Abstract:
This publication aims to disseminate to the scientific community and society in general, the project of the same title of this publication that is under development by the collaboration of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) and the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de aneiro (UFRRJ). Briefly, this project aims to quantify and identify parasites of the body surface (ectoparasites) and intestinal parasites (enteroparasites) of wild birds, which should be related to their biological and ecological conditions, and to evaluate the dispersal seed process performed by birds (ornithocoria), the viability and development of these seeds and thus establish the degree of importance of ornithocoria in reforestation at the IFRJ campus of Pinheiral, RJ. The project includes the integration of five doctoral professors, a laboratory technician doctor, as well as a postdoctoral student, four doctoral students, one master student, two undergraduate students and four technical high school students. To date, six expeditions have been made in the reforestation area of the Espaço Ecológico Educativo (EEcoE) of the IFRJ campus in Pinheiral, RJ, where a total of 196 wild birds have been captured, evaluated, ringed and recorded at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa e Conservação de Aves Silvestres (CEMAVE), of which 29 were recaptured for revaluations. Four articles were published on the themes of parasitology and ornithochory in wild birds. Two practical short courses in the area of study were taught in September 2018 and February 2019 to IFRJ students, but open to the scientific community and society at large. Currently the project is not expected to end, since there are plenty of unpublished and relevant results in both the area of parasitology and ornithochory of wild birds.

Abstract:
Most of high-school students have typically lower assimilation of the basic concepts of physics in comparison with other subjects which are closer to their daily life. In addition, the technical language fairly used in physics lessons is far away from their common vocabulary, thus generating estrangement and lack of interest. The idea hereby proposed is trying to get high-school students closer to physics by integrating concepts of physics and technical language in their sport activities. In this work, an innovative experimental and demonstrative pedagogical methodology is described. The methodology is based on two main pillars: embracing concepts while playing and normalizing technical language during pleasant moments. The work provides several activities descriptions and procedures as well as suggestions of technical language, uses to physics and sports high-school teachers in order to achieve a better inclusion of physics in high-school students.

Abstract:
This paper analyses the degree of participant (mentees, mentors, and technical-research team) satisfaction with two university mentoring programmes for pre-university students with high intellectual capacities in Spain. Three versions of a Likert-type scale questionnaire were applied (mentees, mentors, and technical-research team), resulting in a total sample of 43 questionnaires from mentors, 314 from mentees, and 43 from the technical-research team in 43 workshops offered by the GuíaMe-AC-UMA Programme; and 27 questionnaires from mentors, 203 from mentees, and 27 from the technical-research team in the 27 workshops offered by the Amentúrate Programme. The results indicate a high level of satisfaction with the development of the workshops offered by both programmes, on the part of all participants. No significant differences were found in terms of thematic area or gender, although there were differences in age. The participation of the three agents involved in this training offer was very successful, and our results supported the findings of previous investigations. More work is required on the transfer and maintenance of the impact that this type of programme can have on young pre-university students with high abilities.

Abstract:
This article uses data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 to investigate high school dropout and its association with the high school curriculum. In particular, it examines how combinations of career and technical education (CTE) and core academic courses influence the likelihood of leaving school. Hazards models indicate a significant curvilinear association between the CTE-to-academic course-taking ratio and the risk of dropping out for youths who were aged 14 and younger when they entered the ninth grade (not old for grade). This finding suggests that a middle-range mix of exposure to CTE and an academic curriculum can strengthen a student's attachment to or motivation while in school. The same association was not found between course taking and the likelihood of dropping out for youths who were aged 15 or older when they entered high school, thus prompting further consideration of the situation of being old for grade in school settings that remain highly age graded in their organization.

Abstract:
In this article the author tries to objectively evaluate the establishment of a higher technical institution, namely, from the three-class real-school to the Technical Academy, which consists of two branches: technical and trade-school and real-school, the reaction of the ruling circles. The process of reorganization of this institution, for which the college of professors prepared a project based on the organization of training of Austrian technical institutions, was approved by the Ministry of Education and Religion and provided for a thorough study of theoretical and practical disciplines, and running the academy was compared to other technical academies of the monarchy. Accordingly, the main provisions of the educational procesus that were approved by the Galician Regional Council and the Austro-Hungarian Ministry of Education were approved. As the reaction of the Austrian and Polish authorities to the development of a higher technical school was largely positive, there was no such conflict situation as was observed at the University of Lviv, as it was about the establishment of the Ukrainian university and the policy of the Viennese government on the educational issue. The reaction of the Polish ruling circles towards the development of higher technical education was also calm, since the teaching languages in this institution were German and Polish, and the Poles predominated in nationality.

Abstract:
The article substantiates the expediency of using narratives about technical phenomena in mechanical transmissions in the profile education of high school students as a means of forming technical literacy. Based on the methodology of the activity approach and the narrative way of interpreting technical knowledge, it was found that the operation of semantic information of technical content is the main condition for its perception and understanding by students. It was found that the stimulation of meaning making contributes to the activation of the humanitarian potential of technical knowledge. To master the knowledge of technical phenomena by high school students, it is necessary to choose the subject of interpretation, to include it in specific story lines. Having understood the explanation of the plot lines, students will realize the value-semantic aspects and study a fragment of the modern technosphere. It is established that the narrative explanation of technical phenomena in mechanical transmissions as the main elements of drives of working machines is organically intertwined in the context of the cultural concept of technological education of schoolchildren. The main learning outcomes of students will include experience of cognitive activity, experience of reproductive activity, experience of creative activity, experience of emotional and value relations. Emotional-value relations are acquired using reflection. The attitude of students to the object of knowledge is one of the main conditions for the transformation of technical knowledge into beliefs, which serve as a guide in the perception of the phenomena of the technosphere and contribute to the solution of technical problems. Technical ideas, beliefs and values will form the basis of technical literacy of high school students.

Abstract:
The disruption era presents a challenge for schools in the form of educational graduate standards in comparison to industry and the workforce. The government responded by instituting a policy of vocational schools to produce superior human resources. The adaptive strategy implemented is one of long-term quality improvement through the measurement of organizational performance using benchmarking models. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of benchmarking techniques in improving educational services in Public Vocational High School. The research is qualitative in nature, employing case study techniques. The veracity of the data is checked using sources of principals, school public relation, and senior teacher. Data triangulation techniques and peer discussion were used to examining the data. The study's findings demonstrate technical benchmarking implementation through planning, analysis, integration, implementation, and maturity is known as institutionalist benchmarking. Benchmarking strategies for sustainable organizations are implemented concurrently through vision adaptation, mission and objectives toward strategic environments; benchmarking targeting focus determination, and goal determination through the fabric of school superior partnerships. Adaptation of the benchmarking outcomes program results in actualizing educational information system management, peer tutoring techniques, optimization of research activities, and strengthening internal supervision. In addition, interviews are the only method used to collect data for this study. Therefore, future research will investigate the school institution of others in Indonesia, particularly the development of vocational schools that have already integrated science and skill competencies.

Global consumer electronic device market status and future forecast of growth in 2019-2025 is presented in complete Reuters review (https://www.reuters.com/brandfeatures/venture-capital/article?id=76507). With added commercial electronic products the market will exceed $152 Billions by 2022. The dynamics of electronic industry is incomparable market of chemical products, steel and even automotive. Even more impressive is the dynamics of solar panels manufacturing and installation. Last year solar cells produced about 1% of annual US electricity production. However in 2020 it will be already 2% of electricity produced in US. Availability of educated manpower of all levels from production line operators to technicians testing and installing the hardware and design engineers is the most important factor in existing trends of electronic industry. Only well-educated and inventive technical personnel could participate in design and fabrication of electronic products, which basically are modified or changed every two years. Our study summarizes joint work of University of Massachusetts and Nashoba Valley Technical School in developing innovative skills in high school students, who specialize in electrical engineering.

Abstract:
Career and technical education (CTE) has gone through major transformations in the United States with important benefits for all students seeking postsecondary and career success. Research analyzing students' CTE enrollment patterns is important to understand which students are taking CTE courses and why in order to inform future research and practice. Using the High School Longitudinal Study of 2009 (HSLS:2009), this study investigated CTE enrollment patterns using Aliaga, Kotamraju, and Stone's (2014) typology and literature-based individual and social factors. Results from descriptive and multinomial logistic regression indicated that the majority of students were enrolling in some level of CTE credits and that individual and social factors were influential but varied by specific enrollment patterns.

Abstract:
The authors discuss the project of creating a school of aerospace engineers, as well as the need to take additional measures to expand the opportunities of space education for children. These are promotion of schoolchildren’ s career guidance in the aerospace sphere, popularization of cosmonautics and involvement of young people in engineering and space activities, as well as developing the motivation of the younger generation to choose technical professions related to Cosmonautics, space research and the use of space technologies. Space activities are necessary as a significant incentive for the developing technologies and basic science. The authors propose to promote the intellectual development of students through competitions, research, scientific and project activities. The implementation of the project is a systematic, consistent work of the project team and is to contribute to solving the problem of the students’ career guidance in aerospace education to perform the tasks. Today, the relevance of technical education is very high and there is a need to improve the level of the students’ knowledge in the field of exact Sciences, to emphasize the importance of technical education.

Abstract:
Abstract This research outlines the challenges and obstacles of introducing English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in a Technical High School “Lutfi Musiqi” in Vushtrri, and most importantly, the benefits for the students, who can use this acquired knowledge in their future professions as well. In spite of the fact that most of the students are likely to get employed after they graduate from this school, there will always be some of them, who might continue their studies at a Technical University. Having a sound base of English, ESP will equip students with the relevant professional vocabulary and language skills needed for their further professional studies. The students were 17 up to 18 years old; they’re attending the 12th grade in the secondary Technical High school. The total number was 56. Because of the nature of this school there were more male students than female. This research was realized by the quantitative and qualitative methods through questionnaires I used with my students.
