Abstract:

Results of a revision of original material on the Cruciferae Juss. taxa described on the base of A. G. Schrenk’s gatherings of 1840-1843 are presented. Among the taxa under study, 14 species and 1 variety were described by Schrenk, 2 species by F. E. L. Fischer and C. A. Meyer, and 1 species was intended by Schrenk and described by E. R. Trautvetter. Data on the type specimens of all treated taxa deposited in LE, P, M, WU, MW, TK, HAL, AA (completely), B and W (partly) are given, the type category of each specimen being specified. Lectotypes are designated (all based on the material of LE) for 11 species and 1 variety; for other 4 species, a second-step typification is made, and lectotypes are restricted to a single specimen. Currently accepted names (if different from original ones) are provided along with the most widely applied synonyms. The name Odontarrhena hirta Schrenk is reduced to synonymy of Alyssum obovatum (C. A. Mey.) Turcz. Notes are given where needed.

Abstract:

Prediction of an aerodynamic load acting on a wing or usually called wing loading becomes an important stage for structural analysis. Several methods have been used in estimating the wing loading. Schrenk approximation method is commonly used to achieve the fast estimation of lift distribution along wingspan, but in order to achieve a high level accuracy of aerodynamic prediction, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with Navier Stokes-based equation can be used. LAPAN Surveillance UAV (LSU series) has been chosen to represent an aerodynamics analysis on generic small unmanned aircraft with twinboom vertical stabilizer configuration. This study was focused to verify the Schrenk approximation method using high accuracy numerical simulation (CFD). The goal of this study was to determine the lift distribution along wingspan and a number of errors between Schrenk approximation and CFD method. In this study, Schrenk approximation result showed similarity with the CFX simulation. So the two results have been verified in analysis of wing loading. ABSTRAKPrediksi dari beban aerodinamika yang terjadi pada sayap menjadi salah satu tahap yang penting dalam analisis struktur perancangan pesawat. Beberapa metode telah digunakan untuk mengestimasi besarnya beban aerodinamika pada sayap. Metode Schrenk umum digunakan untuk estimasi cepat perhitungan besar distribusi gaya angkat di sepanjang sayap. Guna mencapai tingkat akurasi yang tinggi dari prediksi aerodinamika, simulasi Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) dengan berbasis persamaan Navier-Stokes dapat digunakan. Pesawat nirawak LSU dipilih untuk merepresentasikan analisis aerodinamika pada pesawat nirawak dengan konfigurasi twin-tailboom pusher. Fokus dari studi yang dilakukan adalah untuk memverifikasi dari metode pendekatan dari Schrenk dengan menggunakan metode yang memiliki akurasi tinggi seperti simulasi CFD. Tujuan dari studi adalah untuk menghitung distribusi gaya angkat sepanjang sayap dan menentukan seberapa besar error dari kedua metode.

Abstract:

Abstract To examine the associations existing between elevation and tree growth, tree-ring width chronologies of Schrenk spruce (Picea schrenkiana) were developed from sampling sites at different elevations in the Wusun Mountain, Yili region, Xinjiang, northwest China. The radial growth of high-elevation trees was observed to be primarily influenced by meteorological factors in the non-growth season of the previous year. The radial growth of mid-elevation trees was mainly affected by temperature. The radial growth of low-elevation trees was mainly affected by both temperature and relative humidity. About climate change, the radial growth of Schrenk spruce at different elevations showed a non-uniform response to climate variables. Under the condition of intensified drought stress in the future, the forest ecosystem is likely to be greatly affected, and the radial growth of Schrenk spruce at low elevations will be especially inhibited.

Studi mengenai analisa buckling pada pesawat tanpa awak LSU 05 yaitu pesawatLAPAN Surveilance UAV generasi kelima sudah dilakukan analisa dengan metode elemenhinggan (FEM) menggunakan software Patran/Nastran. Pada studi ini penentuan aircraft loaddari pesawat UAV LSU-05 didapat dari perkalian MTOW pesawat dengan Load Factor sebesar3.8 dan didistribusikan pada tiap-tiap nodal lower surface menggunakan metode Schrenk.Metode Schrenk ini adalah sebuah metode perhitungan pendekatan (aproksimasi) yangdigunakan untuk menghitung distribusi lift sepanjang span, selanjutnya distribusi lift tersebutdigunakan untuk menghitung analisa buckling yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui kekuatan skinstruktur sayap pesawat UAV LSU-05 dengan parameter buckling factor. Material yang digunakanmaterial komposit woven carbon fibre dan unidirectional carbon fibre dengan ketebalan 8 layer.Pembebanan yang digunakan adalah beban gaya angkat dengan metode schrenk dan kondisi batasfix pada bagian sambungan wing root. Hasil perhitungan Patran/Nastran menunjukan bahwa analisaarah serat 0°/90° ketebalan 14 layer material unidirectional carbon fibre mempunyai nilai bucklingfactor terbesar. Sedangkan arah serat 0°/±45º ketebalan 8 layer memiliki nilai buckling terkecil.Kata kunci : UAV, komposit, Buckling factor dan Metode Schrenk.

Abstract:

The article presents and describes the plants of the genus Rosa L. growing on the territory of the Dzungarian Alatau. As a result of the study of literature sources it was found that out of 57 species of the Rosaceae family growing in the territory of the CIS countries there are 10 species of the genus Rosa L. (R. beggeriana Schrenk, R. canina L., R. platyacantha Schrenk, R. laxa Retz., R. spinosissima L., R. alberti Regel, R.schrenkiana Crep., R. acicularis Lindl., R. majalis Herrm, R. nanothamnus Bouleng.). The state of the vegetation cover of the Dzungarian Alatau for 2015, 2017 and 2020 was also studied using the program. The gradual degradation of the plant community of this mountain system is determined.

Abstract:

The article presents the results of a study of the anatomy of the vegetative organs (shoots, buds, leaf blades, and petioles) of Populus pruinosa Schrenk. The studied species are part of the vulnerable, tertiary relict species has status 2 (U) in the floristic complex of the Aktobe region The research material was collected in two populations of Populus pruinosa Schrenk: the first population grows in the Irgiz region, 10 km southeast of the village. Tauip, 143 m a.s.l., N 48.11267°, Е 62.11620° the second population is in the Irgiz region, 35 km (Zhylandy area) in the southern part of the village. Nura 167 m a.s.l., N 48,74523°, Е 62,51491° the species grows on sands and pebbles, solonchaks singly or in groves along rivers, which have undergone anatomical and morphological studies at the microscopic and macroscopic levels.The choice of the topic was made in accordance with the endemicity, significance, and relevance of biodiversity conservation issues. Natural populations are of particular importance for research because they reflect many aspects of interest to science, such as the life cycle, anatomical structure, and life expectancy. The obtained information about the features of the anatomical structure of the vegetative organs of Populus pruinosa Schrenk will be used in the future for the diagnosis of this species when studying its phytochemical composition.

Abstract:

Forest ecosystems are strongly impacted by extreme climate, and the age effects of radial growth under drought can provide profound understanding of the adaptation strategy of a tree species to climate change. Schrenk spruce (Picea schrenkiana Fisch. & C.A. Mey) trees of three age groups (young, middle-aged, and old) were collected to establish the tree-ring width chronologies in the eastern Tianshan Mountains of northwestern China. Meanwhile, we analyzed and compared the response and resistance disparities of radial growth to drought in trees of different age groups. The results showed that (1) drought stress caused by increasing temperatures was the main factor limiting the radial growth of Schrenk spruce, (2) the old and young trees were more susceptible to drought stress than the middle-aged trees, as suggested by the responses of Schrenk spruce trees and based on the SPEI (standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index), and (3) the difference of the resistance indexes (resistance, recovery, resilience, and relative resilience) of three age groups to drought supported that the resistance values were in the order middle age > young age > old age, but the recovery, resilience, and relative resilience values were in the order old age > young age > middle age. These results will provide a basis for the ecological restoration and scientific management of dominant coniferous tree species of different age groups in the sub-alpine forest ecosystems of the arid regions under climate change scenarios.

Abstract:

Rosa species are widely used in folk medicine in different countries of Asia and Europe, but not all species are studied in-depth. For instance, Rosa beggeriana Schrenk, a plant which grows in Central Asia, Iran, and some parts of China, is little described in articles. Column and thin-layer chromatography methods were used to isolate biologically active substances. From a study of fruits and leaves of Rosa beggeriana Schrenk, a large number of compounds were identified, seven of which were isolated: 3β,23-dihydroxyurs-12-ene (1), β-sitosterol (2), betulin (3), (+)-catechin (4), lupeol (5), ethyl linoleate (6), and ethyl linolenoate (7). Their structures were elucidated by 1H, DEPT and 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and GC-MS (gas chromatography–mass spectrometry). The study also identified the structures of organic compounds, including volatile esters and acids. Consequently, comprehensive data were acquired concerning the chemical constitution of said botanical specimen.

Abstract:

The study of medicinal plant raw materials as a source for the creation of unique and highly effective medicines based on it is of great importance for the development of pharmacy and medicine in Kazakhstan. Various types of rosehip contain a valuable complex of biologically active compounds (BAC), which causes their widespread use in folk medicine due to antioxidant, antiinflammatory, choleretic and body-strengthening effects, as well as pharmacopoeial objects of both the plants themselves and the medicines obtained on their basis. The object of this study – Rosa beggeriana Schrenk, which grows only in Asia, in particular Kazakhstan, Iran, and some parts of China, and has an almost unexplored valuable arsenal of compounds with biological activity, can increase the share of domestic medicines in the pharmaceutical market of the country. Goals and objectives. The purpose is to identify the suitability of raw material for further use in medicine. Research methods. The research object was collected during the fruiting season along the Ili River in the Almaty region and dried in accordance with recommendations for this type of raw material. In this study, chemical and physicochemical research methods were used. The article presents data on the establishment of the goodness of the studied Rosa beggeriana Schrenk plants and the dry complex of BAC obtained on a comparative context with the wellknown pharmacopoeia species of this plant family of Rosa canina plants, the mineral composition of macro- and microelements and the development of an optimal technology for obtaining a complex of biologically active substances from Rosa beggeriana Schrenk in the form of a dry extract. Conclusion. It has been established that this type of rose hip can be used for medical purposes and is not inferior in quality to the widespread type of rose hip Rosa canina. Parameters were also established under which the highest yield of raw materials can be obtained.

Chronology Development and Climate Response Analysis of Schrenk Spruce (Picea Schrenkiana) Tree-Ring Parameters in the Urumqi River Basin, ChinaSeven different tree-ring parameters (total tree-ring width, earlywood width, latewood width, maximum latewood density, minimum earlywood density, average earlywood density, and average latewood density) were obtained from Schrenk spruce in the Urumqi River Basin, China. The chronologies were analyzed individually and then compared with each other. The relationships between the different tree-ring parameters and climate data (Daxigou) are also presented. Earlywood-related parameters (earlywood width, minimum density, and earlywood density) were more sensitive to climate than those of latewood. Temperature (July) was found to be the most strongly related to the earlywood density. Based on the results of climate response analysis, the potential of tree-ring chronologies from this species to provide climate reconstructions in the Urumqi River Basin has been established. This study demonstrates that the use of tree-ring density data can increase the climate information obtained from tree-ring and should lead to improved paleoclimate reconstructions in Central Asian.

Primarily, lithium (Li) resource development and wider application of Li-ion batteries result in Li pollution and concomitantly poses increasing and inevitable problems to environmental health and safety. However, information is rare about the scope of the remediation of Li contaminated soil. Apocynum venetum is already proved to be a Li-accumulator with high Li tolerance and accumulation (Jiang et al., 2014). However, it is not clear whether Apocynum pictum, another species of the same genus with the same uses as A. venetum, is also a Li-accumulator. We investigated germination, growth and physiological responses of A. pictum to different levels of LiCl. Germination was not significantly affected by low Li concentration (0–100 mmol L−1). As LiCl increased from 100 to 400 mmol L−1, both germination percentage and index decreased gradually. For germination of A. pictum seeds, the critical value (when germination percentage is 50%) in LiCl solution was 235 mmol L−1, and the limit value (when germination percentage is 0%) was 406 mmol L−1. A. pictum could accumulate >1,800 mg kg−1 Li in leaves, and still survived under 400 mg kg-1 Li supply. The high Li tolerance of A. pictum during germination and growth stage was also reflected by activity of α-amylase and contents of soluble sugar, proline and photosynthetic pigments under different Li treatments. The bioconcentration factors (BCF) (except control) and translocation factors (TF) were higher than 1.0. High tolerance and accumulation of Li indicated that A. pictum is Li-accumulator. Therefore, this species could be useful for revegetation and phytoremediation of Li contaminated soil.
