Abstract:
Safety and reliability assessment of instrumentation and control (I&C) systems used in different safety-critical industries is a responsible and challenging task. Different assessment models recommended by international and national regulatory documents and used by experts worldwide still have disadvantages and limitations. Therefore, studies of assessment model improvements and refinements are essential. This paper proposes that the assessment models be improved by taking into account different architectures of communications both between different systems and within one particular system. In most models, communication lines are considered absolutely reliable, but the analysis performed shows that the communications should be necessarily addressed. Several analytical models are described to assess the reliability of safety-critical systems for nuclear power plants with different communication options.

Abstract:
The variability of companies stakeholders’ engagement forms, communication channels, approaches to disclosure of companies’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) and strategies for CSR achievement cause the formation of benchmarks – patterns of responsible behavior of these companies. Determination of companies’ CSR patterns plays is a ground of (plays a role or is a ground of) improving their strategies for responsible activities. These patterns were highlighted on the basis of comprehensive three-component indicator that illustrates the combination of parameters: models of companies’ communication with stakeholders, approaches to the disclosure of information on CSR and strategies for incorporating CSR and Sustainable Development Goals. Positioning of 22 Ukrainian companies for the period 2005–2017 was made. Results of positioning allowed to determine such clusters of the companies in accordance with the pattern of responsible behavior as А – innovators, B – leaders, C – pursuer, D – followers, E – starters, F – outsiders; to develop the measures on the improvement of their CSR activity.

Abstract:
Reduction of power dissipation in digital circuits is a subject of research in industry and academia. A major component of power dissipation in modern microprocessors is due to their large interconnect networks which are responsible for the distribution of power and clocks as well as for the intra-chip communication. Communication is realized by data and address buses. In this paper we (i) discuss an analytical model for energy estimation in deep submicron buses, (ii) present statistical energy measures based on the analytical model, (iii) derive the energy limits of communication through buses, (iv) and introduce energy efficiency measures of communication.

Abstract:
The ideologeme is responsible for the category of interpersonality in the political discourse. The authors studied ideologemes in blogs published on the Yandex.Zen platform to identify their role in the discursive modeling of the social and personal opinions of the blogger, the recipient, and the political referents. The category of interpersonality revealed two models associated with the transformation of meaning. The first group was connected with recontextualization and included mocking, comparison, and referent replacement. The second group transformed the form and structure of the intentional component of the meaning by adding or replacing an element, as well as by demetaphorizing or secondary metaphorization.

Abstract:
This paper describes the first decade of crowdfunding (CF) experiences carried out in the Spanish university environment from the perspective of social responsibility and determines the impact of their campaigns in solving social problems. To do so, the literature, from traditional patronage practices to current models of micro crowdfunding in the digital environment, allow framing crowdfunding by putting the focus on the relationship of universities with their audiences and the agents involved in the campaigns they launch from 2012 to the present, as part of their purposes with society. To achieve the objectives, a content analysis of the 56 CF campaigns, launched by a dozen Spanish public universities, was carried out. The study concludes that the fluctuations in the evolution and development of university crowdfunding (UCF) and the scarce existence of their own platforms have not yet allowed its consolidation as a tool of their University Social Responsibility (USR). In addition, UCF campaigns in Spain place value on research at the service of society, moving away from philanthropy to exercise social responsibility, although they are generally focused on their internal audiences, so their social impact is limited.

Abstract:
The results showed that parents gave messages (decoding) to adolescents related to character education: religious, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, love of the motherland, mutual respect, communicative, peace-loving, honest , diligent, care for the environment, responsible and social spirit. Parents convey character education to teenagers when they are relaxed, when children are happy, when there is togetherness in the family room, when watching TV or movies, and when playing sports together. Decoding and interpreting adolescents' responses to character education from parents, namely: accepting and rejecting on the grounds that parents consider them like small children, messages that are conveyed are too repetitive, dictate, and are conveyed in front of many people. Communication barriers in parents: style of speaking, time and place. Barriers to communication in adolescents: Mood / Situation, and do not want to act under threat. The Model of Parental Communication in the Character Education of Adolescents in Manado City is a Circular Communication Model, in which the process of parental communication in the character education of adolescents takes place continuously in a circular manner. Each communicator, namely parents and adolescents, will be involved in the process of encoding the message, interpreting the message, as well as receiving and decoding the message in turn.

Abstract:
The current transitions towards fair and sustainable models of social and economic relations represents a vital process for the maintenance of the ecosystems and the ways of inhabiting them. This paper is an empirical and epistemological study whose aim is to consider how to develop a responsible communication strategy with the eco-transitions sector. We take a specific region of Spain, Castilla-La Mancha, as a field of experimentation and case study. The analysis is based on a sample of 55 active eco-transition projects, out of a total census of 156. Our position assumes that communication strategy goes through several phases. Firstly, access to empirical and census-based knowledge of this sector; secondly, establishing a type of indicator that can measure the functioning and internal dynamics of these entities in terms of eco-transition; and thirdly, the expansion of responsible, realistic and proactive media coverage, which can encourage messages that contribute to an ever-increasing number of people moving towards eco-social issues. In order to measure the “internal health” of these entities, including the “communication environment,” we have elaborated and implemented the Eco-Transition Indicator (ETI), a measurement tool that allows us to place a project or initiative within a frame leading towards fair and sustainable models of social and economic relations. While the sector shows good “health” in some aspects, the results point very clearly to the need to strengthen the communicative strategy of the eco-transition initiatives and projects.

Abstract:
On-line communication services were evolving from a simple text-based chats towards sophisticated videopresence appliances. The bandwidth consumption of those services is constantly growing due to the technology development and high user and business needs. That fact leads us to implement optimization mechanisms into the multimedia communication scenarios. In this paper, the authors concentrate on many-to-many (m2m) communication, that is mainly driven by the growing popularity of on-line conferences and telepresence applications. An overlay model where m2m flows are optimally established on top of a given set of network routes is formulated and a joint model where the network routes and the m2m flows are jointly optimized. In the models, the traffic traverses through replica servers, that are responsible for stream aggregation and compression. Models for both predefined replica locations and optimized server settlement are presented. Each model is being followed by a comprehensive description and is based on real teleconference systems.

Abstract:
Purpose Responsible research and innovation (RRI) is taking a role in assisting all types of stakeholders, including industry members, in moving their research and innovation (R&I) initiatives to tackle grand challenges. The literature on RRI, however, focuses little on how industry can implement RRI principles. To solve this gap, the purpose of this study is to construct a conceptual framework for managing and assessing RRI principles in the industry. Design/methodology/approach Qualitative research was used to build the RRI key performance indicator list; 30 interviews were conducted to design a framework which was pilot tested in a company to identify how to align technology outcomes to the values, needs and expectations of the society. Findings This study depicts five successive RRI implementation levels and exhibits RRI key performance indicators. Drawing on extant models, this study develops RRI levels and indicators to discuss why industry should become engaged in RRI, how it can embed RRI principles into R&I processes and how RRI indicators can be managed systematically. Originality/value The connection between RRI key performance indicators and RRI levels determines how industry can integrate principles and methodologies of RRI into R&I processes. The model in the study shows how companies move from one RRI stage to another and this study aims to exhibit an ideal stage of RRI for industry.

Abstract:
Studies of accessibility and impairment face recent glocal cultural change by reconsidering human notion of normality towards new approaches to mobility, communication, and socialisation that had become social priorities. Values of public care and subcultural solidarity now integrate more people suffering through pandemic conditions, as previously mostly impaired, and other socially vulnerable individuals had been addressed by various measures and specific attitudes of resocialisation and cultural adaptation. SARS-2 COVID-19 pandemics in 2020-2021 affected at first those members of society that had already needed special care, including youth, elderly, poor, disabled, migrants, etc. But the effects of pandemic health risks, deficits of social organisation, obstacles to civil protection, public and global reflections on the necessity of lockdowns, intensity of digital communication and infodemics on people unprepared, inexperienced, unaware in such conditions, became also statistically considerable. Therefore both social groups: of previously discriminated or needing special care, and of those who experience or reach such conditions of low equity, require accordingly adequate concern. Authorities, experts, and practitioners, responsible in managing disability and accessibility, are to focus on both general situation and its details, so that adaptation models applicable in these fields can be effective in times of pandemics, and specific measures could become more popular for all people. This paper, based on direct and participant observations, and on previous stages of our research on variety of accessibilities of tourist sites, educational media, and communication technologies, analyses particular cases of social dysfunction and problematic integration potential of spaces and infrastructure and models of organisation of new approaches that would improve resocialisation of people and activities damaged and isolated yet before pandemic. Although pandemic research is rapidly increasing in order to face various scholarly gaps, a more objective and sustainable scope of interest to accessibility is still not locally enough popular, as well as emergent integration studies and initiatives. There is no sufficient fundamentally and practically oriented support to the field, that would result in particular evaluation or regulation methodology, that could be applied and improve current situation. Nevertheless, actualisation of comparative field studies by pandemic situation is highly likely to result in paradigm shifts.

Abstract:
This thematic issue discusses risks, opportunities, and challenges of digital child- and adulthood based on different theoretical and methodological perspectives. It focuses on three topics: First, the challenges children and adolescents face in developing skills for dealing with promotional content are highlighted. Second, several contributions discuss the actions of parents and instructors and their function as role models for children and adolescents. They outline the tension between the consequences of intensive media use by children and adolescents and a responsible approach to digital media as often demanded by parents and teachers. Finally, the last contribution gives an insight into how the political socialization of adolescents can manifest itself in the digital space. The multi-methodological, multi-perspective, and multi-theoretical contributions of this thematic issue illustrate the intergenerational relevance of digital child- and adulthood.

Abstract:
Disclosure of patients’ genetic information to their families is a central bioethical topic in genomic medicine. The issue of disclosure to family is often associated with a balance between patients’ autonomy and confidentiality and beneficence of their relatives. Communicating patients’ genetic risk profiles back to their family members gives them an opportunity to benefit from additional testing, screening and prevention of potential disorder, so that bioethicists have offered a several models of communication with families. There is no unified definition of the term “family” in bioethics or health law, although the concept of “family” has an important position in the history of private law. There are many ambiguities about such issues as “What does ‘family’ mean?”, “How can communication about genetic risks be placed in a framework of family responsibilities?”. The analysis of several cases in genomic medicine carried out in the article allows us to delve into ethical, administrative, and legal details of these issues in genomic medicine. Notions of “disclosure to family,” “intrafamilial disclosure,” “family dynamics” and “the best interests of the child” are discussed in the article in this regard. Various models of disclosure are grounded in different concepts of family and family relations. If we consider the health professional’s duty to warn of risks to be the duty to help family members with exercising their autonomy, the health professional is responsible to family and is not responsible for consequences of disclosure. The notion of relational autonomy (based on recognition of mutual obligations of family members) begins to be discussed in law and bioethics, however, it still lacks the ethical underpinning. The further research could be aimed at developing the ethical concept of dependency in family relations.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to present a research model that examines dependencies of how aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR)—specifically, communication with stakeholders, knowledge management, and strategy—influence the building of a sustainable development model in enterprises. An instrument with four constructs (CSR-communication with stakeholders, CSR-knowledge management, CSR-strategy, and sustainable development) was prepared and served to entities from medium-sized enterprises. The collected data was analyzed by modeling the partial least squares structural equations using the least squares method. The results showed that all three constructs (CSR-communication with stakeholders, CSR-knowledge management, CSR-strategy) were positively and strongly associated with sustainable development model building in enterprises. The practical implications were intended to provide an understanding of behavior related to the development of business models oriented towards sustainable development in the small business sector. Research can help companies identify the advantages and disadvantages of retaining existing users and attracting new users by communicating with stakeholders, managing knowledge, and creating responsible strategies. This study enriches the literature by contributing to general knowledge about creating a model of sustainable development. Social reports on actions for sustainable development are of particular importance, and this topic is also important for the small and medium sized enterprises (SME) sector.

Abstract:
Introduction: Strategic communication plays a decisive role in public health planning and project implementation. However, Portuguese Local Public Health Units, which are responsible for community interventions, still lack guidance models, tools, specialized resources, and training in health communication. The aim of this study was to develop a conceptual model of strategic organizational communication for local public health services, in Portugal. Methods: This study presents a conceptual model of strategic organizational communication for Local Public Health Units, which was developed through a three-round, modified Delphi online panel. Thirty-seven Portuguese specialists in public health, communication, and community members were invited to analyse a proposed framework, based on an up-to-date literature review. High retention rates were observed in all rounds (first = 22 valid participations;second = 21 valid participations; third = 18 valid participations). Results: Most participants believed that Portuguese Public Health Units were not prepared to communicate effectively and that they would benefit from adequate planning and identification of a communication lead or team. Websites and social media were also identified as essential for effective communication. The validated conceptual model integrated different partners in health and in the community, with emphasis on the relationships with the national network of health authorities, other Public Health Units, primary health care units, municipalities, and schools. The preferred channels identified for communicating with these partners included interpersonal relationships, email, and mobile phone. No consensus was obtained for preferred communication channels between Local Public Health Units and the media. Conclusion: Strategic planning based on the proposed conceptual model involving different stakeholders, has potential to improve the effectiveness of internal and external communication and facilitate the implementation of public health programs and projects. The proposed model needs to be validated in Local Public Health Units, considering the potential human, material, and financial constraints.

Abstract:
Acute Cd exposure produces liver injury, whereas chronic Cd exposure damages the kidney but not the liver. Previous experiments suggest that the low-molecular-weight, metal-binding protein metallothionein (MT) in liver protects against liver injury, but is responsible for the kidney injury observed after chronic Cd exposure. Thus, prior to the development of MT-transgenic and MT-knockout mice models, MT's role was always assumed to be a toxicological paradox, hepatoprotection but nephrotoxicity. The development of MT-transgenic and MT-knockout mice models has reconfirmed MT's protective role against Cd-induced hepatotoxicity, but it has challenged MT's suggested role in Cd-induced nephrotoxicity. In this communication, recent data using these genetically altered mice models indicate that MT protects against not only the Cd-induced hepatotoxicity, but also nephrotoxicity, hematotoxicity, immunotoxicity, and bone damage.

Abstract:
The proliferation of net safety discourses in recent years in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom situate the parent at the centre of the family home as the monitor and protector of children and teenagers — Generation MSN — while they ideally acquire skills to become responsible net citizens. This paper considers such discourses to analyse their gendered nature, their underlying assumptions about teenage users and their models of ‘globalised’ parenting. It argues that, in the drive to create and regulate a ‘safe’ internet for young people, such discourses actively produce a new version, for the twenty-first century, of the good parent — for which should be read ‘monitoring mum’.

Abstract:
Objective This study attempts to characterize the inpatient communication network within a quaternary pediatric academic medical center by applying network analysis methods to secure text-messaging data. Methods We used network graphing and statistical software to create network models of an inpatient communication system with secure text-messaging data from physicians, nurses, and other ancillary staff in an academic medical center. Descriptive statistics about the network, users within the network, and visualizations informed the team's understanding of the network and its components. Results Analysis of messages exchanged over approximately 23 days revealed a large, scale-free network with 4,442 nodes and 59,913 edges. Quantitative description of user behavior (messages sent and received) and network metrics (i.e., importance of nodes within a network) revealed several operational and clinical roles both sending and receiving > 1,000 messages over this time period. While some of these nodes represented expected “dispatcher” roles in our inpatient system, others occupied important frontline clinical roles responsible for bedside clinical care. Conclusion Quantitative and network analysis of secure text-messaging logs revealed several key operational and clinical roles at risk for alert fatigue and information overload. This analysis also revealed a communication network highly reliant on these key roles, meaning disruption to these individuals or their workflows could lead to dysfunction of the communication network. While secure text-messaging applications play increasingly important roles in facilitating inpatient communication, little is understood about the impact these systems have on health care providers. Developing methods to understand and optimize communication between inpatient providers might help operational and clinical leaders to proactively prevent poorly understood pitfalls associated with these systems and build resilient and effective communication structures.

Abstract:
Branded Content in Spanish Newspapers: Concept, Organization and Challenges for the Journalists Involved Spending on digital advertising is currently being allocated primarily to social networks and technological platforms that are more effective at segmentation and offer the scalability that advertisers want. Media outlets have responded by introducing new advertising formats that are more qualitative, such as branded content and native advertising, that differentiate them from the aforementioned technological platforms and add more value than display advertising. The aim of this paper is to analyze how the teams that create branded content are structured at six journalistic organizations in Spain (El País, Prensa Ibérica, Vocento, El Confidencial, 20 minutos and El Español). Semi-structured interviews with the individuals responsible for this new advertising alternative were used to analyze how they view this new format, how they are structured, and what ethical and professional challenges they face. The results indicate that branded content has gained importance in the internal structure of media outlets in the form of three models (semi-autonomous, autonomous and basic), and that the professionals involved have embraced this strategy, which has been questioned in the academic arena. Interviewees pointed out that by inserting an appropriate disclaimer in these formats, the credibility of the journalistic brand is not endangered. They believe that branded content and native advertising will become fundamental pillars for their business models.

Abstract:
This research explored the pivotal role of the younger generation in addressing the dangers associated with juvenile delinquency. The study examined the multifaceted benefits of involving youth in preventative and intervention strategies to curb delinquent behaviors. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis, the research highlighted key findings. 1) Early intervention and prevention programs targeting at-risk youth offer a promising approach to disrupting the trajectory of delinquent behaviors. Engaging the younger generation through mentorship, education, and community involvement equips them with essential life skills and values that act as deterrents. 2)The influence of peers and positive role models plays a vital role in shaping behavior. 3) Empowering young individuals to take ownership of change promotes a sense of responsibility and agency. 4) The effective communication methods employed by the youth, such as social media, facilitate the dissemination of anti-delinquency messages. The research emphasized the long-term societal impact of involving the youth. By nurturing responsible, empathetic individuals, society sets the stage for sustained positive change, as engaged youth transition into responsible adults who contribute positively to their communities. Collaborative approaches that involve young individuals in understanding the root causes of delinquency led to more comprehensive solutions. The active involvement of the younger generation through early intervention, positive peer influence, empowerment, effective communication, and community collaboration not only addresses immediate challenges but also shapes a future defined by safer communities and responsible citizenship.

Abstract:
The highest rate at which information may be reliably sent via a communication link is known as its capacity. In the case of non-Gaussian noise, the capacity of the channel depends on the specific characteristics of the noise, which can cause severe errors and reduce the reliability of communication systems over a fading channel. The Gaussian mixture impulsive noise model (GMINM), which is a more general and flexible non-Gaussian model for impulsive noise, has been compared in this paper with the Middleton Class-A impulsive noise model (MCAINM) in terms of derived channel capacity normalized by channel bandwidth (C/BW) with and without Rayleigh fading (Rf) channels. It also investigated the trade-off between complexity and accuracy in modeling the impulsive noise using two simplified Middleton Class-A impulsive noise models based on derived C/BW. The derived C/BW of these models under various conditions, such as different signal-to-noise ratios and impulsive noise parameters and models, have been performed and evaluated using two different scenarios: the exact method and the semi-analytical method. When the impulsive noise parameters and A are both near 0 in GMINM and MCAINM, respectively, the capacity of the impulsive noise channel is found to be equivalent to that of the Gaussian channel sustainable, as shown by the findings based on Monte-Carlo simulations. We have shown that when the impulsive noise decreases, the capacity increases in all models; however, the capacity of Gaussian noise is higher than the capacity of non-Gaussian noise, which in turn is higher than the capacity of non-Gaussian noise over the Rf channel overall values of SNR in dB. Moreover, multi-channel configuration introduces spatial diversity and multiplexing gains that have been proposed to sustainably optimize the ergodic capacity for the challenge case when the channel state information (CSI) is unknown at the transmitter in non-Gaussian noise over Rf channel. In today's rapidly evolving world, sustainable communication systems play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and responsible utilization of resources. As the demand for wireless communication continues to rise, it becomes imperative to optimize the capacity of communication channels, especially in scenarios involving non-Gaussian noise models and fading channels.

Abstract:
Communication through the internet is one of the dominant methods of exchanging information. TCP and UDP are the transport layer protocols responsible for transit of nearly all Internet communications. Due to the growth of real-time audio and video applications, UDP is being used more frequently as a transport protocol, but unlike TCP, UDP has no mechanism for congestion control leading to wasted bandwidth and poor performance, so the DCCP protocol has appeared as a replacement for UDP. In this article, the author performs some simulations using NS2 for Drop Tail and RED queuing models to evaluate the performance of TCP, UDP, DCCP CCID2, and DCCP CCID3 protocols in congested wired networks. The performance metrics used are throughput, end to end delay, number of sent and lost packets. The obtained results show that the DCCP CCID2 performs the best throughput with the minimum of delay as compared to UDP, TCP, and DCCP CCID3.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance communication and stocks’ performance using socially responsible investment (SRI) portfolio management approach. Design/methodology/approach The authors used the multi-factors models to examine the impact of CSR performance communication on the ex post monthly returns of three distinctly formed portfolios as well as their differential performance from 2001 to 2013 in a small economy of New Zealand. Findings The results show that SRS portfolio comprising of the stocks that demonstrate a relatively less proactive approach to the social and environmental concerns outperforms a stock portfolio that comprises of companies that have a relatively proactive approach to stakeholder engagement referred to as SVS portfolio. Furthermore, the authors’ findings show a positive relationship between social performance and market valuation. This indicates that the market values more stakeholder engagement in regard to social issues than environmental issues. Research limitations/implications The authors’ findings imply that the SRI does make perfect financial sense in a small economy such as New Zealand. The perception of the CSR communication as an “insurance” for mitigation of social and environmental risks is one of the factors driving the valuation of SRI portfolios in New Zealand. Originality/value The authors collected CSR data from the publicly available sources such as the annual reports, the CSR reports and sustainability reports because a layman investor is more likely to rely on these sources in a small economy.

Abstract:
Social networking sites provide a new means of communication for disseminating cutting-edge agricultural technologies. These are unmediated interaction channels that enable a user to communicate their experience with technology and generate negative or positive attitudes that impact technology adoption decisions. We employ a machine learning approach to analyse users' existing semantic predisposition for technology adoption in agriculture at various operational levels. While developing attitudes toward technology adoption, these semantic tendencies become an important aspect of users' cognitive decision making. The study scrapes user comments and conversations about agritech on Twitter through data mining. The research also explains the important characteristics that enhance attitude building on Twitter and are responsible for reinforcing decision making among information seekers using four machine learning models. Based on the results, the research recommends strategies to managers for better communication with agriculturists and enhancement of users' decision making.

Abstract:
Latent variable models (LVMs) for neural population spikes have revealed informative low-dimensional dynamics about the neural data and have become powerful tools for analyzing and interpreting neural activity. However, these approaches are unable to determine the neurophysiological meaning of the inferred latent dynamics. On the other hand, emerging evidence suggests that dynamic functional connectivities (DFC) may be responsible for neural activity patterns underlying cognition or behavior. We are interested in studying how DFC are associated with the low-dimensional structure of neural activities. Most existing LVMs are based on a point process and fail to model evolving relationships. In this work, we introduce a dynamic graph as the latent variable and develop a Variational Dynamic Graph Latent Variable Model (VDGLVM), a representation learning model based on the variational information bottleneck framework. VDGLVM utilizes a graph generative model and a graph neural network to capture dynamic communication between nodes that one has no access to from the observed data. The proposed computational model provides guaranteed behavior-decoding performance and improves LVMs by associating the inferred latent dynamics with probable DFC.

Abstract:
Sustainable business models in satellite telecommunications represent a critical paradigm shift in the industry, integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions into operations. This review explores the evolving landscape of sustainable practices within satellite telecommunications, addressing the pressing need for eco-conscious strategies in an era of accelerating technological advancement. The burgeoning demand for satellite telecommunications services, driven by global connectivity needs, underscores the significance of sustainability in the industry. Traditional business models have often prioritized profit margins over environmental and social impacts. However, emerging trends emphasize the adoption of sustainable practices to mitigate carbon footprints, reduce electronic waste, and promote equitable access to communication services. Innovations in satellite technology, such as the development of small satellites and advancements in propulsion systems, offer opportunities to enhance sustainability. Miniaturization of satellites decreases launch mass, leading to reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. Additionally, advancements in electric propulsion systems contribute to fuel efficiency and prolong satellite lifespan, thereby reducing space debris. Furthermore, sustainable business models in satellite telecommunications encompass social responsibility initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide. Collaborative efforts between satellite operators, governments, and non-profit organizations facilitate the provision of affordable and accessible connectivity to underserved regions, fostering socio-economic development and empowering marginalized communities. The integration of sustainability into satellite telecommunications business models not only aligns with environmental and social imperatives but also presents economic benefits. Cost efficiencies realized through fuel savings, extended satellite lifespan, and market expansion in underserved regions enhance long-term profitability and resilience in a competitive industry landscape. The transition towards sustainable business models in satellite telecommunications represents a pivotal evolution towards a more responsible and inclusive industry, balancing profitability with environmental stewardship and social equity. Abstract:
It is well-established that problem gambling results, in part, from erroneous perceptions about the probability of winning. While individuals retain the ultimate responsibility over gambling choices and level of participation, optimal decision-making depends, among other factors, on the availability of reliable, comprehensive information. From a public health perspective, the gaming industry, in collaboration with government and the community, must ensure that individuals receive sufficient information to enable them to make responsible gambling choices. This paper reviews key decision-making models and posits four primary goals that will lead to optimal choices in gambling: (a) the provision of relevant and objective information; (b) elucidation of the benefits of responsible gambling as well as potential social and personal costs of excessive gambling; (c) additional materials targeted to specific gambling subgroups; and (d) the use of a variety of communication mediums to disseminate materials. Implications for further research and public information campaigns are discussed.

Abstract:
Currently, in modern society, the purchase of certain brands provides an individual with social interaction, serves to correlate their own actions with the actions of the desired social groups, brands serve as agents of socialization, and the possession ofcertain brands becomes a tool for join-ing certain communities and at the same time a means of distancing from other communi-ties. In addition, brands initiate the transformation of the existing value system in society. The article con-siders technological and socio-cultural changes leading to the formation of new post-material values in society. The purpose of the work is to identify a set of modern communication technologies that allow domestic companies to more successfully implement their own projects. To achieve this goal, the author solved the following tasks: technological and socio-cultural changes leading to the for-mation of new post-material values in society were considered;the relationship between the ongo-ing changes and the transformation of consumer behavior and marketing communications was shown;the positive practice of attracting attention to a particular social problem by a particular brand was identified and analyzed. As a result of the research, the author considered the communi-cation campaigns of famous brands, which were able to change the society's views on behavioral models, consciousness and worldview of people. The author's contribution consists in highlighting, based on the analysis, the main social problems to which modern brand communications are devoted:problems of climate change (including environmental protection, maintaining sustainable develop-ment as a result of abandoning the use of plastic packaging, recycling, carbon neutrality, etc., reduc-ing emissions, rational use of natural resources and the introduction of innovative practices and technologies, responsible consumption in general); problems of gender inequality; problems of ste-reotypes in the perception of appearance; problems of timely diagnosis of diseases and attention to the state of one's health in general. The result of the analysis was the identification of the necessary conditions for the success of the brand's communication campaign: connection with the brand's field of activity, its philosophy and values, the brand's own vision of ways to solve the social problem identified by it, etc., as a set of procedures (an interconnected sequence of actions) of communication technologies.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) require life-long management by gastroenterology (GI) and primary care providers (PCP). Guidelines exist outlining recommended healthcare services, but it is unclear which provider is responsible for which tasks, and what parents prefer. Aims To understand perceptions of healthcare quality and delivery for children with IBD, describe barriers to receiving comprehensive healthcare, and elicit preferences for how care would ideally be delivered. Methods Cross-sectional survey of parents of children ages 2–17 with IBD at a large, free-standing children’s hospital, recruited via an institutional research registry. Surveys assessed patient medical history, family demographics, perceptions of health care quality and delivery, barriers to primary and GI care, and preferences for care receipt. Results 217 parents were recruited, 214 consented, and 161 completed the survey (75% response). Mean patient age 14 years (SD 3); 51% male; 80% Crohn’s, 16% ulcerative colitis, and 4% indeterminate colitis. Most parents were Caucasian (94%), had a bachelor’s degree or higher (61%), and lived in a suburban setting (57%). Most had private insurance (43%) or private primary and public secondary insurance (34%). Most parents (N=149, 94%) thought the GI doctor was responsible for their child’s IBD care, and 8 (6%) reported shared responsibility by the GI doctor and PCP. 113 (71%) said their child’s PCP was responsible for primary care, 8 (5%) said GI doctor, and 37 (23%) said both. 95% of parents were confident in their GI doctor’s primary care knowledge, and 81% with their PCP’s IBD knowledge. 89% were satisfied with their communication with the PCP, and 98% were satisfied with their communication with the GI doctor. 53% did not know how well their PCP and GI doctors were communicating with each other. Only 4% of parents reported unmet healthcare needs, but those who did cited inadequate family support and mental health services. The greatest barriers to PCP care were lack of continuity with providers (22%) and scheduling (24%). The greatest barriers to GI care were scheduling (38%) and traveling to appointments (29%). Parent preferences for specific health care service delivery are found in Figure 1. Conclusions Parents of children with IBD are satisfied with provider knowledge and communication skills with them, though most are unaware how well their PCP and GI doctor are communicating with each other. Healthcare needs are being met for most patients in our cohort, but parents cite different barriers to primary vs. specialty care, and mental health services in particular are lacking. Parents seem to support co-management between their child’s PCP and GI provider. Understanding parent perspectives is essential to the development of family-centered healthcare delivery models for children with IBD.

Abstract:
Background: Few studies in mathematics education have been looking at the new dynamics of communication with focus on the analysis of speeches propagated by false news. This social phenomenon is worrying: news that uses mathematical arguments to guide, shape, and reflect public opinion and popular thinking based on misleading information. Objectives: The aim of this investigation was to understand the role of mathematics education in the process of strengthening democracy. Data collection and analysis: A video published on a YouTube channel, in which mathematical arguments are used to convince public opinion about a certain point of view, was the object of the study whose result is presented in this paper. Design: With theoretical-methodological procedures that are based on the pragmatic theory of fixation of beliefs and on the verification of the mathematical content, the analysis adopted a qualitative approach. Setting and Participants: This is a study about a video considered false by news agencies, aired by a famous Brazilian journalist. Results: The study of fake news and desinformation scenario has allowed us to observe that mathematical speeches linked to the ideology of mathematical certainty are responsible for the establishment of beliefs and the formation of opinions by authority and tenacity methods. Conclusions: We conclude that mathematical models and mathematical discourses used in virtual communication environments can be responsible for camouflaging the human factor in political decisions and obscuring the visibility of ethical and morality variables.

Abstract:
Who is responsible for protest mobilization? Models of disease and information diffusion suggest that those central to a social network (the core) should have a greater ability to mobilize others than those who are less well-connected. To the contrary, this article argues that those not central to a network (the periphery) can generate collective action, especially in the context of large-scale protests in authoritarian regimes. To show that those in the core of a social network have no effect on levels of protest, this article develops a dataset of daily protests across 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa over 14 months from 2010 through 2011. It combines that dataset with geocoded, individual-level communication from the same period and measures the number of connections of each person. Those on the periphery are shown to be responsible for changing levels of protest, with some evidence suggesting that the core’s mobilization efforts lead to fewer protests. These results have implications for a wide range of social choices that rely on interdependent decision making.

Abstract:
Abstract In women, type 1 diabetes is associated with an increased risk of poor prenatal outcomes such as congenital anomalies and early miscarriage. In murine models of type 1 diabetes, impaired oocyte meiotic maturation, abnormal oocyte metabolism, and increased granulosa cell apoptosis have been noted. because gap junction communication is critical for the regulation of oocyte growth and meiotic maturation, we investigated the level of communication between the oocyte and surrounding cumulus cells in a streptozotocin-induced type 1 diabetic B6SJL/F1 mouse model and the expression of gap junction proteins known as connexins. Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching analyses of cumulus cell-enclosed oocytes (CEOs) from diabetic mice showed a 60% decrease in communication as compared with CEOs from nondiabetic mice. Real-time RT-PCR analyses confirmed the presence of Cx26, Cx37, and Cx57 mRNA and revealed a significant decrease in Cx37 mRNA expression in oocytes from diabetic mice compared with nondiabetic mice. Western analyses detected Cx26 expression in CEO but not denuded oocyte (DO) samples, and Cx37 in DO samples. Cx26 protein levels were decreased by 78% in CEOs from diabetic mice, and Cx37 protein levels were decreased 36% in DOs from diabetic mice. This decrease in connexin expression and gap junction communication in CEOs from diabetic mice may be responsible for the impaired oocyte meiotic maturation and poor pregnancy outcomes.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the specifics and transformation of business models in modern light industry in the context of robotization. It was revealed that the subjects of the light industry and the fashion industry are focused on the production of social relations, including the formation of needs and mechanisms for the recognition and social reproduction of the sign system, the construction of the connection of manufactured goods with the generally accepted sign system, management of the mechanisms of access of various groups of the population to sign goods. Against the background of the spread of the business model of fast fashion, the development of which was facilitated by social (the formation of a consumer society), economic (economic growth in the second half of the 20th century and the growth of welfare) and technological (robotization, the development of transport and information and communication technologies) factors, new business models are formed according to the principles of responsible consumption. It has been proven that in the short and medium term, their widespread and growth are unlikely, and the recycling strategies of fabric and clothing manufacturers will remain peripheral. As a result, it was found that even in radically different business models, the production of social relations is fundamental, and capitalization is carried out through the conversion of cultural, symbolic and reputation capital into economic capital.

Abstract:
Youth internal assets and external resources are protective factors that can help youth avoid potentially harmful behaviors. This study investigates how the relationship between youth assets or resources and two sexual risk behaviors (ever had sex and birth control use) varied by gender. Data were collected through in-home interviews from parent—adolescent dyads, including 1,219 females and 1,116 males. Important differences exist between male and female adolescents. Females with the nonparental role models or the family communication resource were more likely to report never having had sexual intercourse than were females without the resources. Among males, the aspirations for the future and responsible choices assets were associated with never having had sexual intercourse. Males and females had two assets or resources in common that were protective of never having had sex: peer role models and use of time (religion). Considering which youth assets and resources are more likely to positively influence sexual behaviors of males and females may be important when planning prevention programs with youth.

Abstract:
The Canadian Genomics Partnership for Rare Diseases, spearheaded by Genome Canada, will integrate genome-wide sequencing to rare disease clinical care in Canada. Centralized and tiered models of data stewardship are proposed to ensure that the data generated can be shared for secondary clinical, research, and quality assurance purposes in compliance with ethics and law. The principal ethico-legal obligations of clinicians, researchers, and institutions are synthesized. Governance infrastructures such as registered access platforms, data access compliance offices, and Beacon systems are proposed as potential organizational and technical foundations of responsible rare disease data sharing. The appropriate delegation of responsibilities, the transparent communication of rights and duties, and the integration of data privacy safeguards into infrastructure design are proposed as the cornerstones of rare disease data stewardship.

Abstract:
Based on the case study of an SME company in the United Kingdom (which we will call SweetStar Cloud), this paper examines the attempts of the company to achieve significant strategic change. The company is attempting to move from being a tradition managed service provider of Information Services towards becoming a significant influencer in the market for digital services in the UK. As part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), a local UK University has been closely involved in developing this new strategic direction and it is well poised to present and analyse the story. From the use of tried and tested strategic tools, including Porter’s Generic Strategies and segmentation and targeting, the company has also embraced digital-specific approaches for developing partnerships with clients, developing pilot projects and experimenting with its use of social media. At the heart of this research is an analysis of the move from push marketing towards models of attraction. This paper aims to explore how traditional strategic tools are still applicable in the digital era alongside new tactical approaches in the digital sector. This aim has led to an approach to business that is responsible, in terms of moving away from a traditional push-selling model to one of partnership with customers at a strategic level. Strategy in dynamic markets often highlights responsiveness as a key success factor. The ability to respond (a response-ability) requires more agile companies. As SweetStar Cloud has developed its strategy, it has focused in achieving this more effective ability to respond through a more collaborative approach. In this sense, agile response-ability converges with business responsibility, as new abilities in communication, cooperation and trust development become key.

Abstract:
This article aims to examine the research trends in the development of mobile networks from machine learning. The methodological approach starts from an analysis of 260 academic documents selected from the Scopus and Web of Science databases and is based on the parameters of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. Quantity, quality and structure indicators are calculated in order to contextualize the documents’ thematic evolution. The results reveal that, in relation to the publications by country, the United States and China, who are competing for fifth generation (5G) network coverage and are responsible for manufacturing devices for mobile networks, stand out. Most of the research on the subject focuses on the optimization of resources and traffic to guarantee the best management and availability of a network due to the high demand for resources and greater amount of traffic generated by the many Internet of Things (IoT) devices that are being developed for the market. It is concluded that thematic trends focus on generating algorithms for recognizing and learning the data in the network and on trained models that draw from the available data to improve the experience of connecting to mobile networks.

Abstract:
Using Drosophila melanogaster, we created the first animal models for myosin-based Freeman–Sheldon syndrome (FSS), a dominant form of distal arthrogryposis defined by congenital facial and distal skeletal muscle contractures. Electron microscopy of homozygous mutant indirect flight muscles showed normal (Y583S) or altered (T178I, R672C) myofibril assembly followed by progressive disruption of the myofilament lattice. In contrast, all alleles permitted normal myofibril assembly in the heterozygous state but caused myofibrillar disruption during aging. The severity of myofibril defects in heterozygotes correlated with the level of flight impairment. Thus our Drosophila models mimic the human condition in that FSS mutations are dominant and display varied degrees of phenotypic severity. Molecular modeling indicates that the mutations disrupt communication between the nucleotide-binding site of myosin and its lever arm that drives force production. Each mutant myosin showed reduced in vitro actin sliding velocity, with the two more severe alleles significantly decreasing the catalytic efficiency of actin-activated ATP hydrolysis. The observed reductions in actin motility and catalytic efficiency may serve as the mechanistic basis of the progressive myofibrillar disarray observed in the Drosophila models as well as the prolonged contractile activity responsible for skeletal muscle contractures in FSS patients.

Abstract:
This article discusses the problem of ensuring the protection of user data in information systems. It is shown that classic information systems are represented by stationary and mobile communication devices focused on data exchange with digital space. The fundamental principles of user data exchange in the digital space are considered. It has been established that leading technology IT corporations collect data from user communication devices. It is shown that the organization of data collection is carried out by redirecting the DNS traffic of the communication device to the DNS servers of IT corporations, followed by its encryption using the DoH protocol. This makes it impossible for authorized services and departments of national states to control the users’ DNS traffic and ensures the monopoly position of IT corporations in the global digital market for collecting and analyzing user data. It is shown that the collection of user data is carried out with the aim of further monetization and influencing decisions made by users. DNS traffic of devices for communication with the digital space of the Internet is fixed. An audit of the recorded DNS traffic was performed, and as a result, specialized Internet resources were identified to be responsible for collecting and processing user data. It has been proved that the identified specialized Internet resources belong to IT corporations. Methods of identification of communication devices in digital space were considered. It is shown that the identification of communication devices is based on the collection of a unique set of data from each communication device. Based on each unique data set, a digital fingerprint of the communication device is formed, which is used for its further identification in the digital space. These approaches allow organizing protection against user data collection in information systems. Software and hardware implementations for protection against data collection from communication devices are proposed. It has been experimentally established that the combined use of the proposed software and hardware models provides the most effective protection against data collection from communication devices and does not affect the functionality of information systems.

Abstract:
Communication management in sports organizations requires not only the use of formal tools, such as an official website, fan page or official TV channel. Effective communication should also be based on informal methods, in which the main role is played by interactions between the sports organization and its stakeholders. One such form is viral marketing, which involves sharing files with humorous, social or image content on social networks, messengers, blogs and e-mail. In the case of such forms, due to the wide range and speed of spreading opinions, especially negative ones, about the company, its services or products, it becomes necessary to control the emerging opinions. Management of information with a viral potential allows you to reach stakeholders in an informal way, influencing the building of a positive image, response in crisis situations or creating communities. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the degree of viral marketing use in sports clubs. The research was conducted in October 2021 on different social media. However, due to the extensive scope of the research, this paper focuses on the social network Facebook. The research is concerned with determining the use of viral marketing potential in information management and identifying the characteristics of this form of influencing stakeholders. Due to the limited volume of the article, the main subject of the study is the Polish clubs of the highest level of competition against the background of examples from abroad. The main hypothesis of this article assumes that Polish clubs do not fully use the viral potential and communication activities are based on official messages. Communication management is based on peer benchmarking and replication of what others are doing. It is also assumed that departments responsible for communication in sports clubs do not fully use foreign models.

Abstract:
The scientific consensus on the existence, the human origin, the seriousness of the consequences and the urgency of adopting immediate solutions to climate change is growing, as successive reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have shown. The alteration of global climate patterns experienced in recent years confirms the worst prediction models, and yet there are still voices that question these facts. This study proposes to examine the interpretative frameworks underpinning public discussion of climate denialism on the online video platform YouTube. To this end, it presents an analysis of the 50 most popular videos under the label of climate denialism in Spanish, paying attention to the key issues and figures on which the denialist ideology is articulated and the attitude of support, neutrality or rejection on the part of those responsible for the content. The results obtained show the generalized rejection of the denialist discourse among Spanish-speaking content creators, who resort to experienced sources and contrasted resources to refute these arguments, as well as the politicization of scientific knowledge in terms of debate, uncertainty, mistrust and lack of commitment to deal with the consequences.

Abstract:
The Internet has a huge amount of information when it comes to analysis, much of which is valuable and significant. Arabic Sentiment Analysis (SA) is a method responsible for analyzing people’s thoughts, feelings, and responses to a variety of products and services on social networking and commercial sites. Several researchers utilize sentiment analysis to determine the opinions of customers in various areas, including e-marketing, business, and other fields. Deep learning (DL) is a useful technology for developing sentiment analysis models to improve e-marketing operations. There are a few studies targeting Arabic sentiment analysis (ASA) in e-marketing using deep learning algorithms. Due to a number of difficulties in the Arabic language, such as the language’s morphological features, the diversity of dialects, and the absence of suitable corpora, sentiment analysis on Arabic material is restricted. In this paper, we will compare several Arabic sentiment analysis models. Also, we discuss the deep learning algorithms that are employed in Arabic sentiment analysis. The domain of the collected papers is Arabic sentiment analysis in e-marketing using deep learning. Our first contribution is to introduce and present deep learning models that are used in ASA. Secondly, investigate and study Arabic datasets utilized for Arabic sentence analysis. We create and develop a new Arabic dataset for Saudi Arabian communication companies, namely Sara-Dataset, to increase the quality and quantity of their services. Third, each collected study is assessed in terms of its methodology, contributions, deep learning techniques, performance, Arabic datasets in emarketing, and potential improvements in developing Arabic sentiment analysis models. Fourth, we analyzed several papers’ performance in terms of accuracy, F-measure, recall, pre-procession, and area under the curve (AUC). Also, our comparative analysis includes feature selection (e.g., domain-specific selection) methods that are used in Arabic sentiment analysis. Fifth, we also discuss how to improve Arabic sentiment analysis using preprocessing techniques (e.g., word embedding). Finally, we provide a design model for analyzing Arabic sentiment about communications services provided by Saudi Arabian enterprises.
