in the place of being. The new egoistical ideals of freedom, which contemporary emigrants cling to, testify to endangered social thinking, the weakening of the national mentality, and the entrenching self-centeredness.The model of being, which is alternative to having, is less frequent in the narratives of emigration, and usually manifests itself as a companion of academic emigration. The paradigm of being focuses on cultural rather than material or physical property, as well as on active self-realization and inner personal development.

Abstract:
The research focused on archetypal elements in the Disney film Cruella. The goal was to see how Estella's personality reflected Jung's archetype theory. Carl Gustav Jung identified the major archetypes, which are the result of shared ancestral experiences that can be found in art, literature, and religion but are not readily evident to the naked eye. Archetypes are inherited, universal patterns of people, actions, or personalities that have an impact on human behaviour. Watching the movie, reading the movie's transcription, selecting quotes, studying cinematographic elements, identifying the data based on the study's theme, and classifying the data to point out the issues of Jung's archetype in the movie were all used to assemble the data. According to the findings, Jung's archetypes were depicted in the film. The results of the research revealed that the main character's speech and actions reflected Jung's archetypes. According to the discussion, Estella's mental growth is obtained from three aspects: her persona, shadow, and self-realization. Self-realization is attained through breaking free from the constraints of the persona, recognizing and accepting the shadow, and balancing the two sides. Despite being difficult and perhaps dangerous, those are critical stages on the way to mental and psychic developmen

This paper contends that the investigation of psychoanalysis of characters during the pandemic significant piece of artistic examination. The world has seen various plagues and pandemics at various times. The pandemics have presumably made a tremendous effect on the social, social, and monetary fields, getting a change in human existence. Journalists and writers from different countries and societies have answered the pandemics, planning the times that they have seen and remarking on their unsafe encounters. Numerous fundamental books are composed on the difficult stretches of sicknesses and pandemics in which in some cases even fifty percent of a country or a city is crushed. The current world is gigantically impacted by COVID-19, which is a lethal infection supposedly spreading from China. The infection is killing a large number of individuals consistently, contaminating millions and seriously endangering the entire world. The essayists and artists of the contemporary world are likewise composing superb fiction and verse, answering the emergency and looking for approaches to mending and making due. Drawing on the extraordinary works created by the effects of the pandemic in various seasons of history, the paper investigates how people make due in the midst of such pandemics, look for ways of mending themselves, and study writing during the pandemic. The main purpose of this paper is to momentarily explain and remark on how the characters experienced the situation of the pandemic called Agora Virus in Jack Hunt’s novel Phobia and Anxiety and how they struggled to survive during the worse situation and how they realised themselves during the crisis. By the end, every one realised who they are and what they mean to society.

In Ferrante’s Story of a New Name, the protagonist’s journey to self-knowledge and self-realization is mapped through a farewell trip to Naples before she begins her studies in Pisa . As the centerpiece and background around and against which Elena’s accomplishments, failures, and societal pressures revolve, Naples emerges as a mosaic of energy and lethargy, unbreakable traditions and negligible innovations. While these elements mirror the protagonist’s powerlessness in changing the “norms” to which she is expected to adhere, they also function as her spur to a steady shift toward self-understanding. In this article, I analyze the ways in which Ferrante’s use of the beauty and lure, corrosiveness and lethality of Naples parallel her discourse on the protagonist’s search for self-understanding, a process that will ultimately enable Elena, the protagonist, to find self-realization.

Abstract:
The purpose of the research described in the article is to consider the values and imperatives that underlie the formation of the information culture of preschool children. The research methods were the study and analysis of psychological, pedagogical and philosophical literature, forecasting and reflection. Based on the results of the study, the concept of antifragile education was proposed, its methodological basis, principles and rules were determined. The practical significance of the results obtained lies in determining the components of the formation of the value basis of the preschool information culture preconditions: cognitive (the process of cognition of adequate actions in the digital space in the process of self-realization; the ability to select criteria for ranking information; awareness in the field of digital space threats that contradict imperatives and impede self-realization), behavioral with sufficient emotional and volitional reinforcement (to plan and perform a conscious system of actions), motivational and value (a conscious system of actions for self-realization in accordance with imperatives). The study revealed that the issue of personal self-identification in the redundant digital space has not been sufficiently studied. It is necessary to introduce the principles of antifragile education and continue the awareness and development of the components of the formation of the value basis of the preconditions of the information culture of preschoolers. The concept of antifragile education can form the basis of the work of teachers, starting from the level of preschool education, and the spiritual and moral values that form the basis of the concept can be very important for parents of preschoolers. For the first time, a concept is proposed that is designed to form and maintain imperatives in children, allowing for self-identification and spiritual and moral self-realization in the context of the formation of information culture of preschoolers. As the conclusions, the use of digital technologies in education was noted, and at the same time the issue of introducing the principles of antifragile education for the spiritual and creative self-realization of the individual in the new global international digital space of human life is being actualized.

Abstract:
Introduction and problem statement. The article combines scientific and pedagogical ideas on the success situation as a way to organize the creative activity of the teacher's personality and a form of his professional self-realization. Nowadays, self-realization as a process of revealing intentions and talents of an individual takes place in conditions of fierce competition and high demands of business, labor market. Therefore, besides the main professional profile, the teacher needs to master many related professional and personal competencies, hard and soft skills, correlating desires, goals and opportunities. Methodology. As the scientific literature analysis result, the author deduces three meaningful interpretations of success as: 1) an activity characteristics; 2) an experience of joy; 3) a motive; and does not reduce it to the attributes of material prosperity and other quantitative indicators. Here, success is a prerequisite for personal development and creative self-realization. Based on the above, the success situation is stated as the leading condition for creative self-realization. Methods. The paper presents the author's classification of success situations by types of joy in educational and pedagogical activity. At teaching creative professions, the success situation can be developed in a set of techniques: removing clamps (through exercises to restore breathing); exercises for gradually increasing difficulties; accounting the physical condition and emotional well-being of a dancer/actor; evaluating not the result, but the physical effort and emotional costs to achieve a successful result; optimistic attitude for the future. Results. The article emphasizes that the success achievement contains both the external manifestations of social prestige and material wealth, and the individual internal reserves. The study shows that success, in addition to the activity result and its evaluation, contains a motive, meaning, purpose and means to achieve it; which are accompanied with feelings of joy by those who study, and pedagogical techniques to create a situation of success serve as the basis for the teacher professional competence and creative self-realization.

Abstract:
Self-forgiveness (letting go of the feelings of victimization, resentment, and vengeance) is possibly shaped in its nature and extent by self-esteem and self-compassion, through various mechanisms. The latter two represent well-known affirmative self-resources with significant implications for life outcomes in individualistic and collectivistic cultures. However, the literature linking self-forgiveness and self-esteem is limited, and whether self-compassion mediates this relationship is not known. The present study addressed this gap by examining the mediating role of Positive and Negative Self-compassion (PSC NSC, respectively) in the relationship between Self-esteem and Self-forgiveness. Employing convenience sampling, 144 males (Mean age = 22.10 years, SD = 1.66 years) and 124 females (Mean age = 21.98 years, SD = 1.90 years) participants were chosen. Correlation and regression analyses along with the path analytic method were used to analyze the data. Findings revealed that both Self-esteem and PSC significantly and positively correlated with the dimensions of self-forgiveness (except Guilt). NSC correlated positively with self-esteem but negatively with PSC. NSC significantly and negatively correlated with some self-forgiveness dimensions like Realization and Reparation, and Attribution but positively with the Guilt dimension. Both PSC and NSC significantly mediated the relationships among Self-esteem, Realization and Reparation, Guilt, and Attribution. Findings suggest the association between self-esteem and self-forgiveness could be explained by elevated PSC and reduced NSC, highlighting the coexistence and simultaneous functioning of both self-esteem and self-compassion in a collectivist culture like India, with more pronounced effects of the latter. Future studies should verify these preliminary correlational findings using diverse cross-cultural samples and methodology.

Abstract:
The teachings of Eihei Dōgen Zenji (1200–1253) emphasize a non-instrumental orientation to zazen as “practice-realization”, which might be described as a single movement of purposeful action and actualization of aims. Yet the question remains, if zazen is not in some sense a set of clearly defined steps toward specific ends, exactly how are its benefits manifested, and why would Dōgen place such an elusive approach at the centre of practice? In the following, I will discuss how Dōgen’s conception of practice does not necessarily function as a prescriptive methodology leading to specified results, but might better be described as an orientation to everyday experience that facilitates a comprehensive integration of physical and perceptual interactions within shared environments. Any sense of the utility or benefit of zazen is inseparable from reference to these relations within specific contexts of practice. Exploring close parallels between Dōgen’s conception of universal self (jiko) and gestalt theory, particularly as it is referenced in ecophilosophy and sociomaterial practices literature, suggests ontological and ethical implications of “practice-realization” from contemporary secular perspectives.

Adolescents are in the critical period of rapid physical and mental growth, fulfillment of academic tasks, realization of self-worth, and the important moment of self-awareness awakening. The family environment for adolescents' learning and life has a non-negligible impact. This paper adopts the research method of literature review and collects more than 40 related Chinese and foreign literatures, aiming to further explore the direct and indirect relationship between parenting styles and adolescents' academic performance, and give corresponding suggestions. This paper is divided into four parts, the first part of parenting styles includes the definition and characterization of parenting styles, and the comparison of parenting styles under different cultural and racial differences. The second part of the direct relationship extracts the mainstream views on the direct relationship between parenting styles and adolescents' academic performance from the literature from different aspects, including different academic disciplines, different races, and parents, and so on. The third part of the indirect relationship is mainly discussed through two mediating roles of self-efficacy and self-concept, self-efficacy including the definition and expression as well as the characteristic dimensions, and self-concept including the definition and its influence as a mediator. The fourth part of the conclusion gives the following suggestions: increasing the proportion of authoritative parenting, giving positive emotional support to children to enhance their self-efficacy in learning, providing guidance to help children recognize themselves and establishing a correct self-concept at an early stage.

Abstract:
The three-week uprising in Egypt that ended with the removal of Husni Mubarak on February 11 happened to coincide with the section of my spring course syllabus on the Egyptian novel from Najib Mahfuz to Ahmed Alaidy. As was the case for many of my colleagues and their students, the rapid and awe-inspiring events unfolding daily before us pushed purely academic concerns to the margins of class discussion. This tidal wave of revolutionary politics erupting into the classroom forced me to the realization that my larger syllabus was not simply some neutral or systematic survey of half a century's worth of Arabic literature. I began to think about the largely invisible dystopic intellectual and historical paradigms through which modern Arabic literature is often framed, at least in the United States. The nahḍa/naksa narrative, which compelled many of us to read Arab cultural history of the 20th century as a story of brief “awakening” followed by irredeemable decline and corruption, is clearly no longer tenable in the wake of February 11. This same narrative underpinned the highly self-conscious postmodernism that began to emerge in Egypt in the 1990s and that reached its apogee a couple of decades later at the end of the 2000s, a postmodernism that was celebrated (though by no means universally) as the true beginning of literary modernity and the emancipation of the subject from the dead weight of a past ideological age.

The Outsider is an analysis and the study of man and his existence where the search for truth and self-realization becomes the highest ideals that he can ever achieve. The meaning of life and the search for truth can be depicted in Colin Wilson’s analysis of his theory The Outsider. Colin Wilson’s The Outsider is a philosophical study of the meaning of human existence and the search for truth and identity. This paper attempts to study Colin Wilson’s The Outsider in light of the fate of man in the modern world where the search for truth and identity has become a vague idea. Also, an attempt will be made to reveal the fate of man as Colin Wilson denotes in his philosophical work.

Abstract:
The article reveals the peculiarities of the educational environment of extracurricular education institutions and finds out their approaches to the process of social self-determination of adolescents. The analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature was carried out and the essence of the concepts "self-determination" and "social self-determination" was characterized. Adolescence is considered as one of the most difficult and responsible periods in a child's life. Having analyzed the concept of "social self-determination" in detail, attention is focused on that aspect of it that is important in working with adolescent children. The need for purposeful pedagogical support and encouragement of personal development of adolescents for their further social self-determination is substantiated. It is noted that the problem of social self-determination is related to the formation of an individual's worldview, his/her stable beliefs, principles, ideals, and values; the ability to observe and critically evaluate the phenomena of the surrounding reality; readiness to make a conscious choice; striving for self-affirmation and self-realization. The process of social self-determination of an individual involves its socialization, which in adolescence is aimed at highlighting and realizing one's own "self" (uniqueness) in the system of social relations. Peculiarities of extracurricular education as such, which is based on the principle of free choice, contributes to the creation of conditions for the development of individuality, productive activity and creativity, ensures satisfaction of individual needs in creative self-realization; the diversity of its activities and spheres of communication contributes to the acquisition of experience in social relations. The analysis of the results of the study on the influence of the activities of extracurricular education institutions on the process of social self-determination of adolescents was carried out. It was found that when attending an extracurricular education institution, pupils seek to gain new knowledge, spend their free time interestingly, acquire competences and decide on a future profession. By engaging in activities that are as close as possible to social realities, teenagers get the opportunity to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice, which contributes to their successful adaptation in extracurricular activities. It has been proven that extracurricular education contributes to the comprehensive development of the individual, forms favorable conditions for the creative activity of students, ensures their cooperation in the creative process and independent creativity, which forms the individual's desire for self-realization, contributes to the independent choice of his future life path and social self-determination.

Abstract:
Education is an effort to shape individuals with characters aligned with the prevailing societal values. Consistent with the thoughts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara, education prioritizes the interests of the learners. One of the efforts in character formation is through social-emotional learning. Social-emotional learning encompasses five components: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, social skills, and decision-making. This study examines how social-emotional learning is implemented in schools and its manifestation in learner-centric education. The method employed in this study is qualitative through literature review. Data collection techniques involve documentation by gathering various readings or literature. The results of this study indicate that there are already numerous effective implementations of social-emotional learning in schools. Additionally, the realization of social-emotional learning is an effort towards character formation in accordance with the needs of the learners.

BRUETON, JOANNE. "“Cherchez la fiction”: Stories of Self-Realization in Anne Garréta’s Pas un jour and Leïla Slimani’s Sexe et mensonges." Australian Journal of French Studies 58, no. 2 (July 1, 2021): 164–77. http://dx.doi.org/10.3828/ajfs.2021.14.

Abstract:
Faced with the hermetic interiority of post-structuralist narratives, twenty-first-century French literature tends to turn outwards and explore sociohistorical realities as a fertile source of fiction. In this article, I compare two contemporary writers rarely paired together—Anne Garréta and Leïla Slimani—to consider the enduring importance of discursive paradigms in realizing a sense of self. Although Garréta’s mechanised autobiographical aesthetic in Pas un Jour seems to jar with Slimani’s ethnographic journalism in Sexe et mensonges, I argue that both use heuristic narratives to conduct a survey of female desire whose reality is only legible in literature. Intersecting with narrative theories formulated by Barthes, Jameson and Cixous, this article argues that Slimani and Garréta perform their lived sexual experience through a carefully manufactured textual machine that grants them freedom. Only through the straitjacket of a fictional system can the reader glean the reality of female subjectivities so long obscured by myth.

Abstract:
The article considers a problem of the arts interaction, which is a characteristic feature of German expressionism. It analyzes works of gifted expressionists, which are fulfilling themselves not only as writers, but as painters too and vice versa. All attention is paid to such figures of expressionism as Oscar Kokoschka, Franz Kafka, Alfred Kubin. The article argues that the power of talent of such artists is so great that self-realization in one of the arts is not enough for them, and therefore they actively use the opportunity to reveal the facets of their giftedness not only verbally, but also visually, alternately changing brushes to pen. Such a synthesis is quite productive because these works are enriched by narrative thematic motifs, genre varieties, a figurative vision of reality, compositional figures of the material organization, etc. It is proved that the expressionists did not follow the modernist concept “Art for the sake of art”, yet for them a human is with his fears, complexes and visions in the center. Thus, the main aim of an artist is using various artistic means to show a sacred inner world where in contrast to the real philistine life a spiritual unity and harmony do exist. In a combination of text, drawing or music, or, like Kokoschka’s light and paint, expressionists try to convey through multimedia the sensual and sacred that arises for them as the purpose of existence.

Abstract:
The modern stage of the development of psychological knowledge reveals new opportunities for a more complete consideration of the phenomenon of freedom in psychology, primarily by studying the spiritual dimension of consciousness. There are four layers of consciousness associated with the development of freedom: spiritual, value, reflexive, and existential. It is shown that most authors consider freedom mainly in the reflexive layer of consciousness, linking it with awareness, meaningfulness of life, self-management. There are fewer studies that affect the value layer of consciousness, where freedom is associated with the desire for self-realization, the choice of personal values and meanings; studies of the existential layer, where freedom is considered as a choice of opportunities in the space of culture, the space of social norms and rules. The article presents the approach of V.P. Zinchenko and G.V. Ozhiganova, who showed the importance of the spiritual layer of consciousness, its priority role in relation to the value, reflexive and existential layers. The spiritual layer of consciousness and the corresponding spiritual freedom are poorly studied in psychology, as are the types of freedom and its structural components. Freedom is understood by the author as a component of human consciousness, a product and result of the development of spiritual, value, reflexive and existential layers of consciousness, consisting in the conscious overcoming of external and internal obstacles in the course of life for the purpose of self-realization and spiritual self-improvement. Based on the theoretical analysis of the literature, the author's model of the structure of freedom as a component of human consciousness is proposed, which describes the structure of two types of freedom: external and internal. The appearance of freedom is determined to a greater extent by the existential, reflexive, value-based, to a lesser extent spiritual layers of consciousness, aimed at self-realization and self-actualization. Interior view of freedom is determined to a greater extent by the spiritual, value and reflexive, to a lesser extent by the existential layer of consciousness, aimed at spiritual self-improvement and personal growth. The theoretical model of the structure of freedom as a component of human consciousness proposed by the author can serve as the basis for the study of freedom in psychology.

Abstract:
This study probes the relationship between Iqbal’s concept of khudi and experiential learning during early childhood. This qualitative and exploratory study employs Colaizzi’s method for content analysis to extract hermeneutical interpretations and exegetically decipher the allegorical connotations from Iqbal’s Persian anthology of poems, Asrar-i-Khudi. The thematic deduction draws Iqbal’s ideas of the development of khudi in an environment of experiential learning. Iqbal’s ideas have also been extracted from his other works. Historical and contemporary literature related to child learning psychology and education is also reviewed. The study concludes that the creative and curious mind of every child continuously develops hypotheses and tests them through experiences. The main aim of education is the realization of a strong ‘Khudi’ through experiential learning to create self-awareness, and self-realization to unleash an individual’s potentials. It is recommended that early childhood education in Pakistan ensures individuality development through experiential learning by applying Iqbal’s educational thoughts. It is also recommended that further research is undertaken to explore the functional aspects of Iqbal’s concept of experiential learning approach to bring the desired change in the early childhood education system.
