Abstract:
The multiple roles individuals face, especially in modern families, often lead to role conflicts that can affect individual satisfaction and well-being. Role conflicts can arise between work, family, and school roles, resulting in high work stress. This study aims to analyze the effect of work-family conflict and work-school conflict on turnover intention and the role of work stress as a mediating variable in the relationship. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to students who worked and had multiple roles as parents. The results showed that role conflict between work-family and work-school positively and significantly influenced the intention to change jobs. In addition, work stress was also found to be a mediating variable mediating the relationship between role conflict and the intention to switch jobs.

Abstract:
The Yemeni conflict is complicated due to the numerous internal crises and disputes in the country. In addition, the external correlations and their linkages to the internal actors have increased the intensity of the conflict. There is a need to identify these internal and external actors and analyze their role, impact, strengths, and weaknesses. This study identifies the internal and external actors of the conflict in Yemen, then examines their roles and impact and shows that the conflict resulted from internal conflicts between local actors and took on different dimensions through regional and international interventions. The political, ideological, and self-interest differences are the causes of the disunity among the elites and the political and military forces, and in turn, they led to the exacerbation of the conflict and the negative role in peacemaking. Abstract:
Teleworking from home gives workers some degree of temporal and spatial flexibility, and at the same time, poses some consequences in terms of conflicts from the demands, requirements, expectations, and behaviors from the forces associated with both work roles and family roles. This integrative literature review investigated the conditions or forces that are responsible for the bi-directional inter-role conflict and the outcomes of the conflict when employees are teleworking from home, by synthesizing new and grey literature about work-family conflict and home-based teleworking. The forces from the work and family systems which are organizational, personal, spatial, temporal, technological, psychological, and familial are the crux of the work-to-family conflict and family-to-work conflict as they either cause friction or smoothness to the transition from work roles to family roles and vice versa during home-based teleworking. The forces either act as catalysts or inhibitors during the transition from work (family) roles to family (work) roles. The findings from this review were synthesized into the work-family roles dynamics model by incorporating concepts from physical sciences. The work-family roles dynamics model provides insights into the transition of home-based teleworkers and the work-to-family conflict and family-to-work conflict that ensue in the work and family systems. This article also offers a definition of work-family conflict based on knowledge from the synthesized literature. The work-family roles dynamics model posits new explanations about teleworking from home and bi-directional inter-role conflict. The work-family roles dynamics theory yields new ideas and questions for future research and implications for human resource management.

Abstract:
In 1977 Somalia invaded Ethiopia hoping to seize the Ogaden, an Ethiopian region predominantly inhabited by ethnic Somali. Histories of this event are rare and focus exclusively on the political and military aspects of the conflict. This is not surprising given the Cold War backdrop of the conflict. This article, however, shifts the focus away from the political towards the personal. Focus here is on the different roles Ogadeni women took up in the Somali-Ethiopian war, also known as the Ogaden war. Through interviews with former actors in the conflict it became clear that women occupied a range of roles in the war, varying from victims or care-givers to active participants in militias and front-line combat. In conflicts today, Somali women still retain many of these roles. Originally some Somalis did oppose this state of affairs, today most seem to have accepted the phenomenon of female actors in the Ogaden war, even though that approval can be linked with a political agenda. Both Ogadeeni and Somali women were active in the war, transcending Somali clan lines along the way. Accounts of the women interviewed illustrate the effects of their choice to participate in the Ogaden war.

Abstract:
Madagascar has experienced various episodes of conflict since the colonization period. Despite the solutions local and external actors implemented, conflict recurs. Metanarratives such as socialism, communism, capitalism, and liberalism greatly impacted the conditions explaining the dynamics behind such recurrences. How did metanarratives contribute to the creation of more peaceful (de-escalating roles) or conflict situations (escalating roles)? With the help of Qualitative Comparative Analysis, this article identifies and studies the metanarratives influencing and being influenced by the following: a) conflict dimensions, b) the framing of the conflicts by the actors involved, c) the construction of the images of the self/the other, d) the accommodation policies (the solutions implemented to address the incompatibilities between the actors), and e) the repertoires of action. It argues that metanarratives play significant roles in transforming a conflict in both constructive and destructive ways.

The conflict between work and family roles has been widely studied. However, recently, research has progressed to study roles outside of work and family. For example, several researchers have investigated the conflict between work and educational roles. However, this study focuses on the occurrence of burnout. Thus this study seeks to contribute to the literature on work-education conflict in two main ways. First, we investigate the relationship between work study conflicts and the occurrence of burnout. Furthermore, to prove the role of social support from friends as a moderating variable. Participants in this study were 81 students. The results of this study support our proposed hypothesis.

Today many parents have multiple roles. This study examined how personality, domain-specific stress, and work-family interference are interrelated. Questionnaire data of 276 Dutch dual-earner couples with young children were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings demonstrated that job stress and parenting stress were positively related to work-to-family conflict and family-to-work conflict, respectively. For women, additionally, family-to-work conflict was strongly associated with increased levels of job stress. Finally, emotional stability functioned as an indirect predictor of work-family interference by decreasing the levels of job stress and parenting stress for both genders, but in distinctive ways. The use of couple data and inclusion of personality showed a valuable extension of existing models linking work and family.

Abstract:
In developed countries, conflicts between environmental interests and agricultural emissions can not be avoided. Within the legal formal perspective, it is often assumed that all environmental conflicts are solved through the legal-formal system. In reality, however, the conflict between environmental concern and agricultural practices is complicated by wide variety of interests and mere legal formal approaches will not be adequate to solve them. This conflict as it relates to nitrate emissions will be referred to herein as the ‘nitrate conflict’. The role of civil society, in this case the Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations (ENGOs), are often neglected in the nitrate conflict management. This study will document and analyze nitrate con.ict management in the Netherlands and Flanders Belgium, on the roles of ENGOs regarding the issue. Moreover, the research will emphasize the important role of ENGOs in civic engagement in developing democratic and just environmental management.

Abstract:
This paper discusses the phenomenological approach in the context of conflict resolution. Phenomenology transforms the traditional view of conflict by delving into a profound understanding of its roots, values, emotions, and the perspectives of individuals involved. In this approach, conflict is seen as a social phenomenon involving individual or group awareness, empathy, sympathy, and collective consciousness. The importance of understanding subjective meanings and individual experiences in conflict is emphasized as the key to effective conflict resolution. The conflict resolution process from a phenomenological perspective involves steps of identification, diagnosis, and treatment designed to uncover and comprehend the conflict's roots comprehensively. The role of the subjects in this process is crucial, as they must possess the ability to empathize, see from various perspectives, and facilitate effective communication. In conflict resolution methods based on the phenomenological approach, reduction also becomes a key element, involving efforts to cleanse understanding from biases and assumptions before taking action. Introspection is also vital, helping subjects become more aware of their roles and contributions in the conflict. The phenomenological approach enables us to resolve conflicts in a more profound, holistic, and sustainable manner. With a deeper understanding of conflict's roots and the emotions involved, we can develop more effective solutions and integrate various perspectives contributing to the conflict.

Abstract:
The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) publishes several academic and professional publications, including Heritage at Risk World Reports. These reports examine heritage properties at risk globally, showing the trends and sharing recommendations. The role of local communities (LCs) and local resources (LRs) in safeguarding built heritage in periods following conflict has been highlighted by academics and international organisations. However, there are few research studies examining the indicators of the roles of LCs and LRs, which can depict the priorities in such circumstances. A systematic review (analysis) of this ICOMOS publication in a post-conflict context has yet to be undertaken. This method is utilised to identify key indicators of both elements in the context of post-conflict safeguarding of built heritage. The systematic review using content analysis and keyword frequency classified 69 post-conflict cases (countries) and identified significant LC and LR indicators. The findings reveal that the community’s awareness of built heritage and the availability of local experts are the most significant indicators for the LC and LRs, respectively. Both the LC and LR roles have a strong correlation in periods following conflicts. In addition, within the ICOMOS reports, results show a growing emphasis on post-conflict situations since the first volume. This study contributes to providing a shared vision regarding the roles that LCs and LRs can play in safeguarding built heritage following conflicts. Through analysing related policy documents, future research could investigate a policy-led perspective for safeguarding built heritage following conflicts.

Abstract:
Media studies on Niger Delta (ND) conflict discourse have largely utilized stylistic, pragmatic, and critical discourse analytical tools in exploring media representation of news actors and ideologies in news texts but have not accommodated such issues as participants’ roles and cognitive relations in the discourse. This paper analyses the contexts of ND conflict news reporting with a view to revealing not only the participant’s role relations involved, but also the lexico-semantic resources they are characterized by. Forty newspaper reports on ND conflicts (20 from four ND-based newspapers— The Tide, New Waves, The Pointer and Pioneer, and 20 from four national newspapers— The Punch, The Guardian, Vanguard and THISDAY), published between 2003 and 2009, were sampled and subjected to discourse analysis, with insights from van Dijk’s context models and aspects of relational semantics. Four types of role were identified, viz. interactional (embracing the participants in conflict), communicative (relating to the production roles), social (involving group membership), and instrumental (dealing with the entities utilized in actualizing specific goals). The cognitive foci of these roles are associated with participants’ goals and beliefs, and these inform the participants’ position and hence role in the conflict events. Linguistically, the interactional and social roles are marked by synonymous and converse lexical items, while the communicative and instrumental roles are indexed by homonymous and antonymous lexical features. The findings corroborate the fact that there is an interaction between participant roles and cognitive relations in the ND conflict events reported in Nigerian newspapers.

Abstract:
This study is undertaken to critically underline the role of government in managing the conflicts, most notably the federal government of Somalia. The undergone research also discusses the prolonged Somali conflict and options for the conflict resolutions with the available roles for the federal government of Somalia during any conflict. The study finds that the previous conflict resolutions of Somalia were unsuccessful as most of the conflicts exist till today. The role of federal government is limited to the Somali peace processes and conferences with the ethnic motivated perceptions. As a result, the study concludes that the federal government of Somalia is perceived by the public as involved in the conflicts. Thus, in order to eliminate the prolonged Somali conflict, it is suggested to formulate strong federal agencies to prevent any possible conflict in future, besides employing community based conflict resolution mechanisms.

Abstract:
The concepts of ‘leadership’ and ‘inclusion’ continue to attract much attention in educational discourses; however, not many studies have explored their connection in schools serving conflict-affected communities where displacement and fragmentation of families risks the access, participation and achievement of many young people in education. This single intrinsic case study with aspects of ethnography was conducted in one post-conflict community primary school in Kenya, following the 2007/8 post-election violence. Overall, the aim was to understand the connection between school leadership and inclusive education practices, with interest in the schooling experiences of conflict-affected children. Following an integration of reviewed literature and findings emerging from the entire study, this paper specifically examines how roles for school leadership can be understood in relation to developing inclusive practices for conflict-affected pupils in post-conflict schooling. Three core thematic issues emerged, suggesting that these roles involved: mediating ‘post-conflict conflicts’; fostering ‘socio-moral connectedness’, and engendering aspects of ‘indigenous leadership practice’ in school. These roles were fundamental in reversing community disintegration and repairing moral distortion. Besides contributing to knowledge in the developing field of education and conflict, this study highlights the joint social, moral and professional investment made by headteachers and teachers in repairing violence-torn societies.

Working mothers who just had their first child face major changes in aspects of their life. Workingmothers have two roles that must be fulfilled in their daily life, being a mother and a worker. Thedemands of these roles often create pressures that cause conflict within the mother herself.Conflicts that occur within herself are called intrapersonal conflicts. This study aims to overviewintrapersonal conflicts and perceived social support in mothers who return to work after havingtheir first child. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with semi-structuredinterview methods involving two participants who work professionally and have their first childaged 0-18 months. The results of this study indicate that there is an intrapersonal conflict in theroles of mother and worker. The type of conflict that arose in the two participants was the type ofmultiple/double approach-avoidance conflict in which the two alternative choices, working andcaring for children, both had negative and positive values for the participants. Both participantsstated that the existence of social support from people around them, can help participants dealwith intrapersonal conflicts when they have to work leaving their children.

Hence, we used a sample size of 1897 players from different sport modalities, 1378 male and 519 female. Participants filled a questionnaire to assess self-determination level and other to measure conflict between social roles. Results showed that utility of sport was positive and significantly associated with self-determined motivation, whereas conflict between roles was related with amotivation. Moreover, male athletes showed higher scores in all types of motivation that refer Self-Determination Theory, being the group that perceived the greater incompatibility between sport and other social roles according to their growth age. As a conclusion, we emphasize the necessity to promote intrinsic motives of practice in both sex to increase commitment with the sport activity, and avoid sport dropout that might be happened because of the demands of other contexts that surround young athletes.Key words: Conflict between roles, self-determination, sport practice, scholar age, genre.

Abstract:
It is a challenge for each individual who carries out more than one concurrent role in his life (Dual Role) as experienced by Pamulang University Students. Roles need to be aligned and strategies need to be implemented to avoid problems. Problems such as work, family and college conflicts have the potential to occur. This study aims to determine work, family and college conflicts and explore various strategies to overcome conflicts used by Pamulang University students in carrying out multiple roles. Qualitative research methods were used for this research. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. Respondents who became the subject of this study were determined through three criteria. The collected data were analyzed and concluded. Research results Work, family and college conflicts experienced by Pamulang University students are caused by pressure in lectures such as, lecture materials, coursework, lecture time, time to do college assignments, tuition fees, missing lecture information, forgetting to do college assignments, problems knowledge. While the pressure at work such as, a lot of work volume, complex work that requires extra brain performance, short time to complete work, infrastructure that is considered lacking, the presence of a leader who does not fit, co-workers who are less comfortable, canteen menus that are considered inadequate. expensive. In addition, the dual roles that are carried out simultaneously also cause their own pressure, for example the pressure to complete work and college assignments at the same time. Various strategies taken by students in carrying out multiple roles in order to minimize conflict and even to resolve conflicts and can lead students to achieve the desired goals. The strategy adopted is adjusted to the type of conflict that exists. Every conflict, pressure requires resolution separately or not the same between one pressure with another pressure. Keywords : Work Life Balance, Multiple Roles

Abstract:
Purpose – This study aims to investigate scholars’ roles in resolving environmental community conflict, as environmental community conflict is becoming an increasingly serious problem in contemporary China, and it explored the underlying factors and mechanisms that influence successful conflict resolution. Design/methodology/approach – Based on a combination of three types of sources – interviews, participant observation and existing literature, the study compared and contrasted 35 cases through a two-stage study project with 25 environmental community conflict cases in the first stage and ten non-environmental cases in the second. Findings – Results indicate that scholars serve seven roles in community conflict resolution: identification persons for potential sources of community conflict and supporters for the people who evaluate conflict problems before attempting to solve them; advisers for conflict protagonists; leaders of many knowledge-related activities; organizers of entrepreneurial activities for other community members; information brokers between community members and other stakeholders; representatives of the government, firms, community members and other stakeholders; and self-interested participants. While scholars’ participation is important for resolving community conflict, their actions are often not effective. Successful community conflict resolution involving scholars must satisfy eight underlying factors: local scholars’ sustained participation; high capacity; improvement on the organizational level of community members; emphasis on high efficiency knowledge and information transmission; effective finding and use of the community’s social capital; continual optimization on their action strategies; obtainability of some benefits; and non-local scholars’ sustained external support through social capital. The more closely these rules are followed, the more successful scholars’ participation in community conflict resolution will be. Originality/value – The findings have practical implications for improving the effectiveness of scholars’ participation in community conflict resolution in contemporary China and even in other countries.

Abstract:
The growing number of armed conflicts in Africa has impacted adversely on women who fall victims to violence, sexual abuse and harassment. Women play a minimal role as combatants during the armed conflicts and as peace negotiators after the armed conflicts. This article looks at the role women play in the pre-armed and post-armed conflict phases in an African context. Data for this article were gathered through questionnaires distributed to twenty women officers who participated in the Joint Senior Command and Staff Programme (JSCSP) at the South African National War College. The findings make it evident that women often participate unwillingly as combatants in an armed conflict; they face social changes in the post-armed conflict phase that make their roles change in both their families and communities, and often neglected in the postarmed conflict negotiations and conflict resolution processes.

This study aims to explore the relation between conflict in the project team and user resistance to change in software projects. Following a cross-sectional research design, a survey was conducted among 1,000 largest companies in Slovenia (N = 114). The results of PLS-SEM analysis indicate that task and process conflicts in the project team are associated with user resistance. This study is among the first to associate conflict within the project team and user resistance in the implementing organization. It is also one of the first studies to investigate the relations between different types of conflict and user resistance. Project managers may invest resources into adequately managing conflicts within the project team related to tasks in which the project team interacts with users of developed software to lower user resistance. Project with poorly defined roles (e.g., agile and information security projects) may be more prone to user resistance than projects with clearly defined roles.

Abstract:
Professional work can be a source of many difficulties, which can be reflected in the professional sphere, but which can also have an impact on a person's family life. The aim of this paper is to examine the impact of work-family conflict among healthcare professionals and healthcare associates in healthcare institutions in the municipality of Ćuprija. The research was designed as a cross-sectional study conducted in the healthcare institutions of the Ćuprija Primary Healthcare Center, the Ćuprija General Hospital and the Pomoravlje Institute of Public Health, on a sample of 601 employed healthcare professionals and healthcare associates, during 2020. To assess the work-family roles conflict, the conflict of work and family roles scale was used, which examines two dimensions of the work-family conflict: the work-family conflict and the family-work conflict. Statistical processing of data was performed in the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 25.00) software package. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to examine the correlation between the research variables, while parametric techniques were used to examine the differences between the research variables: the t-test and the ANOVA. The respondents show a slightly more pronounced level of the work-family conflict, and a lower level of the family-work conflict. Statistically significant differences were found in terms of the intensity of dimensions of the work and family roles conflict (work-family and family-work) in relation to age, work experience and the respondents' professional status. More emphasis should be placed on researching the issue of work-family conflict in order to implement appropriate preventive measures to reduce the existing conflicts.

Abstract:
This article examines how the Maoist conflict in Nepal affected women ex-combatants and non-combatants, looking at shifts in gender roles during and after the conflict particularly from the standpoint of current livelihood challenges. We argue changing gender roles largely depends upon everyday practice of gender division of labour and power as it evolved during and after the conflict. We also found the conflict had different and contradictory effects: Both categories of women experienced shift in gender roles, with women taking on tasks earlier reserved for men, but this effect was strongest amongst ex-combatants during conflict. In the aftermath of conflict, these changes were partly reversed and especially ex-combatant women faced severe livelihood challenges and returned to traditional gender roles. The article also considers how women experience state and non-state responses meant to improve their livelihoods security in the post-conflict setting. The article is based on in-depth fieldwork in Chitwan and Kathmandu districts of Nepal. It draws on interviews with women ex-combatants/non-combatants and key informant interviews.

Abstract:
Abstract. The study of the roles of men and women during violent conflicts and postconflict situations has traditionally restricted the experiences of women to those of victims, and those of men to violent perpetrators. This paper adopts a feminist constructivist approach to explore how traditional gender discourses have sustained the victimisation of women and the association of violence with men in the roles of aggressors and protectors. Throughout the case study of the Rwandan genocide, this research illustrates gender stereotypes tend to ignore on the one hand the role of women as violent perpetrators, and on the other hand, the victim status of men during conflicts. This study attempts to show experiences of Rwandan women were not limited to those of victims, but they planned and participated in genocidal violence and abuses. Additionally, and also contrary to traditional gender discourses, Rwandan men compromised the first targets of violence during the conflict. This thesis concludes that a broader and deeper understanding of conflict studies and ultimately world politics can be acquired by challenging traditional gender discourses, and investigating and recognizing the multifaceted experiences of women and men in conflict and post-conflict situations. Keywords: victimisation, violence, masculinity, femininity, “beautiful souls”, “just warriors”, passivity, agency.

Abstract:
Purpose This study aims to investigate how the strength of ties (i.e. strong ties and weak ties) in megaproject networks influences project performance in terms of types of conflicts. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire survey was undertaken with professionals in Chinese megaprojects and 445 valid responses were received. A conflict-based theoretical model was developed and tested with structural equation modeling. Findings The results indicated that task conflict had a constructive effect on project performance, whereas relationship conflict and process conflict had destructive effects. Both strong and weak ties positively affected project performance, and that weak ties exerted greater effects on performance. The introduction of conflicts significantly weakened the effect of strong ties on project performance. Strong ties indirectly affected project performance via task conflict and relationship conflict, whereas weak ties affected performance only through task conflict. Task conflict had a constructive effect on project performance, whereas relationship conflict and process conflict had destructive impact. Research limitations/implications This study identified the positive effect of strength of ties on project performance as well as the constructive and destructive roles of conflicts. Furthermore, the findings provided evidence that strength of ties and conflicts were critical factors for project performance. While, there are still limitations. There are other attributes of megaproject networks, such as network nodes’ characteristics and network structure, which may influence conflicts and project performance. Future research would be conducted to explore the role of these variables. Meanwhile, because different types of conflicts may mutually transform under certain conditions, future research would also address this issue in megaprojects. Practical implications As for the management strategies, project stakeholders should know the existence of project networks, exactly assess their resource endowment, especially their external and internal relationship network. In accordance with changes of the project network, stakeholders should share knowledge and learn techniques about how to respond to relationship disturbances, thus reducing relationship conflict and process conflict. Furthermore, stakeholders should place an emphasis on fostering and reinforcing communication and trust, thus effectively resolving task conflict, ambiguity and uncertainty engendered from network ties in a megaproject network. Originality/value The main contribution of this study is threefold. First, this study will enrich the literature on strength of ties by accentuating the roles of conflicts in megaproject context. Second, this study contributes to the theoretical development of a conceptual model for explaining the interrelationships among strength of ties, conflicts and project performance. Third, this study will respond to the call “which dimension, i.e. strong ties or weak ties, is more influential” by exploring the direct and indirect effects of strength of ties on project performance.

Abstract:
This study focuses on watershed management in Northern Thailand, where conflict over forest, land and water-use is a prevailing problem. A characteristic of watershed conflicts is that they are often multifaceted and involve multiple stakeholders with different interests and values, consequently requiring conflict management approaches that are sustainable in their outcomes, including addressing the underlying causes of the conflicts. Drawing from a case study in Mae Tia Mae Tae watershed in Northern Thailand, this study explores how mediation by external third party can contribute to the transformation of conflicts in the watershed and how the broader institutional contexts in which the conflict is embedded shapes the mediation outcomes. The study suggests that co-creation of mutual understanding and recognition of each party’s socio-cultural differences, including land-use practices, are critical in building trust and in how conflict transformation processes moved forward. Moreover, the ability of the mediator in facilitating the establishment of a deliberative institution (i.e. a watershed network committee) and agreed rules on forest utilization were also critical in maintaining long-term collaboration in the watershed and potentially preventing other conflicts arising in the future. Some issues, however, may threaten the continuity of the cooperation and sustainability of peace in the watershed, including the lack of structural reform that formally recognizes local people’s rights, insecure land tenure, and the absence of legal recognition for the watershed network committee as a legitimate mechanism for watershed decision making. The paper discusses these findings by comparing it with those from our previous studies in other locations (Cambodia, Indonesia and Western Thailand) to strengthen the insights from Northern Thailand. Finally, the research puts forward some recommendations for reforms and to strengthen the use of effective mediation, to achieve transformative outcomes, in conflicts of this nature. iation, to achieve transformative outcomes, in conflicts of this nature.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to explain how contractual complexity, including contractual control, coordination and adaptation, makes a difference to the task and relationship conflict, and then, to investigate the moderating roles played by both, total interdependence and interdependence asymmetry, in altering the association between the two types of conflicts. Design/methodology/approach This study obtained data through a questionnaire survey in the Chinese construction industry and the final sample consisted of 232 responses. The data were analysed using hierarchy analysis using SPSS. Findings The results are as follows: first, higher contractual control and coordination reduce the level of relationship conflicts, and higher contractual coordination also reduces the level of task conflicts; second, task conflict positively affects relationship conflict; third, task conflict mediates the relationship between contractual coordination and relationship conflict; and finally, when total interdependence is higher, task conflict induces more relationship conflict. On the contrary, high interdependence asymmetry weakens the positive relationship between task and relationship conflicts. Practical implications This study highlights the importance of contracts in conflict management. The findings can guide practitioners in drafting suitable contracts to deal with task and relationship conflicts more effectively. Originality/value This study differentiates the effects of distinct components of contracts on task and relationship conflicts, and then reveals the contingent effects of interdependence on the relationship between task and relationship conflicts in inter-organisational transactions.

Abstract:
The combination of job and marriage is a heavy burden on men and women, and these multiple roles can be a cause of stress and suffering in men and women, the stress of personal relationships with others, how this affects the end of the day, the father's interaction with family members, At the end of the day that is full of demands and workload, to the behavioral and emotional withdrawal in their interaction with their children, so that their conflict with their children and their spouses increases after exposure to work to create stress resulting from their interaction with others. The current research was aimed at identifying: 1-measuring the conflicts of the roles employees. 2-To identify the significance of the statistical differences according to the gender variable (male – female). The current research was determined by the staff working in the Iraqi ministries and related departments in Baghdad governorate for the year 2015-2016. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher built the scale of the conflicts of the bilateral roles of (30) paragraphs, and then the scale was applied to the sample of the research (100) ) Was employed in four ministries, where the discriminatory force of the scales was extracted and it became apparent that there were two non-distinguishing paragraphs (8, 16). Stability has been derived by means of a half-split method using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Thus, the number of paragraphs on the scale of conflicts of bilateral roles has reached its (28) final form. The research reached several results, including: 1-The conflicts of the roles of the binary members of the sample research is higher than the average satisfactory. 2- There are significant differences in the conflicts of the binary roles of the research sample according to gender variable and in favor of males. Abstract:
Background: Work–family conflict (WFC) and Family–work conflict (FWC) are likely to exert negative influences on an individual’s mental health, resulting in lower life satisfaction and greater internal conflict at work-family interface. Existing literature on WFC ignores the teaching profession, despite it being a universal phenomenon. This study expands on WFC & FWC occurring in the lives of female teachers, with special mention of psychological distress and wellbeing of the working women. Methods: The main objectives of the study were to compare WFC with FWC among married teachers of urban Meerut and to assess various factors associated with them. It was a cross-sectional study conducted in schools of urban block of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on 384 teachers aged 20 - 50 years, and married for at least 3 years. Data was collected using a questionnaire containing Breyer’s work family conflict scale and analysed using SPSS V25, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation Results: FWC (Mean 5.97; SD=1.962) was found to be greater than WFC (Mean 4.93.01; SD=1.571). More than 60% of the participants were always or often asked to bear the brunt of dual role, even when most of them (~58%) were working solely due to family needs. Variables like reason for working, work experiences and demand for dual roles were found to be important in deciding WFC as well as FWC. Conclusions: This study explores WFC/ FWC and governing factors in these conflicts. Present study found that family roles created more friction towards work roles in teachers rather than work roles creating friction in family roles. Abstract:
Auditor integrity is very important to ensure audit quality. However, auditor integrity can be influenced by pressure from superiors such as role conflict, role ambiguity, and role overload. This study aims to examine the effect of the three role pressure factors on auditor integrity and performance. This quantitative research with a causality approach was conducted through Google Form by involving staff auditors who work for 52 KAPs in Surabaya. Then the primary data was analyzed using SmartPLS. The results show that role conflict and role ambiguity have a significant negative effect on auditor integrity, while role overload has a positive but insignificant effect. Auditor integrity significantly negatively mediates the effect of role conflict and role ambiguity on auditor performance, and significantly positively mediates the effect of role overload on auditor performance. This study concludes that role pressure can threaten auditor integrity, so steps need to be taken to reduce pressure so that auditors can maintain their integrity. Abstract:
Retaining and managing talented employees are extremely meaningful efforts for organizations to ensure their competitive advantage. In Vietnam, more and more women have been holding important roles in national and foreign companies. However, Vietnamese women must also balance the quality of their roles as wives and mothers. This creates psychological pressure and causes difficulties for married working women. This paper aims to examine the factors affecting academic burnout and job performance of married working women. Using data collected from 343 respondents, we found that academic burnout was inversely related to core self-evaluation and positively related with work-family conflict (and family-work conflict), whereas job performance was directly proportional to core self- evaluation and inversely proportional to work-family conflict (and family-work conflict). The findings suggested that married working women need an optimistic self-view to deal with conflicts between job and family more easily, and to reduce academic burnout, and improve job performance.

The analysis covered the activities of two classes of entities, i.e. terrorist groups and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in order to verify the distorted, overly simplified picture of these entities that prevails in colloquial perception. The study suggests that, contrary to popular assumptions, one cannot assign exclusively „good” or „bad” labels to either of these classes. Terrorist groups and NGOs can play a variety of roles during and after armed conflict, and what is more, their actions may be perceived and evaluated differently by different parties to a conflict.

Introduction:Emergency nurses’ views on their roles, challenges, and preparedness in the context of armed conflict are necessary to capture in-depth insights into healthcare needs. They can identify the required education and training for emergency nurses and provide evidence of the situations of care in the context of armed conflicts. Unfortunately, the evidence about these factors in the context of armed conflict is scant.Method:A semi-structured interview with 23 participants was conducted using qualitative content analysis. The study was conducted in Saudi border hospitals that are shared with Yemen. The COREQ guideline for reporting qualitative research was followed. Results:The emergency nurses’ roles in hospitals in the context of armed conflict discussed clinical nurses’ and head nurses’ roles. The main challenges that emergency nurses faced include poor orientation, access blocks, and communication barriers. Various perspectives about the preparation, including education, training, and strategies for preparing emergency nurses, were identified. The most striking findings in these settings were the diversity of armed conflict injuries, clinical profile, triage of mass causality, trauma care, surge capacity, orientation, communication, and strategies for preparing nurses. Conclusion:This study provided an estimate of the scope of ED nurses' roles, and how they were prepared across a range of hospitals in the armed conflict areas and therefore a snapshot of their experiences significant to be an informative resource for these settings. This study has provided essential implications for preparedness and planning. Given the large number of preparational courses being undertaken by ED nurses in these settings, the choice of the required education and training must be planned accordingly considering the clinical profile of patients in armed conflict areas, trauma care, triage of mass causality, surge capacity, safety and security, communication, policies, and law.

Abstract:
The article discusses the causes and consequences of conflicts within the team, ways to resolve and manage them. The main types of conflicts, their advantages and disadvantages are identified, the options of development and impact on the level of group productivity are investigated. A number of algorithms for action in a conflict situation are also proposed, depending on the position held. Possible roles of team leader and conflict styles are analyzed. Ethical and psychological norms of team members' interaction in remote work are considered and real techniques and rules are offered to help achieve harmonious work remotely, because conflict can lead to finding new ideas and mechanisms for solving organizational problems, thus stimulating innovation and positive change. The urgency of solving this scientific problem is that the diagnosis of conflicts will allow management to develop a set of preventive measures that are effective in preventing or smoothing out conflict situations.

Abstract:
Due to the complex structure and stakeholder relationships within a program, the management of conflicts in program therein proves more challenging than with a single project. The internal conflict of a program affects the performance of the program team and the success of the program. The previous researches focus more on the project level rather than program level, and lack a systematic analysis of management mechanism of team conflict. This research contributes to the program conflict literature by investigating the unique nature and solutions of conflict within program team, taking a systematic and innovative view on the organizational structure of a complex construction program. The findings reveal unique program conflict and their causes and impacts, and suggest the principles and alternative resolution strategies for conflict in program. The different roles of stakeholders in program conflict are analyzed by social network method. A program conflict management model is developed for the effective management of program conflicts. The model provides a systematic view of the learning cycle of program conflict management, including conflict identification, resolution, feedback, and prevention, of which many patterns are found distinct from project conflict management. The research results can benefit practitioners and researchers in better understanding and minimizing program conflict.
