Abstract:
3D printing or additive manufacturing (AM) is considered to be the most important technology among the emerging technologies. 3D printing technology is considered as an alternative to the conventional manufacturer machine traditionally used in the manufacturing sector. 3D printing technology is generally classified into seven types. Each type of 3D printing technology has its separate own uniqueness (i.e., operation, material usage, and no wastage). The price of a manufactured item includes all its costs. The most important of these is to take into account the price of the machine being manufactured and the features of the machine. Moreover, the price of the product produced in AM will depend on all the costs required to produce it. Then, it is possible to reduce the cost of the product by choosing the AMM that has significant features and the right price. Therefore, this paper aims to solve a decision-making problem from the AMM selection by using one of the multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) tools, i.e., analytical hierarchy process (AHP). This paper outcome is meant to meet the expectation of end-users. As an initial step, the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) company gets quotations from some AM companies to choose a type of AM machine known FDM for its structure product and doll product. The first step is to select the most appropriate machines based on cost, size/volume, extruder type, and weight of the machine. Criteria for AHP are derived from decision-makers. Also, in AHP, the pair-wise matrix is obtained from the decision-makers by answering the standard Saaty’s scale criteria questions. In this paper, such a selection method is explored. The outcome of this paper may vary depending on the expectations of the decision-makers. The end of this paper helps to choose the AMM with the right price and features to suit the decision-makers.

Abstract:
This article examines the use of a weighting scheme with a multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) process to improve the CARVER center of gravity analysis that is currently used by Special Operations Forces. We employ Saaty’s Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) pairwise comparison method to obtain initial decision maker weights for the decision-making process as an example for a generalizable mission. Firstly, we show the standard current CARVER method, as outlined in FM 34-36. Next, we apply several MADM methods using our suggested AHP weighting scheme to obtain the rankings of the alternatives. We compare the results and provide sensitivity analysis to examine the robustness of each MADM analysis. We conclude that any decision methodology for CARVER that includes a weighting scheme by each decision maker is better than not using any weighting scheme.

Abstract:
Water scarcity due to increasing urbanization and population in urban and rural areas makes necessary planning for artificial groundwater recharge. Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information System (GIS) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) are advantageous tools to delineate the Groundwater Potential Zones (GWPZ) in arid and semi-arid areas of India. An aggregate of eight thematic layers affecting groundwater potential of the area were assigned appropriate weights dependent on the Saaty’s 9 point scale. These weights were normalized using AHP technique to delineate the GWPZ. About 2.30km2 shows very good groundwater potential (GWP), 162.10km2 shows good GWP, whereas 127.78km2 and 1.45km2 are under moderate and poor GWP, correspondingly. The structural hilly terrain located in the Eastern and Southern parts has a poor groundwater potential due to higher degree of slope and low permeability of clayey soils. This study can be helpful to identify the GWPZ of drought-prone zones useful for planning and development with integrated water resources management.

Abstract:
The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which was developed by Saaty is a decision-making tool in the year of 1970s. The system is able to solve the complex analysis which could not be performed by the human brain. In this project, the AHP system is chosen to select a better insulating oil for power transformer oil application since the insulation is the most important part of a transformer. In this research method based on the AHP technique, there are six criteria are involved in the model, namely breakdown voltage, dissipation factor/tan delta, pour point, kinematic viscosity, density, and flash point. While, the given alternatives are palm oil, canola oil, palm fatty acid ester (PFAE) oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, and soybean oil, respectively. A spreadsheet software application (Microsoft Excel) was employed in this study. As the result, it is found that the PFAE oil is the best insulating oil that able to be used in a real power transformer oil application. All requirements as insulating oil for transformer oil of PFAE oil are met significantly.

Abstract:
In this work, rather than relating different areas of knowledge, the authors make use of logic, which is intrinsic to mathematical models. They discuss one of the fallacies that hides behind the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). In particular, the analysis of the consistency index, sometimes referred as the Saaty consistency or simply the consistency, will be discussed. The AHP is based on three fundamental axioms: reciprocity, homogeneity, and synthesis. However, it gives a great relevance to consistency, which is managed like a fourth axiom. On each of these four axioms, some comments will be made. However, this work will focus mainly on discussing the importance of the consistency index, to which, undoubtedly, a large number of essays and many hours of work have been devoted. In trying to answer the question, the calculation of consistency is really important. The aim of the paper is to raise a discussion of one of the fallacies that hides behind the analytic hierarchy process and present a simple and direct way to handle Saaty consistency.

Abstract:
The conservation and sustainable advancement of soil and water assets is one of the fundamental standards for improvement of arid and semi-arid regions of India. The present study is underway to evaluate the Artificial Groundwater Recharge Zones (AGRZ) in the semi-arid region of Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, India using Remote Sensing (RS), Geographical Information System (GIS) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique. The comparative weights were assigned to different thematic layers with the help of the decision making tool of AHP. A set of eight thematic layers influence groundwater potential (GWP) is determined based on their corresponding weights, which depend on a Saaty’s 9 points scale. These weights are normalized using AHP technique to identify the AGRZs. Five AGRZs were recognized as very low, low, moderate, good and very good, depending on its suitability to identify the sites for groundwater recharge. About 4.29 % (8.96km2) and 17.70 % (36.95km2) area in the region show very good and good potentials of artificial groundwater recharge, respectively. On the other hand 61.59% (128.60km2), 11.94% (24.94km2) and 4.48 % (9.35km2) area showed moderate, poor and very poor potentials. Overall accuracy of AGRZ map is 82.05%. 92 check dams, 19 percolation tanks and 7 check walls were found suitable in the region. The effectiveness and prediction ability of the method depends on integrity of the criterion used. AHP based methodology can be useful for precise and reliable analysis and predictions of groundwater in semi-arid regions of India.

Abstract:
A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of printing quality was established by using the method of fuzzy evaluation and analytical hierarchy process(AHP).The main parameters which influence printing quality were analyzed. The factor set to constitute fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was confirmed. The structure of analytical hierarchy was established by analyzing different plans, which influences printing quality evaluation. Comparison judgment matrixes were constructed by pairwise comparison of each factor using Saaty 1-9 scales. The weights of every factor were determined by calculating the feature vectors of comparison judgment matrixes and the consistency test. Finally the printing quality hierarchy was evaluated by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and according to maximum membership principle. The result indicated that the model objectively determined the weights of parameters which influence printing quality, subjectively evaluated the printing quality hierarchy, and realized the unification of subjective evaluation and objective evaluation.

Sistem pemesanan yang digunakan menggunakan sistem make to order. The Analytical Hierarchy Process is a very common method used in Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) to analyze participative assessments. However, due to the qualitative nature of this methodology, a high percentage of inconsistencies need to be addressed when analyzing user preferences. This work analyzes the efficiency of the Goal Programming model in order to reduce inconsistencies with pairwise comparisons when working with inexpert participants and time limitations. A case study has been carried out that assesses online courses in higher education with the Analytical Hierarchy Process in order to understand the usefulness and feasibility of the method. Evaluation of four e-learning tools (collaboration tools, content tools, tutorial sessions and evaluation tools) used in an online business degree were collected from 72 students through a ‘Saaty-type’ survey, and the model was applied to improve the consistency of these results. This model has been able to minimize the inconsistencies of individual preferences while avoiding the loss of primary information.

Abstract:
The present study illustrates the application of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to a decision-making problem. AHP is a popular and powerful method for solving multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. An attempt is made here to initialize the use of multicriteria decision-making methods for ranking alternatives that curb student absenteeism. Through the expert opinions, the criteria that cause student absenteeism are identified and the criteria hierarchy was developed. The relative importance of those criteria for Indian environment is obtained through the opinion survey. Alternatives that curb student absenteeism in engineering colleges like counseling, infrastructure, making lecture more attractive, and so forth were collected from literature, journals' surveys and experts' opinions. Alternatives are evaluated based on the criteria, and the preferential weights and ranks are obtained. The experts' opinions are validated by Saaty's inconsistency test method. “Involvement of parents” is the best alternative given by the group of experts. Parents have to know their ward's day-to-day progress in college. The second best alternative is “counseling,” as many criteria that cause student absenteeism are reduced by counseling.

Abstract—SIM card provider is the center of mobile telecommunication such as telephones, texting, Internet or Blackberry messenger. Lately, the SIM card business development is be marked more kinds of SIM card offered by the provider company with various brands, features and facilities. This causes consumers find it difficult to choose the SIM card that suits their needs such as the phone call need, texting need, Internet and Blackberry package, and bonus that the consumer wants. From the problems above, consumer need a decision support system that can gives SIM card recommendation which suits the consumer’s needs. The SIM card provider decision-making selection can be complex because of the multiple purposes of consumer. One of the tools that are suitable to use for SIM card sorting priority is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) that is developed by Thomas L. Saaty. The final result from this thesis is a system of SIM card provider selection decision-making support which suits with the consumer’s needs. The system is tested with data collection by using questionnaire, which aims to obtain data that is more accurate about the usefulness of the system that has been created. Data collection are through the 30 respondents who tried the system from the user side and 5 respondents who filled out questionnaires from the administrator side. The results of the data collection and analysis of data collected declare that this system has its deficiency, especially the difficulty of priority weighting of both.

In the presented paper to solve the problem was used the "Analytic Hierarchy Process" method developed by Tomas L. Saaty. AHP is one of the most popular analytical techniques for complex decision-making problems. In this method a decision-making problem decomposes into a system of hierarchies of objectives, attributes (or criteria), and alternatives. Then to obtain optimum solution uses judgements of experts with a special scale for measuring non-quantitative and method of establishing priorities.

Abstract:
Aim. objective of the work is an attempt to optimize the model of the girls' football training system in Poland, taking into account the current economic and political conditions and the possibility of using the multi-criteria method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as an innovative technique in solving problems in sport. Material and methods. The AHP method by T.L. Saaty was used to solve the decision problem. For the purpose of this study, a group of girls’ football experts (trainers) was set up, who made comparisons based on a specially prepared questionnaire. The collected data was analysed using the Expert Choice program. Findings. The analysis of priority values pointed to the criteria, which should be particularly considered during the process of training girls in football. These include, in order: condition preparation (0,-414), profession (0,-274), recruitment and selection (0,-118), to a lesser extent, material structure (0,-058) and the training base (0,-031). In the criterion of fitness preparation according to experts, the largest share falls on: the effectiveness of shots per goal, andequally: speed of decision making, knowledge, explosive strength and running speed, whilethe smallest share regards the attribute of oxygen efficiency and flexibility. In the criteria, the number of scored goals scored, the rank of the competition, the warnings and the number of matches in the season were indicated in first place. In the next criteria, which concerned recruitment and selection, the respondents pointed to: state of health, intellectual abilities, biological development, general fitness, somatic structure, emotional stability, psychological predisposition and interest in sport. An equally important criterion in the sports training system is renewal. In it, the most important are: nutrition, resistance to diseases and injuries, the ability to quickly regenerate, supplementation, physical therapy and pharmacological treatment. One important criterion, but indicated further, is the material structure. To a large extent, it consists of: psychological, technical, tactical preparation, motivation for continuous improvement. The last criterion, which has a share in the effectiveness of training, is training base. The largest share of the four sub-criteria includes: individualization of training, monitoring training and social security, and in last place, grouping. Conclusions. 1. The AHP method is useful for defining priorities in developing a sports training system for young football players.

Abstract:
This study aims to create a model for rating and evaluation the ethical behaviors that education administrators will use in decision-making processes by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is one of the modern decision support systems. The research used the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, one of the modern decision support systems developed by Saaty (1980), which allows the joint analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. The data collection instrument for the study is the Ethical Leadership Scale developed by Ylmaz (2006). Research data were collected from 15 school administrators and teachers working in Kartal, Pendik, Maltepe, and Sultanbeyli districts on the Anatolian side of Istanbul province during. The purposive sampling method was used to determine the study group. The ethical behaviors identified using the sub-dimensions of the scale were compared in pairs and ranked according to their importance. The results revealed that the most important ethical behaviors managers should have in all their values and behavioral ethics are truthfulness and honesty. In the dimension of environmental ethics, managers are expected to create the freest environments, while managers are expected to be the fairest in the dimension of communication ethics. Managers are expected to have these values and apply them in their lives. When managers make decisions in the management process, they should act rationally and consider the ethical dimensions of the decisions.

Abstract:
Decision Support System is an interactive computer-based system that helps decision making by utilizing data and models to solve unstructured problems. Basically, DSS is designed to support all stages of decision making, from identifying problems, selecting relevant data, determining the approach used in the decision-making process, to evaluating the selection. AHP is a decision support model developed by Thomas L. Saaty. This decision support model will describe complex multi-factor or multi-criteria problems into a hierarchy, the hierarchy is defined as a representation of a complex problem in a multi-level structure where the first level is the goal, followed by the level of factors, criteria, sub criteria, and so on down to the last level of alternatives. With a hierarchy, a complex problem can be broken down into groups which are then arranged into a hierarchical form so that the problem will appear more structured and systematic. In order to compete with several similar companies, PT. Sumber Alfaria Trijaya must be able to provide optimal service not only for consumers, but also for staff and employees in order to work optimally. To be able to answer these challenges, the technology used must be able to balance the need for it. Because this company is engaged in retail, problems will arise either in the store, in the warehouse or in the system used. With a hierarchy, a complex problem can be broken down into groups which are then arranged into a hierarchical form so that the problem will appear more structured and systematic.

Abstract:
The article deals with the formulation of the problem of assessing conflictological competence by means of mathematical modeling. An analysis of existing definitions of this concept is provided. Conflictological competence as the most important feature of a manager’s professionalism is a complex concept that assumes the presence of theoretical knowledge about the possible ways to work with a conflict, a certain set of skills for their practical application and the necessary personal and professional qualities for effective conflict management in the interests of the organization. Conflictological competence of a leader can be defined as an integral assessment of the degree of achievement of goals at the stages of conflict management: the readiness of the leader to prevent conflict, conflict resolution and overcoming its negative consequences. The content model of the conflict is considered as the basis of modeling. To translate this model into mathematical language, the analitic hierarch process (AHP) by Thomas L. Saaty, which has its own software Super Decisions, is used. As a result of the use of AHP, the relative degree of interaction of elements in the hierarchy, the priorities of alternatives and the optimal solution are determined. In the article on the example of conflict in an organization, AHP is used to assess the conflictological competence of the leader. The proposed analytical toolkit can be effectively utilized by experts, managers and decision makers to assess conflictological competence.

Abstract:
Soil erosion is a serious environmental threat amongst the prevailing major natural hazards which affects the livelihood of millions of people around the world. The deterioration of nutrient-rich topsoil can affect the sustainability of agriculture and various ecosystems by decreasing soil productivity. Conservation measures should be implemented in those regions which are critical to soil erosion. The identification of areas susceptible to soil erosion through prioritization of watershed can help in proper planning and implementation of suitable conservational measures. Therefore, in this study, the prioritization of 23 micro-watersheds present in the Dnyanganga watershed of Tapti River basin is carried out based on morphometric parameters and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). TanDEM-X 90m openly accessible DEM generated from SAR interferometry, obtained through DLR, is used for determining the morphometric parameters. These parameters are grouped into linear, areal and relief aspects. Initially, the relative weights of various morphometric parameters used in TOPSIS were determined using Saaty’s Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Thereafter, the MCDM package in R software was utilized to implement TOPSIS. The micro-watersheds were classified into very high (0.459–0.357), high (0.326–0.240), moderate (0.213–0.098), and low (0.096–0.088) prioritization levels based on the TOPSIS highest closeness (Ci+) to ideal solution. It is evident from the results that micro-watersheds (MW10, MW18, MW19, MW2, MW11, and MW17) are highly susceptible to soil erosion and thus, conservation measures can be carried out in these micro-watersheds with the priority to ensure the sustainability of future agriculture by preventing excessive soil loss through erosion.

Abstract:
The main goal of this research was to establish a spatial model for identification of suitable land for cotton in Punjab, Pakistan through evaluation of multidisciplinary variables by applying geographic information system (GIS) and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach. In this model, rivers were used as constraint and seven factors were temperature, soil physical and chemical properties, soil pH, aridity classes, agro-ecological zones, and river command area. On the basis of these parameters suitability maps were generated. By pair-wise comparison matrix (PWCM) of AHP, weights were extracted by means of principal Eigen vector by Saaty’s method, with accepted consistency ratio of 0.09. Multi-criteria evaluation (MCE) employing weighted linear combination aggregates all suitability maps to generate final suitability map. It was found that more potential sites exist along with existing cotton practiced area. The result provided important information for farmers to establish linkage between policy decisions andregulatory actions and to improve agricultural land management.

Now a day’s purchasing one car among the verities of model of car available in the market are very difficult task to the customers. Day by day various technical and operational parameter specifications like price, yearly maintenance cost, millage, breaking efficiency, comfort etc. are changed. Therefore, to overcome this confusion some selection procedure techniques are required. TOPSIS and AHP is the one of them selection procedure technique are adopted for this problem. These two techniques provide a base for decision-making processes, where there are limited numbers of alternatives but each has large number of criteria. It is very difficult to understand for all the demands of customer and to make a product which will fulfill the all demands completely. For the complicated decision making problem including qualitative and quantitative factors, different decision making techniques such as AHP and TOPSIS can also be used with MCDA for better results. In this research work the customer’s priorities are explored, while purchasing a four wheeler automobile segment using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). In this study, different criteria to be considered during purchasing of four wheeler using structured questionnaire which based on SAATY scale. From the calculations, it is proved that FORD (ASPIRE) is ranked as best and appropriate alternative which has extremely good breaking efficiency compared to Volkswagen (Vento), Toyota (Etios), Hyundai (Verna), Nissan (Sunny), Honda (Amaze) and Tata (Nexon).

Abstract:
Production systems are continually surrounded by bottleneck problems that limit their overall performances. The petroleum industry today faces a lot of challenges which border on production bottlenecks that tend to limit production throughput and hence output. The purpose of this study is to provide a decision support strategy for refinery operators and mangers as well as other stakeholders. The multi-criteria models used were the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Test of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). A 9-point saaty scale and 10-point linguistic scale questionnaires were used to elicit responses from experts in the refinery. The statistical computations with the Multi-criteria Decision Model were carried out with the aid of (AHP -OS) BPMSG software on nine criteria which are bottleneck variables which impact on refinery operations and the comparison was made by nine decision makers who are refinery experts while TOPSIS was used for alternatives selection. The result of the AHP showed the contributing weights of individual criterion with “Government Interference” ranking first, exerting a weight of 19.84%. The result also generated a normalized total matrix which is approximately one (1), consistency index of 0.09694 and a consistency ratio of 0.06685 which is within acceptable limit and finally from TOPSIS modeling, “Denationalization” with the highest value of 0.7598 was found to be closest to the ideal solution for the optimal refinery performance. This study has developed a multi-criteria decision model for selecting the best alternative for optimal performance based on inputs from experts and this provides a veritable framework that serves as a decision support strategy for policy makers and stakeholders in the operations of the refinery.

Abstract:

Geographic Information System (GIS) was integrated with Group Analytic Hierarchy Process (GAHP) to facilitate the simulation of flood likely areas based on a total number of five set of criteria/factors believed to be triggering flood generation in the study area. Two categories of experts namely hydrologists and geologists were considered. Saaty’s 1-9 scale of preference was employed in rating each factor’s influence in flood generation and the ratings from the experts were aggregated using a Geometric Mean method. Having done with the aggregation, priory weights of the factors were calculated; weights were further normalized through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The result was further integrated into GIS system for spatial simulation of the likely flood areas. The result forecasted 39.1% of the total area to be very highly susceptible to flooding. Validation was carried out by superimposing the known flood extent map from radar satellite data over the flood forecasting model developed herein.

Abstract:
Benchmarking is a method to improve performance and improve company competitiveness. This method has been commonly practiced by large companies and has recently been extended to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, the implementation between large and SMEs is very different. These differences are debated as an impact of company characteristics, specifically differences in the ability to develop and improve business. Typical SMEs face tough challenges to overcome their resource constraints. This limitation affects the decisions of SMEs in choosing their comparison partners. This research was conducted to fill the research gap regarding the use of the Benchmarking method and the AHP approach to SMEs, especially in determining Benchmark partners using the AHP approach. The use of benchmarking and AHP is illustrated by using SME objects that are engaged in the fashion sector, namely UKM Cotton.Go. The problem faced by UKM Cotton.Go is marketing communication that is not effective in creating sales so it needs to be determined benchmarking partner in making improvements to marketing communication. The use of AHP in determining benchmark partners helps SMEs to find out which benchmark partners have the best marketing communication performance.

Abstract:
Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) refers to a decision-making method that decomposes the elements related to decision-making into goals, criteria, plans, and other levels and performs qualitative and quantitative analysis. Ecotourism is one component of sustainable tourism. Due to ecotourism activity, ecotourism links the reserved area with local residents and tourists. The aim of this research is to identify the proper ecotourism activity in Diaoluo Mountain National Nature Reserve with the help of the AHP method. The motivation behind the use of AHP is its widespread use in the decision-making process of selection of suitable candidate or alternative spot for tourists’ activity in the domain of ecotourism. The result shows that the most suitable ecotourism activity is “visit and experience life in the original ecology villages of Li and Miao ethnic minorities with a guide.” The proposed AHP decision-making method has effectively been used to select ecotourism activity based on multiple criteria evaluations.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Sistem pendukung keputusan kegiatan rekrutmen karyawan baru.

Abstract:
There are significant differences in terms of price formation between cotton growers and yarn producers. While cotton growers prioritize the average yield per hectare and ginning yield in price formation, yarn producers pay attention to properties such as fiber fineness, fiber length, tensile strength, etc. Therefore, even if a cotton grower produces a large amount of cotton per hectare, the monetary value may be lower. This study aimed to determine the most suitable type of cotton for optimal profitability and quality yarn production for both producers, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for decision-making. AHP is a method that analyzes decision-making processes in an analytical and hierarchical structure. AHP helps to determine the best selection by evaluating the factors of a decision, assessing their relationships and priorities. In this study, among the 13 cotton types registered by the Eastern Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute, the most suitable cotton selection based on criteria such as fiber fineness, fiber length, tensile strength, average yield per hectare, and ginning yield was determined using AHP.
