Abstract:
Kinorhynchs rarely show a wide distribution pattern, due to their putatively low dispersal capabilities and/or limited sampling efforts. In this study, a new kinorhynch species is described,Echinoderespterussp. n., which shows a geographically and bathymetrically wide distribution, occurring on the Karasik Seamount and off the Svalbard Islands (Arctic Ocean), on the Sedlo Seamount (northeast Atlantic Ocean), and on the deep-sea floor off Crete and on the Anaximenes Seamount (Mediterranean Sea), at a depth range of 675–4,403 m. The new species is characterized by a combination of middorsal acicular spines on segments 4–8, laterodorsal tubes on segment 10, lateroventral tubes on segment 5, lateroventral acicular spines on segments 6–9, tufts of long hairs rising from slits in a laterodorsal position on segment 9, truncated tergal extensions on segment 11, and the absence of any type-2 gland cell outlet. The specimens belonging to the populations from the Arctic Ocean, the Sedlo Seamount, and the Mediterranean Sea show morphological variation in the thickness and length of the spines as well as in the presence/absence of ventromedial sensory spots on segment 7. The different populations are regarded as belonging to a single species because of their overlapping variable characters.

Abstract Valid publication of new names of fossil plant taxa published since 1 January 1996 requires a diagnosis or description in English, besides other requirements included in the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (Melbourne Code) adopted by the Eighteenth International Botanical Congress, Melbourne, Australia, July 2011 (McNeill et al. 2012). In order to validate names published from the late Eocene flora of the Staré Sedlo Formation, North Bohemia, diagnosed only in German (Knobloch et al. 1996), English translations are provided, including references to the type material and further relevant information.

Two new species of Echinoderes from the Eratosthenes Seamount and a deep-sea station near the Sedlo Seamount are described. Echinoderes multiporus sp. nov. from the Eratosthenes Seamount is characterized by a combination of the presence of middorsal acicular spines on segments 4, 6, and 8, ventrolateral tubes on segment 2, lateroventral tubes on segment 5, lateroventral acicular spines on segments 6–9, midlateral tubes on segment 10, and type-2 glandular cell outlets in subdorsal position on segment 2 and in laterodorsal position on segments 4–9. Echinoderes unispinosus sp. nov. from the deep-sea station differs from its congeners by the combination of middorsal acicular spine on segment 4, lateroventral acicular spines on segments 6 and 7, type-2 glandular cell outlets present in midlateral position on segment 1, in subdorsal, laterodorsal, sublateral, and ventrolateral position on segment 2, in lateral accessory position on segment 5, and in sublateral position on segment 8, and densely aligned pectinate fringe teeth of the primary pectinate fringes similar in width on segments 1–10. In addition, the morphological data of two undescribed species from the Anaximenes Seamount and a deep-sea station near the Sedlo Seamount are given. An undescribed species from the Anaximenes Seamount is morphologically similar to Echinoderes unispinosus sp. nov., but differs in the smaller trunk length, the presence of broader pectinate fringe teeth of the primary pectinate fringe on segment 1, and the absence of ventromedial sensory spots on segment 8. Another undescribed species from the deep-sea station differs from its congeners in the pattern of spines, tubes, and type-2 glandular cell outlets and length of middorsal and lateral terminal spines. New names are not given to both undescribed species in this study, because only one specimen is available for each species, and both of the specimens were damaged during the preparation.

Abstract:
Notabilizada por atuação positivadora ou negativadora, desde os primórdios do homem, a morte assumiu papel fundamental. Seus ritos notadamente refletiram a compreensão humana a seu respeito, ora intimizando, ora afastando seus expedientes das relações tecidas na sociedade. Desde a origem, a Filosofia sempre procurou descobrir as implicações da morte para a vida humana. Na literatura, o tema é uma constante, muitas vezes determinando seus caminhos, suas tragédias e as soluções narrativas encontradas. Tomando como subsídios teóricos os trabalhos de Phillippe Ariès, Édouard Glissant, Michel Foucault e sobretudo Maurice Blanchot, esta dissertação busca compreender a presença da morte, em suas diversas acepções, na narrativa do escritor baiano Adonias Filho. Para isso, focaliza sua obra Memórias de Lázaro, que compõe o perséquito dos mortos (Os servos da morte, Memórias de Lázaro e Corpo Vivo), do escritor itajuipano. A proposta é que seja feito cotejo da obra do escritor mencionado com as tendências contemporâneas de escrita narrativa e com os estudiosos citados, entendida a morte como aporte essencial para a operação narrativa.
Death, exceeding positive or negative acting, since the dawn of man, takes on a fundamental role. Its rites reflected remarkably the human understanding concerning death and its artifices, some times closer, some times further away from interlinked relations into society. Since its inception, Philosophy has always looked for discovering the implications of death towards human life. In literature, the theme is a constant, often determining its paths, its tragedies and narrative solutions found. Using as theoretical support the work of Philippe Ariès, Édouard Glissant, and above all Michel Foucault and Maurice Blanchot, this dissertation tries to understand the presence of death, in its various meanings, in the narrative of Adonias Filho. For this, his work focuses Memórias de Lázaro, which forms the trilogy of the deads (Os servos da morte, Memórias de Lázaro and Corpo Vivo), by the itajuipan writer. The proposal is to make a comparison of the mentioned writers works and his contemporary trends of the narrative writing with the mentioned scholars, being understood death as the essential input for the narrative operation.

Abstract:
Before drawing together composite elements from his works of novelistic art, as well as his life in writing, the intention of this thesis is to argue that Duiker's realism is an 'authentic' one. Furthermore, Duiker's 'commitment' as an authentic literary realist is to 'articulate' an oppositional world outlook that I am codifying as 'alter-native'. The alter-nativism is expressed not only by the 'interplay' of the 'lumpen' protagonists of the novels but by Duiker himself in the extra-generic marginalia to his short literary career. In order to give 'value' to the contention of this thesis as a whole I will utilize a number of theorists working critically with the relation between language and consciousness, and therefore, as I argue, the 'zero point' of social being.

Corrobora, por meio de uma investigação exploratória e teórica, para o estatuto social do selo postal. Situa e destaca o seu lugar enquanto objeto de pesquisa no campo da Comunicação. Utiliza pressupostos teóricos, oriundos de estudos sobre a Linguagem, o Discurso e a Imagem, com o intuito de identificar e analisar o que permite caracterizá-lo um tipo de mídia ou objeto imagéticomediático. Reconhece elementos que constituem os seus antecedentes históricos, desde os sistemas de comunicação à distância pré-postal até o seu advento, na Inglaterra do século XIX. Aponta, por meio de revisão bibliográfica e análise documental, as características de sua composição material e das técnicas de mecanização utilizadas em sua produção. Propõe uma teoria, por meio de funções, que explica os seus regimes de produção, circulação e consumo. Considera, ainda, características de convergência que constituem o campo da Filatelia Digital na contemporaneidade. Por fim, possibilita um olhar autocrítico sobre o que salta aos olhos do observador, a saber: o selo postal (objeto), o sê-lo (Self) e o selo (encerramento). Tudo, para revelar o que somos: imago.

Abstract:
O processo de projetos de edifícios tornou-se mais complexo ao longo dos anos, considerando o crescente número de disciplinas necessárias para a construção do ambiente construído. Além disso, há muitos desafios relacionados à realização de requisitos sustentáveis. No Brasil, o Governo Federal lançou em 2003 um programa específico dedicado a promover a eficiência energética em edifícios: PROCEL EDIFICA. Este selo apresenta uma gama de exigências que devem ser consideradas pelos arquitetos, a fim de garantir o desempenho energético adequado das edificações. No entanto, os procedimentos para verificar se esses parâmetros foram adequadamente incorporados ao projeto não são simples. Nesse sentido, é relevante considerar o processo de verificação automatizada usando a plataforma BIM (Building Information Modeling). Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa que visa demonstrar as possibilidades oferecidas pela plataforma BIM na verificação dos requisitos propostos pelo selo Procel Edifica. Resultados apontam para uma metodologia de gestão e construção de arquitetura que considera a verificação automatizada, a fim de facilitar o processo de projeto de arquitetos e engenheiros

Abstract:
Introdução: Fungos são seres vivos ubíquos, heterotróficos uni ou multicelulares, morfologicamente diversificados, importantes para o ecossistema, reciclagem da matéria orgânica e equilíbrio ecológico. Além dessas funções biológicas, os fungos, de uma maneira geral, fazem parte do imaginário coletivo sociocultural, sendo encontrados em diferentes estampas, desenhos infantis, jogos eletrônicos, filmes, desenhos animados, etc. Diversidade cultural define-se como diversidade biológica, cultural e linguística, incluindo inter-relações, dentro do complexo sistema adaptativo socioecológico. Este trabalho propõe o termo “Funga Cultural” como estudo da presença fúngica nas diferentes manifestações culturais. Como exemplo de manifestação cultural, este trabalho trata de relacionar fungos com filatelia. Objetivos: Realizar um inventário dos selos postais e comemorativos brasileiros que apresentam imagens de fungos, além de analisar suas representações na Funga Cultural e citar a classificação taxonômica das espécies estampadas nos selos. Material e Métodos: Pesquisa utilizou o “Catálogo de Selos do Brasil RHM”, principal obra de referência filatélica do país, sendo utilizada pelos colecionadores e comerciantes de selos brasileiros. Foram analisados todos os selos postais comemorativos emitidos pela Empresa de Correios e Telégrafos do Brasil durante o período de 1900-2019. Resultados: Desde o ano de 1900 até 2019, o Brasil emitiu 3.877 selos comemorativos. Desses, apenas dez (0,26%) têm estampas de fungos, distribuídos em três diferentes séries: três selos da série “Fungos”; um selo da série “Estação Ecológica do Taim-RS”; e seis selos da série “Diversidade de Fungos”. Os nomes científicos das espécies estão estampados nos selos. Exceto um selo da série Estação Ecológica. Porém, de acordo com suas características fenotípicas, provavelmente pertence ao filo Basidiomycota. Essa série é formada por uma dupla de selos e o fungo aparece somente no primeiro deles. Os táxons estampados nos outros selos foram: Pycnoporus sanguineus; Calvatia sp.; Pleurotus sp.; Clathrus chrysomycelinus; Clathrus columnatus; Geastrum violaceum; Hydnopolyporus fimbriatus; Laetiporus gilbertsonii e Oudemansiella cubensis. Conclusão: Os fungos apresentam pouca representatividade nos selos comemorativos brasileiros. Os selos fazem parte da cultura humana e aqueles com estampas de fungos podem ser inseridos como representantes da Funga Cultural. Ademais, pode-se usar o selo como mais um recurso didático no ensino da funga e na divulgação científica.
