Abstract:
This article examines the cultural resistance and sharia-based environmental management in the fishing community in Aceh Timur Raya, Indonesia. Aceh is a fascinating Indonesian region as the country’s implementer of Islamic law. To date, Aceh’s environment has yet to become an issue that needs to be immediately addressed. This study is classified as field-library research with a qualitative analysis. The data were collected using interviews, documentation, and observations of fishermen’s environment in Aceh Timur Raya. These data were analyzed using a sociological approach, social theories, power-knowledge relations, and habitus. This study found several important reasons why there could be damage to Aceh Timur Raya’s ecosystems. This article has produced several vital findings; First, the absence of the role of religion in maintaining and building an ecological culture in the fishing community. Second, the attitude of indifference among the fishing community towards the environment. Third, the politicization of environmental care. These three pieces of evidence state that cultural resistance and sharia-based environmental management in Aceh threaten the community's survival, especially fishermen who rely heavily on nature. Islamic law has not been able to base its teachings on the environment that must be preserved and developed.

Abstract:
In the present, the younger generation is far from the heroic span of '45 (the value of nationalism or the value of the spirit of our patriot nationality in 1945), it leds us to the problem of waning the spirit of nationalism and patriotism among the younger generation. In Aceh, the influence of prolonged conflict has an influence on the views of groups society in Aceh towards the existence of Indonesian country. It can be seen from discourse on secession (Aceh) from Indonesia country. Besides that, there are various actions show resistance to the Pancasila. On the other hand, in Riau, although there is no history of conflict like in Aceh, but an issue about 'Riau Independence' is already spreaded. Hence, in this study, a description of youth's nationalism spirit in Aceh and Riau will be presented, and it offers several solutions to reconstruct youth's nationalism spirit in Aceh and Riau

historical perspective and its relation to peacebuilding. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study model. The data in this study were sourced from various documents and literature that were relevant to the study. The results showed that the autonomy and privileges of Aceh were the fruit of the resistance carried out by the Acehnese people against the Indonesian government. Hence, these privileges changed from time to time according to the level of resistance and political negotiations that took place. However, the autonomy and privileges that had been achieved and formalized in Aceh's socio-political context were unable to have a maximum positive impact on the peacebuilding that leads the Aceh people gaining sustainable wellbeing.

Abstract:
Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation plus the role of conservation, sustainable forest management, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+) has rapidly become a dominant approach in mitigating climate change. Building on the Foucauldian governmentality literature and drawing on a case study of Ulu Masen Project in Aceh, Indonesia, this article examines the practices of subject making through which REDD+ seeks to enroll local actors, a research area that remains relatively underexplored. It interrogates the ways in which local actors react, resist or maneuver within these efforts, as they negotiate multiple subject positions. Interviews and focus group discussions combined with an analysis of documents show that the subject making processes proceed at a complex conjuncture constituted and shaped by political, economic and ecological conditions within the context of Aceh. The findings also suggest that the agency of communities in engaging, negotiating and even contesting the REDD+ initiative is closely linked to the history of their prior engagement in conservation and development initiatives. Communities are empowered by their participation in REDD+, although not always in the ways expected by project implementers and conservation and development actors. Furthermore, communities' political agency cannot be understood by simply examining their resistance toward the initiative; these communities have also been skillful in playing multiple roles and negotiating different subjectivities depending on the situations they encounter. Keywords: REDD+, subject-making, agency, resistance, Indonesia, Aceh

Abstract:
<p>This article examines the experience of Acehnese female victims of sexual violence seeking justice through Qanun Jinayat (Islamic criminal bylaw) in Aceh, Indonesia. The empirical data in this study were collected through in-depth interviews with the victims and families related to the cases of sexual violence. By employing the narrative agency, this article argues that telling the experience of seeking justice is a way female victims of sexual violence express their resistance to the implementation of Qanun Jinayat in Aceh. Regarding this, we will show that Aceh’s Qanun Jinayat, which was originally implemented to eradicate sexual violence, turns out to have limitations in realizing the desired goals. This finding ultimately confirms that the concept of legal pluralism adopted in Aceh, Indonesia, has liminality in facilitating justice for women and other marginalized communities.</p>

Abstract:
For centuries, trading companies and colonial officials have sought to manipulate indigenous Asian kingdoms by banishing recalcitrant elites, thereby discouraging resistance and ensuring compliance. Less examined by scholars is how colonial officials adapted this tool in their efforts to manage mobility and achieve territorialisation at the turn of the twentieth century. Applying Josiah Heyman and Howard Campbell's framework of “re-territorialisation” to make sense of how states harness mobile flows for the purpose of redrawing boundaries and producing new political spaces, this article will examine Dutch strategies for incorporating the sultanate of Aceh into the Netherlands East Indies. Site of an infamous multi-decade war of insurgency and pacification between 1873 and the early 1900s, this Sumatran kingdom had long resisted imperial subjugation. Dutch authorities eventually moved to complete its elusive ambition of conquest by leveraging distance and forcibly sending Acehnese elites to “training schools” in Java. By fusing exile with pedagogy, colonial officials hoped to transform Acehnese elites into loyal servants of the colonial centre. Rancorous debates about the deposed Acehnese sultan, however, illustrated the limitations of such re-territorialisation schemes and the resiliency of alternative Asian geographies.

Abstract:
Candidiasis has become increasingly widespread in the community alongside with the developing resistance of Candida sp. to some antifungals. A prevalence study in the present research is required to surveil the distribution of Candida-related infections to administrate the appropriate antifungal treatments. The objective of this research was to determine the species distribution of candidiasis with their antifungal susceptibility isolated from clinical specimens at the Zainoel Abidin Hospital (ZAH) Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The clinical specimens were from inpatients and outpatients in the hospital during January to June 2019. The identification of Candida species and antifungal sensitivity assay were conducted by using VITEK® 2 Compact. Of a total of 68 isolates, there were six species of Candida with the highest species prevalence was Candida tropicalis (52.94%). Additionally, the highest prevalence of candidiasis came from urine specimen (54.41%) and mostly from inpatients in the internal medicine unit (54.41%). Candidiasis occurred predominantly in men (58.82%) and during adulthood (55.88%). The antibiogram of Candida sp. shows a high percentage of sensitivity towards some antifungals including fluconazole (100%), voriconazole (100%), caspofungin (100%), micafungin (100%), amphotericin B (99.5%), and flucytosine (100%). From this result, it can be concluded that candidiasis cases in the ZAH Banda Aceh, Indonesia has prevalently occurred with the few antifungal therapies for candidiasis of were still effective empirically and definitively. This is an initial study of Candida prevalence within different clinical samples in Banda Aceh and the study is expected to be a basis for prevention and control of Candida-related infections in the area.

Abstract:
This article draws attention to the case of Aceh to analyse the mechanisms through which ideologically driven geographic imaginings obscured the role of place and class in colonial and anti-colonial violence in Indonesia. Its main perspective is the region's West Coast. In the course of the long and brutal Dutch-Acehnese war (1873–1942), the West Coast of Sumatra was transformed from a dynamic centre of trade, commerce, and religious renewal into a colonial frontier. Violent resistance persisted in this area as the Dutch involved themselves in and exacerbated local contestations for authority and resources. Colonial discourse worked to conceal these complexities, foregrounding an image of the West Coast as a remote, backwards, and inherently dangerous place, prone to a violent Muslim millenarianism.

In 2001, using violent junctures in the life of a seventy-year-old Indonesian as a metaphor for the whole nation, Benedict Anderson summarized the history of violence in Indonesia in a poignant manner:A seventy year old Indonesian woman or man today will have observed and/or directly experienced the following: as a primary school age child, the police-state authoritarianism of … Dutch colonial rule …; as a young teenager, the wartime Japanese military regime, which regularly practiced torture in private and executions in public …; on the eve of adulthood, four years (1945–49) of popular struggle for national liberation … at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives; as a young mother or father … the cataclysm of 1965–66, when at least 600,000 and perhaps as many as two million people … were slaughtered by the military; in the middle age, the New Order police-state, and its bloody attempt to annex East Timor, which cost over 200,000 East Timorese lives …; in old age, the spread of armed resistance in … Aceh and West Papua, the savage riots of May 1998 … and … the outbreak of ruthless internecine confessional warfare in the long peaceful Moluccas. Abstract:
Despite many ratifications of international agreement on gender equality by Indonesia, the women still face many kinds of gender-based discrimination. In Aceh’s communities there found a resistance to gender equality due to the contradicting value with religion and culture. Education, in the other hand, could play an important role to reduce gender inequality, but should be incorporated with the changing in religion and culture. Aceh in history, was never out of stock producing women leaders (heroine), most prominently Ratu Safiatudin, Laksamana Malahayati, and Cut Nyak Dien. Aceh heroine narrative was found to be a potential tool to tackle inequality among men and women. This study suggests three major findings regarding the exposure: 1) There was a lacking of integrated gender equality education in the narratives, 2) The cognitive dissonance occurrence and 3) The exposure motivated boys to be more competitive against girls. Overall, the exposure of Aceh heroine narratives gave positive effect for boys to increase their competitiveness and acknowledge women’s capabilities, meanwhile for girls they became inspired in pursuing their dreams and even to lead.

Abstract:
Aceh is one of the most earthquake-prone regions in Indonesia. It is, therefore, essential to design seismic resistance structures according to applicable standards. To reduce damage to building structures, the Indonesian government has updated the seismic-resistant design code for building and non-building structures. The seismic resistant design standard has been updated from SNI 03-1726-2012 to SNI 03-1726-2019 due to a significant change in spectrum response data. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the impacts on the seismic base shear and the cross-sectional area of columns, beams, and tie beams of buildings in 23 regencies in Aceh Province based on SNI 03-1726-2012 and SNI 03-1726-2019. A typical five-story office building with medium-type soil is used in the study. For structural analysis, a particular moment-resistant frame was considered. The determination of the design response spectra is carried out by using coordinates and soil types through the website “indo spectra”. The method used is spectrum response analysis. Some different requirements in the two standards include the spectrum response curve, mass participation, and dynamic base shear. The study’s results revealed that the dynamic base shear in Sabang City had grown by 192.05 percent. Aceh Barat Daya Regency was observed to have the smallest increase in dynamic base shear, which was only 8.16 percent. The required cross-sectional area of structural columns, beams, and tie beams in Sabang City increased by 96%, 40%, and 44.44%, respectively; in the meantime, the required cross-sectional area of columns, beams, and tie beams in several regencies in Aceh province remained unchanged.

Abstract:
The phenomena of Islamic Defence Action (ABI) has been raising two argumentations: Firstly, the strengthening of religious conservatism. Secondly, ABI is better organized by conservative group and Muslim middle class such as Muslim student activist. One of the agenda is propagating ABI’s ideas at various regions in Indonesia which used to campaign a slogan “It’s time for Muslims resurgence”, such as in Solo, Aceh, Medan, Yogyakarta, Palembang and other areas. This article argues that ABI at Islamic student activists becomes plasticity as a religious discourse but instability as a common identity to shape a new Islamic social movement agenda in Pontianak. This research focuses on how to understand the forms of engagement and resistance to ABI in context of strengthening pluralism and religious tolerance in Pontianak.

Abstract:
This research discusses the proliferation of underage beggars in Banda Aceh, the capital of the Aceh province, Indonesia. This case confronts the local law, namely Qanun No. 11 of 2013 articles 45 and paragraphs 46. The focus of this study was to identify the effectiveness of direct and indirect monitoring and inspecting of underage beggars in this capital city, and at the same time to observe the obstacles encountered in handling this issue. A qualitative method was employed in collecting the data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the investigation affirmed that the obstacle in overcoming beggars is the unavailability of social rehabilitation centers. Besides, beggars who are caught are only managed after they are released, then they repeat their actions because they are constrained by their daily needs. The patrol work carried out by the Office of Social Affairs often battled with resistance, such as when they rebelled and tried to escape in order to be caught by the officers. Most beggars in the capital city of Aceh are categorized as children and elderly people so that when conducting training, it is difficult to give punishment like to other beggars. Furthermore, the minimal budget provided by the government to curb beggars also becomes a challenge, especially to control underage beggars with routine patrols.

Abstract:
Lam Apeng is a village with a majority of people living as farmers, which causes the need of water for agriculture is increasing. The water demand in this area continues to increase as the population increases, for various purposes. The objective of this study is to determine the distribution of the groundwater layer using the electrical resistivity method and to determine groundwater potential using hydraulic parameters. This research is conducted using 2 measurement line with a length of each line is 112 meters and distances of each electrode is 2 meters. The data invert using Res2Dinv software to obtain 2D subsurface lithology subsurface. At line 1, the aquifer (sand) layer is located in the second layer with a rock resistivity value of 12 Ωm - 18.6 Ωm at a depth of 8 m - 18 m. At line 2, the aquifer (sand) layer is also located in the second layer with a resistivity value of 4.6 Ωm - 18 Ωm at a depth of 5 m – 12 m. Based on the interpretation of the two measurement lines, it can be concluded that the type of aquifer in the research site is a semi unconfined aquifer. In this study, hydraulic parameters (hydraulic conductivity, longitudinal conductance, transverse resistance, and transmissivity) was calculated based on the resistivity value and the thickness of the aquifer layer. The average resistivity of the aquifer layer used is 15.3 Ωm and 11.3 Ωm, respectively for line 1 and line 2, indicating that the aquifer was moderately corrosive. Longitudinal conductance values are 0.65 Ω-1 and 0.62 Ω-1 which indicated moderate protective capacity. The transmissivity values are 6.78 m2/dayand 4.77 m2/day, which indicates that the designation in this area is low and the groundwater potential is local or only for personal consumption.

In Indonesia, there are two types of patchouliplants, i.e. Pogostemon cablin locally known as Nilam Aceh andPogostemon heyneanus known as Nilam Java or wild Nilam. P. cablin iswidely cultivated because it contains highly patchouli alcohol. However, P.cablin is susceptible to the pathogen. The aim of the current research wasto evaluate the resistance of three released patchouli varieties of P. cablinand a wild species of P. heyneanus. The three patchouli varieties testedwere Lhokseumawe, Sidikalang, and Tapak Tuan of P. cablin; whereas thewild variety was Girilaya of P. heyneanus. The test was conducted inlaboratory and green house using infected stem and leaves of patchouli assource of inoculum. Four nodes healthy cuttings of patchouli plant weregrown in plastic pots and boxes containing water and sterilized soil asplanting media, respectively. In the laboratory experiment, the cuttingswere inserted into hollowed sponge then placed on the surface of water inpots (7.5 cm diameter, and ± 350 ml). The source of inoculum (2 g) wasplaced in center of the pots. In the green house experiment, the cuttingswere planted into sterilized soil (mix of soil and compost in 1:1 ratio) inboxes (30 x 25 cm 2 ). The space between two rows of cuttings was 5 cm,and 1 cm within the row. The source of inoculum was placed between tworows of tested cuttings. The tested plants were covered with plastic bag tomaintain its humidity for one month and then transferred into polybagscontaining sterilized soil. Disease symptom and microscopic examinationswere observed at 6 th and 16 th weeks after inoculation for the laboratory andgreen house experiments, respectively. Results indicated that wartscontaining resting spores of S. pogostemonis were found in all varieties ofinoculated P. cablin, but none in the Girilaya variety of P. heyneanus. Thewarts were minutes, hyaline at immature stage, and darker in advancestage developed on the infected plants surface. The warts were mostlyfound at the base stems close to the surface of media, and also on shootsthat emerge from bellow media surface, both at laboratory and green housetests for P. cablin. There were no warts young on young shoots of Girilayavariety of P. heyneanus. The study concluded that P. cablin is highlysusceptible, but P. heyneanus is resistant to the pathogen, therefore it canbe used as resistant gene source.</p><p>Key words: Resistance, Pogostemon cablin, Pogostemon heyneanus, S.pogostemonis</p>

Abstract:
Indonesia is one of the countries most prone to earthquakes, causing a lot of damage to building structures. Therefore, buildings require earthquake resistance to allow time for building occupants to evacuate from the building. The object of this research is the A1 Hajj Boarding Boarding Building for the Embarkation of Aceh which is located on Teuku Nyak Arif Street, Kuta Alam District. The purpose of this study was to see whether the building met the requirements of SNI 1726-2019 in response to the Simeulue I earthquake with a magnitude of 8.3 on April 11, 2012, using Time History analysis with the help of software ETABS. By reviewing the building deformation, displacement and deviation between levels, knowing the working forces in the form of axial forces, bending moments, and shear forces on the columns and beams of the building. Data processing will be analyzed with the standard rules of SNI 1726-2019. From the analysis, it is found that the basic shear strength due to earthquake loads is 2302.1 kN for the x direction and 637.6 kN for the y direction. The largest maximum lateral displacement is 11.445 mm for the x-direction and 11.774 mm for the y-direction, causing the interstory drift of each combination of loading structures to remain within the limits permitted by earthquake-resistant building standards (SNI 1726:2019). It can be concluded that the Aceh Embarkation Hajj Dormitory Building A1 has been designed in accordance with the SNI 1726:2019 standard.

Abstract:
Landslide is a geological event caused by the movement of rock or land mass that can be defined as the displacement of slope-forming material, which is the original rock as well as the other material that is moving with the gravity. The factors that influence landslides are soil layer, slip surface and saturated soil. Mapping or determining the landslide area is done by identifying several parameters that can trigger landslide. The geophysical method that can be used to analyse soil layer is resistance type of geoelectrical. Variations of each rock or soil layer resistance below the measuring point can be obtained from the measurements of current and potential differences. The research site is located East Aceh district, Indonesia. Geoelectrical measurements using Wenner-Schlumberger electrode configuration. Based on geological information, field observation and geophysical measuring results, the area is dominated by clay, sand and gravel material. Lithology of clay dominates the underside of the surface (until the depth of ± 30 meters. water that is held in sand lithology causes saturation of the sand. this is because there is a layer of clay under the sand which has low permeability or even impermeable properties. Saturated sand lithology can lead to contact between particles and has the potential to weaken it, causing soil movement.

Abstract:
The chicken farming industry in Indonesia cannot be separated from the use of antibiotics as a curative effort in controlling the disease. Its use is either via injection, soaking, or as a feed additive (growth promoter) mixed in feed. Inappropriate use of antibiotics causes allergic reactions or resistance and the possibility of causing poisoning, residues in livestock tissues or organs that are harmful to human health when consuming them. This study aimed to determine the antibiotic residues in eggs and the level of knowledge of livestock workers on the use of antibiotics in livestock. The detection of antibiotic residues was conducted using the agar plate diffusion method by Kirby Bauer with the disk diffusion technique using Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp. As indicator bacteria. The results were analysed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The samples were 76 eggs taken from the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of the Non-Ruminant Livestock Center of the Aceh Livestock Service in Blang Bintang and Saree Aceh Besar. Chloramphenicol antibiotic was used as a test medium and as control by calculating the diameter of the inhibition zone formed on MHA media. furthermore, a cross-sectional study design was used and questionnaires were distributed to 14 livestock officers to understand the knowledge of officers on the use of antibiotics in livestock by using google form. The data were analyzed using the chi-square test through the SPSS 22.0 program. The results showed that the eggs and feed samples were negative from antibiotic residue. There was no relationship between feeding and antibiotic residues in eggs and laying hens feed. However, only 35.7% of officers had good knowledge about proper antibiotic usage. This means continuing awareness to the officers regarding the use of antibiotics either for treatment of diseases or as feed promoter are essential.

Abstract:
Biofilm formation is one of the virulence factors of Candida albicans, contributing to the development of resistance to various antifungal drugs. In order to combat resistant microbes such as C. albicans, the discovery and development of antifungal substances must explore the anti-biofilm activity of substances, which are extracted from traditional medicinal plants widely available in tropical countries such as Indonesia. One of the natural ingredients that can be developed is red ginger. This plant has been used empirically in the treatment of various infectious diseases, including fungal infections. The aim of this study is to determine the composition of chemical compounds in the essential oil of the red ginger rhizomes planted in Aceh, Indonesia and the anti-biofilm activity of the essential oil against C. albicans, isolated from a clinical sample. The chemical analysis of the essential oil was performed by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometry (GC-MS). Anti-biofilm activity was observed through biofilm inhibition and degradation activities, determined by Cristal Violet assay. Data were analyzed using ANOVA test and Duncan's post hoc test with 99% CI. The GC-MS results showed that the essential oil used in this study contained high monoterpenes (60.55%) which is dominated by E-citral/geranial (11.97%) and 1.8 - cineole (15.10%). The highest sesquiterpenes derivative was αr-curcumene (16.86%). The significant inhibition of C. albicans biofilm formation was obtained at a concentration of 0.5% and the biofilm degradation was obtained at a concentration of 0.125%. The data indicates that the high monoterpenoids-red ginger essential oil used in this study has performed significant anti-biofilm activity against C. albicans.

Abstract:
In 2002, through the national standardization agency, the Indonesian government issued SNI 03-1726-2002 on Earthquake Resilience Planning Standard for Building Structure to anticipate the effects of earthquake on building. However, after the standard has been issued there have been several other major earthquakes that rendered it necessary to revise the existing standards. Therefore, in 2012 the government issued SNI 03-1726-2012 on Procedures for Earthquake Resistance Planning for Building and Non Building Structures. When viewed from both these standards, it can be seen that Aceh province is one of the provinces with high earthquake intensity so it is necessary to do a research to observe the effect of changes of both standards to the ratio of column capacity and minimum reinforcement requirements for buildings constructed in Aceh province. Based on the results of the research, the average column capacity ratio against the load in SNI 03-1726-2012 has increased by 45.02% and the average minimum reinforcement requirement available is only 54.5%. The increase is due to an increase in primacy factor from 1.0 to 1.5, causing increased structural load. In addition, there was an increase in the combined burden in the form of 30% additional redundant factors as well as the addition of earthquake load due to an increase in rock bed acceleration factors in some regencies. Thus it can be concluded that the building under review has not fulfilled the requirements of SNI 03-1726-2012 and is recommended for planning by adding a shear wall to reduce the structural load.

Abstract:
Water is one the most important natural resources to maintain human life and all other living things in the earth. Around 65% water were consumed for drinking purpose, while others were used for daily needs. The increasing amount of work on water use and scarcity in relation to consumption and trade has led to the emergence of the field of Water Footprint (WF). Climate change, rural development, world population growth and industrialization have placed considerable stress on the local availability of water resources. Thus, it is necessary to perform study in order to analyze water demands and supply for sustainable water availability. Recently, water footprint analysis has been widely draw attention to the scientists and engineers. The water footprint analysis is closely related with virtual water from which it is defined as total water volume used for consumption and trade. The main aim of this present study is to analyze and assess the total water requirement based on community water footprint in Krueng Aceh watershed area. The virtual water used in this study are dominant consumption food commodities. The result shows that water footprint per capita in Krueng Aceh watershed area was 674.52 m3/year. Water footprint for rural and urban population were 608.27 m3/year and 740.77 m3/year respectively. The WF of food consumption in urban area of Krueng Aceh watershed is 690.74 m3 / capita / year and 584.22 m3/capita/year or average 625.69 m3/capita/year, while for non-food, the WF per capita is 24.05 m3/year in rural or 32.46% of the total water footprint. Non-food consumption per capita in Krueng Aceh and in urban areas is 50.03 m3/year or 67.53%. The total water demand based on the water footprint is 378,906,655.05 m3 in 2015 which is consumed by most of residents in the Krueng Aceh watershed area. Furthermore, total WF in rural and urban area are 193,489,128.95 m3 and 185,417,526.10 m3 respectively.

Abstract:
Aceh peace is a new dynamic on the resolution of conflicts in the region. Eight years have passed and the agreement was signed by the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the Indonesian Government, while the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) agreed in 2005. The signing of the MoU symbolically ends Aceh conflict which is prolonged for three decades. Moreover the notable occurance that leads to the weakening of GAM strength is that by December 26, 2004 earthquake and tsunami has devastated the communities in terms of infrastructure and superstructure. While spirit to rebuild Aceh after the disaster emerged, amount of aid coming in the country from as well as foreign institutions such as NGO. The government of Indonesia took this chance to develop Aceh once again and approach GAM to release the tense, to take the path of peace. The government efforts succeed by personalized approach to one of the central figures of GAM. The conflict in Aceh reflects that lobbying skill from the government of Indonesia against GAM is quite excellent. To notice the reconstruction of Aceh peace agreement before, the Cessation of Hostility Agreement (COHA) initiated by the Henry Dunant Center (HDC) stalled. The struggle embodied in the MoU agreement which is initiated by the Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) actually formed by former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari. While it is done further implementation is left to the Aceh Monitoring Mission (AMM) led by Pieter Feith. In this mission AMM successfully carry out their duties in accordance with the agreement so that it runs alltogether. AMM ended its duties on December 15, 2006 and successfully reconcile the peace process (AMM: 2006). Furthermore, Indonesian Government gives freedom of democracy actively for Aceh and GAM combatants. Troop’s withdrawal process also the destruction of non-organic military and police weapons of the GAM runs smoothly. Then the GAM combatants reintegrate into society, this task successfully executed by AMM. Furthermore, the Government implements the sustainability of the peace process systematically. Implementation of this peace process is necessary because people of Aceh are already saturated with conflict that endured so long. The people hope this peace could maintain significant and permanent. Fortunately all parties are able to hold theirselves up to prevent new conflicts. Above all, Aceh peace is also a very elegant example as a process of consensus building and conflict resolution models. Aceh peace could become a reference for other regions and countries in the world which is also facing separatist conflict issue. Moreover, Aceh peace could also sinergically perform post-tsunami reconstruction of the area. The Government creates the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency (BRR) to reconstruct the area after the tsunami disaster. This peace model could also reintegrate and reconcile thw ex-combatant to back mingling with the public. Democratic process in Aceh is also running well, starting with local elections on December 11, 2006. Currently Aceh is very pleasant city for living and we expect peace in Aceh could maintain eternally.

The government efforts succeed by personalized approach to one of the central figures of GAM.The conflict in Aceh reflects that lobbying skill from the government of Indonesia against GAM is quite excellent. Furthermore, Indonesian Government gives freedom of democracy actively for Aceh and GAM combatants.Troop’s withdrawal process also the destruction of non-organic military and police weapons of the GAM runs smoothly.

Abstract:
AbstractIndonesia is a unitary state on which national law applies in all of its provinces. The National Law which is applied throughout Indonesia regulates the civil, criminal, commercial, and other aspects of Indonesian society. However, an exception to the application of the national law exists in the province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, especially in the type of sanctions applicable towards defendants who have committed or violated criminal law in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam implements a different criminal law that derives from the National criminal law applicable to other regions in Indonesia. This is due to the promulgation of Law No. 11 of 2006 on the Aceh Government, which gave Aceh province special authority to adopt and practice Islamic law to its people. One form of punishment applied in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam is the practice of public flogging carried out in public. This form of sanction has attracted the attention of the UN Special Rapporteur who recommended that the sentence be abolished, due to its practice which is contrary to international conventions that have been ratified by Indonesia. This article will discuss the legalization of the practice of public flogging in Indonesia in accordance with the international conventions on which Indonesia is a member thereof.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract The groupers, locally known as “kerapu” in Indonesia, are commercially valuable fish in Indonesia, including Aceh. The groupers are the first fish family to be plundered in most countries’ fisheries industries. However, the biodiversity information of the groupers fished in Aceh is limited. This study was aimed to inventories the grouper species landed in Aceh fish landing sites. The data collection was performed in some fish landing locations (TPI) located in Aceh. In general, this study revealed that Aceh has high grouper diversity. In total, 35 species of the Epinephelidae family were recorded. Epinephelus was the dominant genus found, followed by Cephalopholis, Plectropomus, Variola, Aethaloperca, Anyperodon, and Hyporthodus. Simeulue, Weh island, and Banda Aceh were the locations with the highest diversity of grouper in Aceh. Overall, the data collected from this study would be beneficial for the future management plan of grouper in Aceh and Indonesia.

Abstract:
Aceh local party is a party that was born from the womb of a prolonged conflict in Aceh. The existence of the Aceh Local party is inseparable from the actions of GAM leaders in maintaining their existence in the land of the Veranda of Mecca. On the other hand the Government of the Republic of Indonesia also does not want what happened to the East-East province to occur in the Aceh province, so various efforts were made to maintain the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Efforts by the Indonesian government include military and civil emergency operations that have been implemented in Aceh, although these efforts have proven unable to eliminate GAM's influence in Aceh, so that in the end the peace route was adopted with the signing of the Helsinki MoU in 2005 which signaled an end to the armed conflict in Aceh for forever. This research is a legal research using a law in concrete sense suppressor where law functions or is implemented (law in action) or law that is always moving (recht in beweging).
