Abstract:
In stressing the need to embrace the use of technology in American Schools, Doyle states that educators “can't afford not to use technology” [1]; he goes on to say that the effective use of technology “will transform not just what a school accomplishes, but how it does so.” Despite being the focus of a great deal of attention, such visions are slow to materialize. So how can a school go about achieving an emphasis on technology? One strategy is for the school principals to lead by example. The use of microcomputers for student information management provides such an opportunity. After reviewing the process for selecting the most appropriate software, this article presents the experiences of the first ten Edmonton Public high schools to implement microcomputer based student information management.

Abstract:
Information management especially related to teaching and learning materials is an important application in school in order to bring education system more effective and systematic. Modern education requires fundamental changes in current education system platform for ensuring teaching method becomes more efficient. The challenges of current school information management are non-integrated system, difficulty in configuration and deployment as well as complexity of storage provision. These issues reduce the motivation among teachers to participate in sharing teaching and learning materials in school information management system. This article proposes a gamification model canvas framework for school information management under cloud computing environment. The aim is to provide a method for encouraging the teachers to share their teaching materials. Motivation element provided in model canvas method such as dynamics, behavior, component and aesthetic are used in the proposed framework. With the proposed framework, a cloud based prototype will be developed and can be used by schools.

Abstract:
Purpose This study aims to investigate records management in selected government schools in South Africa. Design/methodology/approach The study adopted a qualitative research approach to collect in-depth data from the principals or administrators working as records managers at the school level. In all, a sample of principals and administrators from seven schools were interviewed face-to-face to enable the researcher to visit the schools in person. Findings The findings indicate that although the principals or administrators make concerted efforts to manage school records, there is no uniform system in place for this purpose. This results in haphazard record keeping and records management at the schools. The study recommends that the Department of Basic Education in Limpopo develop a file plan or model for schools to use to manage records uniformly in a standardised manner that would support accountability, transparency and good governance. Research limitations/implications The study was limited to seven primary schools in Lebopo Circuit, Limpopo province and secondary schools were excluded. Practical implications The author obtained a thorough understanding and direct insight into how principals or administrators manage school records. This study makes recommendations for the effective management of records in government schools. Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to assess school nurses’ perceptions of barriers to optimal management of seizures in schools. Eighty-three school nurses completed an electronic survey. Most agreed they felt confident they could identify a seizure (97.6%), give rectal diazepam (83.8%), and handle cluster seizures (67.1%), but fewer were confident they could give intranasal midazolam (63.3%), had specific information about a student’s seizures (56.6%), or could swipe a vagus nerve stimulator magnet (47.4%). Nurses were more likely to be available at the time of a seizure in rural (17/20) (85%) versus suburban (21/34) (62%) or urban (8/25) (32%) schools ( P = .001). School nurses are comfortable managing seizures in the school setting. However, a specific seizure plan for each child and education on intranasal midazolam and vagus nerve stimulator magnet use are needed. A barrier in urban schools is decreased availability of a nurse to identify seizures and administer treatment.

Schools as providers of educational services are a gateway to the progress of a nation. Many prospective students look for schools with good quality in order to get something that they aspire to. While the reference for assessing school services for prospective students can only be known from students who have graduated or through poster media. Meanwhile, the assessment of student experience only refers to personal opinions and only one factor such as teaching services or administration. Each student has a different argument about school services. This study will explain the creation of a framework for determining service levels in NFC-based schools. Evaluation of services in schools using information technology through smartphone applications connected to the computer provided at the information service desk. The information generated in the form of evaluating educational services in schools aims to improve the quality of learning and academic administrative services. Furthermore, the information generated will be made a report by the data processor addressed to the leadership. With this service, it is expected that there will be an increase in the quality of education and learning services that are able to produce quality graduates and can become information and references for prospective students in choosing schools as a reference for educational services

Abstract:
This research is motivated by a decline in morals which is increasingly widespread in this millennial era. The development of information technology that has entered the industrial revolution 4.0 has a huge impact on the behavior and culture that develops in society. Apart from positive things, of course the negative impacts are due to the very openness of information that can be accessed by all people, including children. Among them are the many hoaxes and trash information as well as misleading information. There needs to be a self-built filtration system to sort them out. One of them is the education system in schools. This phenomenon often becomes an apology for some people to give their scathing criticism of educational institutions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the IHAQI Boarding School Creative Junior High School had good management in implementing the guidance method of the dakwah pattern. The planning of using the dakwah pattern as a learning method carried out by educators at the IHAQI Boarding School Creative Junior High School has been carefully planned. As for the implementation of the use of the da'wah method at the IHAQI Boarding School Creative Junior High School, it is felt that it has been carried out effectively. So that the evaluation of the use of da'wah patterns in learning at the IHAQI Boarding School Creative Junior High School is enough to give a very deep impression to all students to inherit Islamic values. It's just that there are several obstacles and constraints that occur at this Creative Junior Boarding School which is centered on the realm of communication.

Abstract:
A strong basis has been set for the digitization of school management by the growth of big data and the Internet. However, there is not specialised software that can be used in schools to handle teaching materials and carry out teaching activities, particularly in school physical education. Most teachers struggle with significant information management issues in the conventional college sports management information system. Along with people’s interest in physical education in colleges and universities, the study of the college sports management information system’s development plan has emerged as the primary research area in the present day. The use of data mining in the development strategy of the sports management information system was therefore considered in conjunction with the actual situation of school sports information management. The experiment also introduced and provided a detailed explanation of the algorithm used in data mining. To fully explore the system strategy’s development impact was the specific goal. In order to realise the management function of the sports management information system, serve the information management of each school, increase information management efficiency by 6.58%, and improve user satisfaction; data mining was introduced into the development strategy of management information system through the discovery of experimental data.

Abstract:
Education quality questions become urgent for all educational institutions regardless of their type, the kind, size of provided services and so on. Thus, it is natural, that quality questions become more urgent for comprehensive schools as well. In the latter years, quite a lot of attention has been devoted to comprehensive school internal audit thematic. We can state, that internal audit is only a tiny sphere of quality management. Such type of examining of institution activity (internal state) in any case is only partial, insufficiently objective and so on. However, internal audit (IA) carried out in an appropriate way, without doubt, helps to improve school’s activity, if educational institution is interested in this itself. The results obtained during the research revealed that schools before presenting internal audit data on their website, both during the processing the received results and later on face difficulties. Also, there is, obviously, lack of concrete directions on how this process has to be carried out. It is obvious, that internal audit methodics are being applied not effectively, it is not clear what information presentation form has to be and what information should be announced in public. The research showed that the presented information content is not exhaustive, does not reflect school assessment process, schools tend not to show on their website at what level they evaluated their activity, usually only the weakest, the strongest and improvement requiring school activity sides are pointed out. This article presents research results which reveal comprehensive school internal audit information content aspects. Activity sphere evaluation based on concrete evaluation indicators: on average, both in the old IA methodics and in the updated IA methodics, activity spheres are evaluated 2.5, i.e, as an intermediate variant between 2nd and 3rd evaluation level: there are more strong features than shortcomings, however, the activity is adequate, but has to be improved. The highest quality having assessed school activity sphere in the old IA methodics – learning achievements – is evaluated at level 3, in the updated methodics – educability and learning and student support. Both in the old and in the updated IA methodics these activity spheres are evaluated equally (2,6) – school management, learning and education, student support, resources; (2,8) – school culture, achievements, ethos. The evaluation of advantages, disadvantages and activity spheres that need improvement: In both IA metodics the most frequently assessed activity sphere is related with the applicability of the education content to the learner. These spheres were the least evaluated: in the old IA methodics the fifth sphere – ethos, in the updated IA methodics – also the fifth activity sphere, however, it is related with the strategic management of the school. Gymnasiums, comparing the results of both IA methodics analyses, tend not to evaluate activity spheres, pointing out advantages, disadvantages and activity aspects requiring improvement in the way basic, secondary and special schools do. The old IA methodics was applied more in secondary schools; the updated IA is most frequently applied in basic and secondary schools. Key words: internal audit, methodics, comprehensive school, information.
