Abstract:
<p class="JUDULSUB">Islam as a religion with a slogan that brings grace to the universe, however historically not all religious articulations are compatible. One example is extreme attitudes in religion. The most important element in realizing the peace mission in schools is learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study was conducted to reveal how to maintain religious moderation in schools in preventing extremism. This field study at SMA Negeri 1 (Senior High School) Krembung, East Java, Indonesia uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that school moderation uses three main principles, namely <em>tawassuth, ta'adul and tawazun.</em> These principles are able to create a moderate situation, create a school of peace, progress, and form a generation with moderate views.</p><p class="JUDULSUB"> </p><p class="JUDULSUB"><em><strong>Abstrak</strong> </em></p><p class="JUDULSUB"><em>Islam sebagai agama dengan semboyan pembawa rahmat bagi alam semesta, namun secara historis tidak semua artikulasi agama itu cocok. Salah satu contohnya adalah sikap ekstrim dalam beragama. Elemen terpenting dalam mewujudkan misi perdamaian tersebut di sekolah adalah pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Studi ini dilakukan untuk mengungkap bagaimana mempertahankan moderasi beragama di sekolah dalam mencegah ekstrimisme. Studi lapangan di SMA Negeri 1 Krembung, Jawa Timur, Indonesia ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama sekolah menggunakan tiga prinsip utama yaitu tawassuth, ta’adul dan tawazun. Prinsip-prinsip ini mampu menciptakan situasi yang moderat dan mewujudkan sekolah damai, berkemajuan dan membentuk generasi yang berpandangan moderat.</em></p><p class="KEYWORD"><em></em><br /><strong></strong></p>

Abstract:
The implementation of character education in Indonesia is deemed not optimal, because it has not fully implemented character values to its full potential. The Indonesian government through Presidential Regulation Number 87 in 2017 launched the Strengthening Character Education program in all education units covering nationalist, independent, religious, integrity, and mutual cooperation. The purpose of this study was to document the teacher's response in independent values as one of the values in strengthening character education through social studies learning during the adaption of Covid-19 period. Participants included 19 randomized social studies teachers in East Java. This research is a descriptive study with an instrument form list of interviews. Data in the form of teacher responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 84.2% of teachers had facilitated the growth of independent values in students who were written in the Long Distance Learning Implementation and 52.6% of teachers said that distance learning social studies was less effective, so there needed to be an interesting method for distance learning social studies so the learning become more effective.

<p>Growth and development in the Coastal Java madrasah in the early twentieth century until now generally spearheaded by scholars/religious leaders who graduated in Islamic centers in the Middle East. At first they established the boarding school, followed by the establishment of madrasah to the coast of Java<br />can be regarded as children of a boarding school. The educational institutions have bonding formation of madrasah was first built by Niz{am al-Mulk in Baghdad in 1057, later known as madrasah Nizamiyah . This school is an educational institution that aims to teach Fiqh Sunni schools. Institutions of higher education has become one of the eleventh century and became the blueprint for the development of similar madrasah in the Islamic world. Historically, madrasah in Java can not be separated from the Middle East, especially the relationship<br />Haramayn scholars of al-Azhar and Cairo with the students in Java, Indonesia.<br /><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p><strong></strong><br />Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan madrasah di Pesisir Jawa pada awal abad ke XX hingga kini, umumnya dipelopori oleh para kiai atau tokoh agama yang menamatkan pendidikan di pusat-pusat Islam tersebut. Abstract:
Sebagai wacana tandingan atas fenomena intoleransi yang bermunculan di Indonesia, kajian terkait keramahan terhadap agama lain (religious-others hospitality) harus dikaji lebih serius. Berdasarkan argumentasi Siddiqui yang mengatakan bahwa keramahan terhadap yang berbeda agama, bermuara pada masalah tarik menarik antara keberadaan manusia sebagai makhluk bermoral (Moral person) dan sebagai individu yang terikat oleh hukum (Legal person), penelitian ini mengkaji permasalahan kontestasi antara kedua faktor tersebut di kalangan mahasiswa Muslim di tiga Kampus Bela Negara (UPN Veteran Jawa Timur, Jakarta, dan Yogyakarta). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mixed methods) yang menggabungkan penyebaran online questionnaire dan wawancara dengan para pengajar mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Pendidikan Bela Negara. Berdasarkan analisis kuantitatif, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa faktor moral person dan legal person berpengaruh positif pada pembentukan karakter keramahan pada diri mahasiswa sebesar 10.4% dengan proporsi nilai moral person (yang terdiri dari nilai-nilai agama) lebih dominan dibanding legal person. Analisis kualitiatif lanjutan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga faktor pendukung terbentuknya keramahaman para mahasiswa: kemajemukan latar belakang keagamaan, nilai-nilai Bela Negara yang ditanamkan pada mata kuliah wajib, serta dukungan penuh dari segenap pimpinan serta tenaga pengajar. Kata kunci: keramahan, religious others, Kampus Bela Negara, moral person, legal person As a counter discourse to the cases of intolerance in Indonesia, studies related to religious-others hospitality should be revisited more seriously. Based on Siddiqui's argument that hospitality towards different religions leads to the issue of attraction between the existence of humans as “Moral persons” and as “Legal persons,” this current article examines the contestation between those two factors among Muslim students at three State Defense Campuses (UPN Veteran Jawa Timur, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta). This current research uses mixed method to gain its primary data that combines spreading of online questionnaire and interviews with lecturers of Islamic Education and State Defense subjects. Based on quantitative analysis, this study concludes that the moral person and legal person factors have a positive impact on the formation of the religious-others hospitality character by 10.4% with the proportion of moral person values (consisting of religious values) being more dominant than the other one. Further qualitative analysis shows that there are three factors that support the formation of student’s religious-others hospitality: the plurality of their religious backgrounds, the values of Bela Negara that are instilled in a compulsory subject, and full support from all leaders of the university and its teaching staff. Abstract:
Natural disasters, which occur regularly in Indonesia, have inspired many volunteer<br />groups to emerge from different groups of society, including religious group.<br />This paper focuses on the experiences of the religious volunteer group called<br />Santana (Islamic student’s response to disaster) in East Java region. The group<br />is part of Islamic education institution (pesantren) that emphasizes religious aspects<br />and attempts to realize religious values in everyday life. The group gives<br />religious meaning to the experience of disaster and the efforts to help disaster victims. The aim of this study is to describe Santana’s response to natural disaster<br />as not only a natural but also a cultural phenomenon. This study reveals a<br />large number of religious symbols referring to disaster as natural and theological<br />phenomena. Referring to the religious text, disaster victims are categorized by<br />Santana as weak people (mustad’afin). It has inspired this group to engage in<br />their social activism. Their commitment to the religious tenets involves not only<br />giving material aid but also promoting spiritual empowerment. This gives insight<br />into the dynamic of how religious groups manifest their religious values by providing<br />both material and spiritual aid.<br />Bencana alam yang terjadi hampir setiap tahun di Indonesia telah mendorong<br />kemunculan kelompok relawan dari berbagai elemen masyarakat, termasuk<br />kelompok agama. Artikel ini terfokus pada pengalaman relawan dari kelompok<br />agama bernama Santana (santri tanggap bencana) di Jawa Timur. Kelompok<br />relawan ini merupakan bagian dari lembaga pesantren yang menekankan aspek<br />keagamaan serta berusaha merealisasikan nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam kehidupan<br />sehari-hari. Kelompok ini memberikan pemaknaan keagamaan pada kejadian<br />bencana alam sekaligus berusaha menolong korban bencana. Tujuan studi ini<br />adalah mendeskripsikan tanggapan kelompok Santana atas bencana alam yang<br />tidak hanya sebagai kejadian alam melainkan juga fenomena (perubahan)<br />kebudayaan. Artikel ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat sebuah gundukan simbol<br />keagamaan yang menempatkan bencana sebagai peristiwa alam dan fenomena<br />teologis. Dengan merujuk pada teks keagamaan, korban bencana dikategorikan<br />oleh Santana sebagai orang lemah (Mustad’afin). Konsep ini mendorong mereka<br />melakukan aktivisme sosial. Komitmen mereka atas ajaran agama tidak hanya<br />telah memunculkan pertolongan material tetapi juga penguatan spiritual para<br />korban bencana.

The number of divorce cases in Indonesia, child abuse, violence, and criminal acts in the household are proof that in realizing the Sakinah family requires the involvement of several parties; parents, the Religious Affairs, and the village government. This community service theme has a correlation with the District Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency. The functions and duties were to deal with quite complex issues concerning all religious matters including marriage, divorce, divorce, reconciliation. "Achievement of Sakinah Families through Economic Empowerment in Buddagan Village, Pademawu District". The study is intended to minimize divorce and early marriage cases in Pademawu community, especially in Buddagan. Economic factors are one important factor in navigating the Sakinah family. The need for solid cooperation between parents, the community, and the KUA in order to strengthen the Sakinah family in various aspects including Economy, Education, and Culture. In the field of economic empowerment, it is necessary to involve the local government and the government of the province of East Java to support capital and job training.(Banyaknya kasus perceraian di Indonesia, terjadinya pelecehan anak, kekerasan dan tindak kriminal dalam rumah tangga adalah bukti bahwa dalam mewujudkan keluarga sakinah butuh keterlibatan beberapa pihak. Seperti orang tua, KUA dan pemerintah desa menjadi komponen yang penting dalam membentuk keluarga sakinah mawadah warahmah. Tema Pengabdian kepada masyarkat ini memiliki korelasi dengan Kantor Urusan Agama Kecamatan (KUA) di Kecamatan Pademawu Kabupaten Pamekasan. Adapun fungsi dan tugasnya waktu itu adalah menangani persoalan yang cukup kompleks mengenai seluruh urusan keagamaan termasuk didalamnya adalah Nikah, Talak, Cerai, Rujuk. “Pencapaian Keluarga Sakinah Melalui Pemberdayaan Ekonomi di Desa Buddagan Kecamatan Pademawu”. Adapun tujuan penyuluhan ini ialah untuk mengurangi adanya perceraian dan pernikahan dini oleh masyarakat pademawu khususnya masyarakat Buddagan. Faktor ekonomi menjadi salah satu faktor terpenting dalam mengarungi keluarga sakinah kedepan. Perlunya kerjasamanya yang padu antara orang tua, masyarkat dan KUA dalam rangka memperkuat keluarga sakinah dalam berbagai aspek diantaranya Ekonomi, Pendidikan dan Budaya. Pesantren (madrassah) is Indonesia's oldest educational institution; it is through pesantren (madrassah) that the country's national educational system was formed, and despite the rapid changes in society, pesantren has managed to keep its characteristics. The kyai, santri, mosque, and classical reference books are at least three key parts of pesantren culture (Kitab Kuning). Pesantren play a critical role in distributing Islamic moderation in the society to maintain community resilience, since the tendency of social religiosity in today's Indonesian culture has reached into religious conservatism to some extent. The objective of this research is to describe pesantren elements (Kyai, Santri, Masjid, and Kitab Kuning) are engaged in producing religious moderation character-building approaches and patterns. This research examines five renowned Nahdhatul Ulama pesantren in Central and East Java using a qualitative methodology. According to results this study that based on in-depth observations, documentation, and observation of the pesantren environment under independent investigation, as well as interviews with pesantren leaders (kyai) and other informants who are fully acquainted with the pesantren under research. The Pesantren-Islamic boarding school-style integrated education system and the classical halaqah system, according to the findings of this study, became an integrated and complementary educational system, preparing social cadre with an understanding of religious moderation, which was actualized in the form of national commitment, religious tolerance, anti-violence da'wah, and accommodative behavior to local culture. The results of this study can be implemented that the four elements of pesantren can be used as a strategy in strengthening the values of islamic moderation not limited to the pesantren but extended to the scope of national life.***Pesantren adalah lembaga pendidikan tertua di Indonesia; Dari pesantren (madrasah) perkembangan sistem pendidikan nasional di Indonesia terbangun, meski terjadi perubahan masyarakat yang dinamis, pesantren tetap mampu mempertahankan ciri khasnya. Setidaknya ada tiga unsur penting dalam budaya pesantren, yaitu kyai, santri, masjid, dan kitab klasik (kitab kuning). Tren religiusitas sosial dalam masyarakat Indonesia saat ini - sampai batas tertentu - telah menunjukkan gejala ke arah konservatisme agama, oleh karena itu pesantren memainkan peran krusialnya dalam mensosialisasikan diskursus moderasi Islam di masyarakat untuk membentengi sekaligus membangun resiliensi sosial dari arus konservatisme agama yang ekstrem. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan elemen pesantren (Kyai, Santri, Masjid, dan Kitab Kuning) yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan strategi dan pola pembentukan karakter moderasi beragama. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis dengan melihat lima pesantren ikonic Nahdhatul Ulama di Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan hasil observasi mendalam dengan mendokumentasikan dan mengamati lingkungan pesantren melalui inkuiri independen, serta wawancara mendalam dengan beberapa informan yang benar-benar mengenal pesantren yang menjadi objek kajian. Selanjutnya temuan penelitian ini, sistem pendidikan terpadu ala pesantren dan sistem halaqah klasik-sistem pendidikan terpadu dan komplementer pesantren- telah mampu mempersiapkan kader masyarakat yang memahami moderasi beragama, yang diaktualisasikan dalam bentuk komitmen kebangsaan, toleransi beragama, dakwah tanpa kekerasan, dan perilaku akomodatif terhadap budaya lokal. Hasil kajian ini dapat diimplementasikan bahwa empat elemen pesantren dapat dijadikan strategi dalam memperkuat nilai-nilai moderasi beragama tidak terbatas pada lingkungan pesantren tapi diperluas pada lingkup kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara.

Abstract:
This research is based on the assumption that the need to internalize Islamic religious education is more effective in knowing how much students absorb in learning Islamic religious education. Internalization of Islamic education can be used as a reference as a better learning process. The purpose of this study was to describe the concepts, constraints and solutions to the internalization of Islamic religious education for children with special needs at the Extraordinary Middle School Kemala Bhayangkari, Trenggalek, East Java, Indonesia. The research method uses a qualitative approach. Data collection is done using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Check the validity of the data with confirmation techniques and peer discussions. Data analysis using interactive analysis, namely conceptualization, categorization, then reduced, the presentation of the data then held conclusions. The results of the study: 1) The concept of internalization starts from learning planning tailored to the conditions of students so that they can receive the planting of religious values ​​well. 2) Constraints on internalizing Islamic values ​​for students with special needs, namely the difficulty of the teacher in determining indicators of student success in absorbing the material that has been taught, lack of teacher knowledge about the nature of students with special needs (in this case mental retardation) and the psychology of child development in general, not yet available and supporting infrastructure to the fullest. 3) Solution to the internalization of Islamic values ​​for children with special needs: Islamic religious education teachers to always improve the quality of learning and teaching experience consciously and independently through the MGMP forum and also with efforts by the leadership of institutions that always encourage teachers to improve quality of teacher resources by including in trainings or seminars, workshops, FGD (forum group discussions), etc. relating to children with special needs (mental retardation). Penelitian ini didasarkan pada anggapan perlunya internalisasi pendidikan agama Islam yang lebih efektif untuk mengetahui seberapa besar penyerapan siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Internalisasi Pendidikan agama Islam dapat dijadikan acuan sebagai proses pembelajaran yang lebih baik lagi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan konsep, kendala dan solusi internalisasi pendidikan agama Islam anak berkebutuhan khusus di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Luar Biasa Kemala Bhayangkari, Trenggalek, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan teknik konfirmasi dan diskusi teman sejawat. Analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif yaitu konseptualisasi, kategorisasi, kemudian direduksi, penyajian data selanjutnya diadakan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian: 1) Konsep internalisasi dimulai dari perencanaan pembelajaran disesuaikan dengan kondisi siswa agar mereka dapat menerima dengan baik penanaman nilai religius. 2) Kendala internalisasi nilai Islami bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus yaitu kesulitan guru dalam menentukan indikator keberhasilan siswa dalam menyerap materi yang telah diajarkan, minimnya pengetahuan guru tentang hakekat siswa berkebutuhan khusus (dalam hal ini tunagrahita) dan tentang psikologi perkembangan anak secara umum, belum tersedia sarana dan prasarana pendukung secara maksimal. 3) Solusi internalisasi nilai Islami bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus: guru pendidikan agama Islam agar selalu meningkatkan kualitas belajar dan pengalaman mengajar secara sadar dan mandiri melalui forum Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) dan juga dengan upaya oleh pimpinan lembaga yang selalu mendorong para guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya guru dengan mengikut sertakan dalam pelatihan-pelatihan atau seminar, workshop, FGD (forum group discussion), dll yang berkaitan dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus (tunagrahita).

<p>This research aimed at describing a change in the religious life of young<br />generation of Pakiskembar Village, Pakis Sub district, Malang Re­<br />gency, East Java, because of the influence of electrical technology<br />introduced into village. The description comprised a change in the form<br />of a variety of beliefs, a change in the religious service aspect, and a<br />change in social aspect. <br />The finding of this research was electricity introduced into the village<br />brought specific changes into the religious life of young generation. A<br />change in the belief aspect tended towards irrational belief which<br />increasingly reduced, which meant rasional though increasingly rose. <br />A part of change in religious service aspect tended toward a rise, and<br />another part tended towards a reduction. Activities of reciting Al-Qur 'an<br />at home underwent a change toward a reduction. Activities of reciting<br />Al-Qur'an at the mosque/musala in month of Ramadan did not change.<br />Participation in taraveeh and tadarus Al-Qur 'an in the month of<br />Ramadan rose. Activities of performing congregational prayers at<br />mosque/musala reduced. Activities of Friday prayer, Eid-ul-Fitr prayer,<br />and janaza (funeral) prayer did not change. <br />Changes in the social aspect were various enough. Within the social­<br />relegious group/organization in the village level, a rise in the number<br />of members occurred; participation of the young generation in this<br />activity rose. Relegious education institution and the participation of<br />young generation of the young generation in this institution did not <br />change. Various kinds of activities of PHBI rose and participation of<br />the young generation also increasingly rose. The habit of talking to<br />older people changed, namely after electricity introduced into the vil­<br />lage the young generation seemed not familiar enough with older people,<br />that they lacked of respect for older people, and there was impression<br />that they preferred to use Indonesian language, wich meant they started<br />to leave behind their local vernacular which was full of ethics of personality or of good manner towards older people. There was a changein dressing. although it was still normal, they still dressed in Moslem dress.</p>

Thus, this reversed religion is assumed as a source of cruelty. It is through that phenomenon researcher, feel the need to examine the strategy of disseminating moderate Islam by Nahdlatul Ulama. The selection of this Islamic organization according to the authors due to its success in moderating Islam in Indonesia. In this study, the study using a qualitative approach or method as well as adopting the theory of Van Dijk discourse analysis as a scalpel to peel the discourse of moderate Islam published by PWNU East Java through the website. As for this research, the findings are important, among others are: 1) moderate Islamic discourse campaigned by Nahdlatul Ulama East Java is categorized into three segments, namely social, religious and nationality. 2) the text structure that builds moderate Islamic discourse NU East Java in Van Dijk perspective constructed in three domains, namely text, social cognition and social context. 3) the principles of Public Relationship implemented by NU through cyber (online media), among others; News publications and expert opinions, production of image and video-based information, and updating official NU information to the public about their attitudes and views on the phenomena that occur by promoting the values of Islamic moderatism. Religious discourse in political praxis always attracts the attention of many experts. Some of them consider that the use of religion represents more pragmatic interest of political parties for stimulating voters in general elections. This study argues that the use of religion in political praxis is not merely for the pragmatic purposes of the party, but also for the party’s idealistic goals. This is the reason that makes the implementation of political education important for integrating religious dimensions. NasDem Party of East Java is known for its concern in promoting its ideal image as a nationalist-religious party. In order to realize its image and political vision, NasDem carries religion-based politics in its political education. This article aims to study issues such as how religious dimensions are contained in political education and how the orientasions of the agency of political party are. This article found an important finding that there were two dimensions in the implementation of political education, namely the ritual-symbolic and substantive religious dimensions. The orientation of symbolic religious dimension is to strengthen the faith and the creation of nationality- religious intergated understanding, while the substantive dimension is oriented to shape a humanist-religious consciousness and God’s mandate in the political role.

Religious moderation is one of the means to strengthen and strengthen a harmonious, safe and peaceful spiritual life. Indonesia is a country with multiple religions, ethnicities, and races, so the adherence to religious moderation in the life of the nation and state is an obligation. The study in this paper is one of the efforts to examine further the East Java Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in grounding the attitude of religious moderation in its region. In this study researcher used interviews and observation techniques at the East Java Religious Harmony Forum. The results of this research are that FKUB carries out several strategies to ground religious moderation, including holding discussions on religious moderation, creating a guidebook on religious moderation, strengthening the insight into religious moderation for the millennial generation, and strengthening cooperation with other parties related to religious moderation. Religious moderation program. Furthermore, there are several challenges in grounding religious moderation, including the increasing religious orthodoxy and conservatism, the strengthening of identity politics, and the era of social media. In addition, the culture of the East Java people who are friendly, polite, and tolerant between individuals is one of the strengths and assets for FKUB to continue to ground religious moderation in society.

This research concentrates on the religious-based gender framework within the pesantren education system by which pesantren has an institutional vision to empower women and naturally participates in developing gender discourse with Islamic religious nuance. This research was conducted in East Java by taking the site of Pesantren Nurul Islam Antirogo, Pesantren Al-Falah Karangharjo Jember, and Pesantren Annuqayah Guluk-Guluk Sumenep. This research found that those pesantrens carried out reconstruction through theological-philosophical awareness that was designed from the dialogic process of re-interpretative religious normative texts with reality. The emergence of this awareness led the pesantren to direct their education system to feel egalitarian, non-discriminatory, and non-subordinate towards women inside and outside the pesantren. The axiology of the pesantren education system leads to the normative value of the unity of humanity. The realization of the education system ends up on peace values whether in the cultural, social, or even religious domains.

The polemic of religious identity between “penghayat kepercayaan” (believers of indigenous religion) and followers of the official religions in Indonesia is still become a sensitive issue, which adds to the long list of marginalization of indigenous believers in Indonesia. Several forms of marginalization are: forcing to choose certain official religions in their National ID Card, the pros and cons of the burial places of the deceased indigenous believers, and restrictions on the construction of their worship places. This article aims to elaborate the dynamics of identity conflict between adherents of the Sapta Darma (one of indigenous belief) and the followers of official religions in Sukoreno Village, Jember, East Java. This study uses a qualitative approach using observation, in-depth interviews with 7 (seven) informants of Sapta Darma followers, and members of FKUB (Forum of Religious Harmony) for the data collection. The results of the study reveal that this identity polemic has made it difficult for adherents of Sapta Dharma to change their religious identity on their ID cards. As a consequence, they also have difficulty in accessing public burial places. Conflict resolution efforts are carried out through FKUB by providing socialization of knowledge on nationality and cultural perspective to the interfaith leaders. Polemik identitas agama antara penghayat kepercayaan dengan pemeluk agama resmi di Indonesia masih menjadi isu yang menambah daftar panjang marginalisasi penganut kepercayaan di Indonesia. Bentuk marginalisasi ini mengarah kepada pemaksaan pencantuman agama tertentu dalam KTP dan KK warga penghayat, pro dan kontra tempat pemakaman warga penghayat yang meninggal, dan pembatasan pembangunan rumah peribadatan bagi warga penghayat. Artikel ini bermaksud untuk mengelaborasi dinamika konflik identitas antara penghayat kepercayaan Sapta Darma dengan para pemeluk agama resmi, dengan mengambil lokasi tempat di Desa Sukoreno, Jember, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam terhadap 7 (tujuh) informan warga penghayat Sapta Darma, dan anggota FKUB (Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa polemik identitas ini mengakibatkan warga pengahayat kesulitan dalam mengganti identitas agamanya di KTP dan KK sehingga mereka memiliki identitas ganda dan kesulitan dalam mengakses tempat pemakaman umum. Upaya resolusi konflik dilakukan melalui FKUB dengan memberikan sosialisasi wawasan kebangsaan dan pendekatan kultural dengan tokoh lintas agama.

The focus of this writing study aims to share a reflection of the experience of encounters between Javanese culture and Manggarai culture in Bagorejo Banyuwangi, East Java. The experience of this encounter reminds the author of the importance of multicultural education in Indonesia. As a pluralistic nation, encounters with other cultures cannot be avoided. On the one hand, the encounter enriches one another. However, on the other hand, the encounter caused a lot of conflict because of different perceptions and views. Based on this, it is very necessary to have a multicultural education system that starts from the elementary school level through learning and the introduction of other cultures. Through an education system like this, the authors found that to overcome attitudes of intolerance and radicalism that often occur in the country, an adequate multicultural understanding is needed. One of them is through multicultural learning which can be carried out with the Live-In program like the author did.

Muhammadiyah is one of the two biggest Islamic organizations in Indonesia. Since it was founded on November 18, 1912 in Yogjakarta by K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, Muhammadiyah is known as the Islamic missionary movement of 'Amar ma'ruf nahi munkar (invite to do good and prevent evil deeds) to broadcast Islamic teachings from a humanist point of view and return to the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Because of this model, Muhammadiyah becomes less attractive for most Muslim community, due to the religious patterns of the Javanese people that are heavily influenced by Hindu and Buddhist traditions that are mixed within Islamic practices of Javanese Muslims. The purpose of this study is to determine the model of the Muhammadiyah religious da'wah movement in Sidoarjo Regency. By using a qualitative approach through ethnographic model, this paper aims to describe the conditions of the Muhammadiyah religious missionary movement. This research is limited to understand how the model of the Muhammadiyah religious da'wah movement at the Muhammadiyah regency and district branches in Sidoarjo Regency. The results show that the model of the religious da'wah movement of Muhammadiyah in the regency of Sidoarjo is originated come from a social movement, namely taking real actions to help the surrounding community. Muhammadiyah merupakan salah satu dari dua organisasi Islam besar di Indonesia. Sejak didirikan pada 18 Nopember 1912 di Yogjakarta oleh K.H. Ahmad Dahlan Muhammadiyah dikenal dengan Gerakan dakwah Islam ‘Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar (mengajak kepada kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran) untuk menyiarkan ajaran Islam dari sudut pandang yang humanis dan kembali kepada Al-Qur’an dan Hadits, karena model gerakan ini membuat Muhammadiyah kurang diminati oleh masyarakat muslim pada umumnya, disebabkan pola keagamaan masyarakat Jawa yang kental dengan tradisi-tradisi peninggalan Hindu dan Budha dikolaborasi dalam nilai-nilai kerohanian Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui model gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif model etnografi, bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kondisi gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada bagaimana model gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah di tingkat ranting dan cabang Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Ternyata dari hasil penelitian bisa ditemukan model gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah di tingkat ranting dan Cabang berawal dari gerakan sosial, yaitu melakukan aksi-aksi nyata membantu masyarakat sekitar.

Tubectomy is one of the family planning method in Indonesia. Family Planning service can be performed in many health services. One of them is in Planned Parenthood Federation of Indonesia (PPFI) clinic. According to Indonesian Health Ministry data (2013) reported that the coverage of Tubectomy method only 1.52%. The effectivity of Tubectomy is 99%. Many benefit from using Tubectomy method but its coverage in Indonesia is low. The purpose of research is to identify participation factors of Tubectomy acceptor in Surabaya on PPFI clinic. Design of this research is using descriptive research method. The population of this research is woman that do Tubectomy in PPFI clinic of East Java on September 2017. There are 46 peoples for this research population. Sampling technic is population total. Variables are sociodemography factor, such as age, education, last child age, alive children and health factor which is contraception method and blood pressure. Result analized using descriptive statistic. The result showed that sociodemography factor in Tubectomy acceptor with high result were age that pass childbearing age (35–39 year) is 41%, education level in Senior High School (52%), having 3–4 children (57%), their last child age is 0–5 years old (74%).Many woman in Hypertension level I their last family planning method was injection 8 peoples in total.

Islamic education in the form of boarding school, in accordance with that nature will make efforts to improve and change the condition. As an oldest educational institution in Indonesia, boarding schools get serious attention from various circles, both public and private. Objectives - The models used in the empirical study of leadership kyai in Madura ethnic in line with the more modern environment changes. Reflecting the environmental change this paper aims to propose a framework for leadership of charismatic kyai in Madura ethnic-based impact on the welfare of stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) wide. The design / methodology / approach - This paper offers a conceptual framework that integrates the components of the leadership of religious scholars in ethnic Madurese kharismatic.Findings - This framework is useful for academics and regions. This framework can help steer academics to various existing literature charismatic leadership and help researchers development empirical studies that describe ethnic leadership kyai in Madurese. For the professional, this framework can be used as guidance in building a successful region.Research/ Limitations/ implications - This paper does not examine empirically the proposed framework. However, this paper provides suggestions for future research, including reviewing the empirical structural relationships in this framework.

<p><em>This study aims to analyze the political power of the kiai in the 2019 Presidential Election in East Java Province, Indonesia. The research method we use is a qualitative method with a case study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews to obtain primary data and literature review through books and journals. How the power and actions of kiai in the 2019 presidential election are the focus of this journal research. The theory of political elites from Vilvredo Pareto and Gaetano Mosca becomes the basis for the analysis of this journal. The results of this study see that the kiai have succeeded in winning the pair Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 presidential election and can minimize the existence of identity politics in East Java. This study concludes that this success is due to the existence of the kiai as an elite in society. With moral integrity, the depth of religious knowledge and concern for the problems that exist in society become a separate political force for the kiai.</em></p>

The Consortium of Indonesia Migrant Labour (KOBUMI) noted that 1-1.5 million from 5 million of Indonesia migrant labours are the victim. American Center for International Labor Solidarity (ACILS) report in 2003 noted that 700.000 to 1 million Indonesia migrant labours who is employable as prostitute. Many of provinces in Indonesia, such as North Sumatra, Riau, Lampung, West Java, Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, West Borneo, East Borneo, North Cele-bes, Bali, and The West Lesser Sundas are the sources of trafficking area. Seeing that trafficking serious problem in Indonesia, it is important to encourage the prevention by adopting many of ethic values as the reinforcement of human re-source and education. Here, Islamic education is important enough to overcome anti-trafficking.<br /><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p><strong></strong><br />Trafficking menjadikan manusia sebagai objek perdagangan melalui modus pen-ipuan, jebakan, bujuk rayu, janji palsu, pemaksaan dan eksploitasi serta bentuk-bentuk pelanggaran yang merendahkan martabat manusia. The purpose of this paper is to assess spending efficiency of regional governments in Indonesia on health and education during the fiscal decentralization period year of 2010-2017. Relying on a sample of 33 provinces as regional government, this paper compute efficiency scores adopting nonparametric frontier that estimated by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to study spending inefficiency. Results of the paper show that in west regions, Bali, Bangka Belitung, DI Yogyakarta, Jawa Tengah, and Kep. Riau relatively most efficient in public spending both on health and education in period of study. DKI Jakarta and Jawa Barat have efficient score on health, and Bengkulu has efficient score on education. On the other hand, in east regions, Gorontalo, Kalimantan Tengah, Kalimantan Timur and Sulawesi Utara were also most efficient in public spending on health and education services. Maluku and Sulawesi Tenggara have efficient score on health, and Kalimantan Selatan, Maluku Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat, and Sulawesi Barat have efficient score on education. The results show that provinces in east regions of Indonesia were relatively more efficient in public spending both on health and education for promoting equal distribution of income

Abstract : This study aims to describe and analyze 5 things, 1) factors that influence the religious commitment of students in implementing community-based Islamic education, 2) forms of community-based Islamic education by students, 3) the impact of community-based Islamic education for students, and 4 ) psychological dynamics of religious commitment of STIT Islamiyah student KP Paron Ngawi in implementing community-based Islamic education. To answer the above problem, the researcher uses qualitative method with case study. Data were collected by in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation. The next data is analyzed with Miles & Hubberman concept which include data reduction, data exposure and conclusion. The form of community-based Islamic education conducted by the students is education diniyah non-formal path that is TPA and / or boarding. Implementation of TPA and pesantren have a positive impact on personal and social life on the whole subject. On the other hand, there is no negative impact of the activity on students. The dimensions of religious commitment consisting of dimensions of belief, ritual, knowledge, experience and belief; have varying degrees of influence on the subjects. Based on this there is a unique dynamics of religious commitment to each subject in the implementation of community-based Islamic education

Criminality constitutes all kinds of actions that are economically and psychologically harmful in violation of the law applicable in the state of Indonesia as well as social and religious norms, while the criminal data is the number of cases reported to the police institution. The higher the number of complainants the higher the number of criminals in the region. The greater the risk the community represents the more insecure a region is. This study aims to obtain the best model affecting crime or crime in East Java. The number of crimes in this study is limited to the number of theft cases (whether ordinary theft, theft by force, theft with theft, and the theft of motor vehicles). In this study, we use the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model because this method is quite effective in estimating data that has spatial heterogeneity (uniformity in location / spatial). In essence, the model parameters in GWR can be calculated at the observation location with the dependent variable and one or more independent variables that have been measured at the sites where the location is known, where criminal acts in the research conducted in East Java involves the effects of spatial heterogeneity, with fixed kernel weighting function. The results showed that the variables affecting criminality in East Java Province are population density, economic growth, Gini Ratio, and poverty.

ABSTRACT This research seeks to see the kiai political communication in the nomination of Gus Ipul Puti in the East Java regional election in 2018. East Java Province is the basis of the Nahdlatul Ulama which is the largest religious organization in Indonesia. But in the 2018 elections the two best keders from the Nahdlatul Ulama organization fought in the elections to fight for the number one seat in East Java. The existence of this phenomenon resulted in segregation within the body of the Nahdlatul ulama organization so as to form two major shafts in East Java's political content. The Lirboyo axis is the axis that supports Gus Ipul and Puti while the Tebuireng axis is the axis that supports Khofifaf and Emil. The method in this study uses descriptive qualitative where data is obtained from interviews with several scholars who support the nomination of Gus Ipul and Puti. The results of this study indicate that the kiai political communication in nominating Gus Ipul as governor had occurred 10 years ago precisely in the East Java regional election in 2008 but because at that time Gus Ipul did not yet have a political party, he was paired with Soekarwo to become deputy governor. The political communication produced a document called the Lirboyo agreement which contained Gus Ipul who would accompany Seokarwo for two periods as deputy governor. The results of political communication were not violated for 10 years because at the time of the 2013 East Java regional election Gus Ipul was still accompanying Seokarwo as deputy governor..Keywords: Political communication, kiai, nahdlatul ulama, local election. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berusaha untuk melihat komunikasi politik kiai dalam pencalonan Gus Ipul Puti pada pilkada Jawa Timur di tahun 2018. Provinsi Jawa Timur merupakan basis dari Nahdlatul Ulama yang merupakan organisasi keagamaan terbesar di Indonesia. Namun dalam pemilu tahun 2018 dua keder terbaik dari organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama bertarung dalam pilkada untuk memperebutkan kursi no satu yang ada di Jawa Timur. Dengan adanya fenomena tersebut mengakibatkan terjadinya segregasi di dalam tubuh organisasi Nahdlatul ulama sehingga membentuk dua poros besar dalam kontentasi politik Jawa Timur. Poros Lirboyo adalah poros yang mendukung Gus Ipul dan Puti sedangkan poros Tebuireng adalah poros yang mendukung Khififaf dan Emil. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskritif dimana data diperoleh dari wawancara dengan beberapa kiai yang mendukung pencalonan Gus Ipul dan puti. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa komunikasi politik kiai dalam mencalonkan Gus Ipul sebagai gubernur sudah terjadi sejak 10 tahun lalu tepatnya pada pilkada Jawa Timur tahun 2008 namun karena saat itu Gus Ipul belum memiliki partai politik akhirnya dipasangkan dengan Soekarwo untuk menjadi wakil gubernur. Komunikasi politik tersebut menghasilkan dokumen yang dinamakan perjanjian Lirboyo yang isinya Gus Ipul akan mendampingi Seokarwo selama dua periode menjadi wakil gubernur. Indonesia is a disaster-prone country, therefore efforts for Disaster Risk Reduction are very useful to do.This paper aims to examine the cultural and religious roles of settlement in areas affected by the Lapindo mudflow disaster in Sidoarjo. The method used in this study is the study of relevant literature from research that has been done before. From the results of the literature review, it was concluded that culture and religion became capital for the people who were maintained even though their settlements were now scattered. Culture and religion also become identities which are very influential factors for the resilience of settlements which up to now still have vulnerability, so that anticipation and adaptation need to be carried out as preparedness for possible future disasters.

KKN PAR is implemented to optimize the empowerment of the community of cultural tourism village Jono Temayang Bojonegoro. Based on the results of mapping and transect, it is known that Jono village has tremendous potential to be developed from agriculture, animal husbandry, culture, religion and education. Among the problems faced by the Jono community are environmental, religious and educational issues. Based on the existing problems, then the action of the team accompanying the community is to establish a garbage bank, planting a toga plant, holding a "ngaji together", and private lessons.</p><p> </p><p>Desa Jono Temayang Bojonegoro dikenal sebagai desa wisata budaya.Pada 20 Januari-19 Februari 2016, 21 mahasiswa UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya dan satu dosen pembimbing melakukan pengabdian masyarakat di desa Jono Temayang Bojonegoro dalam kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata <em>Participatory Action Research</em> (KKN PAR). KKN PAR tersebut dilaksanakan untuk mengoptimalkan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa wisata budaya Jono Temayang Bojonegoro. Berdasarkan hasil mapping dan transect, diketahui bahwa desa Jono memiliki potensi yang luar biasa untuk dikembangkan, baik dari sector pertanian, peternakan, budaya, agama dan pendidikan. Diantara masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat Jono adalah masalah lingkungan, agama dan pendidikan. Berdasarkan masalah yang ada, maka maka <em>action </em>yang dilakukan tim pendamping bersama masyarakat adalah mendirikan bank sampah, menanam tanaman toga, mengadakan “ngaji bareng”, dan les privat.</p>

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the Smart Indonesia Card assistance on school expectations in East Java Province. This research is a quantitative research with 2017 SUSENAS data with 496 consonations. The analysis technique used to prove and test the hypothesis proposed is logistic regression technique. The results of this study resulted in that the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) had a significant and positive effect on school participation and school participation in the previous school year (2015/2016) in the East Java province. In addition, household characteristics, namely the level of education of the head of the household, also significantly and positively influenced school participation and school participation in the previous school year (2015/2016) in the East Java province. Job status variables of the head of the household have a significant and positive effect on school participation but have no significant effect on school participation in the previous school year (2015/2016).

Gender discourse does present particular problems within Muslim societies mainly for three reasons, (1) the strong presence of patriarchal culture within Muslim society (2) the strong literal tendency in interpreting religious texts, and (3) the strong sense of animosity toward the Western culture. There is a few however among Muslims in Indonesia who are willing to negotiate with gender issues not as a discourse but as a practical principles that should rather be applied in our daily life. For this group of people patriarchal culture and literal interpretation of religious texts are problematic. This group thinks that the idea of gender equality is an inherent part of Islam and must therefore be accepted. Among this few is the students of Ma’had Aly in the East Javanese town of Situbondo. These students are concerned with implementation issues of gender equality rather than with debating this problem as a discourse. This paper explores the ideas of these students and relates them with the general debate that takes place on the national level concerning the issue of gender equality.

Abstract: Jihad is a term that continuously caught the attention of academics. The stigma of “radicalism” became a topic of discussion along with the emergence of various religious-based violence in Indonesia. The Indonesian Institute of Islamic Dawah (LDII) pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools) in Jombang and Kediri, East Java, are among large pesantrens in East Java, which have unique characteristics, including the study of the main books of h}adi>th, S{ah}i>h} al-Bukha>ri> and S{ah}i>h} Muslim. This article sheds light on their interpretation of hadi>th on jihad and its implication on the development of religious radicalism thoughts in LDII. It suggests that no indication of religious-based violence emerged in both LDII pesantrens. The students have been exposed to religious radicalism and have studied on jihad, but there have been almost no violent or radical movements in performing their religious duties. In addition, the students showed significant radical attitudes towards jihad. They agreed with jihad as written in the hadi>th books and ready to carry out jihad. Abstrak: Jihad merupakan satu istilah konseptual yang terus mendapat perhatian dari para akademisi. Stigma “radikalisme” menjadi topik perbincangan seiring dengan munculnya berbagai kekerasan berbasis agama di Indonesia. Pesantren Lembaga Dakwah Islam Indonesia (LDII) di Jombang dan Kediri, Jawa Timur, termasuk di antara pesantren-pesantren besar di Jawa Timur yang memiliki ciri khas, di antaranya adalah kajian terhadap kitab-kitab hadis otoritatif, yaitu S{ah}i>h} al-Bukha>ri> dan S{ah}i>h} Muslim. Artikel ini menyoroti interpretasi mereka terhadap hadis tentang jihad dan implikasinya terhadap perkembangan pemikiran radikalisme agama di LDII. Tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada indikasi kekerasan berbasis agama yang muncul di kedua pesantren LDII tersebut. Para santri pada dasarnya telah bersinggungan dengan radikalisme agama dan juga telah mempelajari jihad, namun hampir tidak ditemukan adanya gerakan kekerasan atau radikal dalam menjalankan tugas keagamaannya. Meski demikian, di sisi lain para santri juga menunjukkan sikap radikal yang signifikan terhadap jihad. Hal itu tampak dari sikap mereka yang sepakat dengan jihad seperti yang tertulis dalam kitab-kitab hadits dan mereka juga siap untuk melakukan jihad.

The existence of Chengho mosque in Indonesia is inseparable from the Admiral Chengho expedition history which visited in the archipelago, both in the urban area of Surabaya and Jember. Buildings, architects and ornaments of Chengho mosque is very unique and has its own characteristics. Chengho Mosque with its various ornaments is a symbol of the religious expression of Chinese Muslims ethnic to confirm their Islamic identity and chivalry. Therefore, this study focused on the religious expression of the Chinese ethnic in Surabaya and Jember with three formulations of the problem, namely how the typology of Chinese ethnic in the Chengho mosque in Jember and Surabaya? How do Chinese Muslims ethnic use the Chengho mosque in Surabaya and Jember ?, and what are the religious expressions of Chinese Muslims ethnic in the Chengho mosque in Surabaya and Jember? this study uses qualitative methods with the Geertzian and Weberian approach. So that, the result of this research are: the first, the typology of Chinese ethnic in Jember can be seen from three components, namely religion adopted, choice of profession and cultural arts. East Java Province, which is dominated by Javanese and Madurese, has a community with cultural characteristics that consider having a large number of children will many fortunes. This study aimed to analyze the relationship of parity on the use of contraceptives in women of childbearing age in East Java. The study used data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey. The population was women of reproductive age (15-49 years) in East Java. By using stratification and multistage random sampling obtained 5,593 respondents. In addition to the use of contraceptives and parity, other variables were the type of residence, age group, level of education, work status, marital status, socioeconomic status, and health insurance ownership. Determination of influence using binary logistic regression. The results showed that parity was one of the determinants of contraceptive use in East Java. Multiparous women of childbearing age were 4.114 times higher than primiparous women for contraception. Women in the 15-19 age group were 8.413 times more likely to use contraception than the 45-49 year age group. While women in the age group 40-44 years have the possibility of 2.209 times. Women with an elementary-junior high school education were 3.931 times more likely than those without school to use contraception. While those with tertiary education are likely 4.957 times compared to those not in school. Poor women were 1.525 times more likely than the poorest to use contraception. It could be concluded that parity was one of the determinants of contraceptive use in women of childbearing age in East Java Province. Abstrak Provinsi Jawa Timur didominasi oleh suku Jawa dan Madura. Kedua suku memiliki karakter pandangan budaya tentang jumlah anak yang banyak, yaitu banyak anak, banyak rejeki. Penelitian ditujukan untuk menganalisis hubungan paritas terhadap pemakaian alat kontrasepsi pada wanita usia subur di Jawa Timur. Penelitian menggunakan data Survei Demografi dan Kesehatan Indonesia Tahun 2017. Populasi adalah wanita usia subur (15-49 tahun) di Jawa Timur. Dengan menggunakan stratification and multistage random sampling didapatkan 5.593 responden. Selain pemakaian alat kontrasepsi dan paritas, variabel lain yang adalah tipe tempat tinggal, kelompok umur, tingkat pendidikan, status bekerja, status perkawinan, status sosioekonomi, dan kepemilikan asuransi kesehatan. Penentuan pengaruh menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paritas merupakan salah satu determinan pemakaian alat kontrasepsi di Jawa Timur. Wanita multipara kemungkinan 4,114 kali lebih tinggi dibanding wanita primipara untuk memakai alat kontrasepsi. Wanita pada kelompok umur 15-19 tahun memiliki kemungkinan 8,413 kali dibanding kelompok umur 45-49 tahun untuk memakai alat kontrasepsi. Sementara wanita pada kelompok umur 40-44 tahun memiliki kemungkinan 2,209 kali. Wanita berpendidikan SD-SLTP kemungkinan 3,931 kali dibanding yang tidak sekolah untuk memakai alat kontrasepsi. The theme of religious moderation is increasingly important to study in line with the emergence of anxiety about strengthening intolerant, extremist, and radicalism-terrorism movements in several educational institutions in Indonesia. This research aims to examine the actualization of religious moderation values (read: Islamic moderation) of teachers at SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School and SMP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Malang. Therefore, this research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. Methods of data collection are carrying out through observation, in-dept interview, and documentation of the two research locus. At the same time, the data analysis used the interactive Miles-Huberman model. This results showed that teachers' religious moderation actualizes in two ways. First, the pathway formal-curriculum through the learning planning tools which are explicitly stated in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), as well as through extracurricular activities guided by teachers to students, namely scouts and student council; Second, is the pathways hidden-curriculum manifested in a pattern of habituation from teachers to students through an organizational culture that is run in schools, especially in the aspect of shared basic assumptions from the students

Sejarah kuno Indonesia mencatat bahwa masa sejarah tertua di Jawa Tengah adalah Kerajaan Matarām Kuno (abad ke-8-10). Pada waktu yang sama di pantai timur Sumatera terdapat Kerajaan Sriwijaya. Di lain pihak, berita Cina menginformasikan bahwa kerajaan di Jawa sudah ada pada abad ke-5, yaitu Ho-ling (She-po). Penelitian mutakhir di pesisir pantai utara Jawa Barat dan timur Sumatera memberikan bukti adanya hubungan antara Indonesia dengan bangsa asing berupa artefak-artefak dari luar negeri, meskipun tidak didukung oleh data prasasti. Hal tersebut memberikan petunjuk untuk mencari bukti awal hubungan dengan bangsa lain di daerah pesisir pantai. Penelitian di pesisir pantai utara Jawa Tengah ini dilakukan dengan survei, ekskavasi, dan wawancara mendalam, metode penulisan menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif. Penelitian ini berhasil menambahkan data baru berupa temuan candi di Desa Kesuben, Kecamatan Lebaksiu, Kabupaten Tegal, Jawa Tengah.Temuan yang dihasilkan berupa struktur bangunan candi dari bata, antefiks-antefiks, dan arca batu. Hingga saat ini dari penelitian ini belum diketahui latar keagamaan Candi Kesuben karena belum ditemukan artefak yang mendukung. Abstract. The Indonesian Ancient History has recorded that the oldest historical period in Central Java was the period of the Ancient Matarām Kingdom (8th – 10th centuries CE). At the same period there was the kingdom of Srivijaya on the east coast of Sumatera. On the other hand, according to Chinese chronicles, there had been a kingdom in Java in 5th century CE, namely Ho-ling (She-po). Recent investigations along the north coast of West Java and the east coast of Sumatera have yielded evidences of relations between Indonesia and foreign countries in forms of imported artifacts, although this is not supported by inscriptions. This indicates that evidences of international relations have to be searched in coastal areas because it was where the relations began. The research on the north coast of Central Java was carried out in forms of survey, excavation, and thorough interviews, and the writing method is descriptive-comparative. This research has provided new evidence in form of a candi (temple) at Kesuben Village in Lebaksiu District, Tegal Regency, Central Java. The finds include structure of candi made of bricks, antefixes, and stone statues. Unfortunately we have not been able to identify the religious background of the Candi Kesuben (Kesuben Temple) because there has not been any artifact that can support the identification.

<p><em>Parents have a very important and central role in the formation of religious attitudes and the defense of Hindu adolescent religiosity. The impacts caused by social interaction in different societies of different religious backgrounds, greatly affect the development of Hindu teenagers, especially in terms of psychic (mental). If the important role of parents can be applied optimally in the family, then the case of religious adolescent decline in religiosity will be suppressed.</em></p><p><em>This research was conducted in Tulungagung District, East Java Province. The purpose of this study is to know: (1) the background of the need for religious adolescent religiosity in Tulungagung regency; (2) obstacles that hinder the maintenance of the religiosity of Hindu adolescents in Tulungagung District; and (3) the efforts that parents need to make in the defense of Hindu adolescent religiosity in Tulungagung District.</em></p><p><em>The results showed that religious adolescent religious religiosity was perpetuated through religious activities. In addition, the role of parents and Hindu society is also very influential on the religiosity of Hindu adolescents. Constraints that hamper the defense of Hindu adolescent religiosity can be grouped into two, namely internal constraints and external constraints. Efforts that can be done by the parents as the most important party to maintain the religiosity of Hindu adolescents is to provide education about the teachings of Hinduism early in the child, provide an example of how to diligent teachings of Hinduism properly, and familiarize children perform religious practices. If the effort can be well implemented by the parents, then sraddha and bhakti adolescent Hindu will become very strong and not easily wavered by the influence that exists in the environment.</em></p><p><em> </em></p>

Almost all developed and progressed countries, reading activities are a necessity, as well as clothing, food and shelter needs. Reading is an important activity for having good generations that have a broad insight in everything and certainly are sensitive to the conditions of the surrounding environment. One way to grow and increase the reading interest for rural communities so that it becomes a culture is to establish a library, more precisely the Village Library. In this activity, the team of English Department formulated the problem of how the perspectives of the Kepunten Village community on reading habits in the Village Library were mainly about the procurement of the number and collection of books, reading interest, community interest, introduction, utilization and application of English literacy. The method used in seeing the results of the Devotion Program to Society (PPM) of English Language Education Program was described quantitatively. The results showed that reading habits from an early age supported by a variety of reading materials in Indonesia or English Language can encourage local people to develop themselves through village libraries supported by the local government, Devotion Programs to Society and Facilities that support the management and development of Village Libraries to better and better.

<p><em>SDN Balun 1 is a public elementary school (not SD Hindu) so students there have a homogeneous religion. Nevertheless Hinduism education still exists but is very minimal because indeed students who embrace Hinduism are also very few and Hindu Religious Education teachers also lack time to teach Hindu Religious Education as a whole. So that human behaviors that are contrary to the rules of religion seem to be caused by several factors. One of the anarchic movements in some areas, acts of drunkenness, brawls, use of alcohol and illegal drugs among the younger generation. In fostering human attitudes and behavior itself, there needs to be guidance through self-control both words, deeds and thoughts. The three teachings provide a guide so that humans in the movement of thoughts, words and deeds are always controlled and controlled for the sake of creating harmony in life. The theory used is cognitive learning theory, constructive learning theory and behavior change theory. This type of research is qualitative research, the type of data this research is qualitative data and data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data was collected with observation techniques, interview techniques, library techniques and documentation techniques. Furthermore, the data is analyzed by reducing data and drawing conclusions. Based on the data analysis, the results were obtained, among others, the pattern of learning Hinduism in B</em><em>alu</em><em>n 1 Lamongan Elementary School is using the Sad Dharma method in its learning, the implementation of Tri Kaya Parisuddha teaching values carried out in the teaching and learning activities of Hinduism lessons, student discipline, habituation, implementation of environmental hygiene. So that the perceived benefits are changes in behavior perceived by students and the creation of religious harmony in schools and in the community.</em></p>

Critical incident method was conducted to examine the antecedents and outcomes of students’ satisfaction. Pada penelitian iniakan dijelaskan mengenai gambaran kepesertaan KB di Provinsi Jawa Timur pada Tahun 2018.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis KB apa saja yang digunakan oleh pasangan usia subur, faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan alat kontrasepsi seperti pengetahuan, dan keterpaparan media informasi.Metode: Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menggambarkan hasil faktor yang mempengaruhikepesertaan KB di Provinsi Jawa timur melalui penjelasan data yang diperoleh dari publikasi SurveiKinerja Akuntabilitas Program 2018.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi kepesertaan KB di Provinsi JawaTimur Tahun 2018 antara lain pengetahuan. Semakin tinggi pendidikan wanita kawin usia 15-49 tahun di Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2018 menunjukkan semakin banyak terpapar media informasi dibandingkan wanita yang berpendidikan lebih rendah. Wanita yang terpapar media informasi lebih banyak menunjukkan lebih memiliki wawasan yang luas dalam menentukan metode kontrasepsi yang akan digunakannya. Metode kontrasepsi yang paling banyak digunakan oleh wanita kawin usia 15-49 tahunadalah KB suntikan 3 bulan. Peserta KB yang menggunakan KB suntikan 3 bulan lebih dari 50% diProvinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2018.Kesimpulan: Pengetahuan wanita kawin usia 15-49 tahun yang tinggi maka semakin teliti dalampemilihan metode kontrasepsi yang akan digunakannya. Semakin pengetahuan wanita tersebut baikkemungkinan untuk menggunakan KB lebih besar.ABSTRACTBackground: East Java is the second most populous province in Indonesia. The rate of population growth can be reduced through the optimization and revitalization of the implementation of the Family Planning (KB) program which is currently managed by the Population Agency (BKKBN). This study will explain the description of family planning in East Java Province in 2018. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to find out what types of birth control are used by couples of childbearing age, factors that influence the selection of contraceptives such as knowledge, and information media exposure. Methods: The research method was describing the results of factors affecting family planning participation in East Java Province through explanation publication data Accountability Performance Survey Program 2018. The results showed that factors affecting family planning participation in East Java Province in 2018 included knowledge. The higher women knowledge the more careful in the selection of contraceptive methods to be used. The better the woman's knowledge the possibility to use birth control is greater than women whose knowledge is low. The higher education of married women aged 15-49 years in East Java Province in 2018 shows more exposure to information media compared to women with lower education. Women who are exposed to more information media show more insight into determining which contraceptive method they will use. The most widely used contraceptive method by married women ages 15-49 is 3-month injection birth control. Woman who use 3-month injection are more than 50% in East Java Province in 2018.Conclusion: High knowledge of married women aged 15-49 years, the more careful in the selection ofcontraception methods. The good knowledge a woman has, the greater possibility for using KB.

Program ini telah mengintegrasikan program parenting berbasis desa dalam sinergitas ekonomi keluarga berupa sosialisasi dan pendampingan parenting berbasis desa yang dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan selama tiga bulan. Dengan metode RRA (Rapid Rural Appraisal) yaitu metode untuk mendapatkan data secara akurat untuk memahami kondisi pedesaan pada tingkat komunitas lokal dan juga PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) yaitu sebuah metode untuk mempelajari kondisi pedesaan dari, dengan dan oleh masyarakat desa itu sendiri. Adapun lokasi adalah desa Oro-oro Ombo Kota Batu Jawa Timur yang merupakan kota wisata. Materi yang disampaikan adalah parenting dalam meningkatkan kualitas Pendidikan keluarga. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan adalah kesadaran orang tua terhadap Pendidikan, pola asuh pengasuhan anak serta membangun minesite bahwa pendidikan merupakan investasi pembangunan nasional. Community service is one part of higher education thridharma that must be carried out by all lecturers and other academicians to be involved in these activities. The Islamic University of Malang has supported community service programs with internal funding which will be implemented throughout Indonesia in 2021. This program has integrated village-based parenting programs into family economic synergy in the form of village-based parenting socialization and assistance which is carried out continuously for three months. With the RRA (Rapid Rural Appraisal) method, which is a method for obtaining accurate data to understand rural conditions at the local community level and also PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal), which is a method for studying rural conditions from, with and by the village community itself. The location is the village of Oro-oro Ombo, Batu City, East Java, which is a tourist city. The material presented is parenting in improving the quality of family education. As for the results obtained, the parents' awareness of education, parenting, and building a minesite that education is an investment in national development.

Abstract:
This study aims to describe playing activities in the context of teaching religious and moral values in a kindergarten in Jember Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative. The data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses an interactive model through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The method of checking the data's validity is through the source, technical, and time triangulation. This study's data sources were the board of teachers or educators and students aged 5 to 6 years in a kindergarten institution. This research focused on how educators develop religious and moral values ??through the play method using simple media, such as cards, balls, paper, and alphabet blocks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas bermain dalam rangka penanaman nilai-nilai keagamaan dan nilai moral yang berlangsung di sebuah taman kanak-kanak di Kabupaten Jember, Provinsi Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif melaluli reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data melalui triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan triangulasi waktu. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah dewan guru atau pendidik dan peserta didik berusia 5 sampai 6 tahun pada sebuah lembaga taman kanak-kanak. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada bagaimana cara pendidik mengembangkan nilai agama dan moral melalui metode bermain dengan memanfaatkan media sederhana, seperti kartu, bola, kertas, dan balok abjad.
