Abstract:
The present study attempts to identify factors that influence the readiness of Hungarian agricultural producers’ to effectively and efficiently cooperate with each other. Analyses based on the binomial logistic regression method have revealed a clear correlation between activities conducive to cooperation, the demographics of producers, farming conditions and the level of trust. Findings highlight that producers who live in smaller rural settlements as well as those who are younger and have a higher level of educational attainment show a higher level of activity associated with cooperation that can be statistically justified whereas farms managed by women are less inclined to cooperate. Calculations indicate that as the size of holdings increases, their readiness for cooperation increases too, while in terms of the type of farming, crop farmers are more open to cooperate effectively than livestock farmers. Finally, this model has revealed a significant positive correlation between producers’ readiness to cooperate and their level of trust.

Abstract:
Community efforts at the primary prevention of family violence (FV) involve changing values, structures and norms that support gender inequality. This study examines the attitudes of a group of highly engaged community leaders and service providers involved in FV primary prevention in Geraldton, a small city in regional Western Australia. The outcomes of focus group discussions were mapped against a readiness for change model. Despite considerable involvement in discussions of FV prevention over time, the readiness level of these engaged community members for taking leadership roles in the prevention strategy were between pre-planning and preparation stages, although some individuals’ understanding of the drivers of FV and readiness for implementing change was higher. Key areas for further education are the role of gender inequality as the primary driver of FV, particularly rigid gender roles and men’s control of decision making, and the role of alcohol and drugs as reinforcers but not primary drivers of FV.

Abstract:
COVID-19 caused a pandemic around the world, including in Indonesia. This greatly affected the informal business sector, such as online taxibike drivers. The success of this program to control the spread of COVID-19 is greatly influenced by knowledge, attitudes, and actions in the community. The purpose of this study was to identify behavioral factors during the pandemic. An online survey was conducted with 100 online taxibike drivers using a structured questionnaire and Google Forms. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank test with CI of 95%. Although most online taxibike drivers have sufficient knowledge about COVID-19, some drivers had important misconceptions about COVID-19, namely that COVID-19 is not contagious, weak immune resistance may cause them to contract COVID-19, and it is highly unlikely that they will contract COVID-19 when leaving the house without wearing a mask, and believing that handwashing with soap and using hand sanitizer will not prevent COVID-19. To address these misconceptions, interventions should be targeted to online taxibike drivers to increase their health education and literacy regarding the urgency of preventing COVID-19. It is also important to consider incorporating both interpersonal approaches and conventional and digital-based groups when encouraging changes in their attitudes and practices towards COVID-19.

Abstract:
The analysis of trends in the development of the automotive industry and well-known methods of automating vehicle control served the basis for us to propose an approach to organizing the transfer of vehicle control from an automated driving system to a person. The approach involves monitoring the vehicle performance and the systems that provide automated driving, the state of the environment and the driver's psychophysiological state, as well as road conditions on the upcoming path, predicting the place and time of transition of control to the driver, determining and regulating his/her readiness to take control if necessary. This approach is peculiar for in time of automated driving, the minimum level of the driver's readiness to operate the vehicle is constantly maintained, which is brought to optimal within a certain time before the scheduled transition to manual control. This two-level monitoring of the condition of drivers of highly automated vehicles will improve road safety both in cases of predicted and unexpected need for an emergency transition from automated to manual driving. The aim of the work is to develop a methodology for improving road safety with highly automated vehicles involved.

Abstract:
PurposeIn the age of Industry 4.0, digital advancement is reshaping manufacturing models towards product–service systems (PSS). The drivers, readiness and challenges to move to a PSS model are not well understood, and the exploitation of the digital era presents the gap of this research.Design/methodology/approachThe research was conducted using semi-structured interviews in six manufacturers. Two forum debates were also conducted to supplement and validate the findings.FindingsSocial and economic motivations rather than environmental considerations were driving the change to PSS. Digital technologies could be an important driver if manufacturers reached a certain PSS maturity level. A high level of technical readiness was offset by a low level of social investments and the strategic development of human resources. Value co-creation was a main challenge though manufacturers had the advantage of digital connectivity, which indicated new human requirements; the greater the enabling power of digital technologies, the greater the need for advanced human skills.Practical implicationsHuman resource management has underpinned lean models; yet, the role of employees within PSS is underdeveloped despite the impact of staff in exploiting digitalisation and value co-creation. A “learning organisation” and socio-technical fit are required for the “diffusion of innovation” of PSS.Originality/valueThis research attempted to explore drivers, readiness and challenges for PSS from a socio-technical systems (STS) perspective. Three levels of PSS maturity with STS features were derived from the research, providing guidance for manufacturers.

Abstract:
This study evaluates factors influencing the adoption of telecommuting among the selected organisations in Nigeria. A questionnaire research tool was used basically to capture the level of awareness, interest, readiness, and perception of Nigerian organisations towards telecommuting. A total of 180 questionnaires was administered to 180 Nigerian firms in Lagos, 120 questionnaires were counted valid for analysis. This study observed high level of awareness among Nigerian organisations but paradoxically, this high level of awareness does not engender the adoption of telecommuting by those organisations. Findings revealed that the fright of difficulty in assessing employees’ performance, inadequacy of ICT infrastructures and the fear of corporate data theft are the key factors inhibiting the adoption of telecommuting by organisations. This study concluded there is a need for organisations to be aware of the benefits of telecommuting and how telecommuting policy can be devised to strategically fit into the work culture for productivity. Abstract:
Change initiatives in organizations often fail because people are neither committed to nor convinced they can implement the change successfully. The change challenge is a practical problem for most leaders. The vast literature on change management offers insights into obstacles to change and how to overcome them, and the emerging literature on readiness for change offers a plethora of instruments for how to assess it, though primarily in health care settings. However, there is limited advice about how to design workshops around new initiatives in organizations to increase readiness for change. To address this problem, we developed a model of the drivers of change readiness, based on survey data from 374 participants in 69 independently facilitated workshops to test hypotheses. The findings show which constructs have the most predictive power. These results have important implications for how to design and facilitate workshops that increase participants’ readiness for change. The study makes several contributions to the theory and practice of creating shared readiness for change.

Abstract:
Purpose The government has included social media technology applications in the public sector as part of the fifth wave of information and communications technology adoption. Academic interest in social media in the government sector has been increasing. But there has been little empirical research on the assimilation of social media in the local government. To fill this gap, based on technology–organization–environment (TOE) framework, this study aims to investigate the key technological, organizational and environmental factors that affect the assimilation of social media in local government agencies. Design/methodology/approach To empirically test the model, a survey study was conducted. Data were collected from 150 government employees in the government department of X municipal government in China. The collected data were analysed quantitatively to answer five hypotheses using structural equation model. Findings The findings suggest that technology competence, top management support, perceived benefits and citizen readiness significantly influence assimilation of social media in local government agencies. Top management support is the strongest predictor of social media assimilation in a government agency. Originality/value This study is one of the first attempts that adopted the TOE framework to understand assimilation of social media in the local government. In addition, the effect of the four factors that include one technological factor, two organizational factors and one environmental factor, namely, technology competence, top management support, perceived benefits and citizen readiness, on intention to assimilate social media was investigated.

Abstract:
Although is highly inadvisable for drivers to use their smartphone while driving, certain mobile applications provide driving assistance. These apps may come in the form of intelligent surrounding awareness apps that can alert the driver of anything amiss, for example by way of detecting potential hazards and providing collision warnings. Such apps are particularly useful for new and unexperienced drivers, as applicable to most women in Saudi Arabia where the ban on driving has just been lifted. The views and perceptions on the use of this kind of application provides valuable insight into its potential value and efficiency. Regrettably, there is a lack of studies on the user perception of mobile driving-aided applications in general and that of Saudi Arabian women drivers in particular. As a result, this study undertakes an exploratory survey to investigate the readiness of Saudi Arabian women to use mobile driving-aided applications and their perceptions. 329 respondents participated in the survey. The result indicates that a considerable number of respondents welcome the use of mobile driving-aided applications.

Abstract:
Introduction Occupational therapists are amongst the certified driving rehabilitation specialists providing driving rehabilitation and training. This study aimed at gathering information on driving readiness in adolescents and young adults with physical and/or cognitive impairments related to cerebral palsy and spina bifida to guide the development of a driving readiness program for this clientele. Method A review of the scientific literature was performed. Seventy-four driving rehabilitation specialists across North America were surveyed, of whom eight were subsequently interviewed. Results Learner drivers with cerebral palsy and spina bifida lack the basic skills (such as information processing, visual memory, attention span) for and familiarity with community mobility and self-efficacy, often resulting in a lengthy and difficult learning process for automobile driving. The literature findings were corroborated by a survey and interview of specialized driving rehabilitation therapists. There is a therapist-driven desire to improve pre-requisite skills for driving through a driving readiness program tailored to this population’s specific needs. An outline of such a program was developed based on the person–environment–occupation model. Conclusion A driving readiness program may act as an important clinical tool intended to optimize pre-driving skills in adolescents with cerebral palsy or spina bifida in order to facilitate the driving training process and ensure greater community independence in this population.

Abstract:
Research background: Industry 4.0 is a response to rapid technical progress, caused by the dominant role of information technology, which covers and penetrates virtually into all the aspects of people's economic and social activities. At present, the terms “Digital Supply Chain”, “Supply Chain 4.0”, “Digital logistics”, and “Smart logistics” are widely used in business, and in particular, in the theory and practice of supply chain management (SCM). This demonstrates the relevance of the implementation of Industry 4.0 innovations into the practical activities of manufacturing, trading, and logistics companies, interconnected by networking in the process of delivering products or services to final consumers. In turn, this causes fundamental changes in the structure of supply chains, their business processes and behaviours, making existing approaches to management obsolete. Purpose of the article: The article aims at identifying supply chain development drivers under the conditions of ‘Industry 4.0’; determining the effect of DT in the cross-section of strategic and operational changes of supply chain; clarifying the readiness and capacity for DT implementation in the enterprises activity as exemplified by the enterprises operating in Ukraine in various fields of activity. Methods: Stratified proportional sampling was applied as the research method. Ukrainian enterprises of different size, involved in different supply chains, were considered as an object of research. The attitude of the Ukrainian enterprises to the DT implementation is presented, and the results are compared to the relevant research data in other countries. Findings & Value: This study will be valuable to both scientists and practitioners. Scientists will be able to understand the conceptual transformation of SC under the influence of DT. Practitioners will become aware of the following issues: current SCM trends and requirements; DT effects on the strategic and operational levels of the classical model of management; the level of readiness and ability of the Ukrainian enterprises to implement DT in their activities as compared to the enterprises in other countries.

Abstract:
The exponential speed of technological advancements and the ever-changing needs of customers have changed the way enterprises engage with their customers. However, despite the increasing scholarly interest in the enterprise-initiated perspective of customer engagement (CE) in recent years, it remains unclear what drives enterprises to initiate customer engagement and how enterprise-initiated customer engagement enhances enterprise performance. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a conceptual model that consists of drivers and outcomes of enterprise-initiated customer engagement. After developing a conceptual model based on previous conceptual approaches to customer engagement, a quantitative survey was undertaken to gather the data from business-to-customer micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The data were analyzed using the partial least square path modelling. The findings showed that external pressure and organizational readiness influence enterprise-initiated customer engagement. Enterprise-initiated customer engagement was also found to influence marketing performance. The empirical findings provide insights for managers that explain what drivers may influence enterprise-initiated customer engagement and what benefits they can expect. Overall, this research extends the understanding of the CE domain and provides additional insights for the drivers and outcomes of enterprise-initiated CE.

Abstract:
Concerns have emerged over the readiness of police agencies to adapt to change. To better understand why this might be the case, we used Lewin’s theory of change and an emic methodology to investigate the internal and external forces for and against change within this sector. Using a qualitative methodology we analysed the data from 103 interviews with key police and community stakeholders to identify the drivers and barriers to planned change. Examination of the resulting force field diagram revealed that: (1) community stakeholders feel the forces for change exceed the barriers, while police stakeholders perceive the reverse, (2) strong drivers of change are largely external to the police service, (3) key barriers to change were internal to the police service, and (4) police culture is a strong barrier to change. We end by offering suggestions on how this information can be used to manage change in this sector better.

Abstract:
Purpose Aircraft availability (AA) is a key metric for assessing operational readiness. The declining trend in AA is a documented concern for senior Air Force leaders. This paper aims to investigate the components of non-available time and subsequently focuses on the largest and fastest growing category: not mission capable maintenance unscheduled (NMCMU). Then, utilization of aircraft platforms is examined to determine the readiness benefits of increasing available hours. Design/methodology/approach Stepwise regression is conducted on a data set of 30 aircraft platforms, consisting of 542 observations from 1998 to 2017, to reveal drivers of NMCMU. Next, utilization of aircraft platforms is examined through regression and correlation analysis of aircraft platforms and sorties or hours flown. Findings Regression analysis reveals drivers of NMCMU include platform type, average age of aircraft, fleet size, breaks and cannibalization. These factors explain 80.6 per cent of the variance in the data set when predicting NMCMU. Additionally, the utilization results show that when more hours are made available, 5 per cent of each new hour is used for flying. Further analysis at the individual platform level finds a strong or moderate correlation between available hours and sorties flown for 93 per cent of the platforms. Originality/value Implications from the regression analysis demonstrate there are remedies to increase AA, but many of these remedies may be costly. The utilization analysis expresses the potential readiness benefits of increasing available hours.

Abstract:
The small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which are the backbone of any economy are often on the disadvantaged side of the digital divide in the construction industry. With the advent of building information modelling (BIM), the SMEs are facing challenges and are slow with its uptake. Hitherto, extant research studies on BIM have focused primarily on the large firms and there is an observed trend of underrepresentation of the SMEs in BIM studies. Thus, this paper aims to investigate the major drivers of sustainable adoption of Building Information Modelling in SMEs and the dynamics of these drivers in developing countries using interpretive structural modelling approach and Matrice d’Impacts croises-multipication applique a classement (MICMAC) analysis. The findings reveal that organizational readiness is of utmost importance for the proliferation of BIM in SMEs. Also, the independent drivers which are the most important drivers consist of BIM characteristics, internal and external environment drivers and thus portray the BIM adoption as a complex socio-technical system. This study categorizes the drivers for easy intervention of SMEs’ managers and policymakers. It contributes to the nascent studies of BIM adoption in SMEs of developing countries.

While there has been much debate on Singapore’s migration policies, a ‘black box’ continues to surround policymaking decisions. This article examines the dynamics of migration policy reforms in Singapore, using the case study of the mandatory weekly day off policy for migrant domestic workers. Designing our analysis around the three ‘Is’ – ideas, interests and institutions – we argue that the inclusion and formalisation of migrant rights in the policy sphere entails the framing of migrant rights in a manner that appeals to Singapore’s institutional logics and cultural repertoire; prioritising the needs and interests of citizens in the policy calculus; and institutional readiness and conviction to the cause.

Abstract:
Community members have identified second-hand smoke exposure among young women and children within First Nations communities as a concern. As part of a community-based research project, we analyzed experiences related to establishing smoke-free public spaces and the challenges related to smoking and bingo. The purpose of this study was to a) describe and compare community smoking at bingo in First Nations communities, and b) draw implications for assessing and supporting community readiness for comprehensive tobacco control policies (TCPs). Data were collected using individual interviews, group discussions, and observations in the community. The establishment of smoke-free public spaces in communities evolved out of concern by people traditionally responsible for the well-being of the community. Despite close proximity and similar socioeconomic contexts, readiness to extend these successes to bingos held in community halls was influenced by three main factors: a) economic drivers, b) the smoking majority, and c) grassroots support. Although models for assessing community readiness provide a useful starting point for understanding local TCP development and implementation in First Nations communities, other factors also need to be considered. Using a comprehensive approach to assessing community readiness has the potential to increase success in extending TCPs and practices in First Nations communities in ways that are culturally relevant, address local conditions, and build on existing efforts.

Abstract:
Many recent studies with the topic of innovative technologies have been executed in the viewpoint of adoption/readiness of one specific cutting-edge technology in the hospitality industry. Unlike with the existing studies, the present research comprehensively dealt with consumers’ perceived performance of a smart hotel and explored its influence on the formation of attitude and word-of-mouth intention. Furthermore, this study encompassed drivers of technology readiness (optimism and innovativeness) as critical moderators. Our analysis results confirmed that the perceived performance of a smart hotel is essential in generating individuals’ favorable attitudes and positive word-of-mouth intentions. The moderating roles of optimism and innovativeness were also found in the link between perceived performance and attitude. Theoretical value and managerial contributions were discussed through unpinning the structural relationships among study variables in the smart hotel context.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to propose a research model exploring the link between knowledge management processes and customer relationship management (CRM) performance. It seeks to answer two research questions: What are the effective drivers of knowledge management processes in the context of a CRM initiative? Do these processes make a real impact on CRM performance? Design/methodology/approach – The paper is based on data obtained from a sample of 93 service companies located in Spain. The authors conducted a structural equation modeling analysis using PLS to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings – It was observed that both technological and organizational readiness were effective drivers of knowledge management. However, it was contrasted also that the usage of social media tools was not significantly related to knowledge management. Results show a real impact of knowledge management processes on CRM performance, so companies can understand how to implement successfully those initiatives. Research limitations/implications – The main limitations of the study are that it was based on cross-sectional data and that variables were measured based on the perceptions of general managers. Practical implications – Service companies need to invest in technological infrastructures, and create an appropriate organizational climate (top management support, employees commitment) in order to promote effective knowledge management processes, that will enable CRM success, paving the way for the development of marketing innovations. Originality/value – This is the first empirical work that examines in confirmatory way what are the main drivers of knowledge management processes, including in the analysis the impact of both organizational and technological readiness, and considering also the usage of social media tools, in the context of a CRM initiative.

High failure rates continue to be reported for organizational change projects in general and mergers and acquisitions in particular, with the failures most often attributed to cultural incompatibilities or other people-related issues. The article identifies factors believed to be contributing to this situation, which mean that organisations are often inadequately prepared for the challenges of merger and integration. The Art and Science of TransformationTM framework developed by Schroeder & Schroeder, Inc. and two related organizational change readiness assessment tools are discussed as a suggested approach for improvement of the prospects for a successful merger. These enable organizations considering a merger to determine their current state of change readiness in terms of art and science skills as well as proven organizational change shaping levers, and identify the cultural and people-related factors that can facilitate or hinder transformation. In this way, potential risks can be identified and eliminated and key drivers of successful transformation can be strengthened. Keywords: Mergers, Organizational Transformation, Art and Science

Abstract:
Industrial development has made major breakthroughs in the last decade in the wake of increased production, government policies and public demand. At the same time, problems related to environmental sustainability have become a major concern for producers. The unsatisfactory dimension of environmental protection has always been highlighted, because the environmental management system (EMS) is ignored and not consistently implemented in certain Tunisian companies. This increasing interest in environmental consciousness is pushing manufacturers to aspire to adopt successful environmental management strategies. Organizations are in fact increasingly responsible for monitoring and enhancing their environmental efficiency. The present work is intended to resolve these issues by establishing the essential factors and modelling their interrelationships in the Tunisian context. By reviewing literature and expert opinions, 14 critical factors have been identified which leads to responsive in the implementation of EMS- based ISO 14001. For better understanding, the MICMAC research was used to identify the critical variables according to their driving and dependence power. The present study highlights “Top management commitment and support” and “Government policies and legislation” as the most significant factors for ISO 14001 implementation. This research will facilitate organizations' readiness for implementation of ISO 14001 by providing a detailed understanding of mutual relationships among EMS factors based on ISO 14001.

Abstract:
The use of mobile phones has been shown to increase drivers' reaction times (RTs), but whether this results from interference with attention, stimulus identification, or response production remains unclear. We recorded RTs and event-related brain potentials (ERPs) reflecting speed of stimulus processing, attentional allocation, and preparedness to respond during a visual reaction task performed with or without the concomitant use of a mobile phone, in either “hands-free” or “phone-in-hand” operating modes. As expected, maintaining a phone conversation increased RTs to visual targets, this effect being associated with complex ERP effects. Phone conversations did not appear to delay target detection times, as assessed by N2-P3 latencies, but did significantly decrease stimulus-induced alerting and attentional allocation (P3 amplitude) and interfered with motor preparation processes (readiness potential). P3 amplitude drop was identical whatever the mode of phone use, while decrease of readiness potential was progressive from the “hands-free” to the “phone-in-hand” condition. These results suggest that two mechanisms contributed to degrade performance in this experiment: first, a general decrease of attention to sensory inputs, characteristic of “dual-task” situations, probably acting through a delay in sensory-motor transfer times. This effect was independent of whether the phone was handled or “hands-free.” Conversely, the second factor was specifically sensitive to manipulation of the phone and caused a weakening of the readiness to respond with a motor act.

Abstract:
Although investment in healthcare technology is rapidly increasing, the readiness to use emerging technologies among healthcare professionals is still low. The present study relies on an integrated model derived from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and the diffusion of innovation model to assess the factors that predicted healthcare professionals’ intentions to use healthcare information systems. Using a cross-sectional correlational design, 105 healthcare professionals (M age = 41.06, standard deviation = 9.18; 49% consultants and General Practitioners (GPs); 56.2% females) from hospitals in England completed online structured questionnaires. One-way analysis of variance showed that there were no differences in healthcare information systems usage intentions, unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and diffusion of innovation variables between consultants/GPs and non-medical staff (i.e. nurses and administration staff). Linear regression analysis demonstrated that the integrative model predicted 78.1 per cent (adjusted R2) in intentions to use healthcare information systems, and variables from both unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and the diffusion of innovation had significant effects. Moderated regression analysis further revealed that the interaction between voluntariness and effort expectancy, and voluntariness and social influence significantly predicted usage intentions on top of the main effects of the individual predictors. This poses direct implications for both practice and theory in this field. Future research should consider the predictive validity of integrative theoretical models of technology acceptance and utilization in healthcare settings.

Abstract:
Businesses have been exposed to various challenges during the global pandemic, and their response to this disruption has impacted their resilience as well as their chances to overcome this crisis. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are changing their business models in order to adapt to this changing environment. Service-based industries have been hit particularly hard. This research investigates how SMEs operating in service industries have been coping with the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to gain insights into which transformation drivers they have focused on and which technologies they have selected as a means to respond to the disruption. These insights regarding SMEs are then explored according to their influence on the redefinition of sustainable business models in SMEs. The review data was analyzed via a customized research framework that contains three dimensions and 30 subconcepts. The results show the distribution of drivers and technologies across service sectors. They are organized into a Business Model Canvas and could be considered useful for academia and practitioners. The highly unpredictable environment allows for only a few feasible strategic approaches regarding an SME’s decision on to follow incumbents, to become a challenger, or to reinvent themselves based on their own transformation drivers and readiness to apply digital technologies.

Abstract:
Organizational change is one thing that public organizations cannot avoid. A dynamic organizational environment and high public demands for good quality services make public organizations have to be able to adjust to change. But unfortunately the changes that occurred are not always well received, and in fact there is a resistance. Through a post positivist approach, this qualitative research seeks to analyze how public sector organizations are able to overcome the resistance of existing changes so that changes can be carried out properly and successfully achieve the desired goals. Analysis is done through literature review on several books, publications, reports or relevant news. The results of the analysis indicate that the resistance of public organizations can be avoided by the readiness of the organization to deal with changes and supported by all members of the organization, especially leaders as drivers who will bring the organization from the status quo towards the desired change. In the level of practice these efforts can be carried out by building the mental readiness of the apparatus to always be ready to face changes and be balanced with the government's ability to make responsive change policies.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to extend the technology readiness and acceptance model (TRAM) to consider an individual’s health consciousness (HC), thereby improving the capability of the model to predict an individual’s attitude toward and intention to download and use dietary and fitness apps. Design/methodology/approach A total of 994 participants completed a self-reported online questionnaire. Structural equation modeling and χ2 difference testing were conducted to compare the predictive capability of the proposed health consciousness TRAM (HC-TRAM) and the TRAM. The comparison of the proposed HC-TRAM in terms of potential and actual users of dietary and fitness apps was also discussed. Findings The results obtained from the HC-TRAM and the TRAM indicate that in addition to technology readiness, HC exerts a positive effect on the perceived ease of use and usefulness of dietary and fitness apps. χ2 difference test results indicated that the predictive capability of the proposed HC-TRAM is higher than that of the TRAM. Practical implications The drivers and inhibitors of a person’s readiness to embrace modern information technology play roles when predicting his or her intention to download and use dietary and fitness apps. HC should be promoted by encouraging people to eat right and regularly perform appropriate exercise to prevent obesity and overweight, thereby maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Originality/value This study incorporated individual cognitive factors and HC into the TRAM to fill the literature gap and deepen and broaden existing theoretical frameworks of the TRAM in the public health sector.

Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a motivation for full usage of autonomous driving. Many have predicted that autonomous technology would significantly disrupt the transportation industry. This research examines how autonomous driving might impact and disrupt the ridesharing industry and their drivers. The hypothesis is that autonomous vehicles (AV) will negatively impact the ridesharing industry. To examine the full effects of this disruption, we researched current literature on driverless technology cars and the ridesharing industry. Factors examined include: current economics of drivers and vehicles, public perception and acceptance, technological readiness, collaborations, regulations, and liability. Key findings from a host of resources were tabulated to build a case for the proposed hypothesis. The results provide a more comprehensive timeline estimate, predicted $0.75 cost estimate per mile by 2040, and documented the collaboration figure among the players that shows the significant investments across different industries. This research shows that the ridesharing industry’s current business model is due for a significant disruption by autonomous driving capabilities. Drivers in the ridesharing industry might likely suffer the most, however not for at least another decade or so. There are many independent factors, which must be further scrutinized to develop a more comprehensive understanding as to the velocity of this disruption. Findings from this study would be applicable while evaluating the future of autonomous vehicles.

Abstract:
Nowadays it is generally accepted that information and communication technologies (ICT) are important drivers and ?enabling? technologies that have a broad impact on many sectors of the economy and social life. Therefore, measuring the level of ICT development, their economic and social impact, and the country?s readiness to use them are of great importance. In this paper we present the conceptual framework of the Networked Readiness Index (NRI) proposed by the World Economic Forum, and analyse the relative position of Serbia and its ?distance? from the EU member states in the domain of NRI indicator variables. For this purpose we have applied the Kohonen Self-Organizing Map (the SOM algorithm), which provides the visual image, as a virtual map, of observed countries and their groupings. The resulting SOM map indicates that in the complex NRI space, Serbia is located in a group of EU states that includes Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Slovak Republic. In comparison to other countries, this group shows the poorest performance in the NRI landscape. In addition, our empirical analysis points to the areas in which policy intervention can boost the impact of ICT on Serbian economic development and growth.
