MONARCHIA E MONASTERO NEL MEZZOGIORNO: L'ABBAZIA DI SANTA SOFIA, BENEVENTO E LA STAUFENL'articolo esamina i rapporti del monastero di Santa Sofia con i Re del regno di Sicilia dal 1189 fino a dopo la morte del Re Manfredi nel 1126. Sebbene Benevento fosse una città indipendente, regolata dal Papa e non dal Re, l'estensione dei possedimenti dell'Abbazia nel regno portò, inevitabilmente, ad avere con esso rapporti assai importanti. Santa Sofia ha guadagnato benefici per il suo sostegno ad Enrico VI durante la conquista del regno. Lo studio si concentra su quelle terre a lei cedute dall'imperatore come premio dell'appoggio ricevuto, e in particolare sulla baronia di Finicchio. Federico II negli anni 1220 sostenne e difese gli interessi dell'abbazia ma, necessariamente, i problemi finanziari e i contrasti tra il Papa e l'imperatore dopo il 1239 misero in seria difficoltà Santa Sofia e portarono alla alienazione di gran parte della sua proprietà. Finicchio, posseduto da uno dei principali avversari di Manfredi, fu preso e ceduto ad uno dei parenti del re. Nè questa, nè altre proprietà donate o cedute da Enrico VI furono recuperate dopo il 1266, ed infatti le terre di Santa Sofia non furono mai più ricostituite su quella base patrimoniale che era esistita agli inizi del XIII sec. In Appendice sono pubblicati 6 documenti inediti.

<p>Greenhouse tomato production uses structures that protect crops from extreme environmental conditions; however, the climate inside Colombian greenhouses is often not optimal and crops are susceptible to attack by fungal diseases. The use of simulation models for early warnings of attack by diseases have helped to rationalize the use of chemical pesticides by increasing their efficiency when sprayed at critical times of disease onset. The aim of this study was to calibrate the surface wetness energy balance (SWEB) model to estimate the leaf wetness duration (LWD) for greenhouse tomatoes in the Alto Ricaurte province (Boyaca). For the validation, the performances of the SWEB model were evaluated by comparing a simulated LWD with records from dielectric leaf wetness sensors. The model adequately represented the phenomenon of free water on the leaves for plants in two greenhouses of Santa Sofia and Sutamarchan. The model simulated an average LWD of 9.9 and 12.1 hours day<sup>-1</sup> in Santa Sofia and Sutamarchan, respectively. However, the simulations for the two greenhouses indicated different behaviors, with average differences between the observed and simulated daily number of hours with free water of 0.8 h for Santa Sofia, while, for Sutamarchan, the difference reached 4 hours. The fraction of correct estimates index indicated the model had the ability to correctly predict 92 and 72% of the hours with a presence or absence of LWD in Santa Sofia and Sutamarchan, respectively. The SWEB model is a useful tool for early warnings for the attack of fungal diseases in greenhouse tomatoes. However, due to the shortcomings of the greenhouse structures used for production, the crops are highly susceptible to attack from these pathogens.</p>

Abstract:
This article discusses previously undocumented examples of music for the old Beneventan divine office in a manuscript housed in the Archivio Storico Diocesano in Naples (Cod. Misc. 1, fasc. VII). The breviary, which was copied at the scriptorium of Santa Sofia, Benevento, in 1161, transmits two unica—canticle antiphons for the feast of St. Mercurius—in Beneventan style. It also preserves a Beneventan-style antiphon for the Holy Twelve Brothers of Benevento that is not transmitted in previously published sources of Beneventan chant. The discovery of music in Beneventan style for St. Mercurius is of importance to the history of the old Beneventan rite, as it attests to the continued production of the distinctive formulaic style of the Beneventan rite into the later eighth century. The relics of Mercurius, a military saint of Byzantium, were enshrined at the altar of Santa Sofia at Benevento in 768, and Mercurius was adopted as patron of the court, the church of Santa Sofia, and the city of Benevento. Despite the establishment of the cult of St. Mercurius in the second half of the eighth century, until now no musical record has indicated the presence of old Beneventan music for this feast (there is no extant Beneventan mass proper for Mercurius, and the documented sources for the divine office preserve only Romano-Beneventan or neo-Gregorian-style music). I consider the St. Mercurius antiphons within the context of the musical style of the old Beneventan rite and argue that they should be included in the Beneventan canon on the basis of musical style. As pitch-specific exemplars of the distinctive formulaic style of the Beneventan chant, this source is of particular value to the study of Beneventan pitch and modality. Notated in fully heightened Beneventan neumes on a staff line, these antiphons are among the few surviving witnesses of the old Beneventan repertory that preserve the distinctive modal properties of the repertory in pitch-specific notation. I introduce the music of these antiphons and consider their importance as witnesses to the continued production and copying of Beneventan music from the late eighth to the twelfth centuries.

Abstract:
La interpretación electrocardiográfica con relación a la lesión anatómica de pacientes con infarto agudo de miocardio es motivo de inquietud importante por la alta tasa de morbimortalidad. Objetivo. Describir los resultados del trazado electrocardiográfico al establecer una correlación con la angiografía coronaria, en pacientes con Infarto Agudo de Miocardio atendidos entre enero del 2000 y enero del 2007, en el Hospital Santa Sofía E.S.E., en Manizales, Caldas, Colombia.Materiales y métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo, con base en la revisión de 38 historias clínicas, y se evaluaron variables electrocardiográficas y coronariográficas.Resultados. De un total de 33 pacientes con enfermedades arteriales detectadas por la coronariografia (13 de la descendente anterior, 14 la coronaria derecha, 2 dela circunfleja y 4 de la coronaria derecha), 18 no evidenciaron hallazgos específicos a nivel del EKG, lo cual corresponde a un 59.4% del total. Conclusiones. Los hallazgos del estudio se relacionan con lo encontrado en la literatura, en especial en cuanto a la caracterización de las variables, sin embargo eneste estudio se especifica más respecto a la correlación para enfermedad de arteria coronaria derecha y de arteria descendente anterior.

Abstract:
The Amazon basin is undergoing processes of global change that threaten one of the planet’s greatest sources of biological and cultural richness. Among different conservation strategies, indigenous reserves play a key role by reducing the impact of factors such as the deforestation caused by the expansion of the agricultural frontier. Despite the demonstrated importance of these indigenous territories, there is a lack of studies evaluating their contribution to the regional diversity in Colombia, especially for invertebrate groups. By surveying indigenous territories for the first time in the Amazonas department, we investigated the army ant fauna inhabiting different land use types: forests; “chagras” in different stages of regeneration; and pastures. In a sampling plot that represents just 0.0014 % of the department’s area, four genera and eight army ants species were recorded, representing 47 % of known species in the Amazonas department and 18 % in Colombia. Our sampling revealed three new records for the department and Neivamyrmex diana as a new record for the country. Mature forests harbored six species, while the chagras system retained up to five species. Notably, when placing our results in a national context, we revealed several country regions and departments (e.g., Córdoba, Sucre, Vaupés) that presented limited or no information on army ant diversity. Our results provide justification for the continuous evaluation, monitoring and conservation of indigenous reserves, based not only on their demonstrated cultural and ancestral importance but to their potential to retain high biodiversity.

In February 1382 Franceschina Grimani took as her husband Giacobello Trevisan, son of Stefano. A few months later, in May, another young noble girl, Franceschina Querini, married Bernardo Giustinian, son of the prosperous nobleman Orsato Giustinian. Despite the similarities shared by these two Venetian brides, one important factor separated them. Franceschina Grimani's father was Nicolò Grimani of Santa Sofia parish. According to the estimo of 1379, Nicolò's real wealth totaled approximately 30,000 ducats, making him one of the wealthiest men in Venice. In contrast, Franceschina Querini's father Marco possessed only 2,000 ducats in real wealth according to the same estimo. Despite the huge disparity between the economic fortunes of these two fathers of the bride, both of their daughters brought equal dowries of 1,000 ducats to their marriages.

Esta dissertação tem por objeto a escravidão na economia cafeeira do Vale do Paraíba mineiro durante a segunda metade do século XIX. A análise parte do estudo de uma fazenda, a Santa Sofia, durante o período compreendido de 1850 a 1882. Nesta quadra, a fazenda pertenceu a Camilo Maria Ferreira Armond, Conde de Prados em 1881. A pesquisa pretende tratar, com base nesse foco espacial e temporal específico, um elenco de temas que vêm sendo explorados pela historiografia brasileira nas últimas décadas: a composição demográfica da escravaria da fazenda em tela; a organização do seu processo de trabalho (o que envolve o estudo das estratégias de controle empregadas pelo fazendeiro bem como das estratégias de resistência dos escravos); a organização do processo de produção do café (técnicas agronômicas e de beneficiamento dos grãos); a organização espacial da fazenda; as relações do fazendeiro com o mercado cafeeiro do Rio de Janeiro; finalmente, os impactos da crise da instituição da escravidão, na década de 1880, sobre as relações escravistas na fazenda.
The object of this dissertation is the slavery in the coffee economy in the Paraiba Valley during the second half of the 19th century. The starting point is a property, the Santa Sofia, during the period between 1850 and 1882. During this time, the property belonged to Camilo Maria Ferreira Armond, Count of Prados in 1881. Based on these special and temporal focus, the aim is to approach a range of themes that are being investigated by the Brazilian historiography on the last decades: the demography of slavery; the organization of the Santa Sofias work process (including the study of the control strategies employed by the farms owner and also the slave resistance); the organization of the coffee production (agronomical techniques and coffee processing); the spacial organization; the relations between the producer and the coffee market in Rio and, finally, the impacts of the slavery crisis in the 1880s.

Abstract:
El presente trabajo de investigación, ha permitido comparar los indicadores, que miden la capacidad funcional de la familia bajo un enfoque sistémico, luego de identificar y analizar, en estudiantes de los colegios “Nuestra Señora del Rosario” y “Santa Magdalena Sofía” de Chiclayo. El tipo de estudio, es descriptivo, cuantitativo, se aplicó a estudiantes el cuestionario del APGAR familiar. Diseñada por el doctor Gabriel Smilkstein (Universidad de Washington), y validada en Chile en 1987 por Maddaleno, Horwitz, Jara, Florenzano y Salazar. Los resultados nos indican, la proporción de familias que requieren apoyo inmediato en el colegio SMS es significativamente superior a la correspondiente proporción en el colegio NSR. La proporción de familias en las que hay una probable disfunción en el colegio SMS es significativamente superior a la correspondiente proporción en el colegio NSR. La proporción de familias en las que hay funcionalidad en el colegio SMS es significativamente inferior a la correspondiente proporción en el colegio NSR. Se sugiere realizar estudios de la capacidad funcional familiar, para poder detectar que familias tienen necesidad de apoyo inmediato, y derivarlos a un Psicólogo u otro especialista, porque las consecuencias son funestas, llegando a la depresión y finalmente al suicidio. En lo relacionado a la proporción de familias en las que hay una Probable disfunción, es importante tener en cuenta este aspecto, para prevenir una probable disfunción familiar. De igual manera, la proporción de familias que presentan Funcionalidad, es importante tener estos datos, para ver qué porcentaje lo presentan y comparar con los que tienen Necesidad de ayuda y en aquellos en donde hay una Probable disfunción.

Abstract:
La presente tesis estudia la portada de Santo Domingo de Soria, una de las parroquias románicas urbanas más interesantes de la Península Ibérica. El análisis se ha realizado desde una perspectiva globalizadora que abarca la historia, la historiografía, la arquitectura y la escultura. Para llevar a cabo la monografía se ha examinado el contenido iconográfico de las imágenes en relación con los textos y en comparación con otras obras de la misma esfera artística; de la misma manera, se han estudiado los estilemas así como su relación con ciertos talleres de los reinos peninsulares.
La investigación pone de manifiesto que la iglesia soriana pertenece a una tradición hispana, de manera que la explicación de la tipología de la fachada no se entiende únicamente por la filiación francesa. El templo es el resultado de la ampliación de un edificio anterior a 1148, y de la construcción de la segunda mitad del siglo XII la parte más interesante es, sin duda, la fachada. Los ciclos escultóricos de su portada resultan ser de los más completos que se conservan en la actualidad, y además el programa permite profundizar en algunas de las principales preocupaciones de la Iglesia hispana (la doble naturaleza de Cristo y la Trinidad). El tímpano muestra una de las cinco representaciones escultóricas de la Paternitas trinitaria que existen en todo el contexto románico, un peculiar Tetramorfos portado en el Seno de los ángeles y dos personajes en los laterales. Mientras tanto, en las arquivoltas y capiteles se desarrollan varios relatos bíblicos que completan el asunto central, se trata del Génesis, Hechos de los apóstoles, Infancia, Pasión y Gloria. Aunque las escasas conexiones de algunas particularidades temáticas y compositivas no se explican más que por el conocimiento de modelos bizantinos, varios aspectos apuntan a que en ciertas dependencias silenses se encontraban temas similares.
Los artistas sorianos proceden del foco oxomense y su estilo es fruto de una tradición hispana localizada en Castilla con conexiones interesantes sobre todo en Aragón y Navarra. Tanto en iconografía como en estilística, Santo Domingo se engloba en las tendencias del momento y los paralelos establecidos con las principales canterías indican que en torno a 1170 pudieron llevarse a cabo las obras de la fachada.
Compendio entre los conceptos de Silos, el estilo de Osma y los temas de Bizancio con aportaciones puntuales de otros centros peninsulares, la importancia de Santo Domingo se refleja en las múltiples conexiones que se establecen a partir de un análisis riguroso del conjunto.
The present doctoral thesis studies the doorway of Santo Domingo in Soria, one of the most interesting urbain parishes in the Iberian Peninsula. The analysis has been done from a global perspective that includes history, historiography, architecture and sculpture. In order to prepare the monograph the iconographic mean of images has been examined in relation to the texts and in comparison with other works in the same artistic sphere; in the same way the stylistic features and their links with certain ateliers in the peninsular kingdoms have been studied.
The investigation shows that the Sorian church belongs to a Spanish tradition, in such a way that the explanation of the façade tipology cannot only be understood by the French connection. The temple is the result of the enlarging of the building before 1148, and the most interesting part of the reconstruction during the second half of the twelfth century is, without doubt, the façade. The sculpturing cycles of its doorway are one of the most complete preserved at the present time, and also the programme lets us go into some of the main concerns of the Spanish Church (the double nature of Christ and the Trinity). The tympanum shows one of the five figural reliefs of the trinitary Paternitas that survives in all of the Romanesque context, a peculiar Tetramorph held in angel's breast and two figures placed in the laterals. Meanwhile, several biblical stories that complete the central theme (Genesis, Acts of the Apostles, Infancy, Passion and Glory) are developed in the ornamental archivolts and in the capitals. Although the scarce connections of certain peculiarities of form and theme aren't explained better than by what we know of Byzantine models, there is sufficient evidence to suggest that in certain silesian dependences there have been similar themes.
The Sorian artists came from El Burgo de Osma focus, and their style is the fruit of a Spanish tradition that is located in Castile with interesting connections in Aragon and Navarre. Iconographically and stylistically Santo Domingo reflects the tendencies of the moment and the parallels that have been established with the main ateliers suggest that around 1170 the façade could have been carried out.
Understood among the silesian's concepts, the Osma's style and the byzantine's themes with certain contributions of other peninsular centres, the importance of Santo Domingo is reflected in the multiple connections that can be established by a rigorous analysis of the whole.

Determinar la presencia de la disfunción temporomandibular en niños Hiperlaxos. Se realizó un Estudio cuantitativo, prospectivo, de corte transversal y descriptivo; en la institución educativa Santa Sofía de Israel de enseñanza primaria del distrito de Ventanilla en el año 2014, de un total de 233 estudiantes se evaluó la hiperlaxitud articular mediante los criterios de Beigthon quedando 78 y a ellos se les aplicó el Índice Anamnésico, Simplificado de Fonseca para determinar la presencia de disfunción temporomandibular. De los 233 estudiantes del nivel primario de las edades de 6 a 11 años se ha determinado que 78 presentan hiperlaxitud articular, encontrándose que el 69,23% presentaron disfunción temporomandibular. La presencia de la disfunción temporomandibular en niños hiperlaxos representa más de la mitad (69,23%) en relación a los que no tienen esta disfunción; siendo ligeramente mayor en el sexo femenino (70%) que en el sexo masculino (68,4%) siendo mínima la diferencia entre ambas. Las edades de 9 y 10 años donde se encontró una cantidad mayor siendo el 88.9% de 9 años y 85.7% de 10 años, contrario a ello sucede a los 11 años con 33.3%. En cuanto al grado de la disfunción de 78 estudiantes se encontró que el grado leve (51,3%), el grado moderado (17,9%), grado severo no se encontró caso alguno, en relación al porcentaje del grado de disfunción el “leve” es el más alto.

Abstract:
El presente trabajo de investigación, ha permitido comparar los indicadores, que miden la capacidad funcional de la familia bajo un enfoque sistémico, luego de identificar y analizar, en estudiantes de los colegios “Nuestra Señora del Rosario” y “Santa Magdalena Sofía” de Chiclayo. El tipo de estudio, es descriptivo, cuantitativo, se aplicó a estudiantes el cuestionario del APGAR familiar. Diseñada por el doctor Gabriel Smilkstein (Universidad de Washington), y validada en Chile en 1987 por Maddaleno, Horwitz, Jara, Florenzano y Salazar. Los resultados nos indican, la proporción de familias que requieren apoyo inmediato en el colegio SMS es significativamente superior a la correspondiente proporción en el colegio NSR. La proporción de familias en las que hay una probable disfunción en el colegio SMS es significativamente superior a la correspondiente proporción en el colegio NSR. La proporción de familias en las que hay funcionalidad en el colegio SMS es significativamente inferior a la correspondiente proporción en el colegio NSR. Se sugiere realizar estudios de la capacidad funcional familiar, para poder detectar que familias tienen necesidad de apoyo inmediato, y derivarlos a un Psicólogo u otro especialista, porque las consecuencias son funestas, llegando a la depresión y finalmente al suicidio. En lo relacionado a la proporción de familias en las que hay una Probable disfunción, es importante tener en cuenta este aspecto, para prevenir una probable disfunción familiar. De igual manera, la proporción de familias que presentan Funcionalidad, es importante tener estos datos, para ver qué porcentaje lo presentan y comparar con los que tienen Necesidad de ayuda y en aquellos en donde hay una Probable disfunción.

Determina los conocimientos y prácticas del autoexamen de mama en mujeres de 15 - 35 años que acuden al C.S Santa Magdalena Sofía. Asimismo se sabe que una de las funciones principales de la enfermera es la de impartir sus conocimientos y realizar actividades que contribuyan a mantener la salud del individuo, familia y comunidad. El tipo de estudio es cuasi experimental de corte transversal ya que nos permite estudiar la variable en un tiempo y espacio determinado; se utiliza como técnica la entrevista y como instrumento un cuestionario, el cual es aplicado a una muestra de 60 mujeres. Los resultados son, las mujeres encuestadas sobre autoexamen de mama, el 58.3% tienen un nivel alto de conocimientos, el 23.3% nivel medio y el 18.3% un nivel bajo. En prácticas del autoexamen de mama, el 73.3% tienen prácticas adecuadas y el 26.7% inadecuadas.
