Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to investigate the effect different fluxes have on the mechanical properties of lead-free solders, specifically Sn-Zn-Bi solder alloy. The solder billets were soldered in between copper substrates and flux was applied. The mechanical tests carried out on the solder alloys were tensile and shear tests. They were experimented on with different fluxes, namely, water-soluble (paste), rosin mildly activated (RMA) and insoluble (RMA) flux. From these experiments, the ultimate tensile strength, shear strength, elongation, yield stress, Young’s modulus and the stress-strain curve are derived. The results showed that solder billets that were soldered onto copper substrates with water-soluble flux yielded the highest ultimate tensile strength and shear strength values of 9.9961 MPa and 118.836 MPa, respectively. Billets soldered using RMA flux had the highest values of elongation and Young’s modulus, 0.306 mm and 50,257.295 MPa, respectively. However, on viewing the failure of all the specimens under an optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM), specimens soldered using water-soluble flux possessed the least deformities, depicting their higher level of mechanical properties, entailing their strength and ductility, deeming them as the most suitable flux for microelectronic applications. Design/methodology/approach The solder billets were soldered in between copper substrates and flux was applied. The mechanical tests carried out on the solder alloys were tensile and shear tests. They were experimented on with different fluxes, namely, water-soluble (paste), RMA and insoluble flux (RMA) flux. Abstract:
O principal objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a evolução recente da migração intraestadual no Rio Grande do Norte, a partir dos fluxos entre a Região Metropolitana de Natal (RMN) e o interior do estado, e o interior e a Região Metropolitana de Natal, durante os quinquênios de 1995/2000 e 2005/2010. Para tanto, a principal fonte de informações são as amostras dos microdados dos Censos Demográficos de 2000 e 2010 fornecidos pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). Os principais resultados mostram maior dinamização das migrações dentro do próprio estado e intensificação da tendência do fluxo metrópole-interior, com expressiva diminuição no saldo negativo do interior em relação à RMN. Em termos de municípios, o destaque foi Mossoró, que apresentou o maior volume de imigrantes e de emigrantes do e para a RMN, e maior redução no saldo migratório negativo, entre os interregnos de 1995/2000 e 2005/2010. Em contrapartida, na RMN houve declínio nos ganhos populacionais vindos do interior e significativo aumento das emigrações para a respectiva área, evidenciando a redução na capacidade de atração, notadamente da capital (Natal), que figura com maior saldo migratório positivo e volume de entradas e saídas, do e para o interior potiguar.Com isso, entre os interregnos em análise, Natal diminui expressivamente o saldo positivo, fruto de um conjunto de externalidades negativas que associadas a maior dinamização do interior, sobretudo, cidades médias, impulsionam a manutenção da população no interior, bem como a reemigração, desconcentrando a população da RMN.

Abstract:
Rotating magnetic fields (RMF) have been used successfuly to drive steady currents in plasmas in many experiments. Some recent experimental and theoretical results did not seem to agree with the standard model based on assuming that the electrons are 'tied' to the lines of the RMF. A more general model based on the concept of flux preserving motion is developed in this paper. It appears that this model provides a unified approach for predicting the qualitative features of RMF current drive under a variety of conditions.

The stationary permeate flux during ultrafiltration of colloidal suspensions reaches a limiting value, Jl, at high pressure differences. According to the gel polarization model employed here, the existence of this limiting flux is a consequence of gelation of the solution at the membrane-solution interface. The limiting permeate flux, Jl, can easily be determined from experimental data by plotting ∆p/Js against ∆p. Furthermore, the membrane resistance at zero pressure difference, Rm0, and the pressure difference necessary to reach 95 per cent of the limiting flux, i.e. the threshold pressure, ∆pt, may be calculated, too. The agreement between the model and experimental data is satisfactory. The laboratory-made silica sol consisting of uniform spherical particles with a surface average diameter of 18 nm was selected as a working fluid throughout this study.

We investigated the mechanism by which meiotic spindles become bipolar and the correlation between bipolarity and poleward flux, using Xenopus egg extracts. By speckle microscopy and computational alignment, we find that monopolar sperm asters do not show evidence for flux, partially contradicting previous work. We account for the discrepancy by describing spontaneous bipolarization of sperm asters that was missed previously. During spontaneous bipolarization, onset of flux correlated with onset of bipolarity, implying that antiparallel microtubule organization may be required for flux. Using a probe for TPX2 in addition to tubulin, we describe two pathways that lead to spontaneous bipolarization, new pole assembly near chromatin, and pole splitting. By inhibiting the Ran pathway with excess importin-alpha, we establish a role for chromatin-derived, antiparallel overlap bundles in generating the sliding force for flux, and we examine these bundles by electron microscopy. Our results highlight the importance of two processes, chromatin-initiated microtubule nucleation, and sliding forces generated between antiparallel microtubules, in self-organization of spindle bipolarity and poleward flux.

Wetting behavior of eutectic SnPb and pure Sn on Au(500 Å)/Cu(1 μm)/Cr(800 Å) layered thin films were monitored in situ in a ramping temperature profile using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with a vacuum of 10−5–10−6 Torr. We found that the wetting behavior of these two solders in SEM was dramatically different from their behavior in RMA soldering flux; a smaller wetting angle and rough wetting front morphology were observed. Very surprisingly, no dewetting could be observed inside the SEM chamber, yet dewetting happened to the same sample when it was removed from the SEM and immersed in RMA soldering flux. We estimate the interfacial energy between liquid Sn and solid Cr and assume the reduction of surface and interfacial energies caused by possible oxidation of Cr and liquid Sn surface in the SEM in order to explain the above-mentioned wetting and dewetting behaviors.

The spreadability of Zn-20Sn solders on Cu substrate was researched by using self-made flux, silver brazing 102 and medium activity rosin (RMA), and the characteristics of intermetallic compounds the appearance of solder joints were compared and analyzed at soldering joints. Results indicated that Zn-20Sn solders exhibited excellent spreadability by using self-made flux. A shoot IMC layer was closed to the solder while a flat IMC layer was presenting adjacent to the Cu substrate and the middle layer. Moreover, the characteristics of IMC and the appearances of soldered joints varied by using different fluxes.

The flux of high-energy cosmic-ray electrons plus positrons recently measured by the DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) exhibits a tentative peak excess at an energy of around 1.4 TeV. In this paper, we consider the minimal gauged U(1)[Formula: see text] model with a right-handed neutrino (RHN) dark matter (DM) and interpret the DAMPE peak with a late-time decay of the RHN DM into [Formula: see text]. We find that a DM lifetime [Formula: see text] can fit the DAMPE peak with a DM mass [Formula: see text]. This favored lifetime is close to the current bound on it by Fermi-LAT, our decaying RHN DM can be tested, once the measurement of cosmic gamma ray flux is improved. The RHN DM communicates with the Standard Model particles through the U(1)[Formula: see text] gauge boson ([Formula: see text] boson), and its thermal relic abundance is controlled by only three free parameters: [Formula: see text], the U(1)[Formula: see text] gauge coupling [Formula: see text], and the [Formula: see text] boson mass [Formula: see text]. For [Formula: see text], the rest of the parameters are restricted to be [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], in order to reproduce the observed DM relic density and to avoid the Landau pole for running [Formula: see text] below the Planck scale. This allowed region will be tested by the search for a [Formula: see text] boson resonance at the future Large Hadron Collider.

Abstract:
Abstract Targeting cytosolic nucleic acid sensing pathways to activate the Type I interferon (IFN) response is an emerging therapeutic strategy being explored in oncology. The PARP family consists of seventeen enzymes that regulate fundamental biological processes including response to cellular stress. PARP7 (TIPARP) is a stress-induced mono-ART that catalyzes the transfer of a single unit of ADP-ribose onto substrates (MARylation) to regulate their function and plays a role in suppressing the Type I IFN response in tumor cells (Gozgit 2021 Cancer Cell). RBN-2397 is the first potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of PARP7 catalytic function. To investigate the cell autonomous effects of PARP7 inhibition, we performed a cell line screen to identify PARP7 dependent cancer cell lines. We found that treatment of a subset of lines across several cancers led to a robust decrease in cell viability. Additionally, dosing of tumor bearing mice led to complete regressions in NCI-H1373 lung cancer xenografts. To investigate the mechanism of action (MOA) leading to decreased cell viability, we treated NCI-H1373 cells with RBN-2397 and found accumulation of cells in the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle indicative of a cell cycle arrest. This arrest in NCI-H1373 cells was associated with the induction of senescence and increased mRNA expression of senescence associated secretory phenotype (SASP) genes. To evaluate the in vivo MOA, we performed an NCI-H1373 xenograft study and collected tumors after 7 days of RBN-2397 treatment. PARP7 inhibition led to decreased expression of Ki67, and increased expression of P21 and cleaved caspase-3, suggesting decreased proliferation and increased apoptosis. Increased expression of SASP genes was also observed in RBN-2397 treated tumors. Finally, we investigated transcriptional changes after RBN-2397 treatment by RNA sequencing. In addition to the effects observed in Type I IFN signaling, we also observed differential expression of genes associated with other pathways including autophagy and energy metabolism. Further evaluation of key autophagy proteins revealed that RBN-2397 affects autophagy flux and leads to a decrease in the oxygen consumption rate of cells and reduced ATP production from the mitochondria, suggesting that a change in energy metabolism may be related to the tumor intrinsic effect of RBN-2397. In summary, we show treatment of cancer cells with RBN-2397 not only leads to activation of tumor cell IFN signaling, but also causes G1 arrest and senescence, and changes in cancer cell autophagy and energy metabolism. In vivo, RBN-2397 treatment leads to complete tumor regressions in xenografts accompanied by decreased proliferation and increased apoptosis of tumor cells. Analisa o fluxo migratório, evolução da produção e da produtividade e fatores relevantes para estimação da taxa de salário. Com relação ao fluxo migratório, constata que o Nordeste apresenta um grande fluxo, em busca de melhores serviços, maiores salários e, principalmente, melhor nível de vida, principalmente para o Sudeste e Centro-Oeste. Analisando a migração rural-urbana, o meio rural perdeu população no período 1970-1991. Na análise da evolução da produção e da produtividade, considerou-se o crescimento da produção em função da produtividade da terra, área cultivada e emprego. De 1975-1985, a produção nordestina elevou-se em função do aumento da área cultivada e da maior produtividade da terra. No período de 1985-1995, visualiza-se redução da produção agrícola em todos os Estados e região, principalmente pela ocorrência de secas. No entanto, a análise dos 20 anos mostra que a produção agrícola da região Nordeste registrou pequeno crescimento. São considerados fatores relevantes: força de trabalho, escolaridade e capital por trabalhador. A base de dados é constituída pelas atuais 177 microrregiões do Nordeste. Constata uma pequena variação negativa (-0,09%) no salário rural com o aumento de 1% na força de trabalho. A submerged flat metal MBR (membrane bioreactor) was used to treat synthetic domestic sewage in this study. The experiment was continued for 270 days and ran under two modes as AMBR (aerobic membrane bioreactor) and A/O-MBR (anoxic/aerobic membrane bioreactor) at a permeate flux of 0.4–1 m3/(m2 d). PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) gel beads were added to the aeration tank with a volume ratio of 10% at the end of the A/O-MBR mode. The mean COD and TN removal efficiencies achieved 96.69 and 32.12% under the AMBR mode, and those were 92.17 and 72.44% under the A/O-MBR mode, respectively. SND (simultaneous nitrification and denitrification) occurred at high MLSS (mixed liquor suspended solids) concentration. The metal membranes reduced effluent COD during filtration. The system ran stably for 115 days at a permeate flux of 0.8–1 m3/(m2 d) without changing membranes under the AMBR mode, but the membrane filterability decreased gradually under high MLSS or A/O-MBR mode, and the addition of PVA worsened the membrane filterability on the contrary. PSD (particle size distribution) and sludge fractions had evident influence on membrane fouling. The main fouling mechanism was cake formation under the AMBR mode, and that was pore blocking under the A/O-MBR mode.

Mais, pour certains enfants, des irritabilités sensorielles peuvent entraver ou limiter ce processus. L’enfant peut avoir de la peine à développer sa propre conscience corporelle ainsi que tous les processus d’agentivité incarnée qui y sont liés. Pour ces enfants, c’est l’ajustement du milieu humain qui va les aider à développer leurs capacités de régulation tonicoémotionnelle en soutenant leurs propres efforts pour atteindre l’apaisement. À la suite des 119 articles des statuts de 1403, le manuscrit a transmis vingt-deux articles additionnels qui traitent de l’organisation et du personnel de l’hôtel du comte, notamment du maître d’hôtel, de la Chambre des comptes et du trésorier général, ainsi que de quelques questions monétaires ou relatives à la Chartreuse de Pierre-Châtel. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to present a new hybrid Euler flux fonction for use in a finite-volume Euler/Navier-Stokes code and adapted to compressible flow problems. Design/methodology/approach – The proposed scheme, called AUFSRR can be devised by combining the AUFS solver and the Roe solver, based on a rotated Riemann solver approach (Sun and Takayama, 2003; Ren, 2003). The upwind direction is determined by the velocity-difference vector and idea is to apply the AUFS solver in the direction normal to shocks to suppress carbuncle and the Roe solver across shear layers to avoid an excessive amount of dissipation. The resulting flux functions can be implemented in a very simple manner, in the form of the Roe solver with modified wave speeds, so that converting an existing AUFS flux code into the new fluxes is an extremely simple task. Findings – The proposed flux functions require about 18 per cent more CPU time than the Roe flux. Accuracy, efficiency and other essential features of AUFSRR scheme are evaluated by analyzing shock propagation behaviours for both the steady and unsteady compressible flows. This is demonstrated by several test cases (1D and 2D) with standard finite-volume Euler code, by comparing results with existing methods. Practical implications – The hybrid Euler flux function is used in a finite-volume Euler/Navier-Stokes code and adapted to compressible flow problems. Originality/value – The AUFSRR scheme is devised by combining the AUFS solver and the Roe solver, based on a rotated Riemann solver approach.

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os efeitos da expansão dos veículos flex na frota de veículos leves no Brasil sobre a demanda dos diferentes tipos de combustíveis utilizados na mesma: etanol hidratado e gasolina. O estudo inclui uma análise crítica das estimativas anteriores de demanda de combustíveis no Brasil de modo a explicar a importância da presente estimativa, incluindo os dados mais recentes possíveis. Os resultados indicam que a demanda por etanol hidratado é elástica em relação aos preços, tanto do próprio combustível quanto preço cruzado da gasolina; que a demanda preço da gasolina é inelástica a ambos os preços e; que a renda tem um efeito positivo e significativo sobre a demanda de gasolina, mas tem efeito negativo sobre a demanda de etanol hidratado. Estes resultados podem orientar a formulação de políticas para impulsionar o consumo de biocombustíveis no Brasil, considerando que, nos últimos anos, o mercado de etanol hidratado tem se mantido estagnado devido a distorções introduzidas pelas políticas do governo brasileiro.

Ces deux formats de vente s’appuient sur la multiplication de livraisons urbaines selon un modèle de capillarité extrême des flux. Il en résulte des perturbations environnementales majeures, compte tenu de la multiplication des véhicules de livraison. Un nombre de plus en plus important de décideurs politiques locaux souhaitent développer une ville durable, et pour cela, ils mettent en œuvre de nouveaux schémas logistiques fondés sur la coercition, notamment avec la création de zones à faible émission (ZFE). L’interventionnisme politique impacte fortement le fonctionnement des canaux de distribution de masse, et il doit être impérativement pris en compte par les entreprises au risque de bloquer le développement de nouveaux formats de vente.

ABSTRACT We report on one of the brightest flux levels of the Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 2992 ever observed in X-rays, on 2019 May. The source has been monitored every few days from 2019 March 26 to 2019 December 14 by Swift-X-Ray Telescope (XRT), and simultaneous XMM–Newton (250 ks) and NuSTAR (120 ks) observations were triggered on 2019 May 6. The high count rate of the source (its 2–10 keV flux ranged between 0.7 and 1.0 × 10−10 erg cm−2 s−1) allows us to perform a time-resolved spectroscopy, probing spatial scales of tens of gravitational radii from the central black hole. By constructing a map of the excess emission over the primary continuum, we find several emission structures in the 5.0–7.2 keV energy band. From fitting the 50 European Photon Imaging Camera (EPIC)-pn spectral slices of ∼5 ks duration, we interpret them as a constant narrow iron Kα line and three variable components in the iron K complex. When a self-consistent model accounting for the accretion disc emission is considered (KYNrline), two of these features (in the 5.0–5.8 and 6.8–7.2 keV bands) can be ascribed to a flaring region of the accretion disc located at rin ≃ 15–40rg from the black hole. The third one (6.5–6.8 keV) is likely produced at much larger radii (rin > 50rg). The inner radius and the azimuthal extension retrieved from the co-added spectra of the flaring states are rin = 15 ± 3rg and ϕ = 165°–330°, suggesting that the emitting region responsible for the broad iron K component is a relatively compact annular sector within the disc. Our findings support a physical scenario in which the accretion disc in NGC 2992 becomes more active at high accretion rates ($L_{\rm bol}/L_{\rm Edd}\ge 4$ per cent).

A lógica de tais políticas consiste na regulação a partir das fronteiras sob dois mecanismos dispostos em normativas comunitárias: o Acordo de Schengen e o Tratado de Amsterdã. No decorrer da Primavera Árabe, em especial, o fluxo de refugiados somou-se ao de imigrantes irregulares, denunciando as lacunas existentes na gestão das fronteiras europeias em termos estratégicos e também humanitários. O aporte metodológico utilizado da análise comparada nos permite identificar as distorções entre documento e prática no que se refere ao Tratado de Amsterdã e o Acordo de Schengen na gestão de fronteiras. Nossa hipótese é de que o aumento do fluxo de refugiados geraria uma crise institucional na qual o poder soberano se sobreporia ao poder supranacional.Abstract: EU migration policies are characterized as strategic, in which the securitization interests of the Community are prioritized. The logic of such policies is to regulate from the borders under two mechanisms set out in Community legislation: the Schengen Agreement and the Treaty of Amsterdam. During the Arab Spring, in particular, the influx of refugees added to irregular migrants, stressing the shortcomings in the management of European borders in strategic and humanitarian terms. The methodological approach used in the comparative analysis allows us to identify the distortions between document and practice regarding the Treaty of Amsterdam and the Schengen Agreement on border management. Textured Si3N4 materials have been fabricated by extruding ceramic pastes, containing β-Si3N4 seeds, and later densification by hot-pressing. A strong anisotropy in the microstructure of the specimens was observed, which drastically influenced their properties. The thermomechanical and tribological behavior of the textured materials were investigated. The surface perpendicular to the Si3N4 grain alignment presented higher wear resistance than the parallel one. The thermal conductivity of the material increased when the heat flux ran along the elongated Si3N4 grains.

A proposta do trabalho consistiu em agregar variáveis relacionadas a esses dois municípios, tendo como base metodológica o Indicador da Atividade Econômica de Ribeiro (2003), o qual possibilita o monitoramento do fluxo de pessoas e cargas com eficácia e celeridade. Através da análise de séries temporais feita pelo programa X-13 ARIMA e do método da componente principal foi desenvolvido o Índice de Atividade Econômica de Ilhéus e Itabuna (Índice IOS-ITA), o qual apontou, pela estimativa dos dados referentes ao período 2014 a 2018, que as variáveis: “Aeroporto”, “Porto” e “Saldo de Emprego” são as que mais explicaram as atividade econômicas desses municípios nos meses desse período. Por fim, foi provado através de testes de correlação que o Índice IOS-ITA é positivamente e significativamente relacionado a outros indicadores tradicionais e conceituados da economia nacional.

Passive volcanic degassing results in the emission of toxic gases such as H2S at quasi-steady rates over long periods of time that pose a significant hazard to human health even in low gas concentrations. Currently, La Soufrière de Guadeloupe has one of the highest gas emission rates in the Lesser Antilles arc, with gas emitted mainly from low-temperature fumaroles. In this study, gas dispersion from the volcano between 2016–2021 was modelled using a numerical code that takes into account wind and atmospheric data, topography and gas flux measurements. We ran c.100 individual simulations of the most frequently observed wind and gas flux conditions using a Monte-Carlo scheme. Our results, validated using air-quality measurements and citizen-science surveys, show that the most exposed zones are the hamlet of Matouba and the upper St. Claude. These areas have 20% and 5% probability, respectively, of exceeding H2S guidelines for long-term gas exposure (70 ppb).

According to the sowing norms, it was proved that the elements of oilseed crop and the weight of 1000 seeds were high in the option where 4 million seeds were used, and when 5 and 6 million seeds were used, the yield elements of oilseed was higher, and the weight of 1,000 seeds were proven to be behind the option that used 4 million seeds. It has been proven that the Russian Fliz (st) variety, which gave good results on the same level as the Bahorikor (st) variety, was well adapted to the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan and prevailed over other varieties.

Understanding the fluid behaviour in rock masses is of great importance in various rock mass-related engineering projects, such as seepage in tunnels, geothermal reservoirs, and hazardous waste disposal. Different approaches have been implemented to study the flow pattern in fractured porous rock masses. Laboratory experiments can provide good information regarding this issue, but high expenses aside, they are time-consuming and suffer the lack of ability to study field scale mediums. Numerical methods are beneficial in simulating such mediums with the Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) method in terms of costs and time as they offer sufficient flexibility and creativity. In this paper, a Matlab code was extended to study the flow regime in a Dual Permeability Media (DPM) with two point sources in the right and left side of the model as an injector and a producer well, respectively. A high permeability discontinuity with different angles was embedded in a very low-permeability limestone matrix. Pressure equations were solved implicitly with a two-point flux approximation scheme of the Finite Volume Method (FVM). Streamlines were traced in the medium and used to analyse the model’s hydraulic behaviour with the aid of Time Of Flight (TOF) for each point. The results show that the FVM-DFN hybrid method can be used as a fast method for fluid flow in DPM with the aid of streamline simulation to study the fluid flow in a large model with discontinuity.

Pulmonary hemodynamics and net transcapillary fluid flux (NTFF) were measured in conscious toads before and following bilateral denervation of the recurrent laryngeal nerves (rLN), which contain afferents from baroreceptors located in the pulmocutaneous arteries. Denervation caused an acute doubling of the arterial-venous pressure gradient across the lung and a threefold increase in pulmonary blood flow. Calculated pulmonary vascular resistance fell and remained below control values through the period of experimentation. NTFF increased by an order of magnitude (0.74–7.77 ml X kg-1 X min-1), as filtration increased in response to the hemodynamic changes caused by rLN denervation. There was a better correlation between NTFF and pulmonary blood flow than between NTFF and pulmonary driving pressure. Our results support the view that tonic neural input from pulmocutaneous baroreceptors protects the anuran lung from edema by restraining pulmonary driving pressure and blood flow and perhaps by reflexly maintaining vascular tone in the extrinsic pulmonary artery, therefore tending to increase the pre-to-postpulmonary capillary resistance ratio and biasing the Starling relationship in the pulmonary capillaries against filtration.

Natural convection cooling of a heat source placed at the bottom wall of a square cavity filled with non-Newtonian fluid was investigated numerically. Two thermal conditions were assumed at the source (imposed temperature or flux density). The effects of Rayleigh number (Ran), rheological index (n), source length (SL), its position (D), and Prandtl number (Prn) were analyzed. For a centered source. The three first parameters were varied. The results show an increase in dynamic and thermal fields? perturbations when Ran increases and/or SL increases and/or n decreases. These observations are clearer in the first heating type compared to the second. Mean Nusselt number increase is recorded when Ran increases and/or n decreases, while it decreases with SL increase until SL=1.0 where a new increase is recorded. For a non-centered source, the previous observations still valid, noting the loss of symmetry. The highest mean rate of heat exchange is recorded when D=0.0 with decreasing amounts when moving towards the center. Finally, Prn effect is analyzed. Results show a better diffusion of heat when Prn increases for low n. Consequently, a marked increase in the mean Nusselt number for n<1.0, weak for n=1.0 and almost absent for n>1.0 are recorded with a clearer effect for the first type of heating.

TPX2 is a Ran-regulated spindle assembly factor that is required for kinetochore fiber formation and activation of the mitotic kinase Aurora A. TPX2 is enriched near spindle poles and is required near kinetochores, suggesting that it undergoes dynamic relocalization throughout mitosis. Using photoactivation, we measured the movement of PA-GFP-TPX2 in the mitotic spindle. TPX2 moves poleward in the half-spindle and is static in the interzone and near spindle poles. Poleward transport of TPX2 is sensitive to inhibition of dynein or Eg5 and to suppression of microtubule flux with nocodazole or antibodies to Kif2a. Poleward transport requires the C terminus of TPX2, a domain that interacts with Eg5. Overexpression of TPX2 lacking this domain induced excessive microtubule formation near kinetochores, defects in spindle assembly and blocked mitotic progression. Our data support a model in which poleward transport of TPX2 down-regulates its microtubule nucleating activity near kinetochores and links microtubules generated at kinetochores to dynein for incorporation into the spindle.

Abstract:
RMB is a multipurpose reactor to be built by CNEN. As a multipurpose facility, unlike a nuclear power plant, some operations may result in transients, whether during the movement of materials from remote irradiation, extraction of neutrons through beam holes, reactor starting up, control rod accident, etc. For that, a methodology to visualize some variables like neutron fluxes, temperatures, power, etc., was developed. In this one present some preliminary results based on multigroup diffusion theory, thermal hydraulics feedbacks, and numerical methods, systematized in the DINUCLE code. DINUCLE couples a numerical code of multigroup spatial kinetics, for calculations of the flux of neutrons in the core of reactors, with a numerical code for the analysis of thermo hydraulic transients in rods and plates, considering the refrigerant always single-phase. Use was made of a programming in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) from Excel, for data visualization in the transient.

Abstract:
Oil flax was grown on gray forest soils of the Sverdlovsk region. The purpose of the research was to compare the yield of new varieties of oil flax, to justify the yield value by elements of the yield structure and to determine the seed quality by biochemical composition. The research method was a field experiment with variance analysis of experimental data. We established that in the Sverdlovsk region, even in extreme meteorological conditions, it is possible to obtain the oil flax yield of 1.8–2.2 t/ha. In the ecological trial, the varieties Uralsky, VNIIMK 620 FN, RFN, Fliz, Rachel and Lirina were distinguished by early maturity, in which the growing season was 82 days, which is 10 days shorter than late-maturing varieties. According to the seed yield in the conditions of 2021, the varieties Lirina (2.04 t/ha), Uralsky (1.88 t/ha), VNIIMK 620 FN (1.71 t/ha), Fliz (1.64 t/ha) and Rachel (1.73 t/ha) were distinguished. With small differences between varieties in plant density, the yield value was determined by the optimal combination of the main elements of its structure – the number of pods per 1 plant, seeds in a pod and the thousand-seed weight. The highest yield in the competitive trial was formed by the variety Uralsky yellow (2.28 t/ha). By thousand-seed weight, it is inferior to the variety Northern (standard with brown seeds), but exceeds the similar variety LM 98 with yellow seeds by 1.32 g. In the warm and arid conditions of 2021, flax seeds were characterized by increased oil content. By this trait, the varieties August (48.6%), RFN (46.9%) and Azurite (46.6%) were distinguished.

Two kinds of membranes, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polyethersulfone (PES), were used in submerged flat membrane bioreactors (MBRs) to treat domestic wastewater in this study. The MBRs ran under the same reactor structure, the same membrane pore size of 0.45 μm and the same anoxic/ oxic (A/O) process. The experimental results showed that: (1) With the influent of BOD5 200–500 mg/L and CODCr 400–1,000 mg/L, PVDF MBR achieved the removal efficiencies of BOD5 96–98% and CODCr 89–98%, and those were 97–99% and 93–97% in PES MBR. The interceptive efficiency of PES membrane to BOD5 and CODCr was superior to PVDF membrane. (2) The removal efficiencies of TN and NH3-N in two MBRs exhibited good results which were greater than 85%. The removal efficiencies of TP were greater than 80% in both MBRs. (3) MLSS concentration changed from 2,000 mg/L to 7,000 mg/L during the experiment. PES membrane was not washed and the membrane flux was steady. However, the flux of PVDF one decreased quickly and was washed for twice. It meant that PES membrane had fine capability than PVDF one.

Abstract:
Distribution of O2 within and among arterioles and venules was determined in dog and rat gracilis muscles with a cryospectrophotometric method. Saturation in 40-microns arterioles was not demonstrably different from saturation in the aorta even when flow was abnormally low. Arterioles greater than 40 microns ran parallel to venules. Measurements and a mathematical model indicate that diffusive shunting is negligible for typical separation distances between arterioles and venules. Most separation distances were greater than 30 microns. In some venule segments less than 15 microns from an arteriole, saturation within 10 microns of the wall facing the arteriole was higher than at other locations within the venule. However, saturation in the population of venules did not increase with venule diameter, and mean venular saturation was not different from saturation in effluent blood. We make the following conclusions: 1) a small arteriovenous diffusive O2 flux exists in postural muscles; 2) contribution of this flux to O2 mass balance is negligible; 3) O2 diffusivity of the arteriolar wall and surrounding tissue in vivo cannot be much higher than O2 diffusivity determined in vitro; and 4) effluent PO2 closely approximates mean end-capillary PO2.

The nonlinear response of a composite laminated panel that is suddenly exposed to a heat flux is examined using the finite element method. The panel is cantilevered onto a rigid hub, the rotation motion of which is either fully or partially restrained. The panel elastic deformations are assumed large and are modeled via the von Ka´rma´n strain-displacement relationship while the rigid-body angular rotation, for the case of a rotating rigid hub, is assumed small. The system of nonlinear governing equations is solved by the Newton-Raphson method in conjunction with the Newmark time integration scheme. The panel deformation is observed to be sensitive to the motion of the base.

Quels facteurs contribuent à la construction de ses représentations ? Quelle part y prend le temps ? Comment est-il lui-même représenté ? Nous adopterons l’approche du psychologue A. Bullinger, qui considère que l’élément décisif dans ce processus est l’intégration des signaux sensoriels produits par l’organisme aux signaux toniques générés par sa motricité. Les liaisons de ces deux types de signaux, les uns en rapport avec les flux irritant ses capteurs, les autres issus de son engagement moteur, seraient simultanément la clef de l’installation des conduites instrumentales et du phénomène de représentation. L’entourage joue un rôle spécifique. Le bébé trouve dans +la disponibilité des personnes qui s’occupent de lui un miroir sensoriel multimodal correspondant de manière synchrone et isomorphe à ses mimiques, ses ajustements posturaux, ses mouvements.
