Abstract:

It would be a truism among Anglo-Saxonists to say that we depend for our knowledge of a fair proportion of pre-Conquest literary and historical texts on the labours of scholars active in the sixteenth, seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. Among the many important texts which were casualties, for example, of the Cotton fire on 23 October 1731, and for which we now depend on early modern transcripts and printed editions, one thinks immediately of Asser's Life of King Alfred and of the poem on the battle of Maldon (in Cotton Otho A. xii), of manuscript G of the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (in Cotton Otho B. xi), and of Ealdorman Æthelweard's Chronicle (in Cotton Otho A. x). Should one choose to venture into the realm of Anglo-Saxon charters, the importance of antiquarian transcripts of manuscripts now lost becomes ever more apparent. The most spectacular addition to the corpus of charters made since the publication of Professor Sawyer's catalogue in 1968 arose from the examination of a sixteenth-century cartulary of Ilford Hospital preserved at Hatfield House, which proved to contain the texts of eleven pre-Conquest charters derived ultimately from the archives of Barking abbey in Essex; of course this manuscript is an ‘original’ cartulary, as opposed to an antiquarian transcript, but it serves here as a salutary reminder of the treasures which may lurk as yet unidentified in libraries and archives throughout the country. Other ‘discoveries’ include a seventeenth-century copy of a charter by which King Edgar granted an estate at Ballidon, in Derbyshire, to his thegn Æthelferth, Sir Henry Spelman's extracts from a lost cartulary of Abbotsbury abbey, and notes made by the jurist John Selden from a charter-roll formerly preserved in the archives of St Paul's Cathedral in London.

ZusammenfassungDie Hymenopterengiftallergie ist der häufigste Auslöser anaphylaktischer Reaktionen bei Erwachsenen und der zweithäufigste Auslöser bei Kindern nach den Nahrungsmitteln. In West- und Mitteleuropa sind Stiche der Faltenwespenarten Vespula vulgaris und Vespula germanica sowie der Honigbiene Apis mellifera die Hauptauslöser von Anaphylaxien. In Südeuropa, den USA sowie in tropischen und subtropischen Gebieten (v. a. Südamerika) sind Feldwespenarten (Polistes spp.) weit verbreitet und spielen dort als Auslöser von Stichanaphylaxien eine bedeutende Rolle.Dargestellt wird der außergewöhnliche Fall einer primären Feldwespengiftallergie bei einem 65-jährigen Patienten aus dem Rheingau. Da die Feldwespengift-Immuntherapie in Deutschland keine Zulassung hat, konnte diese unserem Patienten als kausale Therapie nicht angeboten werden. Durch die klimatischen Veränderungen könnte die Feldwespengiftallergie sowohl aktuell als auch zukünftig in Nord- und Westeuropa eine wichtige Rolle einnehmen.

Abstract:

Introduction: Selenium is a trace element whose importance for the functioning of the organism in health and disease is very intensively studied in modern research. This scientific evidence is constantly being supplemented, which requires monitoring and evaluation. Aim: The aim of this review paper is to systematize the results of relevant scientific research on the role of selenium in health preservation and promotion and the prevention of disease. Method: Available literature in English from the PubMed database was searched using the keywords "selenium"; "health"; "disease"; "toxicity"; "food"; "deficiency"; "cancer" and "diabetes mellitus". Results: Selenium is a microelement that manifests a powerful antioxidant effect within the enzyme phospholipid hydroperoxide glutathione peroxidase, while as a part of the enzyme deiodinase plays a role in the transformation of thyroxine into triiodothyronine. Brazilian nut is a food with an extremely high concentration of selenium, followed by tuna and oysters. Selenium deficiency in the body manifests as cardiomyopathy (Keshan disease) or osteoarthritis (Kashin-Beck's disease). Selenium poisoning is characterized by gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms, changes in the skin, on nails and garlic breath. Although a negative correlation has been observed between selenium concentration and the risk of carcinoma (breast, prostate, cervical, liver, gastric, thyroid, colorectal and bladder), studies have not shown so far a significant effect of selenium nutritional intake or supplementation in the prevention of cancer. Selenium concentrations are significantly lower in hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, obesity, autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto's disease, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerous colitis, Crohn's disease), AIDS, and COVID-19, compared to healthy people. On the other hand, excessive selenium intake can increase the risk of diabetes mellitus type 2. Conclusion: Selenium has a significant physiological role in preserving health, primarily as an antioxidant and in the functioning of the thyroid gland, while selenium deficiency can be manifested by cardiomyopathy and osteoarthritis. Low concentrations of selenium in the body may increase the risk of several diseases: cancer, autoimmune diseases, AIDS and COVID-19. On the other hand, excessively high doses of selenium may increase the risk of diabetes mellitus or even poisoning - selenosis.

ZusammenfassungDie ernsthafte, evidenzbasierte Auseinandersetzung mit dem Prozess des Alterns und dem Bemühen, zielgerichtet auf pathophysiologische Verläufe therapeutisch einzuwirken, wird heute vielfach mit der Veröffentlichung von López-Otín et al. aus dem Jahr 2013 3 in Zusammenhang gebracht. Bei den dort beschriebenen 9 Kennzeichen des Alterns spielt Selen eine bes. wichtige Rolle. Das essenzielle Spurenelement kann z. B. auf die Telomerlänge, die mitochondriale Dysfunktion und die Immunseneszenz einwirken. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist eine ausreichend hohe Versorgung mit Selen in der geeigneten chemischen Form für die Bekämpfung des „Inflammaging“, das wichtig für Alterungsprozesse ist. Selen erfüllt somit die Anforderungen an eine rationale Anti-Aging-Medizin sowohl in Bezug auf seine biochemischen Wirkmechanismen als auch im Hinblick auf die Arzneimittelsicherheit.

Während bei behandelten HIV-Infizierten opportunistische Erkrankungen nur noch selten gesehen werden, rücken altersbezogene Komorbiditäten mit vorzeitigem Auftreten in den Vordergrund. Als Ursache werden die HIV-Infektion selber, Nebenwirkungen der antiretroviralen Therapie, Begleiterkrankungen (z. B. chronische Hepatitis C Virus-Infektion) und erhöhte Prävalenz traditioneller Risikofaktoren (wie Nikotinkonsum) diskutiert. In der Langzeitbetreuung HIV-positiver Patienten ist die Rolle der Hausärzte sowie der Fachspezialisten von zunehmender Bedeutung.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to review Advertising in a Free Society – a defence of the advertising industry – by Ralph Harris and Arthur Seldon, and to evaluate its status as a justifiable forgotten classic of the marketing literature. Design/Methodology/Approach – Advertising in a Free Society is placed in historical context (the Cold War), summarised and reviewed. Findings – During the 1950s, as the UK experienced a period of affluence and growing consumerism, the advertising industry was again subject to the criticisms that had been levelled at it by influential scholars in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Against this context, Advertising in a Free Society deserves to be remembered as one of the earliest defences of advertising and remains highly relevant. Harris and Seldon were leading figures in the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), joining shortly after its inception, which became an influential group both in the UK and abroad, influencing policy on free markets. Originality/Value – Although Advertising in a Free Society attracted few citations (going out of print between its publication in 1959 and 2014 when it was republished by the IEA), and largely forgotten by marketing scholars, it provides a significant source for marketing historians interested in advertising criticism, the growth of the British advertising industry and the role of advertising in democratic societies. A reanalysis of the text situated in its historical context – the height of the Cold War – reveals that the text can be viewed as an artefact of the conflict, deploying the rhetoric of the period in defending the advertising industry and highlighting the positive role that advertising could make in free societies.

Effects of antibiotics usage in aquaculture on environment and human health has prompted the search for alternative products. Recently, the microelements in organic form have been used as alternative to antibiotics in aquaculture. Se is one of the microelements that have received heightened attention. Abstract:

In rolling Industries, cold rolls are chosen of low alloy steel heat treated to about 60 RC in 50 millimeter depth on surface. Troostite phase which happens in some cases in tempered martensite has lower fracture toughness, although its ductility is a little more. In rolling process, some technological problems seldom take place, and the roll might be locally heated accidentally. In cold rolling technology, this effect may cause a phase change in metallurgical structure on the surface of the cold work forged steel rolls, named Troostite. However, the rolls which subjected to this problem have no mechanical defect to be detected by NDT, but these kinds of affected rolls may be failed in working (rolling) by fracture, spalling or cracks. So Troostite is a harmful phase for rolls and causes lots of losses for rolling companies. The following paper is a practical industrial approach to show and follow thermal instability of roll surface and metallurgical change of the surface from sorbite to troostite by diffusion mechanism, due to any improper mill usage.

Purpose - Live streaming e-commerce continues to increase Chinese consumer enthusiasm for purchasing foreign products. The current research focus in the field of live streaming e-commerce is on exploring the impact of various factors on consumer purchase attitudes and intentions. This study aims to investigate the effects of seller reputation in traditional e-commerce and trust in streamers in live streaming e-commerce on consumer purchase intentions. Additionally, it aims to analyze how the country image of Korea moderates the effects of seller reputation and trust in streamers on purchase intentions. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study used the SmartPLS statistical software package to analyze a sample of 341 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to conduct path analysis and moderation effect analysis Findings - This study found that in live streaming e-commerce, seller reputation and trust in streamer significantly influence consumer purchase attitudes. Country image plays a moderating role in the relationship between seller reputation and attitude. However, country image does not moderate the relationship between trust in streamer and attitude. These findings contribute to our understanding of the factors that shape consumer attitudes, and illuminate the role of the country image as a moderator in e-commerce. Research Implications - This study has found that product country image plays a moderating role in the relationship between seller reputation and consumer purchase attitudes. It makes a theoretical contribution to existing e-commerce research, and explores the positive impact of product country image in cross-border e-commerce.

Penelitian ini akan membandingkan pre-test dan post-test Roll Depan dan Roll Belakang dengan Model Problem Based Learning siswa SMA Islam Kedungjati dengan total sampel sebanyak 20 siswa. ZusammenfassungNierenerkrankungen sind häufige Erkrankungen und Todesursachen beim Hund. Insbesondere für Glomerulopathien und akute Nierenschädigungen können Infektionserreger ursächlich verantwortlich sein. Zu den Infektionen, die in Mittel- und Südeuropa häufig mit der Entstehung von Immunkomplex-Glomerulonephritiden assoziiert und in Deutschland als Reisekrankheiten von Bedeutung sind, gehören Leishmaniose, Dirofilariose und Ehrlichiose. Selten verursachen in Deutschland Anaplasmose, Hepatozoonose, Borreliose und eine durch kleine Babesien versursachte Babesiose Immunkomplex-Glomerulonephritiden. Leptospirose, canine infektiöse Hepatitis und eine durch große Babesien verursachte Babesiose können für akute Nierenschädigungen durch tubulointerstitielle Nephritiden verantwortlich sein. Eine weiterführende Diagnostik zur Identifikation potenziell auslösender Infektionen bei Nierenerkrankungen des Hundes ist daher wichtig für die Prognose und Therapie der Patienten.

Abstract:

SummaryDie Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis ist eine Autoimmunerkrankung und die häufigste Ursache einer Schilddrüsenunterfunktion. Durch eine immunologische Fehlsteuerung entsteht eine chronische Entzündung der Schilddrüse, die das Schilddrüsengewebe partiell oder vollständig zerstört. Es ist bereits bekannt, dass Selen einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die Schilddrüsenfunktion hat. Deutlich weniger bekannt ist, dass auch andere Mikronährstoffe eine wesentliche Rolle spielen. Wir haben eine randomisierte, doppelblinde Pilotstudie an 100 Teilnehmer*innen mit einer Autoimmunthyreoiditis durchgeführt. Dabei verglichen wir die Effekte von Selen 200 µg (Gruppe A) mit denen der registrierten Nährstoffkombination HASHIDOR® (Gruppe B) auf den gesamten Schilddrüsenstoffwechsel über einen Zeitraum von sechs Monaten. Das primäre Ziel war die Veränderung der einzelnen Schilddrüsenparameter (TSH, fT4, fT3, ATPO, ATg) sowie der Nährstoffe Selen, Vitamin D3, Zink und Ferritin zu analysieren. Als sekundäres Ziel wurde die Auswirkung der Supplementierung auf den allgemeinen Gesundheitszustand mittels dem zertifizierten SF36-Gesundheitsfragebogen untersucht. Eine Subgruppenanalyse mit ATPO >300 U/ml (n=33) zeigte eine deutliche Reduktion der TPO-Antikörperkonzentration um 11,4% in der Gruppe B, während in Gruppe A eine Steigerung von 1,8% gemessen wurde (p=0,10). Bei TSH und den freien Schilddrüsenhormonspiegeln konnten wir im direkten Vergleich keine Unterschiede beobachten. Die Ausgangswerte von Selen verbesserten sich in Gruppe A um 26,6% gegenüber 6,4% in Gruppe B (p<0,01). Die Vitamin D3-Konzentration erhöhte sich in Gruppe B um 40,6% gegenüber 3,7% in Gruppe A (p<0,01). Der Zinkspiegel stieg in Gruppe B um 8,2%, während sich in Gruppe A der Wert um 1,1% verringerte (p=0,002). In Punkto Lebensqualität verbesserte sich in beiden Gruppen die körperliche Leistungsfähigkeit.Die Studie legt nahe, dass eine Supplementierung mit der registrierten Nährstoffkombination HASHIDOR® einerseits zu einer verbesserten Nährstoffversorgung führt und andererseits zu immunmodulierenden Effekten beiträgt. Die Zufuhr der ausgewählten Mikronährstoffe könnte bei Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis insbesondere bei einer hohen Aktivität nützlich sein, auch für diejenigen, die bereits Levothyroxin erhalten.

Abstract:

Seladin-1 (KIAA0018) gene is the seventh most highlyexpressed gene in the adult adrenal gland, along with genes coding for steroidogenic enzymes. The aim of the present study was to investigate the localization of the Seladin-1 protein in control and ACTH-treated rat adrenal glands and to verify whether Seladin-1 is involved in secretion. Immunofluorescence studies revealed that Seladin-1 was localized principally in the zona fasciculata, cytoplasm, and nucleus. Expression of Seladin-1 was increased by ACTH treatment, in vivo and in culture conditions. Subcellular fractionation offasciculata cells showed that Seladin-1 was mainly present in the nucleus, membrane, and cytoskeleton fractions and, to a lesser extent, in the cytosol. ACTH treatment decreased Seladin-1 expression in the cytosol, with a concomitant increase in the nuclear fraction. In the glomerulosa and fasciculata cells in culture, ACTH induced a relocalization of Seladin-1 into specific nuclear regions. This ACTH-induced relocalization was abrogated by the pre-treatment of cells with 75 nM U18666A (an inhibitor of Seladin-1). In addition, fasciculata cells exhibited an increase in the basal level of steroid secretion when cultured in the presence of U18666A (25 and 75 nM), although ACTH-induced secretion was decreased. In summary, the present study demonstrates that the protein expression of Seladin-1 is more abundant in fasciculata cells than in glomerulosa cells and that the ACTH treatment increases both expression and nuclear localization of the protein. Results also suggest that depending on its cellular localization, the Δ24-reductase activity of Seladin-1 may play a major role in steroid secretion in the adrenal gland.

Während in vielen Ansätzen zum aggressiven Verhalten Aspekte der perspektiven- und kontextspezifischen Wahrnehmung und Interpretation eine relativ unbestrittene Rolle spielen, fehlt eine entsprechende Analyse diskriminierenden Verhaltens. The presence of several rolls in cluster cold rolling mills makes on-line vibration monitoring and failure analysis difficult. The dynamic behaviour of rolls strongly depends on the rolling pressure in the roll bite. Strip vibration applies a dynamic component on the rolling force acting on the work roll and may excite the resonance of the mill stand. This problem motivates predicting the cluster mill dynamics by using a numerical model. It may help in planning the maintenance operation of rolls and bearings and in reducing the service costs. A complete dynamic analysis of the cluster mill layout has seldom been proposed in the literature. In this article, the authors investigate the dynamic behaviour of a Sendzimir mill. A numerical simulator developed in the Matlab/Simulink environment is used to distinguish the effects of chattering, rolls unbalance, motor dynamic irregularities, and bearing fault. Analytical approaches proposed to compute the dynamic component of the rolling force are used as an input to excite the rolls vibration in the cluster mill simulator. Numerical results are used to interpret some preliminary experimental measures performed on the operating Sendzimir mill. Some goals were achieved. This investigation allowed the distinguishing of the dynamic effects due to the rolls from those related to the motor and bearings fault. Critical parameters used in the numerical model were identified. To complete this study, a fully instrumented cold rolling mill has to be used in order to measure all the dynamic signals required to detect the relevant phenomena that have to be prevented.

Thromboembolische, kardiovaskuläre und zerebrovaskuläre Ereignisse sind altersabhängig und bei gesunden junge Frauen äußerst selten. Im Gegensatz zu reinen Gestagen-Präparaten erhöhen Ovulationshemmer (OH) das Risiko venöser Thrombosen, wobei der genetischen Prädisposition die entscheidende Rolle zukommt. Bei gesunden Nichtraucherinnen unter 35 Jahren ist das Risiko für Herzinfarkt und Schlaganfälle nicht erhöht. Bei der Entstehung kardiovaskulärer Erkrankungen spielen Risikofaktoren eine wichtige Rolle. Eine sorgfältige Eigen- und Familienanamnese ist vor jeder Verschreibung eines OH Pflicht. Sehr selten kann der Blutdruck unter OH ansteigen. Auch wenn die Inzidenz niedrig ist, muss bei allen bei Frauen unter OH regelmäßig der Blutdruck kontrolliert werden. Gewichtszunahmen unter OH sind entgegen einer weit verbreiteten Meinung selten und von der individuellen Disposition abhängig. Eine vermehrte Wasserretention kann durch einen kombinierten OH mit antimineralokortikoider Zusatzwirkung gebessert werden. Die bei niedrigdosierten oralen Kontrazeptiva beobachteten Veränderungen von Insulin und Blutzucker sind so gering, dass sie keine klinische Bedeutung besitzen. Durch OH wird die Inzidenz von Diabetes mellitus nicht erhöht. Nebennierenrinde- und Schilddrüsenfunktion werden durch OH nicht beeinflusst, es findet sich auch keine erhöhte Inzidenz von Prolaktinomen. OH sind bei Asthmatikerinnen nicht kontraindiziert. Bei zyklusabhängiger Verschlechterung des Krankheitsbildes kann sogar mit einer Besserung gerechnet werden. Augen und Gehör werden durch OH nicht verschlechtert. Bei Patientinnen mit Lupus erythematodes ohne Nierenbeteiligung, ohne hohe Antiphospholipid-Antikörper und mit einer stabilen oder inaktiven Erkrankung ist die Gabe von niedrig-dosierten OH vertretbar.

The Indonesian Air Force is the armed force responsible for the defense operations of the Republic of Indonesia in the air. Soewondo Air Force Base is part of the Indonesian Air Force Operational Command I based in Medan, North Sumatra, which has twelve disaster risk threats, namely earthquakes and tsunamis, extreme waves and abrasion, forest and land fires, floods, volcanoes, landslides, floods. Flashes, droughts, epidemics, and plagues. The Indonesian Air Force needs adequate logistical support to carry out disaster management tasks. Frequent disasters and areas of North Sumatra Province that are difficult to reach when disasters occur make it difficult for aid to be distributed. Thus, the role of the Indonesian Air Force is vital in assisting disaster management. The purpose of this study is to analyze logistical support, the use of logistics, and logistical support strategies in implementing disaster management at Soewondo Air Force Base in non-war military operations. This research uses qualitative method, data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and literature study. The study results show that the logistical support for Soewondo Air Base for Disaster Management is currently through the provision of aircraft used in sending aid, preparing personnel, using the airfield as a temporary hospital, and other logistical assistance such as setting up tents. Logistical support for disaster management in the Soewondo Air Base area still comes from the BPBD and the local Regional Government. This research has implications for improving logistical support strategies in implementing disaster management in the air operations area of Soewondo Air Base in the context of military operations other than war

Secara keseluruhan tingkat kesukaan produk dari hasil uji kesukaan menghasilkan nilai rata-rata 4,6 dengan kategori disukai. Spring Roll Tom Yum Tofu dapat direkomendasikan sebagai one dish meal sehat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi protein dan vitamin.

Ziel der onkoplastischen Chirurgie ist es, durch Verbindung von onkologisch sicherer Chirurgie und rekonstruktiven plastisch chirurgischen Techniken auch grössere Tumoren brusterhaltend operieren zu können. Durch innovative Techniken wird der ästhetische Outcome verbessert mit dem Ziel die Patientinnenzufriedenheit und Lebensqualität hoch zu halten, möglichst ohne deformierende Resultate als Folge der Brustkrebsbehandlung. Gemäss Patientinnenwunsch kann in der selben Operation die Gegenseite symmetrisierend angeglichen werden, ohne dass für die Patientinnen Kosten entstehen. Onkoplastik ist genauso sicher wie konventionelle brusterhaltende Chirurgie. Es gibt jedoch Hinweise für häufigere postoperative Komplikationen, am ehesten zurückzuführen auf anspruchsvollere Techniken und längere Operationszeit. Letztere führen jedoch nicht zu einer Verzögerung der adjuvanten Therapie. Um die vielfältigen neuen Techniken zu standardisieren, wurde Anfang 2017 in Basel ein sehr erfolgreiches internationales Expertentreffen abgehalten, dessen Resultate hier ebenfalls erläutert werden sollen.

Selain itu penelitian ini juga menggunakan tipe penelitian asosiatif kausal tipe explanatory research. Teknik sampling menggunakan metode purposive sampling yang berjumlah 35 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini, meliputi tes kemampuan roll ke depan dan membagikan angket percaya diri. Teknik analisis data dilakuakan uji perhitungan statistik yaitu, uji deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji korelasi dan uji regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh percaya diri terhadap kemampuan roll depan pada mahasiswa Prodi Penjaskesrek STKIP YPUP Makassar dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Besarnya nilai korelasi/hubungan (R) antara percaya diri dengan kemampuan roll depan yaitu sebesar 0,747, dengan koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,559, yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh percaya diri terhadap kemampuan roll depan adalah sebesar 55,9%.

Postappendektomieabszesse sind die häufigsten septischen Komplikationen nach einer Appendizitis perforata. Eine mögliche Ursache für solche Abszesse ist ein Fäkolith, der einerseits eine Appendizitis begünstigt und andererseits mit einem erhöhten Risiko für Komplikationen wie Perforation oder Abszessbildung einhergeht. Zwischen 1992 und 1998 wurden an unserer Klinik 554 Patienten wegen einer Appendizitis operiert. Bei vier Patienten im Alter zwischen 6 und 121/2 Jahren wurde anlässlich des Eingriffes wegen einer perforierten Appendizitis initial ein Fäkolith übersehen, welcher in einem Zeitraum von 14 Tagen bis 17 Monaten postoperativ zu einem intraabdominalen Abszess führte. Bei allen Patienten kam es nach einer Revisionslaparatomie mit Entfernung des Fäkolithen, Abszessdrainage und Antibiotikatherapie zur definitiven Heilung. Ein Fäkolith kann bei einer perforierten Appendizitis vor oder während der Appendektomie unbemerkt ins Abdomen gelangen und zu Komplikationen führen. Ein bei der Appendektomie unerkannter Fäkolith als Ursache für einen Postappendektomieabszess ist allerdings selten. Trotzdem muss bei Vorliegen eines Abszesses an einen übersehenen Fäkolith gedacht und mittels Abdomenübersichtsbild und Ultraschall spezifisch danach gesucht werden. Nur dessen Entfernung führt zu einer definitiven Heilung.

In bisherigen Untersuchungen solcher Beratungs- und Vermittlungsprozesse standen Migrant/-innen als Klient/-innen eher selten im Fokus und auch die Rolle von Ethnizität ist im Vergleich zur Klassenzugehörigkeit noch offen. Der Artikel greift diese Frage auf und bespricht daran beispielhaft den Einsatz eines triangulären Designs, das unterschiedliche Perspektiven und Interviewmethoden kombiniert. Die Analyse gibt deutliche Hinweise darauf, dass Ethnizität und damit verbundene Zuschreibungen durchaus eine wichtige Kategorie darstellt, die in der Untersuchung von Ungleichheiten Berücksichtigung finden muss.

Abstract:

Wave excited roll motion poses danger for moored offshore vessels such as Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) because they cannot divert to avoid bad weather. Furthermore, slack cargo tanks are almost always present in FPSOs by design. These pose an increased risk of roll instability due to the presence of free surfaces. The most common method of determining roll damping is roll decay tests, yet very few test have been performed with liquid cargo, and most liquid cargo experiments use tanks that span the entire width of the vessel; which is seldom the case for full scale FPSO vessels during normal operations. This paper presents a series of roll decay test carried out on a FPSO model with two two-row-prismatic tanks with different filling levels. To directly investigate the coupling between the liquid sloshing and the vessel motion, without modifying the damping, tests were performed at a constant draft. The equivalent linear roll damping coefficients consisting of linear, quadratic and cubic damping terms are analyzed for each loading condition using four established methods, the Quasi-linear method, Froude Energy method, Averaging method and the Perturbation method. The results show that the cubic damping term is paramount for FPSOs and at low filling levels, were the FPSO is more damped. Recommendations regarding the applicability of the methods, their accuracy and computational effort is given and the effect of the liquid motion on the vessel motion is discussed.

The study emphasizes the necessity to safeguard the absolute share (legitime portie) of heirs during the donation process, emphasizing the crucial role of immediate family members' (children's) approval. The research delves into cases where the absence of consent from immediate family members leads to potential disputes. It aims to elucidate the significance of including the consent of immediate family members, beyond the recipient, in donation deeds. Employing Normative research, the study focuses on the application of legal principles and positive norms through legal and case study approaches. The findings highlight the pivotal role of immediate family members, classified as Group I heirs in the ab-intestato inheritance system, in providing consent for parental donations to biological children. Involving children in the donation process ensures the protection of their rights as potential heirs, with preventive and repressive legal safeguards provided by legislation and the right to legal recourse. Donation deeds incorporating consent from immediate family members offer enhanced legal certainty compared to those lacking such consent. Penelitian ini menekankan kebutuhan untuk melindungi bagian mutlak (legitime portie) dari ahli waris selama proses pemberian hibah, dengan menyoroti peran krusial persetujuan anggota keluarga sekandung (anak-anak). Dalam masyarakat sering terjadi kasus di mana ketiadaan persetujuan dari anggota keluarga sekandung dapat menyebabkan potensi sengketa. Tujuannya adalah untuk menjelaskan pentingnya mencantumkan persetujuan anggota keluarga sekandung, selain penerima, dalam akta hibah. Dengan menggunakan penelitian normatif, penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan prinsip-prinsip hukum dan norma-norma positif melalui pendekatan undang-undang dan pendekatan studi kasus. Temuan penelitian menyoroti peran penting anggota keluarga sekandung, yang dikategorikan sebagai ahli waris Golongan I dalam sistem pewarisan ab-intestato, dalam memberikan persetujuan terhadap hibah orang tua kepada anak kandungnya. Melibatkan anak-anak dalam proses pemberian hibah memastikan perlindungan hak-hak mereka sebagai calon ahli waris, dengan perlindungan hukum preventif dan represif yang diberikan oleh undang-undang dan hak untuk menuntut. Akta hibah yang mencantumkan persetujuan dari anggota keluarga sekandung memberikan kepastian hukum yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang tidak mencantumkan persetujuan tersebut.

Latar Belakang: Preeklampsia merupakan masalah kesehatan pada ibu hamil yang masih sering menjadi perhatian karena kasusnya masih banyak terjadi dan ibu hamil cenderung mengabaikan kondisi tersebut. Selain itu, kurangnya pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang preeklamsia juga menjadi salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan masih tingginya kasus preeklamsia terutama di Wilayah PKM Puger Jember. Metode: Kegiatan penelitian ini merupakan suatu penelitian kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional, yaitu suatu penelitian yang dilakukan dalam satu waktu. Populasi dalam penelitin ini sebanyak 100 orang responden yaitu ibu hamil. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitan didapatkan bahwa kegiatan skrining ROT sebagian besar sudah dilakukan dengan baik, IMT sebagian besar normal dan kejadian preeklamsia sebagian kecil terjadi. Selain itu, juga didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan antara Skrining Pre Eklamsia (ROT), (IMT) dengan kejadian Pre Eklamsia di wilayah PKM Puger Jember. Kesimpulan: Preekelamsia merupakan kejadian yang masih sering terjadi pada ibu hamil sehingga perlu adanya suatu pemberian pengetahuan pada ibu hamil terkait dengan kejadian preeklamsia untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan ibu hamil.

Abstract:

The aerostatic bearings used in guide ways in ultra precision motion stages can provide both normal stiffness and roll stiffness, which are critical to the dynamic characteristics and control of systems. The normal stiffness has been widely investigated so far, but the roll one has seldom been studied. A new method for analyzing the roll stiffness is proposed, in which the aerostatic bearing is modeled as a set of distributed springs. The stiffness distribution is obtained by using the derivate of the pressure distribution with respect to the air gap. All the distributed springs are then integrated by using the presented transformation and it leads to an equivalent spatial spring which contains both the normal stiffness and the roll stiffness. A planar aerostatic bearing is taken as an example to illustrate the procedure of the calculation. The proposed method can be used to predict the vibration characteristics of various kinds of aerostatic bearings under working conditions.

Penelitian ini merupakan kontibusi terhadap perkembangan subtitusi bahan pengganti ragi komersial dalam pembuatan soft roll. Strawberry merupakan bahan alami yang dapat menggantikan ragi komersial dengan cara fermentasikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesukaan masyarakat terhadap soft roll yang menggunakan ragi alami yang berasal dari strawberry. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah experimental. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan t-test untuk mengetahui tinggat kesukaan masyarakat terhadap soft roll dari dari segi keseluruhan aspek, flavour, texture dan appearance. Dari hasil t-test untuk tingkat kesukaan, didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara soft roll pembanding dengan soft roll experimen dari segi keseluruhan aspek, flavour, texture dan appearance. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh penggunaan air fermentasi strawberry terhadap hasil uji kesukaan dari segi keseluruhan aspek, flavour, texture dan appearance. Soft roll pembanding dengan penggunaan ragi instan mempunyai tingkat kesukaan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan soft roll experimen dengan penggunaan air fermentasi strawberry dari segi flavor. Namun, soft roll experimen dengan penggunaan air fermentasi strawberry lebih disukai keseluruhan aspek, texture dan appearance jika dibandingkan dengan soft roll pembanding dengan penggunaan ragi instan. Selain itu penggunaan ragi alami dapat membuat roti lebih mudah dicerna namun memerlukan waktu fermentasi lebih lama.

Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EG) is a rare condition characterized by patchy eosinophilic inflammation of one or more layers of the gastrointestinal tract with no secondary causes of eosinophilia. EG is a treatable disease and, generally, patients show a positive response to steroid therapy. Sometimes the disease can present as acute abdomen, and appendicular involvement has seldom been described in the course of EG. In our case report we aimed to emphasize how useful gastrointestinal ultrasound is as a valuable tool for diagnosing and monitoring intestinal involvement during EG, avoiding invasive tests and unnecessary surgery.

Subklinisch infizierte Nagetiere und Nutztiere stellen ein Reservoir für den Erreger dar und verbreiten diesen in der Umwelt. Katzen erkranken selten an Leptospirose. Dennoch können sie sich, insbesondere durch die Jagd von infizierten Nagern, mit dem Erreger infizieren und diesen über den Urin ausscheiden. Somit könnte die Katze eine bedeutende Rolle in der Epidemiologie der Leptospiren einnehmen.
