Abstract:
The importance of the study of relevant mathematical methods and models of long-term development of the national industry is substantiated. It has been proven that causal econometric models of production are relatively simple and convenient to use in practice, as well as the most common tools for researching the long-term economic future. It was defined that the production functions, adapted to individual circumstances, proved their ability to solve the assigned tasks. However, the problem of more accurate adjustment to the features of the simulated object of research is particularly relevant in the current conditions of development of Ukraine, in the conditions of concentration of attention on certain sectors, on particular branch of industry, and in connection with the revolutionary transformations of production forces and relations, in accordance with the spread of cyber-physical technologies of the Fourth Industrial revolution. In such specific circumstances, it makes sense to ask for more sophisticated models. On the one hand, they are better, as they allow more accurate tuning of the modeled object, including by adding important factors that are outside the production system. On the other hand, they are worse because they complicate the analysis and significantly increase the number of variables needed to describe the dynamics of economic growth. In this connection, expert research methods cannot be neglected. Choosing the type of model, the range of influencing factors, possible development scenarios, etc., usually requires expert assessments (often implicit). Therefore, when analyzing long-term factors and development trends, it is important to adhere to the main methodological message of expert approaches in the construction of foresights: for long time horizons in conditions of significant uncertainty, it is appropriate to ask questions not about the calculation of the "correct future", but about the assessment of the spectrum of probable scenarios of development, expansion and rethinking its new opportunities and challenges, in particular – to avoid potentially harmful ideas and expectations, embedded in the current policy.

Abstract:
Supercapacitors (SCs) are used extensively in high-power potential energy applications like renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, power electronics, and many other industrial applications. This is due to SCs containing high-power density and the ability to respond spontaneously with fast charging and discharging demands. Advancements in material and fabrication techniques have induced a scope for research to improve the application of SCs. Many researchers have studied various SC properties and their effects on energy storage and management performance. In this paper, various fractional calculus-based SC models are summarized, with emphasis on analytical studies from derived classical SC models. Study prevails such parameterized resistor–capacitor networks have simplified the representation of electrical behavior of SCs to deal with the complicated internal structure. Fractional calculus has been used to develop SC models with the aim of understanding their complicated structure. Finally, the properties of different SC models utilized by various researchers to understand the behavior of SCs are listed using an equivalent circuit.

Mathematical programming models and especially their subclass - linear programming models - plays an extremely important role, both in theory and in economic practice. Linear programming, through its results, brought a considerable contribution to improving management methods in economics and it has boosted theoretical research in modeling complex economic systems, study and interpretation of laws and economic processes. Developing and designing a model for achieving the economic performance of the industrial system allows managers making optimal decision and ensures the improvement of their activity. This paper aim is to determine an optimal manufacturing program for an industrial system, so that, by its implementation, to achieve economic performance. The manufacturing program conducted using a computer software will allow this entity to optimize their management decision process by providing information related to physical production that must be executed on each of their the products, or about the unused or overloaded capacity, in order to maximize their profits.

Theorems of existence and uniqueness of the decision of system of the equations in the private derivatives, representing the generalized mathematical model of processes and devices of preprocessing of crude hydrocarbons are formulated and proved. Generalization gives the chance to apply the principle of unification and typification when de-veloping a method of numerical realization of mathematical models of a class of processes (devices) of preprocessing of crude hydrocarbons, and the proof of the corresponding theorems (an essence —the qua-litative analysis) provides a correctness of application of the generalized model in applied problems of mathematical modeling of studied pro-cesses (devices). Proofs of the formulated theorems are strict, logically true and are consistently executed within terms of the functional ana-lysis. Practical applicability of theorems of existence and uniqueness of the decision as component of the qualitative analysis, is defined by pos-sibility of research on their basis of adequacy of algorithmic means of mathematical modeling of a studied class of processes (devices).

Abstract:
The article considers and analyses the methods by which it is possible to carry out research to determine the fire resistance of elements of steel frames of industrial buildings. It is determined that it is expedient to use the means of computational fluid dynamics, which has no limitations due to the high cost, complexity, environmental friendliness and complexity in comparison with real experiments. In order to conduct the most reliable computational experiments, mathematical models of temperature and mechanical reaction to the thermal effect of fire were created, taking into account the equations of thermal conductivity, systems of differential equations of stress-strain state of solids in their numerical implementation based on the finite element method. The solution of mathematical models was carried out using computational fluid dynamics, which describes the process of heat and mass transfer in test fire furnaces during the determination of fire resistance of steel structures. According to the results of computational experiments it is shown that the limiting state of loss of bearing capacity of vertical and horizontal structures occurs due to the formation of a zone of plastic deformations taking into account the associative theory of plasticity. According to the results of computational experiments, the dependence of the limit of fire resistance on the level of applied load to structures, which is close to linear, was revealed. Based on the obtained dependences and the corresponding graphs, a technique is developed based on the use of maximum deformations of the elements with the corresponding fixation of the limit state on the loss of fire resistance in terms of bearing capacity by bending this curve.

Abstract:
This article analyses the influence of industrial disparity and centralisation (concentration) on major industrial states in India. Accordingly, we are using two mathematical models: (a) localisation coefficients to identify major industries that are suffering by industrial concentration and (b) location quotient to measure regional industrial specialisation. Consequently, it shows the natural tendency of distribution of industries in a particular way between the six major Indian industrial states. Therefore, we determine the reasons for lack of industrialisation within those states. Afterwards, this research helps to understand that those regions are either little specialised regions or concentrated with few industries. Especially, policy makers can easily equally distribute through location quotient and localisation coefficient, all manufacturing industries in all six regions. Moreover, this research can reduce the tendency of lack of industrialisation.

Abstract:
Based on the research results, coefficients in constitutive equations, describing the kinetics of dynamic, meta-dynamic, and static recrystallization in high-carbon bainitic steel during hot deformation were determined. The developed mathematical model takes into account the dependence of the changing kinetics in the structural size of the preliminary austenite grains, the value of strain, strain rate, temperature, and time. Physical simulations were carried out on rectangular specimens. Compression tests with a flat state of deformation were carried out using a Gleeble 3800. Based on dilatometric studies, coefficients were determined in constitutive equations, describing the grain growth of the austenite of high-carbon bainite steel under isothermal annealing conditions. The aim of the research was to verify the developed mathematical models in semi-industrial conditions during the hot-rolling process of high-carbon bainite steel. Analysis of the semi-industrial studies of the hot-rolling and long-term annealing process confirmed the correctness of the predicted mathematical models describing the microstructure evolution.

This paper presents the works carried out by the authors in the field of structural and functional optimization of industrial robot's numerically controlled (NC) axes. The study includes the results obtained in the research stage of the experimental measurements performed to evaluate the electrical servomotor's thermal behavior using a thermal (infrared) imaging camera. The analyzed servomotor is a brushless servomotor integrated in an experimental stand for linear motion NC axis experimental research, existing in the MMS department from EMTS faculty. Supplementary to the driving servomotor, the experimental stand includes a belt drive transmission, a ball screw - bearings assembly and a driven element guided by ball rail system. This experimental research phase is part of the doctoral thesis of first author and was conducted in order to validate the mathematical models developed in the PhD thesis. Thus, experimental results presented in the paper have been used to validate first mathematical models for electric motor's preliminary selection and checking, (performed by determining the total reflected inertia of the mechanical system on motor shaft level) as well as the mathematical models for final selection and checking (by evaluating the servomotor's thermal energy dissipation, and servomotor's internal and external maximum operating temperature). Second, the experimental results have been used to validate the assisted simulation for structural and functional optimization of industrial robot's NC axes based on both servomotor and drive's thermal behavior analysis, performed in the thesis by means of a dedicated commercial software package.

Abstract:
Purpose. To build economic and mathematical model of impacts of investment from internal sources on the profit of an industrial enterprise. Methodology. An economic and mathematical model of enterprise operations is built to enable development of methods for analyzing the impact of the internal investment amount on the profit of an industrial enterprise through considering specific features of its operation. The research involves methodological principles of economic cybernetics, namely the representation of the enterprise as a multipolar object with an unknown structure. Application of the systemic approach enables comprehensive investigation of the process of the amount of internal investment impacting profits of this enterprise. The use of structural synthesis underlies determination of the type of economic and mathematical model without considering its parameters. Findings. Mathematical modeling of operation of an industrial enterprise as a complex object enables numerical determination of the impact of the internal investment amount on the profit of an industrial enterprise. This approach makes it possible to use regression models to obtain an analytical dependence of the enterprise profit on the size of its internal investment. Theoretical research results in the determined sequence of building an economic and mathematical model of internal investment amount impacts on profits. It is proved expedient to divide the process of building a model of an industrial enterprise operation into two stages: structural synthesis and identification of model parameters. Originality. For the first time, an economic and mathematical model of operation of an industrial enterprise in the form of a black box has been used to analyze the impact of internal investment of an industrial enterprise on its profits. Practical value. Analysis of results of economic and mathematical modeling of the PJSC PivdHZK operation proves expediency of estimating the statistical dependence of the profit on the amount of internal investment. It is recommended to introduce the developed system-logical scheme in the investment practice of enterprises.

Abstract:
The article substantiates the relevance and necessity of developing mathematical models in foundry production, as well as the problems and prospects of their use. Based on an analytical review of the world literature on foundry production, it was emphasized that in many studies of the authors and literary sources, not enough attention is paid to the development of mathematical models of the technological process of extracting non-ferrous metals from slag and industrial waste. A brief description of the developed technologies for the high-temperature treatment of industrial slags and waste, separation treatment in electric furnaces, and metals extracted from liquid slag is given. During the development and analytical implementation of the mathematical model, the developed technology for extracting copper from slags is presented as an research object. Based on the study of the dynamics of changes in the thermophysical properties of the components as a function of temperature, a mathematical model of high-temperature treatment of slags is compiled. This will allow you to predict the process of processing slags and the results obtained. Also, a mathematical model of the extraction of copper from the slag is compiled, taking into account the chemical properties of metal inclusions in the slag. This serves as the basis for automating the process of extracting copper from slags and waste products.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to construct mathematical models of electric energy and power consumption for six price categories in an organizational and technical system and to develop an algorithm based on these models that will enable the consumer to select the most profitable cost of electricity. The system, which was regarded as an integral complex of interacting objects, was analyzed from the viewpoint of a systematic approach. Scientific data were analyzed proceeding from the principles of system consistency, structuring, integrity, hierarchy and multiplicity. A structural-and-functional approach, based on which elements (subsystems), and relationships between them can be considered within a single organizational and technical system, was used as the research method. The current state was studied; the consumption of electricity by an organizational and technical system was predicted based on the source data; the mathematical models of electric energy and power were constructed for six price categories, and a price category selection algorithm was developed, using which the most financially profitable price category can be found. An independent experimental verification of the price category selection algorithm was carried out, which has shown that owing to its application, the cost item “payment of consumed electric energy” for the facility has decreased by 9%. The experiment has shown that the developed mathematical models can be applied in practice, and that the use of the electric energy price category selection algorithm allows economic gains to be obtained. The accomplished study has yielded results based on which the consumers located in the Russian Federation territory can select the most financially profitable price category and cost of electric energy.

Abstract:
This research proposes a methodology based on control engineering, transforming the simulation model of system dynamics into a mathematical model expressed as a system transfer function. The differential equations of a time domain present in the Forrester diagram are transformed into a frequency domain based on the Laplace transform. The conventional control engineering technique is used to present and reduce the dynamic system in a block diagram as a mechanism for determining the structure of the system. The direct path equation and the feedback equation are determined to obtain mathematical models that explain the trajectory of the behavior of each state variable through a transfer function in response to the different inputs of the system. The research proposal is based on presenting an alternative of analytical validation for more robust decision-making to systems dynamics models, based on the explanation of the system structure through a transfer function and its analysis of stability and external controllability for the system dynamics model under study. The results are visually analyzed in a root diagram.

Abstract:
Liquid level control is a common process control in industry, and its impact on production cannot be ignored. Liquid level control systems are used in various aspects of life, such as reservoirs, cisterns, river levels, etc. Among the common liquid level control systems, the double-volume water tank is a typical controlled object, which is widely used in industrial production. The control difficulty of has also increased due to its nonlinearity and delay. PID control can achieve satisfactory results in the face of accurate mathematical models and is still widely used in society. However, PID control is less effective when dealing with nonlinear systems that are difficult to describe accurately with mathematical models. For better level control, this paper designs a double-volume tank level control system with single-loop PID control, Cascade PID Control and fuzzy PID control based on PID control theory, and compares their control effects. This paper therefore concludes that the control effect of fuzzy PID control is better than the other two controls, and through experiments, we also find that fuzzy PID has decent adaptivity. This paper provides a certain research basis for the subsequent research on PID control, which has important theoretical significance and engineering value.

Abstract:
Mathematical models are critical to modern environmental biotechnology—both in research and in the engineering practice. Wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) simulators are used by consulting engineers and WWTP operators when planning, designing, optimizing, and evaluating the unit processes that comprise municipal and industrial WWTPs. Many WWTP simulators have been expanded to include a submerged completely-mixed biofilm reactor module that is based on the mathematical description of a one-dimensional biofilm. Leading consultants, equipment manufacturers, and WWTP modelling software developers have made meaningful contributions to advancing the use of biofilm models in engineering practice, but the bulk of the engineering community either does not use the now readily available biofilm reactor modules or utilizes them as ‘black-box’ design tools. The latter approach results in the mathematical biofilm models being no more useful than the empirical design criteria and formulations that have been historically applied to biofilm reactor design. The present work provides a consensus report on the state-of-the art, areas of uncertainty, and future needs for advancing the use of biofilm models in engineering design.

Abstract:
Recent developments in several theoretical and industrial concepts are closely associated to the relation of operational observation to mathematical modeling. The present work investigates first the interdependence of these two evaluation notions. An assessment of these notions is performed involving different analyses based on philosophical aspects as phenomenology and structural research. These analyses are also supported by illustrations from physics and quantum science. These analyses examine the autonomy limits of each of both concepts and their interdependence. The associate resulting from such interdependence is therefore studied. This involves different aspects characterizing such associate (couple) as its managing in time and its rulings. The immersion of the couple "observation-theory" is subsequently considered through the exploration of different representing cases showing the nature of the interdependence in this couple. The corroborating interdependence is illuminated in the case of coupled amended models. The matching interdependence is illustrated in the cases of the industrial digital twins concept and Bayesian brain theory in neuroscience. Finally, the imitating interdependence is pointed out in quantum and neuromorphic computing technologies. The conclusion of the paper underlines that mathematical modeling needs operational observation simply to be credible and that the second needs the first for deeper research. Additionally, the interdependence of this associate is valuable to the ideas of several research and industrial innovative concepts. Keywords: observation-modeling associate, phenomenology, structural research, Bayesian concepts, quantum science, matching, imitating, corroborating.

Abstract:
Abstract Flotation process modelling is not a simple task, mostly because of the process complexity, i.e. the presence of a large number of variables that (to a lesser or a greater extent) affect the final outcome of the mineral particles separation based on the differences in their surface properties. The attempts toward the development of the quantitative predictive model that would fully describe the operation of an industrial flotation plant started in the middle of past century and it lasts to this day. This paper gives a review of published research activities directed toward the development of flotation models based on the classical mathematical rules. The description and systematization of classical flotation models were performed according to the available references, with emphasize exclusively given to the flotation process modelling, regardless of the model application in a certain control system. In accordance with the contemporary considerations, models were classified as the empirical, probabilistic, kinetic and population balance types. Each model type is presented through the aspects of flotation modelling at the macro and micro process levels.

Abstract:
The purpose of this work was to build a model of industrial plant management and develop a schedule plan based on it. The paper considers a controlled model of product flows at an industrial enterprise. The model describes the interaction between various objects at the enterprise: production plants, manifolds, overpasses, piers, transport. In addition, the model specifies the composition and proportions of the components of raw materials and additives for each type of manufactured product, as well as physical constraints on the objects involvedin the production process. This brings us to the model of both the quality functional and equality and inequality constraints in the mathematical formulation. After building the model, the original control problem was reduced to two problems: direct and inverse. The numerical solution of both is provided in a close relationship between them. The study uses the findings from the theory of mathematical modeling, linear algebra and optimization theory, and leads to the development of the technique of building models of scheduling at an enterprise and numerical methods for solving the corresponding management problems. The research results are of great practical importance and can be used for effective management of the production process in many industries

Abstract:
Introduction. The development of the agro-industrial complex is impossible without creating innovative techniques and technologies. The key role in technical support of agricultural production processes is played by machine-tractor aggregates. One of their most important operational characteristics is reliability, i.e. the ability to perform specified functions, keeping over time the values of the operational indicators within the required limits. Materials and Methods. The object of the study is the reliability of machine-tractor aggregates. The methods of mathematical modeling were used for the study. The general patterns were used for special cases, taking into account the prediction of changes in parameters over time. The analytical description of machine-tractor aggregate operation reliability was based on stationary random and correlation functions. Generalized patterns were used to construct mathematical reliability models using the results of predecessor (analogue) tests. Optimal reliability of the machine-tractor aggregate operation was determined on the basis of the mathematical model of object resource. Results. There are obtained analytical dependences for the prediction of changes in reliability parameters of machine-tractor aggregate operation over time. The methods for creating reliability mathematical models are developed. Conditions affecting the functioning of the research object are determined. Discussion and Conclusion. The analysis and synthesis of research in this science field and the obtained mathematical models show that to achieve high results it is necessary to decrease the variance of factors affecting the reliability of machine-tractor aggregates.

Abstract:
To avoid fabric deformations due to plastic deformations, it is vital to predict how the fabric will behave under load in advance. This was the starting idea for the conducted research. The basic physical and mechanical properties of plain-weave fabric samples with the same density of warp and weft and in various angles were investigated in this paper. A comparison of the experimental and computational modulus of elasticity was performed. Based on the experimental results, a mathematical model and the corresponding mathematical equations of the stress-strain curve for the examined fabric samples were set up. Finally, a statistical analysis of the models and an evaluation of the parameters and representative indicators of the mathematical models have been implemented. The experimental values of the stress-strain curves are well described by all three of the chosen models. Still, mathematical model number three M3 is best suited and can be used with great accuracy in the theoretical calculation of breaking force and elongation for the selected type of fabric.

Abstract:
Purpose – It has become increasingly critical to design and maintain flexible and rapid assembly systems due to unpredictable and varying market conditions. The first stage of developing such systems is to restructure the existing assembly system. After designing the manufacturing system, efforts should be made for capacity adjustments to meet the demand in terms of allocating tasks to workers. Walking-worker assembly systems can be regarded as an effective method to achieve flexibility and agility via rabbit chase (RC) approach in which workers follow each other around the assembly cell or line and perform each task in sequence. In this paper, a novel mathematical programming approach is developed with the aim of integrating RC in assembly processes. Therefore, this study is thought to add value to industrial assembly systems in terms of effectively raising engineering control for task allocation activities. Design/methodology/approach – Two consecutive mathematical models are developed, since such a hierarchical approach provides computational convenience for the problem. The initial mathematical programming model determines the number of workers in each RC loop for each segment. In addition, the number of stations and the distribution of station times in the segments is essential. Therefore, the succeeding mathematical programming model generates stations in each segment and provides convenience for the workflow in RC loops. The output of mathematical programming models are the parameters of simulation model for performance assessment. Findings – The effectiveness of the proposed approach was validated by an application in a real-life chair production system. The application resulted in performance improvements for labour requirement (12.5 per cent) and production lead time (9.6 per cent) when compared to a classical assembly system design (CASD) where one stationary worker exists in each station. In addition, it is worth to note that RC leads to a reduced number of workers for a considerable number (39.4 per cent) of test problems. What is more, input as well as output factors have been determined via discriminant analysis and their impacts to the utilization of RC were analyzed for different levels. Practical implications – This study is thought to add value to the industry in terms of effectively providing convenience during production planning and task allocation in assembly lines and cells. Originality/value – To the best knowledge of the author, optimization models for RC considering a real industrial application have not yet been developed. In this context, this paper presents an approach which models RC by the use of mathematical programming in manual assembly processes to address this research gap. The contribution of the paper to the relevant literature is the development of hierarchical mixed integer linear programming models to solve RC problem for the first time.

Abstract:
The purpose of the research. The purpose of this paper is the determination based on the method of system analysis of reserves of economic development of the enterprises of hotel and restaurant services by constructing multiple regression models of industrial and commercial activities and calculation on the basis of factors that characterize development reserves resource potentials and directions of growth of efficiency of business entities. Methodology. The methodology is based on the fundamentals of business Economics, econometrics, mathematical statistics, and publications of domestic and foreign scientists on the problems of economic development of enterprises. To identify, assess and substantiate the results of the study used methods of theoretical justification, grouping, economic-mathematical modeling, factorial, statistical, stochastic, correlation and regression analysis, etc. Results. In the work on the basis of the objective function the model of multiple regression of industrial and commercial activities, which mathematically described the communication patterns and quantitative relationships of its elements (factors or input intensities), defined a differentiated and integrated the impact of costs of operating activities on the profitability of hotel and restaurant management. By calculating βKi-coefficients set share changes standard deviation values of the resultant variable due to changes in relevant economic indicators regression equation on the value of its standard deviation. According to the calculated βKicoefficients that characterize the degree of a variation factor parameter defined by reserves economic development and possibilities of improving the productive performance of enterprises, as reflected in economic and mathematical models. It is proved that the increase in the costs of labor resource development and administrative expenses increases the level of income of the enterprise, and the increase of material costs and expenses on the basic production funds have a negative impact on the efficiency of functioning and, consequently, the development of economic entities. It has also been found that the largest reserves for raising the income level of the hotel and restaurant business are laid down in the cost of OVF and administrative and marketing activities. Practical meaning. The proposed research method-ology was used in forecasting and planning the results of the enterprises. The prospects for further research are to identify trends and to form an effective mechanism for sustainable economic development of hotel and restaurant businesses.

Abstract:
In the conditions of the domestic market transformation of machine-building enterprises it becomes important to use resources which unite the software of foreign manufacturers with domestic. One of the most important tasks at the present stage of machine-building enterprises transformation of Kharkiv region is the strategy formation of industrial enterprises. Reforming the economy of Ukraine, structural changes that occurred in the period of emergence and development of market relations, affected the development of information technology in enterprises, dramatically changing the conditions of enterprises in a particular industry. This forces enterprises to look for effective development strategies aimed not only at implementing their social functions, but also at increasing their independence and economic independence, so the mechanism of forming a strategy for the development of machine-building enterprises in Kharkiv region is an urgent task for effective operation. The improved methodical approach to application of models of the organizational and economic mechanism of information and communication development of the enterprises of machine-building branch gives the chance for construction of mathematical models of coordination of administrative decisions. It is proposed to use existing software products and international standards for analysis and forecasting to develop the strategy of the enterprise, without which it is impossible to build an adequate mathematical model with given parameters, which will help to describe each process in production. The created elements of mathematical and software allow to receive adequate mathematical models, to reduce energy and computational expenses for research of objects, to make more qualitative and effective management and forecasting of their behavior. Finally, the research methods proposed in this paper are a mathematical model that contains interconnected disparate resources, the operation of which is subject to a set of rules and objectives for information and communication infrastructure of the enterprise, its socio-economic development and effective organization of business processes. Keywords: management decisions, objectivity model, adequate mathematical models, artificial neural networks.
