Abstract:
Abstract The paper presents the results of research work on the development of a rapidprototyping test stand for testing: servo control algorithms, trajectory generation, algorithms for increasing overall quality of the feed-drive modules within two axis (X-Y) table of the milling machine. Open architecture interface of the prepared control system lets the potential user test functionality of integration of diagnostic tools within the motion controller - directly, without taking into account communication with top-level CNC system.

Abstract:
The Maker Mobile program is a new modelfor outreach at the faculty of engineering atthe university of Ottawa that allows foryearlong delivery of high quality technologyworkshops to the community atlarge. Through the transportation of rapidprototyping technologies in a 12-foot orangecube truck, the Maker Mobile deliveredmore than 719 workshops and reachedmore than 14000 youth in the past year. Inparticular this program is helping teachersincorporate engineering into theirclassrooms through hands on designactivities. This fosters interest forengineering while helping recruitmentefforts. The Maker Mobile is also helpingthe faculty develop relationships with highschools, teachers and school boards for thedevelopment of new spin off outreachinitiatives. The Maker mobile builds on asolid foundation for outreach at the facultyof engineering. Three important factorshave contributed to the development of astrong foundation for our outreach program. These factors include developing processesthat ensure sustainability and scalability, astrong association to the institution, whichcreates demand for programs and aninternal support structure that ensuresprograms have the necessary resources toscale.

Abstract:
The aim of these theses was the creation of a single-stage gearbox by additive technology FDM / FFF. By chosen values was made dimension calculation for gears. The 3D model of the gearbox was designed in 3D software Autodesk Inventor. Single parts were produced on an FDM 3D printer by Prusa Research. Manufacturing programs for parts were prepared in PrusaSlicer. These programs were used for producing individuals parts on 3D Printer. Transparent material and printing parameters for the top of the gearbox were chosen by visual test and test of light intensity. The total cost of model production is calculated in the work. The result of these is a completely working model of a single-stage gearbox with a transparent top of the gearbox.

The development of embedded software is getting more complicated and costly due to the proliferation of various hardware platforms and a shorter time-to-market requirement. It provides a strong driving force in rapid application development (RAD) tools for embedded software. In this thesis, a component-based development tool, called Builder for Embed- ded SofTware (BEST), is presented to provide an e±cient and easy way to build embedded software. BEST consists of a component repository, application templates, and a visualized RAD tool. In particular, developers can select and con‾gure an application template and a set of components to obtain a prototype of the embedded software by using BEST. Further- more, developers can also design graphic user interface in a WYSIWYG way by using our visualized RAD tool. As a result, BEST can help developers to reduce time-to-market and costs for developing embedded software. In this thesis, we will introduce the detail of the implementation of BEST and provide example applications, such as a guide for demonstrat- ing the basic usage of our proposed development tools, MP3 player and digital photo frame, which were developed by BEST to illustrate the e±ciency of the development of embedded software.
