Abstract:
Given a simple connected graph G, the metric dimension dim(G) (and edge metric dimension edim(G)) is defined as the cardinality of a smallest vertex subset S⊆V(G) for which every two distinct vertices (and edges) in G have distinct distances to a vertex of S. It is an interesting topic to discuss the relation between these two dimensions for some class of graphs. This paper settles two open problems on this topic for unicyclic graphs. We recently learned that Sedlar and S̆krekovski settled these problems, but our work presents the results in a completely different way. By introducing four classes of subgraphs, we characterize the structure of a unicyclic graph G such that dim(G) and edim(G) are equal to the cardinality of any minimum branch-resolving set for unicyclic graphs. This generates an approach to determine the exact value of the metric dimension (and edge metric dimension) for a unicyclic graph.

Abstract:
The article addresses the claim that the “left populist” governments of Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Venezuela failed to effectively reduce inequality in the 2000s. The author examines the econometric evidence presented by McLeod and Lustig (2011) that the “social democratic” governments of Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay were more successful and shows that McLeod and Lustig's results are highly sensitive to their use of data from the Socioeconomic Database for Latin America and the Caribbean (SEDLAC). Conducting the same analysis using inequality data from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) suggests the exactly opposite conclusion. The contrast between the results obtained using SEDLAC and ECLAC data suggests that the choice of inequality data source is not immaterial and that the difference is probably driven by how the two sources handle the underreporting of income in household surveys. The key difference between SEDLAC and ECLAC data is that the latter correct for the underreporting of income while the former do not. Absent reasonable criteria for choosing between the two datasets, the author suggests that any econometric results pertaining to Latin American income inequality should prove robust to both data sources.

IntroductionIn Malaysia, national methadone maintenance therapy program was started by the goverment in October 2005 as part of harm reduction approach in reducing HIV prevalence among drug users along with needles and Syringes exchange(NSEP) program. However, slow coverage of MMT treatment occurs due to limited resources in existing health facilities and lack of participation from general practioners(Gps). There is a need for another paltform to increase coverage and participation of GPs in national MMT program.ObjectivesTo compare the retention rate and other outcomes measures between SEDAR program and Standard MMT treatment in hospital.AimsTo determine the feasability of MMT program in mosque environment.MethodsThe pilot MMT program known as SEDAR program was conducted in Ar-Rahman mosque involving 30 clients. Brief spiritual intervention(BSI) was given by mosque staffs on top of standard MMT treatment counseling. BSI include washing body parts with water or “wuduk”, praying in the mosque or “tahiyatul masjid” and recite “doa” in the mosque environment prior to direct observed therapy of methadone in the mosque by the pharmacist. The retention rate, % of urine drugs negative over time period, drug use and HIV risk behavior, quality of live and spiritual progress were measure using specific tools: OTI, WHO Qol, SF36, HIR96.ResultsWe expect the SEDAR group in Mosque has better outcomes or comparable with standard MMT treatment in hospital setting.ConclusionsThe SEDAR program is feasable to increase coverage of MMT program in Malaysia.

Este estudo teve como objetivo interpretar e analisar como o Jornal Folha de São Paulo retratou os Jogos Olímpicos Rio 2016 como evento esportivo na cobertura esportivo-midiática da Folha de São Paulo. Este artigo é resultado de uma pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, tendo como corpus o Jornal Folha de São Paulo, referente às edições de 1º de julho a 30 de setembro de 2016. A análise deu-se através de períodos temporais, de acordo com o que estava acontecendo em cada período. A cobertura do pré-evento muito se preocupou com o término das estruturas e se o país tinha condições de sediar JO. Por outro lado, a cobertura durante o evento mostrou que o país tinha condições de sediar megaeventos. Por fim, a cobertura do pós-evento retratou o legado que os jogos deixaram para o país sede das Olimpíadas Rio-2016.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis seberapa besar tanggapan responden tentang iklan Mie Sedaap versi Choi Siwon, seberapa besar minta beli produk Mie Sedaap Korean Spicy Chicken, dan besaran pengaruh iklan Mie Sedaap versi Choi Siwon terhadap minat beli konsumen di area Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif-kausalitas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode non-probability sampling jenis incidental sampling, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah iklan Mie Sedaap versi Choi Siwon berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan trerhadap minat beli Iklan Mie Sedaap versi Choi Siwon sudah masuk kedalam kategori baik, namun masih ada beberapa item yang perlu diperbaiki seperti konten iklan yang kurang memiliki daya tarik yang membuat konsumen tidak berminat untuk melihatnya berulang kali.

Abstract:
Remuneration is a measure of the purchasing power of the population that shows how wealthy the given society is. Analysis of remuneration received by different groups provides information about inequalities between and within the analyzed groups. One of the groups whose pay is lower than the average are women. In this article the attempt to indicate reasons for such inequality is undertaken. In the research presented in the article the main objective is to verify the significance of occupations and industries in shaping the gender wage gap in contemporary Poland. The research was based on data from the Polish Earning Survey, which was conducted by Sedlak & Sedlak for a single year, 2018. The results obtained show that the gender wage gap in Poland is explained in 36% by occupations and 15% by industry in which women are employed, which proves the significance of location factors in shaping gender wage gap

Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penilaian siswa terfokus terhadap hasil belajar siswa bukan kemampuan siswa, kurangnya pengetahuan guru tentang kemampuan matematika siswa, letak sekolah yang terpencil dekat dengan pantai. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Sedari I Desa Sedari Kecamatan Cibuaya Kabupaten Karawang – Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan ekspositori, diskusi dan simulasi. Hasil kegiatan dapat dilihat dari persentasi kemampuan pemahaman siswa sebesar 90% dalam simulasi pembelajaran Ikan Veves dalam mengembagkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa pada materi bilangan romawi di SD Negeri Sedari I. Kata Kunci : Srategi Pembelajaran Ikan Veves, Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematika This service is motivated by student assessment focused on student learning outcomes rather than student abilities, lack of teacher knowledge about students' mathematical abilities, the location of remote schools close to the beach. This activity was carried out at SDN Sedari I Sedari Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java. The method used expository, discussion and simulation. The results of the activity can be seen from the percentage of students 'understanding ability by 90% in the Fish Veves learning simulation in developing students' understanding abilities in roman numerals material at SDN Sedari I. Abstract The study attempts to estimate the causal relationship between foreign company ownership and wages that is driven by ownership per se, and not by observable or unobservable worker and firm characteristics. We employ proprietary data from surveys conducted by Sedlak & Sedlak, a major Polish HR consulting firm, with our pooled cross-section data set comprising over 300,000 men and 250,000 women working in the Polish labor market between 2013 and 2017. The foreign-firm wage premium is estimated by several techniques, ranging from ordinary least squares and two-stage least squares to a recently developed frequentist RX-2SLS econometric procedure that relaxes IV assumptions via the exclusion restriction. Our major findings are: (1) regardless of gender, Polish workers employed by majority foreign capital firms earn a significant wage premium; and (2) the foreign-firm wage premium is substantially larger for women, suggesting that the wage policies used by foreign-owned firms in Poland have an equalizing effect on the gender wage gap.

Instant noodles are a food product that is easy to make and find. PT Wings Food Indonesia is a company from Mie Sedaap that follows the market trend in great demand by Generation Z. Indonesia has the second most K-Pop fans in the world after South Korea. Seeing the many levels of K-Pop fans in Indonesia, PT Wings Food Indonesia released the latest Korean-style Mie Sedaap variant. It appointed an actor from South Korea known for his reputation and positive influence named Choi Siwon as the Brand Ambassador for his newest product, Mie Sedaap Korean Spicy Chicken. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the credibility of Choi Siwon as a Brand Ambassador on the Brand Image of Mie Sedaap Korean Spicy Chicken. The theory applied in this test is communication, source credibility, Brand Ambassador, and Brand Image. The research population is unlimited, namely generation Z, who consumed Mie Sedaap. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a survey method, and then data is collected through a questionnaire to 95 respondents as a sample. The results showed that the credibility of Choi Siwon as a Brand Ambassador influenced the Brand Image of Mie Sedaap Korean Spicy Chicken products by 71.8%. The visibility dimension has the most influence on the X variable. Meanwhile, the brand uniqueness dimension affected the most on Y variable

Ia dikenakan ke atas barang dan perkhidmatan di setiap peringkat pengeluaran dan pengedaran dalam rantaian pembekalan termasuk barang dan perkhidmatan yang diimport. GST menggantikan cukai kepenggunaan sedia ada iaitu cukai jualan dan cukai perkhidmatan. Objektif kajian ini meliputi tiga perkara: pertama, untuk mendapatkan pandangan pelajar Malaysia di United Kingdom (UK) dan Ireland tentang kefahaman mereka terhadap perlaksanaan GST secara umum. Kedua, untuk mendapatkan kefahaman rakyat malaysia dalam perlaksanaan GST oleh kerajaan Malaysia. Ketiga untuk mendapatkan maklumbalas daripada responden tentang kesediaan rakyat dan kerajaan Malaysia dalam Perlaksanaan GST di Malaysia. Kajian ini penting kerana persepsi, pandangan dan cadangan daripada pelajar Malaysia di UK dan Ireland ini boleh dijadikan satu panduan dan rujukan oleh pihak kerajaan Malaysia dalam perlaksanaan GST. Dalam mencapai objektif penyelidikan, kaedah kajian berpandukan soalan soalselidik diguna pakai keatas 387 pelajar Malaysia di pusat pengajian tinggi di UK dan Ireland. Kajian ini telah dijalankan sepanjang tempoh dari bulan Disember 2014 dimana kertas soalselidik telah diedarkan kepada pelajaar-pelajar yang menyertai program anjuran pejabat Education Malaysia UK dan Ireland dan juga persatuan-persatuan pelajar Malaysia di sana. Data dianalisa menggunakan statistik deskripsi dan juga statistik inferential. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan pelajar Malaysia tahu dan sedar apa itu GST dan maklum yang banyak negara di dunia telah melaksanaan GST ini. Mereka juga sedia maklum akan perlaksanaan GST di Malaysia dan memberi reaksi positif akan kebaikan sistem cukai yang baharu ini. Responden juga sedar dan faham yang rakyat serta kerajaan Malaysia telah bersedia sepenuhnya untuk menjayakan sistem percukaian GST yang dianggap lebih baik daripada sistem cukai yang sebelum ini. Kesimpulan yang boleh dibuat, majoriti pelajar Malaysia di UK dan Ireland sedar dan faham dengan perlaksanaan GST yang diyakini akan lebih memberi keadilan kepada semua pihak yang sumber pendapatan yang tinggi kepada kerajaan. Memandangkan pelajar Malaysia di UK dan Ireland sedar dan faham akan kebaikan sistem percukaian baharu ini, maka kerajaan boleh menjadikannya sebagai salah satu contoh akan kesedaran dan kefahaman rakyat untuk meneruskan perlaksanaan GST ini. Abstrak Pariwisata kreatif merupakan bentuk pariwisata alternatif yang prospektif untuk dikembangkan di Desa Sedari. Penelitian yang ada menunjukkan bahwa daya tarik utama kawasan hutan mangrove selama ini semata pemandangan yang cenderung tidak melibatkan partisipasi dan pengalaman wisatawan dalam kegiatan pariwisata. Hal ini mengindikasikan potensi yang ada belum sepenuhnya termanfaatkan optimal. Terlebih kegiatan pariwisata ditunda dan dihentikan sementara dengan adanya Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) untuk mencegah meluasnya penyebaran pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi pariwisata kreatif kawasan hutan mangrove di Desa Sedari, Kecamatan Cibuaya, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan eksploratif. Data primer dan sekunder diperoleh melalui wawancara serta studi pustaka. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1) Hutan mangrove Desa Sedari memiliki potensi untuk pengembangan pariwisata kreatif; (2) Pengembangan ke arah pariwisata kreatif baru dimulai pada tahun 2021 namun belum terlaksana optimal dimana belum ada pengelolaan, pengelola maupun program yang terencana baik. (3) Bentuk pariwisata kreatif yang dapat dikembangkan di kawasan hutan mangrove, diantaranya birdwatching, pengolahan produk berbasis mangrove, maupun kegiatan wisata yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif wisatawan, juga kerjasama wisatawan dengan masyarakat lokal dan pengelola kawasan hutan mangrove. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan dilakukannya renovasi dan revitalisasi sejumlah infrastruktur fisik kawasan hutan mangrove untuk pengembangan kegiatan pariwisata kreatif, peningkatan kompetensi dan kualifikasi sumber daya manusia pariwisata serta penguatan kemitraan kerja diantara para pemangku kepentingan terkait. Kata Kunci: pariwisata kreatif, partisipasi aktif, hutan mangrove, desa sedari, pandemi COVID-19 Explorative Study of the Creative Tourism Potential of the Mangrove Forest Area Sedari Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Abstract Creative tourism is an alternative tourism that is prospective to be developed in Sedari Village. Existing research shows that the main tourist attraction of mangrove forest area in Sedari Village so far is mere the scenery which tends not to involve the participation and experience of tourists within the tourism activities. This indicates that the existing potential has not yet fully utilized. Moreover, tourism activities were temporarily postponed and stopped during the Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) that carried out to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to explore the creative tourism potential of mangrove forest area in Sedari Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. This study utilised descriptive research method with exploratory approach. Primary and secondary data were obtained through interviews and literature study. This study found that (1) The mangrove forest of Sedari Village has the potential for the development of creative tourism; (2) Development towards creative tourism has not yet optimally implemented. It was just started in 2021 that there are no well-planned programs, managers nor management. At present; (3) Types of creative tourism can be developed in Sedari mangrove forest areas, including birdwatching, processing mangrove based tourism products; tourism activities involving tourist active participation, as well as tourist cooperation with local communities and mangrove forest area managers. This study recommends for the renovation and revitalization of a number of physical infrastructures for the development of creative tourism activities; the enhancement of tourism human resources qualifications and competencies; as well as strengthening the working partnership amongst relevant stakeholders. Jenis Rancangan sampling yang digunakan yaitu sampling probabilitas yaitu sampel yang diambil berdasarkan probabilitas (kemungkinan) dimana setiap unsur populasi mempunyai kemungkinan yang sama untuk dipilih melalui perhitungan secara sistematis. Sedangkan Teknik sample yang digunakan adalah Sampling Random Sederhana yaitu setiap anggota populasi mempunyai peluang yang sama untuk dipilih menjadi sampel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diperoleh hasil bahwa iklan Mie Sedaap Korean Spicy Chicken termasuk sebagai iklan yang efektif. Tingkat efektifitas iklan tersebut diperoleh dari hasil penelitian menggunakan Direct Rating Methode yang meiliki kategori peringkat nilai (iklan buruk, iklan kurang baik, iklan rata-rata, iklan baik, dan iklan hebat).
