Abstract:
O texto apresenta relação entre estágio, pesquisa e geometria na educação infantil. Resulta de pesquisa qualitativa sobre (de)composição de figuras geométricas com turma de educação infantil em semi-internato, durante estágio de um curso de pedagogia de universidade pública sergipana. Como suporte teórico temos: Clements e Sarama (2011), Lorenzato (2010), Mendes e Delgado (2008), Pimenta e Lima (2012), Horn (2016), Smole (2014) e Vygotsky (2001). Ressaltamos que crianças possuem conhecimentos de figuras geométricas, ainda que restritos aos protótipos visuais vivenciados. Tais conhecimentos podem ser problematizados com atividades de (de)composição de figuras para desenvolvimento de habilidades espaciais, mas há necessidade de aprofundamento de conhecimento docente de geometria. Concluímos que a articulação estágio/pesquisa/geometria contribui para formação inicial de professores de educação infantil ao possibilitar conhecimentos teóricos e práticos no campo da geometria para crianças.

Abstract:
Based on natural language use, we examine the contextual environment of some negative constructions (e.g., Punctuality is not her forte/best attribute). Previous findings show that, as predicted by the view of default nonliteral interpretations, such negative constructions are interpreted nonliterally by default: (a) when presented in isolation, they are interpreted sarcastically and rated as sarcastic compared to affirmative counterparts; (b) when embedded in equally strongly biasing contexts, they are processed faster in sarcastically than in literally biasing contexts (Giora et al., 2013; Giora, Drucker et al., 2014). Here we test a third prediction that, unlike affirmative sarcasm, (c) such negative utterances will convey a sarcastic interpretation and their natural environment will echo their nonsalient (sarcastic) interpretation rather than their salience-based (literal) interpretation (Giora et al., 2010, 2013). Findings from 2 corpus-based studies of (Hebrew and English) negative constructions lend usage-based support to the view of default nonliteral interpretations (Giora et al., 2010, 2013; Giora, Drucker et al., 2014). They show that when occurring in natural discourses, such utterances communicate sarcasm significantly more often than their alternative affirmatives. Their neighboring utterances further reflect their nonsalient sarcastic interpretation rather than their salience-based nonsarcastic interpretation.

Abstract:
Energy audit of Sardar Patel College was carried out in 2012-2013. Energy audit of the college revealed that annual electricity consumption was 93,984 units at a total cost of Rs 8,28,248/- (US$ 15059) with an average of Rs 8.66 (US$ 0.15) per unit. The per capita energy expenditure on a student comes out to be Rs 127.42/- (US$ 2.31) per annum, while including teaching and non-teaching faculty members it was Rs 121.80/- (US$ 2.21) per annum. To reduce the electricity consumption in the college various measures were suggested such as use of energy efficient appliances, task lighting, peak shaving and good housekeeping measures. Abstract:
Sarcastic is considered a new world in parallel with natural change (Frank Burton, 2009). The sarcastic style was regarded as a sharp satire language so as to anger somebody (Toplak & Camp, 2011). However, this sarcastic language can be understood differently depending on the culture itself (Grice, 1975). Hence, the objective of this study is to identify perceptions, and the use of language sarcasm through dialogs adapted by Bowes & Katz (2011). This study has been using quantitative approaches. A research instrument, a questionnaire developed by Joel Mounts (2012) was applied in this study. In this study, respondents are 50 students comprising final year students in the Management Diploma in Private Higher Education Institutions. The results of the data analysis found that sarcastic language is not necessarily being delivered in aggressive form but also subtly. However, the use of sarcasm language can be effecting the negative emotions among teenagers.

Abstract:
Objective: The objective of the study was to determine the frequency of torus palatinus and torus mandibularis in patients visiting the outpatient department of Sardar Begum Dental Hospital, Peshawar. Materials and Methods: A descriptive study was conducted on dental patients attending the OPD of Sardar Begum Dental College (Hospital), Peshawar, KPK, Pakistan. The study included 236 patients, who attended the outpatient department (OPD), Sardar Begum Dental College (Hospital), Gandhara University, Peshawar for their dental problems from November 2012 to April 2013. The presence or absence of torus palatinus (TP) and torus mandibularis (TM) were examined by clinical inspection and palpation. Results: The frequency of TP and TM in the current study was 12 (5.10%) and 13 (5.50%), respectively. Both TP and TM were found only in 03 (1.30%). TM was found in 07 males and 06 females, respectively. Whereas 05 male and 07 females respectively. Conclusion: This study indicated that the prevalence of TP and TM in Peshawar was 5.10% and 5.50% respectively in our population. Results showed a significant relationship between the occurrences of tori with gender.

AbstractSpeakers signal sarcastic intent in a variety of ways, including the words they use and the tone of voice they employ. In this paper, we investigate whether facial cues are also used to indicate sarcastic intent. Participants were audio- and videotaped as they engaged in tasks designed to elicit sarcasm. In order to assess how facial cues differed in terms of common ground, participant pairs were divided into pairs of friends and strangers. We provide evidence that sarcasm is also signaled by a variety of facial cues, such as movement of the head, eyes, and mouth, and these cues are more commonly employed by friends than by strangers.

Abstract:
Sarcasm is the crudest style of the syndicate language, and its delivery always shows something that is not pleasant to hear. The intent of the research is to discover types of sarcasm from netizens on Twitter during American Election 2020. The data consist of sentences, phrases, and words that contain sarcasm. The researcher uses sarcasm theory of Camp (2011) that secluded into 4 types they are Propositional Sarcasm, Lexical Sarcasm, Like-Prefixed Sarcasm, and Illocutionary Sarcasm to define depicted of sarcasm that used by netizens on Twitter. After analyzing sarcasm on Twitter, the researcher found an amount types of sarcasm they are 22 tweets contain proporsitional sarcasm, 13 tweets contain lexical sarcasm, 5 tweets contain like-prefixed sarcasm, and 10 tweets contain illocutionary. Proporsitional sarcasm becomes dominant type that found out in this research.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att modellera och prognostisera Sveriges varuexport, varuimport och handelsnetto. Vi använder oss av data från januari 1975 till och med augusti 2010 för respektive serie. Dessa data testas och jämförs i olika ARIMA- och SARIMA-modeller samt skattas även medelst säsongsreningsprogrammet TRAMO/SEATS. För de modeller som bäst passar serierna genomförs därefter in sample- och out of sample-analyser med felmåtten RMSE och MAPE. Modellerna med bäst felmått och som därpå väljs ut för att göra prognoser för serierna till och med augusti 2012 är (3,1,0)x(0,1,1) för export, (2,1,1)x(0,1,1) för import samt (0,1,1)x(0,1,1) skattad i TRAMO/SEATS för handelsnetto.

Abstract:
Over the course of the last few years, a new movement has taken the American political system by storm, the Tea Party. The movement has not only captivated our media but also the minds of ordinary Americans and political elites. According to popular consensus and academic opinion, the Tea Party is comprised of a group of conservative-leaning Republicans who want a smaller government and a lesser tax burden. This is what we think of the Tea Party, but is it true? It is perceived that Tea Party members differ significantly from their Republican colleagues in the House of Representatives, but do they? Do they truly represent the Tea Party philosophy and agenda? By creating an original data set on the Republican members of the United States House of Representatives, and examining variables such as the political lean, economic and employment make-up of a member's district, their endorsements and incumbency, as well as high priority legislative votes from the 112th Congress, I will be able to investigate the characteristics and tendencies of Tea Party Caucus members. Once one looks at the 242 member House Republican Caucus and further examines the sixty members of the Tea Party Caucus, the data shows that Tea Party Caucus members largely originate from safe Republican districts and have served in previous congressional terms. Analysis shows that Tea Party Caucus members do vary significantly from their House Republican colleagues when examining their districts, but do not vary as considerably when examining their voting patterns.

Abstract:
This thesis provides a framework to understand and apply the philosophical principles of paternalism to determine the most reasonable actions states can take in regard to marijuana legalization. As matters currently stand in U.S. policy, states must decide whether they will prohibit, decriminalize, or legalize marijuana. First, I will give a brief history of marijuana regulations and societal perceptions in the United States. Second, I will define and differentiate concepts of illegalization, decriminalization, and legalization from one another. Third, I will summarize and analyze Joel Feinberg and Sarah Conly's arguments against and for paternalism, respectively. I will conclude by applying the strengths of each philosopher's arguments with respect to the marijuana debate to offer a policy that is both just and effective.

The purpose of this research is to analyze ironic and sarcastic utterances in the number of occurrence and their sociopragmatic function is sitcoms from different decades from 1950 to 2010. To carry out the analysis, seven transcripts from seven different decades with their correspondent videos were selected. Once the ironic and sarcastic utterances were identified, two matrices of analysis were utilized. For ironic utterances, the matrix of analysis proposed by Aguilera et. al (2001) and for sarcastic utterances, the matrix of analysis proposed by Negrón (2011). The results show a homogeneous occurrence of ironic utterances through decades whereas sarcasm becomes recurrent from 1970 on. This suggests that sarcasm corresponds to a contemporary phenomenon that evolved with the natural evolution of sitcoms regarding the social context of the decade. The same social context seems to limit or increase the sociopragmatic functions of these rhetorical devices. In the case of irony, its use seems to change over time while approaches and Humorous effect seem to constitute a permanent part of the genre. In the case of sarcasm, the results suggest that FTA change over time whereas the speaker attitude seems to be bounded to the characteristics of the sitcoms. Appraisal seems to constitute a feature of sarcastic utterances as indicated by its predominance in the analysis.

Abstract:
The writing-up of this PhD has examined experimental films I made between 2004 and 2010, in all five 16mm films: Stages Of Mourning, (17min, 2004), Taking My Skin, (35min, 2006), Blind Light (21min, 2007), Fall In Frame (19min, 2009), Phantom Rhapsody (19min, 2010). As I have been making films that have been exhibited and funded in the public field since 1990, the films included here constitute just less than half of my total films to date. The commentary is divided into three sections, each of which analyses the films from a particular perspective. In each section the five films are considered in turn, in chronological order. The rationale for having three different perspectives to analyse each film is that this provides a means of acknowledging and preserving a sense of the alterity of artists’ film, where readings are understood more as interpretations than as explanations. The choice of focus in each section summarises key considerations that have been relevant to my filmmaking practice over this time period, if not since the start of my filmmaking in 1990. In addition to providing contextual international film artists from both avantgarde and feminist film, I also reference theorists from philosophy to film and feminist studies who have been instrumental in the rationale for the films. The first section explores the films from the point of view of cinematic space, examining factors such as camera frame, angle, lens and edit as well as qualities of lighting, and durational qualities where for example a slowing of time might expand an idea of the space. Cinematic space is as much expressed through sound, so where relevant this is also discussed. The second section focuses on qualities of texture through both image and sound. In particular, as all the films were shot and printed onto 16mm, the question of the haptic in relation to the films is discussed, as is the low-budget hand-made texture of image and sound that is the materiality of the unpolished. Vivian Sobchack (The Address of the Eye: A Phenomenology of Film Experience, 1992), Sobchack (Inscribing Ethical Space: Ten Propositions on Death, Representation and Documentary, 1984) Laura U. Marks (The Skin of the Film: Intercultural Cinema, Embodiment, and the Senses, 2000) and Tom Gunning (The Cinema of Attraction: Early Film, Its Spectator and the Avant-Garde, 2006) are key texts I refer to. The third section focuses on issues of gender, in particular the female body, the female and lesbian gaze, and queer sexuality. Where the first two sections focus more on the structure and language or form of the films, this section focuses on social and philosophical questions of gender difference as points of critique or protest in the films. Luce Irigaray (Speculum Of The Other Woman, 1985 and This Sex Which Is not One, 1985) and Laura Mulvey (‘Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema’, 1975) are key texts that inform the writing.

Le théâtre est le lieu d’un rapport privilégié au corps, dans la co-présence du corps de l’acteur et du corps du spectateur au moment de la représentation théâtrale. Il est l’arène privilégiée où s’observe l’impact des bouleversements qui ont modifié les codes de la représentation au cours du vingtième siècle. Le théâtre anglais contemporain attire les regards sur le spectacle d’un corps souffrant, exhibé, violenté (théâtre In-yer-face, théâtre de la Catastrophe) et dans le même temps propose la représentation d’un corps spectral dans un théâtre influencé par Beckett. Ces deux tendances – corps spectacle et corps spectral – sont les signes visibles d’une crise de la représentation du corps et de la déconstruction du sujet. Les auteurs que nous avons choisis pour cette étude (Edward Bond, Howard Barker, Martin Crimp et Sarah Kane) se sont imposés comme les figures de proue d’un théâtre non-naturaliste, poétique et subversif, qui font du corps le pilier de leurs esthétiques. Notre étude se présente comme une anatomie du « corps esthétique » (Roland Barthes) dans une perspective comparatiste des dramaturgies abordées. Elle explore le rôle du corps dans tous les domaines de la représentation : Comment le texte construit-il le corps ? Comment le corps envahit-il le texte ? The theatre is a privileged site to understand the body, because of the copresence of the body of the actor and that of the spectator during the representation. It is the privileged arena where we can observe the consequences of the upheavals that changed the conventions in representation in the course of the twentieth century. English contemporary theatre attracts our attention both to the spectacle of a suffering body, which is also exposed and violated (In-yer-face theatre, the theatre of Catastrophe) and that of a spectral body, in a theatre influenced by Beckett. These two trends – the body as spectacle and the spectral body – are the visible signs of a crisis in the representation of the body and the deconstruction of the subject. The authors chosen for this study (Edward Bond, Howard Barker, Martin Crimp and Sarah Kane) are the figureheads of a non-naturalistic, poetic and subversive theatre. The body is at the core of their aesthetics. Our contention is to develop an anatomy of the “aesthetic body” (Roland Barthes) with a comparative approach of the works, and to investigate the role of the body in all the different fields of representation: How does the text create a body? A geração de energia elétrica através de turbinas eólicas é uma das alternativas praticamente inesgotáveis de geração de energia elétrica. Ela é considerada uma fonte de energia limpa, porém ainda necessita de muita pesquisa para desenvolvimento de ciência e tecnologias que assegurem uma uniformidade na geração, propiciando uma maior participação desta fonte na matriz energética tanto no Brasil quanto no mundo, pois o vento apresenta bruscas variações na velocidade, densidade e em outras variáveis importantes. Nos sistemas elétricos de base eólica, cada horizonte de previsão é aplicado em um determinado segmento específico, previsão de minutos, horas, semanas, meses e anos futuros do comportamento do vento, desta forma pode-se avaliar a disponibilidade de energia para o próximo período, uma informação relevante no despacho das unidades geradoras e no controle do sistema elétrico. Esta tese teve como proposta, desenvolver modelos de previsão a ultra curto, curto, médio e longo prazo da velocidade do vento, baseado em técnicas de inteligência computacional, usando modelos de Redes Neurais Artificiais, SARIMA e modelos híbridos e prever a capacidade da geração de potência para cada horizonte. Para aplicação da metodologia utilizou-se as variáveis meteorológicas do banco de dados do sistema de organização nacional de dados ambientais SONDA, estação de Petrolina, do período de 01 de janeiro de 2004 à 31 de março de 2017. O desempenho dos modelos foi comparado com 5, 10 e 20 passos para frente, considerando minutos, horas, dias, semanas, meses e anos como horizonte de previsão. O modelo hibrido obteve melhor resposta na previsões dentre as quais destacou-se o horizonte de horas.
The electric power generation through wind turbines is one of the practically inexhaustible alternatives sources of electric power. It is considered a source of clean energy, but still requires a lot of research to develop science and technologies that ensure uniformity in generation, providing a greater participation of this source in the energy matrix in Brazil as in the world, because the wind presents abrupt variations speed, density, and other important variables. In wind-based electrical systems, each forecast horizon is applied to a specific segment, forecast of minutes, hours, weeks, months, and future years of wind behavior, in order to evaluate the availability of energy for the next period, relevant information in the dispatch of the generating units and in the control of the electric system. This thesis aimed to develop ultra-short, short, medium and long-term prediction models of wind speed, based on computational intelligence techniques, using Artificial Neural Networks, SARIMA models and hybrid models and to predict the generation capacity of power for each horizon. For the application of the methodology, the meteorological variables of the database of the national environmental data system SONDA, Petrolina station, were used for the period from January 1st, 2004 to March 31st, 2017. The performance of the models was compared with 5, 10 and 20 steps forward, considering minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years as the forecast horizon. The hybrid model obtained better response in the forecasts, among which the hour horizon was highlighted.

Les poèmes retenus reflètent le rapport de la poétesse à l’utopie socialiste, de l’enthousiasme initial à une distanciation croissante la conduisant à trouver refuge auprès de modèles littéraires du passé et dans l’idyllique d’une nature encore intacte. Cette étude établit enfin une comparaison entre Sarah Kirsch et trois auteurs de sa génération : Günter Kunert, Volker Braun et Wulf Kirsten, ce qui permet de montrer comment cette poétique s’inscrit dans le contexte plus large de la poésie critique socialiste, de 1965 à nos jours
Through close textual analysis of selected pieces of Sarah Kirsch's work, this study aims to show that interrelated notions of subjectivity, nature and society are central to the dynamics of her poetry. The poems selected reflect how Sarah Kirsch gradually distanced herself from her early enthusiasm for the socialist utopia, seeking shelter in the great literary models of the past and finding refuge in an idyllic nature untouched by human hand. Finally, a comparison between Sarah Kirsch and three other authors of her generation – Günter Kunert, Volker Braun and Wulf Kirsten – demonstrates how her work fits into the wider context of socialist critical poetry from 1965 till today

A special kind of synaesthetic experience could be seen, heard and tasted at the lecture series back in 2019/2020 about the format »Works and Whiskies«, as very different tastes of Scotch whisky flavours were transformed into notes and pieces of music for contrabass clarinet by composer Petra Stump-Linshalm. These were rendered audible by musician Heinz-Peter Linshalm and found their visual equivalent in paintings by Jutta Goldgruber. Based on an interview with the artists, Sarah Chaker summarises in this article their thoughts towards this special kind of Musikvermittlung, which was retrospectively described by many of those present as particularly innovative and expedient.

Pengesahan UU No 21 Tahun 2013 tentang Keantariksaan menjadi sebuah batu loncatan dalam pembentukan sistem hukum keantariksaan di Indonesia. UU ini perlu ditopang oleh Peraturan Pemerintah dan peraturan lain di bawahnya untuk memperkuat eksistensinya. Dalam proses penyusunan, terdapat kebijakan untuk menggabungkan sembilan amanat RPP UU Keantariksaan ke dalam satu PP. Namun, dalam pengintegrasiannya banyak ditemui hambatan yang kemudian mendasari ide dilakukannya kajian ini. Permasalahan dalam tulisan ini adalah apa saja pertimbangan yuridis dan konsekuensi pengelompokan RPP sebagai amanat UU Nomor 21 Tahun 2013 tentang Keantariksaan ke dalam 1 RPP dan solusinya. Melalui pendekatan teori hierarki norma dan teori sistem hukum, UU Keantariksaan memiliki ruang lingkup luas, multisektoral, dan sarat dengan hal-hal teknis, sehingga diperlukan kehati-hatian dalam penyusunannya dan tidak dapat digabung ke dalam satu wadah peraturan, melainkan dikelompokkan ke dalam beberapa peraturan pemerintah, yaitu: (i) Peraturan Pemerintah Tentang Tata Cara Penguasaan dan Penjalaran Serta Perlindungan Teknologi keantariksaan; (ii) Peraturan Pemerintah Tentang Tata Cara Pembangunan dan Pengoperasian Bandar Antariksa; dan (iii) Peraturan Pemerintah Tentang Tata Cara Kegiatan Komersial Keantariksaan.

La granulación aerobia es una novedosa e innovadora tecnología utilizada para el tratamiento de agua residual; su primer reporte corresponde a Morgenroth et al. (1997), desde entonces, ha conseguido atraer el interés de los investigadores debido a su capacidad para conservar dentro del sistema un considerable número de microorganismos, rápida sedimentación y notable eficiencia de remoción y/o bio adsorción de una amplia gama de contaminantes. Es por esto, que ha empezado a considerarse como una tecnología con favorable relación costo/beneficio, puesto que permite tratar grandes volúmenes de agua residual en reactores más compactos (Ivanov, 2006; Nancharaiah y Kiran, 2017; Sarma et al., 2017; Sengar et al., 2018). Los gránulos aerobios son definidos como agrupaciones de microorganismos auto inmovilizados en esferas densas y compactas (Liu et al., 2008; Nancharaiah y Kiran, 2017; Sarma et al., 2017). Cada esfera de biomasa puede componerse de varias capas biológicas en función de la penetración de oxígeno, emulando diferentes microecosistemas (Khan et al., 2013; Liu et al., 2008; Nancharaiah y Kiran, 2017). Cuando se realizan investigaciones relacionadas con granulación, un lodo no adaptado a las condiciones de su nuevo medio, puede acarrear largos periodos para obtener los primeros resultados, esto a su vez representa gastos de recursos económicos, físicos y temporales, especialmente si se desconoce la capacidad de la biomasa para desarrollarse como gránulos aerobios. Algunos autores han propuesto métodos de cultivo basados en conceptos y experiencia anteriores (Tay et al.,2004b, Hailei et al.,2006, de Sousa Rollemberg et al., 2018); sin embargo, requieren de un uso considerable de recursos y su aplicabilidad se enfoca a sistemas de gran envergadura, además de no ser lo suficientemente claras o sencillas para su implementación. Basados en esto y en la necesidad de encontrar alternativas asequibles para facilitar y promover el desarrollo tecnológico de la granulación aerobia, se planteó y desarrolló un protocolo que permite determinar el potencial de granulación aerobia (PGA). El protocolo comprende un conjunto de parámetros y consideraciones que interactúan entre sí, para crear un medio controlado que además de estimular el agrupamiento de la población celular, permite evaluar mediante pruebas sencillas de sedimentabilidad y parámetros morfológicos de bajo costo y complejidad, su capacidad para formar gránulos. El protocolo PGA representa una herramienta de evaluación y toma de decisión, útil para diferentes escalas de aplicación. Su implementación es sencilla y relativamente económica, permitiendo obtener conocimientos de la posibilidad y capacidad de formación de gránulos aerobios de un lodo en un período significativamente menor en comparación con otros planteamientos reportados.

Abstract:
The potential for using eye-tracking as quantitative and objective tools for training and assessment has gained substantial attention across domain with high standards for safety [1]. The aim of this study is to synthesize results from previous reviews on eye-tracking support in training and assessment for work in complex socio-technical domains. In particular, the objective is to map out a) how eye-tracking is currently used in training and assessment, and b) the barriers and benefits of using eye-tracking reported in the literature. To answer the research questions, this study is designed as a meta-review, that is, a review of previous reviews or meta-analyses [2]. Since this study takes on broad re-search questions and aims to include different types of methodological contributions from various field to synthesize the state of knowledge between disciplines, a semi-structured review approach is chosen. Semi-structured approaches are suitable for mapping a field of research and synthesize the state of knowledge to set an agenda for future studies [3]. The approach takes on systematic search strategies but often lack the level of scientific rigour of systematic or scoping reviews. What is considered important for the semi-structured review method is a transparent and developed research strategy for the audi-ence to determine the worth and value of the chosen topic, method used and findings from the study [3]. In accordance with best practices, the study design is guided by the PRISMA-protocol for systematic reviews [4]. A search for literature was conducted in February 2021. Advanced search options for discriminating type of articles (reviews) and timespan (2010-2021) were used on three databases: Scopus, Web of Science and Science Direct. Using search words “eye tracking”, “simulator”, “training” and “assessment” when searching through article titles, abstracts and keywords, a total of 403 studies were identified. After removing duplicates, 373 studies were screened. Articles that didn’t meet the inclusion criteria or lacked an explicit focus on eye-tracking support in simulator training and/or assessment were excluded. In all, 20 full-text articles were assessed for eligibility. After reading full-text, 12 studies remained and are included in the meta-review. The results show how eye-tracking most commonly is used for 1) summative assessment of technical skills, 2) formative assessment of non-technical skills, 3) identifying differences between novices and experts, and 4) capturing expert gaze patterns. The results show how eye-tracking is appreciated as an unobtrusive technology that enables a quantitative assessment of objective parameters. Hence, the promise of using eye-tracking for informing instructional design as well as for designing training systems and improve learning environments is clear. However, it is important to consider that implementing eye-tracking is a rather expensive and time-consuming endeavour that requires carefully designed tasks and task analyses to fulfil its potential. Abstract:
Dentre os atendimentos na rotina da clínica médica, a dermatologia veterinária é uma área que vem apresentando crescimento, tanto em casos atendidos na rotina clínica quanto em investimentos da indústria farmacêutica. O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido com intuito de investigar a prevalência das afecções dermatológicas de origem parasitária de cães atendidos na Clínica Veterinária do Centro Universitário Ingá – Maringá-PR entre os períodos de janeiro/2016 a dezembro/2021. Através dos prontuários encontrados, realizou-se estudo estatístico com os dados, onde as principais dermatoses parasitárias encontradas foram a demodicose, escabiose e sarna otodécica, em que ocorreram predileções quanto à idade (<1ano), sexo e sinais clínicos.

Abstract:
The article is aimed to publish the field research results of 2013–2015 in the southern section of the necropolis of the ancient settlement «Belinskoye» in the eastern Crimea. The burials and other objects discovered here show that the southern section of the necropolis of the ancient settlement «Belinskoye» functioned at least from the second half of the 2nd to the 4th cc. AD and also in the Saltov period. The paper pays special attention to analyze the earliest burials with slots for overlapping in long grave walls. The only analogue burials of this type are now the earliest burials at the cemetery Neyzats located in the central part of the Crimean foothills. Having analyzed currently available material, the author comes to the conclusion on the existence of a separate group of Sarmat mercenaries in the 2nd century AD, during the active expansion of the Bosporan kingdom.

“Sinfonia para a Solidão” (Symphony for the Solitude) é um wearable que detecta a distância social entre o usuário e os demais corpos humanos, expressando-a por meio de estímulos táteis e auditivos. Dois sensores calculam a distância e a presença de indivíduos próximos. Se uma abordagem for detectada, a pele do(a) usuário(a) é estimulada pela vibração de micromotores e os sons são reproduzidos por um pequeno alto-falante acoplado ao wearable. O material que compõe a vestimenta é feito de bioplástico de tapioca, com inserção de folhas de chá de canela, cúrcuma e camomila desidratada, agregando uma camada de cheiros e texturas ao trabalho. A obra tem como objetivo discutir a solidão decorrente da necessidade de isolamento social devido à pandemia desencadeada pela COVID-19. Alerta a aproximação de outras pessoas ao emitir avisos sonoros. Ao mesmo tempo, conforta o(a) utilizador(a) com vibrações na pele e com o cheiro de ervas, que alude ao ambiente privado protegido e à comida caseira. É uma sinfonia de estímulos para abordar as consequências físicas e psicológicas do distanciamento social, bem como alertar sobre o perigo da contaminação do vírus, que ocorre principalmente pela proximidade e contato direto entre as pessoas. O processo criativo para a concepção e design do wearable ocorreu no contexto de políticas de distanciamento social. Portanto, o desenvolvimento do experimento foi altamente influenciado pela cultura “Do It Yourself” (DIY) e pelas informações compartilhadas pela comunidade on-line. A parte técnica da peça foi construída na plataforma open source Arduino, e a investigação do bioplástico de tapioca foi influenciada pela receita compartilhada por Rafaela Blanch Pires e Helena Kussik, da AdaLab/UFG (Universidade Federal de Goiás/Brasil). O uso do bioplástico da farinha de mandioca (tapioca) é ecologicamente correto e também reflete como a herança alimentar brasileira pode influenciar as novas artes midiáticas. O experimento foi desenvolvido durante uma pesquisa de doutorado, que teve como foco a pesquisa de processos multissensoriais por meio da associação de arte, ciência e tecnologia. O objetivo principal da investigação foi identificar as contribuições da arte para o tema. Os resultados sugerem que os artistas podem fazer isso expandindo esta pesquisa em diferentes contextos sociais, culturais e políticos. “Sinfonia para a Solidão” foi criada neste quadro e está relacionada com uma série de experiências artísticas que investigam a percepção multissensorial através do desenvolvimento de wearables, como “Spiel”, de Peter van Haaften e Michael Montanaro (2019), “Neoteny”, de Hui Sim Chan (Sim) (2018) e “SHE BON”, de Sarah Petkus (2018-). A relação entre teoria e prática foi explorada por meio de levantamento bibliográfico sobre o tema em contextos científicos e artísticos, bem como pela análise de obras de arte e pelo desenvolvimento de experiências poéticas. Este processo híbrido de pesquisa resultou em um diálogo estreito entre as referências artísticas e teóricas.

Starting from the observation that nowadays, the need to operate in a world described by Horney et al. (2010) as a world characterized by its volatility, uncertainties, complexity, and ambiguity has become more evident than ever, we aim at identifying and reveal the need for a ceaseless VUCA model. During the last decade, the term VUCA has easily migrated in other areas, being transformed into a common expression due to rapid change manifested in the technological, political, financial, and administrative fields (Sarkar, 2016). In this context, we have analyzed the existing VUCA models and proposed the n+1 version of them. Within the current stream of events, including Brexit and especially the COVID-19 pandemic, the way managers addressed the ever-changing business environment has become less efficient in the current disruptive type of period we are facing. Therefore, the VUCA 2.0 model was developed. The model comprising the same acronym is based on the following elements: vision, understanding, courage, and adaptability (George, 2017). But, in the last years, technology has accelerated the VUCA world and, in 2020, the VUCA 3.0 popped out (Day, 2020). As the results of the analysis pointed out, the incredible pace and amplitude of change, together with the associated disruption in the way businesses are managed, call for the constant development of a never-ending VUCA n+1 model. With a wider spread of automatization, cyber systems, and artificial intelligence, a new VUCA model will soon be necessary. This framework invites the reader to think not only about a potential but to a factual infinite sequence of VUCA models.

This technical note encompasses Haiti's gender assessment, evaluates the success of gender specific actions implemented between 2011-2017, and presents a Gender and Transport Action Plan (GAP). The GAPs main aim is to guide investments in Haiti's transport sector in conceptualizing and designing gender-sensitive transport projects. By proposing specific gender actions and outcomes, the GAP establishes a clear path to integrate a gender dimension into operations design, implementation and, monitoring and evaluation. The GAP presents an overall plan to support the development of Haitian women. However, it focuses in the needs of women as transport services users and devotes specific attention to two female sub-groups, comprised by Haitian women engaged in informal trade of local and regional products. These women are known as Madan Sara (MS), and local female mango producers and traders (MPT). The decision of focusing on MS is related to their vital role in the Haitian local labor market and the peculiarity of their work, which has specific transport needs. Understanding and addressing these female groups transport constrains could strategically improve the outcomes of upcoming transport investments and bring more benefits to its beneficiaries.
