Remote controlled cars currently in the market only offer one transmission mode. They are less efficient in acceleration while the torque cannot be increase during the low speed. Although improvement has been made by upgrading to two speed transmissions, but the gearing system is still not sufficient to maximize the speed of nitro engine. With a third gear, the car has the potential to increase its velocity and fully utilize its engine power. This paper focus on the transmission system model for 1/10th scale nitro engine which can produce up to 30,000 rpm. The third gears has shown significant improvement of the car theoretical speed up to 210 km/h.

Abstract:
Acoustic emission (AE) has been chosen as a means of monitoring cutting system changes from remote sensor locations. The determination of a processing strategy which can remove signal transmission path variability has been explored. This strategy, termed homomorphic processing, is developed and tested on both simulated and experimentally collected data. The recovery properties of this strategy are analyzed in terms of both AE source characterization and signal path transmission effects. These properties are found to be influenced by the choice of homomorphic lifter cutoff time. Guidelines are given for the selection of this parameter. Spectral representations of the recovered AE source show that signatures collected at remote sensor locations can be successfully used to identify process and structural changes in the cutting system.

Abstract:
Remote sensing images are widely used in object detection and tracking, military security, and other computer vision tasks. However, remote sensing images are often degraded by suspended aerosol in the air, especially under poor weather conditions, such as fog, haze, and mist. The quality of remote sensing images directly affect the normal operations of computer vision systems. As such, haze removal is a crucial and indispensable pre-processing step in remote sensing image processing. Additionally, most of the existing image dehazing methods are not applicable to all scenes, so the corresponding dehazed images may have varying degrees of color distortion. This paper proposes a novel atmospheric light estimation based dehazing algorithm to obtain high visual-quality remote sensing images. First, a differentiable function is used to train the parameters of a linear scene depth model for the scene depth map generation of remote sensing images. Second, the atmospheric light of each hazy remote sensing image is estimated by the corresponding scene depth map. Then, the corresponding transmission map is estimated on the basis of the estimated atmospheric light by a haze-lines model. Finally, according to the estimated atmospheric light and transmission map, an atmospheric scattering model is applied to remove haze from remote sensing images. The colors of the images dehazed by the proposed method are in line with the perception of human eyes in different scenes. A dataset with 100 remote sensing images from hazy scenes was built for testing. The performance of the proposed image dehazing method is confirmed by theoretical analysis and comparative experiments.

In recent years the emphasis within British Gas PLC has moved from the construction aspects of the natural gas transmission system, to one of investigating methods of optimising the operational efficiency of the existing pipline network. In particular, the developments which have taken place in the area of microprocessor technology have provided the opportunity to implement improved control strategies in areas where existing pneumatic based systems are somewhat limited in terms of performance. This paper describes a problem associated with the control of pressure, at a remote point, which can be a considerable distance downstream from the main pressure regulating station. In addition, it illustrates how a series of simulation studies have enabled the evaluation of the revised control philosophy, quickly, efficiently and at minimal cost. This paper is based on previously published work entitled ‘Investigations into the Remote Pressure Control of Gas Transmission Pipelines’, by C S Cox, W J B Arden and I Fletcher. Abstract:
With the rapid development of remote sensing technology, satellite remote sensing images have been involved in many areas of people’s lives. Remote sensing images contain military secrets, land profiles, and other sensitive data, so it is urgent to encrypt remote sensing images. This paper proposes a dual-channel key transmission model. The plaintext related key is embedded into the ciphertext image through bit-level key hiding transmission strategy, which enhanced the ability of ciphertext image to resist known-plaintext attack and chosen plaintext attack. In addition, a multiband remote sensing image encryption algorithm based on Boolean cross-scrambling and semi-tensor product diffusion is designed. Firstly, the pixel positions of each band of the remote sensing image are disturbed. Then, the random sequence generated by the four-dimensional chaotic system is processed and deformed to obtain a Boolean matrix. Based on the generated Boolean matrix and certain rules, the cross-confusion between the bands is carried out. Finally, the semi-tensor product operation is used in the diffusion process. Simulation results and experimental analysis show that the proposed algorithm obtains a larger key space and has stronger antiattack ability than other remote sensing image encryption algorithms. It can meet the security transmission of multiband remote sensing image in open space.

Abstract:
Every year more interest is focused on high frequencies (HF) communications for remote sensing platforms due to their capacity to establish links of more than 250 km without a line of sight and due to them being a low-cost alternative to satellite communications. In this article, we study the ionospheric ordinary and extraordinary waves to improve the applications of near vertical incidence skywave (NVIS) on a single input multiple output (SIMO) configuration. To obtain the results, we established a link of 95 km to test the diversity combining of ordinary and extraordinary waves by using selection combining (SC) and equal-gain combining (EGC) on a remote sensing platform. The testbench is based on digital modulation transmissions with power transmission between 3 and 100 W. The results show us the main energy per bit to noise spectral density ratio (Eb/N0) and the bit error rate (BER) differences between ordinary and extraordinary waves, SC, and EGC. To conclude, diversity techniques show us a decrease of the power transmission need, allowing for the use of compact antennas and increasing battery autonomy. Furthermore, we present three different improvement options for NVIS SIMO remote sensing platforms depending on the requirements of bitrate, power consumption, and efficiency of communication.

Abstract:
The technology of data transmission from spacecraft of remote sensing of the Earth to reception points on the ground has certain disadvantages such as the inability to quickly receive remote sens-ing data and the need to store large amounts of information on board. The technology of data re-transmission from remote sensing satellites through geostationary satellites retransmitters Luch to the reception points on the ground has the following disadvantages: the inability to quickly receive data when the remote sensing spacecraft is in the central part of the Western Hemisphere and the need for early planning of retransmission sessions. The article presents advanced concepts of com-munication organization and algorithms for establishing connections between the spacecraft and the point of data reception and transmission via a geostationary satellite repeater. The concepts are based on the following modern technologies: the availability of inter-satellite communication lines between geostationary satellites retransmitters that transforms this segment of communication net-work into a transport digital network for data transmission; the application of network technology for data flow routing that enables data transmission in an automatic mode; the application of auto-matic technology for establishing connections between remote sensing satellites and geostationary satellites retransmitters that transforms the ground reception point into a subscriber of the transport digital network by analogy with mobile network.
