Abstract:
"Seeing, according to the enactive approach, is not something that happens inside our brain, rather it is something we do, but, as I will argue thanks to the performance art, it is something we do together. The performing arts, with their characteristics – autopoietic feedback loop, spectator/performer exchange, oscillation of the dichotomous subject-object pair - constitute a model through which to in-vestigate the nature of our perception, which is constitutively relational, participative, and transformative. Keywords: Enactivis, performing arts, percep-tion, enactive loniness, transformation. "

Abstract:
In relationship centred medicine perspective it is essential to take into account an ethical principle model for our actions, in a meta-analytical foundational perspective, facing concrete and at the same time complex problems in health care, we have to frame them not in terms of strictly defined principles, either formulate them by general acontextual interpretations or resolve them through abstract procedures.Clinical ethics has been enriched by several contributions that deepen a strict principalist perspective. It is from the observation that the clinic relationship creates, in a space and a time, conditions for the emergence of experiential values of the patient and of the professionals through which you can build a relationship of trust (and not through a process merely procedural), that other ethical questionings emerged in this problematization area (ethics of care, hermeneutics, narrative ethics, responsibility ethics). We describe the way this theoretical and deliberative relational ethical model can be easily applied to different ethical issues in psychiatry practice and research.Relational ethics integrates three basic polarities: creating conditions of personhood authenticity, developing a process of reciprocal mutuality and generating an opportunity of growth, development and enhancement. The hermeneutic helical deliberative process takes always in consideration the context relativity and contingency, the other's perspectives and, by creative co-authorship cooperation, allows the emergence of new possibilities of transformative developmental issues.

Abstract:
Abstract Coming from a Nordic environment, professionally working in teacher education, both authors engaged in developmental work and research in the Uluguru mountains in Tanzania. The research is carried out in a community-based organization for vulnerable youth, Mgeta Orphan Education Foundation (MOEF), which builds on principles of action learning and action research. We have followed and participated in the development of the organization since 2010, and this article builds on data gathered in 2016-17. We will show and discuss some of the transformations we have witnessed, mainly in the older members. The transformations seem to have an emergent character, and we examine further factors we have seen as crucial for transforming the lives of the young people in the orphan education project. Surprisingly, duty was a factor coming forth in the data. The youth perceived duty in a relational way, mainly caused by inner motivation nurtured by the example of their coordinator, Solomon, and by facing the continuous, emergent need for assistance in their local communities. Less surprisingly, belonging transpired as a fundamental factor. Previously, we have analyzed the transformational learning among the youngsters, and identified a set of transformational tools (Gjotterud, Krogh, Dyngeland, & Mwakasumba, 2015). Building on the transformational tools, we have derived a model for Relational Transformation. Transformative action research is the approach we follow, and one aim of this article is to contribute to the understanding of the reciprocity of transformative processes in transformative research.

Abstract:
Can spiritual practice encourage transformative learning? In this article, we unpack how spiritual practices from the Buddhist tradition—mindfulness—and the Quaker tradition—discernment—encourage the attainment of moral reflexivity and the capacity to transform self in individual and relational organizational contexts, respectively. We also show how moral reflexivity and self-transformation are mutually reinforcing and promote a transformational cycle of management learning. We propose that “mindful reflexivity”, a foundational model of spiritually informed moral reflexivity, can contribute to new ways of management learning through its context sensitivity and ethical orientation to foster the kinds of reflexivity needed for responsible management. Our article concludes with implications for management learning theory and practice, and we offer pathways for future research.

Abstract:
Purpose Corporations operating global value chains must grapple with a multiplicity of ethical and practical considerations, most notably when value chains extend to emerging markets. Such contexts involve interactions with diverse stakeholders who possess the ability to impact supply chain performance, but who also bring conflicting needs, values and interests. The purpose of this paper is to outline a transformative model of supply chain fairness, arguing that adopting plural fairness principles and practices generates a higher fairness equilibrium which includes all affected stakeholders in the production of fairness outcomes, with consequent positive organizational and system level impacts. Design/methodology/approach Through a philosophically informed overview of the literature on organizational fairness, the paper applies fairness to the management of supplier relations to identify the institutional features of ethically sustainable supply chains. The proposed conceptual model uses a complex adaptive systems approach (CADs), supplemented by describing the contribution of fairness norms and practices. Findings This paper argues that a transformative approach to supply chain fairness can suggest new structures for interaction between firms, stakeholders, mediating institutions and governments. Originality/value Emerging market supply chains are facing significant changes. Adopting a complex adaptive systems perspective upon stakeholder relationships, this paper offers insights from the theoretical literature on fairness, and proposes a normative model of supply chain fairness which accounts for both the normative and empirical aspects of relational complexity.

Abstract:
Holistic ministry is now the standard across global missional practice, and one manifestation of integral mission is Entrepreneurial Church Planting (ECP). This occurs when business entrepreneurs and clergy members launch spiritually and economically integrated communities of faith. While it may be conceptually inviting for spiritual and business forces to comingle in reaching the lost, ECP activities need to be evaluated as to whether they are accomplishing the goals of the Great Commission and the Creation Commission. In-depth study is needed now to consider outcomes relative to goals. To that end, this study will examine the unique data trends that emerge in the case study of Kentucky-based Meridzo Ministries. Grassroots insights from case-study research will then be applied to Clemens Sedmak’s kinship model in order to posit three proxy indicators based upon interviewee data. This article argues that rather than measuring success of missions economically or spiritually, success should be gauged on the grounds of holistic relational transformation.

Abstract:
The transmedia narrative of the scope of Season of Migration to The North, emphasizes substantial composite creations where specific characters and idiosyncratic plot lines imply a neo-perception method and a post-conception model within the dimensionality of understanding becomes a generative system and a transformative experience. In this run, the anamorphic format of imagination and intellection inside the indigenized process of encoding, designs a new method of normative functionalism, an original attitude of discernments and a prima materia empirical perceptive consignment. Therefore, through a relational value of model and an aesthetic realism, Salih defines an innovative interactive and immersive reality within an analytic functionalism and a psycho-functionalist view in the perspective to transcend the Islamist conservative approach of formal concept analysis and then to deconstruct the Western absorption of temporal concept analysis. It is within this respect, the principle of this paper appears to be a social deconstructionism, a modality and property differentiation concerning the status quo of the Be-ing, and a transformative reform about anthropological prerequisites and requests. In this respect, the realm of functionalism, functional linguistic and aesthetic realism involve this Salih’s object argument in a transgressive object relation.

AbstractThis paper investigates Vācaspati Miśra’s remarkably complex argumentative architecture in support of non-difference by means of a microsimulation model, the classical gold-crown case. A full range of positions, including instantaneism, transformative continuum, indeterminate common basis reference, difference and non-difference coordination, etc., is put under the scrutiny of the Vācaspati Miśra’s dialectic effort. The possibility of coexistence of multiple properties with a single referent is then formally explored. The analysis is carried out in compliance with the ‘Navya-Nyāya Formal Language’ extensional set-based approach and its non-predicative, and variables free, relational syntax. Repeatable modules and structures of reasoning are identified and designed in the form of hypothesis frameworks, axioms and theorems to allow more accurate inferences, in particular regarding transformation and permanence, together with possible or impossible plexuses of properties. Identity and difference qua mutual absence are thoroughly defined with the aid of these formal tools, which conjointly might cast new light on the heuristic and expressive power of Navya-Nyāya logic, as well as on the theoretical potentialities of the non-dualistic account.

Abstract:
Using the image of a fractal, a Spirit-centered approach to counseling is proposed that conceptualizes the Spirit’s activity as seeking to replicate the patterns of God’s redemptive story throughout creation by facilitating deep second-order change. Involving an epistemological shift from ways of knowing shaped by the conventional wisdom of culture to a renewed mind grounded in the transformative wisdom of Jesus, this deep change is explored from the perspectives of science and Scripture. Integrating findings from systems theory with the ministry and message of Jesus, this approach to counseling emphasizes relational premises and values believed to be characteristic of the mind of the Spirit. Defined as the capacity to know and see in ways that are consistent with the passion and purposes of God, cultivating the mind of the Spirit is viewed as the essence of Spirit-centered counseling. Presumed to be seen most clearly in the life of Jesus, this model focuses on his distinctive way of knowing and seeing by examining what can be learned about the epistemological facets of perception and meaning-making when comparing his Way with the patterns of this world. It is proposed that Spirit-centered counseling is guided by the premises and patterns contained in Jesus’ transformative wisdom.

Abstract:
Through the implementation of low carbon-based energy systems and participatory modes of governance, there are countless collective initiatives progressing towards a sustainable and resilient energy model. Local alternatives necessarily have to be able to scale in order to address global challenges. From the renewed paradigm of the commons, this empirical research provides a precise picture of the present scalability of these (self) transformative initiatives in Spain. Based on the identification and qualitative analysis of 18 of them via semi-structured in-depth interviews, the article explores their upper and lower limits; the importance of power distribution and citizen participation; the relational dimension of the scale; the upscaling forms and the role of public institutions. On the basis of the results obtained, the article finally presents recommendations aimed at strengthening this scalability of the energy commons.

Abstract:
As the post-pandemic era gradually dawns upon us, the hospitality industry seems to be slow in recovery, partly due to the continuous stress over being infected in public and hospitality places. Scholars have recommended that hospitality establishments seriously consider the potential benefits of artificial intelligence, social distancing, and cleanliness to fast-track the industry’s recovery post-lockdown. This study contributes to that stream of research by proposing and testing a model that demonstrates that through alleviating COVID stress, therapeutic servicescapes at hospitality establishments could promote customers’ revisit intention post-lockdown. We argue that therapeutic servicescapes have potential marketing and strategic benefits that could fast-track the hospitality industry’s recovery while promoting customers’ well-being. This is because servicescapes at hospitality establishments can be designed in such a way that it delivers transformative health-related benefits. Findings from the analysis of data collected from 213 relaxation bar customers support the study’s hypotheses; that reflective second-order therapeutic servicescape is positively related to customers’ revisit intention to relaxation bars through its negative effect on COVID stress. This study theoretically contributes to the literature by empirically demonstrating that a blend of social and physical settings to form therapeutic servicescapes with restorative potentials do occur in commercial hospitality settings. Practically, the findings of the study suggest that managers should seek to blend the restorative potential of the natural environment with relational resources to enhance the therapeutic potential of their place of business. As customers emerge from social isolation experienced during the lockdown, relational resources in hospitality establishments could go a long way. This would not only deliver health-related benefits to customers, but it would also provide marketing and strategic benefits to hospitality establishments.

An important part of teachers’ work constitutes being seen, heard and understood in communicative practice in encounters with pupils, colleagues and parents. This performative relational communication practice is a cross-disciplinary competence, which, independent of subject, is of great importance for the performance of pedagogical practice. The teaching profession is a phonic profession, and personal expression through language, voice, body, gaze and face is of decisive importance in a teacher’s daily work. In this position paper the elements of this competence are described. The authors identify and make visible how it can be trained, developed and learnt. They make an argument for professional orality (PO) as a transdisciplinary field of knowledge and compound competence in need of exploration and research. Based on a review of relevant research the authors outline three perspectives on teaching and research in the field of knowledge connected to PO: ethics, teaching and learning of PO with a performative and aesthetic approach, and adults’ transformative learning. The characteristics of training of PO are illustrated through development of a basic arts educational model. In the conclusion the challenges regarding developing a vocabulary for the teaching and learning of PO are presented, and the distinct areas in need of exploration and research are acknowledged.

Abstract:
This article is aimed at studying the problems of the development of social innovation and finding ways to form conceptual clarity and a solid theoretical basis for social innovation. In the article, the concept of social innovation is conceptualized as a change in social relations in society, including new ways of action, cognition, formation and organization, and is theorized as transformative social innovations, i.e. as a process that changes or replaces dominant institutions in a specific socio-technical and material context. Also, the article offers three approaches to the theory of transformative social innovations. Firstly, the author provides an epistemological analysis of the problems of theory construction and suggests an appropriate model and methodology of research. The middle-level theory is developed through iteration of theoretical ideas and comparative empirical research of more than 20 transnational networks of social innovation and about 100 related initiatives. Secondly, the author synthesizes various innovative theories and theories of social economics into a relational model that formulates the associated distributive agency and institutional hybridization. Thirdly, the author formulated a number of hypothetical imperatives about the emergence of social innovation initiatives, the development of ecosystems of social innovation, the processes of institutionalization and the historical formation of social innovation. The article concludes with a critical assessment of the results obtained in the course of the study, as well as the definition of directions for further research.

Abstract:
MongoDB is a database that uses document-oriented data storage models. In fact, to migrate from a relational database to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is not an easy matter especially if the data are extremely complex. Based on the documentation that has been done by several global companies related to the use of MongoDB, it can be concluded that the process of migration from RDBMS to MongoDB require quite a long time. One process that takes quite a lot is transformation of relational database schema into a document-oriented data model on MongoDB. This research discusses the development transformation system of relational database schema to the document oriented data model in MongoDB. The process of transformation is done by utilizing the structure and relationships between tables in the scheme as the main parameters of the modeling algorithm. In the process of the modeling documents, it necessary to adjustments the specifications of MongoDB document that formed document model can be implemented in MongoDB. Document models are formed from transformation process can be a single document, embedded document, referenced document or combination of these. Document models are formed depending on the type, rules, and the value of the relationships cardinality between tables in the relational database schema.

Abstract:
We extend a relational model of spirituality and transformation based on Shuts’ and Sandage's previous interdisciplinary work in Transforming Spirituality. Spirituality is conceptualized based on a relational framework, and transformation is understood as emerging through an intensification of relational anxiety. Spiritual maturity is related to differentiation of self, based on theology and social science. The risks and challenges of relational intimacy and alterity are proposed as two relational pathways toward differentiation and spiritual transformation. Practical relational strategies to enhance spiritual formation based on this model within a seminary training context are described with particular attention to intercultural development and relational justice.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to address a critical problem for health-care organizations: patient referral leakage. This paper explores the nature of patient referrals by examining how health-care providers’ breadth and depth of connectivity within a hospital network and identification with each other influence the likelihood of future patient referrals. Design/methodology/approach The data was collected by using a multi-sourced data set from the health-care industry. The proposed model was tested by using logistic regression to determine the likelihood of a primary care physician’s (PCP) referral to a specialist within a hospital network. Findings A model linking provider connectivity to examine co-creation practices in the form of patient referrals is tested. Results indicate that patient referrals are multidimensional. A PCP’s likelihood to refer to a specialist within the hospital network is influenced by the breadth and depth of connectivity of each provider. Research limitations/implications This investigation extends service ecosystems to patients, health-care providers and hospital organizations, making it the first to explore how different degrees of connectivity (breadth of referral partners and depth of exchange) between and among health-care providers influence the likelihood of future patient referrals. Findings complement extant literature on service ecosystems by empirically showing that provider relationships are interdependent and rely on the mutual coordination of benefits within the entire health-care organization and network. Practical implications Managers and health-care professionals can use the framework to build and strengthen relational ties/alliances within a service organization. An ecosystems perspective reduces patient referral leakage through enhanced organizational performance, competitive advantage and continuity of care. Originality/value The authors offer a novel view of referral relationships using hard-to-access proprietary data. Moreover, this study responds to the need for transformative service research by offering service researchers and policymakers a means to enhance consumer well-being. The main contribution of this study is a framework to gain a better understanding of patient referral relationships between employees (i.e., health-care providers) in an organization, thereby affording an opportunity to bolster operational efficiencies, improve clinical outcomes and strengthen referral pathways. By viewing health-care networks through a service ecosystems perspective, contextual boundaries and the relative power of relationships are also identified. The novel use of rarely available hospital data in this setting helps explain how patient leakage compromises the health of the ecosystem and its members.

Abstract:
Purpose Until now, many different varieties of grey relational grade methods had been proposed, and there are also many relevant publications, which include ordinal grey relational grade and cardinal grey relational grade. However, the most original and important formula is Deng’s grey relational grade. After careful study it was found that although it is an ordinal form of grey relational grade, a rational mathematics model can be used to transfer it from ordinal into cardinal. It not only can enhance the essential of Deng’s grey relational grade, but also can let Deng’s grey relational grade be used more widely. The paper aims to discuss these issue. Design/methodology/approach The paper uses fuzzy set theory to get the rational value of distinguish coefficient in Deng’s grey relational grade, then uses grey entropy method to decide the rational weighting for the analysis sequences in Deng’s grey relational grade. Findings Through the mathematics derivation, it indeed can transfer the Deng’s grey relational grade from ordinal form into cardinal form. Practical implications The paper has deeply enhanced the essential of Deng’s grey relational grade, and made Deng’s grey relational grade more available and more usable in grey system theory. Originality/value The paper has transferred the Deng’s grey relational grade from ordinal into cardinal, it can let Deng’s grey relational grade be used in a wider area.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to compare the use of two Object-Relational models against the use of a post-Relational model for a realistic application. Although real-world applications, in most cases, can be adequately modeled by the Entity-Relationship (ER) model, the transformation to the popular Relational model alters the representation of structures common in reality, like multi-valued and composite fields. Alternative database models have been developed to overcome these shortcomings. Design/methodology/approach – Based on the ER model of a medical application, this paper compares the information representation, manipulation and enforcement of integrity constraints through PostgreSQL and Oracle, against the use of a post-Relational model composed of the Conceptual Universal Database Language (CUDL) and the Conceptual Universal Database Language Abstraction Level (CAL). Findings – The CAL/CUDL pair, although more periphrastic for data definition, is simpler for data insertions, does not require the use of procedural code for data updates, produces clearer output for retrieval of attributes, can accomplish retrieval of rows based on conditions that address composite data with declarative statements and supports data validation for relationships between composite data without the need for procedural code. Research limitations/implications – To verify, in practice, the conclusions of the paper, complete implementation of a CAL/CUDL system is needed. Practical implications – The use of the CAL/CUDL pair would advance the productivity of database application development. Originality/value – This paper highlights the properties of realistic database-applications modelling and management that are desirable by developers and shows that these properties are better satisfied by the CAL/CUDL pair.

<span>The growth of application architectures in all areas (e.g. Astrology, Meteorology, E-commerce, social network, etc.) has resulted in an exponential increase in data volumes, now measured in Petabytes. Managing these volumes of data has become a problem that relational databases are no longer able to handle because of the acidity properties. In response to this scaling up, new concepts have emerged such as NoSQL. In this paper, we show how to design and apply transformation rules to migrate from an SQL relational database to a Big Data solution within NoSQL. For this, we use the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and the transformation languages like as MOF 2.0 QVT (Meta-Object Facility 2.0 Query-View-Transformation) and Acceleo which define the meta-models for the development of transformation model. The transformation rules defined in this work can generate, from the class diagram, a CQL code for creation column-oriented NoSQL database.</span>

Abstract During object-relational database physical structure design, problems are caused by three factors: ambiguity of transformations of conceptual model, multiplicity of quality assessment criteria, and a lack of constructive model. In the present study a constructive hierarchical model of physical database structure has been developed. Implementations are used in XML, SQL and Java languages. Multi-criterial structure optimisation method has also been developed. Structure variation space is generated using transformation rule database. Prototype has been implemented within the framework of the research.

Abstract:
To educate the relational well-being in order to learn to live together in society is one of the main needs of modern physical education (PE). Teachers are in need of pedagogical models to instruct peaceful coexistence and transform possible conflicts into PE. The goal of this study was to determine the effect of a pedagogical model (GIAM model) designed for conflict transformation on the relational well-being of students in obligatory secondary school (ESO in Spain). This study was an empirical research (associative strategy, comparative study using mixed methods). A number of 287 valid students (M = 14.90; SD = 0.66) participated in this study from 4 different secondary schools (SSs): third ESO (SS1 (n = 75); SS3 (n = 45); SS4 (n = 86)) and fourth ESO (SS2 (n = 81)). A sequence of seven learning sessions was conducted, the intervention of the teachers on the GIAM model and the student’s motivational climate perception caused by this learning sequence was analyzed. The teachers who best adapted their intervention to the GIAM model obtained greater significant changes (p < 0.005) in favor of the relational well-being of their students. This research provides scientific evidence and intervention strategies for students to learn how to transform the conflicts, adopting a collaborating style based on reflection-for, -in- and on-motor action.

Abstract:
A unified scheme for morphological analysis based on attribute and relational representations of mosaic image models is proposed. We consider 4 main types of model representation: functional-attribute (2D feature map), functional-relational (4D relational map), structure-resource-attribute (an area list with resources and attributes), and structure-resource-relational (a graph, which nodes correspond to regions and edges – to relations and both having resource attributes). In this case, the forms of representation of the model are equivalent to each other, in the sense that they contain the same information, there is a one-to-one correspondence between them, and the formulas for the transition from one representation to another can be written out explicitly. In this scheme, the construction of specific morphological operator for some complete image model presumes the separation of this model into two parts: the guiding (modifying) part, which determines the transformation algorithm, and the guided (modifiable) part to be transformed. These two parts of the model can intersect, therefore cannot be called “variable” and “constant” components. As a basic sample, we consider the halftone Pyt’ev morphology. We explore the specifics of different-sort models, introduce the mutual models and propose different tools for creation of model-based morphological operators. Further, various other morphological systems can be described and explored using the proposed generalized approach.

Abstract:
Building on a review of current mainstream paradigms of nature conservation, the essence of transformations necessary for effective and lasting change are presented—namely, convivial solutions (or ‘living with others’), in which relationality and an appreciation of our interdependencies are central, in contrast to life-diminishing models of individualism and materialism/secularism. We offer several areas for improvement centred on regenerative solutions, moving beyond conventional environmental protection or biophysical restoration and focusing instead on critical multidimensional relationships—amongst people and between people and the rest of nature. We focus, in particular, on the potential of people’s values and worldviews to inform morality (guiding principles and/or beliefs about right and wrong) and ethics (societal rules defining acceptable behaviour), which alone can nurture the just transformations needed for nature conservation and sustainability at all scales. Finally, we systematize the potential of regenerative solutions against a backdrop of relational approaches in sustainability sciences. In so doing, we contribute to current endeavours of the conservation community for more inclusive conservation, expanding beyond economic valuations of nature and protected areas to include more holistic models of governance that are premised on relationally-oriented value systems.

Abstract:
Model transformations constitute the key technology for model-driven software development, a software engineering discipline which became more and more important during the last decade. While tool support for unidirectional batch transformations is rather mature, bidirectional and incremental transformations are only weakly investigated. Nevertheless, several usage scenarios demand for incremental and bidirectional transformations, like round-trip engineering between UML class models and Java source code. This paper presents a bidirectional transformation between UML class models and a Java model which is obtained from Java source code. The transformation is written in QVT Relations, a declarative model transformation language provided by the OMG. While the case study demonstrates that it is possible to specify bidirectional transformations between heterogeneous metamodels in a single relational specification, it also reveals some inherent limitations of the language and the corresponding tool support.

Abstract:
Abstract When learning about events through visual experience, one must not only identify which events are visually similar but also retrieve those events’ associates—which may be visually dissimilar—and recognize when different events have similar predictive relations. How are these demands balanced? To address this question, we taught participants the predictive structures among four events, which appeared in four different sequences, each cued by a distinct object. In each, one event (“cause”) was predictably followed by another (“effect”). Sequences in the same relational category had similar predictive structure, while across categories, the effect and cause events were reversed. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging data, we measured “associative coding,” indicated by correlated responses between effect and cause events; “perceptual coding,” indicated by correlated responses to visually similar events; and “relational category coding,” indicated by correlated responses to sequences in the same relational category. All three models characterized responses within the right middle temporal gyrus (MTG), but in different ways: Perceptual and associative coding diverged along the posterior to anterior axis, while relational categories emerged anteriorly in tandem with associative coding. Thus, along the posterior–anterior axis of MTG, the representation of the visual attributes of events is transformed to a representation of both specific and generalizable relational attributes.

Relational data is common in many real-world applications. Linear fuzzy clustering models have been extended for handling relational data based on Fuzzyc-Medoids (FCMdd) framework. In this paper, with the goal being to handle non-Euclidean data, β-spread transformation of relational data matrices used in Non-Euclidean-type Relational Fuzzy (NERF)c-means is applied before FCMdd-type linear cluster extraction. β-spread transformation modifies data elements to avoid negative values for clustering criteria of distances between objects and linear prototypes. In numerical experiments, typical features of the proposed approach are demonstrated not only using artificially generated data but also in a document classification task with a document-keyword co-occurrence relation.

Abstract:
PurposeThis study aims to investigate the link between manufacturer relational embeddedness, manufacturer influence and supplier-customer relational embeddedness and their resulting impact on the network rent.Design/methodology/approachLeveraging the theoretical lens of social exchange theory and the relational view and utilizing the survey data derived from the transitional triadic supply chains, the authors used multiple regression analysis and the partial least squares (PLS) path model. The regression analysis with interaction effects is used to indicate the network rent, while the PLS path model is applied to investigate the link between manufacturer relational embeddedness, manufacturer influence and supplier-customer relational embeddedness and their subsequent impact on the network rent.FindingsThe authors empirically establish that manufacturer relational embeddedness, as a higher-order factor, can comprise both upstream and downstream relational embeddedness. The research also demonstrates that manufacturer relational embeddedness significantly contributes to the manufacturer’s eagerness to form a direct link between the supplier and the customer, and the manufacturers report a significant ability to affect this relationship. Likewise, the study shows that supplier-customer relational embeddedness significantly and positively affects the network rent. In addition, the study implies that supplier-customer relational embeddedness is a mediator between manufacturer influence and the network rent, while manufacturer influence is a suppressor variable, which increases the negative relationship between manufacturer relational embeddedness and supplier-customer relational embeddedness.Research limitations/implicationsThe research makes three key contributions. First, this study, as one of very few, simultaneously embraces context, intervention, mechanism and outcome, while investigating the role of manufacturer (its relational embeddedness and influence) in promoting supplier-customer relational embeddedness, and its resulting effect on the network rent. Further on, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first empirically based study that demonstrates to what extent the manufacturer is capable of fostering supplier-customer relational embeddedness, thus favoring the transposition from the intransitive into the transitive triadic supply chains. Finally, to date, the concept of network rent has been mostly conceptualized as the theoretical construct with no empirical evidence. This research offers guidance for manufacturers in managing the relationships between the supplier and the customer to yield the highest network rent.Originality/valueThis study provides a novel approach to investigating the role of manufacturer and relational embeddedness in yielding the network rent in the transitional triadic supply chains.

Model Driven Development (MDD) approach is often used to model application data and behavior by a Platform Independent Model (PIM) and to generate Platform Specific Models (PSMs) and even the source code by model transformations. However, these transformations usually omit constraints of the binary association multiplicities, especially the source class optionality constraint. This paper is an extended version of the paper ?Transformation of Special Multiplicity Constraints - Comparison of Possible Realizations? presented at MDASD workshop at the FedCSIS 2012 conference. In this paper, we summarize the process of the transformation of a binary association from a PIM into a PSM for relational databases. We suggest several possible realizations of the source class optionality constraint to encourage the automatically transformation and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. We also provide experimental comparison of our suggested realizations to the common realization where this constraint is omitted.

Abstract:
Abstract Food practices (preparation and consumption) have long been viewed as mere domestic routines, and thus, often dismissed for being too “frivolous [a] realm” to receive the same scholarly attention as “great topics” such as “politics, economics, justice and power” (Shapiro 2). Emerging during the 1970s, food studies owe their theoretical model to research in fields of enquiry such as anthropology, sociology, structuralism, or women's studies, which have highlighted the aesthetic value of food and its transformative implications for the intermediation of social relations with others. Accordingly, food occasions various socio-cognitive activities that help an individual achieve a sense of attachment and belonging to a community. Based on the premise that food is instrumental in social relations, as well as in expressing a wide range of values, experiences and emotions, the present analysis gives an insight into the epistemic potential of food to attribute new meanings to Dorothy Wordsworth's Grasmere memoir. Laura Shapiro's non-fictional account, What She Ate: Six Remarkable Women and the Food that Tells their Stories Laura Shapiro's What She Ate consists of the biographies of six notable female figures from different centuries and continents and highlights the importance of food in making them “recognizable” throughout history (7). Shapiro's collection of these women's personal stories and struggles gives insight into the more subtle meanings of food and its capacity to restore the balance of power between genders. In each story, food shapes the character's mind and body through evocations of endurance, resilience, internalized oppression, political statement or trendsetting dietary habits. serves as a useful starting point for the present reading of Wordsworth's Grasmere Journal as food narrative that has family relations, daily experiences and emotions constantly mediated through food. In brief, The Journal represents an intimate record of Dorothy's life, household activities and personal observations of the (natural and social) world surrounding Dove Cottage, which she shared with her famous sibling, Romantic poet, William Wordsworth, between May 1800 and January 1803. In this sense, I propose a constructivist-relational approach to Dorothy's narrative as interconnected with food, with the primary aim to explore how her numerous food references in the Journal contribute to the construction of her personal narrative and identity. As posited here, The Grasmere Journal offers a glimpse of Dorothy and William Wordsworth's dietary, social and writing routines, but also projects an image of Dorothy in a position of power, a woman ahead of her time, with a progressive stance, which goes beyond the societal expectations with regard to women's domestic role during the Romantic period.

Abstract:
Visual Question Answering (VQA) is a method of answering questions in natural language based on the content of images and has been widely concerned by researchers. The existing research on the visual question answering model mainly focuses on the point of view of attention mechanism and multi-modal fusion. It only pays attention to the visual semantic features of the image in the process of image modeling, ignoring the importance of modeling the spatial relationship of visual objects. We are aiming at the existing problems of the existing VQA model research. An effective spatial relationship reasoning network model is proposed, which can combine visual object semantic reasoning and spatial relationship reasoning at the same time to realize fine-grained multi-modal reasoning and fusion. A sparse attention encoder is designed to capture contextual information effectively in the semantic reasoning module. In the spatial relationship reasoning module, the graph neural network attention mechanism is used to model the spatial relationship of visual objects, which can correctly answer complex spatial relationship reasoning questions. Finally, a practical compact self-attention (CSA) mechanism is designed to reduce the redundancy of self-attention in linear transformation and the number of model parameters and effectively improve the model’s overall performance. Quantitative and qualitative experiments are conducted on the benchmark datasets of VQA 2.0 and GQA. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs favorably against the state-of-the-art approaches. Our best single model has an overall accuracy of 71.18% on the VQA 2.0 dataset and 57.59% on the GQA dataset.

Abstract:
Extensible Markup Language (XML) has been used for data-transport and data-transformation while the business sector continues to store critical business data in relational databases. Extracting relational data and formatting it into XML documents, and then converting XML documents back to relational structures, becomes a major daily activity. It is important to have an efficient methodology to handle this conversion between XML documents and relational data. This paper aims to perform data conversion from XML documents into relational databases. It proposes a prototype and algorithms for this conversion process. The pre-process is schema translation using an XML schema definition. The proposed approach is based on the needs of an Order Information System to suggest a methodology to gain the benefits provided by XML technology and relational database management systems. The methodology is a stepwise procedure using XML schema definition and Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) to ensure that the data constraints are not scarified after data conversion. The implementation of the data conversion is performed by decomposing the XML document of a hierarchical tree model into normalized relations interrelated with their artifact primary keys and foreign keys. The transformation process is performed by XSLT. This paper will also demonstrate the entire conversion process through a detailed case study.

Abstract:
The astronomical growth of the World Wide Web has resulted in data explosion that in turn has given rise to a need for data representation methodologies and standards to present required information in a rapid and automated manner. The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is one such standard proposed by W3C to address the above need. The ubiquitous acceptance of RDF on the Internet has resulted in the emergence of a new data storage paradigm, the RDF Graph Model, which, as with any data storage methodology, requires data modeling and visualization tools to aid with data management. This paper presents R2D (RDF-to-Database), a relational wrapper for RDF Data Stores, which aims to transform, at run-time, semi-structured RDF data into an equivalent domain-specific relational schema, thereby bridging the gap between RDF and RDBMS concepts and making the abundance of relational tools currently in the market available to the RDF Stores. The primary R2D functionalities and mapping constructs, the high-level system architecture, and deployment flowchart are presented along with algorithms and performance graphs for every stage of the transformation process and screenshots of a relational visualization tool using R2D as evidence of the feasibility of the proposed work.

Research on digital transformation, conducted so far, has revealed its explanatory power on the performance of companies. However, its effectiveness for relational capital and the resilience of digital entrepreneurship remains little explored. Even studies on the model, involving digital transformation and digital entrepreneurial performance, are few. To shed light on this grey area, interviews, and surveys of players in the digital economy were conducted. The mixed methodology was applied. Data generation was conducted through 15 semi-structured interviews and 160 surveys per survey. The digital transformation project decomposition approach was used. The results showed that the appropriation of new digital technologies, the creation of web media and the use of digital platforms improve the dynamics of relational capital, which increases the resilience of digital entrepreneurship. But, above all, it is the relational capital, made up of business networks, customer relations, database management mechanisms that promote the growth of new companies. The results of this article are useful for researchers who will find a renewed definition of digital transformation with proven new elements that prove relevant. While entrepreneurs and consultants will find new ways to effectively improve and enhance relationship capital and digital entrepreneurship. The study is part of the theory of dynamic capabilities and suggests that there is a differentiated relational contingency at each of the phases of the construction of digital transformation projects. It proposes a relevant action plan for researchers and entrepreneurs.

Abstract:
Performing link prediction using knowledge graph embedding models has become a popular approach for knowledge graph completion. Such models employ a transformation function that maps nodes via edges into a vector space in order to measure the likelihood of the links. While mapping the individual nodes, the structure of subgraphs is also transformed. Most of the embedding models designed in Euclidean geometry usually support a single transformation type -- often translation or rotation, which is suitable for learning on graphs with small differences in neighboring subgraphs. However, multi-relational knowledge graphs often include multiple subgraph structures in a neighborhood (e.g.~combinations of path and loop structures), which current embedding models do not capture well. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel KGE model 5*E in projective geometry, which supports multiple simultaneous transformations -- specifically inversion, reflection, translation, rotation, and homothety. The model has several favorable theoretical properties and subsumes the existing approaches. It outperforms them on most widely used link prediction benchmarks

Abstract:
The fatigue strength, as the essential basis of residual life evaluation, is required to be obtained timely for remanufacturing. Since impeller damage is characterized with very-high-cycle fatigue (VHCF), it is difficult to directly test the strength data. The transformation method of multisource strength data is proposed to predict fatigue strength for impeller based on grey relational theory. The multisource strength data, as factor space, primarily include available existing experimental data and operating data, while the strength data of the remanufacturing impeller are taken as target data. The fatigue strength model of material and component are presented to analyze the influence factors of remanufacturing target strength. And similar material provides a theoretical basis for selecting reference data reasonably. Considering the correlation and difference between available data and target data, the grey relational function is established, and the correction function of the target residual is brought forward to reduce the transformation deviation. The entropy-weight theory is implemented to determine the different impacts of multisource data on target strength. A test case, predicting the unknown impeller fatigue strength with various impellers, is applied to validate the proposed transformation method, and the results show that the predicted strength data are consistent with the experimental data well.

Abstract:
This article aims to contribute to the methodology of the structuring of etymological dictionaries of geographical names and the popularization of knowledge regarding the origin of Silesian toponyms. It is based on experiences gathered during the digitization and publication in an electronic form of the SENGŚ (“Etymological Dictionary of Geographical Names of Silesia”) and addresses the problems encountered. The article discusses the rules applied in the compilation of the SENGŚ and presents two information models used during the digitalization of this dictionary: a relational model and a graph model. The first one corresponds to standard approaches when designing electronic versions of dictionaries. The second allows the creation of solutions conforming to the idea of Linked Open Data, which are deployable as parts of the Semantic Internet. An important aspect also considered was the linking of historical materials listed in the dictionary entries with the corresponding records maintained in digital repositories. This association was realized using the AZON platform (“Atlas of Open Scientific Resources”).

Abstract:
As research is required on nonequidistance unequal-length sequences, so grey accumulation generation relational analysis model based on grey exponential law (AGRA) for nonequidistance unequal-length (NDUL) sequences is put forward in this paper. The original data is accumulated generation firstly and the generation sequences are simulated. Then the generation rate is established as the ratio of the tangent slope and the mean of the simulation function. Furthermore, the dynamic similarity of change trend of the original time sequences is characterized by the proximity of generation rate sequences. Meanwhile, properties of AGRA model for nonequidistance unequal-length sequences are discussed. The new relational analysis model is available for equal interval sequences, nonequidistance sequences, sequences which have relationship before transformation and sequences which have relationship after accumulation; therefore, the AGRA model has expanded the scope of application of grey relational analysis. Lastly, factors which affect the amount of passenger cars in China are sorted using AGRA model for NDUL sequences. This application is presented to illustrate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed model.

Abstract:
The digital transformation of business models is a process which helps traditional business solutions reach new functionalities through innovative technologies. Digital transformation is now crucial to the development of the rail transport sector. The main rail market entities are railway undertakings, infrastructure managers, entities in charge of maintenance, or certification bodies. Digitalization creates new opportunities to shape the business ecosystem in the rail transport sector. The aim of the research is to identify and indicate key social perspectives related to the development of digital business models functioning in railway enterprises. Technological aspects and relational determinants related to the strong mutual cooperation required between railway undertakings and infrastructure managers have particular significance in this context. In this approach, the digitalization of processes is important. The approach also reveals a significant process of business model socialization, which is conceptualized and operationalized through the evolution of social factors based on digital transformation.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to propose a relational view of supply chain management strategy (RSCMS) and its impact on organizational performance and examine the moderating role of technological and market turbulences on these relationships. Design/methodology/approach – The authors propose a conceptual model that links supply chain (SC) strategies to operational and relational outcomes of organizational performance. The authors follow an interdisciplinary approach by integrating insights from domains such as supply chain management (SCM), operations, marketing, management, management information systems, and technology management. Findings – The proposed RSCMS framework presents 15 propositions that examine SCM strategies and their interrelationships, and examine how these strategies result in superior organizational performance. Research limitations/implications – Through the RSCMS framework, the authors conceptualize transformation as a higher order SC strategy resulting from collaborative and integrative SCs, and tie the relational SC mix first to operational and relational outcomes and then to organizational performance. Practical implications – The research provides a better understanding of SC strategies of collaboration, integration, and transformation, along with market and technological turbulences for more efficient and effective SCs. Originality/value – In this research, the authors propose a unified RSCMS framework of SC mix strategies of collaboration, integration, and transformation and their influence on organizational performance; and explore how the RSCMS framework contributes to theory development, provide insights for managers, and explore avenues for further research.
