Abstract:
Abstract Editorial Note: This is a paper by M.M. Djrbashian and A.B. Nersesian of 1968, that was published in Russian. There is a constant interest to Djrbashian’s contributions to the topic of fractional calculus and theory of Mittag-Leffler function. Unfortunately, his works were published in Russian and thus, are not easy accessible and not enough popular. Therefore, we invited hS. Rogosin and M. Dubatovskaya to prepare the survey paper in this same issue of “FCAA” and also to translate and edit the present paper in English. On behalf of Editorial Board and fractional calculus’ community, we express to them our thanks for this hard work, including also retyping, mentioning some typos, etc. Authors’ Summary: The concept of fractional integro-differentiation has found a number of applications in earlier papers of the present authors. With this paper we begin the publication of our results in the field of boundary problems for differential operators of fractional order.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper [5] by R. Garrappa, S. Rogosin, and F. Mainardi, entitled “On a generalized three-parameter Wright function of the Le Roy type” and published in Fract. Calc. Appl. Anal. 20 (2017), 1196–1215, ends up leaving the open question concerning the range of the parameters α, β and γ for which Mittag-Leffler functions of Le Roy type $\begin{array}{} F_{\alpha, \beta}^{(\gamma)} \end{array}$ are completely monotonic. Inspired by the 1948 seminal H. Pollard’s paper which provides the proof of the complete monotonicity of the one-parameter Mittag-Leffler function, the Pollard approach is used to find the Laplace transform representation of $\begin{array}{} F_{\alpha, \beta}^{(\gamma)} \end{array}$ for integer γ = n and rational 0 < α ≤ 1/n. In this way it is possible to show that the Mittag-Leffler functions of Le Roy type are completely monotone for α = 1/n and β ≥ (n + 1)/(2n) as well as for rational 0 < α ≤ 1/2, β = 1 and n = 2. For further integer values of n the complete monotonicity is tested numerically for rational 0 < α < 1/n and various choices of β. The obtained results suggest that for the complete monotonicity the condition β ≥ (n + 1)/(2n) holds for any value of n.

We discuss a class of mathematical models of biological systems at microscopic level - i.e. at the level of interacting individuals of a population. The class leads to partially integral stochastic semigroups- [5]. We state general conditions guaranteeing the asymptotic stability. In particular under some rather restrictive assumptions we observe that any, even non-factorized, initial probability density tends in the evolution to a factorized equilibrium probability density - [4]. We discuss possible applications of the general theory such as redistribution of individuals - [2], thermal denaturation of DNA [1], and tendon healing process - [3]. [1] M. Debowski, M. Abstract:
Objective:To determine the seroprevalence and risk factors for hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection among patients at an urban outpatient hemodialysis center. Methods:This was a cross-sectional study of 227 patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Rogosin Kidney Center on December 15, 1998, with a response rate of 90% (227 of 253). Laboratory records were used to retrieve the total number of blood transfusions received and serologic study results. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to examine the relationship among HCV serostatus, patient demographics, and HCV risk factors (eg, intravenous drug use [IVDU], intranasal cocaine use, multiple sexual partners, comorbidities, length of time receiving hemodialysis, and total number of blood transfusions received). Results:The seroprevalence of antibody to HCV (anti-HCV) was 23.3% (53 of 227) in the population. In univariate analysis, factors associated with HCV seropositivity included male gender, younger age, history of IVDU, history of intranasal cocaine use, history of multiple sexual partners, human immunodeficiency virus coinfection, increased time receiving dialysis, history of renal transplant, and positive antibody to hepatitis B core antigen. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that longer duration receiving dialysis and a history of IVDU were the only risk factors that remained independently associated with HCV seropositivity. Conclusions:HCV is markedly more common in our urban cohort of patients receiving hemodialysis compared with patients receiving dialysis nationally and is associated with a longer duration of receiving dialysis and a history of IVDU. Stricter and more frequent enforcement of universal precautions may be required in hemodialysis centers located in areas with a high prevalence of HCV infection or IVDU among the general population.

The author’s refl ections on reading The Idiot encompass both his own perception of the characters in the novel, experienced in his adolescence, and the search for the metaphysical foundations that would consolidate the reader’s ideas about Russia and the Russians of the 19th century and the present, as formed by the novel. According to Stasiuk, Rogozhin is the only truly alive character, who stands out against the ghostly environment.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to a discussion of important methodological problems of the modern history of psy-chology. It is argued that the history of psychology in Russia was formed as a separate area of scientific and psychological knowledge, its methodological foundations were developed in research works of sev-eral generations of scientists. Despite the advances of the modern Russian history of psychology, there remain unresolved methodological problems, resulting in the lack of a full-fledged universal history of psychology that would satisfactorily explain the development of psychological science and characterize its prospects. The article discusses in detail the ideas on the development of the history of psychology proposed by Russian scientist M.S. Rogovin in the 1960s. The historical and psychological concept of M.S. Rogovin remains underestimated, and sometimes it is interpreted incorrectly. Historical and psycho-logical knowledge is considered by M.S. Rogovin as a unity of subject and methodological knowledge, and psychology itself includes three different but interrelated contents: pre-scientific, philosophical, and scientific, which interact throughout the history of psychology. Rogovin distinguishes the external and in-ternal history of psychology, considering it as the dynamics of psychological concepts and the conditions that guide it. Rogovin is the founder of conceptual analysis in the Russian history of psychology. The dy-namics of concepts are considered at three levels (facts as indicators of the movement of psychological concepts; internal relationships between psychological concepts, their self-movement associated with the functioning of certain psychological mechanisms; dynamics of concepts within the theoretical systems of modern psychology). This article is the first to distinguish the stages in M.S. Rogovin’s work. At the third stage (from the 1970s), the author develops a structural-level approach to the study of the psyche. The ar-ticle analyzes some provisions of the theory of M.S. Rogovin that are important for the development of a non-linear (level) history of psychology. It is argued that the ideas expressed by the author are of heuristic importance for the development of the history of psychology in the future. Based on the ideas of M.S. Rogovin, it is possible to proceed to the development of the history of psychology based on the level in-terpretation of the subject of psychology, the prospects of this approach are assessed in the article.

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the outstanding Russian scientist, psychologist, philosopher, historian, methodologist of psychological science Mikhail Semenovich Rogovin (1921-1993). This article summarizes the research carried out in recent years by the students and followers of M. S. Rogovin and devoted to the analysis of his contribution to the development of many urgent problems of psychological science – philosophy of psychology, methodology of psychology, medical psychology, history of psychology, general psychology, etc. The special significance of M. S. Rogovin’s ideas and researches, who were decades ahead of their time and are currently relevant for the development and solution of many problems of domestic and world psychological science. Given the special significance of the occasion, the article presents an interview with one of the students of M. S. Rogovin – doctor of psychology, professor V. A. Mazilov. The genre of the interview made it possible to assess the personality of the scientist, to determine his place in the history of Russian and world psychology, to assess the contribution of the research carried out by M. S. Rogovin, in solving many topical and to this day theoretical, methodological, experimental and other problems of the psychological science. The interview makes it possible to better understand why in relation to M. S. Rogovin's epithets are more than true, characterizing him as an outstanding scientist, philosopher of psychology, methodologist and historian of psychology, a man of science. The personality and scientific activity of M. S. Rogovin is of particular importance for Yaroslavl School of Psychology, since the most productive time of his scientific work – the seventies and eighties of the XX century – were at the Faculty of Psychology of Yaroslavl State University

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the famous Russian psychologist M.S. Rogovin. His contribution to the development of many branches of psychological science (pathopsychology and medical psychology, military psychology, cognitive psychology, general psychology, history of psychology, methodology of psychology, etc.) is noted. His contribution to the philosophy of psychology is emphasized, it is noted that his research devoted to the logic of the development of psychological science was of the greatest relevance. The article attempts to highlight the main features of the scientist's scientific style. On the basis of the historical and methodological analysis of the development of world psychological science carried out by M.S. Rogovin, an attempt is made to reconstruct the main provisions of the author's philosophy of psychology. It is noted that the researcher's contribution is unique: in the sixties of the twentieth century, M.S. Rogovin wrote his works, clearly and unequivocally referring to world psychology as a unified science (Soviet psychology, contrary to ideology, was considered by the author not as a new stage in the development of psychology, but in no way more than one of the directions in world science), which has its own patterns and development trends, which were the main subject of his scientific analysis. An analysis is given of M.S. Rogovin's warnings about dangerous trends in the development of psychological science, which are still relevant today. The characteristics of the decisions made by M.S. Rogovin and his students of the most important methodological issues of psychological science are given.

Abstract:
AbstractRogozhin, one of the main characters of Dostoevsky's The Idiot, appears infrequently in the novel, and the author does not give him the philosophical depth of his other great criminal characters. His relationships with Prince Myshkin and Nastasia are nonetheless among the main themes and driving forces of the plot. Driven by jealousy, he eventually murders Nastasia and drives the Prince back to insanity. Rogozhin is presented and given depth by visual imagery, including his gloomy house, the Holbein painting in it, and the knife with which he eventually kills Nastasia. His Old Believer family is also important in defi ning him. The article addresses this visual imagery and Rogozhin's Old Believer roots.

Abstract:
The article is a continuation of the theoretical aspect, where an attempt was made to consider empathy through the prism of the structural-level approach of M. S. Rogovin. Currently, it is necessary to study mental phenomena in the understanding of their multidimensionality, non-linearity of construction and development. It was found that empathy has a «splitting effect», described in detail by M. A. Kholodnaya on the example of intellectual abilities, on productive and destructive components.

Abstract:
This article focuses primarily on mirror scenes in Lionel Rogosin’s ground-breaking African film Come Back, Africa (1959). To examine how specular reflections may be influenced by a director’s identity, Rogosin’s film is compared to another African classic, Ousmane Sembène’s Black Girl (La Noire de…) (1966). Despite surprising intertextual similarities, their specular reflections signify two very different filmic gazes. Both films are structured as fictional narratives that exhibit a documentary/fictional synthesis and set in inhospitable racist societies. By exploring how these scenes inform the narrative and identities of the characters, these specular encounters add a layer of meaning to films already firmly established in African cinema history.
