Abstract:
Rural women are the most marginalized communities in Indian society. They have been denied from mainstream social and economic development which affects overall economic growth. Many welfare policies are being launched and executed in favor of rural people and women, who have been historically marginalized. They continue to be plagued by various issues such as unemployment, poverty, poor health and so on. Rural women, in particular, have poor health status, despite its links to their productivity and human capital. In this aspect, WHO defines that “better health is central to human happiness and well-being. It also makes an important contribution to economic progress, as the healthy population lives longer, is more productive, and save more”. Rural women have limited access and opportunities to make use of health care policies. Rural women face various kinds of problems such as maternity, mother feeding, reproduction, malnutrition and sanitation which are directly affecting GDP. The major objectives of this study are to identify the awareness of key health issues related to women and children in rural areas and to find out the perception of women about the various government schemes and initiatives for tackling health issues in rural areas.

Abstract:
A significant proportion of people live and work in rural areas, and rural mental health is important wherever psychiatry is practised. There are inherent difficulties in conducting rural research, due in part to the lack of an agreed definition of rurality. Mental health is probably better in rural areas, with the exception of suicide, which remains highest in male rural residents. A number of aspects of rural life (such as the rural community, social networks, problems with access, and social exclusion) may all have particular implications for people with mental health problems. Further issues such as the effect of rural culture on help-seeking for mental illness, anonymity in small rural communities and stigma may further affect the recognition, treatment and maintenance of mental health problems for people in rural areas. Providing mental health services to remote and rural locations may be challenging.

Abstract:
Rural women in Australia have reduced access to health and illness-management services, live in more hazardous environments, and yet describe themselves as healthier than urban women. These contradictions illustrate some of the consequences of different ways of measuring health. Data based on presentations to hospital for episodes of illness management, within a conceptual framework of biomedicine which has been developed with little input from women, presents one picture of the health of a community. Data based on asking women what is going on provides another picture. These different pictures highlight the distinction between health and illness management. This article introduces the reader to rural culture, considers some of the epidemiological evidence about the presentation of illness and mortality for rural women, summarises the outcomes of research and consultations with women, and concludes by making recommendations about effective ways to enhance rural women's health through service delivery.

Abstract:
This paper describes the opportunities for promoting collaborative research and improving rural health care delivery by the implementation of REDCap software. In the era of advanced technologies, rapid development and dissemination of electronic health data may be possible. Health data are accessed by collaborating researchers in various academic disciplines through the Internet. Community-based approaches to health care delivery through the mobile health clinics may be integrated into the development and utilization of databases through REDCap to improve rural health. Multifunctional features of REDCap provide useful tools in various stages of health care delivery planning that support both research and operational endeavors. The authors will discuss potential usage of REDCap using an existing mobile health clinic in South Central Kentucky as a primary source of data, and describe how health data may be used in conjunction with REDCap with the goal of improving the health of rural communities in South Central Kentucky.
