Abstract:
Problem statement: In contrast to the European languages in Arabic, the expression of possessive relations occurs in other ways, namely, well-known, and in the first place these are constructions with idafa (´iḍāfah), as well as constructions with prepositions. In our work, we consider constructions with the preposition li- and the preposition min, as one of the means of expressing possession in the Arabic language. Results. In the function of prepositions to express possessive relations, in addition to the mentioned prepositions, “improper prepositions” can be used, which are usually not used as independent names. Possessive relations in the Arabic language can be expressed by particles playing the role of prepositions (inda), and official words (siwa, gayra) are also used. A similar pattern is observed in Arabic dialects. In some (Moorish) old prepositions from literary Arabic are preserved. In others (Moroccan), this function is performed by service words (d, dyāl, mtāε). Conclusion. Thus, prepositions take an active part in the expression of possession in the Arabic language and its dialects. The functions of prepositions in the Arabic language are taken over by particles. With the help of particles and words playing the role of prepositions between the components of phrases, a possessive connection can be made. Syntactically and semantically, prepositions can be replaced by the genitive or idafa construct, but in some cases the prepositional group is preferable.

Abstract:
The much-heralded anti-poverty strategy of asset-building has been adopted by many countries across the world. Asset-building programmes are designed to help low-income families achieve long-term financial stability through savings and asset accumulation. This article offers a comprehensive and critical review of the current state of theory and research on asset-building programmes, with an emphasis on Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) in the United States. Studies of IDAs have involved quantitative evaluations of the programme, focusing on three key topics: the programme’s effects on clients’ savings behaviour, its effects on clients’ outlook on life, and its long-term impact. On the basis of a careful review of these findings, it is argued that the claim that IDA programmes and asset-building in general have the potential to reduce poverty is overrated and premature. The article builds on theoretical insights regarding the nature of neoliberalism to make sense of the picture portrayed in the research literature.

Abstract:
Problem statement: In contrast to the European languages in Arabic, the expression of possessive relations occurs in other ways, namely, well-known, and in the first place these are constructions with idafa (´ iḍāfah ), as well as constructions with prepositions. In our work, we consider constructions with the preposition li- and the preposition min , as one of the means of expressing possession in the Arabic language. Results. Abstract:
In this research, we combine relational learning with multi-domain to develop a formal framework for a recommendation system. The design of our framework aims at: (i) constructing general rules for recommendations, (ii) providing suggested items with clear and understandable explanations, (iii) delivering a broad range of recommendations including novel and unexpected items. We use relational learning to find all possible relations, including novel relations, and to form the general rules for recommendations. Each rule is represented in relational logic, a formal language, associating with probability. The rules are used to suggest the items, in any domain, to the user whose preferences or other properties satisfy the conditions of the rule. The information described by the rule serves as an explanation for the suggested item. It states clearly why the items are chosen for the users. The explanation is in if-then logical format which is unambiguous, less redundant and more concise compared to a natural language used in other explanation recommendation systems. The explanation itself can help persuade the user to try out the suggested items, and the associated probability can drive the user to make a decision easier and faster with more confidence. Incorporating information or knowledge from multiple domains allows us to broaden our search space and provides us with more opportunities to discover items which are previously unseen or surprised to a user resulting in a wide range of recommendations. The experiment results show that our proposed algorithm is very promising. Although the quality of recommendations provided by our framework is moderate, our framework does produce interesting recommendations not found in the primitive single-domain based system and with simple and understandable explanations.

Abstract:
Mining frequent simultaneous attribute co-variations in numerical databases is also called frequent gradual pattern problem. Few efficient algorithms for automatically extracting such patterns have been reported in the literature. Their main difference resides in the variation semantics used. However in applications with temporal order relations, those algorithms fail to generate correct frequent gradual patterns as they do not take this temporal constraint into account in the mining process. In this paper, we propose an approach for extracting frequent gradual patterns for which the ordering of supporting objects matches the temporal order. This approach considerably reduces the number of gradual patterns within an ordered data set. The experimental results show the benefits of our approach.

Abstract:
The integration of incomplete and uncertain information has emerged as a crucial issue in many application domains, including data warehousing, data mining, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. This paper proposes a novel approach of mediation-based integration for integrating these types of information from heterogeneous relational databases. We present in detail the different processes in the layered architecture of the proposed flexible mediator system. The integration process of our mediator is based on the use of fuzzy logic and semantic similarity measures for more effective integration of incomplete and uncertain information. We also define fuzzy views over the mediator’s global fuzzy schema to express incomplete and uncertain databases and specify the mappings between this global schema and these sources. Moreover, our approach provides intelligent data integration, enabling efficient generation of cooperative answers from similar ones, retrieved by queried flexible wrappers. These answers contain information that is more detailed and complete than the information contained in the initial answers. A thorough experiment verifies our approach improves the performance of data integration under various configurations.

Abstract:
Social networks have become increasingly popular and are commonly used in everyday life. They also become the most convenient places to send information or receive advertisements. The multiplex network is an important study topic in social networks, in which many features could be appropriately represented in different layers. In this paper, we propose an approach to find the multiplex interaction relationships based on the action records of users on social networks. The multiplex user interactions are found and divided into three levels: high, normal and low. They are then used to check the friend and the follower relations such that users can find which friends or followers are active or not. In the experiments, the parameters are chosen based on Dunbar’s number, which is the number of social relationships that humans can have with high confidence. The results show the proposed approach is effective in helping users know the truly close friend relationships on a social network.

Abstract:
Humans tend to organize information in documents in a logical and intentional way. This organization, which we call textual structure, is commonly in terms of sections, chapters, paragraphs, or sentences. This structure facilitates the understanding of the content that we want to transmit to the readers. However, such structure, in which we usually encode the semantic content of information, is not usually exploited by the filtering methods for the construction of a user profile. In this work, we propose the use of term relations considering different context levels for enhancing document filtering. We propose methods for obtaining the representation, considering the existence of imbalance between the documents that satisfy the information needs of users, as well as the Cold Start problem (having scarce information) during the initial construction of the user profile. The experiments carried out allowed to assess the impact, in terms of T11SU measure, on the filtering task of the proposed representation.

Abstract:
The main objective of the study was to analyze the characteristics of state regulation of the labor market in a crisis. Structural changes in the labor market are due, among other reasons, to the transformation of public and economic relations in today's globalized world. Increased competition, the development of the knowledge economy, information technology, changes in the content and forms of work require updating the system of labor market regulation. The research methodology of the study involved the use of cognition methods such as: induction and deduction, comparison and systematization to characterize the understanding of the essence of the addressed problem. In addition, the structure developed included a basic documentary study, together with IDEF modeling. It was concluded that the labor market is subject to market, corporate, state and interstate regulation, the combination of which depends on a number of dialectical factors that are formed as a function of time and space. On the other hand, market regulation is spontaneous, and corporate, state and interstate regulation, unlike market regulation, is rather biased and strictly regulated by specific policies.

Abstract:
With the prevalence of online review websites, large-scale data promote the necessity of focused analysis. This task aims to capture the information that is highly relevant to a specific aspect. However, the broad scope of the aspects of the various products makes this task overarching but challenging. A commonly used solution is to modify the topic models with additional information to capture the features for a specific aspect (referred to as a targeted aspect). However, the existing topic models, either perform the full analysis to capture features as many as possible or estimate the similarity to capture features as coherent as possible, overlook the fine-grained semantic relations between the features, resulting in the captured features coarse and confusing. In this paper, we propose a novel Hierarchical Features-based Topic Model (HFTM) to extract targeted aspects from online reviews, then to capture the aspect-specific features. Specifically, our model can not only capture the direct features posing target-to-feature semantics but also capture the latent features posing feature-to-feature semantics. The experiments conducted on real-world datasets demonstrate that HFTMl outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines in terms of both aspect extraction and document classification.

Abstract:
Network Embedding (NE) has emerged as a powerful tool in many applications. Many real-world networks have multiple types of relations between the same entities, which are appropriate to be modeled as multiplex networks. However, at random walk-based embedding study for multiplex networks, very little attention has been paid to the problems of sampling bias and imbalanced relation types. In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Node Embedding Framework (ANEF) based on cross-layer sampling strategies of nodes for multiplex networks. ANEF is the first framework to focus on the bias issue of sampling strategies. Through metropolis hastings random walk (MHRW) and forest fire sampling (FFS), ANEF is less likely to be trapped in local structure with high degree nodes. We utilize a fixed-length queue to record previously visited layers, which can balance the edge distribution over different layers in sampled node sequence processes. In addition, to adaptively sample the cross-layer context of nodes, we also propose a node metric called Neighbors Partition Coefficient (NPC). Experiments on real-world networks in diverse fields show that our framework outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in application tasks such as cross-domain link prediction and mutual community detection.

Abstract:
Link prediction on heterogeneous information network (HIN) is considered as a challenge problem due to the complexity and diversity in types of nodes and links. Currently, there are remained challenges of meta-path-based link prediction in HIN. Previous works of link prediction in HIN via network embedding approach are mainly focused on exploiting features of node rather than existing relations in forms of meta-paths between nodes. In fact, predicting the existence of new links between non-linked nodes is absolutely inconvincible. Moreover, recent HIN-based embedding models also lack of thorough evaluations on the topic similarity between text-based nodes along given meta-paths. To tackle these challenges, in this paper, we proposed a novel approach of topic-driven multiple meta-path-based HIN representation learning framework, namely W-MMP2Vec. Our model leverages the quality of node representations by combining multiple meta-paths as well as calculating the topic similarity weight for each meta-path during the processes of network embedding learning in content-based HINs. To validate our approach, we apply W-TMP2Vec model in solving several link prediction tasks in both content-based and non-content-based HINs (DBLP, IMDB and BlogCatalog). The experimental outputs demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed model which outperforms recent state-of-the-art HIN representation learning models.

Abstract:
Recently, rapid growth of social networks and online news resources from Internet have made text stream clustering become an insufficient application in multiple domains (e.g.: text retrieval diversification, social event detection, text summarization, etc.) Different from traditional static text clustering approach, text stream clustering task has specific key challenges related to the rapid change of topics/clusters and high-velocity of coming streaming document batches. Recent well-known model-based text stream clustering models, such as: DTM, DCT, MStream, etc. are considered as word-independent evaluation approach which means largely ignoring the relations between words while sampling clusters/topics. It definitely leads to the decrease of overall model accuracy performance, especially for short-length text documents such as comments, microblogs, etc. in social networks. To tackle these existing problems, in this paper we propose a novel approach of graph-of-words (GOWs) based text stream clustering, called GOW-Stream. The application of common GOWs which are generated from each document batch while sampling clusters/topics can support to overcome the word-independent evaluation challenge. Our proposed GOW-Stream is promising to significantly achieve better text stream clustering performance than recent state-of-the-art baselines. Extensive experiments on multiple benchmark real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model in both accuracy and time-consuming performances.

Abstract:
Physical, sexual, verbal and economic abuse, also known as Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), comprise a major public health problem. IPV risk factors include poverty, stress, substance use, depression, and history of child maltreatment. Protective factors include human capital (functional health and work competencies/qualifications), social capital (formal/informal relationships and resources) and financial capital (income and assets). Traditional IPV initiatives focus on increasing social capital by changing the cognition and/or behaviour of victims or perpetrators and increasing legal sanctions and supportive resources. The proposed Asset Model of IPV Resolution extends the current model to include an ecological approach to the prevention and resolution of IPV. In addition to human and social capital development, the authors suggest financial capital development through Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) as one social policy initiative to support women at risk of or women who experience IPV.

Abstract:
The dense deployment of small cell networks is a key feature of next generation mobile networks aimed at providing the necessary capacity increase. In order to reach an acceptable performance in such ultra-dense networks, real-time resource management is of great importance. Therefore, self-optimization networking is proposed as the only viable solution to increase the networks’ utility. This paper proposed a self-optimizing model to enhance network performance and guarantee the users’ QoS requirements by considering limited resources and using effective user association, carrier scheduling and handover optimization algorithms. In order to maximize the network performance, we applied the smart backhauling technique in order to analyze the signaling to increase the validity of the decision making process. Based on the semantic information extracted from the access layer, the network decision-making center is able to adjust the network parameters and resource allocation effectively. The goal function is defined as maximizing the total energy efficiency by considering the transmission power, energy harvesting capability and the user QoS constraints so that the idle small cells are considered turned off temporarily to boost the power efficiency. Although the optimization problem is non-convex, a quadratic mixed-integer function is solved to obtain a global optimal solution. Since the actual implementation of the real-time algorithm has high computational complexity, two algorithms with different complexity levels are proposed. These algorithms use the carrier matching feature and optimal transmission power for problem-solving. The simulation results prove that, despite the increased computational complexity, effective resource allocation and optimal HO relations made the proposed approach capable to increase performance indices such as network throughput by up to 30%.

Abstract:
AbstractTests and scales measuring psychological disorders should provide information about how scores relate to other constructs such as quality of life or functional impairment. Such information is necessary to allow that their scores contribute to clinical decision making. The current study analyzes the clinical utility of the Spanish version of the Inventory for Depression and Anxiety Symptoms (IDAS-II) to discriminate between different levels of functional impairment and identify the IDAS-II scales that contribute most to explaining impairment. The total sample (N = 1390) consists of two subsamples: a community sample of the general population (n = 1072) selected by random sampling; and a sample of patients (n = 318) from public and private mental health services. The Spanish IDAS-II for measuring internalizing symptoms and WHODAS 2.0 for measuring impairment were administered to all participants. All scales show statistically significant higher scores in the patient sample, with Cohen's d effect sizes values greater than 0.30, except for well-being (d = 0.19). The cutoff values and their confidence intervals do not overlap with the means of either the community or patient sample. AUC values for most of the scales are above .70, except for appetite gain, ordering, euphoria, cleaning, and well-being. Multiple linear regression model using IDAS-II scales explain 57.1% of the variance of the WHODAS 2.0 (F12.1377 = 155.305; p < .001). Cutoff values provided allow us to reliably differentiate between the patients and community samples. Spanish IDAS-II scores show greater sensitivity and specificity in detecting those with greater impairment. General Depression, Lassitude, Panic and Claustrophobia contribute to impairment in a greater extent. Knowledge of which symptoms are most related with impairment, allows healthcare providers to improve treatment planning based on empirical evidence.

Abstract:
Sequential recommendation aims to predict users’ future activities based on their historical interaction sequences. Various neural network architectures, such as Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Graph Neural Networks (GNN), and self-attention mechanisms, have been employed in the tasks, exploring multiple aspects of user preferences, including general interests, short-term interests, long-term interests, and item co-occurrence patterns. Despite achieving good performance, there are still limitations in capturing complex user preferences. Specifically, the current structures of RNN, GNN, etc., only capture item-level transition relations while neglecting attribute-level transition relations. Additionally, the explicit item relations are studied using item co-occurrence modules, but they cannot capture the implicit item-item relations. To address these issues, we propose a knowledge-augmented Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) to improve the short-term user interest module and adopt a collaborative item aggregation method to enhance the item co-occurrence module. Additionally, our long-term interest module utilizes a bitwise gating mechanism to select historical item features significant to users’ current preferences. We extensively evaluate our model on three real-world datasets alongside competitive methods, demonstrating its effectiveness in top K sequential recommendation.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) are of great help when researchers try to understand the nature of causal relationships and the consequences of conditioning on different variables. One fundamental feature of causal relations that has not been incorporated into the standard DAG framework is interaction, i.e. when the effect of one variable (on a chosen scale) depends on the value that another variable is set to. In this paper, we propose a new type of DAG—the interaction DAG (IDAG), which can be used to understand this phenomenon. Methods The IDAG works like any DAG but instead of including a node for the outcome, it includes a node for a causal effect. We introduce concepts such as confounded interaction and total, direct and indirect interaction, showing that these can be depicted in ways analogous to how similar concepts are depicted in standard DAGs. This also allows for conclusions on which treatment interactions to account for empirically. Moreover, since generalizability can be compromised in the presence of underlying interactions, the framework can be used to illustrate threats to generalizability and to identify variables to account for in order to make results valid for the target population. Conclusions The IDAG allows for a both intuitive and stringent way of illustrating interactions. It helps to distinguish between causal and non-causal mechanisms behind effect variation. Conclusions about how to empirically estimate interactions can be drawn—as well as conclusions about how to achieve generalizability in contexts where interest lies in estimating an overall effect.

Abstract:
Relation extraction is one of the core tasks of natural language processing, which aims to identify entities in unstructured text and judge the semantic relationships between them. In the traditional methods, the extraction of rich features and the judgment of complex semantic relations are inadequate. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a relation extraction model, HAGCN, based on heterogeneous graph convolutional neural network and graph attention mechanism. We have constructed two different types of nodes, words and relations, in a heterogeneous graph convolutional neural network, which are used to extract different semantic types and attributes and further extract contextual semantic representations. By incorporating the graph attention mechanism to distinguish the importance of different information, and the model has stronger representation ability. In addition, an information update mechanism is designed in the model. Relation extraction is performed after iteratively fusing the node semantic information to obtain a more comprehensive node representation. The experimental results show that the HAGCN model achieves good relation extraction performance, and its F1 value reaches 91.51% in the SemEval-2010 Task 8 dataset. In addition, the HAGCN model also has good results in the WebNLG dataset, verifying the generalization ability of the model.

Abstract:
The nature of relations between Muslims and non-Muslims has always been remained debatable. The notion that Muslim International Law (MIL) does not recognize co-existence of other nation states and it gives non-Muslims only option to embrace Islam. This comprehension is based on low arguments because MIL strives to maintain peaceful relations with non-Muslims and also recognize co-existence of nation states. MIL divides the world into different parts: Dar al-Islām, Dār al-Kufr and Dār al- ‘hd. MIL gives authority to Muslim state as well as Muslim individual to award protection to non-Muslim in both the situations of war and peace. The authority of awarding protection to non-Muslim is called Amān which is discussed by Shaybānī, the founder of MIL. According to Shaybānī, If Amān is demanded by non-Muslims, then Muslims are bound to award them According to him, the authority of Muslim individual to award Amān cannot be snatched by Muslim state. On the other hand, Contemporary International Law (CIL) also recognizes protection of combatants called “Quarter”, protection of homeless people called “refugees” and protection of foreigners called “asylum”. The protection recognizes by CIL is the sole authority of state. This study sums up that the notion of Shaybānī about awarding Amān is quite comprehensive as compare to the concepts of the CIL.

Abstract:
Abstract Thousands of people had to flee their homes when Cyclone Idai hit Mozambique in 2019. In its aftermath, the government resettled more than 80,000 people from high-risk areas to safer ground. This article analyses resettlement as a durable solution to disaster response. The question of durable resettlement due to climate-related displacement is especially pertinent in the light of ongoing climate change. Based on empirical research, we show that, although the government succeeded in providing a short-term response to the disaster, there are two major impediments to using resettlement as a durable solution: the lack of citizen participation in the decision-making process leading to resettlement; and the gap between the short-term humanitarian perspective and a longer-term development viewpoint. Resettlement can hardly be seen as a durable solution to climate-related displacement as long as key principles are not respected.

Abstract:
Process discovery techniques analyze process logs to extract models that characterize the behavior of business processes. In real-life logs, however, noises exist and adversely affect the extraction and thus decrease the understandability of discovered models. In this paper, we propose a novel double granularity filtering method, executed on both the event and trace levels, to detect noises by analyzing the directly-following and parallel relations between events. Based on the probability of an event occurring in a sequence, the infrequent behaviors and redundant events in the logs can be filtered out. In addition, the missing events in parallel blocks are detected to further improve the performance of filtering. Experiments on synthetic logs and five real-life datasets demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms other state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract:
Contacts and relations between Arabs and subcontinent are primitive. When Islam was spread and the Islamic state was extended to this region. The subcontinent was enlightened by Islam and was cultured by its civilization. The residents of the Indian subcontinent were impressed by Arabs and their civilization and culture and as a result, wrote many books in the Arabic language in different fields. The impact of all this is that the residents of the subcontinent were highly influenced with the Arabs but as we know these influences and impacts between the two kinds of literature were not only from one side, indeed a mutual exchange of influences occurred. Arab writers and poets wrote many books and eulogies about Pakistan its problems its cities and its famous personalities like Muhammad Ali Johar, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, etc. This study attempts to employ descriptive, comparative and analytical survey of Arabic works focusing on the life and struggles of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This study also highlights the misconceptions found in literary works of Arab Scholars about historical facts concerned with the political history of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
