Abstract:
SiadEnv system was designed to keep track of the energy consumes in residential and industrial buildings. This will analyze and compute the energy consume real need in various scenarios. The main objective of SiadEnv is to reduce the energy losses by taking action and modifying the room settings. Thus, SiadEnv computes the difference between outdoor and indoor temperature and adjusts the heating or cooling management in order to maintain the comfort index and to reduce the energy consume. Moreover, it contains indoor safety modules that prevent or reduce the impact of unwanted events such as flood, fire, motion control (thief entry etc). Due to SiadEnv modular design based on wireless sensors networks, the fire monitoring safety module can be easy reconfigured in order to extend its applications. As further work, the SiadEnv safety module will be redesigned into a new application with important social economic and environmental impact, which will use monitor forest fire and predict its dynamic, in order to provide crucial data for forest salvation.

Abstract:
Communication is one of the most important aspects of human society. Humans have developed several strategies to successfully communicate in challenging acoustic environments. Some of these strategies can be consciously controlled while in a conversation, but others happen unconsciously or as a mixture of both. To investigate communication behavior, real two-person conversations were observed in the Sonova Real Life Lab. Within the lab, participants were allowed to move around freely in an acoustic scene. The head position and orientation of both participants were monitored with a motion capturing system and the voices of both participants were recorded with wireless headset microphones. The voice intensity and spectral content were analyzed from the speech recordings to assess vocal effort and detect Lombard speech. The audio setup of the Real Life Lab was used to playback an acoustic background scene, which could be directly manipulated in level and spectral content. This contribution shows data from pilot experiments in which the participants had to communicate in acoustically controlled background scenes. The data show the characteristics of and interactions between different strategies humans use to successfully communicate in challenging acoustic environments. Learnings for future experiments are discussed.

Abstract:
Introduction: It is important to construct interprofessional education activities that simulate realistic practice, even if students are in different physical locations. This manuscript outlines an effort to provide an activity in which physician assistants and pharmacy students carry out a case-based simulation via telecommunication in their final didactic semester. Programme description: Both professions were tasked with providing optimal care to patients during a busy workday of managing multiple patients simultaneously. Evaluation: Instructional objectives were assessed through a follow-up quiz on the other’s profession, reflection questions, and appropriate documentation for each profession. Student perceptions of communication methods and the other profession were collected via an optional survey. Future plan: Based on overall responsiveness to the activity, this type of simulation is effective for providing interprofessional education while overcoming the common barriers of physical location and space.

Abstract:
Information technology is developing very fast, this has an impact on real changes in every element of life. In addition to hitting the information media industry, developments in information technology have brought updates to public spaces with easy access and an increasingly massive pattern of information distribution. Ease of access does not always present a positive side but there is a negative side, namely shifting communication patterns with the spread of false information or disinformation methods that invite public upheaval. This research uses the case study method, which is one way to investigate contemporary phenomena in the context of real life, where the boundaries between the phenomenon and the context are not clearly visible. Through the Social Network Analyzer (SNA) theoretical approach, this research will find three communication network patterns, namely a centralized network, a decentralized network and a distributed network.

Abstract:
Games have received increased scholarly attention due to the economic value they generate. Yet, some studies still conceptualize games as ‘‘virtual’’ realms that are theoretically distinct from ‘‘real world’’ experiences. Based on an ethnographic investigation of two online, text-based gaming environments, this study analyzes dynamics such as technical acculturation, access to technical knowledge, and opportunities for self-expression by studying social interaction that occurred in non-revenue-generating games. Frameworks that focus on dynamics such as in-game conversation in broader game-centric domains or ecologies should be considered to accommodate a wider variety of gaming forms and related interdisciplinary research questions. Different games have different consequences, and it is important to understand the varying consequential contexts that games afford. Whether or not the consequences may be measured economically, it is nevertheless important to consider how social interactions may complicate forms of self-expression in ways that impact the human spirit.

Abstract:
The emergence and spread of Internet communication has led to changes in social relationships, abuse of the Internet and maladaptive behavior. Among the authors who have studied the impact of these changes there is no consensus, and the results of their research are often contradictory. Some authors conclude that Internet communication strengthens networks of its users, while others believe that such communication leads to reduced participation in real social life. In a number of people, excessive use of the Internet adversely affects the mental health and social life and can lead to obsession at the expense of other aspects of life and creating addiction. The greatest risk of negative impacts of online communication is among children and young people. This paper is meant to indicate, the good sides as well as the negative consequences of excessive and non-functional Internet use

Abstract An ecosystem approach to management (EAM) aims to secure a healthy ecosystem along with sustainable use of its goods and services. Although the main principles of EAM are agreed upon and desirable, wider implementation of EAM is still a challenge. The difficulties stem from unclear definition and communication of the EAM, lack of routines or protocols to develop ecosystem-based advice, inappropriate institutional structures, and communication issues between scientists, advisers, and managers. Integrated ecosystem assessment (IEA) is an instrument that has proven to help in the implementation of EAM. For successful implementation of EAM and IEA in the European regional seas context, an international forum is required that develops tailor-made EAM tools specific to the different regional ecosystems to overcome fragmented national strategies. We describe a multinational peer network of working groups developed within the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) under the auspice of Science Steering Group on Regional Sea Programmes. Available is a wealth of data, expertise, scientific methods, and models for each regional sea. This network can be instrumental in advancing IEA for the implementation of EAM in the North Atlantic seas.

Abstract:
Connectivity between ground vehicles can be utilized and expanded to include aerial vehicles for coordinated missions. Using Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication technologies, a communication link can be established between Connected and Autonomous vehicles (CAVs) and Unmanned Aerial vehicles (UAVs). Hardware implementation and testing of a ground-to-air communication link are crucial for real-life applications. In this paper, the V2X communication and coordinated mission of a CAV & UAV are presented. Four methods were utilized to establish communication between the hardware and software components, namely Dedicated Short Range communication (DSRC), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), 4G internet-based WebSocket and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). These communication links were used together for a real-life use case scenario called Quick Clear demonstration. In this scenario, the first aim was to send the accident location information from the CAV to the UAV through DSRC communication. On the UAV side, the wired connection between the DSRC modem and Raspberry Pi companion computer was established through UDP to get the accident location from CAV to the companion computer. Raspberry Pi first connected to a traffic contingency management system (CMP) through TCP to send CAV and UAV location, as well as the accident location, information to the CMP. Raspberry Pi also utilized WebSocket communication to connect to a web server to send photos that were taken by the camera that was mounted on the UAV. The Quick Clear demonstration scenario was tested for both a stationary test and dynamic flight cases. The latency results show satisfactory performance in the data transfer speed between test components with UDP having the least latency. The package drop percentage analysis shows that the DSRC communication showed the best performance among the four methods studied here. All in all, the outcome of this experimentation study shows that this communication structure can be utilized for real-life scenarios for successful implementation.

Abstract:
Social scientists have by and large allenated the rest of society from science, and In this process have re moved themselves from the dally mundane matters and demands of social life, through the theoretical objectification of society. People con stituting society, on the other hand, are subjectively engaged in everyday social life. In its application of objec tive theory, science falls to share Emeaning in terms of subjective ex meaning with human beings who find perience. This article pursues the no tion that perception plays a crucial part in communication; that percep tion is shaped by experience; and that experience is historically and situationally specific. Objective the ory, being a deliberate attempt to transcend specific instances of sub. jective experiences both in time and place, is incompatible with the con tingency inherent in subjective ex perience. In trying to say too much by encompassing too much of mankind, objective theory has very little to say to people in real situations.

Abstract:
Computer-mediated communication has important implications for future classroom learning which is no longer spatially bound or centred around text books. It has the ability to incorporate real-life learning whereby students can make important contributions towards solving global problems without having to leave the campus. This study looked at the impact of virtual communication processes and online tools on student and partner engagement in an on-campus undergraduate unit which enables Australian students to create communication campaigns for a non-government organization in India. The study found that the communication exchanges provided students with opportunities for intercultural dialogue, both in real and virtual spaces, and how to use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and media within a social justice framework within a transnational working environment. Internet technologies have become part of the daily communication pattern of a new generation of students, who see it as their natural environment in which to learn, play and work. It is thus important to expand students’ use of the global digital network from superficial social interactions towards activities which enable them to become active and informed global citizens.

Abstract:
In the case of rapid outbreaks of infectious diseases in remote locations, the lack of real-time information from the field and rapid spread of misinformation can be a major issue. To improve situational awareness and decision-making at all levels of operational deployment, there is an urgent need for accurate, reliable, and timely results from patients from the affected area. This requires a robust and fast channel of communication connecting first responders on-site, crisis managers, decision-makers, and the institutions involved in the survey of the crisis at national, regional, and international levels. This has been the rationale sustaining the development of advanced communication tools in the Biological Light Fieldable Laboratory for Emergencies (B-LiFE). The benefit of terrestrial (TETRA, LTE, 5G, and Wi-Fi-Fi) and SatCom communications is illustrated through a series of missions and exercises conducted in the previous five years. These tools were used by B-LiFE operators to provide accurate, comprehensive, timely, and relevant information and services in real time. The focus of this article is to discuss the development and benefits of the integration of multi-mission, multi-user nomadic, rapidly deployable telecommunication nodes for emergency uses (TEN) in the capacity of B-LiFE. Providing reliable communication channels through TEN enables the development and use of an ICT toolbox called MIML_LIMS (multi-institution, multi-mission, multi-laboratory LIMS), a tool which is mandatory for efficient and secure data management and data sharing by a mobile laboratory.

Abstract:
This study aimed to demonstrate some parts of human resources management, more specifically, to show the application of knowledge in human management and real-life situations. The research explores some aspects of human resources analysis, including enterprise management, fundamental analysis, planning, and monitoring. This analysis demonstrates the integration of knowledge in real-life situations after successfully learning the Human Resources Management (HRM) program. In this case, it tends to critically demonstrate how an individual can apply knowledge from learning HRM to perform their daily tasks. It discusses the previous development of HRM processes and how it has evolved in modern business management. Also, the analysis elaborates on the basic understanding of HR resources for non-HR managers and the application of knowledge in real-life situations, research projects, entrepreneurial businesses, and large corporations. Effective managers must demonstrate efficient skills since they play fundamental roles in business, such as recruitment, employee training, and performance appraisals. Therefore, they must incorporate excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and managerial skills. Furthermore, this analysis highlights HR managers' practices and processes, including employment policies and technology, to enhance employee commitment and work efficiency.

Abstract:
We compared transcranial Doppler (TCD) with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) for the detection of right to left communication (RLC) in the heart. All patients explored from 2013 to 2016 in a vascular medicine unit to detect RLC by TCD were included. Right to left communication was detected by TCD monitoring for microembolic signals after intravenous injection of agitated 5% glucose and air. One hundred one patients were explored for RLC by TCD, 64 by TEE (not possible in 10, bubble injection in 51), and 93 by TTE because of unexplained stroke or arterial thrombosis (51 males, 50 females, age 51.0 ± 15.8 years) (bubble injection in 35). Fifty-three patients were positive after TCD (TEE: 4 negative, TTE: 7 negative). Of the negative patients after TCD, none was positive for TEE and 1 was positive for TTE with no evidence of patent foramen ovale. Transcranial Doppler was sensitive to detect RLC, even in patients with negative TTE or TTE. A negative TEE did not exclude RLC demonstrated by TCD. Transcranial Doppler might be proposed as first line to detect RLC.
